this is one of my aus i have with morro. the outlaw! umh. in short terms, basically he survived the caves and went on to roam the sea of sand. eventually built up a reputation as a mysterious ruthless outlaw. holds a mega grudge against wu. "you doubted me, ill show you what i can do" type thing. god complex. leads up to a s5-esque thing where he kidnaps lloyd for ransom to lure wu out. they fight. its a final battle type thing. the outlaw ends up dying. Oh also um He Is The Green Ninja. WHICH sucks for everyone. as you can imagine.

- hes like 70-something in this au.. old ass man

- he ages strangely bc of dragon dna though.

- whenever he shows up somewhere theres a strange red mist on the horizon :^)

- even tho hes the green ninja he still primarily has wind powers. i like to think being the green ninja is more of a destiny type of thing, and it doesnt Give You powers or effect your already existing powers. lloyd just Happened to have ..whatever the fuck his powers are. he didnt get them from being the green ninja

- he has spurs on his boots as a little hint to the fact that hes ruthless and uncaring. spurs hurt the horse so theyre commonly frowned upon.

After almost 19 HOURS, I bring you the main SAMS & LAES cast (plus Jack and Solar). This is just mostly my interpretation and stuff, so it's not that deep. I was just have fun with my own version of their designs. Anyway Here's my thought process on each one because why not:)

Sun's Daycare outfit:

It's basically just his canon outfit, but I added sleeves and more red on his shoes. His sleeves have magnets where they connect to his arm, so thats how he's able to take them off and on. Nothing else to say other than I think the colors look good together.

Sun's Casual outfit:

Nothing too interesting. It's pretty much just a green shirt with a sun on it and his Daycare pants + socks. Honestly I had no idea what to do for his casual design, so I just played around with the color wheel in Ibis till I found this green.

Moon's Daycare outfit:

I'm pretty sure it's canon that Moon doesn't actually work at the Daycare anymore, so for his Daycare design I added these see through sleeve things (I didn't draw them see through because I'm lazy), because I thought it looked cool. He's probably my least favorite design, so I might redo it in the future.

Moon's Casual outfit:

Literally them same as his Daycare outfit but without the sleeves.

Solar's Daycare outfit:

First, rip. Second I'm pretty sure Solar worked at the Daycare. So I decided to give him the wrist ribbons with the bells. He also doesn't have his iconic shirt on, because who in their right mind would wear a WHITE shirt around LITTLE kids. That shirt would be stained in seconds.

Solar's Casual outfit:

Nothing much changed, other than I gave Solar his shirt and I took away his neck ruffles.

Lunar's Daycare outfit:

I don't really have anything against Lunar's original design, so it stayed mostly the same. He has a cloak/cape now though. I might go back in and change how the hood connects to the cape, but it's fine for now.

Lunar's Casual outfit:

This one is probably my favorite casual design out of all of them. Instead of his hooded cap, he has an actual cap now (yippee), and instead of moons on it, it's stripped (because I didn't wanna draw moons or stars on it). He has a blue sweater (or hoodie) on over his shirt, which has a star on it. His pants are somewhat based on the Collectors from TOH. He's also wearing socks. This is definitely my favorite design of the bunch.

Earth's Daycare outfit:

Earth's design is definitely my favorite Daycare design. Earth's outfit is mostly based on her already existing Daycare outfit, except I added more of the yellow spikes, and instead of flowers there are bubbles. I also changed a few of Earth's colors a little bit (ex. Her sleeves, and legs).

Earth's Casual outfit:

This one is also based on Earth's already existing sweater and skirt, but it's more basic. I would've added more details, but I couldn't think of anything.

Jack's design:

He's the only one that didn't change Daycare and Casual. His design is kind of a mix of ayy-imma-ninja (the LAES thumbnail artist)'s design, and the vrchat model. I felt like the bell would be a kind of big disadvantage when sneaking around, cause of the noise, so I kept the bell but made it so there's not a bell on the inside.

What is the deal with Kai's everything being so overlooked?

