Part 4: “Girl Problems”
Tumblr media
You shift in the office chair, stomach lurching uncomfortably. It’s been bothering you today - groaning and moaning nonstop. So far you blamed it on the suspicious chicken salad you got from the discount grocery store. You took every stomach soother you could, all the way down to chugging tea on the hottest day of spring so far.
With a rather pathetic groan you stand to meander your way to the bathroom. Surely sitting on the pot will help - at least as a placebo. Just as you do, though, a very distinct wet feeling makes itself known. You freeze, briefly, as if it will go away if you stand still enough.
“Ah, fuck!” You gasp, grabbing your purse and jogging down the hall to the single bath stall and popping the lock shut.
As soon as you sit, you let out a small sigh of relief. At least you caught it before you turned your underwear into a total crime scene. You’d rather not have to explain to John why you need to go home and change. You dig through your bag to your usual pocket of various supplies. From lotion to a sewing kit. It never hurts to be prepared.
Except, as you rifle around, you’re not finding your usual stash. There should be at least three in here… when did-?
The very loud, distinct memory of a girl at a bar stopping you while canvassing for some sanitary products hits you like a train.
“Whatever you’ve got I’ll take.” She practically begged. So, you handed them all over because got forbid someone get stranded during the most hellish week of the month. Like you are now.
You make a deep, frustrated noise in your throat and bury your face in your hands. You’ve been meaning to put a basket of backup wipes, pads, and tampons in the little bathroom cabinet - not just for you but for customers, too. It just kept getting pushed off when you got busy with other things.
Shit. What are you gonna do? If you put your pants back on you’ll just bleed through them in ten minutes. Cursed with a heavy flow (or blessed with a strong connection to the moon, as your former hippie roommate insisted.) Less time than that, probably, based on the vicious cramp that travels from your lower back to pelvis. You won’t be able to get to the corner store with out leaving a war crime in your path.
John’s the only person in the studio right now. He doesn’t have a client for another hour or so but you’d rather die than tell your hot boss you’re bleeding everywhere. For a few, quiet moments, you violently bounce your knee and go through every possibility. Maybe you’ll suddenly turn into the flash and you can get home before anyone even notices. You don’t really have much of a choice, do you?
With another groan you pull your phone from your pocket, thumb hovering over his contact for just a few beats too long while you work up the courage.
>> ok so this is terrible
>> im so sorry
>> but im having girl problems and am stuck in the bathroom
>> im so sorry this is so unprofessional
Girl problems? What are you? In fucking middle school? Before you can send yet another in a long string of planned apologies, John answers.
J >> How can I help?
>> i dont have any products on me
>> meant to stock the bathroom
>> sorry
J >> Stop apologizing
J >> What kind do you use? I’ll go to the corner store up the street
You breathe out a sigh of relief, still nervously gnawing at your lip as you send him what you need with an example picture (just in case) and profusely insist you’ll pay him back. John refuses. You’ll just have to sneak the cash in his tips or something.
It isn’t long before you hear the front doorbell ring, heavy footsteps, then a gentle tap on the bathroom door. “Y’alright, love?”
You perk up. “John, I’m so sorry-“
“Didn’t ask if you were sorry. Asked if you were alright.”
You snort. “Yeah…”
“I’m goin’ to unlock the door to slide these in. No lookin’ I swear.” John says. As if you were worried about that. You trust John. More than maybe any other man you’ve known (not that the bar is very high.) It’s nice of him to say, though. The door barely cracks open, just enough for him to toss the box to you across the floor and shut it immediately. You barely even see his arm. “That all you need?”
“Yeah. Thanks.” You murmur, bending awkwardly and snatching up the box. “I’m really sorry. I know it’s not really… appropriate.”
“Love, it’s normal. It happens. Just get y’self situated.” John taps the door once before you hear his footsteps drift down the hall toward the front.
You feel a bit skittish the rest of the day. You know it’s stupid. John’s a grown man and it’s a natural thing that happens and it’s fine. He said it’s fine. If it wasn’t fine you probably wouldn’t still look up to him the way that you do - the way that you have since you came here. The way everyone else seems to. Even so, you step around him a little wider than usual on your way out - keeping your head hung low and both hands tightly gripping your purse.
You chew your lip, shifting in place as he locks the front door. “Look, John, I-“
“If you apologize again I’m gonna fire you.” John mutters, pulling on the door to make sure it’s properly secured. There’s humor in it, though, the corners of his lips quirked up slightly.
You scoff, still not quite able to meet his eye.
“Sweetheart, look at me.” When you don’t move fast enough, apparently, he tilts your head up with a light touch. His eyes are so warm despite their icy blue shade. Sparkly in the setting sun. “Any man worth his breath wouldn’t give a shite. I’m sorry if that hasn’t been your experience, but really, it’s fine. I’ll help you out a thousand times over if y’need.”
“Okay…” You murmur, suddenly very distracted by the feeling of his fingers touching your chin, light as is it. You pull away and clear your throat, hoping he doesn’t notice the growing heat in your cheeks. “Well, uh, see you tomorrow, then.”
John nods, still smiling. “Sleep well, dove.”
When you come in the next day, you expect to get teased. A snide comment or a sideways look. You would have at any other job you’d worked - especially one with all men. All giggling and poking at you like a bear they know can’t bite back. No one says a thing outside of their usual greetings when you make your way to the front desk, though. Johnny pinches your hip like normal, Simon greets you with his new pun of the day, Kyle gives you a distracted wave over the hum of his practice gun. John doesn’t bat an eye when he says hello and checks in about the plan for the day.
You open the bottom drawer that you usually tuck your purse into, pausing before you set it inside. At the bottom, neatly tied together with a piece of twine, sits a king size chocolate bar and a pack of Midol.
If John notices the way you become extra smiley after that discovery, he doesn’t comment.
A/N: This was very self-indulgent but I’m having a bad time over here and need to be saved.

Percy thought that his head might explode.
He didn’t know how he was still walking, honestly. His mom died, he killed a— no, the— Minotaur, all the Greek myths were real and his dad was one of them, and now he had to deal with that freak accident with Clarisse and the toilets.
At least he would be ready next time she tried to beat him up. Percy had been the new kid enough to know there would be a next time.
All he could do was stare at the Minotaur horn in his hands, the only sign that what happened outside the border was real. The horn in his hands and the hole in his heart.
Percy swallowed the lump in his throat. He’d been thrown into the deep end, and the only thing on his mind was when he would start to drown.
“Hey.” Percy looked up to see the counselor he’d met earlier with Annabeth—Luke. He tossed a ziploc bag at him and he caught it, taking a moment to look at what was in it.
“I stole you some toiletries from the camp store,” he explained. “Thought it might make you feel more at home.”
“…Thanks.” He didn’t know if Luke was joking, but the damage had already been done. And it was the nicest thing someone had done for him so far. He set it down next to his Minotaur shoebox. “Is this the best that it gets?”
Luke’s lips quirked up in a slight smile. “For now. We’re a little crowded, if you couldn’t tell.”
“Just a little bit.” Percy stood up from his sleeping bag and worked out the knot in his shoulder. “Where’s your bed? Assuming you have one.”
“I couldn’t wrangle all these cats without some back support,” he said, and he pointed to a bed in the corner. It was the only one on its own without a bunk, and he had a fair amount of decorations. Counselor privileges, he figured. Percy walked over, Luke trailing behind him.
“Nice place,” he said. Percy picked up the Yankee’s cap on his bedside table and nodded as he looked back at him. “Nice taste.”
“It’s for Annabeth,” Luke said. “She wanted us to match.”
Percy nodded again in approval. “Good taste for both of you.”
Luke had various other things around — an alarm clock knocked over next to the baseball cap, a huskie sticker on the wall half-scraped off, a poster for an album he didn’t recognize.
But the thing that caught his eye was a polaroid hanging on the wall, surrounded by a smattering of others varying in size.
The first one had to be an old picture—Luke didn’t have his scar, and the biggest smile stretched across his face. He had a girl close with an arm slung around her waist, and she might’ve been smiling even more than Luke. A bright energy emanated around her, something that must have transferred through the picture, because Percy found himself feeling a little better just looking at her. He wondered if she was a camper.
His eyes flicked to the next picture, which was another one of Luke and that girl. They were both laughing as she tried to put a blue hat on Luke’s head, and he protested with a hand on her wrist. They were in the forefront of a baseball game, Percy noticed.
There were other pictures, too—Luke, a girl dressed all punk, and what looked like a young version of Annabeth, most notably—but a majority of them were either Luke and that girl, or the girl all on her own. In every single one, she beamed brighter than the sun.
Percy pointed at the picture of Luke and the girl at the baseball game, his curiosity getting the better of him. “Who’s that?”
That seemed to catch Luke off-guard, his lips parting for a moment as if he wanted to say something. It barely took him any time to get back on track, but Percy found himself frowning.
“That’s…” Luke cleared his throat, wet his lips, shook his head. “A friend. A very good friend.”
“Does she go here?” Percy asked.
“She did.”
He frowned. “Where is she, then?”
“Percy—” Luke’s voice was strained, but he didn’t really notice as he went on.
“I didn’t see her around,” he continued, “and you look pretty close.”
Luke blinked a couple times, and Percy swore he could see the telltale glimmer of tears starting in his eyes. A muscle worked in his jaw, and suddenly Percy was worried that he’d said something horribly wrong. He had a talent for that, it seemed.
Fortunately, he was saved by the bell—conch shell?—and something like relief flooded through Luke’s expression. Tension still coiled in his body.
“Come on,” he said, that camp counselor smile coming back as he put his hand on Percy’s shoulder and guided him away from the enclave. “That means dinner’s about to start.”
Percy’s frown deepened as curiosity won out again. “Was she your—”
“You don’t wanna be late,” Luke continued, ignoring his attempt. “I assume you’re pretty hungry after two days spent out?”
Well, that only made him want to push harder. But Percy figured he wouldn’t get anything out of him—especially not now.
“…Yeah,” Percy said. “Starving.”
An odd look flickered across his face, but again, it only lasted for a second before he was back to normal. He cupped his hands around his mouth and yelled, “Eleven! Fall in!”
Percy was at the back of the line by virtue of him being the new kid, and he found himself looking back at that picture of Luke and the girl. He didn’t know why, but something drew him to her. Before Percy could think about it more, the line was moving and his growling stomach drew his attention away.
He would have plenty of time to ask Luke about it later.
Or rather, ask him and piss off the only person who’d tried to be his friend so far.
…Gods.
Maybe he was going to drown sooner than he thought.
-
“Luke—”
“No!”
“Luke, please!”
“Annabeth will kill me if she knows—”
“She won’t know!”
“Alright, alright— stay still, you two!”
Your mother laughed from behind the camera as you and Luke fought with each other, you trying your damnedest to get your Red Sox cap on his head as he tried his damnedest to stop you. The frantic laughter on both sides made it a little difficult for either of you to succeed in your quest, but eventually, you got the rock up the hill and the hat on his head.
“Take the picture, Mom!” you exclaimed, pulling Luke even closer by his arms so he couldn’t get it off. “I need the proof!”
“I knew this was a bad idea,” Luke groaned, staring at the camera as you wrapped your arm around his side and leaned into him. He could already imagine your victorious smile, brighter than the sun beating down on them in the stadium, and just the thought of it made one of his own flit across his lips.
“Oh, shut up, Castellan,” you said. “You chose to come to this game. Everyone’s gonna know you’re a Red Sox fan now.”
“You said you wouldn’t tell her!” Luke defended, wrenching his arms free of your control to take the hat off his head. “I don’t even care about baseball!”
“You care so much about it,” you said cloyingly, “and you’re ride or die for the Boston Red Sox.”
“If you say a single word—”
“Okay, kids!” Your mother pointed at the seats next to her. “The game’s about to start—you can keep arguing, but only if you sit down so I can see.”
“Sorry, Mom.” You grinned at her as you pulled Luke over to your seats—they were a step up from nosebleeds, but they were the ones closest to the balcony so you could at least peer over the railing down to the diamond.
“It’s alright, sweetheart.” She glanced at Luke with a smile, and he could really see where you got it from. “We’ve gotta make him a fan somehow.”
“I guess I can live with the brand.” Luke set the cap back on your head once you were seated, purposefully pulling the brim a little over your eyes, and he smiled at you. “Even though it looks better on you, anyways.”
“You just don’t have what it takes to be a Red Sox fan in the heart of Yank territory,” you mused, pushing the hat back up so you could see. “It’s fine.”
Luke rolled his eyes, but he could hardly bite back his smile.
“I am glad you came, though,” you said, glancing back at him. “I’m glad you came with me in the first place. This is gonna be the best semester.”
“Thanks for having me,” Luke said. “It’s… it’s been a while since I’ve left camp.”
“Fingers crossed for no monster attacks, eh?” You held up your hand. “At least, not during the game. I could live with it happening any other time.”
