WE WON GAYS! WE WON!
I cannot believe it. Like actually.
First ever fanart of these two, and I probably do more, I love them so much. Will they give them rings? Probs not cause of animation and all that jazz. But it’s nice to think about.
Korvo’s a silver girlie, try to change my mind. And Terry likes the tacky gold colour, idk it fits them!

You know, the whole plot on the 100 about the mountain men not being able to metabolize radiation starts to make less and less sense the more I think about it with my knowledge of how radiation works but sure if it fits the plot then whatever, you win with your magic radiation shit.

The final addition to the Celestial Phenomena cast (for now) - Solar's Sun "Swift" as he appears in my TSAMS Celestial Phenomena AU in "Impact Event." Mind the ratings.
Imagine blinking and finding three years have passed, your little brother Eclipse Solar has vanished and your Moon Styx seems... different. In fact, everything feels a little different.
Because the body you've been resurrected in was stolen, and the original occupant - a kidnapped sunny-model from another dimension - is still in there with you, imprisoned to help you rebuild.
Kind-hearted and self-sacrificing to a fault. The forbidden fruit of his Daycare. The smiling ghost that haunts his brothers, even after all this time. Tribally loyal to his Moon. Has to reconcile how his memory poisoned everything beyond repair. May never be entirely happy again.
Spoilers below for end-game of the arc Swift is introduced in.
Has permanent walking issues due to the botched separation of him and Solar. Internal gyroscopes and locomotion animations sometimes fall out of sync, so he has a custom-built cane to help him balance. To steady himself more than weight-bear. Solar offered to make something really fancy, but Swift didn't want any children with mobility aids to feel theirs wasn't as good, so they compromised. There's magnets in the handle instead of having a wrist loop. Modelled to look like wood, but it's actually a special alloy to take his animatronic weight without being heavy or snapping. Has hollow compartment for band-aids, candies and sterilising wipes.

The new Solarballs episode is basically angst potential and I loved it, so mini rant (again).
Spoilers below:
Tw: Manipulation, mental health problems and implicit character death discussion
Uranus keeps being manipulated by X like people already have pointed out. Like, damn, he even talked about the "Caelus should be your name" thingy with the guy. (Also, wtf X, really? "The butt of the joke"? Be fr). Every time Uranus seems to doubt him, X immediately caters to his feelings in a very shady way if you ask me. And, as always, Uranus is too insecure to question the morality of literally doing the same thing that Jupiter did, only to get the "privilege" of being in Saturns orbit. Uranus is not thinking it trough, and X is taking advantage of that.
He straight up told him that he knew what he wanted: "recognition".
The Sun is also being pressured and kind of manipulated through guilt tripping... X is really playing chess with them.
Then there's Jupiter... Oh Jupiter. He was basically gone at that point. When the moons (and Neptune) found him he didn't want to hear them out AT ALL. He thought they weren't real. The time he was vanished wasn't even that long, but he was full of enough guilt, paranoia and shame that he just needed that extra push to absolutely break down. When he explained to the group what he did to try and compansate his mistakes, he genuinely thought it wasn't enough because he failed to save some of the early planets.
Some-of-them.
Like, the actual inner planets are *literally* alive thanks to him, something that the group tried to explain, but he still thought it wasn't enough. His mistakes still haunt him, specially now that he's alone. Jupiter doesn't have a "vendetta motivation" to keep himself sane like X did. He gave up on returning thanks to all the shame.
(The Solar System could collapse if he doesn't realize how important he is).
AND, I know the fandom loves them, THEIA IS FINALLY CANON GUYS. I just know that the rocky planets angst enthusiasts are going to love this one. Also, also, we can't forget that Jupiter tried to protect them (as he did with all other celestial bodys after the incident) and failed... Do with that as you wish.

Hello! I loooove your outer wilds comics so much! I'm specially having lots of fun with Quartz, they're such an entertaining character! I was wondering, is there fanfic with them? Or are you only working in comics? (I remember reading a post with "Quartz Factor Spoilers" on it and thinking maybe it was referencing another story?)
And about fanfics, I also wanted to ask you for recommendation! I would love anything with time buddies in it, if there is any that you would like to share!!
Love your art and I hope you have a nice day!!
Hi! Thank you so much!!
Yeah unfortunately I only enjoy writing dialogues so could never make that into fully fledged fics 😅 Quartz Factor is a title of the comic.
Ah yes, the thing I'm best at! The fic recs guy! Here are some time buddies recommendations:
Strange Music (vibing at the Stranger)
A Sense of Humour Never Hurt (sweet & angsty, hurt/comfort)
The Rule of Quantum Certainty (friendship, some angst, exploring solar system together shenanigans, long)
We'll See This End Together (just vibing, visiting Quantum Moon together)
Don't Forget (very angsty possibility)
fear (angsty hurt/comfort, Nomai feels)
neither benign nor hostile, merely indifferent (short & angsty hurt/comfort)
Off the Marshmallow Stick and Into the Campfire (time buddies end up in new/alternate universe, long)
time's cruel art (Gabbro tries to help, very angsty)

