Touch Tank
Pairing: Loki x Reader
Word Count: 5.5k (look it wasn't supposed to be this many- my characters got away from me)
Warnings: sheesh, oral (f receiving), fingering, handjob, creampie, Loki is very soft and worshiping, unprotected sex (be safe) I think that's it idk this is kind of mild compared to some of my other stuff- could be waaaay more raunchy lmao
Genre: fluff, smut
Summary: Loki is not the easiest person to get close to, but you're not deterred by his standoffishness. He deserves a friend in the tower and you're determined to be at least that much.
He's so pretty when he goes down on me // he tells me he's gentle when he wants to be // I think he wants to be gentle with me ~ Touch Tank by Quinnie

***
You rush down the hall, excited for your night out with a group of your non-Avenger friends. You make a point to see your other friends as often as you can to balance those relationships with your ones on the team. After all, living with the Avengers means that you see them all the time, but being an Avenger is not all there is to you. Walking into the main room you're surprised to see Loki sitting at the kitchen counter, just kind of staring at nothing.
"You alright Lo?" You ask him carefully. Your question seems to pull him out of whatever trance he was in.
"I'm fine." He says, though his face isn't convincing.
"Okay? Happy staring- I'm going out so- I'll see you later then." You frown heading over to the main elevator. Loki's not exactly close to anyone in the tower except Thor, and even that he'd argue is false but you always make a point to include him even when the others ignore him a bit. As you ride down to street level you can't help but wonder what has him so pensive up there by himself. On the street, waiting for a taxi to flag down, you can't get yourself to shake Loki from your mind so- reluctantly you dial one of your friends.
"Y/n!" Your friend's excited voice practically yells down the line.
"Hey! Listen, you know I hate to do this, and I wouldn't if it wasn't important, but I'm not going to be able to make it out tonight, something's come up. I'm okay, I just can't come. You guys have fun! I want loads of pictures and a play-by-play once one of you returns to life tomorrow yeah?"
"Aw we're gonna miss you!"
"Ditto! But I'll see you guys soon! Tell the girls I said hi!" You say.
"Of course! Take care, and call if you need anything!"
"Same to you!" You blow a kiss as you end the call and sigh. "Dammit Loki." You roll your eyes as you turn around and go back inside. You ride the elevator back up to the main floor where Loki is still sitting at the counter. You knock on the counter in front of him and grab a bottle of water from the fridge.
"Aren't you meant to be going somewhere?" Loki's eyes narrow at you.
"I was, but I called my friend on my way down and she's actually not feeling too hot so we decided it'd be best to reschedule once she's feeling better." You shrug. You know better than to tell him you cancelled your plans because you saw him moping at the counter. He'd flip at the first possible hint of you pitying him, even though that isn't what this is.
"I see."
"Do you want to watch a movie or something?" You offer.
"What?" He scoffs.
"Well- I was supposed to be spending time interacting with people tonight and that fell through but I'd feel kinda bummed if I spent the whole evening alone now after all the mental prep to be social so if you can be so terribly bothered to hang out for a bit I'd- value that." You say. Loki looks you over as he considers your words and then he sighs.
"I suppose I could spare a few hours, but only because I can't stand watching you mope around the tower the way you do whenever you're disappointed, it's pathetic. But this favor is a huge inconvenience to me I just want you to know that." He says and you have to fight the urge to smile. You know the show of bravado is for his own sake more than anything, and you're willing to let him have it, but it's funny to think of how much rationalizing he's doing to convince himself it's alright to spend time with you.
"Your sacrifice is both duly noted and greatly appreciated. I can offer you compensation in the form of a meal or freshly baked cookies." You say. Loki's eyes light up very briefly at the offer of cookies, he'll never admit it out loud but he loves your baking, he always eats almost half a tray when you make them.
"You know Midgardian food has very little appeal to me, but I suppose a batch of cookies will do." He says with feigned disinterest.
"Do you want them now or at a later date?"
"I have no interest in dragging this out, so now would be better."
"Alright, give me five minutes to change, I'll make you some cookies and we can throw on a movie." You smile at him. You change out of your dress and into a hoodie and shorts. Twenty minutes later you're sat with a tray of cookies and a few other small bites with some random sitcom on the TV.
"I don't understand the point of this. Is there even a plotline?" Loki scoffs.
"Yes but only a little one."
"A little one?"
"So there are a number of shows that you can throw on and watch out of order with little consequence. Like if you do watch every episode in order there is a throughline of like character development and life changes but if you jump into, let's say, season 3 episode 2, you'll just see some funny little antics that are mostly inconsequential and chances are will not come up again until maybe the finale where they recount all their little goofs over the years." You explain.
"Why?"
"Mindless entertainment? It's nice to have something to watch that you don't have to be aware of watching." You shrug. "Lots of shows have complex storylines and characters that need to be paid attention to in order to comprehend what you're watching. Sometimes you don't want to do all of that." You shrug.
"If you don't want to think about what you're watching, why watch anything?" He frowns.
"Pass the time, fill the silence, any number of things. Like we have one on but we're talking now so we're not really paying it any attention, but because it's a sitcom we're not missing anything vital because there's nothing vital to miss. And when this conversation lulls to a stop we'll just tune back in and pick up wherever it's at."
"Your Midgardian habits are very strange." Loki hums.
"What do you do when you're bored and want to be entertained without much effort?" You ask him.
"That specific phenomenon I'm not quite familiar with. If I'm bored, I read, practice spells, on Asgard there wasn't much time for boredom." He shrugs.
"Well, things are different on Midgard. And seeing as you hate everyone and everything about this place you may find yourself well acquainted with that specific phenomenon sooner than you might think." You say.
You gotta say you're pretty proud of your ability to interact positively with Loki. When he first started living here you never would've guessed you'd be watching movies and having silly conversations like this. He's always been rather closed off from the team but perhaps that's something you can actually work around.
*~*~*
"Loki!" You call when you catch him in the hall.
"What?" He rolls his eyes.
"Are you busy?" You ask.
"Why?" His eyes narrow suspiciously.
"Well I was meant to go to the aquarium with Thor today-"
"Thor is on Asgard." Loki says.
"Yes exactly." You nod. You weren't meant to do anything with Thor today, but it seems the key to the trickster god is minor deceptions.
"Did he forget you were going to this 'aquarium' today?"
"It would appear so. Which- I'm not mad about really but these tickets did cost money and I can't exchange them for another date so I was hoping you'd be able to replace him that way the ticket doesn't go to waste." You explain to him.
"You don't have anyone else you could ask?" He huffs.
"Not on such short notice." You shake your head.
"How short is short notice?"
"We need to be there in forty minutes."
"Oh you have got to be kidding me." Loki scoffs.
"If you come with me, when we get back I'll bake you a batch of cookies." You offer. It seems to be the easiest way to get him to do things. You watch Loki contemplate for a moment before he caves to his inner discussion although you're not sure there was much of a debate once you offered baked goods.
"Very well, I'll go so you don't waste your money, but you can't keep bringing your nonsense to me in exchange for cookies." He says.
"Of course not!" You smile knowing damn well you will be doing it again if you see fit. Loki will never admit to enjoying your company or wanting you to make him cookies, but considering he always accepts your offers and never truly complains when you're together, you know the irritation is only a front. "We'll leave in 15 minutes 'kay?"
"Very well." He says. You head back to your room to get yourself together and 15 minutes later you meet Loki by the kitchen.
"Ready Lo?" You ask.
"Yes let's get on with it." He says. You loop your arm through his as you leave the tower and you're surprised he doesn't protest the contact, but you won't bring it up. At the aquarium, you excitedly talk about all your favorite exhibits as you walk from section to section. "So what was the plan exactly?" Loki asks.
"What?"
"With Thor, why were you bringing him here in the first place?"
"Oh! Well because there's a lot he still wants to learn about Earth so I've been trying to take him places where he can learn a number of things at the same time." You shrug.
"And how is that going?"
"We've done the zoo and a couple of museums already so I'd say not bad. Oh, we're by the jellyfish, you should see the touch tank!" You say.
"The what now?" Loki frowns. You grab his hand and lead him to the shallow tank of water off to one side.
"This is a touch tank. These are jellyfish, they're like 95% water and don't have brains, some of them are dangerous, but these ones are pretty harmless and you can touch them! Only on the tops of their heads though. Like this." You lift his hand up and push down all but two of his fingers and then slowly, you guide his hand into the water. "You have to be gentle." You tell him softly as you let his fingers touch the top of a moon jelly in the pool. You turn to Loki with a small smile only to find him already looking at you very intensely.
"I'm quite gentle when I want to be." He says quietly. You step back a bit and clear your throat, dipping your own fingers in to touch a jellyfish for yourself.
"Well I hope you want to be gentle with the moon jellies. This is one of my favorite things here." You tell him.
"So anyone can just walk up and pet the jellyfish?"
"Yeah! Isn't it cool?"
"Sure." He nods.
"Wait till you see some of the other Jellyfish they've got here! They're insane!" You take his hand again and walk further into the jellyfish exhibit.
"They have more open tanks of creatures?"
"Oh- no all the other Jellyfish are in closed tanks." You giggle.
"Just as well, you said some are dangerous, no?"
"Well, yes, but aren't they just so beautiful?" You say looking at one of the tanks.
"Breathtaking." Loki says before he can help himself. He clears his throat, lucky you're so captivated with the floating water creatures that you don't even notice his eyes on you as opposed to the exhibits.
"Thank you for coming with me." You tell him.
"You bribed me."
"True- but you still could have said no. Especially since you're not even a fan of our, how do you say it? 'Mediocre Midgardian food'."
"Yes well, you pout when you're disappointed and it's incredibly displeasing to see. The whole tower suffers your moods. And while Midgardian food is mediocre yours is- the least. Plus I can rub this in Thor's face."
"I see you really weighed those pros and cons." You chuckle.
"I must. If I'm to disrupt my entire afternoon on such short notice." He shrugs. You roll your eyes and pull him through to the next exhibit but the smile on your face can't be hidden.
~*~*~
You hum to yourself as you enter the tower library.
"Good morning Loki." You say immediately spotting him on one of the lounge chairs. He's always in here, it's like his sanctuary and over the last few weeks you've found it easy to interact with him.
"It's 3pm y/n."
"It's morning somewhere Lo, time is arbitrary, don't be a grump." You shrug.
"What are you doing here anyway?" He rolls his eyes.
"Utilizing the insane collection of books we have considering there's only like 3 people living here that would ever pick up a book for from here."
"You've been coming here a lot lately."
"Why should you be the only one taking advantage of this big otherwise undisturbed room?"
"The best part of this room is that none of you come here."
"If you want to not run the risk of having to interact with anyone who lives here to might I suggest your room which has a lock on it." You smile brightly.
"Very funny." Loki scoffs.
"I thought so too!" You snap back. Loki gives you a dry look.
"Must you be so-"
"Charming? Witty? Adorable?"
"Not quite the adjectives I would've chosen." He says.
"Well next time finish your sentence." You wink at him.
"Are you trying to get under my skin?"
"Of course not! But it's pretty easy."
"Why must you bother me?" His eyes narrow.
"Maybe because you like talking to me more than you want to admit."
"And why would you think that?"
"Because you always do."
"Do what?"
"I'm sure you can figure that out." You say turning to leave the library.
"Do what y/n!?" He calls after you. "You didn't even get a book!" He shouts as the library doors close behind you. Loki frowns to himself for a moment and then decides to contact the only person he'd ever go to for advice on any subject. A looking glass spell slowly brings Frigga to life above his palm.
"Mother." He gets her attention.
"Loki?" Frigga picks up her looking glass with a smile. "Hello my darling boy. So lovely to hear from you. Thor tells me you're well."
"In the physical sense, yes." Loki nods.
"What troubles you my dear son?"
"I think Midgardian women might be more confusing than those on Asgard." Loki says.
"A woman? Do you feel for her?"
"Don't be ridiculous mother." Loki's words come out as a breathless chuckle.
"It is not ridiculous. She plagues your mind. Why, if you do not feel for her?"
"Truthfully I'm not sure." He frowns.
"Have you considered that you feel for her?"
"How would I know?"
"I believe the fact that you are asking may perhaps be a strong indicator already. This girl, do you see her often?"
"She lives here so yes." He nods.
"I mean intentionally darling." Frigga smiles.
"What?"
"Walking past her in the hallways is not quite what I'm referring to."
"Oh- well she's the least insufferable person here so- sometimes, yes. Though it's usually her bribing me to do things when her other plans fall through."
"What do you mean?"
"Well she invited me to this water creature house they call an aquarium a couple of weeks ago because Thor forgot he was meant to go with her."
"Are you sure Thor was meant to go with her?" She asks.
"I don't follow." Loki shakes his head.
"I wonder if this girl is playing tricks on my trickster." Frigga smiles knowingly.
"Do you overestimate her or underestimate me to believe I could be outsmarted by a mortal?"
"It is not a blow Loki, be calm my son. She plagues your mind when she is not there, she has made her way to a spot many people never have the pleasure of knowing within you. I believe she has stolen your heart and even you do not know it yet."
"What makes you think that?"
"In all your years Loki you have never once asked me about a girl. And this one seems to have you quite... wrapped."
"I resent that notion." He scoffs.
"What made you contact me?"
"Well she was-" Loki stops himself, his mother has already decided Loki is a goner, perhaps he shouldn't feed her any more information.
"She was with you Loki?"
"I spend a lot of time in the library. She came by and we had a short conversation that's all."
"What did she say?" Frigga asks.
"She thinks I like her more than I do. Or rather more than I will admit. I asked her why and she refused to answer."
"Well- what would lead her to believe that?"
"I have no idea." Loki scoffs.
"How is your relationship with her different than with the others?"
"I don't speak to the others. I only speak to her and Thor."
"Tell me about her."
"She is- happy, but not like Thor- his happiness is loud and aggressive she is- a calmer happiness. She seems to be crucial to the peace in this madhouse. Not for me, for everyone. She's also frustratingly smart, she has a comeback for everything and- it's nice to feel as though someone on this dreadful planet can match me- even if I find it vexing at times. Also she bakes- I don't quite enjoy Midgardian food but her treats are quite good though I refuse to tell her that-"
"I'm sure she knows." Frigga says with a soft smile.
"Why are you smiling like that."
"If you could see your face when you speak of this girl you would know like I know that your heart is no longer yours."
"My heart is very much still-"
"No darling. You may not realize but your mind has already given your heart to her. Follow your heart to her. Allow yourself to go there. It will do you good and you deserve it."
"Mother I cannot." He shakes his head.
"You can, and I suggest you do soon. If you do not tell her she has your heart you risk her unknowingly breaking it. Though I sense she is more aware than you may think. Certainly she's more aware than you are."
"You keep saying that-"
"There was no day planned with Thor. I would bet money she wanted to go with you, but you are a tricky thing. To catch fox you must think like one."
"What do I do mother? If you are right and this girl does have me, what do I do?" Loki asks.
"Be kind, be honest, be true. Don't wait too long." Frigga warns.
"Don't wait too long?" He frowns.
"Yes child, that woman will not wait forever for you to wake up."
"What if she is not waiting?"
"You misunderstand. I'm not saying she is waiting on you to come to your senses what I'm saying is that affections change one day she may not enjoy your time as she does now, someone serious may woo her and you miss your chance entirely, stars forbid it but something could happen to her or you. Do not get in your own way Loki, you have a tendency to do that."
"I do not get in my own way."
"Loki." Frigga says, leveling her son with an unimpressed look.
"I will consider your advice mother thank you." Loki cedes.
"Good. I will expect an update soon so be prepared for me to check in."
"Of course mother. Take care."
"You too my son." Frigga sets her looking glass down and Loki disconnects his end of the spell with a sigh. If Frigga is correct, Loki has much to consider, and rather quickly based on her warnings.
*~*~*
When the door to the library opens you don't bother looking up. The book you're reading is far too interesting to stop mid-page.
"What are you doing?" Loki jumps when he walks passed you. You look up momentarily, debating how badly you want to make a stupid joke.
"I'm practicing my backhand spring." You say flatly.
"You're sitting on the couch?"
"I'm also holding a book and yet you asked what I'm doing. I don't know what answer you expected honestly." You shrug.
"I just meant you're not usually sitting around in here."
"Is reading in the library that odd to you?" You chuckle.
"Well- no. I was just expecting the library to be empty." He says.
"Would you like me to leave?"
"Why would you offer to leave? You were here first."
"Yeah but I can read anywhere. Your hermit tendencies limit your spaces far more than mine."
"I am not a hermit." Loki rolls his eyes.
"Of course not." You hum.
"I'm not. I just have no desire to waste my time having unintelligent conversations with the uncultured morons that live here."
"Well don't let me bother you then."
"Not you, the others. And you can obviously stay."
"Why thank you for deeming me worthy enough to stay in your presence." You quip dramatically.
"It's not as if you care what I deem anyhow."
"True, that was sarcasm. Happy reading." You turn your attention back to your book and though Loki would like the conversation to continue he can't think of anything to say to justify pulling your focus from the book you're so clearly captivated by. You're in the library with your book for a few more hours and during that time Loki cannot help the way his eyes wander to you every so often, he doesn't even realize it's happening at first but once he does his mother's words that have been in his head for the past 2 weeks ring even louder.
~*~*~
"Y/n!" Wanda practically sings as she walks, no from the sound of it she's skipping, over to you at the kitchen island.
"Yes Wanda my dear?" You chuckle, setting your sandwich back on its plate.
"You know our coffee shop?"
"Around the block?"
"Yep!" She nods.
"What of it?"
"Well I heard through the grapevine that someone who works there has a crush on you."
"You heard- through the grapevine?" You quirk up an eyebrow at her.
"Cassie told me."
"How did you end up in that conversation?" You chuckle.
"Not the point, we should go down there!" She suggests excitedly.
"I'm eating a sandwich-"
"Not right now, tomorrow morning."
"You wanna tell me- who this mystery crush is? Because I'm not going anywhere if you don't tell me." You say biting your sandwich.
"It's Elliot."
"Oh he's cute-"
"Wanda." Vision calls as the main elevator arrives.
"Soooo we'll game plan when I get back?" She asks walking backwards.
"Fine." You shake your head and chuckle as she disappears in the elevator with Vision. You take a bite of your sandwich, presumably alone again, only to hear a throat clearing from behind you. You look over your shoulder to find Loki the source of the sound.
"Oh hi Loki." You say covering your mouth.
"Hello." He mutters.
"What brings you out of hiding today?"
"I'm not a hibernating bear you know."
"Of course not." You hum. Loki opens the fridge to grab something to drink, although it's mostly just so he can convince himself to bite the bullet and confess to you before this 'Elliot' from the coffee shop has an opportunity to turn your head like his mother warned him of.
"Do you have a moment? I know you're- eating but I'd like to talk- about something." He says awkwardly.
"Sure. I can use multiple senses at once. What's up?" You ask taking another bite of your sandwich. Loki opens his mouth a couple of times before he frowns. "Is something wrong Loki?"
"I don't know." He says, brows furrowed as he looks at the floor.
"You don't know if something's wrong? Are you dizzy? Dehydrated? Feverish? Do you need to sit down?" You sit up, concerned.
"No, I don't."
"You sure? You look kind of- constipated. I think you should sit down."
"I don't want to y/n." He grits out.
"Okay, calm down no need to get angry with me for caring."
"You said I look constipated!"
"Well you do! But only a little bit!"
"This is not going at all how I planned it?"
"What are you on about Loki?" You frown.
"Nothing it was just way easier to do this in my head."
"Easier to do what?"
"Never mind. Enjoy your lunch." Loki pivots and you almost knock over your barstool trying to stop him from leaving the kitchen.
"Not so fast god of mischief tell me what it is you're so panicked about."
"It's nothing y/n." He rolls his eyes.
"Nonsense. If it were nothing you wouldn't have made such a big deal out of it in the first place." You tell him.
"Yes, I over reacted, which is what I just realized and why I'm no longer interested in having this conversation." He says completely avoiding your gaze.
"Don't be a coward Loki." You snap.
"I beg your pardon?" His eyes widen.
"Don't be a coward. I've never known you to shy away from sharing your thoughts even when nobody asked don't tell me suddenly you're incapable of speaking your mind."
"I am far from incapable." He says.
"So spill it." You push.
"And if I don't?"
"Then you're not who I thought you were."
"Over a personal thought?" His eyebrow raises.
"It's the principle. What have you got to lose that makes you so fearful of your own voice?"
"Something I didn't even realize was important to me until recently." He says quietly.
"What's that?" You ask. Loki's eyes scan your face for a long moment, and if not for how close you are you'd swear he's holding his breath for how shallow it is.
"You." He whispers.
"I'm not going anywhere." You shake your head.
"I'm afraid you may take that back if you hear that which I refuse to say." He says.
"Is the reward worth the risk?" You ask.
"If I'm lucky."
"I'm disappointed that you see me as someone so easily run off Loki."
"That's not what this is." He shakes his head.
"No? It sounds like it."
"Do you see me as somebody that could be loved?"
"Of course I do. Thor loves you unconditionally. Your mother too from what I've heard."
"Do you see me as somebody that could be loved, by you?" This question is far more hesitant.
"Is that what you want?"
"In time, yes." He nods and a stray giggle escapes your lips.
"That's what you thought would drive me away?!" You shake your head. "Maybe you haven't noticed but I put quite a bit of effort into creating time to spend with you."
"Oh come on it's mostly coincidence, your friends canceling or Thor forgetting you had plans."
"You silly trickster. I chose to spend that time with you." You say.
"To be clear- does that mean you're as taken with me as I am with you?" Loki asks.
"You're taken with me?!" You blink at him in shock.
"Yes was I not clear about-"
"I'm joking Loki I just wanted to hear you say it directly." You smile.
"You vex me." He breathes out.
"And yet you like me anyway. Even more than I expected."
"Don't boast."
"How can I not?" You ask.
"I can think of a few ways to stop you."
"You can try Loki but I'm not so easily swayed." You taunt. Loki's hand comes up to your cheek and he kisses you. His lips are soft and he kisses you as if he's got all the time in the world. When Loki pulls away your eyes flutter open with surprise.
"How's that for sway?" He smirks.
"I'll admit that wasn't a terrible start." You breathe.
"Oh yeah?" Loki lifts you into his arms suddenly and you squeal in surprise as he carries you to his room. He lays you gently on his bed and kisses you again. "Not a terrible start is not enough." He hums trailing to your neck, peppering your throat with kisses and light nibbles. Loki pulls your shirt over your head. "Stars above you're beautiful." He mutters trailing his fingers delicately across your newly exposed skin.
"I'm not a flower you know." You giggle, the soft touches making you feel ticklish.
"What do you mean?" He frowns.
"Nothing bad. You're just being much more gentle than I'd have expected." You tell him caressing his face. He pauses for a moment as you trace his features.
"Do you remember what I said at the aquarium?"
"About the hammerhead shark reminding you of-"
"No about being gentle you silly girl." He says with a disbelieving chuckle.
"Oh! Yes that you can be when you want to be."
"Precisely."
"I didn't realize it applied elsewhere."
"Do you not like gentle?"
"Gentle is good." You shake your head. "Just unexpected." You smile. Loki returns your smile and leans down to press kisses down your abdomen. He pulls your shorts and panties off together, kissing your calf ones you're freed from the fabric. Loki's eyes are on you as his lips glide up your leg, opened mouthed kisses until he reaches your thigh where he bites at the skin, just enough for you to feel it. With one last kiss to your hip, Loki buries his face in your heat. You gasp at the first feel of his tongue against your center. His movements are unhurried as he watches your reactions to his mouth. When he finds the rhythm that you react the strongest to he sticks to it, enjoying the whimpers and moans he pulls from you and the way your body grinds against him.
"Oh god." You pant, one hand tangling in his hair. When you feel two of his fingers slowly glide into your entrance and curl upwards your eyes shoot open with a whine that makes Loki hum against you. You glance down at him, surprised to see his green eyes peering up at you with something akin to adoration shining in them and despite the pleasure building in your belly all you can think about for a brief moment is how... pretty he looks. Of course, that train of thought is lost when Loki wraps his lips around your clit, focusing his attention on the sensitive bundle of nerves. Between his tongue and his fingers you don't have a chance of staving off the orgasm that washes over you soon after. Loki works you through it, only pulling away when your breathing starts to steady.
"You are a vision in the heat of release you know." He says a hand on your chin to guide your attention.
"No, I did not know that." You smile reaching up to undress Loki. You pull his shirt over his head, littering his chest with kisses as you undo his pants but don't pull them down. You slip your hand into the waistband of his underwear stroking his hard hot dick.
"F-fucking hell you might be the death of me." Loki breathes out shuddering beneath your touch.
"I sure hope not. I quite like you alive you know." You joke with a giggle. Loki grabs your wrist and shakily pulls your hand from him.
"Right, if this goes on I'll embarrass myself." He says with a slight chuckle shifting to pull his pants down enough to free himself. He lines himself with your entrance and slowly works himself passed your walls with short rolling thrusts, deeper each time.
"That's nothing to be embarrassed about you know Loki." You tell him, admittedly a bit winded as he fills you.
"Maybe not, but I'll admit it's not ideal for our first time together." He groans as he bottoms out.
"Don't get caught up in expectations Loki." You tell him.
"Only my own darling." He says. Loki holds still for a few moments, allowing you to adjust to his size, only moving when you begin to grind against him.
"Move, Loki, please." You groan. Loki lets out a breath as he starts a steady rhythm. He's immediately a string of groans and curses in your ear as he fucks you, his sounds mingling with yours beautifully.
"Gods you feel even better than I could've imagined." He pants out between thrusts.
"Don't stop baby. God you feel so good." You moan, grinding up against his hips to meet his movements. Loki reaches between your bodies and his fingers find your clit, rubbing tight circles against the bud that turn your quiet moans to loud whines.
"Come on darling, I want to feel you cum on my dick. Please y/n- let go for me." Loki coaxes, kissing at your throat again and it doesn't take long for your body to tense with the feeling of another orgasm. Loki groans deeply as your walls tighten around him from your release.
"Did you like that Loki? Feeling my pussy clench from cumming for you? You're close aren't you? Come on baby, cum for me."
Loki's thrusts speed up a bit, then falter, and stall altogether moments later as you feel the heat of his release inside you. Loki kisses your shoulder gently as he comes down from his orgasm, your fingers stroking his hair a comfort he wouldn't have thought he'd enjoy.
"You know- I know you were trying to get me to stop boasting but if boasting always ends with us like this I'm inclined to do it more often." You say after a few moments of silence and Loki chuckles against your neck.
"Boasting is not a prerequisite my darling." He says sitting up. Loki conjures a damp cloth and gently dabs first your face, then your neck, and carefully between your legs before helping you into his shirt.
"Well what is?" You ask.
"There isn't one you tricky girl." He chuckles pulling you into his chest.
"How am I the tricky one here?"
"You caught the fox, I think that's worth some tricky points."
"What fox? Are you the fox?"
"Mhm." He nods.
"Well- then that's by far the best thing I've ever caught." You smile up at him.
"The fox isn't complaining either." He hums and you cuddle closer to him. This hadn't exactly been your original gameplan with Loki but this is way better than any outcome you could've expected.