“Don’t speak it into existence,” your mom said. “We’re going to have a monster-free school year.”
To humor her, you made a claw over your heart and pushed out. She hummed in satisfaction, and you looked over at Luke. “It’s gonna be fine.”
“Yeah,” he said. “Because two kids like us aren’t gonna draw any attention.”
“Oh, I know we will,” you said. “But I know it’ll be fine.”
Luke frowned. “How can you be so sure?”
You shrugged with a smile. “I’ve got you.”
And in that moment, he was thankful for the freakish heat that honestly made no sense in the spring—at least it covered up any sign of what your words did to him.
Luke thought you were joking when you asked him if he wanted to come back home with you for the school year. He didn’t know why you wanted to go back in the first place, being a Big Three kid that apparently had a death wish, but the thought of him leaving camp was almost inconceivable.
Even after you assured him you weren’t joking, he still wasn’t sure. He was on the run with you for three years, then…
Well, he couldn’t think about it for too long. But Luke had been on the outskirts of regular society for so long, doing nothing but fighting for his life, that he didn’t know if he could actually function at a normal school.
But it felt right for you two to get some normal time together after you were separated for so long. It took him a semester to decide, but one day during your usual Iris message conversations, he told you he’d love to spend the rest of the year in Boston with you. Luke still remembered the grin you wore, your disbelieving but victorious cheers, the apology you yelled back at your mother for your noise.
Luke watched you as you talked with your mom, discussing Boston’s chances and player statistics and baseball jargon he didn’t think he’d ever understand, and he knew he would sit through a thousand Red Sox games if it meant he would get to keep seeing your smile.
You must have felt his eyes on you, because you glanced over at him. “Are you okay?”
Luke smiled. Gods, he was so glad you were here.
“Never better.”
-
“That one nearly got me,” Luke said.
Percy huffed as he picked up his sword from the ground—he was pretty sure he would officially lose his mind if Luke disarmed him with that stupid move one more time. One benefit to the Hermes cabin being too scared to associate with him after getting claimed was that he wasn’t making a fool out of himself in front of other people.
“Maybe I can only beat you when I pour water on myself,” he said.
Luke chuckled as he took a bottle from the cooler on the side and held it up. “Wanna try?”
He shook his head. “I think my arms will fall off if I keep going with you.”
He tipped his shoulder. “Fair.”
Percy stared at the ground as Luke gathered himself, trying to put the free range thoughts roaming around his head in order. It didn’t help that he’d gained a million questions after Poseidon claimed him, and it didn’t help that there’s been a newest addition to his dream last night.
He still felt strange asking Luke about it, but he had to know more about her. Percy didn’t know why it felt like his mission to find out who this mysterious girl was, or why he felt that strange connection to her. Maybe it was the way Luke acted whenever he brought her up, maybe it was that she’d popped up in his dream next to him at the very end, maybe it was just plain old curiosity.
“I’m not supposed to be alive,” Percy said, breaking the silence. “I could die at any time in a bunch of different horrible ways. So will you tell me more about that girl on your wall?”
Again, Luke seemed to be caught off guard by it. Percy heard the crunch of plastic as his hand clenched ever so slightly around the bottle, and he tried to cover it up with an arched eyebrow. “Why do you want to know so badly?”
He shrugged. What was he supposed to say?
“I’m curious,” he decided.
Luke huffed a dry laugh before he took a sip of water, and he stared off into the distance for a while. He did a lot of staring whenever this girl was brought up. They looked like they were best friends in those pictures, but maybe whatever they had ended badly. And if she was a demigod too…
Well, it would make sense why he didn’t want to talk about her.
“You know that phrase about curiosity?” Luke asked.
“And how it killed the cat?”
He nodded, drinking some more. “It goes double for demigods.”
“Everything else wants to kill me,” Percy said. “So curiosity’s gonna have to get in line.”
Luke’s laugh was a little more genuine this time, and he shook his head. “I guess I can tell you a little about her. You actually probably have a right to know.”
“Is she a half-blood?” Percy asked immediately.
He nodded. “Yeah.”
“Who’s her parent?”
Luke capped his water bottle and looked at Percy for a good, long moment. His face glowed in the warm afternoon sun, his scar cast in a softer light than usual. The scar used to unnerve him, but he’d gotten used to it after weeks staring at it during sword fighting.
“She was a child of Poseidon, Percy,” he said. “Just like you.”
Percy felt short of breath, like Luke had just knocked his sword out of his hand and shoved him to the ground. But he stood on his own two legs that somehow still worked, and Luke hadn’t moved.
He had a sister?
“I have a sister?”
“…Had,” Luke corrected. “She… she died a few years back.”
A vice latched onto Percy’s heart. He was still having a hard time breathing. No wonder Luke always used past tense when he was talking about her.
He had a sister, he wasn’t alone, but he was because she was dead. And if Luke was one of her friends, that meant she died young.
Gods.
“What about their oath?” Percy asked, trying to ignore the aching in his chest. “I’m already on thin ice for my whole existing thing. How did Poseidon get away with two kids so close to each other?”
Luke shrugged. “I’ve never known why gods do things. Her mother was a great woman, though—I could see what drew Poseidon to her against the oath.”
One half of Percy wanted to ask every question that kept popping into his head. The other side of him wanted to break down and cry.
“How did you meet her?”
“We ran into each other when we were both young,” he said. “Both child runaways, both demigods, both New Englanders—we decided to rough it out on the road together. Couldn’t be any worse than doing it on our own.”
Percy tried to imagine it. A young Luke and a younger version of that girl—maybe Percy’s age—living together in the wilderness and fighting monsters. Surviving off of nothing but their wit and skill, facing death each day before they’d even reached middle school.
“It… it didn’t happen then, did it?” he asked hesitantly.
Luke shook his head. “Couple years later. All we did was watch each other’s backs out there.”
Percy couldn’t help himself. “What happened to her?”
“The same thing that happens to everyone,” Luke said flatly. “There’s a reason I’m the oldest one here.”
“That doesn’t make it better,” Percy insisted. “It— it makes it worse, Luke. You see that, right?”
Luke stared at his empty water bottle then tossed it back into the cooler. When his gaze met Percy’s, he was shocked by how… tired he looked. Beyond exhausted—bone-weary. Percy wanted to say more, but he didn’t get the chance.
“This isn’t good conversation,” Luke said, “and it’s getting late. You should hit the showers before dinner.”
The sun still beat down on them, bright and angry in the sky, but Percy provided no argument. He had a lot to think about.
Before they went their separate ways, Percy stopped and looked back at him. “I’m sorry she’s gone, Luke.”
Luke’s gaze went unfocused for a moment, his eyes growing glossy. “So am I.”
-
Percy sat on the floor of the Hermes cabin in the corner that used to be his, staring at his meager belongings. He had to decide what to take on his quest, which was made easier by the fact that he hardly had anything to his name. Things could always be worse, though. At least he would have a change of clothes.
He should’ve been doing this in his own cabin, but it felt too empty, too suffocating in its silence. Eleven was still more familiar. He heard the door open and saw Luke walk in, and his eyes lit up when he saw Percy.
“Hey,” he said. “I wanted to see you before you left. How’re you feeling pre-quest?”
“Like the world’s about to end,” he said.
Luke’s lips twitched into a smile as he sat on the bed across from Percy. “Understandable. It kinda is.”
“It’s just overwhelming.” Percy shoved the unfolded clothes into his backpack. “I have to clear mine and my dad’s names and get Zeus’s bolt back, or else war will start. No pressure at all.”
“You were chosen for a reason,” Luke said. “You may not see it, Percy, but you’ve improved a lot since you got here. If anyone can do this, I think it’s you.”
Percy looked up at him, and he was reminded of the way their last conversation went. He was asking before he could really stop himself.
“I could die on this quest and never see you again,” Percy said. “So could you tell me more about my sister before I go?”
Luke smiled wistfully and sighed. “You really won’t let this go, will you?”
“It’s not really something you just let go,” he said. “Besides, I… I saw her in my dream last night.”
Luke’s smile faded. “You did?”
Percy nodded. “For a split second, but I know it was her. I felt the same way I did whenever I looked at her pictures. And… it’s the second time she’s shown up.”
He let out a long sigh and shook his head, his gaze trailing off to the wall. He always looked so much older when he talked about this girl, like he was a war veteran reminiscing on his lost love. And from what he’d gathered, it might not have been too far off.
“I told you we ran together when we were young,” he said, and Percy nodded. “We were both nine, and it should’ve been terrible, but she had a way of making everything better. Always found the bright side of things, was always able to make me laugh.”
“She was from Massachusetts—right in the middle of Boston.” Luke chuckled as he looked at Percy. “Huge Red Sox fan.”
Percy grimaced. “We all make mistakes.”
Luke smiled, though it faded a bit. “We got separated for a while, but we found each other again when I got to camp. Things were more peaceful than they are now, so she’d been claimed at camp pretty quickly. I figure Poseidon wanted her to have the protection of him openly standing behind her after what happened.”
He frowned. “What do you mean, ‘what happened’?”
Luke shook his head. “That would be an awful story to send you off on.”
Percy wanted to protest, but he didn’t. Luke was probably right—Percy didn’t want to make him relive it and then have to go on a death quest right after.
“A happier part, then,” he suggested.
“She ran away from home as a kid to protect her mom, but now that she had an idea of what she was doing, she started going back to school. She invited me to stay with her during the school year one year, and I accepted. That—” Luke’s throat bobbed, and the other hand clenched into a fist— “that was when she died.”
In his stunned silence, Luke got up and went over to his alcove. He pulled the drawer open on his bedside table and pulled out a neatly folded piece of paper. It must’ve been folded and crumpled a million other times in messier ways by all the creases he could see, but when Luke opened it, he could see handwriting all over the front.
A letter.
“We Iris messaged each other constantly while she was at school,” he said, “and we wrote back and forth when we couldn’t. This was the last letter she sent me.”
Percy’s first instinct was to say he wouldn’t be able to read it, but he realized that he didn’t really care. These were words that his sister wrote—he would sit here the rest of the day forcing sentences to make sense if that was what it took.
So he took the letter when Luke offered it.
To the one and only Luke Castellan,
My mom said yes! After a very long interrogation (she now knows basically everything about you) and a million promises that you would be as careful as possible and that you were good enough at sword fighting to take down anything that could come after us, she said you can spend the year here. We spent a couple hours every day making my mom’s study into a guest room, so you have a place to stay.
I’m an idiot that didn’t bring enough drachmas so that’s why I have to send this letter—hopefully it gets to you soon enough, because we’re gonna come get you a week before my winter break is over. Mom is letting me drive down because she says I have to get my permit soon. It makes sense that my first big test is getting to you. If we don’t make it, it’s because we died in a fiery crash.
Just kidding. I’m a great driver. But tell me some of your favorite songs when you reply and I’ll burn a CD for the ride—I figured out how to use LimeWire. Oh, and throw in a couple drachmas with the envelope so I can Iris message you next time. I miss your face and your voice, and my hand is cramping up writing all of this.
But this is so exciting! I can’t wait to introduce you to all my friends at school, and show you my favorite places in the city, and make you into a Red Sox fan. And you can come to my soccer games— I’m the greatest forward there is.
Jokes aside, I’m going to make sure you have the best time. We’ll spend every second together, Luke. We’re gonna make up for the time we lost.
I can’t wait to see you again.
Your hurricane.
It took Percy a long time to get through it with the words swimming all over, and it didn’t help that his vision had grown blurry.
Tears, he realized as he blinked, and he did it again to make sure they wouldn’t fall. He couldn’t cry in front of Luke, not over a girl he didn’t even know—even if she was his sister. But maybe he was grieving that—the fact that he would never get to know her.
“God, man. I— I’m sorry.” Percy couldn’t think of anything else to say. “She sounds like she was great.”
Luke couldn’t even manage a smile this time as he stared at the wall. Percy was surprised he could even talk to him about it.
“She was,” he murmured. “You would’ve liked her. And gods,” this time, a bit of a smile broke through despite it all, “she would have loved a little brother.”
“I’m gonna make her proud on this quest,” Percy vowed. “I’m gonna clear our dad’s name for her.”
Something in Luke’s gaze had changed—sadness, almost regret. “You’re a good kid, Percy. I hope your quest doesn’t change that.”
I hope I come back alive, he wanted to say. But given the topic matter, he didn’t. Percy carefully folded the letter back up and handed it to Luke.
“Thank you for telling me about her, man,” Percy said. “I… I know it can’t be easy.”
Luke let out a shuddering breath as he stared at the closed letter—Percy wondered how many times he must have sat in this same position, reading her words. “No better way to honor her memory than helping her brother.” He glanced at Percy. “I see a lot of her in you.”
He’d been wondering if he had anything in common with her. Percy felt a sudden flare of anger shoot through him—it wasn’t fair that she was dead. Poseidon was a god, and she was a teenager. He should have saved her.
