Hallo!! I have this idea stuck in my head for a year 💀. And it just came back to me to greet me a hello, can I please request Housewardens meeting the Descendants characters. Idk if you know the Descendants, it's a movie that was popular when it was around probably 2018 or 2019 probably before that lol. So the characters of Descendants are basically just the children of the villains. Sorry for my trashy explanation and thank you!!!
Hey!! Thank you for your message, but my requests have closed for now!! This idea sounds interesting, although I haven’t seen the Descendants movies in a very long time. I don’t think I’d be able to write the Descendants cast well enough imo, but the TWST cast and Descendant’s cast are Villain-adjacent so it’d be interesting to see how they’d react to each other 👀

Floyd!!! FLOYD!!!!!!!!

[Call of Your Name]
Synopsis: You noticed that Floyd doesn't call you Shrimpy anymore.
Genre: Fluff
Pairing: Floyd Leech x Reader

The first time Floyd called you by your name, it had given you whiplash. Part of it was because you had never heard the tall eel-mer say your name before, much less scream it from across the courtyard. It felt oddly natural, the way it escaped his lips in that cheery way he always spoke.
But the other part was because he had practically bulldozed through you and your group of friends to scoop you in his arms, eliciting panicked yelps and bewildered expressions from everyone—including Ace, who had recovered the fastest and carried a sort of subdued smile, almost as if this was the last time he’ll ever see you again. You couldn’t hold back cursing at him when Floyd carried you away with a maniacal cackle.
The fact that Floyd didn’t call you by his sea life-themed nickname had quickly disappeared from your mind. No, you were too busy laughing as the eel had nearly face-planted rounding a corner too fast.
The second time Floyd called you by your name, you were still taken aback. When Floyd had said it this time around, you were on your way to your first period alone as Grim was forced to take an early morning remedial lesson with Professor Trein. The mer had scared you by suddenly draping his much bigger form over your body, nearly making you crumple under his weight with a strangled yelp all while Jade stood by his side with an amused smile. You barely had a chance to shoot the vice-housewarden a glare when the taller twin unceremoniously dumped a lunchbox bundled in a cute eel cloth in your shaky arms.
“Here, Jade made a bunch of mushroom dishes, but I don’t wanna eat it,” He explained with a disgusted grimace upon seeing your confused appearance. Jade let out a chuckle, raising a curved finger to his lips to hide his sharpened teeth.
“This past excursion was rather bountiful,” The eel visibly preened. He must’ve noticed the wariness in your stare cause Jade simply placed a hand on his chest with a grin that was a little too wide for your liking. “Do not worry. There isn’t anything too harmful, but do let me know if you experience any side effects,”
“You’ll eat it all up, won’t you?” The way Floyd spoke made it sound like it was less of a question and more of a demand, but you were too focused on how he said your name once more. It easily slipped in at the end, where his usual “Shrimpy” would’ve been in that sunny tone that stirred something inside of you.
And judging by Jade’s countenance, he noticed the change too. Despite him still carrying a perfectly polite expression on his face, there was a noticeable widening of his eyes and sudden stillness that told you he was just as stunned as you were. However, it disappeared shortly afterwards and his lips stretched wider into something much sharper that sent chills down your spine. But before you could comment on it, Floyd had dragged Jade away with a dazzling smile and an enthusiastic wave over his shoulder.
The third time Floyd called you by your name, you were determined to ask about it. It was unfortunately one of the times where the eel had swooped in and deemed that if he was going to be stuck at Mostro Lounge, then you were going to be there too.
Floyd was oddly compliant working that day, perhaps in one of his favorable good moods. He had sat you in a booth and walked away into the kitchen for several minutes. When you had started to question if you had been abandoned or not, Floyd had returned with a rather scrumptious looking dish. He set it before you with a flourish of his hands and expectant glimmer in his gaze that practically insisted you to take a bite. So when you did, Floyd’s already happy demeanor grew brighter. He had practically crooned your name as he leaned down to nuzzle the crown of your head.
“Hey, can I ask you something?” You began after swallowing your bite, your eyes shooting upwards. Floyd hummed in response, the vibrations rumbled nicely against you, but you ignored it in favor of finally getting an answer to your burning question. “Why did you start using my name instead of Shrimpy?” “Huh?” Floyd had pulled back with a curious blink. The moray eel stared at you for a moment, and there was something flickering in his dual-colored hues before a wide grin broke out across his face. With a barking laugh, Floyd reached out to pat your head, akin to petting a dog for doing something cute. “‘Cause that’s your name, duh! You’re so silly!”
And then he walked away, effectively ending the conversation without a second thought. Unfortunately for you, Floyd’s response had very much not answered your question—Though it was a pretty standard Floyd reply if you had ever heard of one.
So with a long sigh, you had returned to your meal, shoving another spoonful into your mouth. As you chewed, you noticed Jade approaching your table with a colorful fizzy drink in hand. The eel nodded politely at you as he set down the glass within your reach.
