I like the concept of American hybrid yokai, like a tanuki-raccoon or kit fox-kitsune or pine marten-kamitachi mix. As someone more familiar with east coast wildlife do you have any suggestions for “weird little beasts that torment the neighborhood at night”

So there is an actual running joke in the later part of AIEWAM that a Tanuki and a Raccoon are very much not the same thing (Tanuki are extremely closely related to foxes), and while one is a fun-loving guy with a penchant for alcohol and testicular humor, the other one is a sleeby shithead who will rob you at knife-point.

I am more familiar with western us animals bc I'm from CA and CO, but I have a broad idea of what lives back east. IDK enough about Japanese mythological critters to be able to match up things exactly, but I'd be stunned if there were not:

Hybrid animals like woppeltingers and jackalopes. Or messed up hares in general.

Pretty sure some Bakaneko lore maps directly onto cougar behavior

Tsukinoko REAL and it's a fat old diamondback rattler.

Does Japan have messed up horses? Everyone has a messed up horses. We should start a breeding program for The Worst Possible Horse. We can start with the Mustain't.

[Yōkai AU] Fiend & Menace

(The Kitsune no Mado, or "Fox Window", is a Japanese hand technique believed to reveal hidden Yōkai through your fingers as with above.

It's comparable to the Celtic hag-stone or adder stone, a stone found in riverbeds with a naturally formed hole which can reveal witches or faeries through it.)

Either wae, here's @cosmica-galaxy's Fiend and Menace! They're apart of my Yōkai AU, very much based/inspired on @twstedforyou's own original Yōkai Twisted Wonderland AU.

For those who don't know what Yōkai are, "Yōkai are a class of supernatural entities and spirits in Japanese folklore."

They can range from your classic demon, in this case Oni, to objects gained spirit and sentience such as Kasa-Obake, a friendly and playful one eyed, one legged sentient umbrella.

So now that that's outta the way...

[Yōkai AU Lore]:

꧁ღ⊱ | Oni!Fiend |

Fiend is an Oni, a kind of yōkai, demon, orc, ogre, or troll in Japanese folklore. They're known to be big, terrifying and having great strength. They're also known for their violent and short temperaments with a hunger for humans and alcohol.

In this AU, since people are pretty much wiped out, skibidi's are the suitable replacement. While not as fun as human prey at times, there's something a bit more satisfying playing with them. (The answer is abundance and the fact no one cares about them. He can be as sadistic and cruel as long as he wants with his food, something he couldn't with humans to avoid getting caught with his pants down so to speak.)

Fiend is a young Oni, reflecting his canon self being a Gen 0 mimic born after the fall of humanity, but he's still quite older than a century at least.

Due to his experience and the fact that the Yōkai District is quite traditional, he's a bit different. A tad wiser and more eloquent in his words for one. Not that he chooses to be, preferring to be a bastard most times. He's still the tsundere little shit who gets turned on when you make the battlefield red with the blood of your enemies.

Due to his heritage, he's quite the alcoholic. Because of that, he's also quite a bit more aggressive with skibidis because there's just some types of alcohol exclusive to the human realm that isn't made or sold in his District.

In this AU, Yōkai can shift forms to disguise themselves as the most dominant species in the human realm via shapeshifting or illusions. For some more humanoid Yōkai like Yuuki-Onna, it shows in their true forms. The believability of a Yōkai's disguise vary between Yōkai and those with skills more inclined to disguise like Tanuki and Kitsune are better at it than most. Fiend has an unusual competence in the art for Oni, Yōkai known to be quite dog shit at their disguises, especially for one as young as him.

With his surprising competence in illusions and Menace being too young to create his own disguise, Fiend extends his own over Menace until he can learn for himself. It also means when his transformation goes, so does the tuggle's.

Before the War, Yōkai had the option of either human or mimic guises but considering mimics themselves mimicked humans, it was mostly human disguises. Now though, the option is either Alliance members or mimics who mimicked them. Fiend in particular chose the mimic option because it gave him more freedoms so to speak. Disguising himself as an Alliance member would've burden him with the role of acting like one which, as apart of a military operation, is a heavy one to play.

Fiend spent most of his time in the human realm. When the fall of humanity came, he was mostly wandering and hunting alone and only rarely going back into his District when bored. Despite the solitude of the empty cities, not even he knew why he stayed in the wasteland as a TV mimic as he did. At least, not until he met you.

In this AU, his meeting with you was much like his canon self. He decided you were interesting at first and pretty much stalked you. Though, he was much more… open, so to say, with his less than mortal nature. He didn't necessarily show off he was of an Other nature but he didn't necessarily bother with blending in too much. Humans are pretty much dead and gone and he only kept a thin veneer up for the Alliance to not get up all over his ass after all.

Let's just say it was quite a surprise when he confronted you for the first time and found out you were his beloved Master all along. (He did not let go for the next week, still closely shadowing you for the rest of the month after. Your presence— no, your existence is simply too much— too intoxicating— for him to simply ignore and leave be.)

Bonus! He'd never admit it but sometimes, he'd head over to his District and find baubles for you that he makes seem like they're old belongings he'd never touched and left to dust. He's always terribly smug when you like it and gloats it over the others with a smirk.

Menace is also an Oni, a very young one

He's pretty much canon Menace but more of a little shit with a nasty temper when really angry

Though, instead of the whole 'parents dying leaving bby orphaned', its more he was orphaned at birth

Unless a hybrid of sorts, Oni are traditionally born from the death of a horrible human's spirit which is why Oni, at their base nature, are cruel and violent. By using the dead spirit of a horrible human to bring them into existence, they're bound to take bits of the violent and cruel parts that make up said spirit. Luckily for Fiend and you, it's something that could be taught to be managed but anger is always something present that'll have to be managed for the rest of his life.

Despite being essentially a toddler, he still has the absurd strength Oni are known to have. He can easily carry you with no problem which is a bit troubling considering he likes get mischievous. Often with Byte at that...

He's also a a bit of a nipper considering human flesh is apart of the natural diet of Oni. He knows better than to harm, Spirits forbid consider you prey and eat you. Adopted Papa Fiend is hovering over his back with a critical eye after all.