Percy’s mouth was drier than a desert. A part of him wanted to curl up in a ball and sob over the sister he never got the chance to know, but the other part of him knew—from what little Luke had told him about her—that she wouldn’t want him to.
“I should get going,” Percy said, standing up from the floor. “We have to leave for the quest soon, and Annabeth and Grover are probably wondering where I am, and…”
Percy trailed off, and Luke nodded in understanding. He turned around and took one of the photos off the wall—one of you alone in the middle of a park, wearing a bucket hat and absolutely beaming.
“You deserve to have a part of her with you,” he said. “For good luck.”
He felt himself choking up, and he pushed it down as he accepted the photo. “Thanks, man. It means a lot.”
“Good luck, Percy,” Luke said. “You’ve got a lot of people rooting for you.”
Percy found himself studying the picture of you once he made it outside, trying to memorize your face. With your wide, infectious smile that emanated pure sunlight, he could have mistaken you for an Apollo kid. But when he looked at you, he got that same warmth that he felt every time he imagined his father.
“I won’t let you down,” he murmured. “I promise.”
-
After sleeping in his train seat for half the day, Percy vowed to never complain about his bed in Cabin Three again. He was gonna be going down to the Underworld with permanent cricks in his neck.
Grover was still sound asleep—Percy envied him for how easily it came to him in the worst conditions—but thankfully, Annabeth wasn’t. Her gaze was focused on the view as their train chugged along.
Percy cleared his throat in a flawless attempt at getting her attention, and it worked.
“You’re awake,” she said.
“Unfortunately.” Percy sighed. “How much longer do you think it’ll be?”
“Another day, at least,” she said. “And we’ve got a layover in St. Louis.”
“St. Louis,” he hummed. “Nice.”
They sat in silence for a while—there wasn’t much to talk about when they were coming off of two— or was it three, now?—near-death experiences. But eventually, Annabeth cleared her throat, taking a page from his book, and it worked again.
“There— there’s probably something you should know,” Annabeth said, and that worked even better than clearing her throat. “You’re not the only Big Three kid to come through Camp Half-blood lately.”
“I know,” he said. “Grover and Luke explained it.”
Her eyes widened slightly and she leaned forward in her seat. “Luke did?”
“…Yeah. You all already told me about Thalia.” Percy glanced away, suddenly feeling a chill in the train car. “Luke told me about my sister.”
Annabeth went silent.
“It’s okay,” he said. “I kind of annoyed Luke until he told me. Doesn’t really seem like a subject people at camp like to talk about.”
“I’m just surprised he did,” she murmured. “They were… they were close, Percy. Her death destroyed him—Thalia and your sister. All of it’s complicated.”
“Yeah,” he sighed, “I got some of that.”
“I only knew her for a year at camp, but everyone loved her,” she said. “She was nice. Popular. Always helped when she could, always had the biggest, most infectious smile on her face.” Annabeth looked down at her hands. “She didn’t deserve the fate she got.”
Percy didn’t think he’d ever grieved so much for someone he never knew. “But her and Luke—were they…?”
“Yeah,” Annabeth said, “they were a thing, later on.”
That seemed to be all she wanted to say on the matter. Percy decided not to push.
“How did you meet her?” he asked.
Annabeth’s lips pressed into a thin line. “I met her on the day I thought I would die.”
-
For the first time in her life, Annabeth Chase couldn’t think.
It had all happened so fast. One second she was running with Luke and Thalia and Grover, praying to her mother and any other gods that would listen to make the horde of monsters let up even a centimeter.
The next, she’d collapsed on the ground, never so grateful to have grass and dirt and dust in her face. But she could hear Luke yelling, barely able to make it out in her delirious state—she didn’t know when she’d last had a sip of water, and they’d been running for at least three miles—but he sounded hysterical.
She remembered her last clear thought: they weren’t going to make it.
But they had. They had, so why was Luke losing his mind?
Annabeth pulled herself up from the ground—how long had she been bleeding out of those slashes on her arm?—and looked for the rest of her friends. Luke wasn’t yelling anymore, instead arguing with someone she didn’t recognize in a bright orange shirt. Grover’s furry legs trembled as he stared down the hill they’d just gotten up, completely silent, and Thalia—
Where was Thalia?
Annabeth tried to get up but her legs gave out almost immediately, and steady arms caught her before she could fall to the ground again. Kind eyes served to ease some of her panic—she was older than Annabeth, maybe around Luke or Thalia’s age.
Thalia—
“Hey, you’re okay,” the voice said, and Annabeth’s attention was drawn back to you. “I’ve got you.”
“Where’s Thalia?” she blurted out, because now she couldn’t think of anything else.
Your brows creased and you glanced back down the hill—Annabeth did too, and she saw Grover and Luke arguing with each other. Or rather, Luke was yelling at him as Grover anxiously hooked his hands through his hair.
“I don’t know,” you said, “but right now, I need to make sure you’re okay. Are you hurt?”
Annabeth absentmindedly held up her arm, but she was only focused on her friends. Why wasn’t Thalia with them? Why was Luke so upset?
You cursed under your breath in Ancient Greek as you cradled her arm, and you looked back down the hill. Annabeth could see at least half a dozen other kids.
“We’ve got two half-bloods and a satyr, one injured!” you yelled back. “Get Molly and Brayden!”
“Three,” Annabeth found herself saying. “There’s three half-bloods—”
“Annabeth!”
Her head shot up at the sound of Luke calling her name as he bounded over, and her eyes widened at the blood steadily spidering across the fabric of his shirt.
“Luke, you’re hurt—”
“I’m fine,” he insisted. “It’s fine.”
“We have Apollo kids coming,” you said, looking up at him, still cradling Annabeth’s arm. “We’ll get y—”
Your sentence stuck in your throat, and Annabeth could see tears welling in your eyes as your brows furrowed. She thought Luke’s eyes might burst out of his skull as he stared at you, his lips parted but nothing coming out. Neither of you were able to form words.
When he finally did get something out, it was a single name. One Annabeth knew by heart, one that he’d mourned for years.
“Luke?” you whispered.
Before he had the chance to do anything, two teenagers got over the hill and called out your name, the same one Luke used. He always said you were dead, but you clearly weren’t dead, because you were here and you had her arm in your grasp and while your hands were cold, they weren’t cold enough to be dead—
“Molly’s gonna take care of you,” you said, looking back at Annabeth and cutting off her inner dialogue. “She’ll get you to the infirmary and heal you up, okay?”
“My friends—”
“They’re gonna be okay too,” you said. “I promise.”
Annabeth looked up at Luke, and he nodded. “We’ll be with you soon, Annabeth. We— we have to talk about some things.”
So she went with Molly down the hill, and Annabeth put pressure on her bleeding wound when she told her to—it had started to sting like hell now that her adrenaline was fading.
She looked back just in time to see you and Luke share the tightest hug ever.
The hug of two people who realized they weren’t seeing ghosts, Annabeth thought.
-
You bolted up in bed, eyes wide and your chest heaving as you rapidly sucked in air. Your fingers found purchase in your bedsheets, desperate for something familiar—it took a second for you to recognize your surroundings, that you weren’t in an endless void, but your childhood bedroom offered little comfort.
You ran a hand over your forehead, damp with sweat, as you tried to calm down. Your breathing slowed, but you couldn’t shake that awful feeling that hung over you in your sleep.
Your nightmares were getting worse, you knew that much. That raspy, demented voice used to be a rarity, and now it appeared every night. You could usually deal with your nightmares, but the sense of absolute dread that voice and the pit fostered in you was too much. You hadn’t managed to sleep through the night once since you came home for the school year.
You could deal with the monsters—to you, this was the worst part of your godly blood.
A knock rattled on the door out of nowhere, and you nearly jumped out of your skin. The only thing that calmed you down was the thought that monsters didn’t knock.
“Come in,” you croaked, your throat drier than a desert.
Thankfully, a monster hadn’t come to make your night even more miserable. Luke stood in the doorway, his eyebrows creased in concern, messy curls hanging just above his eyes. He wore the Red Sox t-shirt you’d bought for him at the game you dragged him to, and in your addled state, you didn’t even think to tease him about it.
“Are you okay?” He should’ve been as disoriented as you, but his alerted eyes told a different story.
You could only think of one thing. “How did you know?”
Luke’s lips parted for a moment, as if he hadn’t even considered it. “I could just feel it.”
You managed a smile despite every atom in your body screaming at you. “I think that means you can come in.”
He closed the door behind him, and you shifted over in your bed to make room for him. There wasn’t much in a twin, but you made it work. Luke’s weight pressed into the mattress, making you adjust your position, and it was more comforting than any amount of blankets.
“You’re so cold,” he murmured, laying the back of his hand against your arm. “How do you live like that?”
“Blame my dad,” you said. “I’ve got water in my blood.”
“I think that’s probably a bad thing,” Luke said, and you knocked your shoulder into his with a huff.
“You know what I mean.”
Luke let his hand fall back in his lap, and as you brought your knees up to your chest, you pulled the covers with them.
“So,” Luke said, glancing at you, “what’s got you awake at the witching hour?”
“The usual,” you mumbled.
“Nightmares that might be prophetic?” he asked.
You made a lazy gesture with your hand. “Bingo.”
“The worst sense of dread imaginable?”
“Bullseye.”
“I’m sorry,” he said.
You shrugged. “It’s nothing I can’t deal with.”
“You don’t always have to put on a front, y’know,” Luke said. You felt his eyes on you. “You don’t always have to be strong.”
“I’m naturally strong,” you said with mock austerity. “Comes with the god for a dad.”
Luke chuckled and shook his head. “You know what I mean.”
“Yeah,” you murmured.
You leaned into his side, fitting your head into the crook of his neck. Luke wrapped his arm around you, pulling you closer, and you let out a contented sigh.
That voice in your nightmares seemed so small when you had Luke.
“Can you stay?” you asked softly.
He didn’t hesitate. “Of course.”
“Just like old times,” you whispered.
“Just like old times,” he agreed.
Luke ran hot, and you’d never been more thankful for it as you fully settled into his side. Icy blood ran through your veins, and you let out a shaky sigh. You could hear his steady breathing, feel his heartbeat through his chest, and the anxiety from earlier began to steadily fade. You never felt safer than when you were with Luke.
There was something between you—you weren’t that stupid—but you hadn’t talked about it. With you and Luke, it was just… you and Luke. You didn’t have to put a label to it.
How could you put a label to your relationship, when you’d spent your first few years together fighting for each day, and then the next few thinking the other was dead?
Maybe someday, you would talk about it. But for now, this was more than enough.
“Don’t worry,” Luke murmured in your ear as your eyes began to droop. “I’m not gonna let anything happen to you.”
And by the gods, you believed him.

never truly gone
Tumblr media
words: 2k
alternative universe where rafe was the one to fake his death instead of ward
warnings: funeral, discussions of death and grief, established relationship, murder confession (canon murder), implications of smut (no actual sex)
you are barely tuned in to the words being spoken at the funeral, lost in the haze of grief. dressed in the same outfit you wore for your one year anniversary with rafe. it was his favorite. was. the word hits you like a ton of bricks.
it didn't feel real for the longest time, part of it still doesn't, the feeling in your gut that your boyfriend isn't truly gone, but as you pick your head up and look around, you realize you have to get over the stage of denial.
“are you okay?” your mom whispers, reaching over to squeeze your hand. you rip it immediately out of her grip. of course you're not okay. who could be after their first love, their high school sweetheart, blew up?
“now is the time that we invite anyone who would like to say a few words up to the mic.” the pastor says, looking out into the crowd, members of rafes family having already spoken.
ward turns around to look at you. he invited you to sit in the front row when you first arrived, but you didn't want that kind of attention, your every reaction being scrutinized, if you’re crying too much, or not reacting enough.
“would you like to speak y/n?”
you look at the crumpled, tear stained piece of paper with some words scribbled on it.
“i-i don't know if i can.” you admit. ward seemed so strong when he spoke, the same pillar of community he seems to be when speaking at town halls or midsummers.
“whatever you say, im sure rafe would appreciate it.”
you nod, take a deep breath, then stand. your mind seems to blur as you walk to the front, the pastor greeting you with a soft hug then leading you to the podium.
you clear your throat before looking down at the paper.
“i never imagined a life without you. you were the first man i ever loved and i can't… i can't see myself ever having that same love again. we changed each other so much. we went from kids to young adults planning out their life together. i love you so much, rafe. i always will no matter how much time passes.” you vow.
your next words turn robotic, talking about the family he left behind, his accomplishments, things that don't actually matter to you but you know should be said. you recount the five years you were together, knowing someone is no doubt scoffing at how little it is, but it was your whole world.
you manage to hold in your sobs until you sit back down. you spend the rest of the funeral with your head down, unable to look at the pictures hung around the church.
