Kid regressor 100%; regresses from 4-11. Will sometimes regress younger if she's tired or going through her time of the month
Loves punk, rock, emo, goth, and metal music (Has to be the clean version. No ifs, ands, or buts.). When Crymini's headspace is younger than her usual regressed age range, she loves to listen to Rockabye! Baby and Twinkle Twinkle Little Rockstar because of the lullaby renditions of her favorite songs
Has a knack for making kandi bracelets
She also decorates her paci collection
She also loves teethers and chewelry
Crymini's CG is Husk, and Angel is her big brother. Charlie or Cherri will babysit if Husk is busy
Angel helps with the babysitting when he's not regressed
Has skull and punk-themed little gear (idea inspired by @jester-b0mb)
Crymini has three favorite stuffies: two stuffed bunnies and a stuffed kitten (From left to right: Ace, Spade, and Ramona)
Has trouble with swearing and had to be put in timeout or put money in the swear jar for it
Crymini struggles with her emotions and communicating her needs. She will throw tantrums
Luckily, her CG and babysitters are understanding and patient and will help her calm down. She doesn't have timeouts for tantrums. Instead, she has time-ins
Crymini is extremely pouty at times and will pout when she doesn't get her way
When Crymini's headspace is very tiny, she will play with Husk's ears and wings. He doesn't really mind as long as she's gentle
Crymini has been put in timeout for drawing on the walls multiple times
She is a biter and will bite anyone and anything (nothing dangerous or anything that will make her sick, don't worry. Just furniture, pillows, and blankets). She has been firmly, yet gently scolded for it and given a teether, chewelry, or paci (depending on how old she feels at the moment) every time
Hates naptime and bedtime. She acts like Bluey during the episode "Fruitbat" and will be adamant about staying up late. Her CG and babysitters are patient with her and will make her naptime and bedtime routines fun with games. Works like a charm every time 👍
Her favorite foods are grilled cheese and fruit
Husk and Charlie are adamant in making sure Crymini drinks water and eats healthy (she's also given milk and juice). Angel and Cherri are the same, but they are less strict and will sneak Crymini junk food and soda when Husk and Charlie aren't around. However, it leaves the little going through a sugar rush
Adores The Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride, Coraline, ParaNorman, Monster House, Dan Vs., The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi, Sushi Pack, Regular Show, Adventure Time, Yellow Submarine, The Muppets Mayhem, Fraggle Rock, Nimona, Dead End: Paranormal Park, and Invader Zim! She'll watch Invader Zim with Angel a lot since they both love the show (see my Regressor! Angel headcanons)
She gets self-conscious because of her temper and wonders if her CG, big brother, and babysitters love her. She is reassured that she is loved no matter what every time ❤️

Even though she is proficient in cleaning and little else, Soda ends up being the sole representative of Maid For You in the competition to keep the cafe from going under.
She even suits up in a bunny outfit in the hopes that it will bring her good fortune!
I like how Soda Twinkling Bunny's whole bond story is just the struggle of trying to be around Soda for one fucking day without screwing her brains out

You didn’t sleep a wink that night. What has gotten into Yoongi and he decided to take you to that date? It was clear as day that you didn’t win against him. Your score are tied up, all because you forgot who Plato is. You plop your head on a pillow and let out a muffled scream. Who forgets Plato on a Humanities class?
Your eyes trail to the bedside table, watching the big hand of the clock tick the minutes away. Not long after, you realise that it is already morning, and you recall how cold Yoongi’s voice was when he reminded you not to be late. You quickly jumped off the bed and prepared for the day. You presumed that Yoongi didn’t have classes today. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have asked you to push through with the “date”. On the other hand, you are going to miss a whole day of class.
The wind was cold on your skin as you step out your apartment building. You hugged your coat to your chest, adjusting your backpack, remembering Namjoon’s stare each time you use it. It was no surprise to them that you are not fashionable, despite that, they didn’t push their opinion on your fashion choices any further. Walking to the gate, you noticed that it was almost 9:00am. Five minutes to spare.
There he was though, in his mighty glory. Your eyes widened at the thought of him waiting for you. It was bad enough that you forced him on this date, furthermore let him wait for you. You half-jogged to where he was. Panting, you started to speak.
