#I don't really think Teru would be a progressive rock guy but let the artist project. for the punchline #Ritsu probably accepted to listen for a dare and severely underestimated how huge an 5 songs-long album can be #also I'll seize the opportunity to talk about my favorite rock fan Teru headcanon #you know when kids/young teens discover about rock and get REALLY into an old but mainstream band while thinking its super obscure?#I imagine 9 year old Teru being a huge fan of Guns N' Roses or something because it was one of the only bands he knew #and getting a too big band shirt because he was an excited child who just became “independent” and could take his own decisions #the shirt is now worn and holey. the print is fading. it has been two years since it was oficially declared unfit to wear in public #but for some reason Teru can't bring himself to throw it away yet. I genuinely do not give a fuck about the black parade album being "overrated" and "overplayed" and ppl wishing that they were touring a different album, (saying this as someone who's obsessed with danger days which is constantly overlooked!!!!!!) bc there are so many amazing songs on tbp that AREN'T overplayed and I never dreamed I could hear live. DISENCHANTED??? HELLO??? The transition between the end and dead! ???? tbp is iconic for a reason she is that girl and I will always stand by the fact that it is not overrated and actually fully and appropriately rated because it's a perfect 10/10 masterpiece of an album. I love you the black parade you are so special to me <3

Is this a safe place to admit that I tried really hard to get into MCR when I was a fourteen year old emo, but I never could???

#this is NOT an mcr critical post. drop your favorite mcr song. convert me please. i want in on this but can't figure out how.#they have some BOPS but I never got into the hype in the same way that my fellow emos at the emo corner lunch table seemed to.#Summertime is my favorite song by them and I think that's considered high blasphemy in the fandom but dnfkjsfns oh well #I also really liked the sharpest lives iirc?#I need to give them another shot now that i'm not sixteen. maybe I can appreciate them more now?#I don't even know why I couldn't click with them. You know yesterday or whenever it was when I was questioning whether or not I was depressed? Well, tbh, I think if I consider the fact that I have said very little publicly about Thunderpussy's second album, which, for all intents and purposes, should make me excited to be alive to talk about their new album, then...yeah! I'm depressed.

#I wish I had known about bt when atsushi was still around:( like #getting into them so much has been like a source of happiness and comfort this year #but then I feel kind of bad because the reason I found out about them is because someone died #for a while it was just one of those things that’s like yeah #sometimes an artist dies and that’s how you find out about their stuff #and it’s nice for people to continue discovering and loving someone’s art after they’re gone #but I’ve been feeling more sad about that lately #like I’ve never found a band that’s just felt so much like My thing before #there’s plenty of bands and songs I love but #I’ve never really gotten this obsessed or invested in a specific band #so part of me wishes I had discovered them sooner or heard about them under better circumstances #and not cause I happened to be scrolling through tumblr during work and #saw goth blogs I follow posting memorial stuff #it feels kind of spooky and morbid too because I had been #thinking lately I wanted to find some goth bands from japan #if I had actually gotten around to doing the research I probably would have started listening to them #so it was weird timing #and I was showing my dad the climax together tour and he was kind of #lamenting that he had never heard of them when he was younger because he would have gotten so into their music #like. ah if my dad had any exposure to japanese rock when he was younger #I definitely would have grown up listening to a lot of buck-tick #and der zibet too probably #I was watching dz concert videos late last night #and issay was so cute and lively and full of energy #and then I thought about how he died in some accident and I started feeling upset #especially since one of my favorite movie actors died in a pretty horrific freak accident #it’s like I’d rather just not think about what might’ve happened (since there weren’t really public details)#anyway I’m just kind of like. having complicated feelings about all of it #different than sadness and grief I’ve felt over artists in the pass since it was all postmortem that I knew about them