-- 2 months later --
you let out a groan as you turn over in bed, not wanting to wake up, wanting to spend another day rotting under the covers.
“it's almost noon.” your mom says, peaking in to the door.
“yeah.” you say, sniffling as you see the photo on your nightstand when you go to look at your alarm clock. you can't bring yourself to move it, even if it makes you cry every time you see rafes smiling face. “i know.”
“maybe we could go out to dinner. or order some pizza? you need to eat, baby.” you know your mom is just looking out for you, but the thought of food makes you feel sick, eating at this point when your stomach truly needs it.
“yeah, maybe.” you pick your phone up off the nightstand and unplug it. “im gonna take a shower and get dressed.”
“that's good.” your mom says. “i love you, y/n.”
“love you too mama.” you pause for a beat when she doesn't shut your door. “thank you.”
you mom nods before exiting. you open up your phone to the gallery that causes you as much pain as it has joy, flicking through your final photos with rafe before sighing and getting up to shower with him fresh in your mind, determined to not forget a single thing about him.
--
you're about to go to sleep, pass out and hopefully not dream of anything. you went out for dinner like you promised your mom, trying to keep a brave face for her. she didn't even mention anything when you came back from an extended trip to the bathroom with tear stains on your cheeks and red eyes.
you grab your phone, swallowing harshly to stop yourself from crying again as you click on your messages, rafes contact still pinned to the top.
you click on your messages. the last text was rafe saying he loved you. you never got to text him back, but you know he was aware of how much you loved him.
you scroll back for a bit, smiling at his jokes even with the tears in your eyes.
you lock your phone and place it on your chest, looking up at the glittering stars through your skylight. “i miss you so much, rafe. why'd you have to leave me?”
your phone vibrates. you almost ignore it, not caring who it could be from, you've practically ditched all your friends, hoping they won't hold it against you when you finally feel good enough to hang out again, if that time ever comes.
something in you makes you pause when you go to plug your phone in, makes you hesitate and open up the text.
baby, im so sorry. please meet me outside, im at your dock.
love, rafe
you frown at the text from the unknown number, considering ignoring the obvious prank as you fling off your covers, body now fueled with rafe, but when you look out the window, there is an unfamiliar boat tied to your dock.
you slip on your shoes, not really thinking of a plan as you head outside, rushing through the yard to find out whoever is playing tricks on you.
the moon barely lights your steps as you stomp down the wooden dock until you're close enough from the boat for them to hear you and far enough from your house to not wake up your mom.
“this isn't fucking funny!” you scream. “whoever is pranking me, you're fucked up!”
a figure steps out of the boat and onto your dock. it takes your eyes a second to adjust, to really take in what you're seeing, to know it's reality.
“n-no.” you take a staggering step back. “im-im seeing things.”
“it's really me, baby.” the word hits you like a bullet as you fall to your knees, not caring that they dig into the wood. “i can explain everything but-but can i touch you? ive missed you so goddamn much.”
“this isn't real. you're- you're dead. im dreaming.”
rafe moves closer, dropping to his knees as well and pulling you into a tight hug. it isn't until he touches you that you know that it's not a dream, hes real and warm against you.
“oh, god.” you begin to sob, clutching onto rafe, clambering closer to him, climbing onto his lap and hugging him so tightly it's like your bodies could become one.
“im so fucking sorry baby. i love you. i love you so much.”
“i love you.” you sob, pulling back to look rafe in the eye. “i-i love you and you can never leave me again.”
you'll demand answers later, but now you're just happy your initial gut instinct was right, your boyfriend is right here, alive and well.
“can i kiss you? you're probably pissed at me but-”
you don't wait for rafe to finishing, surging forward and smashing your lips against his, all the passion and feelings of the past two months without him, but also the past five years of love, put into your bodies as you kiss under the moonlight.
“baby-” rafe gasps after a minute. “i-i need to get back on the boat. just in case i’m seen. come with me.”
“okay.” you're not sure what it means, but you're not going to let rafe out of your sight.
rafe climbs onto the boat before helping you, hand carefully stroking over yours as he leads you into the cabin.
“did you tell anyone that i messaged you?” he asks, sitting down on the bed and pulling you to his side.
“no.” you shake your head. “my mom doesn't even know.”
“that's good.” rafe nods. “i faked my death.”
“i can tell.” you giggle, unable to keep away for much longer as you press your lips against his in a quick peck before curiosity has your tongue loosening. “how? why?”
“my dad planned it for me. the boat was rigged to explode and i went and suited up in scuba gear. the why…” rafe hesitates for a moment, and you can read every emotion on his face.
“just tell me.” you say. “you can't hurt me. you can't make me mad at you, not when i just got you back.”
“i killed sheriff peterkin.” rafe swallows harshly. “it was to protect my dad, but of course nobody would believe me.”
“i believe you.” you tell rafe, tucking your head into his neck. “that must have been so scary, but i know how you'd do anything to protect the people you love.”
“my dad didn't want me to tell you at all. i agreed to wait until after it happened, but it all moved so fast, and when i got to where i was supposed to hide out for a while, i realized i had no way of contacting you. i had to steal a phone and this boat and leave the safehouse.”
“what's the plan now then?” you ask.
“have you come back to the safehouse with me. it's in the caribbean, on a gorgeous island. i will provide everything you need, we won't have to hide there.”
“and what will i tell my family? tell everyone?”
“well, your mom loves me.” rafe smiles, knowing he's right. “i think we can trust her to keep the secret. as for everyone else… maybe you just need some time away from the outer banks after what happened. maybe some cousins in michigan or something?”
“whatever.” you shake your head. “i just need to be with you.”
-- one week later --
“when you said safe house…” you look around the mansion. “this is not what i was picturing.”
“the locals here think im a cousin of the cameron family. allows me to stay here without much suspicion. i do keep a low profile and stay out of touristy areas just in case, but we can do whatever you want here. the ocean is right outside our doorstep.”
“and money? do i need to get a job?” you've never worked before, having grown up wealthy, but you're willing to do anything to keep your life going with rafe, having told your mom who didn't believe you until rafe stepped into the room. she saw the spark in your eyes and recognized it as the same one in hers when she looked at your father, and her time was also cut short when he passed young.
she made you promise to call and to let her visit every couple months, just enough to not be suspicious.
“no.” rafe shakes his head. “my dad funnels me money. cash, so no one gets suspicious.”
“honestly, i could just stay forever in the house and in the backyard.” you laugh, wrapping your arms around rafes shoulders, pressing a kiss to his lips.
“my dad will figure something out eventually, i don't expect you to hide for the rest of your life.”
“okay.” you shrug. now that you're with rafe, you don't care. you're going to be happy no matter what after feeling the pain of losing him.
“there is one more room i want to show you…” rafe picks you up, your legs slotting around his waist like nothing ever happened.
you laugh as you kiss his neck, knowing exactly where he's taking you.

👀👉🏾👈🏾 Sukuna x Reader ex's to lovers?
wowowow i cant believe im doing like another celebrity au again but here goes nothing ahaha...
i love this trope, i ended up writing a WHOLE, lengthy ass, detailed plotline on it i hope u dont mind <3 (A WHOLE WHOPPING 6K WORDS YALL)
prepare for hella angst, OOC sukuna, insecure fem!reader, ghosting, messy break up, conflicting and complicated feelings + sexual tension and then intense smut @ the end (make up sex)
imagine sukuna being like, an amateur model-turned-actor, with you being his highschool sweetheart, who was there to support him since day one
a very happy, fulfilling relationship for the most part-- until he starts gaining huge amounts of popularity.
youve always known that he was meant and born to reach sky-high levels of success, and you were certain he was going to make it one day
but things get rockier by the second, and insecurity is such an ugly, ugly thing
seeing him model with other beautiful celebrities, acting in roles where he had a love interest to kiss and fondle, reading those gossip scandal articles involving him and another party every few months or so-
it all got too much for you.
all you needed was some reassurance... but young and vivacious sukuna, drunk on this fame and attention, failed to recognise that and left you feeling neglected.
not on purpose tho, he's never engaged in infidelity, he's never gazed upon someone else with lust or love on his mind - he was using everyone around him as a stepping stone towards his own career
sukuna's known you since forever, and he was confident that you knew his affection for you was unwavering... so he failed to understand where you were coming from whenever you brought these things up
arguments after arguments after arguments
the worst part of it was that he wanted to keep his relationship with you a secret. saying something about how having a significant other would slow his progress in his career down... the decision was urged on by the entertainment company that he was in a contract with
it hurt so damn much when he was being interviewed on tv about his romantic life, only for him to tell the world he was single.
it leads to more arguing.
of course, as a rising celebrity, he was quite awfully busy with many business trips and attending a lot of parties and galas
another terrible fight occurred right before he had to leave for a flight overseas but by then, youd pretty much already decided that you were going to leave him
you basically ghosted him, packing all your belongings overnight, blocking his number and all his social media accounts, making sure even all yours and his mutual friends didn't know of your whereabouts. you're going to start fresh. and give him no closure.
it was petty revenge, and maybe immature of you, but you were just as young as he was, and you wanted him to hurt as badly as you were hurting back then.
sukuna's still overseas, having just come back from another fancy gathering and is fresh out of the shower, in his hotel room... he decides he's gonna try and give you a call, but ofc you don't pick up
he sighs and convinces himself that he'll sort things out with you later when he gets back, not knowing that there won't be a 'later'.
meanwhile you're dragging a suitcase out of the apartment, taking a taxi somewhere else far away, crying as you pass by giant billboards that have pictures of sukuna plastered all over
he feels like such a faraway person now. no longer someone who you used to cuddle closely in bed, or hold hands with. you're not even sure of who you are without him anymore.
you could imagine his reaction when he came home, only to find your entire existence missing. seriously, it was like you were never there. you left nothing of yours behind, and the place was cleaned spick and span, not a hair of yours to be found.
when was the last time sukuna felt so panicked?? this dull ache in his chest, as he spams you calls and texts that never reach you
he contacts mutual friends in rotation but everyone is absolutely clueless... he considers filing a missing persons case but then a trusted friend of yours tells him to not look for you... and that you wanted them to relay a message to him, just a simple goodbye.
what the fuck are you talking about?
oh, here comes a severe headache.
his mind is whirring with overlapping memories, thoughts, regrets, thinking about any clues that might give away where you couldve gone, but theres simply nothing
the shock moves into sorrow, then denial, and then it turns to anger. does he mean nothing to you? so much so that youd abandon him without saying a word?
its like he was going through the five stages of grief, but for someone who he knew was still alive..
eventually, he finds a rebound out of spite. if youve left him, then it's means he's free and single, right? he gets himself piss-drunk, and beds another, only to wake up feeling absolutely disgusted. it feels like... it feels like he's cheated on you. even though you're already gone. he's just a mess of conflicting emotions, and it lasts for so long.
the reason why he doesnt hire someone or use some other underhanded method to actually look for you is because of a weird mixture of both his pride and feelings of insecurity, thinking that maybe, just maybe, you do deserve someone better, someone who understands you more... (and he's also fearful that someone like you, might've already found love somewhere else, and he's definitely not confident that he'll be able to act maturely if he sees its true)
eventually, acceptance does come... but does it really?
i like to think he went through many failed relationships, his partners always leaving him upon witnessing him getting intoxicated and calling for none other than your name in his state. someone who no one around him knows anymore.
years pass, and time really does allow you to forget. for both you and sukuna alike. in your mid thirties, both of you are single at this time.
you've been busy with your new job at some company (dont ask me, i was too lazy to decide what kind, so u guys can make this one up bye), and he made sure to keep himself busy as well. no time for fleeting romance.
of course, until fate does that weird thing where it pushes people together again... a new project lands in your lap, where it involves some kind of collaboration with THE celebrity, ryomen sukuna. of fucking course.
you really did desperately try to get it off and pass this off to some other colleague but they insisted your involvement was necessary. what are you supposed to do? you almost decide to quit... but this job means a lot to you... you can't just throw everything away because of an ex... right?
and, oh my god, when the first meeting does happen, involving the celebrity himself, you and a couple other coworkers to discuss the project, sukuna sees you and his brain short circuits for a moment.
he starts doubting his own vision, and then he reminisces, in the middle of whatever the fuck everyone else was talking about during the meeting.