SWEET GIRL
• NANAMI KENTO X F!READER SMUT ONESHOT
• SUMMARY: You're exhausted from work, and so, you slip into your safe space, and ask your "daddy" to help relieve some of your stress.
• CW: age reg., daddy kink, Kento calls you, "sweetheart," "princess," & "little one,", creampie, cunninglingus. (p.s. I use "little space" incorrectly, I apologize about that. I'll do better in the future!!!)
• WC: 1.7k
Tumblr media
Nanami Kento always understood what it meant to have a bad day at work.
He always understood the exhaustion and the headache that came with it—hell, he was an expert in dealing with it, which is why he understood why you often had to slip into your "little space" after a terrible day at work.
He understands that his girl needs to be taken care of and pampered. You always pamper him whenever he has a bad day, so it's honestly the least he can do while you're in your little space.
"There we go, sweetheart." A smile graces Kento's face when he hands you your stuffed animal.
He finds you cute and endearing whenever you're surrounded in bed by your stuffed animals. Your gleeful smile is what makes this all worth it to him.
"Thank you, daddy," you respond in a sweet manner, pitching your voice higher up. He feels his heart thrum in his chest at how adorable you look right now, laying in the bed, under your pink covers with big, fluffy, stuffed animals on your left and right.
"It's my pleasure, sweet girl," Kento hums and he leans over, planting a kiss on your forehead.
You beam a bright smile at him, and he feels his legs go weak. He'd do anything for you, he thinks, because he loves seeing you happy.
"Now, do you need anything else before I let you go to sleep?" Kento asks, crossing his arms while looking at you.
Caring, soft, brown eyes watch you as you think for a minute. A shy look graces your expression as you slowly sit up; stuffed animals fall from your sides as you adjust in the bed.
"I know we jus' made the bed, daddy, but uhm… wanna play…"
Kento notices your soft and shy tone, and he smiles warmly that you still would like to "play" with him, despite getting all comfortable in your bed.
Kento obliges easily as he starts to unbutton his blue collared shirt. He slips off his tie with it, taking in no thought in saying no to you as he undresses.
He strips down to his underwear, leaving himself in his briefs before approaching the bed.
Slowly, he crawls on top of you and he smiles, taking in your little features—how you have your hair tied up into a braid, your cute baby tee you have on, and your sweet pink panties that have a cute little lace bow on them—he feels happy that this makes you happy, reverting to an age where you feel like you have no responsibilities or a care in the world. He supports you in every aspect, and wants to take care of you in every way, even if you're like this.
He gently reaches out and caresses your face; a soft smile tugs on his lips when he sees you nuzzle into his hand.
"Little one, do you want me to take off your clothes for you?" He asks, gently.
His gentle nature is much appreciated by you as you let out a soft hum—pensively, for a moment—but ultimately you shake your head, deciding that the clothes will help you stay in your little state better.
"No, daddy. Just m'panties, please."
Kento offers you yet another warm and gentle smile, one that he knows makes your heart leap.
You always told him how comforting you found his smiles, even if he didn't smile often, you found his smile to be one of the best things to be comforted by. His smile is gentle, and sincere. He never smiles in a fake way, at least, not around you, so whenever you can get a smile out of him, you always find it special, and you hold it dear to your heart.
His smile is especially potent in moments like these—where you're in your little space. It makes your heart leap because you know your daddy is so willing and eager to take care of you and set your mind at ease. You know that he knows that you find his smile so endearing and comforting, so it's especially important to you.
His large hands slip under your body and turns you over so you're laying on your stomach. He hums at the sight of you, so sweet, as you grab a pillow and hug it.
You feel the weight of the large man shift behind you, placing his legs at between yours while his hands grip your thighs and pushes them open.
Then, you feel a pair of soft lips start to kiss your shoulders, slowly and gently, making their way across your body in a skilled and calculated manner as your daddy knows exactly where and how to make you shiver, and ways to make your toes curl.
He does exactly that as his lips map your body, finding where "X" marks the spot on each side of your neck, the spot between your shoulder blades, the middle of your back, and just above your bottom that makes your breath hitch.
God. The sound of your breath and the little sighs you make makes his cock stir in his briefs. He grunts at the sudden stimulation, but regardless, he continues his trek with his mouth, kissing down, and down, and down… until his nose is buried between your pretty, plump ass-cheeks, and situated above your fluttering folds.
He hums, pleased at the sight, and with his large hands he grips the globes of your ass and begins to slowly lick at the center, brushing the flat of his tongue over your pretty folds.
You shiver and your toes curl from the sudden touch.
Kento smirks, knowing he's reached another spot that "X" marks.
He resumes without a second thought, the flat of his tongue licks slow, and long licks over your pussy, testing the waters for how sensitive you are.
Lucky for him, you seem to be very sensitive today as your toes curls and you whimper with almost every lick that Kento gives you.
His grip on your ass tightens, suddenly, and his eyebrows furrow as he shifts into being more focused. His tongue, slips between your folds, the fat of his tongue fills you so well, making you let out a moan.
Your grip on your pillow tightens and you whine.
"Daddy…"
Kento hums in acknowledgment, pleased at your choice of words as he continues to slowly move his tongue in and out of you.
You moan with every thrust of his tongue, and your hips arch into his face.
Kento lets out a hot breath against your pussy as his tongue darts in and out at a faster pace, earning more and more moans from you. His ears perk up as he listens to your moans, and his cock twitches again.
Fuck.
You sound so good, Kento can hardly contain himself. He grunts as he removes his tongue from your pussy—
"Daddy!" You chide him, but you're quickly shut up when Kento locks his lips around your clit and sucks.
"Oooooh!"
If Kento could've smirked, he would've. He's glad that he can get you to react like this, just by using his lips. It's so easy to get you to squirm, to whine, and to moan, and fuck, does it make him hard that he's the one who can give you this much pleasure.
He gets so hard on knowing that he's doing this to you, so hard that his lips are making you feel this good.
"D-Daddy! S-Somthin'… is happenin'!" You squeal, and you bury your face into the pillow as you start to pant.
Kento takes this as a cue to suck harder, and, just like that, you're cumming. You moan, loudly, and your body jolts and shivers, squirming as you cum onto Kento's tongue.
"Mmm…" He groans, and slowly licks up that creamy, white liquid that spills from your pussy before pulling away. He sits up on his knees and begins to pull his underwear down.
His eyes remain on your body as he pulls down his briefs, brown eyes locked onto your figure while you try to regain your breath.
"Daddy's gonna use his big parts on your little parts now, alright, princess?" He says, gently, and he chuckles when he sees that all you can do is nod.
" 'Kay…" You murmur, blinking slowly.
With that, Kento grips his cock and, with a grunt, he pushes the tip against your pussy, feeling the wet mess that lies there.
His eyes roll back as he stimulates himself for a moment, but it's quickly interrupted by his frustrated girl.
"Daddy…" Your tone is sharp, and unforgiving.
Kento chuckles, "Forgive me, princess."
With that, hoping you'd forgive him, he slowly pushes in. His thick, long cock slowly fills you, making you whine.
"O-Oooh… D-Daddy…"
Kento smiles, though his jaw drops quickly once he feels himself bottom out in you.
Fuck.
Your tight, little pussy makes Kento's balls throb, and he swallows thickly. On top of that, you calling him daddy makes him elated, simply because he knows that this is making you feel good.
He swallows thickly, and he leans down so his chest is pressed against your back. His lips meet your skin on your shoulder, and slowly, he starts to thrust, rolling his hips into yours.
You think he feels so delicious as his cock slowly fills you with each roll of his hips, as it allows for your brain to turn off for a good few minutes, reveling in the feeling of euphoria clouding your head.
Sweet moans escape your mouth as Kento fills you, and fills you, and fills you—hitting that delectable spit every single time.
He feels so good, you think to yourself as you begin to babble under your breath, taking in the feeling of everything—how close he is to you, and how his cock fits so perfectly inside of you like you were made for him—it's all so perfect.
Though, soon, Kento's perfect, slow rhythm begins to become erratic as he lets out short, panting breaths. He swallows thickly and buries his nose into your neck as his large hands fist the bedsheets on each side of you.
"Close…" He murmurs into your neck and groans, though, his eyes light up when he hears you murmur the same.
With a few more thrusts, Kento finishes, shortly followed by you as you both release a loud moan, and heavy breaths.
Kento spills into you—hot and heavy—and then pulls out, slowly, wishing he could stay buried inside you forever, but he knows that's unlikely.
"Felt so good, princess…" Kento murmurs into your neck. You hum, contently, and a smile graces your face.
He smiles.
"Mmm, that's my sweet girl."

