I always find it fascinating when nature does things that we cannot manipulate in any way and that remind us of how magnificent and powerful she is. And the amount of awe it inspires is not related to the size of the event or object. The upcoming solar eclipse is just as amazing as the summer molt of the Goldfinches. 🐕 - This dog is 'disc'-overing hidden treasures! Get ready for the 'paws'-itively successful fundraiser, Daisy's Discs!

1. Most unionized US rail workers now have new sick leave

More than 60% of U.S. unionized railroad workers at major railroads are now covered by new sick leave agreements, a trade group said Monday.

Last year railroads came under fire for not agreeing to paid sick leave during labor negotiations.

2. Missing teen found after being lost in the wilderness for 50 hours

Esther Wang, 16, had been hiking with three other people through the Maple Ridge park on Tuesday.

The group made it to Steve’s lookout around 2:45 p.m. that day.However, when they headed back down to the campsite, after about 15 minutes of hiking, the group leader realized Wang was missing. They returned to the lookout to look for Wang but couldn’t find her. The leader headed to the trail entrance to notify a park ranger and police.

“Esther Wang has been located. She’s healthy, she is happy and she’s with family.”

3. A dog has retrieved 155 discs from woods. They’ll be on sale soon, with proceeds going to the park in West Virginia where they were found

Meet Daisy, the yellow Labrador retriever with a unique talent for finding lost Frisbee golf discs at Grand Vue Park in West Virginia. Four years ago, while on a walk with her owner Kelly Mason, Daisy discovered a disc in the woods and proudly brought it back. Since then, Daisy's obsession with finding stray discs has grown, and she has collected an impressive cache of 155 discs.

Mason and park officials have now come up with a plan to return the discs to their owners if they are labeled, and any unclaimed discs will be sold as a fundraiser to support the park's disc golf courses. Daisy's Discs is expected to be a success, with many excited about the possibility of recovering their lost discs thanks to Daisy's remarkable skills.

4. Australian earless dragon last seen in 1969 rediscovered in secret location

A tiny earless dragon feared to be extinct in the wild has been sighted for the first time in more than 50 years – at a location that is being kept secret to help preservation efforts.

The Victorian grassland earless dragon, Tympanocryptis pinguicolla, has now been rediscovered in the state, according to a joint statement issued by the Victorian and federal Labor governments on Sunday.

5. Detroit is going to power 100% of its municipal buildings with solar

All of Detroit’s municipal buildings are going to be powered by neighborhood solar as part of the city’s efforts to combat climate change – check out the city’s cool grassroots plan. Meet Detroit Rock Solar City.

The city has determined that it’s going to need around 250 acres of solar panels in order to achieve 100% solar power for its municipal buildings.

6. Canada Officially Bans Cosmetic Testing on Animals

The fight for cruelty-free beauty in Canada has seen a significant breakthrough as the Canadian government legislates a full ban on cosmetic animal testing and trade, marking a victory for Animal rights advocates and eco-conscious consumers.

This landmark decision is part of the Budget Implementation Act (Bill C-47), not only prohibiting cosmetic animal testing but also putting an end to the sale of cosmetics that use new animal testing data for safety substantiation.

7. Belize certified malaria-free by WHO

The World Health Organization (WHO) has certified Belize as malaria-free, following the country’s over 70 years of continued efforts to stamp out the disease.

“WHO congratulates the people and government of Belize and their network of global and local partners for this achievement”, said Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director-General. “Belize is another example of how, with the right tools and the right approach, we can dream of a malaria-free future.”

THE SEVEN RAYS OF LIGHT

Not unlike our physical sun (the source of all visible light that can be broken up into its seven component colors), the Solar Logos of our system too is a source of seven great cosmic Rays of spiritual light that can help accelerate our spiritual growth. These Rays build up the causal body of man, and to each of them there are various spiritual and physical qualities assigned. In this case we can say that the term “Ray” is used in a sense of one special type of force or energetic quality. These seven great streams of energy represent each and every vibration in nature, space and form, and they permeate all objects, all beings and all events in manifestation. They interpenetrate each other and combine themselves in order to produce more complex systems which we refer to as “reality”. The seven Rays surpass the possible description by words, or even by thoughts or feelings. They are too essential and all-encompassing to be limited within our own narrow inner space of perception of the great spectrum of reality. Still, certain description of these Rays is possible in terms of the corresponding qualities. Certain qualities of the Rays can be also connected to the seven chakras and to the crystals and mineral kingdom.