“Here you go, prefect,” Jade said smoothly with a smile that had an ominous tinge to it. The sight had you scooting further away from the brother, but Jade took a step forward in tandem with your movement. “You know, Floyd has always given people his endearing nicknames, ever since we were young elvers. When we first met Azul, he had dubbed him ‘Octy’,”
“But he doesn’t call him that anymore,” Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion while you peered up at the tall eel-mer. His predatory leer had long honed in on you, his golden eye seemingly gleamed underneath the lounge’s violet and blue lights.
“No, he doesn’t,”
“Why?”
“In Floyd’s words, “Azul is Azul”. Thus, there is no need for a nickname for him,” He responded, an amused air radiating around him. “Perhaps to him, you’re just you,”
“What does that mean?” You groaned, falling back into your seat with a huff. As always, Jade was acting both cryptic and smug—a wicked combination that could only belong to the cunning Leech. And it seemed to be at your expense, judging by the chuckle that he released; one that he wanted you to know he was laughing at you.
“Though you do end up doing incredibly idiotic things at times—” Jade started, ignoring your indignant sputtering. “I would like to think you, yourself, aren’t so stupid,”
“That’s not exactly a compliment, Jade,” You said, dryly. Jade’s smile spanned across his face.
“I never said it was,” Jade said, pleasantly. Your frown deepened at his words, but perhaps he finally took pity on your poor, unfortunate soul because his gloved hand came to rest on your shoulder. “My dear brother tends to wear his heart on his sleeve. I suggest you take the time to observe it,”
There was a particular knowing look in his eyes that had you nodding, taking his advice to heart.
The fourth time Floyd called you by name, it was during one of his bad moods. Azul was the one that called you. Apparently, it was a particularly bad day for Floyd, though the housewarden didn’t go into too much detail.
Why did he call you? That you couldn’t say, but you still stood up from your ramshackle couch, told Grim you’d be back, and made your way to Octavinelle. You breezed past the Mostro Lounge and headed straight to the dorm’s pool. After knocking and not receiving a response, you entered the room.
The lights were dimmed, but it was just enough for you to make your way to the pool’s edge. You slipped off your shoes and socks and dipped your feet into the cool waters, watching the ripples disturbed the surface. The pool was dark and inky, almost mirroring the bottom of the Coral Sea. You couldn’t make out anything in the murky depths, but you knew you weren’t alone.
“Hello…?” You called out, yet nothing happened for a handful of seconds. Your voice echoed off the tiled walls and there was a solemn silence that hung instead.
Then there was a little ripple that broke the calm waters. It was a little away from you, but you noticed strands of teal hair and Floyd’s golden and olive gray hues emerging from the depths. Even with his face scrunched in a nasty scowl, he was still breathtakingly beautiful in his merform.
“Go away,” Floyd growled, the sound very unlike how it usually was. Instead of it being high and lilting, it was low and full of barely restrained anger. “Not in the mood, and I don’t wanna take it out on ya,”
In spite of his foul mood, the way he spoke your name was surprisingly kind, almost as if he didn’t want to taint your name. And that was enough to have your heart stuttering in your chest and Jade’s words echoing in your head.
Floyd truly did wear his heart on his sleeve.
“Well, I don’t want to leave,” You spoke softly, never once looking away from him. “We don’t have to do anything, but I’d like to sit here with you,”
For a few moments, Floyd was eerily still, just staring straight into your eyes. Whatever he found in your gaze had his scowl softening, and he sank back into the pool. Not a beat later did Floyd’s long arms emerge from the water and coiled around your waist. The eel slithered his upper body out of the pool shortly afterwards, his fins fluttering as he rested his head on your lap. He was dripping water onto your clothes, but you didn’t mind.
Instead, you raised your hand to rake your fingernails against his scalp, displacing his damp strands. There was a low hum that came from him and the tight tension built into Floyd’s body slowly ebbed away. You don’t know how long you sat there in silence, giving Floyd head rubs. With how even his breath was and how slack his form became, you would’ve assumed he had fallen asleep if it weren’t for his unblinking eyes staring up at you.
“You’re too nice,” Floyd had broken the silence with a steady tone and a squeeze of your waist. His golden eye glowed rather enchantingly, capturing your attention like prey to an anglerfish’s lure. “Someone’s gonna take advantage of ya,”
“Maybe,” You hummed in response while your hand drifted down to cup his face. Your thumb ghosted the facial markings on his cheek that smoothed over his shimmering scales, earning another charming hum from him. “But you wouldn’t let them, right?”
Finally, Floyd blinked. Then he laughed. It wasn’t sharp or biting—No, it was high-pitched and breathy, the same, familiar way that told you he found something incredibly amusing. And it was the same one that made everything else disappear and cause your face to break out into a smile.
Slowly, his laughter softened into tiny chuckles. Floyd pulled himself further out of the water to nuzzle against your stomach. His arms tightened more around your waist, staying perfectly firm and not overly tight.