Bonus! Menace, underestimating his own strength and your human constitution, had accidentally thrown you once. Luckily, it was at Fiend. Unluckily, it was at Fiend. Possessive shit extraordinaire. (Yōkai won't let any slight against their Master stand, kid or not. Someone boutta get their little ass cooked.)

sd gundam gaiden's shrine maiden miorine is really interesting. as this is an au, there's a lot that's different from the anime of course. but her character has some really cool and intriguing changes.

disclaimer: i'm using mtl (google lens) to understand this au so i might not be 100% correct. and before you ask, i don't have scans of the booklet. a kind soul just sent me pics of it m(_ _)m.

i'm not sure if you need to buy an entire box to get one but the cards come with a booklet that has all the info about the setting, the characters, and the story. this au's premise is pretty much similar to the anime. vanadis in this setting was a village where the people worshipped a dragon god. "gund" is the power of the dragon god and gund tech is the "gund gems" the villagers made which use that dragon power to enhance one's strength. delling of course didn't like this, he declared the dragon god to be a sham and ordered an attack on the dragon village. the survivors and their children escaped into a forest where they would hide and eventually reside. years later, it's now protected by the summoner prospera and is where suletta, miorine, and other earth house characters live.

in the booklet, it's said that miorine, as the village's shrine maiden, is the bridge between the "dragon god" and humans. she protects the village from evil? magic and is in charge of the agriculture. miorine also has a... baby dragon??? hiding in her bosom???? she really saw the utena sword and said i could do you one better lol. i'm so curious if the baby dragon is another aerial or calibarn.

this role is probably a callback to her being the ceo of gund-arm but it feels like she's much more closely associated to vanadis in this setting. she could connect to the dragon god?? and hides a dragon in her??? but that's not all...

delling in this setting is the chief of the benerit tribe. in his description, it's said that he has no successor, so he will choose the next chief from the three major factions... there's also this line from michaelis which further suggests miorine is not with benerit and delling in this au. i'm just not sure if this line meant surprise at the fact there is still a shrine maiden for vanadis' dragon god or that miorine is still alive. it might be the former.

so i'm thinking it's possible that it's not publicly known (or maybe only a handful know) that miorine is delling's daughter, or that he even has one. she probably got separated from delling very early in the timeline and was raised in the dragon village. maybe it was notrette who ran away and took miorine with her??? we'll see if there's anything to explain these in the next edition.

but yeah i thought the shrine maiden role, being so closely tied to vanadis/gund was really interesting. while the shrine maiden is an important role in this story, i like that miorine being pretty weak is still a thing in this LMAO. because as you can see on her card, she has very low MP. but the tomatoes she grows, which are an item card, are imbued with power and i reckon that's how she helps mage suletta, her cute tanuki protector (like literally, she was assigned by prospera to protect the shrine maiden).

Added Insults

Changing a form a media like a movie, video game or TV show into another language involves both translation and localization.

Localization involves intentionally changing the content of the game, show or movie, in order to better appeal to the new target market.

In Disney’s “Zootopia,” for example, four different news anchor characters were created and inserted into the movie depending upon the area it was targeted to. While a moose for North America, the character was a Tanuki for the movie’s Japan release, a panda for the China release and a koala for the Australian version of the movie. This happens most often with jokes, as humor can vary wildly from culture to culture. 

In Twisted Wonderland, Vil makes a disparaging joke on the JP server about Leona, asking if he is certain that he is a prince and not actually an egg.

One of the ways that the word “egg” can be written in Japanese looks visually very similar to the kanji for “prince,” so Vil is making a Japanese-language joke, saying that Leona might just get mistaken for a prince by those who do not look closely enough, which follows Vil’s habit of simultaneously complimenting Leona’s appearance while insulting everything else about him. And this is impossible to translate into the English language.

To get around it, the English-language adaption of the game rewrote Vil’s dialogue for a joke about jesters. And this is perfect localization.

If you have ever wondered, “Why was this dialogue changed so completely from what the character originally said?,” often times the answer will be, “For you, because the producers thought that you would enjoy this version more than the original.”

There have also been insults introduced to the English-language version of Twisted Wonderland. This is possibly because, in Japanese, rudeness is often portrayed via verb forms, personal pronouns and honorifics (or lack thereof). As this cannot be portrayed in English, the English-language adaptation often chooses to add name calling, instead.

The prefect, for example, originally does not call Grim a jerk. They merely say that he talks loudly in his sleep.

Ace, originally, does not call Grim a sentient pile of lint. 

Ace, originally, does not call Riddle a numbskull. 

 Cater never calls Trey “mom,” and does not accuse him of nagging.

Cater also never calls Trey a nerd.

Trey never comments about boa feathers to Vil.

Jade does not say, “Silly ghost.”

Leona does not call Malleus a recluse.

Leona does not call the fairies stupid.

Leona does not ask if he needs to spell out a situation in crayon.

Leona does not call Ace and Riddle, “freaks.”

Leona does not tell Silver to come back once he wakes up, or better yet, don’t.

Ruggie does not call Jack a “protein-addled muscle freak” who nips at his heels and begs for advice.

Jack does not call Deuce a chicken.

Rook does not use the feminine form of the French word “idiot” to insult Leona.

Lilia does not make a comment about Vil’s “pretty little head.”

Why ARK: Survival Evolved would be an amazing addition to Dead By Daylight

What IS ARK: Survival Evolved? ARK is a survival game where you tame dinosaurs and mythological/fictional creatures! That's not all you can do, but that's the main gimmick. The game features an awesome soundtrack, by the amazing Gareth Coker, amazing bosses and an amazing antagonist. The game also has some really great lore, that I'd recommend watching Neddy the Noodle's videos on. [Lore Videos and ARK: The Survival Stories [the lore from the Island to Aberration]]

But that's not horror!! Okay, and? Lara Croft, Nicholas Cage, and Dungeons and Dragons are in the game, so what's wrong with a survival game that has some horror elements in it?