Silly stupid idea
You've known the turtles for less than a year and they told you that there's a few weeks in spring they have intense training and cannot have guests. You accept this and ask no questions about it. You're hanging out, playing cards after dinner and chilling. The few weeks are coming soon and you're trying to get more hang time with them.
Tumblr media
Splinter enters the kitchen. He watches the five of you play for a bit before getting something out of the cupboards and glancing at the calendar. "Ah, is it already March? Have you boys warned Y/N about those upcoming weeks?"
Leonardo looks up and over to his father, "Yes, we told her about the intense spring training we'll be doing. She knows we'll call her when we're finished."
You glance up and see the brothers exchange looks that are subtle, but you've been getting better at picking up their body language.
Splinter makes a huff in his throat. "Ah, spring training, yes." He comes closer to the table, eyeing Leo's cards. "Training your wrists and testing my patience."
Michelangelo spits soda out of his nose and Donatello chokes on the snacks he was eating. You look around confused. Leo scrambles and quickly adds, "Yeah, Sensei, the weapons training can get pretty serious." He stares his father down, his face trying to remain neutral, but you can see his eyes twitch just slightly.
Splinter makes that huff noise again. It almost sounds like a scoff. "Weapons training, yes." He reaches across the table for a handful of pretzels as Mikey wipes the soda off his cards and Raph pats Donnie's chest.
Splinter munches one as the table gets uncomfortably quiet. He looks over to you. "You know, Raphael and Leonardo almost killed each other one year. I will never forget. It was the beginning of the season and we had just watched a movie. What was it? It had that one actress in it."
Mikey, not thinking, answers, "The Terminator."
"Yes, The Terminator. The action movie about robots with that muscle hero man from Europe. I thought it would be safe, you know, but Leonardo and Raphael got into this huge argument about the actress. Oh, her name was Hampton, something Hampton."
"Linda Hamilton." Mikey corrects. Raph reaches over and socks him in the arm. "Hey!"
"Yes! Linda Hamilton. They got in this huge fight about her and they started to yell and then it turned into a wrestling match and then they started to bellow at each other. Do you remember that, boys?" Splinter chuckled.
Leo and Raph looked mortified, but Mikey was laughing. "Yeah, Don and I had to pry them apart, there was blood everywhere."
"We were fifteen," Leo said through practically gritted teeth, "That was a long time ago, Sensei. We don't do that anymore. Spring training is a lot easier now. We don't get as competitive."
Splinter chuckled again. "Those first seasons were so rough. You boys were all over the place, so angry, so intense, and the smell. Ugh. I am so glad that you are more controlled these days."
"We're not teens anymore, Dad. We know how t' train without fighting about it." Raphael said, adding emphasis on the word train.
Splinter nodded his head, biting into another pretzel, a pensive look on his face. "This is true. You are all grown now, and I only grow older." He patted you on the shoulder as he made his move to depart. "Maybe next year one of you will invite Ms. Y/N to your spring training so that I will enjoy some grand-kids before I die, hmmm?"
As he made his way from the table, you turned and blinked, utterly confused and seeing mortified faces on all four turtles.

Platonic dynamics I want to see more in the (tiny) Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons fandom:
Jack being like an older brother to Hiccup and sort of seeing an older version of Jamie in him and not scoffing at how nerdy he is ("holy crap you MADE this? Man show me how it works!!")
Rapunzel post-her-movie being all gung-ho and cheery, and Merida trying to get her to stop being so naïve, only for Rapunzel to calmly list all the ways she was betrayed and abused throughout her adventures (and you'd only have to go through the canon events of the movie and show to make this work, btw, girl's been through STUFF) and tells Merida she is upbeat and kind because she chooses to believe that most people are good, because so many people stuck with her through so much and so many people came back to her after betraying her. And Merida is like "well dang ok, wanna learn to shoot a bow"
Jack being calm, responsible, and protective of the others without becoming too angsty in the process- playing harmless little pranks to bring everyone's spirits up, that sort of thing
Merida being annoyed by Jack at first, but it's because she misses her brothers, not because she categorically dislikes the pranks. She tells Jack this and he asks her to join him doing pranks. She has much more fun after this.
Rapunzel is good at many things, but not so much inventing, as we see in TTS; her trying to assist Hiccup and him being good-natured about it but entirely accidentally outclassing her
Jack very deliberately keeping his past and loneliness to himself, and the others figuring out something's off because they never catch him sleeping, he's pensive when he's not interacting with them, he's got such wide and extensive experience, and he starts admitting bits and pieces like "I'm older than I look" etc etc
Jack never openly getting angry with the kids because they're kids and he's a Guardian, so instead when one of them is upset or trying to pick a fight with him, his staff will glow brighter or it'll get cloudier or windier or snowier- his magic responds, but Jack refuses to, making his calm all the more scary.
Jack being the first to realize Rapunzel has been through Stuff and sitting down with her when the other two are asleep "what happened to you?" entirely gently and patiently because HE'S A GOOD BIG BROTHER DANGIT I WANT THIS SIDE OF HIM TO SHOW MORE-
Hiccup worrying/getting upset/doing that I Have To Stand Alone thing and Rapunzel approaching him like "you're not the only one who grew up alone, you know. It's okay to rely on us, we won't let you down"
Hiccup doing the I Have To Stand Alone thing in general cause I don't see that a lot in crossovers or at least the arts
The others finding Jack in weird places because super-balance go brr
Jack being reluctant to touch any of the kids for any reason because he doesn't want to see the way they treat him change once they realize how cold and inhuman he really is
Merida recognizing Jack immediately as the only other obviously competent fighter by the way he moves (she was raised around all manner of warriors and guards, after all) and immediately setting about allying herself with him because Heaven knows they all need as much protection as they can get
Merida helping Hiccup to have a moment like he has in the HTTYD books where he realizes he's actually a really amazing swordfighter when he actually uses his dominant hand
Hiccup and Rapunzel asking Merida and Jack what siblings are like
Jack just treating them all like his little siblings
Jack and Merida gathering ingredients together and, depending on the region, Jack teaching Merida the safe local vegetation and herbs because he's been everywhere. Also, Jack teaching the others how to cook with local ingredients
Jack knowing a lot about herbal medicine and helping and teaching the others
After much internal deliberation, Jack choosing Hiccup to hold his staff while he takes care of two-handed tasks
Jack knowing how to style hair because of Mary, and he and Merida helping Rapunzel tame her hair