“Nah, I’d bite them if they tried,” He replied and tilted his head upwards. The mer gnashed his pointy teeth together, making an exaggerated biting motion that had you giggling at the sight with a flurry of butterflies in your stomach.
And you whole-heartedly believed him. After all, how could you not when he said it with such a sweet and honest gaze?
So, the fifth time Floyd called you by your name, it had all clicked. Classes had just released for the day, and you were walking down the hall by yourself. Deuce had plans to meet up with Cater to help fix an amp for the Pop Music Club, Ace left to participate in a croquet tournament at Riddle’s behest, and Grim had bolted to the cafeteria for an afternoon snack.
As you had no real plans, aside from some homework sheets that were due in a few days, you were in no rush to get back to the Ramshackle dorm. So you were okay with clinging to the side of the hallway, standing next to one of the many open windows as other students left their classes and made their way to club rooms or the Hall of Mirrors. The hallway was rather crowded, and you were more than happy to not get squished in between the numerous bodies.
Among the sea of students, you spotted a flash of teal that stood much taller than most of the student body. A smile tugged at the corner of your lips as you noticed the laid-back expression on Floyd’s face. His eyes drifted across the hall lazily before landing on you off to the side. There was a noticeable shift in his demeanor, and he physically perked up once your eyes connected.
He yelled your name so loudly, startling the nearby students around him. To many, it would’ve been terrifying watching the tall moray eel make a bee-line towards them, but you rather enjoyed it. In spite of the fearful students scampering to get out of his way, you would say Floyd looked downright endearing.
And in that moment, watching Floyd with his giddy grin and outstretched arms, everything had suddenly fallen into place. It was by all means a usual sight, yet something just clicked for you. The reason why he called you by your name suddenly made sense, and you could feel your adoration towards him nearly bursting at the seams.
So, as he was a few feet from you, you extended your arms to the sides, fully ready for the incoming hug.
“Floyd!” His name left your lips in the manner yours did from his: Natural, sunny, and kind. And you can see that something tender shifted heterochromatic hues before he scooped you into his arms. His hold was unyielding yet wholly him as he practically swung you around, making the hallway and nearby students turn into streaks of colors. But you didn’t mind at all.
Because to you, Floyd was Floyd, and that was all you needed.

ok our chat about lighthouse keeping had spiked my interest in the history and duties again
and i've got more than just this but this is one of the channels im subscribed to that showed up in the search
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNJUZtyo-RI&list=WL&index=11
and depending on the time period you want to set your fiction in can influence the schedule and duties of a lighthouse keeper, or whether there is one at all (like modern-day USA lighthouses except for the Boston Light, are all automated and no longer have keepers, as said in the article down below) https://www.nps.gov/articles/lighthouse-keepers.htm
but basically for 19th century lighthouse keepers, they were either stationed near a town where they would be able to leave during the day if they so needed/wished, but had to be back by dark to keep the light on. and back then they used gas/oil lamps to keep the light going, so wicks and oil needed to be replenished through the night, so it was an all-night job, and day time they could do whatever, but that also included their regular-degular day to day housework and chores and junk.
some lighthouse keepers lived with their families in the quarters connected to the lighthouse, or in a house nearby. and they would help with the daily work (some spouses could even be bequeathed the job of lighthouse keeper in the event of death)
and also they would be first-responders to a shipwreck nearby (so the silver fic is SPOT ON, he washed up on shore and that lighthouse keeper would be contractually obligated to do something in that event. that was good vibin' right there!)
and although it's a little more ambiguous where that fic in particular was set, you could argue that it was near briar valley enough, to also be a less automated area, and would indeed require a keeper even in the modern day. if you wanna.
Horribly late to responding to this BUT there’s a lot to unpack here!
This is referring to this fic!
I mainly took a long time to respond bc I wanted to give this proper attention. I watched the video, and I really liked how the information was broken down. Learning more about how lighthouse duties have been less of duty and more of a lifestyle was interesting, esp given how important it would be for trade, travel, etc. It sucks that they weren’t paid a lot in return to how much upkeep they really had to do. Those lighthouses are massive, and with constant erosion from the sea/water/environment, you’d definitely need more than one person managing that 🤯 ig it’s easy to confuse the jobs of a Lightkeeper because their job is ‘all of the above.’
