anyway these are the musicals i think the kids at wagstaff would each try to convince frond to put on:

gene: okay so there are a LOT of options with gene and i think he would like the classics and the really weird ones but i’m on a urinetown kick and i think he would vibe with it. it’s got everything! romance… drama… social commentary… fourth wall breaking… gay people… pee jokes… he would hear lockstock go “wee-wee never fail” and immediately declare that this was the greatest work of musical theater created this century, and he’s insistent they all perform it

louise: evil dead the musical, sweeney todd, little shop, beetlejuice, the guy who didn’t like musicals— you got a horror musical, she’s naming it. evil dead is her top choice because of the traditional audience splatter zone, but she also thinks sweeney would be a ton of fun. she also likes suessical but doesn’t back andy and ollie up when they suggest it. would also be happy with spamalot

tina: she’s a phantom of the opera girlie, i just know it. she is also supportive of evil dead for Obvious Reasons. she’d put her vote behind anything with a heavy romance theme (or zombies) but phantom seems up her specific alley imo

jimmy junior: if it’s dance heavy, he throws it out there. newsies, footloose, billy elliot, a chorus line, cats, west side story, hairspray, anything goes— he’ll do any show with a lotta dancing, he just wants to move. he only leaves grease out because wagstaff did it several years in a row and it’s off the table. he also tells gene he will back urinetown if he’s allowed full creative control of snuff the girl

andy and ollie: as previously mentioned, their first choice is suessical. also you’re a good man, charlie brown, shrek, beauty and the beast… they have the basic “things your local middle school might actually put on” choices, but then ollie throws everyone for a loop by strongly agreeing with louise’s sweeney todd suggestion with absolutely no prompting, and andy further baffles everyone by disagreeing with his twin and backing jj’s suggestion of cats

courtney: rails hard for les mis because she’s pretty sure she was born to play éponine, actually. i also think she’d like legally blonde, but her Deep Connection With Éponine compels her to fight for les mis. she also feels very strongly that they don’t do starlight express because keeping her dad from butting in will already be hard enough, and they cannot bring roller-skates into the whole affair or it will be unbearable trying to get him to back off

tammy: wants to do heathers. is convinced she’d be cast as veronica

jocelyn: backs tammy up on heathers. knows tammy would not be cast as veronica

rudy: oliver! this one is just because it was my favorite musical when i was his age and i love rudy so dearly, but i do genuinely think it would be something he’s familiar with and would suggest. i also think he really loves putnam, and that’s a strong suggestion from his as well. he’s also happy to back up louise, andy and ollie when oliver and putnam are (sadly) met with “meh” from most of classmates

benj: everyone thinks he’s gonna vouch for avenue q because puppets but he’s insistent that most productions just rent out the avenue q puppets, and those that don’t all stick with the same basic designs for everybody. he doesn’t think he’d get a lot of creative leeway with avenue q, and instead he goes in hard for little shop. please let him design, build and operate a bunch of twoeys, it’s all he’s ever wanted

zeke: backs j-ju but also kind of wishes they were doing a play instead of a musical so he could suggest some tennessee williams

The Carr Cosplay Diaries (Entry #2)

Hey guys!

Okay we have had a lot of progress done today.

I now have my core elements of the outfit, besides the wig, and still waiting on more studs and rhinestones.

Today was just finding a basic shape.

The belt has a decoration that I can hopefully get rid of and make into a plain V shaped belt.

I also decided to use a bra in this outfit too as, unfortunately, I was not cut out for a deep v-neck like I hoped. I will also stud and glam up the bra so it looks like it ties into the costume

(I apologise I look so horrendous in this, I’ve got a cold atm)

The arm bands, cuffs and choker will all be done after the boots and unitard.

Also I LOVE THE FUR SO MUCH, it’s so cute.

A busy day of sewing for this fox.
