These two are Pepperpillion and Paprikorn! Pep is a ragdoll kitty, and Pap is a moggie, although her dominant traits seem to resemble a Somali.

Pepper is a house cat, well known for her beauty and the fact that she is very successful in the cat show circuit. She can seem a little out of touch with the more rough lifestyle of, especially, stray cats, but she’s never intentionally mean about those sorts of things, as she doesn’t believe she’s better than anyone else. Despite her occasionally airheaded nature, and perceived unapproachability due to her beauty, Pepper is a very social cat, who loves making friends and will spend time with just about anyone.

Prika is, at least according to her, a very well travelled cat. She’s known to disappear for days on end, before returning with a new and amazing story of some fantastical adventure she’s been on to a far off land. She’s a fantastic storyteller, using her minor magical abilities to create sound and lighting affects to entertain the kittens, many of whom truly believe her outrageous stories. The older cats are happy that the kits are having fun, at least. Prika is presumed to be a stray, although for all she talks, it’s hard to tell what tidbits she shares about her personal life are actually true.

The first three generations of the Warrior Cats fire family, in Picrews.

Firestar (AKA the whole reason this series exists). Like a lot of other WC fans, I headcanon him to be a Somali cat, which I tried my best to show here on the picrew.

Sandstorm! I don’t remember much about her, but I love her.

Squirrelflight/Squirrelstar (I think she’s a ‘Star now. I haven’t read the latest books, so I’ve only heard tell of her maybe becoming leader.) I headcanon she takes after her dad Firestar. Not shown: white paws and super floofy tail.

Leafpool: My favorite medicine cat— or at least one of them. I’ll take this as an opportunity to say “screw you” to the “medicine cats can’t have kits” rule in the Warrior code. We deserved more Leafpool being a good mama to her kits.

Jayfeather. My other favorite medicine cat. He’s super smart and compassionate, but often snarky and even grumpy at times. In fact, he reminds me of Dr. “Bones” McCoy from Star Trek.

And finally, Hollyleaf. Quick-witted and sharp as a tack. Also floofy, though not as much as Lionblaze. In my headcanons, she’s still on this earth doing clan cat stuff with her brothers.

Oh, i'm delighted to borrow you my ask game, i hope you get to show off your ideas genetics!

In fact, i'll to ask you something right now, let's say... Frostfur? Oh, and if you don't mind, Bluestar and Oakheart (and their families, if you want to), too!

thanks for the ask! I'm going to only cover Frostfur because her family tree is MASSIVE, but I may come back to Bluestar and Oakheart :)

Frostfur's a tricky one because she's a classic case of a solid white cat being born to non-white parents. I've done the closest I can manage, which is giving each parent a little white spotting and making her a colourpoint.

But speaking of these parents, I have a fun little trick I like to use: if one or both parents of a cat are unknown, I'm allowed to make one of them a purebred. This helped me out a lot for Robinwing (Frostfur's mother), who is described as a brown cat with a ginger patch on her chest. In theory, this is a tortoiseshell, but in practice the amount of white shed need for a big patch like that would ruin her recognizability as a robin. So, I have her down as a Somali mix! She does still need to be a tortie & white though, so she's a ticked tortoiseshell tabby & white with a lot of ruffousing (is that the right term? I always forget it).

Frostfur's father, Fuzzypelt, is easier but not without some tweaks for his decendents. For one, I have him down as a Cornish Rex mix, because I thought it was only fitting a cat with the fuzzy- prefix have a rex coat. Originally a black solid, he's now a black smoke with white, both for Frostfur's sake.

Going back to Frostfur (and skipping her siblings because Frostfur on her own is already a nuke on this poor family tree), she's now a silver tricolour tabby point. Most of these traits are handy tools that will help us later.

Her mate, Lionheart, is a "golden tabby," but I have him down as fawn. It would've made more sense as cream, but I needed to pick between tortie Cinderpelt and tortie Brightheart, and the latter already needed to be a tortie anyways. Lionheart is now a longhair fawn and white (I honestly cannot picture him as a tabby. If I had to, he would be a ticked tabby.) He's also a Scottish Fold mix due to my Smallear headcanons!