It is nice that I Accidentally Made The Fic Accurate based on The Vibes™️. If I had to specify where the Reader/Yuu is in the fic, probably somewhat near Briar Valley but between the human and fae areas. Perhaps an integrated area, where magic can oversee the main docking/harbor areas? It could also be that the specific lighthouse Reader was manning, would no longer be in a ‘main’ docking area (due to inconvenient location or modernization is up to interpretation) but rather hold historical significance so it can’t be abandoned per se, but needs someone to manage it. Enter our lovely alt Reader who doesn’t mind some seaside spooks!~
Side note I did enjoy the main quest in the video aka making the corn chowder! Somehow the Tasting History series has managed to find a Very Specific History Niche that itches my brain nicely, and I watched a few of the medieval videos 🥰
Thank you for sending this in!! ❤️❤️❤️

hello! I have no idea if you write for Rollo or no since I just found your blog(I think so since I checked that you write for every character) but if not you can replace him with Kalim. Anyways may I request one of them with prompts 1, 13 and 30 as an imagine? Like in your Jamil fic I imagine Yuu/reader as a pirate being watched by either one of them(except they’re oblivious to it while the rest of the crew caught on and tries to warn them) Anyways Yuu/reader goes into a grotto to look for treasure and suddenly gets jumpscared by either one of them. Instead of getting attacked they just give Yuu/reader a pearl because they think Yuu/reader is pretty or just a good person based on their observations. I imagine your inbox is probably flooded by now so take your time with this🫶
💌Request received! Thank you for your message~
Dw anon I do write for Rollo! Sorry it’s taken so long, this ended up being more of a one-shot than an imagine. I hope that’s ok, and I hope you enjoy!~
Rollo Flamme, ft. Pearl, Sirens, & Grotto
It all started when Rollo heard you singing.
As your ship pulled into the harbor, your song - a haunting Fleur City melody about the mysterious bellkeeper - reverberated over the waves. Rollo had been underneath the docks when he heard you. Being a siren, he was drawn to song, although he rarely sang himself. But he never expected such loveliness from a human.
You were sailing with your friends on the Red Queen to Fleur City for their Festival of Fools. Finally, after weeks at sea, you could finally eat some real food! You munched cheerfully on a croissant while ambling through the streets, unaware that below the docks, you were being watched.
As Rollo skulked under the docks, careful not to make a sound, he scowled. Humans were a stain on Fleur City - with their buildings, ships, and their infernal merry-making festivals. Rollo sneered disdainfully, bringing his handkerchief up to his face. Such uncouth rowdiness. Abhorrent.
But you were a curious human. Your eyes were filled with innocent curiosity as your ship docked, and you weren’t like those other noisy humans arguing and laughing. No, you were quiet, awe-struck. Rollo’s eyes widened as the sunlight caught on you, illuminating you on the ship while the wind tousled your outfit. You must be different from the others. Your voice was as lovely as the Bell of Solace.
Currently, you were relaxing on the dock. You kicked your legs, singing a silly tune you overheard from the festival called “Topsy-Turvey” with a large grin. Below, Rollo watched your legs, soundlessly pressing his handkerchief to his face with a frown. Even that infernal song sounded angelic with your voice.
Suddenly, he heard footsteps from the far end of the dock. He narrowly escaped beneath your legs, swimming rapidly away. He mustn’t be seen watching you. Not by you, other merfolk, or your infernal human friends.
“Hey! (Name)!” Ace sat down next to you, chatting about the festival. You smiled animatedly, excitedly showing each other the souvenirs you got, unknowing that Rollo was still watching you from afar, this time concealed by his grotto.
“-and this guide talks about the treasure of Fleur City!” You gestured excitedly to the pamphlet at Ace, who was sweatdropping already. “Legend has it that a mysterious sea creature watches over the city and hides in a cave nearby!” Ace rolled his eyes, “that’s just a kid’s story, no way there’s actually a sea creature in these waters.” You smacked his arm, “have some imagination!” The two of you chatted, until Ace looked over at the ocean.
”Uh, (Name)?” You glanced over at Ace. Your friend looked at you with some discomfort, “you think there’s something following you?” You frowned, “no, why?” Ace shrugged, “thought I saw something in the water whenever we came near the docks. It only seems to be around you, though.”
You merely rolled your eyes, “quit it with your tall tales, Ace.” “Wha- Me and Deuce saw it!” Ace blustered as you stood, dusting yourself off, “so did Trey and Cater!” You ruffled his hair, laughing when he swatted you, “whatever, dummy. Let’s go find the others!”
Rollo watched you go, intrigue in his eyes. (Name)… Your name echoed in his head as he slunk back into the shadows. Interesting.
Later that day, the festival was in full swing. You could help but grin. People with stilts walked through the streets, and musicians were on every streetcorner playing merry tunes. Laughter filled the air, and you grinned behind your festival mask. As you leaned back against a railing, watching a man on stilts throw a baton of fire in the air, you heard a splash behind you. You glanced back, catching a glimpse of strange green eyes and a weird tricorn hat.
You frowned slightly, watching the trail of bubbles swish away in the distance. You quietly slipped out of the reverie and into the night. As you padded closer, you heard a song echoing from a nearby cave. The voice was low, haunting, and sent a thrilling chill down your spine. Who’d be out here, instead of at the festival?
You yelped when a hermit crab skittered across your show, and the song stopped. Heart pounding, you peeked into the cave. There was no one there, except for small trinkets. Large swaths of ship sails draped the bare walls, and glowing from a large pool in the center illuminated the cave.
