Wisdom Goddess Matrix Talon Abraxas
10 Goddesses Meditation: Sitting with Divine Wisdom
The Wisdom Goddesses
The ten mahavidyas, which represent various phases of awareness, as well as different powers of the mental body and heart space which can return us to our pure consciousness, are as follows:
1. Kali
Kali is one of the more popular faces of the mother. When we bring her into our meditation, we see a fiery goddess that embodies the powers to set us free from any shackle that binds us. She also represents the creation of the Universe, a real and powerful force to be reckoned with.
Kali invites our awareness back to the state of total unification with the divine, leaving our small, ego selves behind, and setting us free from them. Her wisdom is vast, and her energy loving but fierce.
2. Tara
When we meditate on Tara, we see an omnipresent, three-eyed goddess. The wisdom goddess Tara symbolizes our innate potential to become enlightened.
She represents the stage that comes just prior to enlightenment. Her wisdom assures us that we are spiritual beings, having a human experience and that we’re all capable of reaching this divine wisdom state of being.
3. Tripura Sundari (Sodashi)
Through meditation and contemplation, we can come to understand the message of Tripura Sundari (also known as Sodashi), which is that anything and everything that exists within the Universe is Divine.
This goddess also symbolizes all that is beautiful. She is depicted as the energy that’s all good and beautiful.
4. Bhuvaneswari
This wisdom goddess’ name translates to "ruler of the Universe." When we invoke her into our meditation, she gives us the spiritual sight to recognize the Divine within everyone we meet.
When we bow to each other at the end of a yoga class, saying, “namaste,” we’re naturally invoking this wisdom goddess.
5. Bhairavi
In invoking Bhairavi, we invoke the inner knowing of our innate kundalini power. This wisdom goddess manifests herself in a cautionary way, warning us that while we all have the potential for the divine state of consciousness, we may not realize it when it’s near because we’ve not prepared ourselves spiritually.
She reminds us that the spiritual path begs much preparation and discipline. Enlightenment doesn’t happen overnight.
6. Chinnamasta
In bringing Chinnamasta into our meditation, we invoke a goddess who has cut off her own head. This represents our unconditional and totally free spirit.
Chinnamasta’s primary message is that the power it takes to reach a divine state of consciousness resides within us all. It is in us just as our hearts are in us. And all we need to do is conjure this strength, which drives us away from our desires and towards the divine state of self-realization.
7. Dhumavati
Bringing Dhumavati into our meditation means we understand that there is darkness and negativity in the world. She’s a dark, smoky goddess reminding us of the suffering of life.
We’re reminded that it takes a lot of self-reflection, self-knowledge, and inner wisdom to understand the nature of the Universe, with its many disappointments, grievances, losses, challenges, and of course, impermanence.
8. Bagalamukhi
When the divine mother enters our awareness wearing the face of Bagalamukhi, we bring into the meditation our ability to refuse the pull of the ego, which pulls us towards our tendencies to run to pleasure and away from pain, both of which are fleeting, of course.
9. Matangi
Matangi’s message is one of holiness. She serves as a reminder of our innately divine consciousness that doesn’t judge but tolerates everything and everyone.
Matangi reminds us that love, compassion, and unity consciousness is our natural state. Not pride nor prejudice.
10. Kamala
In the form of Kamala, the divine goddess enters our meditative awareness to have us contemplate the fact that we should be selfless beings, and that we are naturally abundant and good. We all can meditate on our selfless nature and spiritual tendency towards divine love. That is our true nature.

just wondering what a horse expert thinks of punting/betting. i’ve never really thought about it up until now and i’m torn about whether or not to go with my family soon
So, I think my friend @beth-bunkus would be better equipped to answer this than I am, since she is really into the world of Thoroughbred racing. But I can give my two cents about it, since I do watch the occasional race, and I'm still a fan of Sodashi. But this is just going to be a casual race fan's American outlook on the subject. I'm not qualified, lol.
(FWIW, I'm supposing that this isn't just about Standardbred/Thoroughbred/QH races. This can be the act of betting/punting in any equine sport. It's just that racing is probably the biggest and most famous industry when one thinks about gambling in the horse world.)