“Sorry for being late. Have you been waiting long?” Yoongi stayed silent, only eyeing you up and down. He nodded his head and started to stalk out of the campus. You followed him quietly trying to practice in your head how you’d initiate a conversation with him. With your thoughts drifting, you noticed he skidded to a stop once you got to the waiting shed. You both are going to wait for a bus, you concluded.
Once the bus arrived, he still refused to talk to you. This was going horrible so far. You were not having the time of your life and he mirrors that too. You took a seat beside him and tried to shake the thought away. Maybe he would open up soon, you decided to be a little more patient. You decided to try one more time and take out your phone. Carefully, you plugged in your earbuds, looking over Yoongi who kept his gaze straight ahead. You meekly tap his shoulder and offered to share it. He glanced briefly and shook his head. You slump in your seat. This was a really bad idea.
“We shouldn’t have done this. I’m sorry for forcing you to go.” You stood up, getting ready to alight on the next bus stop. A wrist shoots up and gently grabs your arm.
“Where are you going?” He questioned. His first words to you today. Wow.
Sighing, you sat again and faced him. You did want to go on a date with him, but not forcibly. “Let’s just go back to the campus. I’m sure Hoseok and Namjoon might be—“
“They won’t.”
“How are you sure?” You ask, genuinely curious.
“We have classes today. I just skipped.” He explained nonchalantly. Your mouth formed into an O, trying to suppress the crimson red that’s trying to creep onto your cheeks. You can’t help but think that he might’ve wanted this too as much as you did. It sent a foreign feeling to your heart. Subconsciously, you held a hand to it. Noticing this, Yoongi lifted an eyebrow.
“Is something the matter with you?”
“No, I’m alright. I’m sorry for making you miss class.” You bowed your head.
“Stop,” Yoongi spoke. “I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t want to.”
As soon as you saw the castle that signals the entrance of the theme park, you ran as fast as you can, momentarily forgetting that you had company. You stared at everything with glee, almost jumping at every sight. Yoongi watched you as he walked towards the same direction.
“Let’s go.” You hear him mutter behind you as he finally catches up, breaking into your trance. Both of you lined up to get tickets, Yoongi watches as you clumsily swing your backpack in front in attempt to retrieve your wallet. While rummaging through your things, Yoongi contemplated on what he was about to offer. He did agree to go to whatever this was, but mostly because he wanted to prove Hoseok and Namjoon wrong. That he is indeed capable of moving on and if this stupid date was a proof for that then be it. However, he also didn’t want to make you hope. Yoongi also has a heart.
“I’ll pay.” Yoongi was surprised by his own voice. You looked up, your already doe eyes getting magnified more by your glasses, he let out a small “tsk” as he repeated what he said. Were you deaf? The problem wasn’t that you had bad hearing, but it was because you heard him crystal clear.
“No, it’s okay.” You softly smiled, making Yoongi look away. He didn’t want to look at you anymore, it was intriguing but he decided that he wanted this day to be over with. You are making it difficult for him, he thought, but sadly, he has no idea why. He reached out to push your wallet back in your bag. Then after, turning to the cashier to buy two tickets. He handed you one and went in first.
The theme park was everything that you expected. The enormous rides, different carts of food to munch on, candies, balloons, and colorful gift shops. You felt overwhelmed by everything. You want to try them all, your eyes practically twinkling with delight. Yoongi can tell you’re holding yourself back so he decided to speak first.
“Where do you want to go first?” He asked. You pointed to the gift shop to which he nodded. You both made your way inside and your attention was immediately captured by the variety of headbands mounted to the wall. You grab one, pink bunny ears, to be exact. You quickly try it on, looking over to Yoongi who had a blank expression on his face. You shrugged it off; he doesn’t really seem the type to like these kinds of things.
On the other side, Yoongi wants to kick himself for his heart was beating so loudly, if it can burst in his chest, he was pretty sure it will. He tried to keep a blank expression on his face as he watch you pay for the headband that you decided to leave on through the day.
The next stop was rides, you were skeptical of asking Yoongi to come with you but it dawned on you that you wanted this so the best you may do is make the most out of it. That’s when you grab Yoongi’s jacket sleeve, dragging him to various rides. He let you drag him, not one complaint from him.
After about five rides, you both were exhausted. It was around noon and you were both hungry too. Since Yoongi paid for the tickets, it’s only fair for you to buy the food. So as you both take a seat at an empty table at the park’s food court, you excused yourself to use the restroom when you actually went to but hotdogs and soda instead.