"... Mr. Ryomen?" one of the other participants ask.
he clears his throat, regains his composure and regathers his focus. he's an actor for god's sake. and he starts speaking, with thoughts of you in the back of his mind. about how much youve changed, but also remained exactly the same...
during introductions, you shake his hand and act professionally. his eye twitches. will you continue to pretend not to know him even afterwards? should he talk to you separately after this? no... doing that would mean he's the desperate one...
when you saw sukuna hesitating, part of you felt relieved. so you're not the only one getting freaked out. you don't expect him to acknowledge you anymore, though.
after the meeting, he walks out feeling confident that he's going to ignore you back, if this was the kind of game you're going to play with him. you mean nothing to him, just as he means nothing to you.
but he remembers the shock that went down his spine at the feeling of the warmth in your hand. he watches you take an elevator by yourself, and tries to make a split second decision on whether he wants to let you go, or if he wants to chase you down.
he probably shouldn't bother.
but he impulsively speed walks down towards you, anyway.
youre startled when the elevator doors are blocked from closing just at the last second, with someone's arm coming through between. your heart skips a beat seeing that it's none other than sukuna.
what is this sensation? this mix of fear and... excitement. you should be unperturbed. you're over him. he's someone from the past. you're buzzing with these feelings, but there also comes a creeping resentment that finds its way to you again, as you try to remember why you left him in the first place.
he unclicks whatever level you were heading to, and clicks on the highest level instead. he's gonna take you to the rooftop of the building, where he can confront you peacefully.
"Mr. Ryomen? Is there something wrong?" you ask him. still feigning ignorance. like salt to a wound. you know its another petty move from your part, but you can't help yourself.
"Don't call me that. You know damn well why I'm here," Sukuna drawls, sounding more sad than angry. they've really become strangers.
you grow silent, being hit with a pang of guilt. deep down, you knew you shouldve handled it more maturely than that. he deserved closure, and you needed it too. but isn't it too late for all that now?
the conversation flows tense, but unravels slowly. there's still a lot of questions being withheld though. he wants to ask you how youve been. were you able to sleep peacefully after you left him? why did you have to leave in the worst way possible?
a familiar headache creeps up.
simultaneously, the anger finds its way in his heart all over again. he knows he didn't do much good towards the end of their relationship either but ghosting him was plain disrespectful and childish.
you surprise him when you give a sudden heartfelt apology.
you tell him that you know apologising now after all these years is frankly almost meaningless but still, he didnt deserve to be left behind in that kind of way. you admit that you should've communicated with him properly that you were breaking up with him.
he's left kinda speechless, bc he was so ready to be all snarky to you after everything.. he's still mad, but he can't really say shit anymore without sounding like too much of an asshole.
truth be told, if you did stay around to tell him that you were breaking up with him beforehand, he probably wouldn't have let you go... where would you guys be now, if you never separated?
"i've always wanted to apologise. it's been weighing on me ever since i left."
...and yet, you didn't ever think to call or text him even once afterwards? he never changed his number in hopes for that, and he hates himself for it.
"i understand that you hate me now, but let's try to get through the collaboration without trouble. and then we can part ways again."
that one pierces his heart, like a bullet. you haven't said anything technically wrong. he should hate you. or at least, he should feel indifferent by now. and yet... the way that you automatically assume so irks him badly.
"do you really believe that i hate you? aren't you the one that hates me?"
it's a stupid fucking question. what the fuck is he even saying? he wants to kick the elevator door.
"...i left because i thought you hated me, that you didn't need me anymore. and i tried to convince myself that i hated you too. but that couldn't be further from the truth. even now, i don't ha-"
before you can say any more, the elevator doors open, and a small group of employees are standing outside them, looking curiously in at you and sukuna. then, they realise who he is. they come flocking in, asking for autographs and pictures.
you quietly slip out of the crowd, and after giving one quick glance at sukuna, who visibly wants to pursue you again, you walk away to avoid gathering attention on yourself. wait-! dammit- he thinks.
he can't chase after you. he can't call out for you to stop. he can't push all of these people away. if he did, it will cause rumours and unfavourable articles to fly out. let's try to get through the collaboration without trouble. his own fame becomes another obstacle between you and him.
back then, you were his whole world, yet somewhere along the path, he started to fail in making you feel like it.
he watches you take the fire exit towards the emergency stairs, while he's surrounded by overbearing fans who beg for his attention. you're going to have to walk down in your heels, all because of him. as he catches the final glimpse of you, as he's reluctantly dealing with his fans, he begins to understand, a little bit. he didn't want to understand why you decided to leave him. but he does now. a little.
a couple of stairwells down, you eventually pause for a moment and sit down on the last step to take a breather. you wipe your sweaty palms against your skirt. the familiar tug at your heart, in which your insecurities come flowing back to you, seeing him surrounded. you need to build higher, stronger walls around you from now.
when sukuna is done on his end, and sends them off down the elevator, he goes off to check down the stairs you went, but you've already booked it. slipped right through his fingers. you were about to say something important. with unresolved feelings, sukuna also takes the stairs down, with a heavy heart. each step down brings him another old, nostalgic memory of you to him.
from then on, the more he interacts with you during work-related matters, the more apparent it becomes that he still harbors feelings for you. he tries to ignore it, push it back down, but it only returns twice as overwhelming.
your voice. the way you smile. the scent of your perfume. exactly the same as back then. yet, he also observes the changes that have occurred in you; how you act, speak and the kinds of words you use, as well as seeing you in such a professional setting rather than personal - everything is coming together to allure him more, and he's in a state where he's unable to resist this attraction, but also unable to act on it, because he's not sure how you'd react to it.
he knows it's not just him getting drunk on nostalgia.
the next time he catches you alone, he makes sure to tell you that he doesn't hate you like you believe he does. you'd never admit it, but that gave you butterflies in your stomach.
in fact, everything sukuna does, even just locking eyes with you for a few seconds, is enough to make your heart rate increase, intensifying when he looks at you almost like... almost like he wants you. you must be imagining things.
he finds himself doing uncharacteristic deeds, like sending coffee for all the staff members. his manager passes them out to everybody, including you. he doesn't know if you still like your coffee the same way as he remembers, but he makes sure that yours is a little different, a little more specific than everyone else's, in hopes that you'll notice these small gestures of his.
over the course of the project, he inches closer to you, ever so slowly. but you don't seem to budge. even worse, you seem to be avoiding him as much as you possibly can. you avert your gaze from his. stagger away when he gets close.
he brings it up on one occasion, when he's able to approach you at the back of the building, where there's no one around, and no watchful eyes of a nosy audience. it's definitely frustrating and unpleasant- when he wants to speak with you, he has to keep distance in case another scandal rises. he doesn't want to drag you into the spotlight, without knowing if you're okay with it first.
sukuna only really talks to you when there's nobody around. maybe he's being considerate of you, but it gives you the impression that he doesn't want to be seen hanging around with you. it makes you remember things you don't want to. it makes you remember that being with him now requires a courage that you're not sure that you have. at the very least, you know you definitely didn't have it back then.
you keep conversations short with him, and try to leave. but he keeps at it persistently. what is he trying to do? is he toying with you?
"you're acting like you want us to get back together. don't do things that'll make me misunderstand," you tell him. you were trying to provoke him. expecting him to deny it harshly and back away, because you knew he was prideful- he'd never be caught being hung up over an ex.
"...and? what if i told you that i do want that? would you stop avoiding me then?" he takes one step forward, and you take one back, proving his point.
why is he pushing aside his ego for you? where did all his arrogance go off to? this isn't how the sukuna in his twenties would've responded. his answer makes you waver, and you don't appreciate that. you try not to show it.
"no. i'd only begin to avoid you even more. so don't start."
"i'm not," you deny, but your voice betrays you. he clings onto that.
"why? ...afraid that you'd cave in to me?"
like the way he's already pretty much caved in for you?
"you don't sound very convincing."
"...would you want someone who'd choose their career over you?"
that stops him in his tracks. he has nothing to say to that. because he did make that mistake. where he prioritised his job over your feelings.
"i don't hate or blame you for that anymore, sukuna. but you have to understand... i don't want to go through that pain ever again. i don't want to hold you back. we both deserve more compatible partners."
your own words sting yourself, and you try to go again right after saying that, because it's getting too much for you. his hand flies out to grab yours out of instinct, to stop you from leaving. leaving him again.
it's really not like him to be the clingy ex, pathetically begging to be taken back, but he's willing to throw such pride away if it means you'll be appeased. if you'll let him back into your life again.
"don't say that. you never held me back-- you were my home and my everything, and i was the one that started to take you for granted," he says gently, his low voice laced with sorrow, so uncharacteristically. you've only ever heard this kind of tone from him once before, and it was when his grandfather, who was like a parent to him, had passed away. his thumb brushes over your hand.
"give me another chance. this time i'll let the whole world know about us. about how much you mean to me."
he gets in close ever so slowly, and you let him, for only a moment, before gently pushing him away, with a hand on his chest.
sukuna hitches in a breath, heart sinking to his stomach. he wants to embrace you so, so, so bad. he needs your warmth. always has been. always will. but he sees that you're unrelenting, which breaks him.
"no, stop... i'm sorry, i can't."
you're still scared. you keep thinking about how lonely you felt when you were with him, at least right before the break up. seeing him laughing through the tv screen. alone in the living room. and all the arguments.
your hand slips out of his, and he lets you go. he feels empty when you walk away. hollow. the similar feeling he felt when you first left him, but less anguish and more despair. when he gets home, he tries to drink those feelings away. something he rarely does. old regrets and heartaches return, and he drinks until he passes out.
while he drinks, you weep. crying into your pillow, wondering if you're doing the right thing. wondering if this is how it's supposed to be. terrified of being with him again, but also terrified of losing him, like a hypocrite.
from then on, sukuna keeps a respectful distance from you... no longer trying to make approaches in secret, no longer pursuing you every chance he gets. but he still sends out coffee. even provides snacks to the crew. little do they know, they're the kinds of snacks that he knows you loved. hopefully, you still do. he'll keep his distance because it's what you want, but he wishes to keep doing these little things for you. subtly.
and you notice it, too. you have vivid memories of telling him about your favourites and preferences back then, and you recognise what he's trying to do. you drink the coffee. and you always grab a handful of the snacks. you do appreciate it. it makes you happy that he remembers. on a few occasions, you turn to look at him, only to witness him looking away at the last second.
it's not too long before the project is successfully finalised, and all their efforts have been rewarded. a celebration is due, and your boss throws a party at a fancy hotel for everyone to enjoy themselves at. sukuna had stopped going to so many gatherings and parties quite a while ago, but he attends knowing that you'll be there as well. he'll see you for the final time before he'll lose any excuses to be around you ever again. it'll be the final night.
you exchange a few words with him at the venue, but the two of you leave each other to mingle with other groups reluctantly, to avoid suspicion. both of you are quite tense all throughout the night, sipping on some wine to ease it, but it still doesn't relax the tension you feel, no matter how far away sukuna stands from you.
a few hours in, and you decide to excuse yourself early to head up into your designated hotel room. your boss covered the expenses for a night, and it would've been a waste to decline it, so you decided to stay. sukuna isn't around anywhere at the venue anymore, so you assume he's already left. you thought about saying farewell, but it didn't seem appropriate after you flat out rejected him. you still have doubts about the decision. because you miss him. but what's done is done, and you can't take back what you've already said.
however, getting to the hotel elevator, you notice he's standing there, with miraculous timing. you awkwardly "hey" him, and he says it back, hands in his pockets.
the two of you step inside when it arrives, and the thick tension remains.
"i'm surprised. i thought you'd be staying around longer for the party," you tell him.
he can't tell you that he found it unbearable, to see you hanging around other people, but being unable to get closer to you himself.
"i just got a bit tired," he lies. "did you have a lot to drink?"
"not at all. i had a few glasses, but i'm still sober."
"same here."
as the lift gets closer to your level, you get antsy, thinking about what to say before you leave, but your thoughts get interrupted when he asks you something abruptly.
"...can i walk you to your room? for the last time."
you swallow thickly on nothing, and feel how your chest aches at the words. last time.
"alright. sure," you say.
he wasn't expecting you to say yes, but he's glad you're letting him stay beside you a little longer. you're staring at the elevator doors, but he's looking at your face from the side. if only the lift would malfunction and stop, right here.
but it doesn't, and soon, he's really walking beside you as you get to your hotel room door, in silence. you unlock it using your key, and then that's it.
"thanks for walking me here," you say rather sheepishly. the thought of him wanting to spend even a few more seconds with you... your hold on the door knob is tight as you stand, face turned around to look at him. it's taking everything in you to stand your ground. last minute guilt and regrets are bombarding your thoughts, and...
"i'll say this now because i probably won't get another chance again," sukuna starts, looking directly into your eyes. his eyes are mellow, and he looks wistful.
"i'm sorry. i realised i never apologised, even though that's the first thing you did for me," he starts. he knows there's a mountain of reasons he is apologising for, but he decides he'll keep this short for your sake.
".. i can't lie to you and say that i wish for your happiness with someone else. 'm not that nice." you know it the best. and you understand, because you don't think you'd be able to withstand seeing him happy with someone else, either.
"find your happiness elsewhere, thanks," he grunts humorously. for god's sake. he's never been good at things like this. being heartfelt. at least it made you chuckle a bit. his expression of indignation melts away into a melancholic one again.