DRAGONS RISING SEASON TWO SPOILERS

I was scrolling through AO3 for Dragons Rising Part 2 angst related to you know- KAI BEING SACRIFICED, and all of the fics were about Jay losing his memory?

It got me thinking about how Kai's relationship with Nya has always been pushed aside in favour of her and Jay's, like seriously that's his sister for crying out loud, move over Jay you're just the boyfriend.

In skybound when Nya died, who was holding her? In seabound who got to speak to her and try to convince her to stay? In crystalized whose grief was more focused on?

Jay.

Why is it all about Jay? Kai raised her, and he became a ninja to save and protect her, he's literally related to her!

I MEAN SURELY HE CARES CUS THATS HIS GODDAMM SISTER RIGHT?!?!

He cared when Zane died (s3), Lloyd got possessed (s5) and kidnapped (pretty much every season), and when Cole fell (s10) so it's not like they are trying to write his character as the no emotions-suffer-in-silence kind of guy right?

It's not just with his relationship with Nya, anytime something bad happens to Kai he's either directly told to get over it or, forced to focus on something else, then the issue seems to be forgotten?

Not just by the fandom but by the writers too! And until recently people still believed he was just a selfish character that only thinks about himself, when that really was never the case!!

When Zane died Kai said this to Lloyd: " And where's the Master of Ice, huh? He's gone, but I'm still here. Who cares about honour? It should've been me. I should've been the one—"

He is literally talking about taking Zane's place in being the one who died, not because he's selfish but because he thinks Zane was a more useful member of the team!? He felt like he could and should have done more to make sure Zane didn't do what he did, to protect him, and instead of being comforted in this state of mind, he got told: "You always thought you should've been the one. First, it was being the Green Ninja, now this. When are you gonna start thinking of someone other than yourself?"

THAT IS NOT A SELFISH STATEMENT. Not cool Lloyd, I love u but not cool. >:(

Just thought of a scene for Amnesia!Jay and I'm so gonna plug it in right here :)

(Think of this as a scene for a random ah fanfic or as a minific or something)

His computer screen glows brightly in the dimly lit office. A man sat slouched, his face resting on his hand as he scrolled through the Ninjago News of the past. He has no clue how long or how far down he's gotten. Just that he knew he was searching for something.

Who was he? Before....all this?

He scrolled, looking like he hadn't been looking for anything at all. He'd been used to doing that by now, knowing the trouble he'd get in if he ever got caught searching for things outside the administration's approval.

His finger stopped scrolling.

Thats him. He sat up a bit, staring intensely at the screen infront of him.

He studied the picture he was looking at.

Him. Wearing what looked like a party hat. It had blue and orange stripes on it. There was another blue and orange striped hat, this one however, sat atop a metal...no, titanium...person? Robot? Droid? Their outfit was white and gray.

Then there was another hat type, this one green with red dots around it. Someone with brown, spiked hair and a red outfit wore it. So did another person with black, long-ish hair and a black and orange outfit. And another...a woman. Her black hair tied up in a pony tail, her outfit gray with bits of blue.

She smiled at him.

Jay stared at her picture, her smile, she was so...perfect.

But...who, are these people? Who was the little toddler who danced infront of them as they sung into a microphone?

He read the caption. The Ninja having saved ninjago once again, dance and sing to their victory!

Ninja...

The word rung in his head. Was that who he was? Who he used to be?

The word sounded so familiar. The picture replayed in his mind. The scene felt so familiar in on it's own. She felt so damn familiar, they felt so familiar but who are they?!

Why were they so close yet so far? Why couldn't he just remember? They felt so familiar yet so strange to him.

He scrolled a touch farther down the article. There was a video. Reluctantly, he clicked it.

He stared at it as it played, sounds of singing and toddler babbling played, music in the background.

Then it stopped, it was over. Jay sat in silence for a moment.

His face scrunched up, his eyes seeming to gloss over as he clicked it again, and again, and again.

He was so frustrated! Why couldn't he remember?! Why was his mind so...so, insistent on forgetting?!

He wanted so badly to remember who he was, Where he came from, who his friends and family were.

But....