I think that because horse racing is a sport that involves equines, the only people who would become interested in it would be the equestrians, or people who think that it is a fun and endearing sport. I think that, obviously, the earlier back in time we go, the more popular the sport was. Perhaps it was because the layman could better appreciate the horse when the world was more familiar with them in everyday practices. However, now in recent years, we have whole generations of people who have never touched a pony, even. My parents never were on the backs of a horse, and what I do at the ranch scares them. But their parents either only casually rode, or never rode at all, and nowadays if you are not born into an equestrian way of life- English, Western, or otherwise- chances are the next generations will still be ostracized from horses, and grow up not even seeing them. Which is to say, they wouldn't care at all about them. That includes caring about watching an animal run around a track.
I think that the big pull to things like horse racing, the reason Churchill Downs, Saratoga, even small tracks like Horseshoe Indianapolis here in my state of Indiana, is because it is tied to gambling itself. Horseshoe is actually part of a casino. There's plenty of tracks that are the same way, too- tied to other forms of gambling. Even the movie, All Dogs Go To Heaven, had a whole section of the main characters getting rich from gambling at a race track.
I think in one way, you could separate the race from the gambling. I know I watch races for the horses- Sodashi, Swiss Skydiver, Panthalassa. But then, you get into some ethical thoughts. It's really not a secret that gambling is the whole life source of the racing industry. It is why the derby is held every year. It's why the horses are bred. It's why the trainers make so much money. And it's why, in 2023, 12 horses died at Churchill Downs.
I don't think it's a secret that the industry got crooked. A lot of things, businesses, or events in the equine world invite abuse. Here, trainers like Bob Baffert, who is still considered to be the most successful and influential trainers in the racing world, drug their horses. He was even put in prison for 4 years because of the abuse he put onto his horses, letting his jockeys ride drugged horses, which was a threat of their lives and the lives of every other horse and jockey on the track. (Side note: I'm very glad for the judge in that trial. You can find articles about the whole thing, I suggest reading them if you're interested.)
It's not just drugging that is done by improper trainers, though. It's physical abuse to get the horse to run. It's even the neglect to the horses that don't 'perform like they should'. And after the horse is done with its career, or breeding stock cannot breed anymore, they're retired.
It's very common to see OTTB, or off track Thoroughbreds, (and off track Standardbreds!) in disciplines outside of racing. They're sport horses, and do well in events like hunter/jumper, dressage, ECT. In my time at the ranch, we have had two OTTB's come. One was Keros, the other is LibbyLou.
Keros was actually a good racer, and won some good money in his time. He left our barn a few years ago, and after, a boarder rescued Lou and brought her.
Lou'a story is what makes me so upset about horses that come from the racing industry. She was bred to be a racer, and she was trained, too- she has a lip tattoo and I was able to find some things about her after looking her up online (she came with no papers.) Her registered name was Hunt for a Dove, and she never ran due to a bad leg injury. But she had a filly and colt who raced, and had a third that didn't. She was used as breeding stock.
When she came to us, though, she wasn't a prized sport horse. She was a thin, mangy, dying girl who had trouble staying up on her legs for too long. She had horrible rain rot, her previous owners said she nearly died on them multiple times, and her slit was half sewn up improperly. Now that she was getting better, she needed someone to help her even more.
It's hard to know where Lou was before she came to Indiana, but the writing on the wall says it wasn't good.
Rescues and programs that surround the world of adopting out horses with a racing career are doing good work, but it can be rescue work at the same time. In my position, even seeing rebound associations that are supposed to help animals, who lie through their teeth to get you to take home a horse that you may not even be able to keep (*cough cough. Maybe a story for another time.)- it all shows that even people apart of the industry get crooked.
Anyways. I've talked a whole lot. In any case- I wish we didn't have to bet and gamble in the world of horses. I wish we, as a whole of people, understood horses and the world of equestrians to a point where we valued good horsemanship, good breeding practices, and taking care of horses who love to work and run, and show them off in the races. I wish there was a worldwide love of horses doing what they love to do the most- compete on a track. However unlikely that is, I know it's something that would help not only the athlete horses, but even other disciplines. In a more realistic view, I believe that we should get stricter with regulations. Urine testing, check-ins, ECT. But I know that's a bit too progressive for the people in the industry.
#horse.txt#🍀.txt#equestrian#equine#horseblr#💌.txt#thank you for asking this btw i hope i said things that made sense.

