Listen, I've been rewatching TWD and I can only think of Lori Grimes.

I am a Lori Grimes defender for life and I don't care for your criticisms of her. The beginning of the show established that she was a woman going through marital issues. She already voiced how she felt guilty for the way she talked to Rick earlier that day and then found out her husband had been shot and fell into a coma! I don't know if y'all have ever known the grief of losing a parent and have had to watch how the grief affects your remaining parent, but I have. See, I was 5 when my dad was first arrested. Yes, she still loved us and she loves us now and we love her, even if it's really complicated and confusing at times. She just wanted to forget.

She had very valid reasons for not wanting to have a baby in the apocolypse and even if she had no reason other than not wanting to go through child birth, especially without medicine readily available, that's STILL VALID.

4. "Lori Grimes was a bitch."

This is the last one I'm going to address. Lori Grimes was not a bitch. She was a strong and powerful woman, who didn't take anyone's shit and set strict boundaries.

Friday, January 6th, 2006 8:11 pm i am just a hot mess. i woke up to the feeling of myself throwing up today. pretty much put a damper on the entire day. i ate about 50 stomach pills and then threw them all up- it was a pretty color in the toilet. my toungue is black on the top right now. i am pretty sure thats a bad thing. i watched way too much gastinaeu (however you spell it) girls today. i think it made me sicker. it took me awhile to realize that they were mother and daughter and not sisters- but the mom is kinda hot in pissy kind of way. my mom is out of town so there was noone here to take care of me- my brother was around but hes pretty much always bongzilla'd. so i waited for back-up caretakers to arrive- one of them was busy cutting hair and the other has like a "real" job besides being dad.

the best part about vomitting alone in the morning is the way the bathroom tiles feel kinda cool in a pleasant way so i took a nap there for a bit. i want to see hostel tonight but the problem is all the vomitting- see its not that i mind so much its just what if i run into someone in my sicky gear and puke on them?

zuko has one of the best character developments in tv history

(this "essay" has been on hold for like 3 months but i've finally finished it, so enjoy!)

i will literally fight people on this, he's one of my favorite tv characters ever. now, i've rewatched avater the last airbender probably over 10 times in full, so i would say i have a pretty good idea of his character development. i want to preface this by saying, like everything else i post here, this is just my opinion. please feel free to add your own opinions and comments! now, into the world of avatar:

i think it's important to start from the very beginning, when zuko was just a kid. we don't see much of his childhood from before azula was born, but i think it's safe to assume he was loved and praised by both of his parents before she came around. if you've seen the show, then you know a lot of zuko's character in the first season and part of the second season is desperately trying to win his father's acceptance and approval.

we see zuko slowly becoming more and more jealous of azula in the flashbacks to his childhood, watching her become his father's favorite. a great example of this is the flashback where azula showcases her firebending abilities to firelord azulon, and she quietly taunts zuko when she is praised by her father and grandfather. zuko gets agitated and wants to show off his own skills to prove himself, but is unable to produce a powerful flame like azula. he's embarrassed, and feels inferior to azula (season 2, ep. 7: zuko alone). there are plenty more examples of this sort of thing but i'm not going to get into it.

another thing that really created the divide between zuko and azula and ozai, was zuko's relationship with his mother. while his mother loved both azula and zuko, she obviously favored zuko. i don't think this is necessarily a bad thing, but each child being favored by a different parents definitely creates a sort of rivalry. i know she favored zuko because of the way he was treated by his father, but i don't think it made things any easier for him because it just reminded him how much he disappointed his father.

obviously, a big turning point for zuko was when he was challenged to an agni kai by ozai, which really stuck the idea that the only thing he ever wanted to do was please his father, and in his attempt to do so he was banished instead. we see a flashback of this battle in season 1, episode 12: the storm. the thing is though, the cause of the agni kai was because zuko simply spoke out of turn at a war meeting, which really shows how ozai thought of zuko, though it was no secret to begin with.

moving onto season one, obviously we see the result of zuko's childhood trauma in the very first episode. the only thing he wants to do, or thinks he wants to do, is to earn his father's approval. he's desperate to find and capture the avatar, simply because he wants to be accepted. i think it's easy to see that deep down, zuko is not a bad person. he's angry and he feels rejected by the person who is supposed to love and support him. even in the first couple of episodes, you can tell he's not truly like that. take the middle of the first episode, for instance. he tells iroh that he needs to find the avatar, because his honor relies on it. you can see from his character design that he has bags under his eyes, and he just looks and sounds exhausted. i think he's just so tired of being angry all the time (season 1, episode 1: the boy in the iceberg).

throughout the entire first season, you can see more and more of zuko's past come out, like in the episode mentioned in the previous paragraph. it's not until the final episode of the first season that we start to see zuko's true self start to come out. when zuko and zhao are fighting and zhao slips, zuko's automatic response is to hold out a hand to him, forgetting about the fight. of course, zhao is stubborn and doesn't take it, and dies, but this tiny gesture kind of starts to show what sort of person zuko really is, even if it's for only a split second. another instance from this episode is when iroh tells zuko he is surprised he's not so focused on capturing aang at that moment, to which zuko simply replies that he is tired. it makes me think that he's starting to slowly realize he doesn't really want to capture the avatar, he's only doing it to, once again, please his father and earn back his honor.

as we move onto the second season, we can see zuko's development really start to pick up. in season 2, episode 1: the avatar state, azula visits iroh and zuko, telling them that ozai wants them to come home, only for them to find out later that they were going to be taken at prisoners. at the end of the episode, iroh and zuko cut off their top knots, seemingly signifying a sort of newfound freedom from the control that they've felt from ozai. what i mean by "control" is not necessarily real, physical control but moreso emotional control. even when he wasn't there, ozai still had somewhat of a hold over zuko, the "promise" of his honor back, the "promise" of his love and support. by zuko cutting off his top knot, it kind of shows that zuko is beginning to be less afraid of his father's power, and is starting to let go of the idea that he needs to earn his honor back. he's slowly starting to see his father for who he truly is, with less doubt in his mind that his father doesn't truly care about him.

another big step in zuko's journey of development and self discovery was in season two, episode five: avatar day, when zuko decides to travel alone "to find [his] way in life". i love that he's still at the beginnings of his development but it's becoming really clear as to where he's headed characterwise. after all he does for lee's family, which granted, isn't much but is still something, he's shunned away from them when it's revealed he is a firebender and prince of the firenation. these interactions are extremely important in aiding his development: it would be extremely unrealistic if everyone just accepted him as a firebender even though he helped the town. from a moral perspective, it feels as though the people of the town should be grateful for his help, but at the same time the townspeople have valid reasons to be angry and afraid of any firebender that might pass through, especially one from the royal family.

the next major event for zuko's development was in season two, episode seventeen: lake laogai. this is the episode in which zuko makes the bold decision to set appa free after finding him in the undergrounds of ba sing se, as well as finally giving up his guise as the blue spirit. starting with the obvious, setting appa free lets more of zuko's true self come out, and while he still holds a lot of anger, resentment, and trauma towards a lot of things, he ultimately decides to do the right thing to help team avatar. as for his blue spirit persona: this is the first time i'm mentioning it here, but it was a thing within the first two seasons, though moreso in the second season. the blue spirit is something that's like a persona, someone zuko can be when being himself just gets to be too much, something to hide behind. zuko throwing away the mask once and for all is a good representation of him not wanting to hide anymore.