He couldn't. He couldn't remember.

As his frustration lingered, his gut churned, he lay his head in his arms on the desk and cried. Quietly, but he cried. He was so tired. Exhausted. He just wanted to know who he was...who he used to be.

.......

Calm once again he sat back up and studied the faces in the picture intently. He knew them at one point, and now he was going to find them.

The administration isn't going to stop him anymore. Not if he makes it out at least. If he knew these people, maybe they're important. Maybe they know his family, maybe they were his friends. Maybe the toddler in the picture is grown up a bit now. It couldn't have been that long right? He still looked almost exactly the same as he did in the picture.

He packed up a few things in a small backpack, food, water, money that he got from the administration. (Hopefully it worked outside the administration...)

He left. Didn't even turn back. Snuck through the doors and left.

He was going to find these people. Or at least...he hoped too. If they weren't gone or too far lost.

He shook his head at the thought. No time for that he thought as he ran as far as he could from the place he'd lived for...well, as long as he could remember.

......

He made it (Undetected, as far as he was aware) to a place people called 'The Cross Roads'. Maybe he'd find them here.

He took a look around, unsure where to go. (He did think he seemed a bit out of place though...still wearing his formal attire) His look of confusion shifted a bit to suspicion as he noticed a boy pointing at him as he talked to the girl next to him. The boy wore an orange hoodie with blue jeans. The hoodie had a dragon imprinted on it. His hair was black and curly. The girl wore her hair in a ponytail, it was pink with cat-ear headphones on her head. Her left arm looked to be prosthetic. Her white outfit held pink and golds and dark blues. A cat key-chain as well.

It reminded him of the white gi he saw on the titanium droid in the picture. The two stared at him a bit wide eyed. It...kinda freaked him out a bit.

The boy began to run towards him. He froze unsure what to do.

"HEY!" The boy shouted as he ran up. Jay smiled awkwardly, as he stood perfectly still, as if it'd make him invisible.

As the boy made his way up, he slowed to a stop and bent over to catch his breath a bit. The girl now appeared behind the other.

"Uhm...Hi?..." Jay paused for a moment. "Do I...know, you?" He awkwardly smiled again.

The curly haired guy stood up again, (He was a lot taller than Jay expected) his hands curled into fists infront of his chest. His eyes seemed to *literally* shine like stars as he smiled breathlessly.

"Are you Jay Walker?!"

Sorry my demons so a bunch of stuff happens on the island bla bla bla  but the important thing is that all the eggs get kidnapped and no one (not even the evil federation that runs the island) knows where they are and the parents are told to get on a train to be relocated to some random island until the federation deals with the missing eggs but the train is hijacked and the players are now in purgatory this event was hell

this fucking event was hell on earth. Not only for us, the viewers, but also for the ccs The rules are these: Islanders are separated into 3 different teams Red (aka BOLAS?!?!? -thats their actul name ), Green (aka team green ninjas), and Blue (aka team soulfire)

there is a big evil guy and he is the one that kidnapped the eggs and he runs this event all the teams have tasks that need to be done in a day and the team with the highest score is the winner of that day

The 'ultimate winner' is the team who has won the most days across the two-week period. The winning team gets to choose some of the eggs to come back home with them

then the hell begins im gonna talk about team bolas here cause they are the ones i watched the most but team green ninjas and team soulfire were also very fun  team bolas consists of:

at fistr team bolas tried to talk to the other teams, they didn't start fighting right away because why would they! these people were their friends! the people that helped them and that they made a community with, why would they mindlessly start killing each other? so team bolas tried to talk and the other teams respond by killing them over and over 

and over

and over again they kept killing team bolas even tho they only wanted to talk| at the end of the first day team bolas was fucking depressed as fuck they also went insane yk jaiden, jaiden animation ? if you don't she is an animator and is generally kid-friendly and doesn't swear super much im saying this because one of the most popular clips from the purgatory even was her screaming “kill yourself” from the top of her lungs i don't have the clip saved but if i find it ill send it to you is so funny anyway, so yeah team bolas went insane they all started wearing these gas masks and it looks so fucking cool 

oh and the ccs wore actual gas masks irl look

also everyone (but especially baghera and cellbit) got super attached to phil and started calling him dad, an now baghera has trauma and is super clingy to phil cause she sees him as a father figure 

also everyone on team bolas HATES bbh i hope he dies and burns and is tortured eternally <33