loooove that u have found such a unique niche as sherlock and horses. get sherlock on a horse petition
Ikr a johnlocker and a horse girl? Pick a struggle! Surprisingly not as niche as you'd think there's definitely fics with him on one and even adaptations where he canonically does ride one. And then there's silver blaze which I found in a big book of horse stories that started it all.
Here's granada holmes on a lovely blue roan from this post
There's also a western au where beebslock has a blue roan named Azure <3 and he loves her, also one by poppyalexander where he must ride but hates it and calls the horse stupid lol
I love love takes on him where he has an affinity for them or experience with them he's def an animal lover. But him floundering with them and being out of depth is also fun
And if we're talking him as a horse I see all your friesans and plain blacks like Korazairs lovely work but I see that and I raise you he is a thoroughbred with an uncommon pattern (what do they call them, colorful?) Much like sodashi or buchiko
And John's a dunalino mule

I'm the anon from Claire's course, I'll answer your questions !
For mantra purusha, the deity mantra you use is a bija mantra such as HLIM or AIM (respectively associated with Baglamukhi and Matangi). In the course, Claire encourages us to select a deity mantra that we feel a special connection with, the thing is to let your intuition guide you. I was attracted to the KLIM bija, which is linked to Sodashi, so every day, I work with this mantra and pray the deity. Also, every beej mantra when chanted along a mantra purusha practice brings different results, so I guess if you have a specific goal such as increasing learning skills for example it is best to choose the AIM bija. You can also ask for a bija recommendation based on your chart, which I did, and tbh it was very enlightening
If you want to know more, I really recommend reading the David Frawley book, there's everything you need to know about mantra purusha and beej mantra it's truly a gem
Claire's course is all about building up sexual energy, so every practice she recommends helps with that. The most important practice she kept insisting on, along with mantra purusha, is meditating while sitting still, which may appear simple, but really that's all it takes to build sexual energy. Her course is very dense as for each lesson you need to digest a lot, spiritually it's very satisfying 😌
She covers a wide range of subjects such as protecting yourself from the evil eye, working with your ancestors' spirits, working with your personal daemon, etc.
I hope I've answered your questions <33
Btw we NEED to create a space for the glamour magic girlies can't wait for everyone to share their tips 💫
HIIII so sorry it's taken me so long to respond 😭😭😭 we have a community on discord and I'd love it if all the glamour magic girlies got on it 🫶🏼✨🥺 (the server is the same as my username)
need to read this book ASAP and transform into my best self 🥺😩
TYSM FOR ANSWERING ILY 🫶🏼

Brief Meditation on Ten Faced Guhyakali : Vidyanath Upadhyaya Bhatta
Goddess's influence causes a great flood of blood to rise, there is a tremendous cacophony, nine crores (1 crore = 10 million) Chamunda and one crore Bhairavas guard the place that is an island filled with mounds of blood and flesh where every grain of sand has turned blood red. At the center of this island lies a Mandala (circle) spreading over one Yojana (14.6 km) where a colossal form is made by one crore Bhairavis assembled there. In the mid of the circle lies a massive cremation ground surrounded by fiery flames of great fires burning in all four directions. Millions of Yoginis are clapping their hands making tad tad sounds, the Torana (ceremonial flags) there are made from severed heads. Among all these is seen a divine Simhasan or Lion Throne made of diamonds, pearls and jewels. Four corners of this Lion Throne are protected by Satya, Treta, Dvapar and Kali - four ages; Rik, Sam, Yajur and Atharva - four Vedas. The Lion Throne is carried upon head by seven Upavedas or sub-Vedas including Siksha (phonetics), Kalpa (ritual instruction), Nirukta (etymology), Chanda (prosody), Vyakarana (Sanskrit grammar) and Jyotisha (astrology). Above this base Lion Throne, there is another Lion Throne carried on forehead by fully armored Asta Dikpal, guardians of eights directions. Above that, a third Lion Throne is carried on head by Pancha Mahapreta or five great spirits - Brahma, Vishnu, Rudra, Ishwora and Sadashiva. Above that lies Bhairavpeeth, the terrifying seat of Bhairava. Above that lies 16 petaled lotus symbolizing 16 Yagnas (Vedic fire rituals) which are Jytistom, Agnishtom, Vajpaye, Sodashi, Chayan, Pundarik, Rajsuya, Ashwomedha, Barhaspatya, Vishwojeet, Naramedha, Sotramani, Ardhasavitri, Suryakanta and Anchalvid. On that 16 petal Lotus is situated the Shivaasan, most excellent Seat of Shiva. Above Shivaasan is seated Goddess Guhyakali on eight petaled lotus symbolizing Dharma (righteousness), Gyana (knowledge), Vairagya (dispassion), Aishworya (dominion), Yasha (glory), Viveka (discernment), Kama (desire) and Moksha (liberation).