Who's the killer gonna be? Edmund Rockwell, of course; he's the main antagonist, I'd say, of the game; more or so becoming a threat to the player in the third, fifth and sixth story-DLC. Think of him in a similar way to Vecna, arrogant, thinks EXTREMELY highly of himself [he literally calls himself a GOD], and he's an intelligent, fun antagonist! He's a British chemist from the 19th century turned giant tentacle-meat-monster. Obviously, we can't just have a gigantic monster with tentacles as the killer, but, the Entity would take him from Aberration, after he's defeated by the player, and give him a body that's better suited for the trials. Kind of like how the Entity gave Chucky the ghost so he could actually hook people. [An added note, he would have voice lines <3] And if this was a skin collaboration, he'd be a legendary for Blight. They suit each other. And there'd be voice lines and a different Mori.

Why would Rockwell even want to join the Fog? Power. Same reason as Vecna. Edmund is a man driven by power, and science. Think about why Wesker is in the Fog; he would join for similar reasons.

Power? I feel like a biological power would be pretty cool, something close to Singularity or Wesker. I'm not too good when thinking about powers and balancing it for the game, but maybe even something to do with his orbs in the Aberration bossfight, which would act similarly to the Unknown's UVX.

Perks? I am not a perk designer, so I sadly cannot think of perk ideas </3.

Chase Theme? Of-fucking-course it has to be his boss theme! Like, not just the theme outright, but a mix of it. They can do so much with the music, especially if they get Gareth Coker involved!

Who are the Survivors gonna be? Helena Walker, an aboriginal Australian palaeontologist [also canon lesbian], would be perfect; she's smart and resilient. She later becomes a Homo Deus in the game, but she'd be an amazing survivor! [and would obviously be taken from before she became a Homo Deus.] And of course Mei Yin Li, a warrior from the Han Dynasty [she's also a lesbian 💪]. She is perfect survivor material; she's a strong, resilient woman who can very well take care of herself. AND, if this is a skin-only collaboration, Helena would be a great skin for Claudette, I think. I think Claud could use a legendary <3. And Mei Yin Li would be a fantastic legendary for Yui Kimura. [Maybe a Santiago skin for Gabriel?? Hmm??? Give him the TEK armour, too?] [Maybe even a legendary Diana skin for Kate ^^]

Perks? Again, I'm not a perk designer.

Map? OHOHOHO, BOY ARE YOU IN FOR A TREAT! Since I want everyone to be taken from the Aberration map, obviously the map should be Aberration! Maybe the Green zone is the actual map and the main building could be the destroyed TEK city! It'd be great, atmospherically, and maybe there could be some creatures around that can be interacted with in a similar way to the Tanuki and the creature in the Dungeon on the D&D map [like light pets chilling around]! The realm would be called something like "The ARK", or "The Broken ARK", and some other areas on the map could be the portals and maybe even a little bit of the blue zone? Obviously, the maps are a bit difficult for me to think about, because how would the borders work, lol? Or the exit gates. But then again, you have to think about the fact that the Entity makes these itself. The Entity would be the one recreating the whole map, so there would be tiles that look funny and maybe the fact that there's generators would make this map look "weird", but just think of the possibilities! If Dvarka can be a map, ARK: Aberration can work, too!

They could even make different variations of the map where one is the green zone, one is the blue zone, one is the red zone, and maybe even the surface would be super cool! I also think some cool environmental features would be awesome like in the red zone, you'd hear Reapers growling, see rumbles, and hear Rockwell's voice echoing quietly. And if they do it this way, having the light pets for the specific zones would be awesome.

Are there any skins or charms that would come with the Chapter or Collab? I personally think a cute implant charm would suffice, and if they do the skins thing, it'd be like Resident Evil where the more you buy, the more charms. The first buy would grant you a Gamma Ascension charm, another would be a Beta Ascension charm, and the last would be an Alpha Ascension charm.

I know this is long, and I apologize for the, probably, incoherent rambling, but I'm very passionate about both of these games, and I think that they'd be perfect for each other. ARK has horror in it. It's not a horror game, but Tomb Raider isn't either, so I think ARK should be able to come into the game. I know I was vague with things, like Rockwell's power, but I'm not a game designer, so I am not qualified enough to think of a balanced, fun power to suit him. And, again, I cannot think about what perks to make. I don't know what perks would work by now and I just cannot think of anything good. So, my apologies. I would love to hear your feedback, and maybe even more ideas!

okay so some of you might already know about this but i just happened upon some of the most interesting japanese folklore that i'm so happy to share with anyone and everyone that will listen.

this is a japanese raccoon dog, also known as tanuki. they are pretty much the cutest things ever ever ever and behave like raccoons in the way that they are nocturnal and they eat garbage but they're actually a part of the canidae family which include things like dogs, wolves and foxes whereas raccoons are more closely related to mustelids which include things like badgers, otters and weasels. the animal by itself is very interesting and adorable and fun to learn about, but you know what's better ? you know what's absolutely the best thing about them ? THE FOLKLORE.

bake-danuki is a type of yōkai commonly associated with tanuki. they're known to be mischievous tricksters, and one of their abilities is to shapeshift. there's a saying that goes, "the fox has seven disguises, the tanuki has eight." kitsune are also known to transform and shapeshift, but they're known to shapeshift to tempt people ... tanuki ? they just want to see you look STUPID. like a complete FOOL. their whole deal is just to fuck with you and i think that's hilarious. okay okay but anyway, you wanna hear about the best part ... right ? you wanna hear about the best part right ???

they can shapeshift into people yada yada yada yes that's very cool but their more interesting thing that they're known for ? THEIR GIANT BALLS. they are known to stretch their fucking balls for various reasons.

they've been known to use them as sails for boats, fishing nets, umbrellas, cloaks, etc. it's mostly in art and not talked about in stories as much, but i just think it's the funniest god damn thing. they say that metal workers needed something that could stretch without breaking in order to hammer down gold to make it as thin as possible. apparently, tanuki balls started being sold as wallets and charms, said to stretch your money as it did the gold.

also a fun tidbit that i didn't know was that animal crossing's tom nook is based on tanuki, not a raccoon ! (and tom nook ... tanuki ... ah ...) anyway ! look into tanuki/bake-danuki if you want (i highly suggest it because as funny as it is, it's also just very cool)

Flaming trial kuya theories

Warning for spoilers! And death.

In FT room 1, Eiden is in an improv game and pretends to die via stabbing. Kuya witnesses this, and then there is a giant glitch sound + shaking screen while he has a shocked expression, before the reveal. This is a very similar reaction to when Garu gets his trauma flashbacks.

