Went to the Wisconsin state fair today. Was there for over 6 hours. Ate nothing fried or greasy or super duper salty or fattening. (Well… I had a frozen custard, but a small scoop, and it wasn’t at the fair it was after, so those calories didn’t count…) oh! And some maple cotton candy. It’s soooooo good… it tastes just like caramel corn! Num!! And everyone knows that cotton candy is basically air. I mean, I told my pal today that if i could I would jump in a vat of it and wear it as a jumpsuit if it wouldn’t just dissolve and highly embarrass me in public.

But, overall, I came out relatively unscathed. Except for this belly ache. Let’s gooooooooo (to bed without blowing it more….) 🍬 🍭 🙈🤷‍♀️🤣🥸💖

On a separate note, Check out my brows! The lady at the fair did them with eyeshadow for free! She said it’s a mineral mix that’s waterproof, but let’s call it what it is… i could’ve done this with some brown “wet n wild” eyeshadow from Walgreens for a buck fidy. But they are now “On fleek” as the kids from Gen-Y would’ve said 5-7 years back. See?! I’m getting closer to being socially “with it”! Oops… just said, “with it”… I reverted back to the 70s…. Crap…. 🤷‍♀️🙈🤣✌️

i’m gonna cry it’s raining right now and i just passed by a family where both parents were without an umbrella but their kid who couldn’t have been older than like 3-4 was proudly holding this GIANT umbrella whose diameter was as tall (if not taller) as the kid. both the parents were getting absolutely drenched but u could tell the kid was just so happy to have an “adult” task and carry the umbrella themselves and i think that sacrifice is what love is all about

Sun is always the calm one. While the Moon has more fps, always moves and wants to gnaw on walls, pace around and destroy timelines, the Sun is the one who prevents the chaos, usually by doing nothing. Or at least that's how I see them.

Not to sound like a person who actually cares about children, but it's so alarming that there's this tendency and trend of not telling kids about their medical conditions that are in their charts.

I'm finding out as an adult that they (though it's not documented who) diagnosed me with a life-long, chronic condition without telling me when I was a teenager. I found out recently when I got curious about my medical charts, and otherwise, I would not have known what's wrong with me. I've been left with more questions than answers, and I feel like a private investigator investigating my own damn health and life.

Is this medical malpractice? Yes. However, I think it also speaks to a broader point of how children are seen to not be entitled to their own lives in any capacity, to the point where they are (intentionally or not) made ignorant about things that are or will affect them.
