So it’s that time again. I’m doing a cleanup of my tag lists. To even say that I have more than one tag list is insane 😅 But I’m very grateful for that, I really am.

Tobias arrived home from a fractious visit to Philadelphia to visit his mum for Christmas. He pulled an all nighter to get home so when he arrived home and saw Estelle in his best friend’s shirt , well he could have been forgiven for thinking his eyes were deceiving him but they were not. It was Estelle and she was in one of Ethan’s shirts. One could not help but assume that Ethan had stopped being an obstinate ass and that they were together.

They go to the kitchen to make coffee and that is when Ethan woke up. Estelle commented that Ethan was the smart one to avoid problematic families.

After breakfast Ethan walked Estelle home and Tobias used the time to freshen up after his drive.

Tobias had to admit he was excited and relieved. Both Ethan and Estelle had been dancing around what he thought was an inevitability. He knew they both liked each other but Ethan especially loved getting in the way of that.

Ethan returned not long after. He gave him a hug, placed his hands on either side of his face and kissed his forehead with much happiness and excitement.

“Well done buddy and about bloody time!” Exclaimed Tobias.

Ethan blushed. “I did not realize that my personal life warranted such excitement from you.” Said Ethan.

“Buddy, you two have had such a long and protracted dance around what is clear as day and that this that you both like each other very very much. If I am being honest I was starting to wonder if anything would happen.” Said Tobias.

“I know we took our time, you know the reasons at my end. Last night was amazing though so I am glad that we are together” said Ethan, with a wistful smile.

“So shall I expect to see plenty of socks on your door handle then?” Asked Tobias, mischievously.

Ethan chuckled. They talked more about the night before and Tobias vented about his dad. Late in the afternoon Ethan received a message from Estelle inviting him to her house which Ethan accepted.

Eventually Tobias was alone. He was happy for his friend and happy for Estelle too. He drifted off to sleep after a long day.

The next day came and Tobias saw Ethan and Estelle out and about. Estelle saw Tobias and invited him to join them. They had a pleasant lunch. Tobias thought that he was interrupting but Estelle stated that even though her and Ethan are in a relationship, they are all still friends. Ethan proposed a toast to friendship and new relationships.

Everyone chorused the sentiment and looked forward to what the year would bring.

Authors note:

Short and sweet but it just makes six months time hurt more because in my world, even though right at the beginning he thought about pursuing Estelle but he could see that she wanted Ethan so he decided to not pursue her and they were great friends the three of them so when it goes pear shape it really hurt everyone, especially the boys.

Liam & Riley Brooks-Rys

Liam & Riley love camping and sleeping under the stars. They have their favorite spot in Duchy Valtoria, where they also enjoy rafting, hiking and flying drones.

Nearby, they can also retreat to a summer cottage on the lake. Since Riley is currently expecting twins, Liam insists on having the option of going indoors for Riley, Eleanor and himself.