Yoongi noticed that you took a while; he tried to ignore the worry building inside him especially when you revealed that you were new in Seoul and was from Daegu all your life. Did you get lost? He checked his watch and when he concluded that you were taking too long, he prepared to stand up and gather his things when he saw you trying to juggle a tray of food in your hands.
You walked towards him and placed the food on the table. You placed the hotdog and a can of soda in front of him and beamed.
“Eat well, Yoongi. Thank you for taking me here.”
Yoongi said nothing but started to eat. You did as well but you wanted to know more about him so you tried to initiate a small talk.
“How old are you?” you asked, taking a sip from your soda. He stayed silent so you took that as a cue to speak again.
“I’m 23. Taking up Bachelor of Science Major in Business Administration. Born and raised in the farmlands of Daegu.” You chatter away when you noticed him playing with the pendant of the necklace he was wearing. Your eyes watch his slender fingers twirl it around, clearly uncomfortable with the ongoing conversation.
“Is that hers?” You boldly asked. His hands halted to a stop, dropping on the table. You notice him tense up and look away.
“It’s none of your business, Y/N. Please don’ bring it up again.” He stated icily. You frankly felt bad for imposing on him like that. He wasn’t obligated to tell you anything. You felt absolutely horrible and wanted to disappear from the face of the earth.
Instead, you cleared your throat and started to apologise.
“I’m sorry for asking such a personal question, Yoongi. It’s just, I want to get to know you more and I overstepped a line. Again, I am sincerely sorry.”
He stood up and you did too. He cleared up the wrappers and empty cans of soda and headed to the trash bin. You were staring at his back while he did so, before you ran your big mouth, you already convinced him to ride inside the waterpark. He initially refused since he didn’t bring spare clothes but so did you.
“Let’s go, Yoongi.” You nod your head to the exit. He looked at you, a confused look on his face.
“I thought you want to enter the waterpark?” He asked.
Strapping the both of you in, the park attendant reminded you the basics. It is basically a log that will bring you to a certain height and zoom you down to a puddle of water. You can feel your adrenaline rushing through your veins as you’re nearing the drop. As you sped down the slope, you screamed with glee and grabbed onto Yoongi’s hands that was already in the railings. A flash blinded you for a second and before you knew it, you are drenched in water.
You stepped off the ride, looking like a wet duckling. Yoongi looked ten times worse, you cringed. You had forced him on this ride despite him warning you about your lack of extra clothes. You shiver slightly as you try to rub your arms in attempt to get warmth. You are failing big time and Yoongi can hear your teeth chattering. Your nose and cheeks now flushed from the cold, you both decided to enter another gift shop. Inside, you noticed that there was a booth that took pictures of the passengers of the ride. The attendant called out to you and Yoongi and offered to show you a picture.
Yoongi, as polite as he can, declined and you pouted. You playfully glared at him and asked the attendant if you could see the picture. You wait patiently as the picture was being printed out, handing out the payment. You quickly put it inside your bag for safe keeping.
You the proceed to Yoongi who was looking at sweaters that had big bold letters saying “MY OTHER SHIRT GOT WET SO I GOT THIS” and you noticed him holding two in his hand. The notion that you two might have couples clothing made you smile. You both paid for the shirt and head to the nearest restroom to change.
The sweater, though the smallest size, ate you up. You were really small, Yoongi noticed. You eyed him up and down.
“You look dashing, Yoongi.”
“Thanks, it’s the shirt.” He smirked.
You were about to say something back when his phone rang. One look at the screen and panic stretched across his face. He held out a finger to you, signaling you to wait for a while as he answered the call. You nodded, also worried for whoever was calling him.
He slowly started walking away but he picked up while he was still in earshot.
“Jagi?” he breathed.
---------------------------------------------------------
Fairytales are too good to be true anyways. You tell yourself as you kicked a pebble on your way to the bus stop. Yoongi after picking up the call was frantic, not knowing the right words to say. If you remember it correctly, all he was trying to let you know is that he had to go.
You, of course, let him.
Stepping into your apartment, you beeline to the bathroom to wash up and head to bed. You were exhausted to the bone. You were getting ready to shower when you saw your reflection at the mirror.
You gave out a bitter smile at the sweater you’re wearing, stripping it off, hoping you could also strip off the heaviness you feel inside your heart.