Untethered
part 2 of Understanding
Summary: As you and Aegon grow closer, thoughts of the future leave you more uneasy than ever. The questions of war and marriage are foes you cannot escape, especially when influenced by the other greens.
Warnings: plot deviations (mainly the implication that helaena isn't married to aegon and her twins being someone else's ik it'd make canonical sesne for aegon to be able to have 2 wives, especially as king, but this is just a way to make the greens more desperate for aegon to get married and produce an heir), ethics?, and canon compliant incest (reader is rhaenyra’s daughter)
----
There is nothing crueler than a lack of conviction. Your mother and family are preparing for a war that seems to grow more inevitable by the day, Aegon spends his days planning retaliations and strategizing ways to strengthen his feeble claim to the throne, and you are left at a standstill.
The worry and guilt meld together in your veins, the unease pulling you from reality. It doesn't matter that you're currently sitting in the library, away from the Hightowers--away from Aegon. Your current distance cannot undue what has already been done.
You did not mean to care for Aegon, you did not want to care for Aegon. How are you supposed to go home and look your mother in the eye while knowing that you welcomed her usurper into your childhood apartments like an old friend? That you allowed him to sleep in your bed? That you--that you allowed him to kiss you?
You blink, eyes focusing on the pages in front of you. Your mother, your siblings, Daemon, Rhaena Baela--you have to assume that they're all fine. You cannot allow a moment's curiosity to send you down a spiral.
And Aegon--there is no point in worrying about Aegon. As of now, the Red Keep is his. He's safe here, and with the realm so divided, no one is going to suggest sending him anywhere.
"I should have known you'd be here." You blink, head turning towards the stacks. Aegon's standing between rows of books, only a few steps away from the table you've claimed as your own. "I checked your apartments first, foolish of me."
He's watching you, a soft smile playing at his lips. You latch onto that. "I haven't been here that long."
Aegon takes a step forward, his attention shifting away from you and towards the few books stacked neatly by your side. "No...it seems I'm only about 3 books late."
His grin becomes a more certain thing as he moves towards your table. He pulls out the chair next to yours. Instead of sitting right away, Aegon leans forward, his lips pressing against yours.
The kiss is as warm as it is jarring. Knowing that you should stop this is not enough to rid you of the desire to melt into his touch. He pulls back before you can truly react. "Aegon."
He grins, keeping his body angled towards you as he sits. "We're the only ones in here."
Despite his reassurance, your eyes still drift towards the stacks blocking off your seats from the rest of the library. Maybe your tendency to choose secluded seating areas as a way of avoiding as many skeptical glances as possible is paying off. You look at Aegon again, nodding your head slowly.
His smile slowly falls. "Are you alright?"
You can't imagine that he wants to hear about the way you worry about your family and the guilt you feel for wanting to be around him. If anything, telling him about what's concerning you may alienate him. There's nothing trustworthy about an untethered heart.
You nod again, this time the motion more direct. "Yes." You sit up a little straighter in an attempt to feel more connected to what's in front of you. "I'm just a little tired."
His eyebrows pinch together briefly. The look is so pensive you have to work at not squirming. After a beat, he softens. He leans towards you, voice dropping to just above a whisper as he asks, "Did something keep you from your sleep last night, Princess?"
The suggestive lilt to Aegon's voice leaves your skin warmer than it was moment ago. His smugness is only encouraged by your silence. "Someone, actually."
"Really?" He grins, an elbow coming onto the table to prop up his chin. "Do tell."
You hum once, pretending to need to think through your response. "There's not much to tell." Your eyebrows draw together as you mime contemplating even further. "He was quite tiresome. He was so talkative it made it difficult for me, of all people, to find sleep."
Aegon's glare makes it difficult for you to not laugh. "Very funny." Before you can facetiously thank him for recognizing your sense of humor, Aegon continues, "I'm curious, is that why you crawled onto my lap last night? To shut me up?"
The blood in your veins turns to ice. An uneasy heat burns its way through your chest and up your neck. Despite being aware of your solitude, your eyes instinctually dart towards the stacks behind Aegon. "I did--I was not on your lap."
He relaxes in his seat, raising his eyebrows as he presses his lips together in a way that does little to disguise his smirk. "That's not the way I recall it."
In an attempt to ignore the lingering warmth still burning your skin, you roll your eyes. Despite his attempts at flustering you, you're still glad for his company.
"If it is sleep you desire," Aegon's arm moves towards the table, a book you hadn't noticed in his grasp, "Perhaps this can help." You glance between him and the book curiously. "It's a collection of some of the most notable accounts of dragons and what they accomplished with their riders." He pauses, lips briefly pressing together. "I'm sure you're familiar with some of the stories, but this is an updated volume."
He--Aegon--After missing your family for so long, such a personal and genuine gesture nearly makes your eyes sting. As a child, when you spent the most time around Aegon, all you ever wanted to do was recount stories of the most fearsome dragons. As you grew, the interest never left you, you just learned to talk about it less.
There's something so comforting about being understood like this. "You brought me a book on dragon history?"
He's staring at his hands. "In the first few pages, there's an illustration of a dragon that looks a lot like Eveningstar."
You beam, opening the book. "I love it."
The corner of his mouth pulls itself upwards. "Yeah?" His hands come to rest on the table's hardwood surface. Aegon shifts forward, his knee brushing against yours. "Read to me?"
You nod, turning the pages until you find the start of the first chapter. "Balerion the Black Dread."
The story is one you know well. Balerion's time with Daenys the Dreamer, Balerion being one of five dragons to escape Dragonstone, Balerion's conquests with Aegon's namesake.
As you read, Aegon moves closer. His breath is a warm, barely there thing against the side of your neck. You know better than to give him the satisfaction of a reaction, concentrating on the words in front of you.
Sensing your determination to ignore him, Aegon lifts a hand away from the table. You tense, but continue to read. He finds a strand of loose strand of hair that's fallen past your shoulder. He pulls the strand back, fingers lingering against your collarbone.
Your own lungs betray you, your breath briefly catching itself in your throat. "Aegon."
"What?" He doesn't move away, he doesn't even bother to stop smoothing back your hair. "You're the most honorable princess in the realm, surely you're not this easily distracted."
Your face warms. The years you've dedicated to being the ideal princess, the heir's perfect daughter in hopes of preventing being a source of controversy in debates of your mother's claim cannot be taken away so easily. You can't compromise who you are now, not over something you barely understand. "I'm not distracted." The defense rings weak in your ears.
"Perfect," he hums, hand settling against your shoulder, "Then we shouldn't have an issue."
Aegon leans forward, his lips brushing against the exposed skin of your shoulder. Your stomach knots in a way that you do not comprehend. Confusion and hesitant curiosity are not enough to keep you from what you know. You stiffen, pulling back slightly. Your movements aren't a true rejection, but they're enough to indicate your surprise.
He's grinning. "We're still alone."
His easygoingness is infectious. You only manage to hold onto your frown for a few seconds before your smile is matching his own. "You're incorrigible." The words lack any malice.
Maybe in another life, another world in which your mother's status as heir could be easily accepted, things could have been different. A new wave of guilt crashes into you, this one less certain than the others. You're a traitor to your mother for caring about him, and a traitor to Aegon for wishing that you cared less.
"Keep trying, I'm sure you'll crack me eventually."
Your smile broadens. His presence is such a welcomed warmth, you're briefly overwhelmed by how happy you are that he's here, safe and in your presence. The feeling comes close to dislodging the worry from your chest. You lean into that. "I'm glad you're here."
Aegon's eyebrows draw together, his eyes searching yours. You're not sure what he's looking for in your expression, but he seems to find it because after a beat he's smiling again. "I should visit you during the day more often."
Your thumb slowly leafs through the edge of the book's pages. "No--I mean--yes, I'm glad you're here with me, but I'm also glad you're here, as in somewhere safe." You pause, the words attempting to stick to the back of your throat. "Where I know nothing bad is going to happen to you."
His silence digs at you. An expression of such concern, a reminder of your reality is a misstep you're not sure you can recover from. The nail of your thumb presses itself between the pages in front of you. "You worry about me?"
You blink. "Sometimes." Letting out a careful breath, you turn your head enough to look at him. "When I let myself think about life beyond King's Landing."
Aegon's expression is somber in a way that doesn't suit him. His hand reaches for yours. "Anyone would be a fool to attack us with Vhagar guarding the city." You let him squeeze your palm to his. "And as far as life beyond King's Landing, I have no intention to leave anytime soon. Not with everything worth my attention already within reach."
The comment is such a blatant attempt at flattery, you should be annoyed. Instead, you feel the corner of your mouth pull itself into a smile. "Worthy of your attention? I'm honored."
He eases at that, his thumb dragging itself across his knuckles. "What happened to being worried sick over me?"
You roll your eyes, but make no attempt to pull away. "You're exaggerating."
"I," he sighs, "Am mortally wounded."
You fight an instinctual grin, lips pressing together to keep your expression measured as you turn in your seat. Your eyes land on the stacks before you can look at Aegon. Some half thought out comment about his theatrics lodges itself in the back of your throat.
Standing where the shelves part, expression harsh in its blankness, is Alicent Hightower. You take your hand back as quickly as possible, spine straightening in an attempt to create as much distance as possible. Aegon's eyebrows pull together, but before he can ask, Alicent clears her throat.
He moves his arm back before angling himself forward. You force yourself to stare at book in front of you. How long has Alicent been standing there? Was she waiting to witness some kind of mistake or has she already seen one?
"Pardon me." She steps forward, her voice flat. "I did not mean to impose." Alicent glances at her son before allowing her stare to find you.
"There is no imposition." Aegon's voice is measured, his certainty in the casualness of the situation bleeding into each syllable. "I'm only here to show her a book."
Her eyebrows pinch together, "A book?"
The skepticism coating her words makes it nearly impossible to remain still. An uncomfortable warmth begins to crawl up your neck. "We were discussing it." The look she gives you is far from one that indicates any extent of belief. In all honesty, you can't even fault her for her suspicions. You clasp your hands beneath the table, keeping your expression as polite as possible as you hesitantly tack on her title, "Your Highness."
She watches you for another beat before turning her attention back to her eldest son. "Alright. Aegon, your brother is looking for you. Apparently, you were supposed to meet, but clearly, you lost track of time."
Aegon, still completely unbothered by his mother's surprise appearance, relaxes in his seat. "Meetings with Aemond are more rigorous than meetings with the entire Small Council, I apologize for not being eager to begin yet another conversation about Vhagar's uses."
Alicent's stare turns into something distinctly pointed and maternal. With that, Aegon stands. "I should not keep him waiting any longer." He rests a hand on the back of your chair. "Once you're finished here, maybe you should find Helaena. I'm sure she'd enjoy the company."
While enjoying Aegon's company may make you feel like a viper turning against her own blood, you're certain your mother would never have a problem with you spending time with Helaena. As children, you would often run through the gardens with her, listening diligently whenever she'd tell you about any creature that caught her eye.
Presently, she's been a constant beacon of positivity. Before you grew closer to Aegon, she'd often comfort you whenever worry and loneliness lunged at your heart. Even when you couldn't understand the phrases she'd speak to you, you could always tell that they were meant to be optimistic, the words usually implying something about a kinder future.
You nod. "Alright, I will."
With that, Aegon straightens. He offers you a final glance before walking forward. You watch as he disappears between the shelves, leaving you alone with his mother.
Alicent's presence has never been a simple thing to you. Even as a child, whenever you became the object of your grandsire's easily fleeting attention, Alicent's appearances often made you feel the need to put on a performance of sorts, like each casual question and polite smile was an attempt to find some flaw in you.
You're sure she'll either leave or give you an excuse to disappear after some passive aggressive comment masked behind a proper dismissal. You wait as casually as you can manage, your hands clasped together tightly beneath the table.
She straightens slightly, her hands coming together in front of her. "My son seems to have taken an interest in you." The sentence, though spoken much too factually to be an accusation, leaves you on edge. "And he rarely takes an interest in much."
The nail of your thumb digs into your hand. "I'm not sure I'd say he--"
"I know my children, I know the way Aegon is." Though jarring, the interruption is welcome. You weren't sure were you were going with your defense. "And as of late, he has been...different." She takes a breath. "I understand your mother has raised you with certain ambitions, expectations." Your expression hardens at that. "But you've always been an intelligent young woman, I'm sure at least a part of you understands our duty to the realm."
The sentiment is a reflection of the same placating speech you've witnessed others deliver to your mother again and again. Contrasting iterations of the same general warning--the men of the realm will never bend their knee to a woman. Those that remind your mother of this always choose to forget that those same men they're so worried about had once bent their knee to swear obeisance to her.
You've promised yourself that you'd get through your time in the Red Keep by remaining as neutral as possible. Your position is precarious enough without you adding to the fire. But this is an argument you've heard so many times before. "My mother intends to create a new order."
Alicent sighs before falling silent. When she finally speaks again, her words shock you, "Perhaps she will." Your surprise renders you incapable of responding. "Or perhaps Aegon's claim to the throne will be upheld. In all honesty, I do not know."
She takes a small step forward. Something behind her expression shifts, the stoic set of her features cracking enough to reveal something heavier. "But I do know how this will end for you. The men will fight, they will render their decision, and no matter who sits the Iron Throne, you will still have a royal womb."
Her eyes are wider, shinier than you've ever seen them. The expression makes her appear smaller. "No matter the order of things, a noble woman will still need to continue her family's line. A Targaryen woman, even more than most."
She blinks in an attempt to vanish whatever honesty had overtaken her. It doesn't work, the lingering somberness somehow making her appear younger, perhaps even similar to the version of her that had once been her mother's friend. The thought of her as a girl not much different than you, with dreams and friendships meant to last a lifetime built within the walls of the Red Keep, twists your stomach.
She had been around your age when she married your grandsire, hadn't she? You dismiss the thought, pressing your lips together. "Any match you are attempting to push me towards would only strengthen your family's claim to the throne."
"I won't insult you by pretending a union between you and Aegon wouldn't help unify dividing lines or that you have not already proven yourself a beneficial influence on him." Her voice feels flat.
Alicent's eyes find yours, but the longer you stare at her the less you see. "I am not speaking to you as a queen, or as a mother. I am speaking to you as a woman. There are fates much worse than wedding a man that cares for you."
She nods once, expression still unsettlingly vulnerable as she turns to leave. Alicent disappears behind the stacks, the even sound of her footsteps growing softer until you're completely alone again.
Once you're certain that she's beyond the library's threshold, you turn your attention back to the book in front of you. Alicent's words will mean nothing to you, you'll make sure of it.
----
Wide eyes stare up at you, their innocence adding a soft glow to violet irises. Jaehaerys blinks at you before stretching his arms out towards you.
The gesture is so simple, so familiar it's nearly dizzying. All of your brothers had been babes once, and now some of them are old enough to prepare to fight, to die. And the ones that are still small might grow up seeing you as a traitor and not the older sister that helped cradle them through fussy nights and cared for them.
"He wants you," Helaena says, her attention briefly shifting away from the little girl on her lap.
Her gentle prompting is enough to bring you back to the present. You nod, abandoning your own seat in favor of approaching the little prince. You bend down, carefully lifting Jaehaerys before settling him on your hip. He takes to you easily, smiling as his tiny fingers curl into the fabric of your dress's sleeve. The gesture is terribly heartwarming.
"He likes you," she hums, her voice soft as she smooths circles against Jaehaera's back. "That's a good thing. He's particular."
You cannot imagine him being difficult. "Oh, I don't know, he seems forgiving." You sway slightly, the repetitive movement something you vaguely remember your younger siblings liking. "It's been some time since I've seen my youngest brothers."
She presses her lips together in a sympathetic sort of smile. "The morning star takes its time reaching its place."
The phrase means very little to you, but the sentiment of it is clear enough. Something of patience, of things eventually falling into place. "It does."
Helaena smiles again, this time the look a little warmer.
You let your attention return to Jaehaerys. He's still content, one hand holding onto you and the other gripping a wooden toy. "Do you like it?" You're not sure what shocks you more, your words or how much you mean them. "Motherhood..." Your mind forces out the second part of your question without your permission, "Marriage?"
Her lips part, but before she can say anything, the doors behind her creak open. Your hold on Jaehaerys tightens as you turn your head.
The doors are still parted when your eyes lock. You look away from Aegon immediately, focus falling to the babe on your hip. He continues forward, greeting you both before stopping a few paces behind Helaena's seat.
His gaze finds you again, this time his eyes expressing a familiarity you cannot bring yourself to reciprocate. "You're with the twins." Aegon steps past his sister's chair, turning himself towards her. "Helaena, do you need the princess's assistance, or can I steal her from you?"
She straightens slightly, "You can have her. Alyce will be here soon to help put the children to bed."
Your eyebrows draw together skeptically. Why ask Helaena before asking you? "Steal me?" You smooth a hand against Jaehaerys's back. "For what?"
"Every day I hear complaints about Eveningstar."
Your eyes narrow. Of course Eveningstar is acting out. She is being kept farther from you than she has ever been, she has not gotten to fly for some time, and she misses her home. You've been told before that your dragon is complicated, some have even called her spoiled, but you will not tolerate true criticisms of her. "She is under stress and kept in a stable I am not allowed to visit all day and night, of course she's growing restless."
The corner of Aegon's mouth pulls itself upwards. "I know." You blink, unsure where he's going with this. "I also know that she prefers to fly beneath the moon."
You blink. The easy cadence, the grin struggling to not overtake his expression, the way he's watching you. All of it seems to imply something that you've never let yourself hope for. No matter how much favor Aegon has shown you, you've never been offered a chance to see Eveningstar let alone fly her.
"I--I'm not--" The thought of your girl being within reach is almost overwhelmingly wonderful.
You try to focus on the reality of the situation. Technically, you're hostage of war, it'd be impossible to justify letting you near your dragon. It's also late, meaning that being seen alone with Aegon is a danger in its own right. Still, the thought of getting to be with Eveningstar... "Really?"
Aegon gives into his smile, "I'll meet you in an hour."

You tapped gently on Harry’s dressing room door, almost immediately hearing him call for you to enter. As you stepped over the threshold, you watched his eyes peer up from the book he was reading, his pensive expression quickly turned to a smile as he folded over his page, putting the book down on the table behind him.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to bother you.” You apologize as you enter the room.
“Don’t be silly, you’re never a bother.” He outstretched his arms. “Get over here, angel.”
You happily sauntered into his embrace, kissing him softly as he pulled you into his lap. “Hi,” you smile against his lips.
You were so excited when you were hired to play trumpet in Harry’s Love on Tour band. It felt like the ultimate validation after spending so many years as a tormented band geek. You were in your element, playing music with people who loved it just as much as you did. Especially Harry.
You hadn’t expected you’d spend much time with Harry, he was the superstar, you were just in the background. But you quickly realized that was the farthest thing from the truth. The two of you clicked immediately, falling into this comfortable flirty friendship. You two had become inseparable, everyone on the tour knew that if they couldn’t find one of you, your best bet was to look for the other. Even the fans had noticed your back and forth on stage, and you were quickly labeled as Harry’s bestie.
You had been ‘friend-zoned’ so many times in your life that you were used to palling around with the guys you liked. It didn’t stop you from falling for Harry though. You knew he was flirty by nature, so you always tried not to read too far into his actions. He obviously didn’t see you the way you saw him. You’d seen the kinds of girls Harry had been photographed with, you’d heard all the rumors about his lovelife. None of those girls looked anything like you, they were these gorgeous supermodels with tiny waists. You would never be that, so you just settled for being his friend.
But then, there was a shift. Harry’s touches started to linger a little longer, when you would hang out and watch movies, you noticed he started to sit closer and closer. And then, one day everything changed. You had just finished sound check, and Harry asked you to come back to his dressing room with him. And he took that opportunity to confess his feelings for you. You had been together ever since.
“You’ve been busy today, I’ve hardly seen you.” Harry pouted, you giggled before biting his bottom lip gently.
“I know baby, I’m sorry. I promise I’m going to make it up to you.” You wrap your arms around his neck and pull him in for a lingering kiss.
“Mmm, you always do.” He sighs, squeezing your hips gently.
“Oh, I meant to ask you. How’d your date go the other night?” He gives you a confused look. You chuckle as you pull out your phone, tapping a few times before pulling up a deuxmoi post that was submitted of Harry, the caption saying he was out on a date with a mystery blonde.
Harry’s eyes soften, and he lifts his hand to your cheek, stroking it gently. “Angel, you know that’s nothing right? It was a business dinner.
“I know, I’m just joking around.” He smiled widely at your words and pulled you in so that your head was resting against his chest.
Harry liked to keep his private life to himself. He felt that he gave so much to everyone all the time, that he wanted to keep some things just for him. Your relationship was one of those things. You were fine with that, you didn’t need to parade your relationship around to the world to know it was real.
Later that night, you were onstage playing your heart out. You and Harry had been playing off each other all night, like you usually would. He would also shoot an occasional wink, or sly smirk in your direction every now and then.
The crowd had been particularly rowdy all night, but as the opening notes to Watermelon Sugar began, the screaming crescendoed and people began truly losing their minds. Harry and the band had gotten used to things being thrown onstage, you had gotten pretty good at dodging the assorted items. Until you weren’t.
You were so caught up with the energy in the room, watching Harry drink it all in and give it right back to them, that you didn’t see the watch soaring in the air. But you definitely felt it when it hit you in the side of the head, knocking you to the ground.
Harry heard the crowd collectively gasp when you went down. He looked around, his brow furrowed in confusion, looking for the scene that caused such a reaction. He turned behind him and saw you on the ground, wincing in pain and holding your head.
He ran full speed toward you, dropping to his knees in front of you. He tossed his microphone on the riser beside you before collecting you in his arms.
“Y/N, are you alright?” He asked frantically, stroking your hair. He felt you nod against his chest, but it wasn’t good enough. “Talk to me angel, I need you to say it.”
You pulled back, tears streaming down your face, you looked up at Harry with a sniffle. “I… I’m.. it’s okay. You n–need to finish.”
“Oh sweetheart,” he takes your face in his hands, leaning in to kiss your tear stained cheeks before turning you to inspect the spot where you were hit. It was already starting to bruise, and there was some blood dripping down. He looked up at Pauli signaling for him to toss him a towel. He pressed it to your head gently as he tried to calm you down.
“You’re alright baby, I’m right here. I’m so sorry angel, I love you so much.” The words flew from his mouth rapidly, seemingly unaware that his nearby microphone was picking up on all of it.
Once you composed yourself, you reached beside you, grabbing your glasses that had fallen off when you hit the ground, and placing them back on your face. “Sorry Harry, you didn’t have to stop everything for me.”
“Of course I did,” he assured you. “You’re my girl, you come before anything, always.”
A wave of murmurs washed through the crowd at Harry’s words. Tens of thousands of people were all watching with rapt attention as he cared for you so tenderly, and professed his love for you. Their confusion and curiosity quickly turned into a chorus of ‘awwws’ when they watched Harry press his lips against yours.
The sound brought you both back into the moment, suddenly realizing that you were still onstage, and all eyes were on the two of you. Your face turned bright red, you quickly brought your hands up to cover it. Harry chuckled, pulling you close.
“I guess you’re about to get your deuxmoi debut, angel.” He joked.
“And tiktok, and twitter, and everything else.” You chuckle in response.
Harry pulled back so that he could look you in the eyes. “C’mon, let me walk you off and get you comfy, then I’ll come back and finish up here.”
You shake your head quickly. “No, I want to finish the show. I can do it.”
“Are you sure?” He asked, his tone thick with worry.
You nod and stand up, picking up your trumpet to show him you were fine. He shrugged, giving in to you. He knows how stubborn you are, it would be easier just to finish the show. He gets up as well, picking up his microphone with one hand, and taking your hand with the other, leading you to center stage.
“She’s okay!” He announced into the microphone, lifting your arm up in the air.
The crowd erupted, and you curtseyed shyly. You looked over to Harry, who was already looking at you, you could see the adoration in his eyes as he lifted your joined hands to his lips.
“Alright,” Harry returns his attention to the crowd. “Shall we try that one again?” The crowd cheered and Harry let go of your hand. When you turned to return to your spot onstage you jumped suddenly when you felt Harry’s hand playfully tap your backside. You shot him a wink over your shoulder and he smiled in response.
You waved off your fellow band members as they all asked if you were alright, and if you were sure you wanted to do this. You lifted your horn to your mouth, showing everyone that you were fine and ready to move on. The song began, and the rest of the show went off without a hitch, Harry continuing to look back at you, giving you questioning thumbs ups to ensure you were feeling alright, you returned them all with a wink.
You were alright, you were great even. You knew you didn’t need the validation or acknowledgement of his fans for your relationship to work, but it felt really nice to know you had it anyway.