this leads into quite possibly one of the most important moments of the series: when azula kills aang in the avatar state, and gives zuko credit for it. in season two, episode twenty: the crossroads of destiny, zuko finds azula in ba sing se, and when given the choice between azula and iroh, he chooses azula. he chooses an attempt to what he thinks is regaining his honor. this moment was an excellent way to show that no matter how much growth he may have had over the first two seasons, at the time, he ultimately still cared so much about satisfying his family that he threw away everything he had built up to in that moment just to please them.

moving onto season three, beginning with the first episode. zuko and azula have made it back to the fire nation, but zuko is still wary because he has a strong feeling that aang is alive. his instinct is right, of course. but i also think he feels wary about being home because even though his father has congratulated him and says he's proud of zuko, he still doesn't feel like he "deserves" to be there, 1) because he didn't really kill aang and 2) because i don't think being home with his family quite sits right with him after everything he's experienced on the road. he also deeply regrets betraying iroh in that split-second decision he made to side with azula.

one of the biggest turning points for zuko is in season 3, episode 11: the day of black sun, part 2: the eclipse. zuko confronts his father and tells him that the avatar is likely alive, and how he only ever wanted ozai to love him. it's at this point that zuko truly lets go of his desire to please his father, because he realizes ozai is truly a bad person. he vows to help aang learn firebending and to help team avatar defeat ozai. after this encounter, zuko has finally stopped trying to please his family, and begins his journey to find and help aang.

eventually he finds the gaang and joins them to teach aang firebending. katara is the least trustful of him, though she learns to trust him after he takes her to find the man that murdered her mother. zuko also gains the trust of toph, even after he accidentally burned her feet, the trust of sokka, by taking him to the boiling rock to save his father, and the trust of aang, by going with him to learn the true root of firebending. all of these events together really emphasize how desperate zuko was to prove that he no longer wanted to harm aang.

this is proved even more when aang suddenly goes missing before sozin's comet, and zuko leads the search to find aang. while they do not find him, june leads him and the rest of the gaang to the order of the white lotus, where he reconciles with iroh. he feels immense remorse for abandoning iroh, and of course iroh, being the amazing guy he is, says that he was never angry with zuko, he was only afraid that he had lost his way.

the final moment in the show that cements zuko's development is in the final two episodes: season 3, episode 20: sozin's comet, part 3: into the inferno and season 3, episode 21: sozin's comet, part 4: avatar aang. during this episode, zuko engages in a comet-enhanced agni kai against azula. he is able to use the skills he learned from when he learned of the true roots of firebending from the dragons, and that ultimately helped him win the agni kai. azula was fighting zuko with anger, while zuko was fighting with composure. this also showed how the recent events had changed the two characters: azula was known to be calm and calculated, while zuko was known to have a short temper.

however, without katara's intervention, zuko would not have won against azula. as azula was preparing to strike zuko with lightning, she notices katara behind zuko and attempts to strike her instead. she fails, as zuko jumps in front of katara to save her. as zuko struggles to recover from the strike, katara realizes that it is up to her to finish the battle. she freezes azula in a block of ice and chains her to a sewer grate, ultimately finishing azula off. she had finally gone insane and was just so exhausted of everything.

the reason this moment helped to cement zuko's development is because before, zuko was never one to accept help. he always felt that he needed to do everything on his own, and the fact that he was able to let katara finish the battle for him says a lot about his development. not only did he accept the help, he truly no longer cares about "getting credit" for winning the battle.

before i end this, i want to take a moment to talk about this idea of "honor" that zuko seems to have throughout the series. as we've already clearly established, he wants to please his father. but what does this honor really mean to him? to me, i think it changes throughout the series. throughout his childhood and the first season, his honor means making not only his father proud, but the fire nation. he had all this pressure of being prince of the fire nation, and i think he was terrified of disappointing the fire nation, because he's simply not like them. although he was raised with the idea that trying to take over the world and win the war was "good," i still don't think he ever really believed it like his father or sister did. i think that's likely the doing of his mother, who kept him grounded. she likely did not approve of the war and the fire nation's plans either.

during season one, i think his idea of honor mostly stays the same, although i think it shifts a little bit. while he still wants to please his father, it's more desperate, and i think he's starting to feel the exhaustion of trying to be perfect for ozai.

in season two, his perspective of what honor means to him begins to shift a bit more. he's on his own for the very first time and he gets to think about his childhood. as season two progresses, i think honor begins to mean that he should honor himself and his own values rather than whatever his father wants him to do.

finally, in season 3, his idea of honor is concrete. he has finally gotten to a place where he doesn't feel like he needs ozai's approval to gain his honor. he has finally realized that to gain his honor back, he needs to respect himself and his own values.

all in all, zuko is one of my favorite animated characters ever created and as you can probably tell, i think he has one of the best developments of a character in tv history. thank you for (hopefully) reading this, and i'll see y'all in a couple months probably!

Q. I thought that the emotional acting became deeper through this work. Have you ever felt like you, as an actor, have grown in your acting?

A. (Shaking head) I don't have any. I am a person focused on the field. That's why I tend to break down when I can't concentrate. Everyone says I'm being embarrassed (laughter), but when I go as Chaeok, I told not to talk to her because I have to concentrate. Once I do, I feel better. I don't know how far this concentration will go or how much focus I will have. I feel like I haven't been able to concentrate 100% yet, so I'm not satisfied with myself. I think I'll be satisfied if I focus because everything is in order, but I still feel like I'm not focused enough.

Q. Although she is wounded on the inside, she is a strong character on the outside. How did you try to understand and digest it?

A. The wound must have become dull. It's 10 years, but chasing that pain ultimately means carrying it with a very strong mind. So it can't be described as a wound. It ends with her promise, her determination to find her mother. So it doesn't matter if you are cut by a knife or risk your life. People with scars can't do that. She thought it was the strength to move forward. For example, if you have 100 days when someone dies, you can cry for 10 days. But not when the 99th day comes. Chaeok must have been like that too.

Q. Actor Park Seojoon gave a lot of praise in the interview. How would you praise actor Park Seojoon?

A. For me, it shows when the filming set is difficult. The assistant director even asks if I’m okay. Seojun oppa looks really good, but he didn't make it obvious. He's good at controlling himself. It's amazing that only a mentally strong person can do it. He could've said it was difficult, but he didn't. Later, he said, "It was really hard for me, too." So, I said, "I can't tell. How did you endure it?" I thought it was amazing. I thought I was filming while leaning on (Seojoon) oppa, but he didn't say anything and he was filming while leaning on me. Since (Seojoon) oppa was so dignified, I didn't think I should say that I was having a hard time as well. I felt very scared of Seojun oppa at first. He doesn't even talk much. (Seojoon) oppa always poses on set. He sits in his chair and looks at his phone and sits still. How can I talk to him when it’s like that? Since we got close, there is no one in the world who is this friendly.

Q. Writer Kang Eunkyung said she was impressed by Han So-hee's attitude. What is something you consider important in the field?

A. It's concentration. It's not just about focusing on the actors when creating a work. Everyone on set, including the director, must do the same. I don't like to chat or joke before filming. It's okay once we've finished filming all the scenes, but I can't get excited before filming. This will probably be like this for the rest of my life.