Every Tervo kiss  💚 💙💋
⚠️Spoilers obviously⚠️
The Lavatic Reactor (S1E5): While under the influence from the Dumb Ray, Korvo tried to kiss Terry because he thought he was “giving out signals”, leaving Terry befuddled. Ironic, huh? Terry’s usually the affectionate one but keep in mind, this was season 1 so they were basically still ambiguous.
On the first holiday special “A Very Solar Holiday Opposites Special”, they shared a little kissy 😘
The Earth Eraser (S2E10): A little reconciliation kiss, while they were both naked and covered in food at a grocery store
Barely any kissing at all until Seasons 4 & 5 (aka the British Korvo era)
Ping Pong Table (S4E2): Korvo “Gerald-games” Terry by seducing him, making out with him,  handcuffing him to the bed then leaving. At the end, they almost kiss until the pizza delivery guy arrives
The Stockiverse Ray (S4E6): Terry tells Korvo that he smells like shit’s ugly sister from eating too much nums-nums but he still kisses him anyways.
The Re-Visibility Bouillabaisse (S4E10): They have invisible make-up sex. (Which starts with making out ofc)
On the Valentine’s Day special, they have to kiss and fuck to save the world . Or and of course, they kiss at their wedding.
The Clervixian Dinner Helmets (S5E1): They kiss while being attacked by Clervixian aliens.
The Never-Ending Honeymoon Story (S5E2): They smooch a bunch in this episode.
On the 3rd episode of the 5th season, they tongue kiss then Terry smacks Korvo on the ass.
On the 8th episode, the What If Device episode, they make out and almost end up having sex until they’re interrupted.
Finally, in the latest Halloween 2 Special, they kiss at the end.

a compilation of some of my favourite quotes in The Outer Wilds. Spoiler warning, of course. Some of these quotes imply or suggest certain things that (in most cases) are very spoilery.
"So… we died, but we aren’t dead? That’s pretty unusual for Hearthians."
"An iron stomach is the mark of a true Hearthian, my friend. Our hardy hunter-gatherer lifestyle stems from trial and error. By which I mean our ancestors survived eating a lot of bad things."
"We only get so much time, don’t we? Ah, there was still more I wanted to do... How unlucky to have been born at the end of the universe."
"The stars were beautiful, weren’t they? Even if our star is what ultimately killed us."
"I am unsure how to survive in this place without you. (I am unsure how to be me without you.)"
"The pain of your absence is sharp and haunting, and I would give anything not to know it; anything but never knowing you at all (which would be worse)."
"Is the hardest part of this tragedy not knowing who we may have lost? Or will the hardest part come later, when we learn?"
"If we fail (and the probability of this is not insignificant), we will without question destroy ourselves, all life here, and the rest of this star system. I wish to protect these species."
"Fear of failure is a poor reason not to try."
"An alien race lived in this solar system long before our species even existed! How could I not want to see what their civilization was like?"
"AHHH! That doesn’t make any sense! I don’t understand! I am very excited for you, though! P-please stop yelling!"
"I tell you what, this has been really fun. And I got to help make something pretty cool, so I’ve got no complaints. I mean, not me, exactly, but close enough. It’s the kind of thing that makes you glad you stopped and smelled the pine trees along the way, you know?"
"Mission: Science compels us to explode the sun!"
"We do not have much connection, you and I. Still, this encounter feels special. I hope you won’t mind if I think of you as a friend."
"This song is new to me, but I am honored to be a part of it."
"What they could not unlearn was hidden away in darkness — obfuscated, then lost. They did not want to see their story end."
"My role in this ended long ago, and now I’ve learned my efforts weren’t in vain. Thank you for facing what was hidden in the dark."
"…How beautiful. It’s different than I’d envisioned. Whatever happens next, I do not think it is to be feared."
"I learned a lot, by the end of everything. The past is past, now, but that’s… you know, that’s okay! It’s never really gone completely. The future is always built on the past, even if we won’t get to see it. Still, it’s um, time for something new, now."