THE BLUE RAY OF LIGHT - BLUE FLAME

The Blue Ray is the first Ray of light. The energy of this Flame is the first and final synthesis, the source of all the other energies. The Blue Flame is in the core of the very strength and energy. The first Ray is represented in the power of intent, cause, direction, centralization and unity, and its keynote is will - Divine Will. The basic qualities of the Blue Flame are manifested through the energies of power, strength, faith and protection.

The Blue Flame Invocations should be performed on Sunday, since this is the day when the irradiation of this Ray is especially dominant. Its most prominent representative is Archangel Michael, whose magnificent appearance and presence has been preserved in the humanity’s outer consciousness, if only, unfortunately, at its periphery. Elohim Hercules is also one of the representatives of this ray.

Archangel Michael is the leader of all Archangels and Angels. With His blue flaming sword, Archangel Michael can free you from your bad karma, negative energy and restraints that bind you to other people, situations and memories from the past. He can give you strength, power and protection from the devastating thoughts, feeling and deed of others. Each day, Archangel Michael resides in the Astral kingdom of the lower regions for about 22 hours, where He disperses hatred, envy and fear. If somebody is sending you negative thoughts or thoughts that confront you own will, your strength is going to weaken and this can undermine your success in life. Kindly ask Archangel Michael to stand between you and the sender of those negative thoughts, and to protect you. That is the way to turn the negative into positive. Archangel Michael will make you braver and more resolute, so that you can resolve you problems more easily. He will strengthen the will of God in you, as well as the power of faith. Both of these qualities will feed your inner strength, and your motivation is going to become noble and selfless.

Encompass yourself with the sky-blue light - the color of Archangel Michael and the ancient color of the Blue Flame. Let the Blue Ray heal you, increase your self-respect, strength and energy, and let it protect you from all the negative things that come to you.

The female side of Archangel Michael’s Divine nature is Faith.

Pray to Archangel Michael to be released from the emotional and other chains that bind you to other people or circumstances from the past. Pray so that you can be filled with love, and realize within yourself the power of Light. Feel this light in your heart and contribute to building a “bridge to freedom” on this path of Angels. In this endeavour you will get the help of Archangel Michael. Kindly ask Him for help while having faith in yourself, because “to him who knocks it will be opened”. Are you shocked by news of this record-breaking heat? Does the fact that you lived through two of the hottest days on Earth that scientists have ever recorded make you think differently about the risks and consequences of living on a rapidly-warming planet? Did you pause for a moment and think about the millions of people who sweat through this without air conditioning? Probably not.

The problem is not you. The problem is that a broken heat record is just another statistic. The story of the climate crisis is written in broken records that measure levels of CO2 pollution, glacial ice melt, rising sea levels, crop failure, megafires, the spread of diseases, heat deaths, wildfire and insurance costs, and economic losses. But if shocking data and broken records could galvanize people to take action on climate, we’d all be powering our iPhones with solar power from microgrids, and millions of cows and chickens would be liberated from factory farms. We’d have cities crowded with bike lanes and a high speed rail service between Dallas and Houston. We’d laugh at climate-hoaxing politicians and debate whether it is fair and just to charge Big Oil companies with criminally negligent homicide.

Everyone is lax at this headquarters, supers with their feet up on their desks playing their nimtendos, the goofy madame, just ignoring all of them, and going straight to her office with enough books that she won’t read fully to last her a couple days. He sighs, this place is home.

You shiver as you fall into a lap, saving you from—

You open your eyes hoping tot see Kai…

Youve fallen into Sobek’s lap.

You had been thinking about Kai…“Sobek? I was thinking about—” He slaps a hand over your mouth and that’s when realization for where you are hits everyone around you.

You’re too distracted by the fact that you teleported into Sobek’s lap while thinking about Kai, and have previously teleported into Kai’s lap focusing on Sobek…

“Is that a hero!?” A super in blue shouts.

How did you not see it? His body is exactly the same.

“HEY THERES A HERO!!!” Another one screeches.

They scramble off of the couch and some people walking by the windows see you, and swiftly pull an alarm switch on a wall nearby.

A blaring buzzer fills the atmosphere and pulses against your ear drums.

Your chest thrums violently with the noisy vibrations.

“Solar!? this is the villain HQ!” He hisses over the alarm!

“….” You’re frozen, staring into eyes that are hidden behind a mask.

“We have to get you out of here before the madame—” He’s cut off—

“Sobek!!!” A melodic voice rings out as if over an intercom, but you see the woman through the glass standing in front of the cubicles.

“RUN!” he shouts.