Q. Looking at the works you've been doing, I think you've been doing a lot of heavy and serious characters.

A. Strangely, I only get characters that are opposite to my personality. I talk a lot, but my character is quiet. So, I want to try a character that matches my personality. I think Nabi in 'Nevertheless' was a bit similar, but her way of looking at men was completely wrong. Dakyung from ‘The World of the Married’ was also wrong.

Q. Recently, on the so-called "solitary room" (a message group on KaTalk) you wrote, "I'll do my best not to embarrass my fans, so please give me just the right love until then. I'll pay you back twice as much." Is there a reason you did that?

A. I'm a person who started my career as an actor, and I don't want my fans to hear that I'm not good at it. I couldn't be better when I hear that I'm good at it. But you shouldn't be told that you're bad at it. This is something that should never be done, and you shouldn't use it as a career. There must be a reason why you get paid, and that's because you did the job perfectly and did it well. So, I don't want to be embarrassed when fans say, 'The person I like, Han Sohee, is an actress.' I think we should be able to say with pride, "My unnie is an actor, she's an actress," not "Sohee, you're pretty."

Q. Is there a reason why you use "hyung-nim" to actor Park Seojoon and actor Do Kyungsoo?

A. I can't say "oppa" to anyone. Even when I was young, there was no oppa around me. The word "oppa" is awkward. Only when we meet face to face can I quietly say, ‘Oppa was like this,’ but I don’t like calling ‘oppa’ through text, so I call them ‘hyung’ or ‘hyung-nim’.

Q. You became a hot topic by expressing your affection for actress Song Hyekyo. Do you usually express it like that?

A. I am only nice to people I like. Human relationships are closed. (Showing her cell phone) I only have 35 people in my phone contact.

Q. Did you save your younger sister's number that you fought with? (laughs)

A. (firmly) disowned. So I don’t have a younger sister.

Q. When you look at the fans, honey drips from my eyes. you're famous for being nice to your fans, to the point where I can't help but think, 'It must be nice to be a fan of Han Sohee.'

A. I'm so thankful and happy for the fans. I think they really like and support me for no reason. I'm expressing as much as I can to those fans.

I just had to go to a dentist appointment with my mother because she was worried the dentist would say something mean (long story, basically she has dental implants and a lot of problems with them and he called her yesterday and told her to come in) so she didn't want to go alone.

She is so fucking dramatic. Not because she didn't want to go alone, I kind of get that, but because of the way she made everything sound soooo bad. It was completely fine. No one was mad at her, everything was alright, nothing bad happened.

The only problem was.... her. She does this thing where she will look at people (specifically men) like some kind of petulant child, she does a stupid voice and pretends that everything is soooo much worse than it is because she wants special treatment. Literally, that's why she does it. It's so embarrassing. She acts so goddamn stupid and then gets annoyed when they talk to her like she's a child. She's never direct and just says what she means, she talks around it in this stupid voice like she literally is a child.

In the beginning I just sat there and listened but she kept being ridiculous and whiny, so I started stepping in to tell her that what they were suggesting is fine and completely reasonable (what I really meant was that she was being an entitled, spoiled brat, because she was).

They basically offered her one thing that would fix the problem (but the appointment would have to be 3-4 weeks from now), and then something they could do to make it a bit better until then - she didn't want that additional thing, but she also kept going on and on about how awful this is and that she can't wait that long. Well, tough luck! They clearly explained why it couldn't happen any sooner, they offered something to help in the meantime but she didn't want it. Sooo what good does it do to keep fluttering your eyelashes and being a baby about it?! I'm so tired of this shit.

I know that sounds mean and like an overreaction but I've had to deal with this my entire fucking life. Everyone coddles her and does everything she wants so when she doesn't immediately get exactly what she wants she does this stupid show and pretends she is such a poor little victim and everyone is sooo mean to her and why won't they make it right and do what she wants. When everyone literally does everything for her.

I hate this, I hate it, I don't want to have to see her behave like that, it physically hurts. But my brother asked me to go with her (he had a work appointment) and I don't want him to have to deal with the fallout if she had to go alone.

Also, these situations really make it very clear why I grew up feeling like everything was so difficult and impossible. How could I think anything else if that's all I ever saw. Literally, everything in my life has been infinitely easier than dealing with her ever was. Most people are nice, most people don't want to inconvenience you or hurt you or whatever. They want to work with you to solve the problem. All she ever does is manipulate people to get her way.

The funniest thing is that she kept saying she wasn't sure I should come in with her because I get so aggressive. It's funny because I have literally never been anything but friendly and polite and very calm with anyone outside of my family. I just don't play this stupid game that she plays and she thinks that means I'm aggressive (I react exactly like my brother and she praised him for being so calm and assertive :) I literally hate being AFAB so fucking much because that is the only difference.)

• Origin & Class

1. What is their backstory and why did you choose it?

I think I mentioned this before. Kori comes from a noble family, and has spent basically all her life at home and rather very very sheltered, until she gets pulled out of that into this adventure.

I can't really explain why I chose it. I have a (canon, from somewhere else) character that she's based on, and for how I imagine her in this world it just works to have her be so very sheltered and sweet and naive too.

2. What is their class (+ subclass) and why did you choose it?

Wild magic sorcerer - it just "spoke" to me when I first had to pick a role. I've always been someone to like the "magic" role in these types of games, and wild and somewhat uncontrolled just sounded very fun and very much like Kori and I haven't been disappointed. I love it a lot, I wish there'd be more mods for making the wild magic even more wild. (There are some, but I think most of the additional surge effects these mods add don't actually work anymore)

3. Do they multiclass? Why (not)?

I had no idea about multiclassing even being a thing when I started, and I think I still don't really know enough about it to consider it much. Idk, it also kinda feels right for someone like her to stick with what she knows - and she has magic within her anyway so outside of other things based on magic idk what she would pick anyway.

4. Is there a reason why your Tav starts out as Level 1?

That'd probably be her inexperience, if anything. Although I think I would usually assume she has some "level" already from practicing her magic at home, under non-nautiloid circumstances.

5. Does your Tav have family members? Are they close?

Kori has always considered herself very close to her big sister, Ari. She looks up to her and loves her a lot, and she would also very much praise her over herself if that comes up.

She does have a little brother, too, though everyone assumes he's dead.

And her father is still there too though ever since the little brother disappeared and the mother died shortly thereafter, he's almost completely burying himself in work (don't ask me what his work is, I still need to figure that out at some point) and the sisters barely see him anymore.

Last but not least, there's the caretaker, he's not part of the family by blood, but he's been there to take care of Kori and Ari almost all the time, so he is like a second - perhaps more than the actual, at this point - father to Kori.

6. Does your Tav have any friends from their past? Are they still friends?

Not really, no. She never really met many people, so she doesn't exactly know enough others than family to really have friends.

7. Does your Tav have connections to other characters (I.e.: NPCs)?

Nope here too! I could probably make up some things of how she should by extension maybe know of some of the higher class within Baldur's Gate, but, I honestly never saw reason to make anything like that so far. So no.

8. Where did your character live before the events of the game?

Like said above, in her home, barely ever leaving the house more than for her garden - for the game, I assume their home is in Baldur's Gate.

9. Does your Tav have a different class/race/origin than in the game? (I.e.: Your Tav is Aasimar, fisherman backstory ...)

As in what isn't available? No.

