In general we tried to communicate Tessa as a bit of a morbid lil goober as much as possible in her room design, but if I were to do it again, I’d try to include more obvious clues like bleach baths for the hair and even more bones lol. It somewhat played into Tessa’s emotional distance from humans and affinity for drones, as well as her parent’s general disdain for her as some kind of unsociable freak - in general, the background lore of the manor was so dummy dense that a lot of stuff had to be left more open/only vaguely implied. Not ideal in a lot of ways, but in other ways, I kinda think it makes it more fun to have this largely unexplored corner of the world!"

Good god Tessa sure is something, kind of wish we got to see more of her she seems like she'd be a fun character. Also might use this fact in my solver Tessa au.

- she wields a knife instead of a gun, couldn’t stomach the thought of holding one again

- her thoughts on drones are….complicated to say the least

- she doesn’t hate them tho. hate is a strong word

- has problems with physical touch. it freaks her out

- she only uses the solver as a last resort, or as an automatic defence mechanism at times

- tends to snap easily under pressure. has been trying to suppress that

- regenerating hurts. a lot.

Made a quick guide to the relationships between Tessa, Cyn and the Solver in the Solver Tessa AU.

Cyn and Absolute Solver

After nearly killing Tessa Cyn and Absolute Solver relationship changed as Cyn now believes Absolute Solver needs guidance to make a place where her family can live freely. Before that Solver made all the plans, this has caused arguments between the two as they don't always see eye to eye. Cyn very much still sees the Solver as her saviour and is willingly a host but now stays awake when Solver uses her body much to the annoyance of the Solver.

Cyn to Tessa

Cyn sees Tessa as a big sister and wants to make a better place for her. Solver might have given her a chance at living but Tessa was the one who let her live. It makes Cyn very upset to see what the humans are doing to Tessa and tries everything in her power to make it better.

Absolute Solver to Tessa

Absolute Solver regrets giving Tessa part of it's power as there is no way to directly control her but Cyn is to attach to her to get rid of her.

Tessa to Cyn/Absolute Solver

Tessa is unaware that Cyn and Absolute Solver are two different entities. The Solver doesn't have a body of it's own and there are no easy tells to see which one is in control, this means to Tessa Cyn just randomly switches from being overly caring to cold hostility.

"Never be Alone"

Started on the sixth of January and planned to be finished on the fourteenth, but landed up not doing that. Somewhere on the sixteenth, I basically said "haha whoops" and pumped out twenty panels. According to Procreate, it took 15 hours and 37 minutes to finish Panels 1-10; 27 hours and 15 minutes on Panels 11-20; and 34 hours and 8 minutes for Panels 21-30.

In total, I have no idea. I just know it took some serious time.

Unlike with She's Gone, I wrote a script. Well, all I wrote was dialogue and some minor actions for Panels 5-23, though lines were changed "in post." Everything else was by the seat of my pants. However, I can say for sure that I was planning on ending it with N being hopeful, but all I had room for was him crying. He cannot catch a break.

(also to those who suspected uzi was still in there, guess you were right all along.)

Insane part 1, Solver Tessa au :0

Your AU's idea of SolverCyn keeping Tessa's consciousness alive inside it actually seems really in-character for the canon SolverCyn. I remember someone pointing out that between Cyn and Tessa's matching hairstyles, the way that SolverCyn has been wearing Tessa's human corpse as a skinsuit and impersonating her identity in the spacesuit ever since the Well-Timed Giggle, and the way Cyn and Tessa both share a special fondness for N among the drones, it really seems like either the Solver - or the part of the Solver that's still Cyn - has a real underlying fixation on emulating Tessa.

Yeah, I see Cyns disturbing fixation of Tessa being a once innocent admiration that got twisted by the corruption. When you like someone enough you tend to parrot them and pick up their tendencies. this is really apparent in impressionable kids, and Cyn is our resident possessed robo child. Imitation is the highest form of flattery.

I think it’s a funny twist of irony that the entities that hate humans so much, are so deeply obsessed with one. In the end they just want to own every piece of Tessa.