(bbh was fucking ruthless and was a notorious spawn killer and gave everyone but especially charlie trauma)

but after the disaster that were the first couple of days team bolas made an insane comeback and manage to fucking win the event!!!

so in conclusion bolas forever <3

there are a lot of more fun moments from the purgatory event (like charlie terrorizing quackity, everyone going insane when carre logged in, that one time charlie pretended to be wilbur) but these were the basics of team bolas

a random smith-jiang sibs swap au that ive been thinking of for too long

im writing an element/role swap between kai and nya bc ive literally been obsessed with that au for so long,,,, im currently thinking about swap!kai and swap!nya and whatnot

swap!nya:

i always think of nya as a burnt-out gifted kid (haha i kin her), so when she doesnt get something, she gets frustrated and feels like quitting- couple this with the fact that her brother was kidnapped by walking talking skeletons that shes only heard of in myths and legends, and was taken to the underworld, and shes stuck doing this stupid training course that she just cant complete- well, thats just a bit more added pressure, isnt it?

and she doesnt have the best relationship with jay cole and zane initially but in the end, she wants to join the ninja and stay with them to protect ninjago. kai joins her because why not?- in canon, kai became a ninja only to save nya, and its similar in this au. she wants to save her brother, because hes the only family she knows and she wants to protect him for a change, rather than vice-versa, and later on- she doesnt want to be defined by him, she doesnt want to rely on him as much as she did earlier

(oh, and i think itd be hilarious for nya to be super protective of kai like how kai is of nya in the case of jaya- im thinking lava here? idk but yeah!)

and for swap!kai:

kais a protector, and hes a big brother- initially, the only reason he became a ninja was to protect nya. in this au, he joined the ninja and stayed with them in the monastery because nya wanted to. he doesnt have any powers (yet), so he feels out of place, and most importantly- he doesnt know what to do

kais one purpose in life was to protect nya, and now she doesnt need it, because shes the fire ninja. so where does that leave him? hes powerless, hes not strong- in fact, hes probably the weakest link of the team (if he even is part of the team- to him, theyre just nyas teammates, he doesnt trust them- the others want to understand him more, but he doesnt get that because hes too busy wallowing in self pity and misery)

he puts together something, maybe- heads back to four weapons and smiths a set of armor (i feel like kais better at making armor than at making weapons, idk why), becomes the red shogun (instead of samurai x, we have the red shogun), and we have that entire "whoever figures out the identity of samurai x will be the green ninja" thing but with the red shogun instead- although i havent really figured out a reason for kai to hide the fact that hes the samurai? maybe he wanted to tell them but then saw how much they hated the shogun, and he already felt so isolated and disconnected from the group (and especially his sister, who basically has a completely different life now), so he just kept silent? i dont know lol i still have to figure it out

but i dont want kai to have the samurai x mech (or any mech yet) because hes NOT tech savvy, like at all- he wouldnt be able to make a mech lmao. instead, he'd make a full armor set.

how does he get from one point to the other so quickly, though, you ask?

you will never know (<- has not figured that out yet, because i havent thought that far ahead, which may be a problem but oh well)

(maybe he just has a motorcycle that he stole borrowed. idk.)

oh, also, wu reveals that kai's the master of water much sooner here probably, idk

k so im not fully caught up and shit but im fully convinced lloyd should have been a plant ninja (there is still spoilers, hell lloyd being apart of the ninja counts as a spoiler, so be warned and lets get into the ramble!)

so i wanna do 2 parts to this (i will remember to add on i swear), one part is why the random green energy does work, and one on why plants would have been nice to see. this obviously is part one, once im done making part two ill be linking it to this (so for now reblogs are going off, sorry). without any further delay, we now start...