10. What was your Tav like as a child?

Pretty much like she is now too - cheerful, energetic, a bit chaotic mostly thanks to her magic, friendly and happy.

• Prologue

11. What goes through your Tav's head when they wake up on the Nautiloid? Are they scared or do they push those feelings aside to focus on escaping?

Waking up trapped in the thing, Kori is absolutely horrified, especially when it's time for, how did Gale word it so nicely, the intruder in the ocular region. She'd probably be crying - both in the tears and in the shouting way - a lot in there, and obviously try desperately to struggle, but I imagine any struggles don't really work while trapped in such a pod, and only once those break can she get free. At that point, she'd still be very afraid and shocked at where she is and basically everything around her, but she'd try to focus on needing to get out.

12. How does your Tav feel about Us? Did they free them, maim them or leave them behind?

(I just assume here that Us is the brain in that shallow body early in the nautiloid? If it's somewhere else then I managed to just never encounter it before, sorry)

Um, a living brain thing that's, like, in some form connected to the mindflayers that kidnapped her? Yeah, not even much to consider. She felt rather disgusted - or again, horrified - at having to do it, but she killed the thing pretty much right away.

13. What was your Tav's first reaction to Lae'Zel?

Kori didn't actually really know much about Githyanki before, so she was an interesting sight, but Kori is not the type to be wary or anything because of that. So basically, her reaction was along the lines of "what- ooh! she seems strong!".

14. What was your Tav's first reaction to Shadowheart?

Obviously, she wanted to help her get out of the pod - a fellow someone having gotten trapped, there's no second thought.

15. Does your Tav use their Arcana knowledge to free Shadowheart or do they use the rune found in the next room?

She'd try arcana, but probably make sure to not risk anything (especially since her magic tends to be chaotic) and go the route of the rune.

16. Does your Tav help the mindflayer against Commander Zhalk or do they run straight to the helm?

Straight for the helm. She sees absolutely no reason no help a mindflayer fight off attackers after what they just did to her - if anything, she'd probably rather help the commander against the mindflayer.

17. Does your Tav's starting armor reflect them? If not, what would they wear instead?

Her starting "armor" would most likely be some dress, because that's what she'd get snatched into the nautiloid by.

18. If you could, would your Tav see any of the other companions? If so, how would they react?

Skipping this one because I honestly don't really know what it's asking.

19. What's your Tav's personality like at the start of the game? Does it change as the game goes on?

She always keeps her sweet, kind and rather naive personality, although she does get a bit more ready for fighting or to do things that have to be done. Not that she enjoys them even after everything.

20. Finally, what does your Tav feel as the Nautiloid crashes? Are they scared? Are they thinking of a way to survive?

It's not the first time for her to fall from high up, but admittedly usually she knew there was someone to catch her or she had the chance to cast feather fall for herself to make sure she doesn't get hurt. Yes, she's scared, but mostly she's just hoping that this is her chance to get out of the horror of the nautiloid (little did she know everything was only beginning) and that her magic might somehow save her from falling to her death.

• Act 1

21. Which companion do you get first? If you get Shadowheart first no matter what, who's the second one?

Because I'm a sucker for her and Astarion, I'd like to say that after Shadowheart, they'd come across Astarion next. Usually when I play, I end up picking up Gale before Astarion, but since by now I actually know what I'm doing, yes, I'd say the one she picks up after Shadowheart is Astarion.

22. What is your Tav's first impression of the other companions (Astarion, Gale, Karlach, Wyll ...)

Astarion: Well, she does go to look for the brain he claims to have cornered, and very much end up on the ground with a dagger to her throat next. That part wasn't exactly a nice first impression, but his "excuse" of doing it because she walked around in the nautiloid did make sense, and he seemed rather interesting right away.

Gale: She used her magic to... idk how it's called in the scene anymore, attune to the glyph that got him stuck, and she - obviously - helps him out of the thing. He seems like he knows a lot, and certainly friendly and definitely someone good to have in the team.

Wyll: Pretty much that he's clearly a hero. She'd be, perhaps a little swooned even by his whole scene when he appeared. Absolutely initially agrees to his whole mission, because it sounds like the right thing to do and it's always better to work together.

Karlach: It's quite a surprise when who Wyll described as almost evil is Karlach. It's obvious almost immediately that she isn't a monster or a demon or whatever else that'd justify killing her, and Karlach seems really cool and strong and amazing.

23. What's their opinion of Emerald Grove? Do they help the tieflings or side with the druids?

The whole place seems rather beautiful and like a wonderful "safe haven". It's a pity to hear that the druids want to lock it up, and Kori almost immediately asks about how to help with stopping that.

24. How does your Tav feel about Mol and her friends?

Kori loves children, so while she isn't very happy to somewhat fall for some of their "trickery" initially, she is rather fond of them in a way. Though she'd still try to convince them that they shouldn't do these types of things and pick ways to earn money that isn't that "wrong" to do.

25. What does your Tav think of Aradin?

He seems like just some adventurer (for hire, I guess) at first, so she doesn't really have any very strong thoughts about him.

26. What does your Tav think of the Raphael?

He's sure very, what's the word, good with words and charming enough, but while Kori may be naive, she's not a fool. She knows making deals with demons can't be a good idea, so she's right away against considering his deal, as tempting as it may sound to get rid of the tadpoles right away.

27. Does your Tav adopt Scratch and the Owlbear cub? Did you name him?

She definitely does come across Scratch and adopts him - in my first run as her I didn't actually really happen across the Owlbear cub at all. But I do like to imagine she definitely adopts the Owlbear cub too, and as for a name, she'd probably ask him what he wants to be named and assuming he doesn't give a proper answer, she would make a few suggestions. (Don't ask me what those would be, idk)

28. What does your Tav think of Auntie Ethel? What do they tell Mayrina?

At first, as "nice old lady", she seemed nice enough, but when the two brothers confronted her, Kori could see the situation for what it was and did not step in for Auntie. She tells Mayrina the truth, that they found her brothers outside and that Auntie killed them - and after the battle with the hag, she gives Mayrina the wand for her zombified husband. Or boyfriend or what they are, I don't remember right now.

29. What does your Tav do about the Goblin camp? Do they free Halsin or side with Minthara? What's their opinion of them?

Definitely free Halsin. Her opinion of Minthara is simply that she's one of the leaders of the Goblin camp and as such need to be stopped - when I do a run of Kori I'd usually knock Minthara out and take her along later, but it doesn't quite feel like what Kori would actually do because she doesn't exactly go around only knocking out dangerous enemies, and Minthara definitely seems dangerous. As for Halsin, well, initially she only sees a bear that's getting harrassed by the goblins and wants to help the bear - when he then turns out to be Halsin, that's even better. He reminds her of her caretaker somewhat, perhaps simply because of the kind personality and the bigger build for an elf. He seems nice and friendly and very caring for nature, and Kori is happy to make a new friend in him.

30. Who does your Tav think of when they go to sleep at the goblin/tiefling party? Or are they lucky and do they get to spend the night with the person they want?

At that point she's already very deeply swooned by a certain vampire rogue, so she's absolutely thinking about him - also absolutely did talk with him beforehand about getting together again. Yes, again, because I absolutely imagine it happened before that already. I like to imagine that maybe the second time, he actually stays for a cuddle (idk if I'd say the whole talk of sleep that I wrote in a little writing snippet has happened already at this point or not, but either way I think Kori would try to convince him to just lie a little longer) and they return to camp a bit too late.