Was this where the treasures of Fleur City were buried? You walked into the cave, careful not to disturb anything, when a stern voice comes from the side. “What are you doing here?”
You flinched, looking up to see a stern looking man on the rocks. He wore purple and magenta robes, with a tricorn hat sitting on his silver hair. Shineless green eyes bore into yours, and a ruby ring glinted off his hands as he tapped his fingers impatiently. “I-well, I…”
Your mouth went dry when you realized he wasn’t standing up. His robes were the same color as his… tail?
Softly shimmering scales caught your attention, hidden under his robes. You showing up here was not what he’d planned. Rollo cleared his throat, “you shouldn’t be here.” He frowned with disdain, but it didn’t quite reach his eyes.
You rushed out before he could continue, “I’m sorry for breaking in! I didn’t mean any harm.” He merely waved off your comment, “I am not upset at your intrusion. Rather, I’m pleased to meet you,” he regarded you with a strange look. After exchanging names, he clasped his hands and smiled slightly. His eyes bore into yours without ever breaking away.
“You must be weary after dealing with the other humans’ absurdity at that festival. I don’t blame you for taking refuge.” You frowned, “no, I’m not tired of it… oh! The festival!” Your friends must’ve noticed your absence! You rose from your seat on a rock next to Rollo.
Rollo hummed, “you should go back to the other humans. Surely, your… friends,” he said with disdain, “will be looking for you?” Your eyes widened. You’d been gone for a little while. You nodded, turning to leave. As you were about to step outside the grotto, Rollo forced a word out, “wait.”
You stopped, looking back. Rollo had went into the pool of water for a moment, and surfaced holding a clamshell in his hands. “For you,” he said in a hushed voice.
“Will you come back?” He’d seized your hands, looking at you imploringly. You smiled and nodded, “sure! When I get some time off tomorrow,” he let go of you, watching your leaving figure wistfully.
As you walked back, your curiosity got the better of you. You turned the clamshell over in your hands, gasping when you pried it open. A glittering gray-green pearl sat nestled inside, seeming to glow as it caught the light. Your eyes glistened. It was pretty big too. Was this the mythical treasure of Fleur City?
Meanwhile, Rollo watched you leave. Seeing you return to the human world made his mouth curl into a sneer. Instinctively, he covered his mouth with his handkerchief, never taking his eyes off your back. For now though, in this indulgent moment, he would wait patiently, hopefully, for your return to him.

This isn’t a request, I just saw a post and I thought you’d get a kick out of it.
Imagine Yuu and your Fav character sitting and enjoying the day. And someone walking by asking if “you’re dating”. And Yuu says “No, we’re friends with benefits… I’m the benefit.” 🤣🤣
This is great 🤣 i read this as Yuu and Floyd at first (alas I’ve been cursed with eel brain) but it goes for lots of different characters. With Floyd specifically I can see it going like this:
Person walking by: what’s the benefit?
Yuu, while Floyd is in the background wreaking havoc and chaos: an alibi
Yuu covers for Floyd in true shrimp-like fashion and Floyd gets to bring his emotional support shrimp on his adventures. Win-win!

Hello! May I request Azul with prompts 25 and 30 as a oneshot? I hope you have a fantastic day^_^
💌Request received!! Thank you for your message anon~ I hope you’re having a great day too!! Hope you enjoy!!
Azul Ashengrotto, ft. Storm & Grotto
The weather forecast betrayed you.
You held your now-damp bag over your head, dashing into the little grotto. You panted, leaning against the rocky walls as you caught your breath. It wasn’t too bad here. You flinched when thunder rolled outside. Perhaps you should go in a little deeper, if only not to get struck by lightning.
You trudged in, looking at the rocky walls until something caught your eye. From further in, a strange glow from beneath a pool of water casted lights waving on the walls. You stood over the water. It was deep. You couldn’t really see the bottom, but you could see something golden from below. Too bad the storm made the water currents too choppy, even here - you couldn’t make out what it was.
You sighed when you heard the storm pick up. Looks like you’ll be stuck here for a while. You sat down, closing your eyes. You dipped your feet into the water, listening to the rainfall echo into the cave, kicking your feet and feeling the currents rush past your skin.
From below, Azul frowned at yet another contract. The wording just wasn’t right yet. This deal had to be water-tight. He sighed, and was about to grab a fresh contract from a stack when a water current surged through the underwater grotto. It slid from his hands, and he tried grasping it with his tentacles.
Somehow, it slid around his limbs upwards. He dragged a hand over his face in a groan, and eased himself up. He was about to surge upwards when he stopped.
Up towards the light trickling into the water, two distinctly human legs swished around making a current. Azul blinked, curiosity filling him. A human? Here? Quietly, he crept closer, watching you from below. He couldn’t help a sly grin spreading on his face. You must be here to make a deal. His reputation must precede him! Now, how would he go about making his first deal with a human?
You tossed your head back, eyes closed, humming. You flinched when you heard thunder boom outside the grotto, followed by a flash of lightning. A loud crack! echoed along the grotto walls and your head spun around in time to see rocks cave in the entrance.
