geto losing his way because his best friend was too busy to notice as the power gap and physical distance between them grew and grew, being metaphorically left behind even if it wasn't gojo's intention and turning into a monster. gojo realising that to actualise his goals of societal reformation he, too, must hypocritically become a monster– what the higherups and his own moral compass, instilled in him BY geto, demanded him execute geto for, and what got him exiled from the society he was born to protect and died trying to change. the system failed gojo satoru and geto suguru, tied together by their icarian fate.
and gojo did it all in order to "catch up" to his best friend who had left him behind, who hadn't asked gojo to join him because he was better than geto's decision, because he would never catch up to gojo satoru, the enlightened and honoured one alone. satosugu is full of cinematic parallels, but if there's any way to describe their relationship, it is ouroboros endlessly devouring itself. two best friends doomed to chase one another for the rest of eternity, because i didn't abandon him, he abandoned me, and yet unbeknownst to either side, neither of them ever even let go of the other. never in life, never in death.

Dear Reader,🌹
I am Dr. Mohammed Aldeeb, a dedicated medical professional specializing in emergency care, hailing from the Gaza Strip. 🇵🇸 ✌🕊
For years, I poured my heart and soul into my work at Al-Shifa Hospital, tending to the wounded and the ailing with compassion and skill.😀
However, the ravages of war tore through our lives😓, forcing me to abandon my cherished home and the familiar walls of the hospital where I once found solace😥💔.
Leaving behind the echoes of laughter and camaraderie, I embarked on a painful journey southward, bidding farewell to the streets where I grew up😓💔, the corners where I sought refuge, and the colleagues who felt like family. Memories of my formative years and the countless lives I touched during my tenure at Al-Shifa and other medical facilities flooded my mind😥, as I struggled to come to terms with the sudden upheaval.
Despite the adversities that besieged me, I persevered in my pursuit of healing. My determination led me to Al-Azhar University, where I embraced the role of a teaching assistant, imparting knowledge to aspiring medical students with unwavering dedication. Dreams of specializing in internal medicine beckoned me back to Al-Shifa Hospital, but alas, the brutal onslaught of war reduced it to rubble, shattering my aspirations in its wake.
In the chaos and carnage of conflict, I sustained injuries, and the sanctuary of my home was obliterated, leaving my family and me destitute and displaced. Yet, amid the ruins, a flicker of hope persists. At Al-Aqsa Hospital, I continue to extend a helping hand to those in need, drawing strength from the resilience instilled in me through years of education and service.
Today, we find ourselves sheltering in a humble tent, stripped of our possessions and livelihoods. The loss of my job, my home, and the comforting presence of my loved ones weighs heavily on my heart. Nevertheless, I refuse to surrender to despair, clinging to the belief that brighter days lie ahead.
It is with a heavy heart that I reach out to you, dear reader, seeking assistance in securing safe passage for myself and my family from the turmoil of Gaza. With your kindness and generosity, I hope to reclaim the path to realizing my medical vocation, enabling me to provide for my loved ones and contribute to the healing of our wounded world.
Your compassionate aid would mean the world to me and my family.
With gratitude and hope,
Dr. Mohammed Aldeeb

i think the way that straight men/dude bros have gotten ahold of jjk and turned it into this snooze fest of homophobia and sexualization is a little crazy to me, as the real story arc is lost on them, and honestly its really sad.
I'm not going to argue the whole "satosugu isnt canon!" Because it is, and it's very, very obvious, so we aren't going to even talk about that. Instead I'm just going to address how absurd I think it is that people can even deny its relevance to the story in the first place. I think it's really interesting how often queer media gets put down as people "just being friends". It's so crazy because, those same people who hate the queer (canon) ships, favor gojohime.
Gojohime as a ship genuinely makes no sense to me because not only does utahime canonically hate gojo, but it also waters down her character to just being another female love interest. Utahime is one of my favorites characters because she never understood the gojo hype, she stayed true to herself and saw gojo for the often pretentious man he could be- and while it's not exactly all he is, he's just as complex as everyone else in the story, he was really annoying towards her- so I think it's interesting how people can see her, very obviously hating him, and take it as her "oh she just has a crush on him, she acts that way because she likes him!" No she acts that way because be torments her. Why can't people understand that not every woman is there to be the strong man's love interest? She genuinely just does not like him, and it's granted because he's a total ass to her.
I think the queer undertones of this story being lost to like 80% of its watchers and readers genuinely ruins it, because I just can't understand how someone could look at geto and gojos tragically, beautifully written romance and think that they were ever just friends. It's just so crazy to me.
then there's the odd obsession with sexualizing maki, a 17 year old girl. Like it's just so so so sooo gross. Every single time I search for fanart of this girl her tits are out and it's so fucking weird. Like pls just say you like little girls.
Another example of straight men ruining this show is their obsession with denying kiraras trans-ness. Hakari has stated multiple times that he is straight, would never be interested in a dude. That he only likes women. (when he references saying that there would be no point in going on a Ferris wheel with a man, because, well it's a romantic thing and he would probably like to maybe get a kiss out of it) and it's very obvious that he and Kirara are in a romantic relationship, so he whole, "kirara is a femboy!" thing really pisses me off. Along with uraume, like oh my God.
This show was so obviously made with the intention of having very queer characters, and it saddens me to see all these media illiterate clusterfucks watching it.
(Not trying to shit on anyones ships, but also pls note that if you don't consider satosugu canon you're an opp h/j)

Gojo: How many vampires do you think have been hit by a car backing up in a parking lot because the driver couldn’t see their reflection? Geto: I’ve never considered it but you’re really shining light on what’s probably a very serious issue.