31. What does your Tav think of the Underdark and the Myconids?

A fascinating place, the Underdark, almost like a whole different world. Kori is amazed by the Myconids, they're fascinating and seem so nice and peaceful and it's amazing. Of course she's offering to help them and bring them Nere's head too.

32. Does your Tav help Glut or do they fight him?

She does offer to help at first, until she realizes what Glut is doing. Then, her group fights him.

33. Do you bring the potion ingredients to Omeluum and, if so, did you drink it? Did you barter for his ring?

She brought the ingredients, yes, and tried the potion too. And yes, she absolutely did get the ring too.

34. Does your Tav react to the Sussur flower (Sorcerer) or how would they react if it affected them?

Being a wild magic sorcerer, it certainly affects her, and it feels like a part of her has just disappeared. It's concerning at first, then for a few moments maybe it would actually feel interesting, perhaps nice in a way, to be without it, but she would very much want her powers back, and also feel rather helpless (she does know basics with a bow and can use her staff for melee attacks, but it's just not the same and she knows she's more of a hindrance like this) while under the effects of the flower. She'd take care that someone carries it that she doesn't usually stand too close to, and quickly bring it to camp to store it in the camp chest - which gets positioned somewhere away from where she usually goes, too, so she can avoid the effects.

35. Do they deliver Nere's head to the Myconids and save the slaves?

Yes to both of these. She does not like Nere, and doesn't hesitate to fight him.

36. Did your Tav fight the Forge Protector? How did the fight go for them?

It was a surprise when the fight started, but running wasn't really an option. It was a tough and close battle, but they managed with a lot of effort and wounds and exhaustion.

37. Did your Tav go to Creche Y'llek? Did they know something was up with the healer?

Yes, they went to the Creche (and Kori was absolutely in love with the monastery, it's such a beautiful place and it must have looked even better in its prime), and no, initially she didn't assume anything bad about the healer. Until Lae'zel tried the, whatsthename, and almost died, then it became rather obvious that the healer wasn't just "leaving to get the tools". Needless to say, they had to fight their way out nonetheless. And since Lae'zel still insisted, they still kept going further in to the creche and did the whole enter the prism thing.

38. Did your Tav deface the portrait of Vlaakith?

Nope, Kori's too sweet for that.

39. Did your Tav get the Blood of Lathandar?

Yes, and she had the crest from the monastery for it. No "full power of the sun" dialogue, but Kori would feel horrible about if that happens anyway. Fun fact: I have not have had that "full power of the sun" dialogue for myself at all yet. I have seen clips of it though, so that's alright, and I know I could just reload some save to get the scene but, meh. Maybe it'll come up naturally at some point.

40. Did your Tav agree to kill the Guardian or did they go talk to them instead?

If possible, Kori would not have agreed to go to kill the Guardian in the first place. Since, as far as I tried at least, it's always game over if you are in that scene with Vlaakith and don't agree though, I'm going to say that Kori went in there because of Lae'zel wanting it, and then could sense that defying Vlaakith right there would very much not be a good idea and potentially lethal, so she did agree but never actually intended to kill the Guardian. They need them, after all, so Kori would talk to them instead.

• Act 2

41. Which way did they take? Did they run into Elminster? What was their opinion of his news for Gale?

Kori would absolutely have - somehow - managed to convince the party to go for the mountain pass, and after that, go down the way in the goblin camp. Idk what she would say to convince them though, she herself would definitely want to see everything and I'd assume that they go for the Creche first (bc Lae'zel says there'll be a cure) and after that maybe it'd be like "well that didn't cost much time, let's go the Underdark route now" or sth idk. But, yes, while doing the mountain area, they definitely encountered Elminster too, and, well. It was rather shocking to hear what news he brought. Of course, Kori instantly was like "no way, that's not gonna happen, we'll find another way".

42. How does your Tav react to the shadow curse? Are they scared of the dark?

The shadow curse is very... creepy, to see, with how it overtakes people and everything. Kori is rather very on edge about it while wandering the shadow-cursed lands, but I wouldn't say downright scared.

43. What does your Tav think of Jaheira and the Harpers?

They seem really cool, and very knowledgeable - definitely worthy allies to try to have. She would hesitate to tell Jaheira all the details about the group's problems, at first, simply because giving away all the "secrets" is never really that good an idea, but she would be trusting them soon enough and happy to have her on their side.

44. What does your Tav think of Isobel?

A cleric basically on her own keeping the Inn safe from the shadow curse. It's amazing and she'd definitely be somewhat impressed by Isobel, especially when she then turns out to be nice too.

45. Does your Tav help Mol win against Raphael?

Yes, definitely - I don't recall the options rn but I think there was one for "cheating" and one for actual tips? Kori would probably not know enough about lanceboard tactics to give proper tips, so she would probably help by cheating for Mol. Something like that. I'd have to redo the scene to be able to tell more detail.

46. Does your Tav help Astarion make a deal with Raphael?

She's very much not happy that a deal with Raphael is the way to go.

I like to think Kori managed to convince him to, before that, ask the rest of the party if they can make any sense of it - mostly I'm thinking Karlach (bc was so long in the Hells), Wyll (bc Mizora and all) and maybe Gale (bc might have learned that too) - though probably not in a way of actually explaining what it's about. More like, Kori would have copied a part of his scars - say three symbols or sth (if you can separate the thing into parts, I'm just assuming that's possible) onto a paper and just asked them if they could make out what it is. If they'd ask where she came across these, she'd say something of just having seen them somewhere - not a direct lie, but not telling them about Astarion's scars bc he probably doesn't want that.

Once that didn't turn up anything - idk, no one could read it, or maybe parts but not enough to make sense or sth - then she would definitely help Astarion make a deal. And be rather relieved when the deal is only to kill someone. Like, she isn't a fan of killing, of course, especially not someone that might have been helpful otherwise or that she has no idea is bad or not (when initially hearing about the whole thing), but at least it's not giving something more personal or whatever, what you'd usually expect when you think "deals with a devil".

47. Does your Tav help Markus or do they warn Isobel?

Definitely warn Isobel. She's important for the Inn, and even without that, Kori would not support such an attack/kidnapping.

48. Does your Tav steal the moonlantern from Kar'Niss or do they fight him?

She'd fight him - or rather, that group, together with the harpers.

49. How does your Tav react to Ketheric Thorm? What about his family (Gerringothe Thorm, Malus Thorm ...)?

He's rather intimidating, at first impression, and it feels like he's going to be a whole different level of fight compared to anything the group had to fight so far. She'd be nervous about the whole thing, definitely, but when they find and free Dame Aylin and through that make the general less undefeatable, her usual (sometimes unreasonable) confidence would come back out and she'd be sure that they'll be able to finish him.

His family, well, she wouldn't quite realize they're his family, at first.

The gold woman is very... odd, and while I usually go the route of talking her out of it, I don't know if Kori would quite be giving the right choices for that here, so they'd probably have to fight.

The doctor is downright creepy, and Kori would feel rather very uncomfortable at the sight of his actions, but she'd manage to hold it together well-enough to convince him that, if I remember the scene correctly, he should be the "practice dummy" for his nurses.