Good Omens final fifteen + Clues
my thoughts under the cut:
I finally finished ep 6 and while picking up the pieces of my broken heart, these are what I think are Clues (Aziraphale's voice):
"give me coffee or give me death" - there's such significance to the way Metatron asked the question, it simply cannot be a throwaway line, especially when he later asks Aziraphale "will you take it?" when handing him the coffee cup. He doesn't say "take it" or simply shoves it at him which would be typical of heaven, but he gives Aziraphale a choice (coffee or death) - in other words, Aziraphale makes the choice but under the threat of death (something Metatron knew he would do, because Nina says "they never choose death" and he says "how predictable" ie. he knew exactly how this would go down)
prior to this Aziraphale has never drunk coffee, only tea and alcohol. He doesn't understand why Crowley would drink coffee when he's already stressed. In other words, the coffee itself is forced on Aziraphale - it seems that he has a choice ("will you take it?") but is it really a choice if his other option is death?
At no point does Aziraphale say "yes" - even when he's walking back to Crowley he says "I don't know what to say" - he's nowhere as excited as he pretends to be the moment he enters the bookshop. In fact, the entire walk over (with the Metatron watching him carefully), he's pensive and deeply troubled, almost like walking to his doom (which clashes with the cheery, almost romantic music that plays here, which adds subtext to the situation, that all is not what it seems to be)
Aziraphale's expression the moment the Metatron brings Crowley up and issues his subtle threat ("irregular"); the way his lips thin and he swallows and he instantly knows what this is all about ("give me coffee OR give me death")
Aziraphale's many many looks out of the window after Crowley has left and his repressed grief and outrage that he quickly masks everytime he looks back at the Metatron. I don't think it's just heartbreak and wanting to go after Crowley - I think something else is going on
tldr: Aziraphale chose the coffee Metatron presented to him because the alternative was death (for him and/or Crowley) and he is furious. Aziraphale's comments on heaven and it being good etc. are not because he's still fixated on that ideology, but it's the only way Aziraphale saw them being safe and together (the other option: death). The tragedy is that Crowley saw Aziraphale making an active choice to take heaven over them being together - but he didn't see why Aziraphale was making that choice (and if it was a choice at all). Earlier, Crowley said "What does your exactly mean? I feel like your exactly and my exactly are different exactlys" - the way they have failed to communicate throughout the millennial (as pointed out by Nina and Maggie) comes to a head here - in this situation with the Metatron watching, Aziraphale can't communicate exactly what's going on, and Crowley doesn't understand what he means because they have not properly communicated before what their "together" means - "run off together" vs "we can be together, angels" are not afterall, different togethers - once again, they're trying to save each other so they can be together, but the methods are different and the perspectives are different (ie. Crowley knows about the book of life threat vs Aziraphale knows about the Metatron "irregular" threat and neither knows what the other fears)

Sex On The Beach
Ken x reader
Summary: Ken's new to a lot of things in the real world. You know, like sex. And cocktails.
Author's notes: This is set at no specific time but Ken has a penis, and I just wanted to give him a little boost. A sexy one.
Warnings/content: nsfw - smut, reader has a vagina, mention of hand jobs, cum play, cream pie, praise, first time, glittery Ken cum! ✨
Tumblr media
'How does it feel, baby?'
Ken is brought back to you at the sound of your voice, his lungs abruptly filling with breath and his eyes rolling back into place.
'Warm... r-really warm and s-soft... ohhh-'
'Yeah? You like it?' you smile down at him.
He nods eagerly, biting his lip and whining because he can’t think clearly enough to speak anymore.
You roll your hips slowly, keeping a careful and steady pace. He’s so deliciously responsive and so blissed out already that you’re afraid to go too fast and overwhelm him; as amazing as he feels, stretching and filling you with his perfect, pretty, plastic cock, you're able to keep your composure for now where he lost his the moment you sank down onto him.
'Good boy, Ken... you're doing so good for me,' you praise him.
He whimpers and bites his lip, and your heart skips a beat. It's almost endearing, the way he responds to your words.
You caress his cheek with your palm, needing to feel closer, to show him the affection he’s so desperate for, and he presses his face into the warmth of your touch.
Needy little thing aren't you? you think, watching him writhe and blush prettily beneath you. Gorgeous.
You finally begin to speed up, chasing your own pleasure and equally wanting to test the water, see how he reacts.
And boy do you get a reaction.
Loud moans and gasps punctuate each breath he takes while his fingertips grip desperately at the sheets, almost pulling them clean off the bed beneath him.
His jaw drops, his eyes screw shut, and fuck, he looks as though he's cumming already.
'You can touch me,' you pant, caressing his cheek. 'You can ask for what you want-'
'P-please- feels so good- d-don't stop!' he cries, finally grabbing your hips instead of the sheets, sighing shakily as he kneads your flesh.
You hope he’ll leave bruises, but you don't tell him that for now. He might not understand yet, and you don't want him to worry about it.
'Don't worry, baby, I won't stop. You're safe with me, just focus on how it feels...'
He looks so fucking irresistible, perfect hair now mussed and cheeks flushed pink.
You lean forward to swallow him into a deep kiss, and the new angle, with the way he’s bucking his hips up into you, sends a jolt of pleasure sparking through every nerve in your body.
You moan his name then, and to him it sounds like he's the only thing you'll ever need.
It ends him.
His back arches off the bed and he practically screams out, strangled and excited and overwhelmed - and comically high pitched as he pants and whines down from his high, trembling beneath you.
His fingertips drive so hard into your hips that you groan at the sweet pleasure-pain, your walls contracting around him to squeezing out every last drop of that glittery, pink cum you love so much. You must have given him at least ten handjobs this past week alone just to witness the beauty of it spilling in shimmering, ample amounts from his slit again and again.
As your climaxes subside and you're left face to face, breath hot on each other's faces, Ken gazes up at you as though you're the most important thing in the world to him.
'WOW,' he bursts, breathless and wide-eyed, 'that felt... different.' He turns pensive, brows knitting.
'Good different?'
'Really good different,' he beams.
Carefully, you shift to lay beside him, easing off his cock slowly. Even with your consideration, he feels cold and somehow empty now that he's no longer inside you.
He immediately rolls onto his side to gaze at you. With anyone else this would be uncomfortably intense, but with Ken it feels right somehow.
'Was I... did I...' he hesitates, unsure. 'Did I make you feel good too?'
'Yes, Ken. You made me cum so hard,' you smile, turning to face him properly, pecking his lips.
He lets out a little giggle. 'And my glitter... my cum... it's inside you now?'
You laugh softly. 'Yes, inside me. Just how I wanted it to be.'
He nods, understanding yet slightly bemused, a smug expression crossing his handsome face.
'Ken... do you want to do it again?' you offer, dragging a finger teasingly down his side.
His eyes light up. 'Really?'
'Yes, really. I seriously need another dose of your Kenergy.'
He closes his eyes to calm himself, bringing a fist up to his lips and uttering a quiet but excited, 'Sublime!' under his breath. He flips over onto his back to assume your previous arrangement, but you pull him back to you, slipping your hands up into his soft hair, burying your face in the crook of his neck, making him mewl.
'There are different positions we could try...' you whisper, guiding him on top of you and wrapping your legs around his waist.
He lets out a delighted little, 'Ooh!' at how closely you're entangled, revelling in your embrace.
'You were so good and...I trust you, Ken. I need you.'
Ken's lip quivers as he holds back a sob. He was already hard again, eager as ever, but now you've told him he did a good job at making you feel good? That you need more of what he can do?
A bead of glittery slick drips, glinting, from his cock and he groans at the sensation of fleeting relief before forcing himself back to the present with you, hungry for your attention.
'M-maybe I should change my job,' he mumbles, clearly proud of whatever he's thought up.
'Yeah, what too, Ken?' you smile up at him.
'Sex and Beach,' he drawls, a mildly cocky glint in his eye. 'Y'know, instead of just Beach.'
'How about sex on the beach?' you joke, but he doesn't quite get it.
'Y-you can do that? Oh-'
Another thick pearl of sparkling pre-cum leaks down his throbbing shaft at the thought and his head drops as he tries hard to compose himself long enough to last for you.
'I'll take you for one. Sex first though. Then sex on the beach.'
He nods, serious and dutiful as he slowly slides back inside you, trying not to think too hard about why you referred to having sex in his favourite place as 'taking him for one.'
It doesn't matter anyway. Sex and Beach with you. That's all that matters right now.

pick a pile: "Loving words from your person"
take a breath and choose the photo or number that calls you the most to find a message meant to reach you at this time. The message may come from your future spouse/destined person/long time partner or even closest friend for some of you (you may still have to meet them).
don’t take the reading too seriously. only take what resonates with you and leave the rest. if you're not called by any pile, let this reading slid as it may not hold messages for you. if you're called by more than one pile, there may be messages in each of those piles. remember that is a general reading and some things may not resonate with you. energies can change and readings are based on present ones (as you read); you're always in charge of your life.

Things are getting rocky at the moment, right? Yeah I know it. Try to not let this excessive amount of emotions sweep you away. Try to ground, try to stay present and in you. It's hard work indeed, ofc, I'm not saying it's easy but... please, even if it feels so difficult ans scary, do not give up. Do not let all this take the best of you. Stay in touch, stay in control... touch the ground and the grass, stay present, keep yourself rooted physically. A good news is coming in soon, maybe a new endeavour you know, just do not let this stress you even more than you are. Right now you need to find your inner focus, your center, and to meditate. Until we meet, until I will be able to help you, take good care of you. Or let someone else help you.
[romantic partner for many of you but not everyone; very big on physical affection/hugs in particular -gives very good safe hugs-; good big heart; you may be feeling lonely/feeling down/needing a bit more of love or affection these days or you will need: they'll offer you loads of that with a bright smile; sweet young kinda feminine/nurturing energy; the "excessive amount of emotion" mentioned in the reading may relate to something you're healing atm: I just heard "keep healing patiently"]

HEllo hello my sweetheart! Things are changing as times and leaves, and so your emotions need to adapt to all this. We totally need to stop letting them block us and be more real, shouldn't we? It is indeed time to make a new start, to level up. So take it slow but leave this pain behind. Okay, okay, the choice is yours but you know... it's better to make mistakes and really live even for just one day than to just hide behind a wall and observe others having the time of their life and then feeling so unworthy of everything, right? Go out of the shell and try to feel as worthy as them. Try to be your real self (I know who you are inside, don't play with me, you cannot hide :)). Go slowly, go at your pace, but try. Little by little. One "hello" at time. I am waiting for you to try and say hi first. I am here waiting just for you, not going anywhere.
[romantic partner or friend, or both; funny positive accepting wise person: "it's okay to make mistakes, they're cute" when I wrote the first hello with the E and didn't want me to correct it "it's so me"; prolly clumsy but in a cute way; very pensive/thoughtful; may know many words/has a way with words or is a book lover/nerd; may wear glasses and touch them often; may sit weird; loves to write/journaling; thinks before speaking but writes on a whim and makes typos maybe also in messages to you -some are fun; you may laugh a lot together-; only for some: they may already "be in your life" as you may "see" them around often -eg. school, jobplace, subway, fav pub/place, park...- or they may be your crush/someone you find interesting, as in the song's mv]

It's time to take a pause and wait. Things not always go as we plan them or as we'd like them to, but it's not always that bad. It's often a matter of realigning, of realizing that maybe something wasn't supposed for us, and it's better this way. It's maybe a matter of taking a break, grieving our desire in the way we planned it to be, and then go back on track and working for a new different way to get it. It's often a matter of having to wait a little longer, of having to be a little more experienced and prepared. Maybe it's the same for us, don't you think? Maybe we thought we had met but it wasn't us. Maybe we're just meant to work on ourself first a little more, on our feelings and how we see them and perceive them, on our strenghts and self confidence, before we can really shine and meet. Before we can really be able to be seen by the right people: me by you and you by me. And trust me, it's gonna happen. We'll make it happen.
[older or wiser romantic partner or friend; feels like has had many life's experiences; very grounded; masculine energy for the most; very concrete and has an intriguing mind; may have lot of air in their chart or be Mercury dominant, still has a lot of control on their thoughts and is very determined; may inspire you and guide you through a lot and help you grow or heal; will probably need you to help them let go a bit of control cause maybe sometimes -at least for some- they may tend to be a bit more serious and go deep within and get lost in their mind; may show a bright smile on the outside but may feel hurt inside, give them time or talk with them, help them feel safe in communicating their real thoughts if you can: they just don't want to cause pain to others but forget that generally people feels good when being of help to a lover/friend and not burdened; you may share some traits or have mirror energy]

