I translated the phone text messages from Double!

The text was tiny so it was a bit hard to make out, if I made any mistakes please let me know! My Japanese is still at the intermediate/entering advanced level.

I KNOW WHY THE CAGED BIRD KILLS s2, ep10 has some pretty cute moments between the characters and stuff imo. mostly in small ways (i'll post about those after this). my favorite bits come from rusty and orpheus hanging out/rusty going to orpheus for help.

orpheus is kind of like rusty's divorced/ex - wife that gets along with him and still patches up his life booboos when he can. they r very cutie-core to me.

i also really like the bit where rusty is all like " so you CAN see it! THANK YOU!! brock said it was the diet pills (¬_¬) " because this just.. agh.. idk.. bihfewiyovivjfsd JUST TINY REMINDER THAT BROCK'S STILL KIND OF AN ASSHOLE BC WE KNOWWW THAT BROCK'S SEEN AND BEEN THROUGH CRAZIER SHIT SO HE DEFO KNOWS THAT RUSTY WAS LEGIT BEING BOTHERED BY AN ONI AND HE JUST WANTED TO SHRUG IT OFF AND GO "ehh as long as it doesn't kill you or the boys it must be whatever right? it's just the diet pills you'll be fine kek" he is such a husband it's funny.

oh and the episode is pretty direct and 'straight cut' so far at the start, so i can't point out and gush over TOO many things - but i CAN fawn over the way Rusty talks and pronounces his words and stuff yk? "can you get rid of it or what ?" so flamboyant. love the little teasing smile he does too.

and orpheus going "oh yes of COURSE i can help you" and immediately taking this as a chance to tease him about it is SO cutesy and funny like these are GAY gay men we're talking about here.

"these oni are usually after some form of retribution - so what did you do ~?" literally rusty's "i told you so" esque wife. i have never seen rusty have an interaction with another man that does not (in some way) automatically make them gay partners coded. "violate a sacred temple ?" (gay little inhale) " no! let me guess! you " relieved " yourself in someone's-- zen garden ~? (≖‿≖)" GAY GAY GAYYYY and the fact that he even MENTIONS that bit implies that he either thinks THAT low of rusty (who doesn't? like really lol), or that rusty has TOTES jacked off in someone's zen garden lmao.

and rusty doesn't even ARGUE the bit like he normally would so we can only actually assume the latter lelz rusty just looks at him like （ミ￣ー￣ミ）ok ok r u done? ik rusty's just tolerating it because he NEEDS the help - but the fact that rusty doesn't make at least ONE comment during all that is cute idk i just wanted to say it

When in Rome is fun! Got a really awful (morally speaking, he's a horrible little pervert) Riddler in it but it's a fun time. Part of The Long Halloween and Dark Victory too.

Can recommend it and also no spoilers but if you want to, look up the panel of Riddler trying on Catwoman's catsuit and it being way too large for him, that was a choice