The marauders were in and out of your apartment all the time. Remus would drop by whenever he needed some peace and quiet; James needed your opinion on something every other time and Sirius would come in to just talk to you or see your latest poem or artwork. And you loved it. The four of you quickly became very close. It felt like you all were roommates. Sirius was in your apartment, looking at your old albums. You blushed when Sirius looked at your baby pictures and cooed at them. He called you ‘baby’ and it seemed to do things to you. You presented your travel pictures and talked about bunny, completely missing the look of jealousy crossing his face. He pointed out to Steve, your ex.
“Who’s this?” Sirius asked.
“Steve. We dated for a while. Then he realized he was in love with the image I put forward in public. Quite a nasty breakup” You shrugged.
“What?” he asked making you sigh.
“It’s just; I have an image I have to put forward in public: perfect, pristine. But, I am not like that in real life. I can get sad, angry and disgusted too. And apparently, it was a lot for him to handle.
Sirius held your hand and gave you a small smile.
“He has no idea what he missed.”
You took a deep breath.
“I don’t know, the longest relationship I was in lasted for only a year and that too almost. Sometimes I wonder what is wrong with me. Like am I un-dateable or something? I always seem to do something wrong”
Sirius furrowed his eyebrows.
“How could you think that? You’ve been living near us for what? 3 months? You’ve been one of the most amazing people I’ve met.” Sirius gulped. “I would be over the moon to get the chance to date you. Even though I’ve never quite done that before. If there would be someone terrible in our relationship, it would most certainly be me.” Sirius laughed nervously.
“You would date me?”
“Yeah. You seem the best person for it.”
“Oh?”
“W-“ there was a knock on the door that shook you both. As you went to answer it, Sirius cursed under his breath.
“(Y/n) how the hell do you make your spicy chicken corn soup?” James asked with widened eyes and such a frustrated expression that you let out a laugh.
“I’ll show you.”
“Really? Thank you.”
***
You spent hours repeating what Sirius said. Was he being serious about you? Was it not just harmless flirting with you? You groaned. You needed a drink. As you took out some water you heard a loud bang and every light in your apartment turned off with a thump. Bloody fucking great! A power outrage. You finished drinking the glass of water and moved towards the marauders’ apartment. You thanked god that it was just evening and not completely dark.
“Guys?” you called out, knocking on their door.
Remus opened up. He looked pained. He ushered you in and you squeezed your eyes to make things out in semi-darkness. Sirius and James jumped on you shouting and you screamed, leaping backward. You tried to breathe glaring at them both as they rolled out in laughter.
“How could you do that?!?” you demanded as they both laughed and slowly, you joined them too. You all settled on the couches.
“So, what are we gonna do?” Sirius asked after sometime.
“I don’t know? Listen to the bloody radio.” James groaned and you threw a pillow on his head.
“Heyyy!”
You all talked lazily on the couch, becoming increasingly aware of the heat. Sirius wiped away the sweat on his head with the back of his hand as you fanned yourself with a magazine.
“Okay, I’m bringing some iced soda from the fridge, who all want some?” Remus asked, getting up.
“Me!” you three shouted at the same time, and laughed.
Remus handed you all some cans. You greedily opened it up taking a big gulp, enjoying in the cooling sensation.
“It’s not iced.” Sirius pointed out.
“Well suck it up lil baby, cause that’s all you are getting.” you said tying your hair up.
You heard Sirius gasping.
“You’re a mean young lady!” Sirius whined and you cooed at him, giggling. James and Remus gave each other knowing looks.
You placed the cool can on your cheek, relishing in the sensation. It had been 2 hours since the city lost all electricity and you felt like you were losing your patience. You heard Sirius sit up straight beside you.
“Listen, I think it would be cooler outside. Let’s go up to the roof.”
“Sirius, I just got comfortable on this couch with these pillows, I’m not going anywhere.” James sighed.
“I’m afraid of heights, Sirius. You know that, it’s a no from me.” Remus piped up.
“I’ll come, I don’t think it would be worse than it is here.” You said, getting up and adjusted your shirt.
Sirius and you pulled out your phones switching on the flashlights. You went towards the emergency staircase, needing to climb 3 stories.
“Ever went up there?” Sirius whispered.
“No.”
“Well then, you are in for a treat, the view is breathtaking.” He said as you followed him. You reached an old iron door which creaked on opening.