Wishing Wells & a Hunter’s Box
or, Encounters of a Disney-Aware Prefect, ft. Rook Hunt
Part 1, Part 2 (here), Part 3, Part 4
Tumblr media
GN reader, uses they/them pronouns!
Warnings: None
Please enjoy~
—————
Damn, Crewel’s class is gonna end me.
You were slouched against the well in the courtyard. Despite the blue birds and doves singing sweetly from the apple trees and squirrels scurrying from branch to branch, you were in a foul mood. You stared at the papers in your hand, waiting for Rook to come help you after Crewel set up a tutoring session for you (against your will-)
Your latest lab report from Alchemy was pockmarked with red marks, all made by none other than Divus Crewel. As if that wasn’t grim enough, he’d even pulled you aside after class a few days ago.
“Prefect, I understand that since you hail from another world, you may find it more… difficult to understand these concepts,” you’d grimaced and tried to hold his gaze. His eyes were steely, but he didn’t seem disappointed per se. Concerned? “You’ve done well enough thus far, but I’d like for you to have some extra help. To… level the playing field, as Vargas would say.”
Crewel was taking pity on you? The Crewel, who assigned Epel a basically impossible task to grow some magical plant? The same Crewel who would’ve skinned Ace alive over spilling a single drop of ingredient? The Crewel who ran Science Club with an iron fist? That Crewel???
“Teacher’s pet,” Ace quipped as he stuffed food in his mouth when you told everyone during lunch. “Literally. He’s nicer to you, anyway. And he calls you his lil’ pup,” he grinned, snarky.
“Yeah, I’d rather not be babied by Crewel,” you retorted. Jack and Deuce seemed pensive about it. “If Crewel’s giving you pointers, maybe that’s a good thing,” Jack pointed out. “You’re not on his bad side at least.” Deuce nodded, trying to cheer you up. “He knows you’re at least trying.”
Grim swiped at your plate, then asked with his mouth full, “So what’d he want anyway? Y’gotta do retaliation too? Ya won’t stay my henchman if y’can’t pass alchemy!”
“Grim, you have to do remediation, and no I don’t. He actually asked the Science Club if anyone would be interested, and he said Rook would help.”
“Seriously? That guy?” Ace spluttered. Deuce looked concerned, “you sure you’ll be safe with him? I mean, if you help, we could ask Housewarden Rosehearts or Trey for help.” “Or Leona,” Jack chimed in.
You were touched by your friends concern. “I’ll be fine guys, Rook may be a little… odd, but he hasn’t been that bad. It’ll be fine.”
So now, it was late afternoon. You’d been waiting forever for the blond to finish in Science Club, you were lowkey hungry and highkey stressed, and you would really like a nap. It seemed fine then, but now you were getting impatient and your paper seemed to be taunting you. Frustrated, you sprang up and turned to the well.
“Aaaaaaauuhgghh!” You screamed into it, then immediately winced when it echoed back AAAAAAAUUUUUUGGGGHHHHH at you. Wells didn’t like being yelled at.
You huffed, and your thoughts wandered back to your weekend trip with Vil.
He’d taken you out to ‘teach you about film-making’, and while it was nice, it was a little daunting to see not only him, but his father, in their natural element. Not to mention, afterwards he’d taken you shopping in places where the price tags had too many zeroes to comprehend.
But before that, you somehow made the Dark Mirror speak to you, all from a little line from a dream. A movie?
Maybe it was more than a dream. Maybe it was a hazy memory from your life before Night Raven College, and even though you arrived only a few months ago, why was it so hard to remember? Either way, you remembered the Fairest Queen speaking to the Mirror, and…
A girl singing to the well?
You kicked yourself up, abandoning your lab report on the grass. You leaned over the well, seeing your wiggling reflection in the water. Above your head, a little bluebird and dove swooped and perched at the bar with the water pail, chirping sweetly. Your mind flashed to your dream, where the girl in a ragged dress sang sweetly into the well.
‘I’m wishing!’ I’m wishing!, came the echo.
‘For the one I love!’
‘To find me!’ To find me!
‘Today!’ Today!
You hummed it to yourself, glancing around warily for anyone who was passing by. There wouldn’t be anyone nearby anytime soon, since club time didn’t end for a small while.
Still, you felt a little silly for wanting to sing into a goddamn well. But when you thought about flopping back on the ground, your mind went back to the Dark Mirror responding to your mindless question.
If the Dark Mirror, which supposedly only obeyed the Headmaster of NRC, responded to you, surely something could happen at this well, right? After all, both had been here since the school’s founding.
“I-“ you coughed as your voice cracked, and cleared your throat self-consciously. You tried again,
“I’m wishing,” the echo came back, I’m wishing.
“…for the… one I love.” One I love.
“To… find me,” To find me.
You felt more comfortable now, “Today!”
“TODAY!”
You shrieked and fell on the grass as none other than Rook fucking Hunt bounded up to you with a grin, ignoring your utter embarrassment as he loomed over like a hunter crowding his prey, blocking out the sun ominously. You scrambled back a bit and got to your feet.
“Rook,” you seethed, still embarrassed. “Why?”
“Ah, mon cher tricksteur!” He sighed happily, the feather in his hat fluttering. “I hadn’t known you were a secret romantic! Singing to a well, quelle suprise! La romance, la mystique, la beauté-“
“Alright Rook, that’s enough-“ you tried, but he just carried on. “Why, it makes me want to sing with you!”
Rook promptly burst into song, one hand on his chest and the other flailing around as he spun. He’d at least changed into his regular school uniform, otherwise strange liquids from his club outfit would’ve been flying everywhere, and then you’d have another issue on your hands.
“ROOK!” You screamed exasperated. He stopped and grinned mischievously. “Je suis desolé, I seem to have gotten carried away. Ah, but look at the time! We must prepare you, or Professor Crewel will have both of our hides!”
He spun on his heel, an easy smile on his face, and offered his arm to you. “Shall we, mon cher (y/n)?” His sharp green eyes seemed to soften ever so slightly at you. You nodded slowly and took his arm, and allowed him to steer you away to wherever he was going.
Even though nothing happened (except Rook nearly giving you a heart attack), your mind wandered to the girl in your memory-dream. After she sang that part, she wasn’t alone. She’d sung a duet with… a man?
You glanced at Rook, regarding the feather in his hat bob up and down cheerfully. You smiled despite yourself. A man with a feathered hat.
~
Rook had taken you to the Pomefiore common room and, despite your friends’ fears, was quite helpful and very meticulous. The hours passed, and when you both were finished going over every procedure, ingredient, applicable magic law, and anything else that Crewel could throw at you, the room became flooded with a soft haze from the setting sun.
You leaned back on the lavish purple couch as Rook perused his own notes. You quietly looked around the common room.
It was much different than Ramshackle’s dusty living room. The room just oozed with luxury and royalty. Truly fit for the Fairest Queen indeed.
Your gaze shifted to a large display case. Sometime ago, when Vil was in his tyrant rampage during VDC, he’d dragged you through Pomefiore and given you a grand tour (against your will, which happened alarmingly often) of the dorm, including the precious objects within said case. You stood and walked to it, leaving Rook to his own work.
The display case held a few objects. The crown Vil wore with his dorm uniform (only taken out when he needed it, apparently passed down to all dorm leaders of Pomefiore). A beautiful dagger with a heart (owned by the Queen’s most trusted huntsman), and-
You frowned, mind becoming fuzzy. An ornate box with a knife through the heart, beautiful and golden-
‘The blundering fool!’
You shook your head and blinked a few times. You stared at the box, brow furrowed.
A dark-haired man with a feather in his cap accepted the box with shaking hands. You couldn’t hear what the regal woman in black said to him, but he didn’t seem to like it. Then suddenly, he was in the forest with the girl in the yellow and blue dress, and raising his dagger to her turned back and-
“I see you’ve found the dorm treasures!”
You jumped, spinning around to Rook smiling innocently down at you, knowing exactly what he did. He’d snuck up so quietly to you, or you were so deep in thought, that you didn’t even hear him. You clutched your chest, breathing quickly.
Forget a defibrillator, Rook could easily restart your heart with his constant jumpscares.
“These two are relics of the Fairest Queen, many years ago,” he began, speaking softer when he saw how startled you were, eyes regarding yours gently. “They are treasures that are a testament to her tenacity and perseverance.”
You were calmer now, and you glanced back at the cabinet. “The dagger…” you turned to him, “Did the hunter use it?” You asked naively, swallowing thickly at what you hoped didn’t happen.
Rook chuckled, but noted how you seemed shaken by your question. He said gently, “Of course mon cher, he was a hunter like moi. He used his dagger as needed.” He gestured to the ornate box, “legend has it that he even brought the heart of a deer to the Fairest Queen upon request.”
A deer. You sighed in relief. Of course he wouldn’t kill the girl. Of course. Who’d want to hurt her?
As you and Rook ruminated by the relics, the sun sank and students entered the dorm, chattering amongst themselves. Vil walked in, and noticed you two.
“Hello Rook, prefect. I trust you two were able to go over the alchemy topics? Crewel said you needed some help,” Vil looked at you, expression unreadable. “He asked me if I could help, but I’d already scheduled a photoshoot beforehand. I do wish I could’ve been there, though.”
“Quelle sympathie mon roi!” Rook started, hand on his chest. “Such benevolence and dutifulness truly befits that of the Queen herself! With your skill in potions and poisons alike, the prefect would pass Crewel’s class with flying colors under your tutelage!”
You laughed to yourself as Vil smiled, shaking his head at Rook’s antics. “I’ll head back to Ramshackle then, thanks for everything Rook,” you smiled at the hunter. You turned to collect your things from the table, and after bidding the pair goodbye and goodnight, you trekked back to Ramshackle with Rook who insisted on walking you back.
As you walked, Rook regaled you with tales of the Queen and her Huntsman, and at some point began reciting poetry after becoming so impassioned. You waited patiently, and as you neared the dorm he sighed. “One day, I wish to become as great a huntsman as he!” Rook closed his eyes, taking off his hat and clutching it to his chest.
You gave a small laugh, but your thoughts turned to your dream from earlier. “Something tells me you’re practically him already.”
———
Ok so ik that the wishing part should technically be Neige’s/Prince Florian’s part
but then I remembered that Florian had a hat with a feather in it and so does rook
And then I connected the dots and made this.
Also theater kid rook needs some time to shine too tbh and he canonically bursts into song according to Trey! What a guy lmao
Anyway thanks for reading this far, Epel’s part isn’t too far away! <3 thank you all for the support!!

teenage! brother’s best friend! johnny and simon ⁉️
you aren’t fond of secondary school for the most part. it wouldn’t be half as bad if you could hang out with si and johnny, but they’re two years above you. year nine is the worst year for you so far, and year eleven seems rocky for both johnny and simon. its safe to say that tensions are a little high.
you take a seat outside during lunch, nestled up in the crook of the playground that faces the muga— it lets you pry into what the boys get up to when you’re not around.
it’s weird watching simon’s social life, when he’s not having to hide you under his wing like the protective big brother he is. he’s still stoney faced but… he seems a lot more boisterous and talkative, that’s for sure. he seems to take football with the lads pretty seriously, talking strats with his team before the next kickoff. a couple of them shoot glances at each other behind his back, finding humour in how into the game he is.
and then there’s johnny, talking absolute shite on the pitch, unable to stop waffling between his powerful lunges towards the pitch. he’s halfway through a rant about his recent grade in religious studies when he completely misses the goal. the majority of his team are groaning, meanwhile he’s still pensive and wound up about his grades. how has he managed to get a D in religious studies, he’s a catholic for fucks sake!
besides, you know that football isn’t really johnny’s thing. he’s more of a rugby lad, which simon likes to tease him about.
“oh yeah? i think you’re just lookin’ for an excuse to be surrounded by big sweaty men, ‘ent you, johnny boy?”
“shite off, monsi. yer just jealous ye don’t get tae see me all sexy like on the pitch, aye?”
(admittedly, you do have to give credit to johnny where it was due, he did look sexy when playing rugby. you and simon once went to one of his practice matches and simon was baffled when he turned to face you and you were all red faced.)
you eat your sandwich while continuing to observe the boys, feeling a pang of gratitude for having them in your life. they were good lads, especially simon. and when your small group of friends finally escaped their detention and made their way to your little alcove in the playground, your appreciation for the boys was greatly enhanced when they all started to fuss over them. well, kind of. any gross lovey dovey shit over simon was unappreciated.
“guys, gross. that’s my brother you’re talking about!”

Hi! If you're still taking request, cullen x inquisitor with "in a safe place"? Maybe something about after she escapes haven? Or whatever comes to mind!! 💌
nature's altar cullen rutherford x inquisitor/herald of andraste author's note : they will forever be my safe place as well tbh <3 prompt : in tuto esse: in a safe place word count : 1143
The first time you found him alone, he was swallowed up by a darkness wrapped in the hush of a freshly fallen blanket of snow.
He was not meant to be on watch, yet what good was sleep when your dreams were haunting, twisted, demonic things? This secret was a thread shared: one that connected both of you, together, in this blooming ritual of early morning solitude. Of solace. Of peace.
No mantles, or titles, or weighty words were welcome. Not until the rest of camp rose with the sun, and you were reminded that you did not belong to yourselves anymore, not entirely.
The untouched sheet of white crunches underfoot, a glittering gossamer layer under a sky shaking itself awake, trading midnight caresses for the sleepy gray of a new, rising dawn. That hushed silence broke at your sound, impossibly loud in the anonymity of blue hour slowly waking further into warm, bright, golden rays clawing their way from the dregs of a deep, dark slumber. The kind that each of you craved, these darling souls escaping the ruin and wreckage of what was once Haven.
What was once a haven. What was once home.
He turns around then, bristling in furs shining in the soft rays of your stolen moments. He knows better than to stand at your approach these days, yet he has settled into the habit of watching your arrival nonetheless. Every time is different, because every night is different, and each day you imagine that both of you are a little different too, in all the ways that may never matter. And yet -
Well. The warmth in the eyes of Commander Cullen Rutherford has returned upon noticing your company, once more gracing his own. It doesn't just appear while you watch the sun rise in silence or through broken conversation, but you've noticed it, throughout the long days and even longer nights when you catch his amber eyes drifting over to you.
He lingers, now, but you've found that you do, too.
"Herald," he says, his greeting soft as the ascending sun. Quiet, like the snowfall in the night.
You settle in next him, standing close enough for furs to kiss furs. Close enough to brush upon walls painstakingly fashioned – brick by agonizing brick - to keep from drifting just a little too close to each other in the cold, or in the chaos. There are other things that demand your attention now. More important ones, too, you imagine.
The snort catching in your throat is carried off on the brisk mountain breeze.
"Haven't we agreed to play pretend before duty calls?" it's difficult, not to smile. Even more so when the man next to you shifts, his warmth soaking through his cloak and into yours. Harder yet, to stifle the gentle laughter while he stumbles through covering his tracks.
"Call it habit," he chooses to settle on. "When you spend most of your life in the Templar Order, titles become the safest thing to say."
"So it seems." the volume of your voices no longer sounded so harsh, here in the arms of eos, but rather a pleasant thing instead. Familiarity fell snug around your weary bones, warming you from the inside out with a feeling resembling something like comfort. Or, more accurately, what passed for it since the whole of your world was ripped, violently, in two.
Before and after.
It's an afterthought, floating dreamy and pensive through a mind still unsteady with sleep – yet you say it anyway, if only to indulge this illusion of normalcy. "It's always so beautiful, hiding away from the world, isn't it? The moments we claim for ourselves every morning."
Movement catches your eye, but you do not turn to meet it. Instead, you watch the Commander – simply Cullen, here - as he shifts to face you. The weight against your arm grows, extra heat siphoning into your skin along with it. The space around your chest blooms with a swell of warmth of its own, though you tell yourself it's only respite from the breeze.
Nothing more.
"Yes," he all but breathes, tone sinking deep below the depths of normal speech. His timbre, chosen with care – it's one that conjures such a softness, such a kindness. One you have not yet had the privilege to hear from him before this very moment. "It truly is."
He continues to watch you, even as your own gaze pulls away from tender rays of dawn painting golden lattice patterns through hearty evergreens and spindly arms of elm. It was truly a magnificent sight, watching the sun rise to set the sky above in flames of burnt oranges and vibrant vermilion. The higher it rose, the more it bled it's brilliant palette into the snow below until, finally, the entirety of your little meeting place was aglow with the colors of the world above.
Even still, he does not look away when you meet his eyes, tired and bracing on nothing but the hope you'd keep coming back and coming back – if only to nurture this feeling of safety growing slow and steady and strong between you.
The Commander and the Herald of Andraste.
(A force of nature surely to be reckoned with, should the Maker choose to be kind.)
It was impossible, not to let a small smile tilt your lips as you lean just a little into the man next to you, leaning back in equal measure.
It was impossible, for Cullen not to match the tenderness of your smile, because he was nothing if not weak in resolve when you were alone.
It was impossible, to hope for a miracle that meant you could watch the sun rise in it's gilded golden completion, with no one to miss you when you were gone.
And yet, you hope anyway. Cullen does too, as his hand brushes against yours once, twice, thrice, before you, yourself cave and ghost your gloved fingers through his.
Maybe today, you think, eyes turning back to the world waking up, up, up. But, of course, voices begin to carry through frost bitten trees, the smell of breakfast imprinted on the breeze not far behind. Your eyes flutter closed, soaking up the last rays of quiet, the last moments of you.
A squeeze of your hand burnt down the feelings simmering in your heart before they take shape and take a name. A voice, low in your ear fills you once more, with that special kind of warmth that doesn't flourish from proximity.
"Together," he says, his own tension wrapping itself tight around his spine. It loops through ribs and draws a sigh from his lips.
"Yes," you unravel, almost, at the thought. "Together."
Brick by agonizing brick, that wall keeping you apart comes crashing down with every sunrise.