And the barman? I guess I should call him, uh well, he's quite a sight, and she'd definitely look around the tavern first before even considering to approach. Eventually, she would approach to try to get more information, and well, she's doing decent enough at pretending to drink that she just pretends to and manages to get the guy that way. - She probably learned a few ways of "deception" of these types of things (sleight of hand you'd call it I think) from Astarion bc originally she would absolutely not have managed to do anything like that but I like to think she can do it at least somewhat by this point. (I like to think she learned that and also like lockpicking and maybe tips for how to move more silently or the likes from him somewhat early-ish - not too early but before like the middle - of the adventure because it's just impressive to see and she absolutely would keep asking him about it. Cue him making her wanting to learn these things more flirty/teasing in some form with like idk you know the usual stuff like holding a little too close or brushing hands or whatever, and it would absolutely distract her and hinder her learning of it but she'd keep going - perhaps both bc she wants to learn it and bc the way he makes it is just making her feel all flustered in a good way like when isn't he making her feel like that - and eventually get at least somewhat a grip on these things.)

50. Does your Tav save the tieflings & gnomes?

Yes, definitely, no question about it.

51. What does your Tav think of the Gauntlet of Shar?

The look is very beautiful, Kori loves the purplish lights and the decorations and everything. It does feel a bit too dark though (duh) and the whole place feels like there's always danger lurking right behind you. She probably got spooked at the very least a few times by Astarion, perhaps by a few of the others in various situations too, while in that place, simply because of how anxious/wary it makes her feel. (Taking this moment to say fck the shadow step trial or how it's called, with where you need to go an unseen path, that NEVER works for me even if I unequip like everything idk what it is. Come to think about it now that I write this, maybe it's bc I'm playing an elf and the darkvision - I think that's how it's called that they can see okayish in the dark still - also ruins the pattern? Idk about that but I should try to do the thing with one of the other companions the next time I come around it)

52. What does your Tav think of Dame Aylin?

Very impressive, very powerful, very cool. Definitely looks up to her, is glad that she could help Shadowheart decide against killing her, and she's awed at seeing her fly out there and, idk how to word it, spread her light in the sky there. That whole scene after freeing her, I mean.

53. Did your Tav help Art Cullagh?

Yes, very much so. Met him first time in the LLI, then went to look for and found his lute and well yes the whole story.

54. What did your Tav tell Arabella about her parents?

I'd have to replay to know what the options were, but Kori would try to give a nicely worded, soft version of the truth. Apologize to her too while she's saying it, multiple times so of course, and feel horrible for a day or two that they couldn't actually save her parents.

55. Did your Tav reunite with Us?

Didn't let Us live, so not possible.

56. What did your Tav think of the Mindflayer colony?

Very disgusting place, and Kori instantly feels very uncomfortable. They never have been to a colony before, only a nautiloid, but it's still bringing back all the memories of the nautiloid and pointing out starkly the whole situation they're in, and, she'd just, feel very uncomfortable throughout the whole place.

57. Did your Tav free Zevlor? Did they free Mizora?

Yes to both. One because why wouldn't she, he deserves to be free, and two because, for Wyll.

58. Did your Tav complete the Brain Node puzzle?

It took more time than she should have spent on something like this, and multiple of her companions tried to convince her that it can't be that important and that they should just continue onwards. But Kori insisted that things might be useful when hidden behind such a riddle/puzzle, and continued, and eventually did complete it.

59. Did you use the Minds you find on the head near the brain node puzzle?

As in listening to what they said - yes, Kori did that. I think that was all there was to them, unless I forgot something?

60. Did you clear Moonrise Towers of the shadow curse?

Yes, the shadow-cursed lands are no longer shadow-cursed. And Kori would have loved to take a look around the place now that it wasn't shrouded in that eerie darkness anymore, but of course, the party had urgent matters to attend so they had to keep going. Maybe something to revisit after the adventure is over.

• Act 3

61. How does your Tav feel about Baldur's Gate? Is it their home? Is it their first time in the city?

It is Kori's home, yes, but she has never left her home - as in the house - much so most of the city is still entirely new to her. She'd absolutely comment on things and how the city is so wonderfully lively - even if part of that is criminal activities or shapechangers or cultists.

62. What's their first impression when they enter Rivington?

Basically, "oh, those poor people stranded here, there has to be a way to help them get into the city proper!" The place looks nice enough in itself, but it's crowded and the people don't seem very happy to be here and Kori can understand that if they're stuck here and not allowed to continue in.

63. If Shadowheart got a new haircut, how does your Tav react?

Complimenting her on it, of course - to be fair, Kori would probably compliment her regardless of how she'd personally like the change of hair; it's not her head and as long as Shadowheart is happy about it, Kori is happy about it because her friends being happy is important to her. She does like her new look though, it fits to what she's been through.

64. What does your Tav do with the trapped kids' toys?

Stop the traps, and probably check as good as she can that no explodey toys are going around at all anymore.

65. Does your Tav go to the circus? Do they like the activities?

Yes, Kori was very excited to go, and certainly liked the whole atmosphere.

She wasn't actually interested in the face-painting, and tried the wheel once and then didn't want to "waste" more gold on it.

The love test was something she really wanted to do, and I imagine she was watching some other random (npc, idk) couple do it and she looked so longingly but didn't even suggest it to Astarion but he noticed and just sighed and agreed to it. She had very much considered to give "true" answers, but hesitated and then gave the alternative answers because she knew that while she didn't mind being an open book, it can be risky and she also very much knows that Astarion doesn't quite enjoy being quite so open-book.

Uh, what else? The whole mess with Dribbles was, well, an experience - she initially refused to go on stage but then reluctantly agreed, and was absolutely taken by surprise by the sudden attack.

I think that was everything about the circus - if I forgot something, then oops.

66. Does your Tav help with the murder investigation?

Yes, absolutely. They have enough on their to-do already, but Kori would never just let something like these things happen.

67. Does your Tav meet Tara? What's their opinion?

Initially upon seeing her, Kori is simply amazed and probably going like "awww how cute!" until she realizes - probably by Gale telling her before they actually approach and talk to her - that Tara is much more than just that and when they talk, Kori is really delighted and likes Tara almost right away.

68. What does your Tav do with the Mindflayer in the windmill?

Be shocked by happening across a mindflayer like that, and then kill it. Sad, but there's no other option.

69. Does your Tav run into Orin? If so, what's their first opinion?

She's horrified. Orin seems crazy and dangerous and somehow very much out for the group, and she's a shapeshifter so that's like the worst thing possible. After meeting her for the first time, Kori would suggest to make like "passwords" with everyone to make sure one can always tell that the other is still the true one. And she would try to even less leave Astarion's side, because the thought of her lover being replaced and getting attacked by him - or worse, she being replaced and her imitation attacking him - was absolutely unbearable. She'd probably have developed a very restless, light sleep for a while afterwards, perhaps until they finished Orin.

70. Does your Tav make a deal with Raphael?

Nope. It's never good to make a deal with a devil, and such a powerful item as the crown shouldn't be in anyone's hands.

71. Does your Tav 'spend time' at Sharess' Caress?

Nope. She's talking to the people there (and feels very flustered about being in the place in the first place, but it's important to look for information or otherwise useful stuff everywhere so that includes here), and the welcoming person (I think that was the owner, even, iirc?) immediately suggesting experiences to her did not help and only made Kori even more flustered.