"i still love you." (always have, always will.)
you fight back sudden tears, and your throat begins to ache. sukuna unclenches his fist, and tries to relax himself more.
"and...i'll miss you," he breathes the phrase out. says it so quietly, like it hurts for him to say. (i don't want to let you go.)
something snaps within you and everything starts to scream at you to take everything back, and stop him from going away. don't go- don't go- don't go-
"...goodnight."
he notices your wet eyes, and he has to fight back against the urge to reach out and wipe it away. to rescind his farewell, and pull you into his arms again - forcefully, if he has to. he needs to leave, before he loses control.
you're panicking, and your vision is swimming, and you don't think you'll ever be happy again if you let him go like this-- you're gonna be heartbroken in the worst way imaginable. you want him back, and you know you're being unreasonable after turning him down like that, but you don't care anymore. you want to go against your fears. you want to try being with him again.
before you can stop yourself, your hand catches onto the hem of sukuna's sleeve, seconds before he takes another step away from you.
his eyes widen, and he looks at your grip on his sleeve, like he's checking to see if it's real, and he's not making this shit up in his mind. his heart beats impossibly fast. his hopes skyrocket. the world decided to have mercy on him.
"...you're being unfair, grabbing onto me like this. after i went through hell just now, trying to say goodbye." he's being awfully patient right now.
you don't respond, only silently weeping.
he waits to see if you'll let go, whether this was just an act out of a temporary fickle in your heart, but your grip remains tight, and you're now just looking up at him with tears rolling down, eyes glossy and desperate, pulling at his heart strings. you only let go when he comes back to you, not hesitant to brush his thumbs across your face now, wiping the wetness away.
"what do you want me to do? tell me, and i'll do it. leave? stay?" sukuna coos at you, like he's always done before, waiting patiently until you've calmed down enough to respond properly.
"i shouldn't... i shouldn't let you in. not after how much i'd pushed you away," you whisper. today was supposed to mark the end of it all.
he doesn't even give a fuck about that anymore. what matters is now.
"...but do you want to let me in?"
"...yes," you hic.
he takes a couple of steps forward, making you step back with him, his hand on your waist to make sure you don't trip on the way. he goes past the doorway and into your hotel room slowly. one- two- three- steps. he closes the door behind him quietly.
"and..? what next?" he asks in a low voice, standing close to you, one hand still remaining on your waist, and the other on your upperarm.
"i... i don't know. i just need you," you mumble, looking up at him, eyes red from crying and half-closed. your hands inch up along his back, grabbing handfuls of his suit jacket. sukuna hitches in a breath and something dark flashes across his eyes. they reflect his desire, his almost carnal desperation for you-
"forgive me. i don't think i can hold myself back, anymore."
he captures your lips in his, and groans shamelessly into you. you grip onto him tighter, heart beating so rambunctiously that you fear he can hear it too. it feels too good. the moment he reached you, it felt like the final piece of a puzzle clicking in to complete a full picture.
you part your mouth, and he wastes no time in slipping his tongue inside, kissing you in the way he knows you love, in the way it makes your lips tingle, and, oh god, even after all these years, he still knows how to get you going like no other.
sukuna tastes the traces of wine on your tongue, and even better, he tastes you, the one he'd been missing and craving all this time, the warmth of your skin and touch, your scent, just everything about you, you, you.
he backs you towards the bed, without breaking this breathless, hungry kiss, where he softly lays you down, with him being above you, chest to chest, arms supporting his weight. he momentarily pulls away from you simply just to breathe, and the two of you gaze at each other for a hot second, full of love and lust, breaths overlapping one another. he attempts to ask you "do you still wanna continue?" just in case, but before he gets to say a word, you grab him by his tie and pull his lips to yours again, beginning to loosen it and take it off.
he understands that you want it, now. you successfully manage to untie it, somehow, with just willpower alone, and you start aiming for his buttons next, undoing them one by one. your actions send sparks down to all of his limbs, and he feels so fulfilled by your desire of him, being as intense as how he obsesses over you.
soon after you're done with it, he takes them off and chucks his own clothes away, rendering him half-naked. your hole clenches around nothing at the sight once he pulls away again, his firm muscles and the same old tattoos that you vividly remembered the patterns of. you greedily run your palms across his pecs, eyes turning to hearts. he smirks at you.
it's his turn now, and he doesn't hesitate to start undressing you as well. sukuna gets dizzy at the thought of being able to feast his eyes on your body. he dives in to keep kissing you, and then begins to unbutton you with such speed, it almost startles you.
it's off. your breasts are out in the open now, and sukuna has his fill with massaging them with his large hand, having missed them so much. his palm feels so hot, and your nipples pebble up at his touch, making you gasp into his mouth.
his kiss moves over to the side of your face, it glides down your neck, shoulders, and eventually reaches the swell of your chest. your fingers brush through the pink of his hair as he does so, and you purse your lips together, basking in the feeling of his warm kisses littering your skin. he leaves you hickeys-- the same shape and size and same locations as he used to even during your days in highschool, and you chuckle to yourself at the thought.
it's not long before he's loosening your skirt and slipping your undergarments down, getting rid of your slick-stained panties, much to his satisfaction. sukuna rubs a thumb over your aroused clit, and you whimper, having missed the touch of a man- his touch specifically.
"fuck... you're so wet.... all for me?" he asks, proceeding to slip two fingers into your weeping hole. you arch your back at the feeling, how his thick digits scissor inside of you and press up against a particularly lovely spot. he watches your every response as he does so, watching how you moan because of his touch, and how you're grabbing at his wrist because it's getting too intense. his cock prods uncomfortably against his pants. you're producing so much slick, and his fingers are getting absolutely drenched.
when he takes them out, you whine a little in disappointment.
"i know, i know. i'll give you something better," he whispers, kissing your cheek.
he unbuckles himself, and lowers his boxers to reveal his aching dick, tip wet with precum, veins bulging out the sides. looks the same as you remember. he pumps it a couple of times with his hand that's still covered with your slick, and he twitches. this isn't a dream, is it?
"oh god, please, i need it-" you plead, your hole feeling eager and empty.
"it's all yours," he mumbles. your begging makes him lightheaded as he lines himself up at your weeping cunt.
"i'm all yours."
when he sinks in deep to the hilt, you cry out at the fullness, as his tip pushes the spot inside you that had been feeling so lonely for years. your hands finds themselves against his back, feeling for his tight muscles.
"shit- 'm gonna lose my mind," sukuna groans as he gives a few shallow thrusts into you, cock so hard and throbbing wildly as your plush walls clamp on him and coats him with your arousal. he grabs one of your hands from his back and interlocks his fingers with yours against the mattress, before leaning down to bring his lips against the side of your neck.
"oh, thank god... thank god, you changed your mind. i love you. i would've been so fucking miserable without you, doll. for the rest of my life," he croons, breath fanning so close to your ear. you shudder at the tone of his voice, tearing up again, mixed with pleasure and relief, and you grab his hand tighter.
you turn your head a little more to the side, making it easier for sukuna to bite and suck on the sensitive skin of your neck, as his thrusts increase in speed, nudging your g-spot with every movement.
soon enough, he's bringing his attention back to your tongue, which he caresses with his own, nibbling on your lower lip, maintaining this same perfect pace in his thrusts that brings you closer to your orgasm.
"sukuna- i'm- i'm gonna-" you say breathlessly.
but he merely kisses you again, swallowing up any words you could say or moans you could let out, not minding the gasps and whimpers that you make.
sweat beads on his perfect body, and he makes out with you through your high, groaning back when he feels your walls flutter around him. he's close. even once you've finished cumming, he begins to pound into you quicker, wanting to get to his own orgasm. you claw at his back, crying out in pleasure, as sukuna's tongue lathers your jawline.
he wants to breed you so fucking bad. but no, that'll have to wait. he can't do something to jeopardize your trust in him. he'd rather die than endure another second of being distanced from you again.
right before he's pushed off the edge, sukuna pulls out and desperately jerks himself off above your stomach, panting as his cock throbs in his hand with every spurt that coats you, feeling so hot against your tummy.
you feel a twinge of disappointment, because you also wanted to feel that in your womb...
his dick twitches weakly after being spent, and he breathes heavily, liking the sight of you being covered in his seed for another time. (and many more from now.)
" 'kuna... it's a safe day for me today," you suggest to him without thinking. "i want it inside me..."
the phrase is enough to get heat pooling in his abdomen, and he feels himself get hard all over again.
"you sure, doll? if it's what you want, i'll..." he begins to say, almost flustered by your suggestion. you know you shouldn't say this next line, but it's so easy to get carried away with this man... get caught up in the heat of the moment.
"i want your babies so bad."
you've hit his switch. sukuna growls and puts you into a mating press instantaneously, making you squeak.
"no takebacks," he mutters dangerously, beginning the second round.
the night is long, but heavenly, as soon after he dumps everything he has into your womb, then proceeds to eat you out, making you cry for the third time before sunrise.
when you're awake, it's already heading past midday, and you're relieved to see that yesterday's happenings were not a dream, seeing as the large man is sleeping with an iron hold around your body, as if subconsciously afraid you'd leave him before he woke up again.
he awakens from his slumber to your light, feathery touches on his face, which puts him in a good mood from the moment he opens an eye. it was the scenario he's always dreamed of. waking up next to you, smiling.
there's much to talk about. about what's to come next, future plans, worries, and things they need to do to make amends for all the lost years between each other. but you decide to take things slow.
back to bullet points again bc im lazy to write it properly now
you spend the weekend w him at the hotel and stuff, just playing eating and sleeping, catching up yk
he tells you on his own accord that he wants to let everyone know that he's with you now, but he's worried that it'll bring backlash to you but you tell him you're going to be brave and take it, bc you WANT everyone to know
anyway prepare for turbulence
but everything'll be alright bc hes with you
im thinking about how mopey he'll be when you have to separate from him bc you each have your own homes rn, hes always asking you to come over or if he can come over to your place
and he'll be begging you to move in soon, like old times (he lives in a rich man house now tho)
and also thinking about how its a fresh start, but they also go through old memories and now reminiscing isnt painful anymore bc yall are back together
sukuna also says he's stopped doing romance genres in acting bc he had felt annoyed acting in lovey dovey scenes when his own love life used to be in shambles all the time
and bc hes at a point in his career where he has more choice in choosing between scripts that are offered to him, he's going to continue to decline the ones that have love interests, it doesnt affect him that much anyway
he's just being more considerate of your feelings now... and you promised him that you'll never just disappear like that again when you're upset haha...
sometimes when you still have a few disagreements with him, he keeps subtly checking up on you (hes traumatised, leave him be)
lots of facetiming when he has to go overseas for filming purposes <3
okay, thats all, bye <3

something thats been on the brain lately: yuji having a major crush on gojo’s wife. i just know he’s into milfs. gojo shows him pictures of his family on his phone but ‘accidentally’ swipes too far and shows him a nude of his wife and yuji definitely jerks off to it later that night.
omg anon this idea is soooo good and yummy im actually obsessed with it.. tried writing a little something for it!! im not sure how happy i am with it but i hope you enjoy it <3
for context, i was kinda imagining yuji after graduating, still working with gojo as a sorcerer. so they're technically "equals" but yuji still sees gojo as a teacher/authority figure !
tags: 18+/mdni. masturbation. oral (f rec.). ~600 words. not proofread (sorry for the probably mixed up tenses).
“oops, sorry, yuji! just pretend you didn't see that.”
the words play on repeat, circling around in his head as he tries desperately to pay attention to the mission brief. it's nearly impossible to do so, every blink supplying him with the image of you.
yuji always thought you were beautiful, but this was something entirely different. you were heavenly. gorgeous and irresistible as gojo swiped one picture too far, showing his former student photos from his vacation. going from the breathtaking view from the balcony of the house he was staying at, to a picture of you on the bed. thighs spread open and every inch of your skin on display.
it's a sight yuji will never forget. a debauched glimpse of a fantasy of his own.
what he would do to be able to get you underneath him, to have his hands on your curves, to be the one bringing you pleasure. would you be sweet to him like you are now? always so polite and kind when yuji gets the chance to speak to you. you would compliment him when he was still a student, his cheeks beginning to burn when you said he could surpass gojo one day. would you praise him like that again? tell him how good his mouth feels against your tits?
the scraping of chairs against the floor pulls him out of his head, realizing that everyone has been dismissed. he doesn't recall a single thing that was mentioned during the meeting, but he also doesn't care at the moment. the only thing on his mind is you.
yuji finds whatever excuse he can to leave, feigning a sickness to rush to his apartment. he waves off any concern, blaming his sudden fever on his lunch earlier. he doesn't look toward gojo as he exits.
the door closes behind yuji and he leans back against it, his eyes screwing shut as he finally allows himself to imagine.
the warmth of your skin as his lips trail down your body, the soft and pleased sighs you would make, the way your hands would squeeze at his shoulders as he makes his way lower and lower. your voice would be breathy as you beg him not to tease you, his mouth so close to where you need him, but not quite there.
yuji groans your name, his hand over his growing bulge, palming at it. he's already so worked up, though he supposes he's been like this since he saw the picture.
he could see how wet you were, your arousal catching the low light of the room and glistening. you were practically inviting yuji to fall between your plush thighs. he'd spend all day there if you let him — positive that he would never tire of eating you out. how could he, when you look so sweet and appetizing?
he'd pull away eventually, of course. his breathing heavy and mouth and chin covered with your juices, he would stop when you beg him to fuck you, when you whine that you can't take it anymore, that you need him.
yuji would take his time, lining up his cock at your entrance and pushing in slowly, watching your face as it screwed up in pleasure. every inch taking longer than the last until he was finally, finally, buried inside you.
he doesn't even get his dick out of his underwear before he's cumming, spilling inside his pants. but it's still not enough.
the rest of his day is spent imagining you in every way he can imagine, not stopping until he physically can't keep up anymore.