“Sounds ominous. Sirius, you are not going to throw me off the building are you?” you jabbed and Sirius snorted.
“That’s exactly what I am planning to do, my dear. Then I’ll take over your wealth.” He imitated an evil laugh and you rolled out barking, holding your stomach as Sirius blushed.
“Do that again.” You said red from laughter.
“No.”
“Please, come on!”
“Look we are here, so do you want to see or not?” Sirius said pointing towards the boundary.
You slowly moved towards it and gasped. It was beautiful.
“It is breathtaking.” You said looking at Sirius beside you. You suddenly felt calm. Sirius was right. It was cooler up here. The wind blew and you sighed, looking out at the cars honking on the roads. You did not know how long you both stood in silence as a kind of serenity eloped you. You gazed at the sky which was now midnight blue and the stars twinkled all around.
“You know, when I was younger; my family; Papa, Mumma and I used to go to the nearby hill station every Christmas. We had this small cottage there and as the night neared we would sit outside just looking at the stars and drinking this amazing hot cocoa my mother made.”
Sirius smiled at you and you saw how his eyes sparkled in the moonlight.
“I wish I was a child again. I would have like no worries; I would live thoughtlessly in my house as my parents protected me from the big bad world. Don’t you wish that?” you said looking towards him and he sucked in a breath.
“Well, I don’t come from the nicest of families. I spent my Christmas attending the family gala, trying not to do anything that might earn me a punishment.”
“Oh.” You whispered.
“My family was strict in the basest of all its meanings.” Sirius sighed. “I used to be beaten up for every small mistake I committed. When I finally ran away, I felt free at last. I stayed with James. His parents gladly welcomed me and supported me. I needed that.”
Sirius shrugged and your heart clenched.
“I’m so sorry, Sirius. You didn’t have to tell me.” You said softly.
“Nah. It’s okay. I moved on, James helped me. It’s not a big deal not that anyone cares.” Sirius said nonchalantly. You held his hand.
“I care. And it does matter. Talking about it helps with healing. You could talk to me whenever you know? I would be happy to listen.” You said looking at him and he took a deep breath.
“Thank you. I appreciate it.” Sirius said smiling at you. You smile back at him. His hair flew in the wind and his face seemed to glow. You wanted to pull him in and kiss him. Sirius seemed to be thinking the same looking at your lips. Sirius’s phone rang suddenly, shaking you both. He answered it, nodding and ending the call.
“The light’s back!” he said with fake cheer and you forced a small smile.
“Finally.”
You both went back to their apartment, seeing that Remus and James had already switched the air conditioner on. You sighed sitting down. Sirius ordered some pizza and drinks as James showed you the T.V. serial, he got all hyped about. You all laughed, drank and had fun and you finally took your leave.
Sitting down on your bed, you called bunny.
“Heyo there Fangs!”
“Heyyy bunny. I need to tell you something.”
“Shoot.”
“I think I am in love with Sirius.” You said clenching your eyes shut, crossing your fingers.
“You, what now?” bunny gasped.
“I like him. Really really like Sirius. I don’t know what to do? I really wanted to kiss him today and believe me it wasn’t the first time either and I just kinda keep imagining what it would be like to call him mine, to hold his hand and for him to kiss me every now and then and maybe moving in together and marrying him when the time is right.”
“You really have it bad, huh?” bunny asked and you sighed.
“Yeah. Yeah I do. And I have no idea how to tell him that.”
A/N: Big shit planned up ahead, I apologise in advance. Anyways, I would love to hear whether you like this series until yet.

Chapter 7: The Next Step
“Mona Lisa, I’ve loved you from the moment our eyes met- no, that’s no good,” Raph said to himself as he paced in his bedroom.
“Mona! From the moment you punched me in the face, I knew you were the one for me- oh God! That just sounds weird…”
He sighs, “Mona you are my love, my world, my life. I want to love you everyday till the end of time! No, too much..” He sighs again.
“I love you! Marry me!!” he shouts.
“...no too forward.” Raph takes a deep breath.
“Okay, Raphael. You can do this.”
He takes a deep breath.
“Mona Lisa, my whole life, I never thought I’d feel the way I feel when I’m with you. You make me feel safe and loved and I want to do the same for you everyday. My life is not complete without you in it. So...” He gets down on one knee, “Mona Lisa, will you marry me?”