And in the dialogue with the drow twins she absolutely would initially very much not get what they're hinting at, and only once they either get more direct in spelling it out or once Astarion interferes and tells Kori that he isn't ready for these things again yet she'll realize what the two were on about, blush heavily and excuse herself quickly from the drow twins to apologize multiple times to Astarion in stammering in attempts to make clear that she had very much not intended to try to ask anything of him nor wanted anything of them herself, while he's probably just finding it amusing since he realized she hadn't even been aware what the twins had been on about.

72. How does your Tav enter the city?

Trying to go in through the entrance, like one should be able to. She's giving money too, and is rather disappointed when that doesn't confirm enough to allow them in. The scene would end with, I think it was some Gondians?, attacking the steel watcher and the group quickly going in in the chaos.

73. Do they free Florrick?

I mean, that only happens later after hearing about it in the city somewhere (I think? Weird how I can not quite remember the exact timeline of these things despite having played three times through it all already), but yes, definitely. By unlocking her cell and then accompanying her out with giving her an invisibility potion (at least I think that worked when I did it? I may recall wrong and it's not possible ingame, but I'll just hc it happened this way anyway).

74. What do they do at Gortash' coronation?

Grit her teeth, endure the mock of a ceremony without speaking up, because it's too dangerous to attack him right there with so many innocents and all these Steel Guards and Flaming Fist around.

When talking to him afterwards, agree to nothing, and make her dislike of him rather known but not too much since, again, she doesn't want to risk conflict right at that moment.

75. What does your Tav do with the serial killer running rampant?

Look for the killer, search and stop him. It's effort, and he gets away one time, but the party manages to stop him eventually.

76. Does your Tav tell Dame Aylin about Lorroaken? Do they help her fight him?

Yes. She first tells Lorroakan that Aylin had died, then tells Aylin about it, and, well, Kori would have preferred if they could just leave it at that since it didn't seem to her like the wizard had any suspicions against her words - but since Aylin insisted on fighting him, of course Kori went back there with her party to fight the man.

77. Does your Tav go to the House of Hopes? If so, do they sleep with Haarlep?

Yes, they go to the House of Hopes. The place is impressive, fancy and elegant and Kori would like the look of it if not for the fact where it was and what dangers it entailed for them to even be here.

Encountering Haarlep (fun fact, I always for some reason think and type Harleep first which makes absolutely no sense) went... well. I mentioned at the brothel that Kori had no idea what the twins were on about. It would be similar here too, she would initially go along - very wary and unhappy, but trying to avoid unnecessary fighting - with Haarlep's "game", even far enough to undress. Only when the part comes where he went about her joining him on the bed does she realize what he is about - and mentally scolds herself, he's a succubus (or sth like that? idk the term don't be mad at me) and she really should have figured that out when she was told to undress and already refused there - and refuses. They probably start fighting while she's still undressed which makes her feel ridiculous and perhaps a little humiliated to fight while all her friends could see her like that, but she hardly has the time to go to a corner and dress herself so uh, yeah. I can imagine Astarion would afterwards give her a bit of a scolding about just how naive and unaware of things she can be to not realize that and actually willingly undress like that - not too harsh, more like in understanding and worry, but still.

78. Does your Tav help the Wavemother?

I'll have to be honest, I never actually got a quest from that place. I think I usually have already finished the Iron Throne before going there, so that might be why? So uh since I don't know about that quest, I'll just say she probably did help - but don't ask me for details. Kori does like the temple and the singing in it, though.

79. Does your Tav rescue the prisoners in the Iron Throne?

Yes, very much so. I imagine it's a struggle and a really close shave in some form - in game you only either make it or not, but I like to imagine the whole place flooding and the team spread out and some of them dive back in to get the others that got like stuck somewhere, the whole 'fearing some of them might drown or why aren't they back no we're not leaving anyone behind if it means I'll have to risk myself diving back to search for them then so be it' stuff.

80. Does your Tav free the slaves from Steel Watch Foundry? Do they side with the Gondians or with Wulbren?

Yes, absolutely, and Kori would very much side with the Gondians. They didn't exactly have a choice, and she's convinced no one is just bad.

81. If you saved Oskar in Act 1, did you meet him again? If so, did you help him? Did you side with the Mystic Carrion or with Thrumbo?

Yes, saved him, yes met him again, yes, helped him and sided with Thrumbo. Destroyed Mystic Carrion, and Kori went back to Oskar after he offered to do a painting for them to ask for a painting of Astarion which she planned as a gift, though revealed to him on that very same night still - I wrote a little thing about that, find that in my "my writing" tag if you wanna (I don't wanna link things here because I think posts don't appear in tags if links are in them and I love getting a random like or two).

82. What does your Tav do with the Counting House robbery?

Try to interfere, and when they disappear they soon follow them into the sewers and have to fight Minsc. Knocks him out and has him join the group afterwards.

83. Does your Tav reunite with Mayrina? Do they fight Auntie Ethel? Do they save Vanra?

Yes, yes, and yes. Idk, not much I can say to that here.

84. Does your Tav find all of Dribbles' body parts?

Nope. She looks around during their adventures, but they simply don't come across all pieces, and there isn't really the time to spend just scouting the city for the body parts. She does however go back to the circus to hand over the pieces they found - better than nothing, perhaps.

85. Who did Orin abduct from your party?

Lae'zel. A very odd choice if you ask Kori - she wouldn't have expected Lae'zel to be one to be caught unaware in the first place (Kori can only assume Orin probably took the form of one of the other companions and that's how she managed to get Lae'zel) and there were a lot better options - herself included - that would probably be a lot easier to keep subdued than their strong Gith warrior, but well. Of course Kori rushed the group to find and locate the temple to free her as quickly as possible.

86. Did your Tav complete the trial of Bhaal?

I don't really remember what exactly the ritual was. The group got the bag of hands (ew) from that killer, so that's what allowed her inside, and they did come across the tribunal and fought them and freed the... idk the term for them, that flying elephant.

87. Did your Tav side with Gortash or did they agree to kill him for Orin?

Neither really, Kori didn't side with either of them right from the start.

88. Does your Tav successfully resist the Nether Brain?

Idk what moment exactly is meant here - the moment of trying to use the stones against it? Then no, it seems to work at the first attempt, but the next two attempts pretty much fail.

89. Does your Tav side with the Emperor or do they free Orpheus? Do they become Illithid to use the Nether Stones or does one of their companions do it? Do they give the Nether Stones to the Emperor/Orpheus?

Certainly free Orpheus - he deserves to be freed, and Kori trusts he would help them nonetheless. Is rather surprised when it becomes clear that he wouldn't really help them if there wasn't an immediate bigger threat, and feels bad about it when Orpheus becomes Illithid so they have an Illithid to fight the brain with but refuses to have any of her friends do it because that's what they did the whole adventure to avoid exactly that, no even if you say you wouldn't die then Karlach this wouldn't be right.

But yes, she definitely gives Orpheus the stones once he became Illithid to fight the brain at their side.

90. Do they betray the Emperor/Orpheus/their companions for the Absolute?

Nope. Defeating the evil is what they came here for.

• Epilogue

91. Does your Tav get a happily ever after?

I mean, it's more of an "adventure ever after" since there's still very much to deal with, but yes, Kori does get her happily ever after, with Astarion.

92. Where does your Tav end up after defeating/siding with the Nether Brain?

I'm not sure what's meant here. Immediately after defeating the Nether Brain, the answer would be the river, and from there the docks.