“No, no…!” You nearly slid on the rainwater, trying to shove the rocks out. Rain trickled in, and you heard thunder muffled from beyond. The rocks were too heavy, you soon realized. The grotto was darker, now, but light still emanated from the pool of water. It’s all thanks to those glowing things, you slowly walked back.
As if this couldn’t get any worse, you felt your foot hit something over the edge in the dark. Your gut tightened when you heard a plop! hit the water. Your head turned just in time to see your backpack float for a millisecond on the surface, but sink underwater just as you lunged for it. You groaned loudly, kneeling over the water and flailing your arms in the water fruitlessly. Well, there goes your wallet and snacks.
Azul’s thoughts were interrupted when something fell on his head. He frowned at it, before hearing bubbles from above. When he saw your hands swishing in the water, and muffled groans from above, a slow, sly smile spread on his face. An opportune moment.
You flopped on your back with an exasperated sigh, exhaustion overtaking you. You and didn’t notice a head of silver hair peek from the water surface, watching you curiously with his tentacles wrapped around the handles of your bag. How curious, Azul thought as he sunk back into the underwater grotto. Was this human waiting out the storm?
You blinked blearily, realizing slowly that the storm seemed to have passed. You sat up with a groan, rubbing your head and feeling around for your bag. Your heart sank when you remembered that your bag was now gone in the dark, murky waters.
You huffed. You were about to flop back in self pity when you heard a smooth voice intone, “well, how unfortunate you look~”
You yelped, starting to pull your feet out of the water when two ink-dark tentacles wrapped around your ankles. “Please, don’t be alarmed!” Azul balanced himself on some of the rocks, keeping his lower body beneath the water. He studied you carefully, and you looked at him warily. He had an odd gleam in his eye. Azul tried not to grin.
If he played his cards right, his business could extend to the humans! And not only that, all those merfolk who talked badly about him would realize he’d done what they never could - interact with the humans and befriend them. That’ll show them to laugh at him.
Now, how did humans interact again? He waved a hand in the air, with the other on his chest. “I was swimming by when I couldn’t help but notice you. Naturally, I am a benevolent mer. My one true wish is to help the miserable, lonely, and depressed,” he said patronizingly, words dripping with sympathy.
You slowly nodded, “well, I just lost my bag in the water…” you bit your lip, “it had all my money in it. I don’t know how I’ll get back home without it.”
“Ah!” Azul feigned shock that even you knew was false. “Could it be this?” Your rucksack hung on an outstretched tentacle tantalizingly. It wasn’t even wet either - it was completely dry.
You brightened, “my bag! Thank you-“ you reached for it when Azul moved it backwards over the water, away from you. One small move and you’d topple straight into the depths.
“Ah ah ah-!” Azul waved a finger at you, a cunning smile over his lips. “Now, I had to go through quite the ordeal to keep this safe.” He gave you a meaningful look, and your shoulders slumped. You blinked at him, “…would you like me to pay you back? I don’t have much…”
Azul merely waved you off, “what I’d like is a token, merely a trifle!” He gave you a charming smile, leaning on an elbow as he moved closer to you. “But we can discuss payment later. You will be needing help getting back home, correct?”
He gestured at the caved-in entrance, making you sigh heavily.
You glanced back at the cave-in. There was no way you’d move the rocks enough to escape. Not without hurting yourself. You nodded slowly, “okay. I’ll accept your help.”
Azul’s charming smile was accompanied by deviousness in his eyes when he handed you the breathing potion. “I will personally escort you to the shore, through this passage.” He gestured below him, into the grotto underwater.
“Well? Do we have a deal?” He asked, eyes half lidded. “Well,” you bit your lip, drinking the potion, “I’ve always wanted to visit the merfolk…”
“What a coincidence!” Azul proclaimed, tugging you along through the grotto. You looked around at the golden lights. Were those golden parchments? Azul couldn’t stop grinning. You were practically laying the deal out on a platter for him. “Why not visit my restaurant in Atlantica City! Perhaps if you like it, you could bring your human friends!”
Free advertising, free bragging rights for befriending a human, he grinned at the merfolk passing by gawking at you. You smiled at him sweetly, lacing your hand in his, “thank you, I really appreciate it!”
For a moment, Azul’s heartbeat stuttered. His eyes widened. And a free friend?
The way I overthink while writing fics 💀 hope this was ok anon!! Thank you for your req!!

Hello :) I have an Angst/ Comfort writing prompt for the leech twins (separate please, but Floyd is my personal favorite) with a smaller, very “aware of their surroundings” Fem!Reader (or Gen!Neutral Reader). ((I wanna play into the twins mafia allegations 🤣)
She has her head on a swivel and it’s usually unconscious from growing up in a shady neighborhood in her world. Can’t sneak up on her. The twins have tried.
Reader has gotten close to the Octavinelle Trio and spends most of her time around them. Enjoying their company and exchanging street smart knowledge with them.