Some additional context:

Kuya has a breeding kink (Fallen Leaves) and has pretended Eiden is the mother to some random kits (Neon Carnival year 1)

Has a serious gripe about how short lived & dull or annoying humans are. Like he constantly repeats this.

For some reason, he has a lot of thirsty in-universe admirers (Tanuki, random bar patrons, Master of Elysium), he is heavily displeased by them and in the past would burn them (or kill them).

Used to serve Lord of Yokai and was Huey's right hand man, but now no longer likes being subservient to others

Has offered to keep Eiden at his home (Fallen Leaves) and in an illusion (Fancy Capricio/Forest Night) forever

Kuya & Huey were on a boat trip from Saia back to Klein. For some reason, Kuya transformed back into his yokai form, the ship burned down, and we have no information on Huey's wereabouts after that.

Not officially canon, but Quincy & Kuya have divorced vibes. Also, Quincy & Kuya are the only surviving biological OG clan members. I'm not counting Blade since he's manmade and does not have a lifespan/cannot die by biological means.

It's pretty established by now that Kuya is suicidal & depressed

Preexisting theories:

I forgot how it started, but its been a theory for a while that at some point when Kuya was a fox, he had a mate/family with kits, but they're no longer alive.

It's also been theorized Kuya (when human formed) also had (a) human lover(s), that also died.

Possible additional theories I haven't seen yet:

He had a mate/lover/family killed via stabbing, hence his reaction to Eiden's improv death and frequent displeasure towards human lifespans. And never got over that grief.

He had a mate/lover that he had a direct involvement with their death, though not necessarily via stabbing. Possible suicidal ideation & depression due to guilt and everything that comes with it.

He might have witnessed Huey's disappearance/death on that boat or been the one to cause his disappearance/death.

Other OG clan members that must have died or we wouldn't have several other generations of clan members, and we know some of them were humans since Dante, Olivine, Edmond are human (and Rei has human family). Huey didn't have sex with his clan members, so they all must have had sex with each other for essence regulation (including Quincy). Perhaps he was close with some of them and witnessed their deaths.

Great Serpent was an OG clan member and he did have a human lover that died. Perhaps Kuya witnessed that whole thing go down too.

Thoughts/anyone else got other ideas?

Who’s ready for a little rant?

Alright so… I’ve been working on a fic for anon with a male reader. It’s going smoothly. But in his request (it’s sort of a reactions head cannon) he included Kenta. Lord I love that man.

But Male reader… was definitely something I wanted to explore. So I wanted this M!Reader to be in depth (because I read into things too much) and concluded he needed to be especially close with Kenta.

Childhood besties wasn’t appealing to me, and I could only think of one solution. (Y/N) was going to be a 2nd Affiliate Executive. So that sent me on a surfing/researching journey across the internet about Noh Masks.

Because obviously Reader had to fit in with the rest of the 2nd Affiliate. And he totally needed a mask.

But…

All the “good” masks were already taken. 😩

Or all the common ones at least. So I started digging through Japanese lore in an attempt to find some sort of creature worthy of a decent-looking Noh Mask.

Eventually, I found the perfect candidate. The Tanuki. (I knew about Tanukis already… but it took me a hot minute to even consider them.)

They’re cute. They’ve served a role in traditional Japanese storytelling. AND- their Noh Mask-

Has a cute and a more aesthetically fitting version of the mask.

(The second one fits the 2nd Affiliate vibe more, but there are OPTIONS.)

And so I was very pleased! I was pretty certain (Y/N) would look hot as hell as the Executive “Tanuki.”

And then I started doing further research…

And it really sent me. I mean… imagine if the reason (Y/N) was the Tanuki wasn’t just because or appearance or personality or anything…

What if he shared that one fascinating trait Tanuki’s are famous for in Japanese Lore…?

Their…. Amazing balls. No joke. I’m having cultural shock or something. I didn’t- need to know about this…

But it’d be pretty damn funny if the 2nd Affiliate did. It would be great if (Y/N) did….

September came and trees' leaves started to turn orange, yellow, or even bright red, depending on the tree. You and Kyojuro had been planning your wedding for a week now and you never expected a wedding to be so hard to plan.

You had begged Kyojuro to not get a job until you were married because you appreciated his help and opinion when it came to deciding something for your wedding.

You were both taking a break from planning and enjoying some tea and cookies when Senjuro came back from school. He called his usual, "I'm home!" as he took off his shoes and he joined you and Kyojuro in the kitchen.

"Hi Senjuro," You greeted the young Kitsune, "How was school?"

"Good." He nodded as he took a seat and reached for a cookie, "I was wondering if my friends could come visit us tomorrow?"

"Your friends?" You and Kyojuro glanced at each other and Senjuro bit his cookie, "We have an exam coming and we would like to keep a study group at one of our places. I offered to ask if I could host the group for the first time?"

"Of course!" You smiled happily, "Can I offer you guys treats?"

"If you want to, but you don't have to!" Senjuro smiled and you felt your heart almost burst in your chest as you clapped your hands, "Then it's settled! I will prepare you guys something to eat so you can focus on your studies!"

"Really?" The young fox smiled, "Is this okay with you big brother?"

"Hm!" Kyojuro nodded proudly, "I'm happy to see my dear brother and bride doing their best!"

"Then it's settled! What time will you come tomorrow?" You asked and Senjuro reached for another cookie, "School ends at 2pm so we are here maybe half past two?"

"Alright, I'll make sure that you guys aren't missing anything!" You said and you meant it. You were honestly so happy when you heard that Senjuro had managed to make friends so soon and you wanted to make a good impression on them for Senjuro's sake!

So when the next day came and Senjuro was walking back home with his friends, the said friends gasped when they saw the huge house he was living in.

"You live here?" A young man with dark hair asked as he and his friends took in Senjuro's home.

"What, is your family rich or something!?" A young man wearing a boar's head asked this blond man scowled, "C'mon Inosuke, a house doesn't define a person."

"I don't mind." Senjuro smiled a little shyly as he and his friends entered the house.

"I'm home and I brought my friends!" The young Kitsune called and the boys heard footsteps as you rushed to greet them from the kitchen.

