i can't stop thinking about the first tori/michael scene at the new year party. i think it's so perfectly ambiguous enough to assume it's either their first time really noticing each other or that maybe they've already met once or have some vague recognition of the other. i suppose the former makes it feel all that more special because oh my god it's so beautifully cinematic and michael's soft expression and tori's almost smile is so unlike them and everything about the scene is perfect. it would've been so cool to get more solitaire-accurate scenes but the show did such a great job at capturing the essence of Michael “Tori Spring, I have been looking for you forever” Holden.

the years don't matter, but it helps with placing it in line with solitaire. more importantly, the anniversary of universe city is march 25th, for everyone who cares (me).

i just finished reading solitaire yesterday (ty hurricane milton for taking my power for like 3 days) and i'm genuinely shocked on how much of it was not in season 3 of heartstopper?? like the only thing shown was the kitchen scene and that was only shown through the lense of the comics themselves, not solitaire. like the show didnt even mention that higgs was literally set on fire; i think that was big enough for at least a mention or something

my guess is that there is a good chance that alice is fighting for a solitaire movie of some sort, cause the events dont clash with the heartstopper timeline much. ik alice holds solitaire so closely to her, as it was her first work, and because tori was her first developed character, so I can't think of another reason it wasn't in the show

i feel like tori spring wouldn't like taylor swift all that much BUT i do genuinely think she'd like some of folklore (like mad woman) and maybe some of taylor's angrier songs ???

i also feel like michael would love taylor. his favourite album would be lover or speak now tv!!!

but his fav taylor song overall was invisible string or peace :)