One day, reader and the twins go out on the town together to run some errands for monstro lounge. While out, they stop for lunch at a café.
Out of the corner of Reader’s eye, she sees a familiar glint from the other side of a window and is shouting at the twins to get down! Grabbing them and instinctively covering their heads with her body as the glass explodes. They tumble to the floor for cover as chaos ensues.
Then the twins smell a smell they’re all too familiar with. Blood.
Reader goes limp while still protecting the twins heads, loosing consciousness from the pain. Her back horribly shredded.
The twins work to get their dear friend to safety, and then they go hunting. Turns out the attacker was an enemy of their father.
My questions;
How would the twins punish their attacker?
How would they react to realizing this paranoid little minnow saved them, and maybe realizing their own feelings for reader and it being put into perspective because she got hurt actively saving them from likely a fatal blow?
How would the twins help her heal & would they get possessive/overly protective till either she was healed and they calmed down… if the twins ever did calm down?
OP!!! you DELIVERED with the angst/comfort prompt!!! THANK YOU FOR THE FOOOOOOOOOD 💙💙💙
Aight Here we go *slams hands on table* okay. So I ended up writing more than I should have. ITS FULL SCENARIO TIMEEE
💙You were a careful person. That much was easy to know, because somehow you always knew when Jade and Floyd were sneaking up on you.
💙Floyd would try to glomp you, but somehow you always knew when he was there and move out of the way, making him fall flat on his face. He always thought it was funny.
“Shrimpy! How’d you do that?!” Somehow, you managed to spot Floyd coming from around the corner and down the hall, ducking in time for him to launch himself on top of poor Ace. Floyd merely grinned at you, ignoring Ace’s groans. You shrugged, “I’m just built different.” You dodged his swipes at your legs and hurried on, leaving Ace and Floyd tangled together.
💙Meanwhile, Jade was a lurker. He’d watch you from afar, hand posed over his heart while you merely hummed and continued with your work. When he slowly walked up behind you, you’d merely turn and smile at him unfazed.
“Hello, Jade. Is that a new species?” You nodded to the mushroom. His smile only widened, “Yes, I just got it from this morning’s hike. Care to try it? I have a new dish in mind~” he’d chuckle deeply, eyes never leaving your form. You were a strange human. Strange, and careful.
💙Surprisingly, you got along well with the Octavinelle trio. You moved past their attempts to take Ramshackle, and became pretty good friends with the twins. You’d share street knowledge and tips you’d learned over the years.
💙They’d share some tips with you, too. Sometimes they’d allude to it, but you got a different vibe from the Leeches. Sometimes Jade’s smile was a little too sadistic when things got out of hand. And sometimes Floyd’s eyes got a little too manic when he squeezed someone he really didn’t like.
💙You picked up knowledge here and there, but you pieced together that, at least, Jade and Floyd’s family was not a normal family. You’d never gotten straight answer out of them, but you had an idea.
“So, what do your parents do?” You sat on the bar, swinging your legs. The twins were closing up in the Lounge, with Jade washing the dishes and Floyd drying them. Jade chuckled deeply, while Floyd grinned sharply at you. “Ya sure you want an answer, Shrimpy?” You merely swallowed and leaned back. Conversation over.
Now, let’s set the scene~
💙One morning, the two of them were outside Ramshackle. You were blearily rubbing your eyes when they invited you out to scope a rival café. “It’s on Azul’s tab~” Floyd sing-songed, looming over you. You nodded, smiling slowly. “Let me get changed.”
💙While you were out, the three of you ran errands for the Lounge. Sourcing new ingredients, talking to investors, and other things. You and Floyd started playing hide-and-seek while Jade handled the negotiations. While you dashed around for a place to hide, you recognized a person in a trench coat.
They’d been following you for a few stops now, but hung outside the buildings, been a customer, etc. You frowned deeply, lost in thought. You jolted when Floyd poked you from behind.
“Boo!~ Gotcha, Shrimpy!” You turned to him, wide eyed and heart racing. He frowned, “thought ya would’ve heard me sneakin’ up on you. Are you good?” You turned, seeing the trench coat had disappeared when Floyd caught you. You swallowed, “yeah, I’m fine. Just seeing things.” You hoped you were, but you knew you weren’t.
💙Floyd started complaining about being hungry, and you were getting peckish too. So, you all went to a nearby café on the way back to NRC. You sat near the large glass window, and Jade paid for you meal. “It’s on Azul,” he said with a grin, pulling out a black card. Hehe, nice.
💙Still, you couldn’t really relax. Not after seeing that person over and over again. Come to think of it, you recognized a lot of people in the café from earlier on, throughout your day. You could feel your heartbeat in your throat. This wasn’t right.
You tipped your head up, scanning the cafe. Something was off. The two men near you got their pastries nearly half hour ago but never even touched their food, and the woman on the other side kept looking over at you. No, not you, you realized in horror, at Jade and Floyd. They hadn’t even noticed it, since the woman was glaring at their backs.