"Welcome welcome!" You greeted them happily, "You must be Senjuro's friends! It's so nice to meet you all!"

"Good day, ma'am!" The young man with dark hair, round ears, and a raccoon's tail greeted you with a bright smile, "My name is Tanjiro Kamado! I'm Senjuro's friend and as you can see, I am a Tanuki!"

"I'm called Inosuke Hashibira! King of the Mountain!" This young man with a boar's head over his declared proudly.

"My name is Zenitsu Agatsuma and I'm a Nezumimi!" A blond boy with a mouse's ears and tail greeted you and smiled, "You're very pretty!"

"Aww, thank you!" You smiled happily, "Would you boys want some snacks?"

"Yes please, big sis." Senjuro smiled, "We'll go to my room to study."

"I'll bring the snacks soon!" You smiled as the boys made their way upstairs to Senjuro's room which was the house's biggest bedroom. The boys took in Senjuro's huge room as the shy boy closed the door, "Make yourself comfortable guys."

"Whoa, you have a Nintendo Switch and Playstation 5?" Inosuke immediately went to see the consoles and Senjuro smiled, "We can play later if you want to?"

"Awesome!" While Inosuke took in the impressive collection of games, the mouse boy turned to look at the fox boy.

"Oi! Oi oi oi!" Zenitsu grabbed Senjuro, "You didn't tell me your host family is a total beauty!"

"W- what?" The fox blinked and the mouse was on the verge of tears, "You get to live with a beauty like her?! How is that fair!?"

"Calm down Zenitsu!" Tanjiro said, "You enjoy living with Grandpa Jigoro, don't you?"

"I do love living with Grams, but it's not fair…!" The blond young man cried out and Senjuro gently patted his back, "Don't worry Zenitsu! She is my big sis only and she is engaged to my older brother."

"That doesn't make me feel better-!"

Suddenly there was a knock on the door and you called, "Boys? Is everything okay? I brought snacks!"

"Coming!" Senjuro quickly went to open the door and it was a good thing he did that because you were carrying a huge tray filled with food, such as both grilled cheese and grilled ham sandwiches, apple slices, and chocolate. Your fiance followed behind you, two huge bottles of soda under one arm and one holding a bowl of potato chips.

"Greetings boys!" Kyojuro greeted his little brother's friends as he put the soda bottles down, followed by the bowl, "I'm Senjuro's older brother Kyojuro! Thank you all for being my brother's friends!"

"Brother!" Senjuro blushed, but Tanjiro smiled, "You don't need to thank us! We all like Senjuro very much! He is really kind and we are happy to be his friends!"

"Hm!" The older fox nodded, "Hearing that makes me happy!"

"We will leave you boys to study." You smiled as you put the tray of food on the bed and you and Kyojuro let the boys be. As you were making your way downstairs, you smiled.

"Did you hear? Me?" You blushed as a smile rose to your face, "Me a beauty?"

"I always call you beautiful!" Kyojuro exclaimed.

"I know, but-!" You covered your smile with your hand and turned to look at your fiance, "Are you jealous?"

"No!"

"You are!"

"Nope, I'm not!

"Why?" You asked and he smiled as he gently held your face and kissed your forehead, "Because I know you love me as much as I love you and I love you and you only."

"Aww," You smiled as you placed your hands over his and moved them so you could kiss his knuckles, "It's healthy to be a little jealous, you know that right?"

"I do." He kissed your forehead again, "But I also know that you are loyal to me so I don't have a reason to be jealous."

"You sweet talker," You grinned, "Wanna help me make some cake?"

"Yes, my beloved Hime!"

While Senjuro was upstairs studying and enjoying treats with his friends, you and Kyojuro focused on making a simple strawberry and cream cake. You hadn't baked that in ages, not since you moved in together with the Kitsune brothers and strawberries happened to be on sale the last day when you had visited the store to buy stuff for Senjuro's study group.

The cake was easy oven tray cake and easy to make and while it was in the oven, you whipped cream and let Kyojuro cut strawberries. Once the cake was done, you let it cool down so the whipped cream wouldn't melt as soon as you would put it on. So while it cooled, you and Kyojuro thought about your wedding a little.

Half an hour later, the cake was cool enough for the cream and you absolutely smothered it with cream and strawberry slices. It wasn't the prettiest cake but it tasted so good when you one bite as a test and you moaned out loud.

"This is so good…!" You smiled and Kyojuro nodded, "Everything you make is good!"

"Should I make some tea and coffee and ask boys to join us?"

"I think that sounds marvelous!"

"Okay, just a second!" You put the electric kettle and coffee maker on and went upstairs to get the boys.

"Boys?" You knocked on Senjuro's room door. "May I come in?"

"Yes!" You heard Senjuro call and you peeked inside and saw that they all had their textbooks and notebooks out as they studied. Over half of the treats you had brought had been eaten and you blinked as you saw this beautiful young man sitting there. Who was he and where did he come from?

"Oh, who is this handsome young man?"

"It's Inosuke," Tanjiro replied helpfully.

"I see!" You nodded as you noticed the boar's head resting next to him.

"I'm sorry to disturb you, but when you want to, would you like to come downstairs for some cake, tea, and coffee?"

"Cake!" Inosuke cheered and the boys looked at their friend.

"Oi, you ate most of the sandwiches, how can you still eat?" Zenitsu asked but Inosuke had made up his mind and he was eager for some cake.

Senjuro smiled as he looked at you, "We will come there in a second. Thank you, big sis."

"No worries!" You smiled and closed the door as you made your way downstairs and just in time as the electric kettle and coffee maker were done.

You put the cups on the table and cut generous pieces of the cake on plates that you put on the table next to the cups. Kyojuro took a seat at the head of the table and you smiled as you placed a huge piece of cake in front of him.

"Thank you, my beloved bride!" He thanked you but you gave him a look, "You're welcome, but wait until boys get here."

"I will!" He nodded and soon enough the boys joined you guys in the kitchen.

"Thank you for inviting us for cake," Tanjiro thanked you and you had a feeling that he was the polite one in the group. You smiled, "It's no problem! Please, enjoy some cake and tea or coffee if you like?"