Frostfur's first kit is Brackenfur, who is a cinnamon mackerel tabby and white. Mostly self explanatory, as he's "golden brown," but he gets white from his mother, who has 2 white spotting genes. His mate, Sorreltail, is a longhair blue tortoiseshell smoke.

Their first kit, Cinderheart (who takes after her grandma and is also a nuke on the family tree) is a longhair blue tortoiseshell tabby & white. She's a tortie for the sake of her sons and has white for the sake of her blue eyes (I don't super understand the dominant blue eye gene yet, so I just gave every blue eyed cat some white). Her mate, Lionblaze, is a longhair red classic tabby, pretty self-explanatory.

Their first kit is Fernsong, a longhair cream mackerel tabby. His mate is Ivypool, a silver tabby point & white, and their kits are Bristlefrost, a longhair blue silver mackerel tabby tortoiseshell and white (what a mouthful!), Flipclaw, a cinnamon classic tabby, and Thriftear, a tortoiseshell. I could've made Fernsong fawn to make his daughters more canon-accurate, but tortie Bristlefrost my beloved.

Going back up to Cinderheart, her daughter Flywhisker is a longhair blue mackerel tortoiseshell tabby. (All of the CinderLion kits must be longhaired, due to both their parents being such. Small price to pay for Cinder's mane) Hollytuft is a longhair tortoiseshell, Snaptooth is a longhair red classic tabby & white (just to make him a little distinct from his father), Sorrelstripe is a longhair black mackerel tortoiseshell tabby & white, and Spotfur is a longhair blue mackerel tortoiseshell tabby & white. I would've loved to make Spotty here a spotted tabby, but that would take so many tweaks that just aren't worth it. Her spots are now her tortie markings.

Going back up to Brackenfur, his daughter Honeyfern is a cinnamon ticked tortoiseshell tabby & white. Lilyheart is a blue mackerel tabby and white (a she-cat who didn't need to be hit with the tortie beam?!), Molepaw is a silver classic tabby & white (to explain him being gray and black), Poppyfrost is a cinnamon tricolour, and Seedpaw is a cinnamon and white.

Going back to Poppyfrost, her mate, Berrynose, is a longhair fawn & white. (I've actually made Daisy fawn, because cream Berrynose was the only one that required her to be red anyways.) Their kits are Cherryfall, a cinnamon tortoiseshell and white, and Molewhisker, seal mink and white. He's mink to explain how he's brown and cream.

Going all the way back up to Frostfur, we can now do Brightheart, who is a cinnamon tricolour. She needed to be a tortie anyways, and I've always loved her design in the Girl Like Her MAP, so I likely would've made her one anyways. Her mate is Cloudtail, a longhair white solid (who I also headcanon as a siberian mix, because he has a kittypet father anyways and I love love love siberians). He's masking a red or cream silver classic tabby & white.

Ambermoon, their only kit to not have kits, is a red classic tabby & white. Dewnose, her brother, is a longhair blue & white. Unfortunately, his mate is Sorrelstripe, who we've already covered (fun fact: for a while the wiki stated that he was her mate, but was never stated to be her kits father. I wish that were still true). Their kits are Bayshine, a longhair red classic tabby bicolour, and Myrtlebloom, a longhair fawn solid.

Unfortunately again, Bayshine's mate is Thriftear. So far, their only known kit is Moonpaw, who in canon is a longhair tortoiseshell and the author's misunderstanding of a chimera. I've taken the liberties to make her a longhair cream classic tabby & white/tortoiseshell & white chimera.

Going back to Brightheart, her next kit is Snowbush, a longhair white solid like his father. He's masking a red tabby & white (I don't list traits that are masked unless needed, so his tabby type could be anything). His mate is Lilyheart.

Their kits are Honeyfur, a dilute tricolour (and one of the only cats I allowed myself to make a cryptic tortie, hence why I don't specify what kind of dilute), Larksong, a black solid, and Leafshade, a tortoiseshell.