In the long run, she'd start travelling with Astarion to search for a cure or some way to fix at least some of his things for/with him like the hunger and the sun. Probably make a stop at her family (which lives within Baldur's Gate) before they'd head out, to have a chance to like say goodbye because she'd have no idea how long it'll take until perhaps someday they'd return.

93. What do you think happens to the party, afterwards? Do they go for drinks? Do they go their separate ways?

So yes I have to start at the docks scene, because that scene is haunting me and I hate that there's no option to. When Astarion needs to run from the sun, at the very least Kori would go after him - I like to think the whole group would. They find (or catch up to) him in the shadow of some crates, and immediately gather around (maybe a bit in the distance if he says so, because he might not want anyone to see the wounds or him up close especially not Kori) and make the area as comfortable as possible. Probably try to heal him too, but I think I before read that healing isn't supposed to work on vampires, so I assume without the tadpole on him neither? When that doesn't work Kori would absolutely insist - or at the very least firmly offer a few times to try to get him to accept it - that he'd take her blood, and as much as she can give too to try to heal his burns faster or at the very least make it less painful. If he does agree and take as much as she would be willing to give (so like, basically everything and just leave herself with just enough to not quite lose consciousness), Kori would be rather weak and a little dizzy and dazed for the rest of the time of waiting it out there, but she wouldn't mind because she did it for good reason and there isn't likely any trouble to still come to them right this moment after all.

They'd like all - excluding those that leave for reasons, like Lae'zel and Wyll and Karlach - stay around and just have like a little "celebration" of sorts there already (without like a lot of options because they can only use what they carry with them or maybe one of them runs off to get idk some drinks or something) because what else to do with the time while waiting for it to get dark, and then maybe still do a little more, like go for a drink or stuff, once they move to like the Elfsong or maybe some other place. But yes, I think they would all stick around, because no matter if that close or not, everyone is friends at that point, and that would mean they wouldn't just leave him alone to hide in the shadows to wait it out.

94. Years after the game, what do you think your Tav is up to?

Assuming there is no easy cure or way to get rid of things for him, she'd still be travelling with Astarion. Depending on if they found a way for him to be in the sun yet, she'd have adapted to a mostly nightly lifestyle and only very rarely still went out when it's day to like do things that need to be done during the day (like shops that only have open during day) or maybe every now and then to catch a little bit of sun herself (but she'd always feel bad about doing that bc he can't).

If they at that point would have found a cure or fix, they'd probably be travelling to like see places - and, if by then he's alive again (would he want to be, idk, I haven't thought that far yet), try food from "all around the world" too - for a while before actually settling down.

In the end, I do imagine at some point they'd probably settle in Baldur's Gate because it's both of their home and all the memories and stuff. Maybe in a repurposed Szarr Palace (I mentioned that in some post before what I think they'd make with it) maybe in a different little home, idk yet.

95. What do you think of your Tav's development throughout the game? If you compared them to who they were at the start, what would be different?

She's a decent amount more confident in herself after the game. She would very much not want to go back to sitting in her house just to eventually take up the business of her family, she wants to go out and see things and help people and experience everything. Of course she has more experience in fighting, and she's less hesitating in reaching out to people and making friends.

• Companions

96. Does Lae'Zel remain loyal to Vlaakith, or does she follow Orpheus? Or neither?

Orpheus - basically follow the story, idk what else to say.

97. Does Astarion kill Cazador? Does he remain a vampire spawn or does he complete the ritual?

Yes, they definitely killed the bastard, and along their journey of looking for a cure or things to at least fix like the sun and the hunger, they'd probably be on the lookout for other vampires (as in, lords) and very much at least consider taking those out too to help other spawns be free. I think it's probably obvious from how often I mentioned the sun, but he stays a spawn.

98. What does Gale want? The crown for himself? For Mystra? Or has he given up on chasing power?

He has given up on chasing power, but it'd also be wrong to leave the crown in the river (at least, from how I understood it, that's what that option was? And like, if it's just, maybe scattered into pieces, but somewhere in the river, that's like way too easy for someone next with bad intentions to go and get it back), so the crown is returned to Mystra.

99. Did Wyll get freed from Mizora? Did he save his father?

Yes to both. It was a painful decision to choose his freedom over getting clues from Mizora where or how to save his father, but when they actually found him in the Iron Throne then afterwards that was a great relief and wonderful.

100. Did Karlach get upgraded? Did she turn Illithid? Did she return to Avernus? If so, did Tav join her, or Wyll, or both?

Yes to the upgrades, no to turning Illithid. Yes, she went to Avernus with Wyll.

101. Did your Tav recruit Minsc? What's their opinion of him?

Minsc is amazing. He's strong, he's wonderful, and he's funny (sometimes not intended by him most likely), and Kori is glad that they encountered and got to work together with him.

102. Did Shadowheart turn to Selûne or did she remain loyal to Shar? Did she free her parents or let them go?

Wasn't it like, she chose to be "neutral" kinda? She did let her parents go and did certainly not remain loyal to Shar, but I'm pretty sure to recall it was that she said something along the lines of not directly jumping into another religion.

103. Did Tav help Jaheira with the Harpers?

Not sure what moment exactly is meant here, but, Jaheira was a part of the group and Kori values her a lot, so she definitely did help her as much as she could, yes.

104. Who did your Tav romance? How did this romance develop throughout the game? What happened at the end?

Astarion.

I wrote a few snippets here about situations with them, but it is mostly going like it is in game. At the start, Kori is probably the perfect target. Sweet, kind, trusting, naive, she's like instantly gone for him, even if she's doing a bunch of things he wouldn't exactly be doing like that. She keeps being warm and friendly and trusting and just so sweet and foolish and he eventually realizes it's more than just a simple plan (like I said, basically how it goes in game), and then confesses his plan to her. Kori is stunned, shocked, and a bit hurt too, but she doesn't even need time or anything, she's like, immediately hugging him and assuring him that it's fine and that she still wants to be with him if he wants to - and that probably only confuses him even more. They spend a lot of time intimately without that type of intimacy both before and after that confession (see the writing snippet I have about her convincing him to sleep). And idk what else to say, she continued trying to talk him out of the idea of ascension - softly, gently - whenever it got brought up, and then within the palace, she's incredibly relieved when he decides not to do it. It's heartbreaking to watch the scene, and she would have wanted to rush to his side immediately, but she also didn't want to disturb his chance to let out the emotions, so she'd wait until he got up and then quickly get over to him. There's probably a lot of, idk how to call it, aftercare? afterwards with her just being there silently and offering help but not enforcing it, like just being silently at his side and holding her hand slightly towards him for if he'd want to take it, or idk get him clothes and supplies for a bath afterwards but not reach in unless he actually shows or voices that he wants her to stay and help. (I read some really nice fics about this situation before, at some point I might write my own thing of this even though I feel like I can never quite catch the feelings enough for something so emotional/fluffy)

105. Anything you want to say about your Tav! Give a random headcanon, answer a random question, say whatever you want!

Mm... not really. Her group didn't use a single tadpole - when Astarion said he wanted to, Kori didn't mind and said he's free to, but he never actually did. And she wouldn't have wanted to try because the risk was just too big that it would be something bad. They did this whole journey to get rid of the tadpoles, after all, so getting even more into her felt very much counter intuitive. She's wild magic and I imagine it caused so much chaos during their journey. That's all I can think of to say.