The boys nodded as they poured themselves some tea and you noticed that no one took coffee, so you poured yourself some so it wouldn't be wasted. You watched them take their first bites of the cake and you absolutely beamed in joy as you watched their eyes widen after one bite.

"TASTY!" Kyojuro shouted, followed by Inosuke shouting, "SWEET!"

"It's so good!" Senjuro grinned.

"I wish my future wife could bake this well…!" Zenitsu smiled happily as he took another bite of the cake.

"It's really good cake!" Tanjiro said with a smile before looking at you, "Could I possibly get a recipe for this?"

"Of course!" You were so happy they liked your simple cake. Tanjiro smiled, "Thank you! I think my little sister and host father would love this also!"

"Oh yes, you guys are in extraspecies program also?" You asked and the boys nodded, "Yes, I live with a Tengu called Urokodaki. He is taking care of me and my little sister Nezuko."

"How nice!" You grinned, "If you ever want, your sister is welcome here also."

"Thank you!"

"I live with Grandpa Jigoro. He…" Zenitsu smiled a little, "I love him. He took me in when others wouldn't and I owe everything to him."

"Aww…!" You smiled happily, "I'm glad you have someone so important in your life. We all need someone like that."

You were about to ask, when suddenly Inosuke exclaimed, "More cake!" before shoving his empty plate at you. You blinked in mild surprise but smiled, accepting this plate, and went to fill it.

"How about you Inosuke?" You asked as you gave him the full plate back and he barely spoke as he started to stuff his face full of your cake. "I live with old grandma Hisa! She is a good cook!"

"I see," You nodded and your confusion must have been clear on your face because Senjuro smiled and replied, "Inosuke is a human."

"Ooh, I see!" You nodded harder this time as suddenly it made more sense to you. You noticed movement from the corner of your eye and turned to see Kyojuro offering his empty plate to you, "May I have more, my Hime?"

"You ate it?" You blinked in shock, "But you were quiet?"

"I'm sorry big sis, but I used my magic a little," Senjuro admitted and you nodded, understanding and taking the empty plate, "Okay, a second round of cake coming right up! Who else wants more?"

Senjuro, Tanjiro, and Zenitsu raised their hands and you smiled as you filled their plates and as they ate, you listened to them tell you about their lives and such.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door and you blinked, a little confused about who it could be. You glanced at Senjuro, "Are we expecting someone else?"

The young fox shook his head and you got up and went to answer the door to your shock, you were greeted by this smaller older man with a wooden cane, a white mustache, and a scar on his cheekbone… And he was missing a right leg.

"Hello?" You blinked and the man smiled, "Why, hello there young lady. I heard my son is here for a study session?"

"Son?" Now you were confused, but the man smiled, "A little mouse boy called Zenitsu. I'm his host family Kuwajima."

"Ooh, you must be Grandpa Jigoro!" You smiled, "Zenitsu was just talking about you!"

"I see!" He nodded, "Bad I assume?"

"Not at all." You looked over your shoulder, "Zenitsu! Your grandpa is here!"

"Gramps!?" You heard and the mouse boy came to the door in record time, "What are you doing here?!"

"I'm making sure you don't bother this young lady!" The older man snapped and you shook your head, "Please, you have no reason to be worried. Zenitsu is an absolute delight to have around!"

"I see, I see." Jigoro nodded, "Well, I think I'll take my leave then. I was just passing by."

You had a feeling that was a lie and that he honestly wanted to check up on his foster child.

"Remember to come home on time Zenitsu!"

"I will, I will!" The blond boy nodded and you felt your heart break as you watched Grandpa turn and leave, and you-!

"Grandpa Jigoro, wait!" You called and the old man turned to look at you in confusion, "We were just enjoying some cake, tea, and coffee! Would you like to join us?"

"What!?" Zenitsu gasped and his guardian shook his head, "Oh, I don't want to be a bother-!"

"Not at all!" You rushed out and gently helped the older man inside, treating him like he was made out of the finest porcelain. You helped him to take off his shoe and then escorted him to the kitchen living room area where everyone was enjoying cake by the table. Zenitsu took his seat while you helped his host.

"Please, sit here." You pulled your chair for Grandpa and he took a seat, "Thank you, you're a very kind young lady."

"Thank you," You smiled happily, "Would you like some green tea or coffee?"

"Tea would be marvelous, dear." He smiled and you nodded, immediately preparing a perfect cup of tea for the old man, "Would you like some cake also?"

"I would love some."

"Coming right up!" You rushed to get a new plate and meanwhile, Grandpa Jigoro took in Kyojuro's and Senjuro's fox ears and tails, "My, Kitsunes here? What a lucky omen."

"Thank you, sir!" Both brothers thanked the man who smiled as he glanced at the older fox, "Taken by the ring on the young lady's finger, you must be the one engaged to her?"

"Yes, sir!" Kyojuro nodded and Grandpa was about to say something but then you returned, "What are you guys talking about?"

"Oh, nothing dear, don't worry." Jigoro smiled and you nodded as you placed a cup of tea in front of him and an absolutely huge piece of cake before him. "Please, Grandpa! Have some cake!"

"Tea and cake?" He chuckled, "My, you're just the sweetest young lady!"

"Please, it's my pleasure!" You were absolutely beaming with joy and others could see it also.

"May I get another piece also, my beloved?" Kyojuro asked as he held his empty plate and you nodded, "Of course! Would someone else take more cake also?"

Senjuro, Zenitsu, and Tanjiro shook their heads and politely turned down your offer.

"Me!" Inosuke exclaimed and you took his empty plate also and skipped happily to the kitchen to fill the plates. While you were gone, Jigoro looked at the older fox, "You're a smart young Yokai, I can tell. Treat her well."

"Hm!" Kyojuro nodded, "I will!"

"What?" You called as you came back with cake and gave your fiance and Inosuke their pieces.

"I was just telling this fiance of yours what a kind young lady you are!" Grandpa said and you got even happier if that was even possible, "Thank you, Grandpa, it means a lot to hear that from someone as wise as you!"

"I have no doubt in mind that you will make a great wife for this young man!"

"Hm!" Kyojuro smiled, "She is perfect, isn't she?"

"Yes," The old man nodded before glaring at his foster son, "Zenitsu! Make sure to find a wife as good as her!"