Larksong's mate is Sparkpelt, a longhair cinnamon tortoiseshell mackerel tabby. Their kits are Finchlight, a tortoiseshell, Flickerkit, also a tortoiseshell (and XXY intersex now), and Nightheart, a longhair black solid.

Back up once again to Brightheart, her final kit is Whitewing, a white solid. She's masking silver (didn't list if tabby or not) tortoiseshell & white. Her mate is Birchfall, a fawn spotted tabby. Their kits are Dovewing, a longhair blue smoke and white (I love smoke Dovewing nobody can take it from me. White for the sake of my heterochromia headcanons), and Ivypool, who I'm realizing I already covered. See why I called Frostfur a nuke?

Dovewing's mate is Tigerstar the second, who is a cinnamon mackerel tabby & white. I like to make him and Bramblestar not black to make them distinct from Tigerstar the first. He has white for fun :)

Their kits are Birchpaw, a fawn solid, Lightleap, a black mackerel tabby, Pouncestep, a blue mackerel tabby, Rowankit, a cinnamon mackerel tabby & white (white because it felt weird that nobody was getting any), and Shadowsight. I have very specific headcanons for Shadowsight; he's a chimera between a longhair smoke with ghost mackerel tabby markings and a red-eyed albino. When I eventually draw him, I plan on giving him a white "mask" over his eyes.

Finally, we can move onto Frostfur's third kit, who mercifully has no children of her own. Cinderpelt is a longhair smoke and white. Moonkitti's design for her has permanently altered my perception of her, and while I do have her as black (she needs to be dark.), I can't not give her her lighter mane.

Finally, the final FrostFour kit is Thornclaw, a cream mackerel tabby & white. His mate is Blossomfall, a longhair tortoiseshell and white. Their kits are Eaglewing, a red ticked tabby, Plumstone, a tortoiseshell, Shellfur, a longhair tortoiseshell & white (who I also have marked down as XXY, but you could also make him trans if you'd like), and Stemleaf, a red mackerel tabby bicolour.

Stemleaf requires us to bring back Spotfur (sigh.) for their kits; Bristlepaw, a longhair red mackerel tabby bicolour, Graypaw, a longhair blue bicolour, and Stempaw, a red mackerel tabby & white.

I’ve been working on an AU and wanted to have some design for the cats involved, starting with the FireSand family! I had a lot of fun with Firestar specifically, especially after learning the Somali cat breed existed.

Fun Fact: The stars on Firestar represent his nine lives, no surprise there. the white ring around each star gets bigger with each life lost. After three lives it goes completely white. I thought it’d be a nice way to incorporate them, since I love it when leaders have stars on them.

ah, foxpaw, the final member of the core four (and the one i draw the least because i based him off of a somali cat and i cant nail down a design for him)! he is a big-shot thunderclan apprentice that tries a little too hard to be "aloof and cool."

foxpaw hates the smell of all of the herbs in the medicine cat's den and tends to avoid it whenever he can.

the clan was never told who foxpaw's father is - this is something that is socially acceptable within ThunderClan for a queen to keep to herself.

he was named foxkit for his striking orange coat, which stood out next to his brother and his mother.

foxpaw has insomnia.

he doesn't particularly understand ThunderClan's two-party system and at this point he feels he's in too deep to ask - wouldn't want to come off as unintelligent to anyone!

foxpaw is horrendous at talking about his feelings and tends to make inappropriate jokes to "cope" with it.

his warrior name, foxrush, comes from the fact that he tends to act before he thinks - when something happens, he rushes in to defend his clan, even if it could've been amicably worked out otherwise. he has a hero complex, but that doesn't mean he's good at it.

THE RUNDOWN.