From the large window of the cafe, you saw them. Trench-coat-lerson slowly ambled to the window. They subtly tossed a small round object to the ground and walked off at a quicker pace. Your eyes widened and you couldn’t get up fast enough.
“Get down!” You shouted, reaching up as high as you could and shoving Jade and Floyd down. “Hey, wha-“ Floyd complained before the window shattered.
Your ears rang, and your consciousness dipped in and out. You felt a dull throb on your back as you slowly slipped unconscious.
💙Floyd rubbed his head, groaning, while Jade looked only a bit frazzled. Perhaps this was one of the Family’s enemies at work. They just didn’t expect you to be caught in the crossfire. When they realized you were injured - glass shards cutting into your skin, your shirt shredded from the impact, and you were knocked out cold - they shared a dark look. Someone will pay for this.
Now, how do they react?
💙Floyd would be shocked, but not surprised that you tried to protect them. You were always protecting your little guppy friends, but he never expected you to protect…him.
💙Floyd would feel white-hot anger when he realizes you got injured trying to save him. He’d want to immediately hunt down the perpetrator and *ahem* seek revenge, but when he realizes just how badly injured you are, he’d barely hold it in. Getting you to safety is the top priority. Open wounds are bad in the sea, so getting you patched up is more important than vengeance.
💙Jade would be slightly more surprised at your saving them. You always had a way of surprising him. He usually stayed aloof, but he couldn’t help feel touched. A shrimp like you protecting him. Ha. Jade’s first instinct is to check on you first, so he and Floyd get you to safety first. While you’re getting treated, they both stay in the room, and begin talking in low, dark voices.
💙Jade would immediately realize that it was a Leech family enemy that targeted them. His mind is reeling with plans of revenge, while Floyd’s just shaking with anxiety and anger. Jade is a thinker, and is generally unrattled and still on the outside, while Floyd can’t stop fidgeting and bouncing his leg and rubbing his nape in agitation.
So, once the two of them get you back to NRC safely, they begin plotting…
💙I think the twins have No Chill when it comes to anything. They’ll definitely be very overprotective of their dear Shrimpy, and you’ll be waking up to the Tweels escorting you to and from Ramshackle every morning.
💙At least one twin (or even Azul) would accompany you everywhere. At some point, Ramshackle becomes a second dorm to them while you’re recovering.
+bonus Azul hc’s 💜
💜Azul would be appalled you got hurt while out doing Mostro Lounge business. Not because it would be bad for the Lounge, but because it makes him feel responsible. If you’re close with one, or both, of the Tweels, you’ve probably become close to Azul as well. Close enough to care about your wellbeing, no matter how much he hides it.
💜Azul has many connections throughout Sage’s Island, so he helps the twins find the person, as well as their possible organization.
💜In the meantime, your slightly confused why you keep getting frighteningly good deals at the Mostro Lounge. Additionally, Azul has been offering you more protection. If only he could get you to sign a contract…
Back to the Tweels now!~
💙First, Jade made a few excuses that he wanted to go out hiking, and if he slept over at Ramshackle, he could head out earlier. You saw no reason to say no. Then, the next week, Floyd bounded up to your door, all smiles. “Let’s have a slumber party, Shrimpy~” You’d ended up on the living room floor, tv still playing a random movie, snoring with your limbs tangled with Floyd’s. Mind you, this all repeated for the next few weeks.
💙Jade uses the Lounge’s connections to pinpoint the perpetrator’s movements and even get their identity. Floyd even goes into town knocking on doors. Sometimes he’s amicable, sometimes…not so much.
💙They keep quiet about what they’re doing, though. They don’t want to scare off their resident magicless minnow, so they don’t mention it to you. Only that you’ll be safe.
You frowned at Floyd humming a merry tune. He had his arms behind his head, walking as if he didn’t have a care in the world. “You look happy. And you weren’t with Jade when he came to walk me to class.” Floyd merely grinned down at you, looking fond. “Had to take care’a something, Shrimpy. Why, you missed me?”
There was a glint in his eye you didn’t understand, but you shrugged. “Yeah, I mean I did miss you, but what were you doing so early?” Floyd’s eyes darkened, and his smile seemed a little sinister. It cleared up in a moment when he let out a giggle, “Don’t worry ‘bout it~”
💙The twins may *marginally* calm down after a while. But definitely expect them to be looking out for you behind the scenes. If Floyd sees anyone messing with you, he’ll stare at them (and isn’t afraid to get physical) until they stop, and Jade can and will make their lives miserable and play mind games with them.
💙They do trust Azul to look out for you whenever they can’t, and I do think they’d trust your first year friends. The twins think they’re guppies, but they’re just as loyal to you. And if anything happens to you again, just be assured that you have two eelmer bodyguards who can and will mess someone up to protect you~
The twins aren’t beating the mafia allegations 💀 thanks for your request anon!!! Until next time, xoxo Calci~