"I'm trying!" The mouse boy cried out and Senjuro and Tanjiro laughed a little as they tried to cheer up their friend.

You all started to talk about random topics as you enjoyed your tea, coffee, and cake. You were all having such a good time that you all missed how quickly the cake and time went. As the Fall came so did the darkness. Before any of you knew it was time for the boys to head back home so they wouldn't worry their families.

"Thank you so much for the snacks and cake!" Tanjiro thanked you as he was putting his shoes back on. You smiled, "Thank you for visiting! I'm happy that Senjuro has friends like you boys."

"Can we come over some another time also?" The young Tanuki asked and you nodded as you glanced at the young fox standing by your side, "If Senjuro is alright with it?"

"I would love it! Next time we could play my video games?" He asked and Inosuke who put the boar's head back on nodded, "I want to play soon too!"

"Me too…!" Zenitsu whined as he helped Grandpa Jigoro to get his shoe on.

"Stop your whining Zenitsu! I'm sure you are welcome back here also!"

"I know, but I'm worried how you will manage without me around!" The mouse boy cried out and the older man smiled as a soft blush rose to his cheeks," Ah, what a good boy."

"You're all welcome back here." You said with a happy smile and Kyojuro nodded beside you, "Hm! All my brother's friends are always welcome!"

"Thank you for the tea and cake. They were absolutely delicious," Grandpa Jigoro nodded before looking at your fiance, "Treat her well, boy. She has a heart made out of gold."

"Aww, thank you!" You smiled happily, flattered to hear such pretty things being said about you.

"Hm!" Kyojuro smiled, "I will!"

The three of you bid farewell to your guests and after they left you went to clean the dishes and such into the dishwasher. Senjuro was the first to take a bath as he still wanted to go through some of his notes before bedtime so you and Kyojuro relaxed on the couch.

"I'm so happy for Senjuro for gaining such kind friends!" You said and Kyojuro nodded, "Me too!"

"And I was happy to meet Zenitsu's Grandpa! What a sweet old man he was!"

"Hm!" Kyojuro nodded, but you immediately noticed that his usual smile looked a little too tight… As if it was forced.

"Is something wrong Kyojuro?"

"No!" He shook his head, "Everything is okay!"

"Are you sure?" You frowned, "Are you… Are you mad at me?"

"No!" He looked at you, "I could never be mad at you!"

"Then what is it?" You asked, "I can tell something isn't right."

"Hm!"

"Wait… Are you jealous?"

"Hm!" He nodded, before admitting, "A little."

"Wait, hold on!" You raised your hands, "You aren't jealous of Zenitsu but you get jealous of his Grandpa Jigoro?"

Kyojuro nodded and you snorted a little, "I'm sorry, but that is just a little silly!"

"Hm!" Your fiance didn't appear to appreciate your laughter. You grinned as you gently took his hand and kissed his knuckles, "Don't worry, my beloved, because I have my eyes on you and you only."

"Hm!" He nodded, finally smiling a little more genuinely as he used the hand you were holding to move a strand of your hair behind your ear, "That does make me feel better!"

"Aah, my fiance is the cutest!" You squealed happily as you jumped so you were straddling his lap and you pressed the palms of your hands on his cheeks.

"I promise, I love you and only you." You said and that was the only warning the Kitsune got before you leaned forward and kissed him lovingly.

You felt him smile against your lips before he kissed you back, his hand going behind your head and grasping the back of your neck, holding you still so you wouldn't be able to escape.

The two of you pulled apart, but only an inch so you could gasp for breath. As soon as you got your dose of air, you both dove right back, kissing each other again and again…

You moaned softly against your fiance's lips, feeling his manhood hardening in his pants against your clothed sex. Finally, you pulled apart from the kiss and looked at each into your eyes, seeing all the love and adoration you held for each other… And the lust you were feeling.

"Pleasure was all mine!" You smiled as you waved your hand, "Just let me know when you guys are coming next time and I can cook a proper meal or bake something!"

"I will! Thank you!" He nodded and he was about to head upstairs but he stopped to look at you two, " Oh yeah, the bath is open if you want to take one!"

"Thank you Senjuro!" You called and the young fox went to his bedroom. You turned to look at your fiance and grinned, "Wanna make out a little before bath?"

"Hm! Yes please!"

🎮 Marriage is a huge commitment, and he wants to be sure he’s ready for it. No matter what the Spring Troupe has taught him, the idea of picking someone and sticking with them is still a scary concept. When it comes to you, though, I think he knew pretty early on that he was ready for forever this time.

🎮 He was pretty smart about bringing up the topic of marriage, and if you were ready and okay with it. Once he was really, really sure, he had to hype himself up to actually propose.

🎮 But how would he do it? Where? Did he want it to be really big, or something small but unexpected? Was he even ready? Would he ever be?

🎮 It took a lot of thought, but he finally managed to come up with a plan.

🎮 It was a surprise when Itaru asked you to go to the arcade with him that evening, though you took him up on the offer.

🎮 As promised, he picked you up after he finished his work for the day, and the two of you took off.

🎮 The evening was nice, and you spent it ragging on each other for your fighting game skills, despite every match being quite even.

🎮 Though, just before closing, Itaru suggested going to one of the claw machines to win you a cute plushie to remember the day by. You cheekily protested, noting that you already have too many… oh, but what’s one more?

🎮 He laughed, slipping the token into the slot. The way he moved the catcher was honestly impressive, with each movement being scarily precise, up until it hovered above a fluffy tanuki plush.

🎮 With a slam of the button, the catcher lowered, perfectly picking it up, and you could have sworn you saw him wipe away a bead of sweat. This usually wasn’t such a big deal to him…

🎮 The machine chimed, and Itaru took the plushie out of the door.

🎮 Once he did, he handed it to you with a chuckle.

🎮 “There ya go. But there’s one more prize I managed to catch,” he said with a smirk.

🎮 He knelt to reach into the prize area of the machine once more, but what he pulled out was unexpected.

🎮 You felt your breath catch as you squeezed the tanuki just a little closer, right as Itaru pulled out a small box. His expression softened as he began to properly kneel, unveiling the ring.

🎮 “Will you marry me?”

🎮 Itaru’s main source of comfort is distraction and escapism, and, for him, that applies to you, too.