Why Lloyd's "Power of Green" Fits him Pretty Well

okay so everyone elses element are like natural things and shit right? i mean, kai has his fire, zane has ice, cole has rock/ground, the list goes on. and even if it doesnt naturally occur, its something conventional or like has a name and stuff. i work best explaining with examples, so like, the master of mind, poisons, metal, those are identifiable to something.

the only ones that dont fit are the power of amber and lloyds powers, which look kinda like green fire to me

its unexpected, it doesnt seem fucking real, its ever so different from the others, as though the creators went "eh, give him whatever" and threw him to the side. thats why it fits so badly.

lloyd, unlike the other ninja, grew up ever so seperated (not just includingg before the show, during too). he didnt get a say in his destiny, never knew how his actions would affect others and had to see his effects with a forced understanding. he experienced his childhood adjusting to his fate then had to adjust more when he got aged up.

hes such a confusing character to the others, so having such an out of place power fits, cause how perfect is a power said to be more powerful then the others to be isolating? a power which makes zero sense? perfect for lloyd garmadon.

DUDE i’d love to elaborate on lloyd’s team!! its probably the team where i have the most thought on each individual choice LMAO so its the most interesting

- Gallade is Lloyd’s starter, and i think they’re the combo i’ve consistently drawn the most together, lmao. Ralts is a small pokemon with a green bowl cut, so i like the image of itty bitty baby lloyd running around with his ralts and causing trouble, and the two growing up and maturing with each other. also gallade is a sword pokemon, and lloyd is a sword guy. also also gallade just feels like a transmasc pokemon to me . yeah.

- Haxorus is Lloyd’s second pokemon! admittedly haxorus is here because unova is my first and favorite gen. this is a common reason why i choose pokemon actually. but haxorus is also a green dragon pokemon! and it’s shiny form is black… which is a color associated with lloyd’s dad….. my thought is that in between s2 and s3 Garmadon gives Lloyd an egg from his haxorus, and it hatches into an axew that lloyd makes part of his team

- Togekiss is the third! i have a fic outline (that will likely never get written anytime soon, or at all) about this baby, but basically. after s5, Lloyd would have trouble taking care of himself, because of s5. so he’s gifted an egg that hatches into a togepi, and he relearns how to take care of himself for this togepi! i also like the idea of togepi refusing to evolve for a long time — she only evolves into a togetic during s9, and a togekiss sometime after s10. stubborn queen <3

- Sceptile is number four! Lloyd catches him as a grovyle between s7 and s8, and he evolves a season later. ok girl. sceptile is here because he’s green and reptile like, and also because his mega evolution has a secondary dragon type! (and is also the coolest mega of the hoenn starters, who said that? anyway) also. maybe also the blade aesthetic? sceptile can know leaf blade right?

- Whimsicott is number five! all of the ninja have a surprise pokemon added to their team for s11, and whimsicott is that surprise pokemon! i have the weakest reason for why whimsicott is here, he’s green and i like him! (and “energy” or “life” might could probably be argued as reasons for giving lloyd another grass type?) tho i like the suggestion that whimsicott’s here because he looks like a pillow mint, haha

and admittedly, a lot of my teams are chosen for pretty surface-level reasons — initially i just had one pokemon for sora, just like arin’s one pokemon, and it was Sylveon. because sylveon matches her colors really strongly, and is a catlike pokemon heavily associated with the colors of the trans flag — it just felt like they fit! dedenne i added last minute because i wanted to pull in something from her being a mechanic and to match sylveon’s typing, so it felt really good!

ur not the first person to point this out, you’re right!! i think some dragon pokemon on her team would make sense too — my thoughts for candidates would be altaria, the goomy line, or dratini/dragonair. i feel like she’d go for more cutesy pokemon, but idk, thats usually the pokes i go for too

cuta jaya moment but nya's arc this season is basically generic “believe in yourself” and like. we've done that before. they literally just brought her back to return to the status quo for the “last” season.