@eywaite After our little chat about Tsu'tey, I just had to change my plans 🤭
Words: 3439
Dividers by @cafekitsune
Tumblr media
Despite being mated to Tsu’tey, I am still human and need to make visits to Hell’s Gate. Also, being mated to Tsu’tey meant that there was no way in hell that he’d let me go there alone. I pray to Eywa that this goes well because Tsu’tey and human-sized spaces don’t mix well… but that could just be the excuse that he gives me. Tsu’tey always looks a little too pleased when he breaks something.
“Promise me you'll watch your tail,” I look up at him, my eyes wide and pleading.
I could see him visibly soften under my gaze, better than the harsh glare he was giving the outside gate.
“I promise I will watch my tail,” He repeated dutifully.
“And that you’ll do your best not to break anything?” I pressed further.
I could see him hesitate, knowing that I’d trapped him, as he hates lying to me, “I promise I will do my best not to break anything,” He responded dejectedly.
I smile at him as I open my arms; Tsu’tey leans down so I can grab his face, kissing him sweetly.
“Thank you, baby,” I kiss him once more before parting.
With his spirits lifted, as much as they can be going onto Hell’s Gate, I lock our fingers together, pulling him into the airlock vents. As we enter, Tsu’tey grabs a ventilator for him to use here. The whole point of this visit is for me to get an updated injection. Monthly injections allow us to neutralize the poison in Pandora’s air, letting us breathe without the worry of masks. It is unsafe for younger kids to have, so we keep oxygen-safe places, letting the kids run without fear, like little Spider.
“(Y/N)! Tsu’tey!” I heard Spider’s little voice yell.
I turn and see that little five-year-old boy running at me as fast as his little legs can take him. Blond curls bounced as he ran, his face lit up as he saw his two favorite people.
“Spider!” I shouted, kneeling down and opening my arms.
Spider hit my chest, and his little arms wrapped tightly around my neck. Thankfully, Tsu’tey was behind me, so instead of hitting the floor, I simply leaned against his legs. I wrapped my arms as tightly as I dared around his little body, softly shaking him side to side, making him erupt in giggles.
“What are you doing here?” Spider asks me, his brown eyes curious.
I sit him on my lap, my arms still holding him, “I came to get my shot,” I explained honestly.
Spider scrunched his nose, remembering the last injections that he had to get, “Those are stinky,” he concluded.
I chuckle at his bluntness, “You’re right. They are stinky, but we need them to get strong,” I replied as I smoothed over his hair.
“But you’re an adult; why do you need one?” He asked, furrowing his brow.
“Well, there are some shots you have to get even when you’re an adult; the one that I’m getting lets me breathe outside without a mask on,” I did my best to explain.
Spider looked pensive in my lap, thinking for a moment, “(Y/N), if you didn’t get the shot, would you stay with me?” His large doe eyes stare into my soul.
I could feel Tsu’tey stiffen behind me before he sat down behind me and wrapped his arms around both of us.
“Ma’Prrnen, listen to me well,” Tsu’tey started, as his hand met mine, playing with Spider’s hair, “We have both been working very hard lately; do you know why?”
Spider shook his head, not understanding why Tsu’tey was asking such a question.
“Because right now, we are building a special place. The special place is in our kelku; you remember what that is, right?” He further questioned.
“Home! Kulku is a home!” Spider answered excitedly, happy to know the answer.
“That’s right! Good job, prrnen,” Tsy’tey’s face was proud, “The special place is almost finished, and when it is, then human air will be inside our kelku.” Tsu’tey paused, letting Spider absorb all the information, and not because he was choking up.
“So, I can breathe there?” Spider asked uncertainly.
I took over from here, “Yes, Spider, and as soon as it’s finished and you can breathe, you’re going to come with us. You’ll live with Tsu’tey and I,” I explained, tears in my eyes.
Spider’s face was pensive before he quietly asked me, “I go with you? I get to have a home? You’re gonna take me home? Like you’re my mommy and daddy?” With each word, my heart broke for him.
“Yes, prrnen, you’ll be our son, our ‘Itan. She’ll be your Mommy, and I’ll be your Sempu,” Tsu’tey whispers, shifting Spider so he was against his own chest.
Spider sat there shocked, as he was struggling to understand. Soon, tears started to fall as his body shook.
“Oh baby,” I coo, holding him close so he was protected on either side.
“Please! I Wanna go home! I wanna go home now! Please!” His sobs broke my heart.
“Soon, baby, just three more days. And you’re going to be so busy you won’t even notice it,” I put my head on top of Spider’s, kissing his curls, “Because you have to pack all your stuff, all toys, and blankies, then you’ll be right back with us.”
“Go home,” He cried.
“Yes, ‘Itan, we’ll go home,” Tsu’tey whispered.
The three of us sit there on the cold metal floor, holding each other, tears falling. Slowly, Spider’s sobs turned to hiccups, which turned to sniffles, and soon, he was sleeping in our arms.
I pat his hair as he sleeps, not wanting to move from our little pile.
“I will take him to his room and get him comfortable while you go to the med bay; I’ll meet you there,” Tsy’tey whispers into my hair.
I groan at the idea, refusing to move from my spot, instead curling in closer.
I could feel his laughter underneath me, “Go now, Yawne. The sooner we’re done here, the sooner we can finish the airlock for Spider,” He successfully bribed.
I pull away with a groan, standing up and popping my back after sitting on the floor for so long, “Fine, but only for Spider,” I leaned down and kissed Tsu’tey soundly and then Spider softly, not wanting to wake him.
“I will see you soon, Yawne,” Tsu’tey whispered, standing to his feet. Spider cradled close to his chest, and his tail warped around him, too.
“See you soon, love,” and with that, we went our perspective ways.
The med bay was plain and boring, as usual. The injection went without problems, the familiar pinch and burn, in and out in less than 3 minutes. Well, it would have been if I hadn’t gotten talking. I hadn’t seen my friends in a good while, so we all wanted to catch up. We talked about kids, boyfriends, husbands, new projects, and anything we haven’t discussed in the past month. It’s always a good time, with lots of laughs and giggles going around. Until the telltale crash, with the unmistakable sound of glass shattering, hit our ears. We all looked over, and lo and behold, Tsu’tey was there, shattered glass by his feet and a cloud of golden dust surrounding his form.
“Are you okay?” I asked, panicked, worried he may have cut himself.
“I-“ achoo “am-“ achoo “fine-“ achoo achoo “Yawne” achoo
I shook my head at his attempts to reassure me, turning to those behind me, “Does anyone know what was in those vials?” I ask them wearily.
The lot of them shook their heads with mutters of negatives. Sighing, I grabbed a nearby broom and started sweeping the shards around Tsu’tey’s bare feet.
“I promise you this time was actually an accident; I’m sorry, Yawne,” His ears pinned back from shame.
Looking at the tray they were on before, I believe him it was low, even for a human, below his knees.
“It’s alright, love, we just need to figure out what it was,” I eyed the golden powder covering his skin wearily.
Tsu’tey rubbed at the powder on his skin, the golden substance moving and rubbing into his skin, “It’s very soft,” his voice was curious but not malicious.
“Please try and not touch,” I whined, concerned that the dust was absorbing into his skin.
Tsu’tey shot me a look for my stupid comment, gesturing to it covering his entirety. I roll my eyes at him while checking for any lingering shards.
“Alright, the glass is gone; go wash in the bio showers,” I told him, pointing at the shower rooms, which he’s used multiple times for breaking things before.
I could see the grimace as he obeyed and walked to the containment showers. I sighed again, wondering what the side effects would be this time. Nothing lethal is stored in the med bay, but minor or inconvenient side effects are guaranteed. A couple too many people were using the med bay for ‘coupling,’ so Max started placing extra things in the med bay, but he didn’t catch any humans, just an annoyed Tsu’tey. I dumped the shards of glass into the trash, then returned to the scene of the crime, looking for anything that would tell me what the hell this stuff was. Thankfully, a clipboard was on the tray, mostly uncontaminated from the substances.
I read the paper intently, ensuring I didn’t miss a thing. My eyebrows rose as I continued to read, not expecting what I was reading. It seems that some avatars are having a difficult time managing their heat and ruts, and while working on birth control, they instead made an aphrodisiac that triggers a heat or rut. I tucked the clipboard under my arm and ran towards the showers, where Tsu’tey was glaring at the human-sized showers.
“Honey, let’s skip the shower and get home. Now,” I demand hurriedly.
Tsu’tey looked at me strangely, “Did you not just tell me to shower now? What’s with the change of heart?” He narrowed his eyes at me.
“I’ll explain on the way, but you are 100% fine, and we need to get you home now,” I pressed, grabbing his arm, the silky powder smooth under my fingertips.
Tsu’tey reluctantly allowed me to pull him along; I passed my friends, barely even waving behind me. We travel the corridors and swiftly leave Hell’s Gate while I’m still pulling Tsu’tey along. I look back at him, and his eyes are dilated, and his breathing is starting to become heavy. I urged Teu’tey along, trying to get him to pay attention to his surroundings, but it seemed he could only pay attention to me. Arriving at our kelku was a massive relief, but my work wasn’t over yet. I sat Tsu’tey on the ground, his chest heaving as he continued to take deep breaths, and his tail twitched irritably. Noticing that I didn’t have much time left, I turned to go and clean some of the kelku, ensuring nothing dangerous was on the floor. Instead, I was met by two strong arms wrapping around my waist.
“Where are you going, Yawne? You can’t leave now,” Tsu’tey’s nose buried itself in my hair, breathing me in deep.
“It’s alright, love. I’m just going to clean up a bit; I won't go far,” I tried to convince myself.
But his arms were like vises as he continued to take in my scent.
“So sweet, like paskalin,” He concludes, moving down so his nose was at my neck, “You’re my paskalin,” His voice was rumbly from purring.
I smile softly at my high mate, “Yes, love, I’m your paskalin; now I need to clean up our kelku, okay?” I soothe, trying to escape his arms, to no avail.
I gasped as Tsu’tey’s long, warm tongue tailed over the side of my neck, the wet trail cooling in the air.
“Kalin, paskalin,” He muttered, licking me again, sucking my skin into his mouth.
I bit back the moan that tried to escape as I wrenched myself out of Tsu’tey’s grasp.
“Baby, you gotta give me two seconds-” I tried to explain, only for Tsu’tey to lunge at me.
He’s now on his knees, his arms again wrapped around my waist, his head leaning on my stomach, eye darkened and begging, “‘Ì’awn, rutxe,” he licked at my stomach, working up towards my tits.
“Tsu’tey, I just- oh shit,” I once again attempted to persuade him to let me go, only for Tsu’tey to mouth at my tit, nipping on the side, then sucking my nipple into my mouth.
Using one of his hands, he trailed it over to my neglected tit, rolling my nipple, picking, and pulling at it, making me weak in the knees, but Tsu’tey held me in place, refusing to let up on his work on my tits.
Tsu’tey pulled away, looking at me beggingly, “Sìltsan?” He asks me.
I shakily nodded my head, “Yes, now, now I need you to listen,” I huffed out.
“Kin, kin,” He Tsu’tey begs, rolling his hips, the aphrodisiac from the powder fully taking effect.
“I know, baby, I know you need more, but I’m not ready,” I tried to explain to my needy mate.
 “Srung,” Tsu’tey nodded to himself.
Fix? Assistance? What does he mean?
Tsu’tey unwrapped himself from me before laying down, placing his head between my legs. Tsy’tey pulled me down to my knees, my cunt now above his face. Having forgo panties today, under my skit Tsu’tey stares at my bare cunt.
“Sevin,” He whispered reverently before pulling me down the rest of the way.
His long tongue eagerly licked at my cunt, like he was a starved man. His tongue was erratic as he licked at my hole, begging for entrance, only to move up to my clit, and nip and suck at it, only to repeat it all again.
“Tsu’tey!” I moaned as I threw my head back, the pleasure overwhelming.
I rolled my hips, grinding myself into Tsu’tey’s mouth. Tsu’tey went back to my hole, begging for entrance with his tongue, pocking and prodding until he was finally able to slip in. His wet muscle wiggled around inside my gummy walls. I gasped as his tongue filled me, long, thick, and wet, stretching my core.
“Yes, baby, more, give me more,” I demand, as I take my tits into my hands, rolling and kneading at them.
Tsu’tey obeyed happily, slipping in a finger alongside his tongue, stretching me even more as his thumb came to play with my clit. I groaned from the added digit, happy for more, as they worked sloppily in my pussy. The sounds of my wetness rang through our kelku, and it became even louder as Tsu’tey added another finger, removing his tongue, and thrust his finger erratically, moving them around, desperately needing me to be ready for this cock.
“Ftxìlor,” He mumbled before biting my inner thigh.
I could feel my high nearing, and I had to jump off. Knowing that I am going to cum many times in the near future, I need to save my energy.
“Kehe! Nì’ul!” Tsu’tey whined, trying to follow me.
I quickly put my foot in his chest, keeping him down, “‘Ì’awn,” I demand firmly, my skin still tingling as my heart pounds in my chest, distracted by my near high.
Tsu’tey lays there while rolling his hips. His central slit is completely relaxed, his cock peaking out, needing to breed. It’s hard and throbbing as it wrestles with his tewng, getting caught in the straps.
“Rutxe, rutxe, rutxe, nì’ul’ul,” Tsu’tey begged me, tears pricking at his eyes.
I pressed my foot harder into his chest, “‘Ì’awn,” This time, I was firmer in my tone, not leaving any room for him to disobey.
I removed my foot, watching as his hips rolled and his hands flexed by his side, wanting to reach and touch me. Tsu’tey’s body was flush and sweaty; he breathed harshly through his mouth, panting like a dog. His eyes stared unblinkingly at my pussy, the object of his desires. I leaned down and started to untie his tewng. The spines of his cock had started to get tangled in the straps. His large cock begins as the same color as his skin, then lightens as it progresses, with the tapered tip being a pretty lavender. The shaft is covered in firm spines that are similar to his kuru, each of them wiggling, wanting to lock inside their mate.
“Rutxe!” Tsu’tey’s muscles spasmed as he cried out.
I finally got the damned tewng untangled, and I threw it to the side; I quickly straddled him, “Mawey, muntxatan,” I cooed at him as I grabbed his cock, aligning it with my cunt.
I lowered myself onto his cock slowly. His cockhead slips past my entrance easily, but once I reach the spines on his cock it becomes more difficult. I groan as I force myself down as each spine pops inside me, each of his spines coming to life inside me, all of them eager to find a spot to lock inside me.
“Feel so good, Tsu’tey,” I moan as his cock rubs my walls.
Tsu’tey’s eyes were nearly black, and only a small ring of light green remained as moans slipped from his lips, his mind completely blank; the only thing that he could focus on was my wet heat surrounding his cock, and his need to breed me.
“Paskalin, win si,” Tsu’tey moaned deeply, his chest vibrating underneath me as he grabbed my hips, attempting to pull me down faster.
I smacked his hands away, refusing to go any faster, “Voìk si,” I demanded sternly as I slid another inch inside me.
“Paskalin, rutxe, rutxe,” Tsu’tey cried out as I continued my slow descent.
I lean up and hold his jaw in my hand, leading his lips to mine. We kiss messily, our mouths open, and our tongues collide, sliding against each other as we breathe each other's breath. I moan onto Tsu’tey as he whimpers; the pleasure of me ricking my hips magnifies the further down I get.
“Oh shit,” I whisper shakily as I bottomed out, every part of Tsu’tey’s cock filling me, making me feel whole.
The spines started to work harder, each of them wiggling around inside me, while some had already found their spot, hardening in place and refusing to budge. I bounded in place, racking his spines along my sensitive walls as I started to rub my clit. Everything was soaked from spit and my juices, making a sticky, slick mess underneath my thighs. My core was already wound tight from before; I just needed a little more,”
“Come on, baby, come on, give it to me, give me your cum Tsu’tey,” I mewled as I rocked myself more on his cock, even as it became more difficult.
Tsu’tey’s arms wrapped around me, sling me down so we were chest to chest, before he lifted his hips up and rocked into me. His cock never slipped an inch, simply dragging me back and forth, stuck on his cock. My hand had slipped from my clit, but it was crushed against Tsu’tey’s stomach, making me grind it as I was sent back and forth on his cock. Sending sharp pleasure through my body, causing tears to prick in my eyes.
Tsu’tey growled loudly as he neared his own release. His cock head found my cervix, grinding against it trying to seek entrance.
“Tsu’tey!” I whined as he breached my cervix, entering into a forbidden place.
It was a slow burn that heated the rest of my core, and it snapped the coil inside me. I came screaming; each of my limbs was shaking as I thrashed on top of Tsu’tey, crying my release. But Tsu’tey wasn’t done; the tendrils at the base of his cockhead, started to work. They wiggled themselves between his cock and the walls of my cervix, forming a tight seal. I whined as the tight space was forced even wider, my body already oversensitized. When finally he came, ropes upon rope of cum hit my womb, not a drop able to escape as it went deeper inside me. Tsu’tey held me close, his chest vibrating in a purr, happy to have finally bred his mate. I could feel the vibrations on my clit, causing me to flinch, as my body wasn’t ready to go again so soon. But I will have to anyway; Tsu’tey’s rut was triggered, and we have another four days of this.

