Pearl's new ep has me like 🥺

In addition to just being so impressed & delighted by Wordle, it's incredibly heartwarming to see the amount of inspiration that cycles through the Hermits

The aspect ratio change during her montage feels very inspired by Bdubs. Calling it a montage like a tongue-in-cheek callback to Mumbo's last ep, where he insisted that despite technically being a montage, he'll always call what he does timelapses. Tango coming and helping add extra musical feedback to the game, an aspect of minigame design that Etho really focused on a few seasons ago. She plans on adding custom Cub fireworks to celebrate wins.

To be clear this is entirely Pearl's achievement, this isn't meant to give other people credit for 8+ hours of work and design. It has just really reminded me that Joe Hills' description of the Hermits as an artists' collective is Extremely Accurate. I'm eternally delighted to see the echoes of artistic inspiration every Hermit takes & gives back to the server

she is based on the story/universe that my friend @haydardotjpg's OCs indra and yuwei exist in! pls go checkout haydar's art he is amazing!! his ocs can be found more easily on his ig but if you're lazy this is his oc indra (cempaka's one-sided love interest) and yuwei (indra's fated lover)

also, cempaka means "magnolia" in malay!! (she gets a flower name bc my name is lilly which is also flower c:)

i am so far goneeee my completely soft and pathetic super specific fantasy is imagining baek was the one to pick me up after my wisdom teeth surgery like imagine you're sitting in the chair still kinda zoinked out and he's standing beside you receiving the discharge instructions all while he can't stop smiling at you cuz of how puffy and adorable your face is even if there's bloody gauze in your mouth and you're still high af he just can't stop looking at your chipmunk cheeks like oh youre his baby frfr and he keeps stroking your hair/head like you're a baby because to him you are his babyyyy!!!!!! oh to be loved by baekhyun T-T anyway... happy new year!!!!

omg no bc i can see this so vividly 😭 like imagine ur all dazed n floppy in the chair, blinking up at him with glassy, half lidded eyes while he listens to the nurse with this soft lil smile on his face, nodding like he’s paying attention but actually he’s just enamored by how absolutely precious and out of it you look 🥹 and he keeps tucking ur hair behind ur ear and rubbing gentle little circles on ur temple with his thumb bc ur his baby fr and he needs u to know it.

then when they wheel u out to go home, he’s already opening the car door for you. he crouches down to be at eye level, tilting his head with the fondest lil smile all like “there’s my baby” before reaching out to cup ur face so so gently, thumbs brushing over ur puffy cheeks while he bites back a laugh bc u just look so precious to him 😭💕 he’s tucking ur hair behind ur ears, stroking ur temple with his knuckles, whispering all sorts of nonsense like “so cute, my lil chipmunk” and “does my baby feel okay?” and it takes everything in him not to smother u in kisses right then and there.

he doesn’t rush u at all, just helps u stand up slowly, keeping one hand steady on ur lower back and the other holding ur hand like ur the most fragile thing in the world. he guides u to the car all careful and sweet, murmuring praises the whole way like “you’re doing so well, baby” and “almost there, i got you.” and the second ur settled into the passenger seat, he’s fastening ur seatbelt for u and stealing the softest little forehead kiss before pulling back just enough to admire ur sleepy, dazed expression. “gonna take care of u so good,” he whispers, brushing his fingers through ur hair one more time before finally closing the door and getting in to drive u home 😭💕

and THEN u get home and he tucks u into bed so carefully, making sure ur comfy before pressing the softest lil kiss to ur forehead (and maybe the tip of ur nose bc he can't resist 🥺) before sitting by ur side like ur personal babysitter. he probably has a whole little schedule set up for ur meds and snacks bc he takes his role very seriously, and every time u so much as shift under the blankets he’s immediately checking in like “baby, do u need anything?? are u okay???” bc u are his entire world and he is so in love with u actually it’s ridiculous 😭😭

One thing about Rose Tyler that just really gets me, is that she has this unending well of kindness, that she willingly distributes to every single living thing she meets. Take the entire Dalek episode for example. and at least once an episode, she’ll hug some person she barely knows because they’re sad or scared. It’s one of the most consistent staples of her character, she just is so empathetic.

When they were younger, Sirius had always admired James. He was so chaotic, confident, funny and cool. And he was so different that what his family represented that Sirius immediately liked him. Trust me, it was platonic love at first sight.

Since then, Sirius tried to copy James in everything he could. Quidditch is cool for James? So Sirius would be a sports guy. Gryffindor is the best house for James? So Sirius would have the best Gryffindor pride.

Sirius was friends only with people that James considered cool. And hated those who James didn't stand. That included teachers and staff.

James liked to prank? Pranking became Sirius’s number one hobby.

When James got his first kiss, Sirius got his too right after. James got into his first relationship, Sirius thought having a girlfriend looked cool. So he got one as well (Though he wasn't much into her). When James lost his virginity, Sirius lost it as well.

Everything James did was cool on Sirius’s eyes. And Sirius immediately want it as well. Sirius craved love and affection so much and never got it at home, that he thought he had to change in order to like James. Because he quickly became his favorite person in the world.

As they grew, their different personalities marked who they really were. And Sirius stopped copying James so much. Because he was his own person. Plus, Sirius realized that he didn't have to be cool to impress James. He just had to be himself and James would still love him. So he started acting more like himself, getting to know himself and his preferences. He got more confident with his queerness. He started loving himself more. Still James thought Sirius was the coolest person alive. James always thought that and would always think that. No matter what Sirius did.