Chompy, who has been rehearsing with Raph from the comfort of his bed, does a cute little roar not before breathing a little fire from his mouth onto Raph’s face.
“You’re not helping...” Raph says with a glare. He wipes off the fire ashes on his face and groans. It's not as painful as it used to be. Chompy has breathed fire in his face so many times that Raphael barely feels anything at all. He looks at the alien turtle with slight annoyance for him burning his face. Chompy then gives Raph a cute smile. Raph sighs and smiles back, “You’re lucky you're cute.”
He sits on his bed and lies down as Chompy hops onto his stomach. Raphael pets the alien turtle’s head softly as he looks up to his bedroom ceiling with disappointment.
“I’m a lost cause, aren't I?” Raph sighs aloud to himself as he pets Chompy. “I don’t even know what I’m doing! I can’t even think of what to do to court her, let alone think of a good way to propose. And I can’t just propose to her out of nowhere!”
He sighs, “What am I gonna do?” He mumbles to himself.
At that moment, Raphael’s T-Phone rings. He picks it up from his nightstand.
Hockey Head Is Calling
Raph answers, “What do you want, Jones?”
“Raph! Dude! You busy?” Casey shouts from the other end.
“Not really...”
“Good. Wanna hang out? I just got off work and I bought some sick new hockey gear and I wanna test them out! We could hit some random shit off my apartment’s rooftop and see what it’ll hit!”
Raph snickers. Maybe a night out with his friend is what he needs, “Okay, I’ll be there soon.”
“Awesome. See you then!”
Raph hangs up. Carefully, he lifts a dozing Chompy and places him to rest on his bed. Then, heads out the door to see his friend.
The night was young. The city roared with noises from the people on the street and cars in traffic. Atop the roof of an apartment building were Raphael and Casey Jones.
Casey’s greasy black hair was now at a medium length and pulled back into a half ponytail, his bandana still wrapped around his forehead. He wore a hockey jersey with a black jacket over it - along with dirty pants. A young adult who still dresses like a rebellious teen.
The two friends hung out on top of the roof of Casey’s apartment, Raph sat on the edge of the roof drinking a soda as he watched Casey smacking old cans and bottles with his hockey stick. Casey placed an old tin can down in front of him, took a few steps back, then charged at the can, shouting his famous catchphrase, “Goongala!”, hitting it off into the air. The can arced and looped, twinkling as it vanished.
“So, where is your roommate?” Raph asked as he took a sip from his soda. “He’s not gonna come up here and see me, right?”
“No way,” Casey says as he begins setting up another old bottle. “Woody went to visit his family upstate. He’s not gonna be back until next week, so I got the apartment all to myself.”
Casey takes a few steps back and charges again at the bottle, smacking it with his hockey stick. The bottle goes flying into the air and soon meets its end with a loud crash.
“Yes! That’s gotta be at least fifty points cause it hit that billboard and then landed perfectly into that dumpster,” Casey said with a cocky grin.
Raph rolls his eyes, “Don’t you have something better to do other than this stupid game?” Raph asked.
“Stupid?!” Casey gasped. “You love this game! Come on, it's not fun unless someone else plays.”
Casey grabs another hockey stick and tosses it to Raph. He catches it with one hand as he continues to drink his soda.
“I’ll pass,” he says as he places the hockey stick down.
Casey glares at Raph. “Okay, what the hell is wrong with you?”
“Huh?”
“I asked you if you wanted to hang out, you said sure, but now you’re acting like you don’t want to be here. What’s up?”
“Sorry, I just got alot on my mind. I thought maybe this would help clear my head.”
“Well, maybe if you tell me what's bothering you, I could help clear up that head of yours.”
Casey grabs a fresh soda and sits on the ledge next to Raph.
“Doctor Casey Jones is in,” he jokes as he cracks open his can.
Raphael hates to admit it, but Casey might actually be right for once. He should tell his friend what he has been planning.
“Well... it’s about Mona Lisa…”
“Ah, lady trouble,” Casey said as he took a swig of his drink. “What about her?”
Raph breathes out a long sigh, “I’m going to ask her to marry me.”
Casey looked at his friend. His eyes widened with a combination of surprise and shock.
“Wow…”
After a short moment of silence, Casey continues, “Why?”
Raph looks at Casey, unsure why he would ask such a stupid question.
“Because I love her and want to spend the rest of my life with her.”