ok i know i complain about ignoring the old seasons but at least they tried to tie in the other new seasons like calling vania and benthomar and all that. it's basically a replacement for when previous seasons would bring back the other EMs and such and i guess it makes sense since this is a different era of ninjago. all of that falls apart when they insist on bringing back characters like garmadon though...

oh finally they didn’t fall into the canal for once!

oh no if they make cole and vania get together i’m gonna...read the entire hs epilogues and hs2. worst thing i could think of.

the others are either gonna find another way to find out what happened and come to help them in the nick of time, or this was just a way of explaining why no one else came to help.

oops i watched the final eps drunk after a party and I still haven’t gone back to rewatch them ^^; umm fun moments, dragon form was ???? out of nowhere and should have had a whole season centred around achieving this form, Nya’s character regressed, rushed ending considering how much history they had to tie up, llorumi bad and i miss those little legos already

In the early seasons, Kai always seemed to want to be best. Not wanting to accept the fact that Lloyd is the desired green ninja, and not him. We see this clearly in season 4, where he gets aggressive and finally lets out the pent up anger that he has been feeling the past few seasons.

He hates the feeling of being weak, he hates having no power, to feel helpless. This is also what is seen at the multiple times that his powers got taken/stolen. When Aspheera took his powers, he felt worthless, he knew he couldnt help the others because there was no way for him to somehow assist them or whatsoever. Aspheera took one of the things that he desired about himself the most. The thing that made him feel good about himself, the only thing that made him feel important and valuable to the team, to himself.

Feeling weak means feeling like you have nothing that makes you able to help others. Kai has the desire to be the best, to better than everybody else, because thats what makes him feel important. Thats what makes him feel like hes somebody. Making fun of Jay when saying things like ,,It should someone expendable, like jay" ,,if jay can do it, how hard can it be?" (no im not letting go of those phrases) make him feel better, like hes above him, which raises his self confidence and makes him feel like hes helpful to the team. He does this by saying how he thinks Jay doesnt really matter.Often, insults reflect on how someone feels about themselves.

In which case, as said earlier, Kai most likely feels alot of the things that he calls Jay, so by releasing them onto someone else, makes him feel better.

Kai has grown up to do everything by himself, protecting himself when nobody was there to protect him, except his sister. Which is why he feels bad whenever he cant do something on his own because it makes him feel helpless.

So he could be there for a good portion of s1, yknow get some more bonding in with the team, meet and get to know Lloyd (him & Kai & Nya & Lloyd all acting like siblings). Then they somehow find out about the sibling thing and Morro ends up leaving because of it, deciding he'll go prove himself elsewhere (maybe trying to defeat pythor and the rest of the Serpentine singlehandedly?) (Also definitely don't image lil Lloyd begging Morro not to leave as he's packing his things).

OH WHAT IF HE ENDS UP TRAPPED BY THE SERPENTINE And Lloyd gets captured and they're captured buddies. And then he escapes with the ninja when they come to rescue Lloyd. AND THEN HES THERE WHEN THEY FIND OUT LLOYDS THE GREEN NINJA I feel like he'd get SO mad at Kai right then

WOULD Wu trust him with that?? I mean, with the other 3 ninja it definitely wouldn't go well. But maybe with Kai Morro convinces Wu to let him try? And Wu's like, I suppose it would be good practice since when you're the green ninja you'll be leader. And then yeah.

Morro's gets kicked out of the blacksmith shop and is on his way back to go complain to Wu when the skeletons attack

OHH YOURE SO RIGHT MORRO TOURNAMENT OF ELEMENTS I NEED. if he does fight lloyd or kai (WHICH HE DOES THIS HAPPENS) he can have half a redemption arc like how cole sacrificed himself for jay. but like half as in they dont know that he WILLINGLY lost. he lost on purpose cause he knew there was something sketchy going on at the island and the ninja have a better chance at defeating whatever it is if they stick together as a team, compared to just him alone

I want him to fight both Lloyd and Kai so bad but I don't know how that would WORK. HMMM OHH Maybe like him and Kai end up fighting over one of the jade blades in the first round. Like I could see Kai just barely picking one up only for Morro to yeet himself at him out of nowhere. And it'd be like such a heated but slightly one-sided fight. Because Kai is just trying to talk to him and Understand and Morro just hates Kai at this point (or at least he thinks he does). But then once Kai realizes realizes Morro's not gonna talk to him he really starts trying because he needs to stay in the tournament so they have a better chance of finding Zane (also hes being reminded of just how annoying Morro is). (Also maybe Morro's also here for Zane? Possibly?) But then Morro gets the Jade blade and Kai let's him have it cuz he's tired of fighting with him so he goes and fights Karloff. Or something.

