Ngl it's really sad that Rick and Morty will forever be flooded by dudebros. Like, it's a queer show about canonically neurodivergent characters. I feel like the positive side of the fandom would be much bigger if the show wasn't known for the toxic dudebros. That being said, seasons 4-5 were pretty bad imo. I'm currently working on my own ranking of every episode.

the ending of fear no mort might actually singlehandedly be the most character growth we ever see in rick than anywhere else in the entire series. the worn photo of morty in rick's wallet that he clearly keeps on him at all times and the fact that he just so simply disproves morty's fear that rick doesn't give a shit about him with that little photo alone, the fact that he didn't jump in the hole despite knowing morty saw diane in there, finally choosing to stop chasing the past and just let himself be in the present with the people he still has in his life. somebody hold me i am so insane i've been overanalyzing this all morning