Day 3: pumpkin
Tumblr media
Summary: pumpkin carving with bf!Rafe
Warnings: just fluff
Tumblr media
“seriously baby? It's only the third of October, it doesn't make sense to get a pumpkin now until the 31st, it will have gone moldy."
Rafe complains as you look at pumpkins of all sizes and shapes.
"Even better! Then if the first one gets moldy we can make a second one!"
you rejoiced as you turned one of the pumpkins to examine it from every side.
"This one is perfect! I want this one rafe!"
Rafe let out a groan and rolled his eyes but then nodded.
"Whatever you want, baby."
He said and took the pumpkin in his hand to go pay for it. Meanwhile, you were already looking online for motifs that you could carve into your pumpkin.
When Rafe was finished with paying, you drove to his house together. Luckily, yesterday you had already bought a carving set so you could be properly prepared. Rafe thought it was too exaggerated, but actually he thought every holiday was too exaggerated, so you didn't care about his opinion anyway as long as he went along with your Plans.
When you and Rafe arrived at home, he got everything ready for you in the kitchen while you got 4 gloves.
"I've never carved a pumpkin before."
Rafe said as you placed two pairs of gloves in his hands.
"What?! never? like never before in your entire life?!"
you asked in shock. There wasn't a single year in your entire life where you didn't carve a pumpkin for Halloween.
"never."
He said and you shook your head.
"Yet another reason to detest your father..."
You mumbled as you put on the gloves.
“What kind of motive do we do?”
Rafe asked.
You take out your phone and open the picture you had picked out.
"this one."
You said as you showed him the picture. He just nodded and put a pen in your hand. While you started painting the motif on the pumpkin, he just stood behind you the whole time and stroked your hips. You grabbed the knife and started carving along the lines.
"Rafe, I have to concentrate..."
You just mumbled but he didn't react and pressed a few kisses to your neck. You reached into the pumpkin and pulled out the inside when Rafe suddenly stepped away from you.
"That smells so incredibly disgusting."
He said in disgust, holding his nose.
"You get used to it..."
You murmured before turning to him. "Besides, Im washing your old socks. They don't smell any better."
You simply said with a grin while he rolled his eyes.
"watch it."
He just said annoyed and watched you as he took off his gloves and threw them on the counter.
“How can you have so much fun with shit like that?”
he asked after a while. By now the entire insides of the pumpkin were out and the face was almost finished.
"Halloween is fun!"
you just said smiling. as he groaned.
"No it's not. The only positive thing about Halloween is that I can scare little shitty brats and steal their candy."
He said simply with a scoff.
"Wow...very mature of you Rafe."
You simply said, suppressing a laugh. "Finished!"
You said as your smile grew wider and you placed the lid on the pumpkin.
“Doesn’t it look great?”
You asked Rafe, turning the finished pumpkin towards him.
"not really."
He replied making you pout.
"You're a party pooper and I'm going to ignore your annoying comments from now on."
You simply said as you started to pick the seeds from inside you took out from the pumpkin before.
"What are you doing now?!" Rafe asked, sounding even more annoyed than before. "Pumpkin soup from the leftovers!"
You replied before he suddenly grabbed your hips and threw you over his shoulder. "Yeah no. Absolutely not! Pumpkin time is over, your attention is mine now!"
He said as he took you to his room and threw you on his bed.
"but the pumpkin-"
you started but he threw himself on top of you and buried his face in your shoulder. "Keep your mouth shut..."
He murmured as you sighed and ran your hands through his hair.
"Whatever you want, Rafe."

I Don’t Just Like You - Trevor Zegras x Hughes!Reader
Tumblr media
Hockey Masterlist
Warnings: swearing, tension/fighting, jealousy, Dixie lmao
Words: 2161
Summary: Tension builds with Trevor over his new partnership until the two of you confess your feelings.
A/n: Y'all I am so not doing well rn. I am processing a break up and questioning my social circle and im so lonely that I needed to write some angst to cope with it all. Hope yall like this one and maybe it'll get a smut part two depending on whether or not I can handle writing that rn lol. Enjoy!
Moose: call me ASAP
Me: sorry Luke. can’t rn
Moose: Awesome 😎
My hands quake with anxiety as I fiddle with the tarnished silver ring adorning my pointer finger. The moisture of my skin eases the movement of turning the ring around my finger. I hiss when the gemstone catches on the skin of my middle finger and immediately drop my hands.
Currently, I’m staring down at the risky text I just sent Trevor. About an hour ago he had messaged me:
Trev: hey sorry can’t swing tn after all
Trev: rain check?
My jaw tightens with contempt and I huff out a sigh as my bottom lip trembles. I feel pathetic for just how impacted I am by his every word. I angrily hit the digital keys of my phone’s keyboard as I type my reply.
Me: really?
Me: again??
Trev: don’t be like that
I’m not the most confrontational person. On any given day some might say I’m the furthest thing from confrontational. To put it rather plainly, I just don’t like it. I hate the way I get anxiety butterflies in my stomach. I hate absorbing the emotions of the other person, especially when rejection is involved. I hate what projections I’m opening myself up to receiving from the other person. There are too many pitfalls and not enough landing pads. Which is why it’s so out of character for me to press him on this.
Me: like what Trev?
This is the third time in a row Trevor has cancelled plans on me. I don’t know if he’s aware of that. I don’t even know what he’s been up to lately. He’s refused to tell me what he’s been doing instead, which didn’t raise my suspicions by any means until mom sent me an article. She knows about how my crush on Trevor has had roots in our childhoods.
Trev: you know what I’m talking about
After I stopped playing hockey with my brothers, I was still always around to notice Trevor’s presence in our home. When I moved to California for college, I wanted to chase my music dreams but I didn’t realize it would come at the expense of my support system. Being long distance with my family put me in a hard spot, but having a familiar face to rely on made the adjustment easier. As we spent more time together independent of my brothers, Trevor and I became close friends. The problem was my crush has been growing ever since we became friends, hence why mom sent me an article called, “Did Dixie D’Amelio admit to dating Trevor Zegras?”.
Me: at least say it with your chest
Sent. Delivered. I wait. Trevor’s response bubble appears for a second. It disappears, then reappears, then disappears again. I’m about ready to toss my phone across the room when his message delivers.
Trev: call me
I groan out in frustration and this time actually end up chucking my phone onto my bed. I run my hands through my hair, along the warm expanse of my scalp. A self-soothing gesture by all means. I pace to one side of my room before using the momentum of my steps to start back towards my phone. Just as I have it in my hand, Trevor’s contact picture covers the screen and illuminates in my grasp. I scoff out a sort of half groan and then answer.
“What, Trevor?”
“Hey, Y/n I’m great. Thanks for asking! How are you?” He responds sardonically to my cold greeting. I bite my tongue, torn between tearing into him and the stronger desire to laugh through my rage. He takes my exhale as a cue to continue. “What’s going on, Hughesy?”
In a single moment, my anger dissolves. The tenderness of that nickname, which was once reserved solely for my brothers, now belongs to me. In this moment, I find myself thinking about how grateful I am that Trevor was there for me as I transitioned into college. But the looming threat of a smile quickly vanishes as I remember how that care is nullified by Trevor’s abundantly active dating life.
“Y/nnnn?” Trevor hums into the phone.
“What?” I respond dryly.
“What’s wrong?”
“What’s wrong is you cancelling on me for the third time in a row.”
“Is it really the third time in a row?” He asks under his breath, indicating he may not have intended to say it out loud at all. I roll my eyes, still actively fighting the urge to just lay into him.
“Yes, Trevor, it is!” I can practically hear him wince through the phone at the fact that I’m calling him Trevor instead of the default nickname permanently programmed into my phone.
“Who’s that?” I hear softly over the phone. My heart flutters like a coal mine parakeet in a cage and I bite my lip, willing myself not to cry if it turns out Dixie is on the other side. Trevor whispers back,
“It’s Y/n.”
“Hey, Y/n!” Mason’s on the other end.
“Not a good time,” Trevor tells him. Mason curses and then apologizes before retreating from Trevor’s general area. “Sorry, you were saying?” Trevor tells me at regular volume.
“You were cancelling on me again.”
“Oh. Right. I…” he switches the phone to the other ear, “I…don’t know what you want me to say.” Hello?! Could he be any more oblivious?!
“I want you to tell me what is going on!” I whine into the phone, “What is it you’re so busy with doing that you can’t see me for a week, huh? I get that you’re a professional athlete and you have a busy schedule. But I know your schedule and I know you still have a decent amount of free time. So what have you been doing?” Trevor breathes, in, then out and says,
“I’ve been seeing someone lately…” I feel my heart shatter into the tiniest fractals of what it once was and I cover my mouth to choke back the growing lump in my throat.
“I can’t do this right now,” I say with the utmost hurt lacing my voice, pulling the phone away from my ear to abruptly hang up on Trevor. I toss my phone on my bed once more, ignoring how the screen lights up with Trevor’s contact picture. It’s a new breed of psychological torture to sit here and ignore the calls, so I leave my phone in my bedroom as I go to splash cold water on my face.
When I reenter my bedroom, I ignore the buzzing device to put on a comfortable pair of pajamas. He’s called once, twice, a fourth, and a fifth before finally giving up. Despite my phone being silent, I don’t trust it enough to take it with me and leave it to charge on my bed. I settle on the couch to open my new pint of Ben and Jerry’s, putting on my favorite show in the hopes of laughing through the pain.
Somewhere between first and second episode, I had dozed off after returning the ice cream to the freezer. I’m not sure what it is about crying that knocks me on my ass like that, all I know is that it works.
I’m abruptly pulled from my sleep when I hear the harsh banging on my front door. I jump up from the couch, the spike in adrenaline carrying me out of my sleepy haze. When I get to the front door, some of the tiredness catches up with me again and I groggily open the front door. Behind it stands Trevor, with sad puppy eyes and a sheepish expression. I can’t help the scowl that comes to rest on my face when I see him, but he doesn’t falter. Instead, he pushes past me to come into the apartment and sits on the couch expectantly. Since there’s no way to physically remove him from my space, I bargain, sitting down on the opposite end of the couch, as far from Trevor as I can manage. He doesn’t let the cold gesture phase him, and scooches obliviously into the center of the couch.
“What’s going on Hughsey?” I scoff at the nickname and Trevor cringes in frustration. “What is this?”
“I don’t know what you’re referring to.”
“Why are you icing me out all of a sudden?”
“Don’t you have somewhere to be?” I ask, spiteful, with malice.
“Clearly not since I’m here spending time with you.”
“Was that so hard for you to do? I mean, with your busy schedule and all?”
“What are you-” Trevor pauses for a split second. “Wait, are you… jealous? Y/n?”
I want to protest. I want to scream and rant and bite back, how he could be so conceited to think I’d be jealous of a relationship that I previously thought was rumored? But I can’t.
Because he’s right.
I bite my tongue. There’s nothing else I can do. Not unless I want to make an even bigger fool of myself than I already have.
“Oh my god, that’s totally it. You’re jealous.” Trevor says, complete with a laugh and a sigh. The shame of actually being jealous of a girl I’ve never met, the disappointment of finding out Trevor is dating someone, and the exhaustion from already having cried earlier comes collapsing down on me at once. Hot tears well on the lining of my lashes and I stare at the ground, afraid to draw attention to myself. Upon seeing me cry, Trevor’s smile immediately vanishes and he scoots closer once more.
“Hey, shhh, it’s okay.” He envelops me in a hug that I’m too overwhelmed to reciprocate. “I didn’t mean to upset you. I’m sorry.”
I merely shake my head, unaware of what I could even say in this moment.
“I was… I was just laughing ‘cause I should’ve known.”
“Should’ve known what?”
“That you’d be jealous.” I wriggle out of the hug and look at Trevor sincerely.
“How would you have known?”