Alma grew up in Aurora Bay, she’d never lived anywhere else in her life. A product of a loving family, they Kahlif family lived in their small apartment huddled in Ocean Crest. Her parents both being immigrants worked hard to give Alma and her sister what they needed in life, and a little more if possible. As a little girl she was close to her parents, but as she got older and reached  high school, Alma began to be more distant from her family unit.There were a lot of rumours around town about Alma Khalif around this time. Some were mild enough she could get a good laugh out of, but some were downright awful. And it wasn’t as if she did anything to deserve the cruelty, she spent most of her years being a well liked and popular kid amongst her peers. But it was one party, one night, and one whisper that blew everything out of proportion. He was tall, popular, with dark hair and a smile that stretched for miles, and Alma was smitten. And in the corner of the kitchen at house party, Alma realised the boy who she’d been flirting with for weeks had different expectations than she. He proposed sex, Alma denied him. Scared he’d react negatively, surprisingly, he walked away from her seemingly fine with her decision. But as time passed, a game of whispers passed between lips and ears, stretching across the party, changing and adjusting each time. By the time the story got back to Alma, she was mortified. This town must of been starved for entertainment, the judging glares followed her for weeks. Pushed out by most of her friend group, Alma found herself in the incredible position of having to convince her own best friends that she in fact did not sleep with all their boyfriends. The boy at the party was denied her body, so he casually destroyed her reputation. Caught between distraught and fury, Alma found herself becoming vindictive. The few friends that believed her and knew the whispers were only malicious whispers saw a change in their friend. If Alma was going to be called a man-eater and a home wrecker, she’d play into their view of her, and play the role to protect herself from the anger. If she couldn’t convincingly deny the narrative, she’d assume it in order to control it. High school passed and Alma became an adult, but the small town rumours of the ‘vixen’ followed her. Still covered by the protective hardened sleeve, Alma conceded that the softer version of her was destroyed. However with those who didn’t show judgement, Alma would be their life of the party, holding onto whatever validation she can. Her sister suggested finding a fresh start in a new town would help her, but Alma refuses to leave her family behind, despite how stuck she may feel in town.  Despite the changes in her life, Alma’s love for surfing and the ocean remained, the only place she’d find peace. When not catching waves, she’d be found at her job at Surfs Up.

Day 1: Grumpy Cat/Fairytale

Sorry, this was rushed and probably garbage….😅

Marinette was in a good mood, in fact she was in a great mood!  First of all it was Summer, second it was a warm day, not a hot day, a warm day; there is a difference, and finally her brother was coming over soon.  The cat inside of her purred at the thought of seeing her grumpy cat once again.

They were both cat shifters and had met when they were really young.  Marinette had been basking in the sun in her shifted form (a Somali Cat) on her balcony when suddenly a Manx cat landed on top of her.  They rolled around fighting.  They clawed, hissed at, and bit the other until they fell through the trap door and onto Marinette’s bed, Marinette landing atop the other strange black and brown cat.

Marinette had quickly gotten off the other cat and shifted back to her 5 year old human form and glared at the cat who just looked mad and grumpy.  She could tell the cat was also a shifter, and she demanded they shift back and tell her why they attacked her.  He never did though.

And this happened almost everyday for a week!  After that it became a fun game and she would wait and try to watch him so she could sneak attack him.  It never worked….but it was a fun game!  Then one day the cat was gone and didn’t return.  It made Marinette sad, she really liked playing with Mr. Grumpy (as she named him since he never told her!).

A year passed and when Marinette was relaxing in the grass at the park in front of her house something pounced at her.  Her instincts warned and she was able to move just in time before Mr. Grumpy cat was able to land atop her.  Marinette felt her tail swish in joy and she quickly ran, the other cat following right behind her.

It wasn’t until another two years that he revealed himself.  Apparently they were siblings, and his name was Damian, he was sent to assassinate her all those years ago, but instead he had trained her.  She never bought it as training, just a bunch of fun different games!  They spent hours just talking to and getting to know the other in the safety and calm of her room.

Marinette smiled at her memories as she waited atop her balcony.  She was so lost in thought she didn’t even notice a Manx cat sneaking up on her and jumping at her.  She jumped when she felt the prick of claws as they dug into her shirt only to be released when her brother was resting on her shoulder.  Marinette rolled her eyes at her brother and his antics.

“Hello to you too Mr. Grumpy Cat.”

Damian hisses at the name putting as much disdain in it as he could.  Marinette giggled and happily turned toward the door to her room.  As soon as Marinette was in her room Damian jumped off her shoulders and onto the chase as he shifted back.

“Hello Pinkie.”