Casey laughs, “No, seriously. Why?”
“I just said why!”
“No, Raph, dude, I know you. You’re not the type of guy who would tie himself down like that. There’s got to be a different reason.”
Casey thought for a moment. He then loudly gasped in realization as he snaps his fingers and quickly points at Raph with a devilish grin, “You got her pregnant!”
“W-what?! No! I didn’t-”
“You knocked her up and now you have to marry her, am I right?” Casey smirked. “Is it a shotgun wedding?” He laughed, jumping around and gyrating his hips.
“No! That's not the-”
“I mean, I’m not surprised,” Casey kept going, “You two go at it more than bunnies do.”
“We do not!!”
Casey laughs, “Yeah you do! Remember that time when you guys got caught doing it in the dojo?”
“SHE’S NOT PREGNANT, YOU IDIOT! I WANT TO MARRY HER BECAUSE I LOVE HER!!”
Casey acknowledged the anger and seriousness on his friend’s face. Unbelievably, this was no time for jokes.
His eyes widened, “Oh my God…you are serious,” Casey said, shocked, “W-when did you decide this?”
“Over a week ago...” Raph sighed. “Last week I asked Sal Commander for his blessing and I got it, but now... I don’t know what to do. My mind has been blank. I’m not a planner.”
“No shit, you're not. You’re never the kind of guy to plan,” Casey said to Raph. “I’ve always known you as someone to focus on what's happening now, but maybe you just need something to help you get inspired on what to do next.”
“Like what?”
Casey shrugs, “Uh, do you have a ring for her?”
Raphael’s eyes widened. He really hasn’t thought this through! He actually forgot that he needs an engagement ring. Raph sighs in disappointment, “No…”
“Then there you go. Maybe once you have a ring you’ll know what to do next,” Casey smiles.
“Casey, I’m a mutant. I don't have a job or a lot of money to spend. I’m just a mutant turtle from Earth who has nothing. I have nothing that I can offer Mona, let alone an engagement ring.” Raph rested his head in his palms feeling hopeless, “Mona deserves the world and I can’t even give her a stupid ring.”
Casey looks at his friend with sorrow. He can tell Raphael has been so worried about his plans, but he knows him better than that. Casey’s smile returns, “I don’t think Mona cares if you can give her the world or not. She loves you for you.” Raph lifts up his head and looks at Casey.
“Don't beat yourself up over this. That’s not the Raphael I know.”
Casey is right again. Mona never cared about any of this kind of stuff. She doesn’t care what Raph can and cannot give her because she always just loves being with him.
Casey takes another quick sip of his drink. “How about I help you get the ring?” he offered, staring out at the city lights.
Raph looks at his friend surprised, “Y-you’re serious?”
“I mean it. Once you get a ring then maybe you’ll be more motivated and know what you want to do next. I’ll chip in and help you pick out the perfect engagement ring for Mona Lisa.”
Raph smiles at his friend, thankful for his offer.
“Thanks Casey, but I don’t think that’s enough.”
“What do you mean?”
“I want to do something for her. I want to court her in my own special way. I want to do something that will show her that I love her before I ask her the question. Like... a big grand gesture, but I can’t think of anything...”
“How about you get her name tattooed on your arm? Not only will that show that you're dedicated to her, but it will also make you look badass,” Casey suggested. “I’ve got a buddy who’s taught me a thing or two about tattoo art. I’ll call him up and borrow his supplies and I’ll-“
Raph puts his hand up. “I’d stop you from coming at me with a Sharpie! I’m not trusting you with a needle on my skin, Jones!”
“Oh, come on!”
“I wanna do something big for her, but not that.” Raph sighs, “I’m worried I won’t be able to think of anything…”
Casey pat his friend on the back, “I’m sure you’ll eventually think of something. Sooner or later the perfect opportunity will come. Let’s just focus on getting the ring for now, okay?”
“Yeah, you’re right,” Raph slightly smiles. “I’m surprised you’re taking this so seriously, Jones.”
“What can I say? I’ve matured.”
The two friends stayed silent again. They watched the city and its chaos on the streets below.
“Hey Raph?” Casey asked.
“Yeah?”
“Are you sure you didn’t get her pregnant?”
Not mature enough. He smiles.
Without warning, Raph punches his friend in the arm, hard enough that Casey falls backward, laughing, onto the roof’s tarred surface.