🎮 So when he sees you looking down in the dumps, his immediate response is to wrap you in a blanket, order some pizza, and turn on your favorite show or play a game you like with you.

🎮 Maybe you won’t talk to him just yet, but it doesn’t matter. He won’t force it. The goal right now is to calm you down, you can discuss it later.

🎮 He’ll offer simple decisions to get you out of your head, too, like picking between two sodas or what show to watch next.

🎮 He’s not really one for physical affection when it comes to comfort, though if an issue is starting to overwhelm you, he’ll take your hand and give it a good squeeze to let you know he’s still there, or to give you something else to think about.

🎮 Of course, once you’re back up to speed and feeling a bit better, he’ll congratulate you with a quick kiss to the top of your head and a pat on the back.

Shine x One for All: Shine pretty much works a lot like Full Cowling, so here her powers are closer to that of Captain Celebrity from MHA: Vigilantes.

Tanuki x One for All: Gives more power to her transformations, allows her to use larger ones with less strain. (This one was really hard to come up with, Tanuki is just too weird to work with OfA)

Dreamwalker x One for All: ...I've got nothing, these Quirks are pretty incompatible. Let me know if you think of anything.

pretty sure it's DDAM's first event?? bc i've never heard of it. the entrance fee ($5) was surprisingly ok so i wanted to go check it out. we went on a sunday which means the wristband collection queue was pretty much nonexistent (according to koko), and we also didn't have to queue to enter the venue!! i heard some concerns regarding the safety of the event bc there were quite a lot of booths packed into just oNE hall (compared to three halls for doujima??), but i thought the walking space was ok. the crowd started pouring in at 3 pm+ and i was getting shoved around by shoulders and bags so umM maybe they need better crowd control idk.

konbini is an event similar to mercury fest, with a focus on handmade crafts and vintage/j-fashion clothes. i didn't see a lot of things i wanted?? i think bc it was the last day and almost closing time, a lot of stuffs were already sold out. i bought a pair of socks and a bracelet, and yeeted myself out of there before something else could tempt me.

Alright, I figured it out

I don't know a thing about the upcoming event, but I'm assuming they all stay a night on whatever trip they're going on. Well, let's make the place haunted and the sekai kids all wake up in a labyrinth after they fall asleep, separated from each other. This place could even be a sekai with how some of the vocaloid songs turn out. They've had some of their character development, but let's bring back some of their older problems and make them face it. Of course, they also have to deal with the spirits chasing them around as they try to figure out what happened. I want this to be a full on Kikuo psychological horror rather than a thriller

They can eventually figure out they're not alone when they shout through the walls, but there's no way to just go straight through them, so they have to actually find their way around

Airi- Pretty simple considering she's the 2*, I've always kind of seen Airi as the guide of the group even when she was uncertain of herself, especially around Minori, except will-o-wisps are meant to lead people away from from destinations which causes her problems when they keep popping up because it seems they know the only path to go through, and she doesn't know where she is in this swamp anymore

Mafuyu- i think she would start off fairly calm considering the circumstances. She likes the quiet and almost considers not leaving immediately. Until the shadows start showing up, asking for help. Only, they sound pretty similar to some of her classmates and she becomes practically hopeless when the hand of her mother follows her between dimensions. Which leads her to believe that she'll never escape no matter how much she walks away

Shizuku- From what I looked up, the spirit next to her might be a Zashiki Warashi? Houses they guard will prosper and if the household manages to drive one away then the house will fall to ruin. Families would take take of their reception rooms so the spirit wouldn't be driven away, but Shizuku isn't exactly in a house right now which partially keeps driving the spirit away from her and bringing bad luck. The spirt would look like a normal little girl in this world and I think she would fall back on her perfect image in order to keep what she thinks is a lost girl safe, especially if the spirit does stay close afterwards

Tsukasa- This is the perfect devil/angel over your shoulder situation which would drive him crazy. He automatically wants to side with the prim and proper kitsune, but sometimes his instincts drive him over to the tanuki, and he's having a really hard time finding a balance. Only, they start talking about all his friends and how they would think when he leaves them behind to get out of here. Again. I know it's an umbrella spirit that represents abandoned items, but what if the sekai plushies start showing up too, wondering why he abandoned them. They're both a recent reminder and items from the past. He tries to reassure them that he didn't do so, only to be thrown off when the kitsune and fox ask who he's talking too

Who's he acting for if there's no one else around here, other than himself, to notice?

Rui-  As I don't think Rui has killed a whole bunch of people, I'm going with the anger option of the Gashadokuro. What if Rui has this built up anger, that he doesn't even realize? Anger over being feared and isolated for simply being himself. Maybe he's even angry about considering the disband of WxS. Only he never wanted or meant to be angry because the lantern spirits, the Chōchin obake, are meant for entertaining children— which is exactly what he wants to continue to do with everyone else. There's a few too many to be comfortable as he tries to run away from the Gashadokuro though

Read that the Gashadokuro could be repelled with specific charms, and what if a certain kitsune disappears from Tsukasa's side sometimes to appear next to Rui. These times just so happen to coincide with the quietness from the bones backing away, and the times where Tsukasa can get hurt or something. Really drive in how much he puts others before himself, or Rui could see him as a lucky charm that continues to save him. Could be both

Question of takara my little pony fans

This here is "The Land of Close Friends" according to wikipedia. I've found the image throughout the internet but not a single image of the surrounding animals.

It might be because I don't know japanese, or that the search terms are too vague. I also don't know what all of the animals are, although I'm pretty sure of a few. The elephant and alligator/croc are fairly obvious, theres definitely a pig headed one, and one that's an otter or a koala. The pig, otter, and maybe tanuki seem to share a body/tail. I have no idea if it is a tanuki though- I'm just extrapolating from what i've seen of japanese cartoon animals, that tanukis are little guys with pointed faces.

anyways, im supposed to be organizing my files to share with everyone but i cant be normal for 5 seconds so im um. doing the baby takaras also. even though the baby takara pony fakies are already widely available and nobody asked for the other animals. /I/ like my dolls to have animal friends and I've always liked the alternate animal My Little Ponies (egs Cutiesaurus the dinosaur MLP, Cha Cha the llama)