Medic X gn!Reader: Songe d'Automne
ah yes, A fanfiction that dives into the popular fan theory whether Medic cares about his team or not due to his initial description. Let’s go.
Tumblr media
He hated everybody. Or so you often think. It was impossible to catch him without that sadistic grin whenever bathed in the blood of his enemies, or the glare whenever you asked him a science related question he deemed too obvious. But you felt something for him nonetheless. Whether it be pity for his sorry attitude or genuine affection. You didn’t quite know for sure.
The year was 1969. The cold breeze was chilling to your very core. Brilliant colors bringing fourth new sights once again like they do every year. Greeting you warmly with her open arms — autumn gracefully dawns her gown of gold and washes over the mountain base. Being stationed in the cold mountains was the very last thing you suspected from the Administrator. But the Gravel Wars had to move there for whatever reason nonetheless. Just in time for the season. You stood atop the base and looked over the sea of brown, orange, and yellow. Feeling nostalgic for the morning air and the leaves twirling to the ground for you like a million ballet dancers.
But not just leaves were content on riding the wind today. You heard the faintest drag of a violin. A beautiful song that sounded not depressing, not sad, not happy, but pensive.
You turnt your head to the source. Down below on the second floor of the base to the left was the Medbay. The window was wide open and you could hear the sweet melody coming from there.
That’s quite something.
You think Medic’s catholic and overall angelic aesthetic couldn’t get any more blunt. It was no mistake that the doctor carried himself with dignity and poshness. He waltzed around with the mysterious beauty of femininity and the physique of masculinity. His lab coat always resembled wings whenever he jumped down from a high place to rescue a teammate and the beautiful wedding doves that accompanied him reminded you of an angel who spoke to animals. He was indeed by all means an angel of death. A man who appeared as divine intervention but slaughtered his enemies with the insanity of Lucifer himself. — And he was playing a violin.
You made your way downstairs and hurried yourself over to the Medbay. Eager to get a look at what you were hearing. The closer you got to the source, the more you recognized the tune. Without a shadow of a doubt what you were hearing was the blessed Songe d’Automne. You remember hearing it on an old edison cylinder that your teacher had back in grade school.
You peaked through the slightly ajar door. Your eyes on the tall silhouette that stood in the very center of his quarters. His lab coat and medipack were still on him despite it being after work hours. He held the violin against his chin and worked the bow flawlessly without a sheet. His doves watching him from above on various medical tech and the ceiling beams; some laid dormant and asleep whilst some were curiously bobbing their head towards his direction.
For a second, you didn’t want to disturb your own peace. Although Medic was dangerous and you didn’t even know if he was capable of empathy, he certainly conveyed a lot of emotion through that song. Particularly an inherent desire for a clearer mind. You began to wonder as you listened if he maybe overthought stuff, loved, and cried just like you did.
You opened the door to meet him and he slowly took his bow from the instrument. Evidently hearing your approach. He opened his eyes and stared you down for a moment.
“Yes?” He asked.
You didn’t quite know what to say to him. In all honesty, you were enjoying the music. It was helping you relax after a long stressful day. You rubbed your own arm with your other hand to convey your nervousness to him.
“Can you play some more? It makes me feel safe.” You say. You decide that if Medic is going to be difficult with his emotions then you won’t.
You hear a deafening silence for a second. Followed by a heavy sigh. He brought the bow back to the strings and kept playing. This gesture was telling whether he liked it or not. A heartless man would’ve simply insulted you and shooed you away.
You get up on the hospital bed and curl up for a bit. Allowing yourself peace in the dimly lit Medbay. Normally all sorts of shenanigans and chaos would happen around here but it was a house of healing all the same. Medic was capable of breaking every bone in the human body.. But also healing them. If Medic was such a heartless man — why take it upon himself to build something so passionate?
You find yourself nodding off at the indirect comfort he gave you. Drifting quickly into slumber as your body found relaxation. Whatever you were worrying about could wait. Your peace of mind was more important at this moment.
Then you wake up hours later..
With a blanket neatly laid upon your body.

pairing: kylian mbappe x fem!reader [she/her]
warning(s): none
summary: the one where natural attraction occurs between two individuals
Tumblr media
The evening was young when the house party began. Casual and comfortable too, as young adults moved freely in the home to do and say as they wanted, conversations both intellectual and easy present to accommodate everyone's interests. Food laid out neatly, everyone vibing with the current tunes playing and discussions in session. It was safe to say that the party was moving smoothly, and it remained the same as Kylian arrived later on.
To protect his peace he would never admit it but Kylian loved house parties. As much as he loved football—dedicating his life to perfecting his craft as a profession—he, too, as big as he was, understood that sometimes he needed to step away from the sport for his own well-being, to destress and unclog his mind from the worries of tomorrow. And attending house parties was the perfect alternative, something familiar and cosy he could always ease into.
Heading out of a room, somewhere deep in the house, Kylian noticed something from the corner of his eyes. A PSG jersey, more specifically someone wearing his PSG jersey. She seemed to be in pensive thought, just casually in her element as her focus remained on the art hung up on the wall to inspect it, unaware of the presence inspecting her from afar. Until she was.
Noticing such presence from afar she turned towards Kylian with a blank stare. "I-I'm sorry," he stumbled, taking a few steps back. He had been so lost in his gaze, innocently observing her for no apparent reason, that he had forgotten how he might be received. "I wasn't trying to, I just came from—"
"Don't even worry about it." Suddenly, the blank stare turned into a timid smile, one friendly and rather inviting. "I mean while you're here, you might as well..." she added, waving Kylian over.
Initially, Kylian was careful in his steps towards her. He didn't know if he should invade her space considering he'd failed to respect it not even a few minutes ago. But the more he moved towards her, her smile failed to fall flat, failed to show any signs of discontent and discomfort towards him. So eventually he found himself standing beside her, and let his eyes wander to the art piece she had been inspecting. Instantly, his face screwed up. "Oh, I get what you mean."
The young woman shook her head, almost in disappointment. She folded her arms. "I'm just confused. Like what exactly am I looking at here? Like, I get art can be perceived all kinds of ways or whatever, but nothing comes to mind with this." She turned to Kylian, hopeful. "What do you think?"
Kylian huffed and thought for a quick moment. "I don't know. I mean it's—" he had to chuckle a bit. The artwork spoke to him as abstract and surrealistic but even he didn't know what he meant when he said those words, so did his opinion really hold any weight? "I have no clue."
"You think our party host knows what it's all about?" She wondered, inspecting the art further.
Again, Kylian had to laugh, covering his mouth with his hand. He knew the host, his friend, prioritised the appearance of the artwork in his house over its meaning. "I don't think he understands any of the art pieces he owns."
Then this—a moment of bonding over unjustifiable art—led to the pair sharing a conversation, shifting between intellectual and easy. And it was here where his initial thoughts were proved wrong. Sharing names Kylian came to learn that he was speaking to Y/N, someone who enjoyed art but not enough to pursue it as a profession. Instead, she was an explorer of activities and knowledge; she liked to do and learn new things on the regular.
Their conversation didn't carry much substance to it, simply just casual talk, laughter and opinions yet Kylian found himself engaged. From the moment he noticed Y/N from across the hall to where they were, he was there openly tuning into her words, her hand gestures as she spoke rather freely and watching out for all her reactions to everything he said to her.
The conversation, this person he was sharing it with, it was the exact thing that Kylian searched for whenever he wanted to step away from football. Y/N offered him something familiar and comfortable and friendly even though she had been just a stranger not even an hour ago.
From a moment of silence, quite from nowhere, he mentioned, "I think we should hang out more." It was something Kylian chose to say, with confidence and hope because he chose to believe there was something for him and Y/N. Friendship, partnership, simple mutuals—he didn't know exactly what but he didn't find any troubles in that uncertainty. The possibility of something was what kept the hope alive.
Y/N glanced at Kylian and nodded, her eyes going round. "Yeah, that would be nice," she said with a low voice before her eyes diverted to the pool, the two having chosen to settle by it not too long ago.
His smile faded, his expression soon dulling. "You don't sound too thrilled by that."
"That's not how it is, believe me. It's just..." She shook her head before exhaling deeply, trying to gather her thoughts, "Just look at it from my perspective, okay? You found me in peace and quiet, Kylian. We're having a conversation in peace and quiet. You think we would still have that same peace and quiet if we went back to the party, if we left this house? I enjoy my peace and quiet, I really do."
Kylian couldn't help but understand her words because Y/N was right. This wasn't the first time someone rejected his friendship or want for something more because of his notability– either they wanted him because he was a football player or they didn't want him because he was a football player.
And this was why he always wanted to stray away from football sometimes—he wanted to get away from the very thing that negatively affected his chances of truly connecting with others beyond football. It was unfair, of course, but that was just how it was and he couldn't do anything to change his situation.
"You could still have that," that peace and quiet, Kylian assured, "with me, you know? And I know that's hard to believe..." he shrugged, "but I can make things happen."
"You would do something just for me?"
"Just for you," he said smiling as he knocked their shoulders together.
The truth is, Kylian was someone who always strived and worked towards everything he wanted in life. Not by force, but with grace and quality. And that was the same thing he wanted with Y/N—he wanted to experience her conversations, enjoy her friendship, have her company when he could—all there was to offer.
What he enjoyed, what he appreciated the most were familiar and comfortable and friendly people and things, and Kylian would rather not let that go for an inconvenience that he could probably work around. So yes, he would make things happen just for her.
Y/N nodded slowly, taking in his words. "How about this... I'll give you my number and we go from there?" She offered as the corners of her mouth lifted.
Those words, Kylian's words, were spoken with care and dedication and for that, she was willing to give this person a chance at whatever it was to come for them. 'Cause the way he felt about her was mutual. She enjoyed his conversations, his laughs, his love for football, so much so that she wouldn't mind coming back to him sometime after this very house party.
So Kylian beamed, his grin reappearing upon his face. "Of course. Whatever you want to do."
Maybe it didn't seem like much, but it was much more for Kylian. For him, it was hope, an opportunity for everything he could have with Y/N. And whether or not they would go far or not didn't seem to bother him that much. 'Cause the chance to have Y/N in his life—the chance to have Kylian in her life—seemed like a blessing in itself.
And checking his phone when he was about to sleep later that night, he let himself experience a second of delight.
y/n: don't think i saw a single art piece in there that i liked... fancy going to an art museum sometime 👀
That's why he kept the hope alive; they would soon find one another again.

Cub didn't care that his clothes were getting increasingly covered in dyes. That was to be expected. He had so much testing to do of the fireworks his factory created, to make sure he was only selling his best quality work. Did some occasionally explode in his face and shower him with dye? Sure! Came with the territory. It's why he'd figured out how to enchant his glasses with mending, so they didn't break completely when a firework went off too close to him. They didn't break anymore.
He couldn't really smell anything else these days except for gunpowder, flowers, and redstone. Did that matter? Not really. It was too much fun to play around with explosive fireworks. It was all he thought about. All he dreamed about.
So of course he didn't notice that that small patch of cyan dye on the back of his lab coat wasn't just cyan dye mixed with a little black. He didn't notice the little shimmers of light, the places where it was clear that it wasn't dye but skulk. Cub had other things on his mind. he wasn't thinking about skulk.
But of course he was always thinking about skulk. It had never really left him, just gone dormant, waiting for the right moment to reappear. He'd felt it in his bones towards the end of last season, as he was tending to the museum. Was he afraid of it? Maybe a little, in the same way he was a little afraid of the Vex when They decided to possess him. It never stopped him going to ancient cities though.
That said, it had felt strange to be in the deep dark on a new world. The skulk felt both familiar and not. It had been like that when they'd visited the Emperors too. The skulk there was particularly vicious and possessive in a way it hadn't been on other worlds. Perhaps it's why he was possessed. He was stupid enough to go into the fog and get himself possessed.
But the skulk back on Hermitcraft was...
Cub didn't really know how to describe it. It had still sunk its tendrils into his brain, he had willingly obeyed it when it had need of him, but it lacked something. And the skulk on this new world was... pensive. Curious. It clearly recognised the dormant skulk within him, but didn't know why it was there.
Cub sensed it when he touched the skulk, walked over it slowly, hoping not to disturb the place. He knew how sacred this place was to the skulk. How he shouldn't disturb the Mourner. He understood now. He knew now. Wordless memories, pictures of ancient times that Cub couldn't really interpret properly, floated into his mind. The time before. The time before there was mourning and sadness and a need to isolate. A time when there was light, and life.
Whenever Cub found himself down in the deep dark, he always wanted to sink his fingers into the skulk, making contact, even if the skulk didn't seem to care about possessing him this time. It seemed to think him... not tainted. Sacred? Chosen to host the skulk and give it a body? Cub didn't quite know how to interpret the feelings.
No. It wasn't quite that. It was more... a feeling of kindredness. Was that even a word? Cub didn't know. He just knew the skulk didn't seem to see him as an enemy. As long as he was respectful in the deep dark, as long as he didn't awaken the Mourner, made no sound at all, he felt safe there. Which was both a familiar feeling, and also a strange one.
Sometimes, he felt he was always in the deep dark when was working in the factory. It wasn't his fault that the skulk really showed off the fireworks really nicely. It was like a substitute starry sky, but he couldn't deny that having the skulk close brought him a little comfort. It wasn't whispering to him, wasn't really doing anything other than just being there, but it was nice to have. Could he have just used black concrete? Sure. But why use black concrete when skulk was right there and available? He didn't need to craft that.
And maybe, every so often, when he was cleaning out the testing chamber, maybe his lab coat got a little more skulk stained, and maybe it was hidden just as quickly by all the dyes he was surrounded by as he got back to the work of testing fireworks and seeing just how many different combinations he could make and sell. And maybe that was for the best, somehow.