The Goddess's face is dark, color of the blue lotus, her aura is infused with the luster of Indranilmani (blue gems of Lord Indra). She is surrounded by Jyotirmandal (circle of light) comprised of Gyanarashmi, rays of wisdom. She has 10 faces and 27 eyes.
The first face is made of Agni (fire) known as Chandeshwori, below that is the face of a ferocious white lion, below that is the face of a wild boar, on its left is the face of a monkey, on its right is the face of a bear, below that is a terrifying face of a human, on its left is the face of a Garuda, on its right is the face of Makara (crocodile), on its left is the face of an elephant and on the right is the face of a horse. She has got scary fangs, loud terrifying laugh, blood is dripping from her lips which she is licking with her lolling tongue time to time, her deafening shriek is shaking all four directions. Wearing half moon on her head and adorned with gold ornaments, wearing garlands made of severed fingers of dead bodies, her naked breasts hard, her hips huge and waist small, the Goddess seated thus in her glory.
Her hands hold Ratnamala (rosary made of gems) and Kapala (skull), and carry various armors and weapons such as Charmapasha (leather goad) Khadwangamukhanda (sword/staff), Bhusundi (fire arm/missile), Dhanu (bows), Chakra (disc), Ghanta (bells), Balpreta (corpse of a child), Shaila (a rock), etc.
She dances over her Lotus Seat at times, at others she sits down in comfort. She is surrounded by all the gods and three crore Shakti, nine crore Chamundas, 60 crore Dakinis and 80 crore Bhairavis who are shrieking in unison, making great Hunkar sounds. Framed by multitudes of vigorous flames rising from millions of powerful suns; her aura is charged with billions units of electricity. Thus appears Goddess Guhyakali who slays demons and whose glimpse is elusive even to Indra and the gods. According to Haharava Tantra:
Brahmadi panchaka yuga shruti dikpatinam Mundeshu bhairava Shiva pralayanaleshu. Tasyodbarge dashashatchhade bidrumave Padmashanam Bhagavati parmam dashyam. Singhe bhakolakapi riskshaturangatakshyarya- Yogeshworim akarmanav pankivaktram.Shulankushau parashu mudgarpashpatra - Khadwanga balak shiro ankit pani padmam.
This description of Guhyakali is similar in most parts with what was discussed earlier, however there is a difference. According to Haharava Tantra, one of the 10 heads of the Goddess is that of a wild boar instead of a jackal and Bhagavati seats above Bhairava on the seat of jackal instead of a lotus.
Adi Shankaracharya also meditated upon the10 Faced Guhyakali and his vision is similar to that of Mahakal Samhita. She too was worshiped by Bharat, Lord Rama's brother, hence she is known as Bharatpasita and Ramopasita Guhyakali. She is verily the Primal One.
Likewise, there are diverse forms of her such as Sat Bakra, hundred faced; Sahashra Bakra, thousand faced; Ayut Bakra, ten thousand faced. These are not discussed here in details lest the article gets too long61.
All forms of Bhagavati Guhyakali discussed here and rest of her forms with attributes have been imagined/visualized through her grace for her devotees to prepare for more intimate Antaranga Anushthana or internal practice.
It is already discussed that Parameshwori, the Supreme Goddess is in essence Absolute itself devoid of all qualities - Nirguna Brahmasworupini. In her attributed forms also, details such as faces/heads, Bhusana (ornaments), Ayudha (weapons), Vahana (vehicles) etc. have been visualized in such a way that too lead to her Nirguna form without attributes. Therefore all imagined attributes of Bhagwati such as face, body, ornaments etc can be considered only symbolic.