AND THEN we can have the planned fight between Lloyd and Morro (which was definitely intentional on Chen/Clouse's part) with lots of emotions n stuff and Lloyd trying to reason with Morro and some part if it gets through to him and like you said the partial redemption n stuff. And like I could imagine at the end of the match Lloyd going "im sorry Morro" like he wishes it didn't have to go this way but it does kind of a thing. Cuz he doesn't know Morro threw the fight.

ALSO Morro getting his powers taken (he hates it) having to work in the noodle shop (he hates it) having to work together with Cole and Karloff and Jay and all of them to escape (he hates it slightly less) and finding Zane (first genuine smile we probably get out of him all season).

I feel like he'd get on well with Skylar

OH also him seeing Kai's struggle with Chen's staff I feel like could be a big eye-opener for him maybe.

okay. so this one is. i need to explain first before you read. i will say that the ninjago rewrite kai and me have in our heads is supposed to be a little more "mature" than the show. it contains some darker themes and some more realistic behaviors from certain characters. ( this post will contain themes of grief and addiction. trigger warning right here.) so, my friends and i have recently finished watching seabound (as one does!) and @shadesofvermillionvoid and i...well... we CANNOT stop having ideas about things that would happen in that year gap post seabound and pre-crystalized in our rewrite/headcanons i saw the first episode of crystalized, and i was like.. hm... i wonder why kai hasnt gone like.. full sad again like he went red shogun last time someone dear to him died.. like thats his sister.. whats up with that and i went to my friend kai, the one mentioned earlier in this post and i said... hey. what if... kai. actually got... therapy! what if, he had promised to himself. that he would NEVER go back to the pain that being the shogun had caused him. what he took a step back and looked at himself and said "i. i need help. this is too much and i need to talk to someone." so, kai does get therapy (good for him!) he gets a new job, that of training little kids, because kai loves taking care of kids! thats been apparent this whole time, so he takes up this job that makes him happy! and kai's.. getting better! he's handling nya's death as well as he can. he has his rough moments but he kept the promise he made to himself and to his family. meanwhile... lloyd... well. lloyd isnt getting better. at all. no, in fact, hes going downhill and he's going fast. he moves out of the monestary for the first time, he abandons his identity, that of the green ninja, he stops being a leader. he stops caring about the things he thinks define him. he stops caring about his family. he just...cleans windows now. he can't be responsible for anyone. ever. again.

so well, lloyd knows he needs help too. but hes a little bit more.. uh... sloppy. about getting said help. he starts taking anti-depressants, just. medicine. maybe... a little too much of it. and kai. doesnt know that yet. but he wants to be there for his little brother. they meet one day and he sees how disheveled lloyd looks. he sees how out of it he is and how different hes behaving. and... well, when kai says the words "Little brother" to this.. broken version of lloyd. Lloyd doesnt take it well. they have a fight, a fight that results in lloyd saying that he's not kai's "brother" but, kai still tries to be supportive he messages lloyd every day he tries so hard even if hes hurt he cant let lloyd destroy himself like he did one day he even gets an accidental call from lloyd, and helps him though panic before swiftly leaving the next morning. and he still texts lloyd every day hes still trying until...

well until lloyd stops seeing his texts. ------ FUN FACT! i actually made this to show kai the IDEA i had of it. because as you can see i am HORRID at explaining and i just go on and ramble!! so i didnt wanna do that and this is my only other way of expressing myself. its not a GOOD comic and it was never made to be good. it was just made to show kai what i had in mind BDWJKWDW with lloyd breaking his phone specifically
