Alas, at the end of the day, the casts had been announced. This had been a long time coming. The rumors had been around since last year at least. The actors had been practicing w their instruments longer than that.

Sony Corp. wants money from the stans. They don't give a fuck about no-name actors as sad and bleak as it is.

They want the memes and the edits that come with the existing fanbases of these respective actors. If these flopped they will easily transfer them to streaming.

Regarding Barry, the arguments I saw against him are largely about how they think he's ugly(fuck you), his Scouse accent was shit in Saltburn (Oliver's supposed to be from Meyserside, my UK friends confirmed he's not that bad), or how he cheated on Sabrina Carpenter (fuck you, it's debunked already and has nothing to do w this).

I for once will always laugh at people crashing out over this without a good reason beside their personal dislike of the actors.
