Just a headcanon: After Sun hit Nexus with his magic, Nexus’s hat fell off his head. Sun (somehow) quickly and secretly grabbed his hat (and maybe stuffed it in his pocket) because it was the only thing in tact from whatever he did to Nexus.

Look we were given thumbnails where Nexus had Solar’s goggles, I wanna have Sun get a keepsake for Nexus. The brother he lost in more ways than one.