“Where? What!?” You aren’t prepared, your mind short circuits as it spins like a merry go round orbiting Kai and Sobek.

He throws your body over the sunken in couch at that point, “Just run!!!” And when your legs hit the ground they listen even while you’re still confused. You propel forward on them.

You see an elevator closing and sprint for that.

Even though Sobek is much faster than you, he ops to follow you close behind, protecting you from any bolts of power directed at you, hurling orbs of water to slow them down or stop them completely before they can touch you.

Other office workers are hiding under the desks as you pass by you see them pulling in their chairs to help hide themselves.

Kai suddenly overtakes you, tackling you down to the floor, and covering you with his body as a blast of something wizzes over your heads.

The elevator is still closing, all of this is happening in matters of second.

he’s the first to stand, jumping to his feet and taking your hand in his to pull you along.

You make it, just barely, he slaps his hand over the closing door and forces it back open, then he shoves you inside.

Without looking back he jumps in with you, and puts up a wall of turbulent water outside the elevator to protect you as the door closes far too slowly.

time feels like it slows with it.

You notice another man already inside, his eyes are wide as he glances between you both.

Kai smashes the ground floor button to go up, then spins to inspect you, his hands fly to your face tilting your head this way and that.

You snap out of it and smack his hands away from you. “What the fuck Kai!?”

He covers your mouth again, “Solar! once we are—”

You knock off his hand, “fuck no! You’re explaining yourself right now.”

The man looks between you two once more, when you meet his gaze he looks straight forward and sucks in his lips as if trying to pull himself physically out of here.

Kai lowers his voice to a whisper, “I knew it was you…”

Your heart drops. “You were messing with me?”

“No!! Solar! I… I like you.” He turns around suddenly and messes with his hair again.

You bite your lip, you don’t know what to think or say. You like Kai too… but Sobek? You can’t stand him. “I need some time.” you say with an empty voice. still trying to block out the world.

The elevator dings.

You walk out around Kai with your head down, and your heart clenching in your chest.

He watches you walk away, the same tightness in his.

🐕 - Meet Sheep Farm's Newest Employee: Collie Hired After Ejection from Car!

1. Border Collie ejected from car during Sunday crash found on sheep farm, herding sheep

Tilly, the 2-year-old Border Collie who was ejected from a car Sunday during a crash, has been found. He was found on a sheep farm, where he had apparently taken up the role of sheep herder. 

According to Tilly's owner, he has lost some weight since Sunday's crash and is now drinking lots of water but is otherwise healthy.

2. After 17-Year Absence, White Rhinos Return to the Democratic Republic of the Congo

The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) recently welcomed the reintroduction of 16 southern white rhinoceroses to Garamba National Park, according to officials. The last wild northern white rhino was poached there in 2006.

The white rhinos were transported to Garamba, which lies in the northeastern part of the country, from a South African private reserve. In the late 19th century, the southern white rhino subspecies was believed to be extinct due to poaching until a population of fewer than 100 was discovered in South Africa in 1895, according to WWF.

3. UK to wipe women’s historic convictions for homosexuality

Women with convictions for some same-sex activity in the United Kingdom can apply for a pardon for the first time, the Home Office has announced.

The Home Office is widening its scheme to wipe historic convictions for homosexual activity more than a decade after the government allowed applications for same-sex activity offences to be disregarded.

It means anyone can apply for a pardon if they have been convicted or cautioned for any same-sex activity offences that have been repealed or abolished.

4. Study shows human tendency to help others is universal

A new study on the human capacity for cooperation suggests that, deep down, people of diverse cultures are more similar than you might expect. The study, published in Scientific Reports, shows that from the towns of England, Italy, Poland, and Russia to the villages of rural Ecuador, Ghana, Laos, and Aboriginal Australia, at the micro scale of our daily interaction, people everywhere tend to help others when needed.

5. In a First, Wind and Solar Generated More Power Than Coal in U.S.

Wind and solar generated more electricity than coal through May, an E&E News review of federal data shows, marking the first time renewables have outpaced the former king of American power over a five-month period.

The milestone illustrates the ongoing transformation of the U.S. power sector as the nation races to install cleaner forms of energy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuels.

6. Iceland becomes latest country to ban conversion therapy

Lawmakers in Iceland on June 9 approved a bill that will ban so-called conversion therapy in the country.

Media reports note 53 members of the Icelandic Parliament voted for the measure, while three MPs abstained. Hanna Katrín Friðriksson, an MP who is a member of the Liberal Reform Party, introduced the bill.

7. The temple feeding 100,000 people a day