Damian said monotonously.  Marinette rolled her eyes and leaned back laying on her bed.

“Grumpy Cat.”

“Tt.”

Marinette smiled to herself and was about to roll out of bed when she saw a robin staring at her from the balcony door.  Marinette glared at it and watched as whoever that was quickly flew away.  Marinette rolled her eyes as she closed the door and placed the curtains against them.  There were some weirdos in this world.

Quickly shifting, Marinette jumped at Damian and began to run her cheek against Damian’s chin when he caught her.  He smirked with a roll of his eyes and set her down next to him.  Quickly he shifted back and cuddled up against her as the sunlight from her side window shined on them.

Marinette didn’t realize she had fallen asleep, but she must have because when she opened her eyes she saw a bunch of other men staring at them.  One of them was taking pictures and before Marinette could think her instincts kicked in and she leaped at the one with the camera claws at the ready and hisses when they dodged.

Damian watched from his place in the chaise with a smirk on his lips as he watched his sister chase his brothers around her room.  Served them right, no one messed with her and got away with it.  He had learned that the first time he attacked her.  Watching her yell at them in her human form was just the cherry on top.

Oh come the fuck on Muffin, this is bullying.

But alright.

Alice is a devon rex. Tiny, nearly hairless (depends on the individual, the devons I've been introduced to had so little hair I could see the skin. There were just a few wisps of hair on top. "My cat totally has fur. Look at the top of his head!"), extremely high energy, very intelligent, a little insane. The devon rex has a lot of personality.

Bella is a kurilian bobtail. Quite rare breed, very beautiful but with the unique feature of a bobbed tail. Bella would zero in on that bobbed tail and feel extremely self-conscious about it. Seeing as cats use their tails for balance, Bella's lack of one also makes her slightly clumsier than others (I have no idea if kurilians are in fact less balanced than other cats, bear with me on this one). She also feels self-conscious that her breed is bigger than Edward's, she now dwarfs him. Woe.

Carlisle is a Norwegian forest. Extremely patient and with a gentle temper, the Norwegian forest cat is known to be a very child- and family friendly cat, not to mention incredibly beautiful. They're a very social breed, preferring cohabiting with other cats to solitude.

(Yes, I know the cat on the picture is female, but it's hard to find good cat pictures on Google.)

Edward is a somali cat, specifically a sorrel somali. Ridiculously beautiful, and with a deep red coat and green eyes the cat matches Edward's aesthetic perfectly. They are slender, youthful-looking, if I had to pick a cat in terms of physique for a perpetual seventeen-year-old boy it would be this one.

Emmett is a Maine coon. A fuckoff sized massive Maine coon male. They're known to have an easy-going and lovely temper, but mostly I'm choosing this breed for the appearance.

The one argument against Emmett the Maine coon is that coons are less dense than certain other breeds, you pick one up and it's shockingly willowy. The Siberian and the Norwegian are in my experience more robust, but the Emmett gets Maine coon since the coon is larger at the end of things.

Esme is hard, I think I'll choose Holy Birman because it's a breed I just don't know much about. What I do know is that they are beautiful, delicate-looking, and typically indoor cats. Known to be affectionate and mild-mannered.

Jasper is a Savannah. This cat is part feral, only a few generations removed from Servals, they eat raw meat and are not approved in several cat organisations. This is not a domestic cat, what are you doing with one in your house.

Rosalie is a neva masquerade. I chose this one partly to appease @franzias-cave, partly because goddamnit it fits.

The neva masquerade is a sister breed to the Siberian, the difference being that the neva is colorpoint. The neva has startling blue eyes, fabulous white-dominated coat and a strong body. They're very compact, a lot of round shapes (round face, round ears, round eyes, round everything) which isn't all that Rosalie, but the overall impression is of grace, majesty, and beauty, which is very Rosalie.

Renesmee is a lykoi.

A brand new cat breed, one no one saw coming and that usually gets the response, "You sure that's a cat?"

Worth noting I posted this without waiting for @franzias-cave to give their five cents, so I expect they'll have input on this one if not a list of their own.

the cullens post-canon are turned into cats. what breeds are they?