“You know, for as long as I can remember, your brothers have talked about you having a crush on me.” I cower in humiliation, my face glowing hotter than the surface of the sun.
“I wish they wouldn’t have.”
“No?” Trevor asks, genuinely.
“It’s embarrassing,” I confess, fully recoiling from the physical contact he had initiated before.
“It’s cute.” Trevor earnestly admits as he takes my hand in his. I scoff instinctively but don’t pull my hand away again.
“I don’t need your pity, Trev.” I say so softly he nearly misses the sentiment. Once he processes my worlds, I feel him physically relax next to me at the sound of his familiar nickname.
“Well, what do you need? I’m here now.”
“I honestly don’t know.” I finally dare to meet his eyes. He’s looking at me so sweetly, earnestly. As if I hadn’t just chewed him out two minutes earlier. Then, I look away before I can say what I’m about to say next. “I don’t just like you.” Trevor’s face lifts ever so slightly. The extent of which, one might miss had they not known him a lifetime the way I have.
“You know… the only reason I started seeing her was to get over you.”
“What?” I ask, sharply whipping my head to stare at Trevor, as if awaiting the reveal that this was just some elaborate prank from the start.
“Yeah. I started dating Dixie because I thought dating someone different would distract me. You know, it’s not a good look to have a crush on your best friend’s little sister.”
My heartrate picks up with his confession. This feels too good to be true. As if real life is waiting for us right outside the front door. The real life that doesn’t see me and Trevor together ever in our lifetimes. Terrified of the change that would occur from letting him walk away, I reach up and hold his face in my hands, kissing him passionately. Trevor wraps his hand around my wrist and kisses me back with twice as much fervor.
We break apart, out of breath and full of smiles. Trevor looks at me for guidance and we fizzle into a nervous laughter. I reach up and brush my thumb tenderly across his cheekbone. He grabs my hand and turns his head, placing a sweet kiss on my palm. I then reach up and break the moment by ruffling my hand through his hair to mess it up.
“Hey!” He yells, grabbing waist to dig his hands into my sides. I screech with laughter as I try to escape. Trevor eventually yields and slips his hands from my sides to interlace with one another and pull me closer. I scoot in to sit against him, sitting half on top of him as our breathing falls in sync.
“I don’t just like you, too, Hughesy.” I smile.
“...You should probably call Dixie.”
“Oh shit.”

MISS ME?
genre. fluff. warnings. general uncanny counter stuff. spoilers (obv). pairing. so mun x counter!reader. wc. 983. a/n. requested by anon. this is probably rly shitty cause im questioning my own writing skills everyday atp. but yay im finally writing for uncanny counter!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You weren’t usually worried about Mun. He was the ace of the team, one of the strongest, smartest, most stable counters you had ever met. He went into every mission determined to catch the evil spirit and he rarely failed.
But usually you were right beside him while he did it. Being there and fighting with him let you make sure he was okay— it allowed you a sense of security knowing that you could protect him if he needed it. But you weren’t on the mission right now and it was starting to really freak you out.
You were prepared to go fight the evil spirit with the rest of the team as soon as Hana had spotted it, but you had sustained serious injuries from the last level 3 evil spirit the day before that even Ms. Chu wasn’t able to completely heal.
You knew your boyfriend only did it out of worry and care and love for you— making you stay behind on the mission, promising that he and the rest of the team would be okay and back by your side soon, encouraging you to rest up and not worry about him. But how could you possibly do that? He was the only thing on your mind from the second he left.
At first you thought of how he must be having some fun kicking some evil spirit’s ass. He probably looked really good while doing it, too. With his sarcastic comments and little celebrations whenever he did something that looked like it should be out of a superhero movie. He was adorable on and off the battlefield.
But as the hours went on and he still wasn’t back, your thoughts became more worried. What if the evil spirit was actually a level 3? What if Hana had seen wrong? What if he was injured or got separated from the team? There were too many variables in these types of fights. Every day, Mun and the team put their lives at stake to catch another evil spirit, and every success came with struggles. It was rewarding and so so worth it, but the risk was immense.
You could see it just by looking at yourself. How you still felt dizzy and lightheaded if you even stood up too quickly. How your body still ached even after Ms. Chu healing all your big injuries - stitching your body back together from its broken, bruised, and bleeding state. You got worried whenever Mun got so much as a scratch on him. What if he came back seriously injured?
On top of the obvious concerns about his safety the longer the night went on, you realized it had been storming for at least 20 minutes. You hoped the fight was taking place somewhere sheltered. The tracksuits were pretty good at keeping you warm, but amidst a heavy storm in the middle of the night, it wouldn’t be enough.
You felt pitiful, sitting there on your bed wrapped in a blanket when all you could do was wait. Worrying as much as you did for Mun was almost laughable. He was more than capable of taking care of himself. Ever since Cheongsin, he had only improved, and now could use his psychokinesis to its full potential.
He could beat every single counter on the team in training (except on the occasions were he purposefully let you win). A level 2 shouldn’t be too hard for him, right? Right. You needed to stop worrying so much about your boyfriend. He would come back. He always did.
And it seemed the conclusion to your hours of thinking brought just that. You heard the door to the noodle shop open, the bells jingling and loud sighs echoing through the building. You smiled. From their voices, nobody seemed particularly hurt.
“Unnie’s gang did it again.” Motak could be heard, and you could clearly picture his satisfied grin along with Ms. Chu’s scoff.
“You’re one to celebrate when you almost screwed up the entire mission. So Mun did most of the work.” Hana patted Mun firmly on the back.
“I’ll go check up on Y/n. She’s probably worried about me. Good work, guys.” Mun was quick to dismiss himself from the rest of the group and hurry up the stairs earning teasing comments about how lovesick he was.
“Baby,” He called even before he had opened the door, taking his place right next to you as fast as he could. “Miss me?”
“No, of course not.” You lied, eyes and elated smile giving you away. “You’re all wet.” You mumbled, running a hand through his soaked hair.
“I tried to ask the evil spirit to stop fighting and go to the closest abandoned building, but he didn’t want to.” Mun laughed with a shrug.
“Just a second-” You stood up to grab a towel from the bathroom, holding it over your hands and drying Mun’s hair as if he was a small child.
“I can do it myself, you know?” He complained with his eyes closed.
“I know, but I wanted to.”
“Cause you missed me?”
“Maybe just a little?”
“I bet you were thinking about me the entire time I was gone.” He insisted.
“So what if I was?” You asked, giving his hair one last pat with the towel and dropping it on the floor.
“Then I would tell you that I love you and probably kiss you?” He whispered, sneaking his arms around your waist and pulling you down on top of his lap smoothly. You flushed, your cheeks turning a bright red. Mun just laughed, cupping one of your cheeks with his hand.
“Shut up.” You mumbled, trying to think of anything other than your boyfriend at the current moment.
“I love you.” As soon as the words flowed out of his mouth, his lips reached yours in a kiss just like he said.

I Want To Hold Your Hand
Tumblr media
When Joe walked in just after three, he greeted Anne who was stood behind the counter, doing some till work, and he got a small grunt in reply.
Standard. Made him smile. No sign of you, though.
Joe looked, craned his neck, but every corner of the store was empty. You were probably doing something in the back. He’d see you in a second.
Like always, he found a book, found a seat, and settled in for at least an hour of reading. He had the time today. Time to sit. Time to read. To soak up the atmosphere. To maybe kiss you again, if he was lucky. Time to notice how Anne was being more quiet than usual. To see how she was helping customers in a voice so unnatural to her own, it kind of freaked him out a little. To see her disappear into the back and come out back on her own, and...
Where were you?
He’d kissed you a few days ago. Kissed you. And now, something felt... weird. Like something was missing.
It was nearing in on 4PM and Anne hadn’t yet told him to fuck off, or whatever, so he knew something was off.
It was quiet in the store when Joe spoke up and asked, “Hey, Anne... am I going insane, or–”
“It’s your fault.” she was quick to cut him off, not even looking up from her task.
Joe frowned. What had he done?
“What have I done?”
Anne sighed and gestured a vague hand at him as she said, “Just your mere existence.” like it was obvious.
Joe thought back to all of your recent interactions. Your granddad had sadly passed away just over two weeks ago. Last week he tried cheering you up by showing you some pictures from the shoot you allowed him to do in the store. He’d kissed you then. The funeral had happened, and Anne had let Joe help out behind the till for a second and... now, you were... hiding?
From him?!
Surely not.
That was going to make this plan of sneaking another kiss absolutely impossible.
Unacceptable.
Anne watched Joe go through every single thing he’d done or said over the past few days that could’ve upset you, and then begrudgingly sighed.
“You’re such an idiot.” Anne said, before nodding her head towards the door that read personnel - the same door Joe had walked through ten seconds into his first ever visit.
Joe didn’t need telling twice.
When he stepped into the breakroom, he wasn’t prepared for how he found you.
You were sat at the table, buried in your laptop, one leg up on the chair, chin resting on your knee, and it was obvious you’d been crying. No matter how sweetly you smiled at the sight of him, it was obvious. Your face still eyed somewhat blotchy, eyes void of make-up and the delicate skin around them coloured red.
“Hey,” you didn’t seem surprised at the sight of him, at the fact that he’d just walked right into a room he technically wasn’t really allowed to be in.
“Hey, you– I’m sorry, you weren’t in the store, Anne said I could–... are you all right?”
Your smile grew as you nodded.
“Yea, sorry. Something, happened... earlier, it’s nothing,” you were quick to wave a hand, dismissing whatever had gotten you to hide in the back entirely. “I’m okay. How are you?”
Joe didn’t believe you. Didn’t buy it for a second. He felt like he should, because it felt like it was polite to take you for your word, but he couldn’t help the suspicious narrowing of his eyes.
“What happened?”
“Well, nothing, really. I overreacted to something and–”
“To what?” Joe interrupted, and immediately apologised. “Sorry, I... I’m sorry, I just...”
He just, what? If Joe knew, he would’ve told you, but it was not that long ago that Joe found you crying in a closed store and this felt oddly similar.
He didn’t like you upset.
Made him want to fix it.
“I promise I’m okay, just... it was for the best for me to not face any customers for a second, and I had to do some administrative work anyway, so...”
Joe’s eyes fell on your laptop as you gestured at it, and then he saw what was next to it.
He recognised it instantly.
The book you’d never sell.
Was it insane to think that he knew something was missing in the storefront? That he’d subconsciously noticed that it wasn’t in its spot? On the shelf? Where it always sat?
Probably was.
“Oh, um...” you saw Joe’d noticed and laid a flat palm on the leather-bound cover. “Yea, this was,” you had to stop to swallow.
“You don’t have to tell me.” Joe quickly decided. He didn’t want to make you start crying again. He wanted exactly the opposite, actually.
“No, it’s not–” you cleared your throat and sat up straight. You didn’t want to get emotional again over such a silly thing. “It’s Anne. She sat me down here and refuses to let me do anything else.”
You used her as you excuse. You weren’t lying; Anne really had said that you could stay in the breakroom for the rest of the day. She’d man the front on her own fine. Would find you with questions but then would tell you everything was going okay and leave you on your own again. But she wasn’t keeping you there. You were keeping you there.
“Ah. Can’t piss off Anne, can we?” Joe smirked slightly.
“I think we piss off Anne all the time,” you laughed, and it broke the tension a little.
Joe awkwardly stood in the middle of the breakroom and you were sort of glad he was there, but you wished you would’ve just been in the storefront with him. That you would’ve gotten to see his face as he’d walked in. As he’d sat down with his book. As he’d crossed his legs and let his head rest in his palm of which the elbow pushed into the armrest.
Joe was still staring at where your hand was placed, and now that you couldn’t seem to move your hand away from the big book of fairytales and folklore your granddad used to read you stories from, it felt only fair to explain why you’d gotten upset earlier that day.
“Someone tried to buy it.”
It was so stupid, because, before, when someone would climb up a ladder and find it, you would smile and just tell them, “No sorry, that one belongs to the store, I’m afraid.” and calmly take it from their hands to put it back.
Where your granddad used to make you reach for it when you were little.
Where your mother would pluck you from a ladder and scold her father for making you climb up so high.
Where it lived.
Where it had always lived.
It had never been a problem before. People were allowed to touch it. To read it. To ask to buy it. You’d just tell them no, and that would be the end of it.
Not today, though.
“They caused a bit of a scene when I said they couldn’t.”
You smiled as you said it, but Joe saw right through it.
“They were right though. Why keep a book in a bookstore when it’s not for sale? It’s right in between all of the books that are... I should just, I don’t know. Keep it some place else, I guess.”
“Of course not.” Joe reacted matter-of-factly.
You’d just gone through something extremely traumatic, were still going through something extremely traumatic, and why would you listen to someone who didn’t know? Who didn’t understand?
Joe thought he barely even understood, but he understood this.
He understood the blotchy skin. He understood Anne banning you from your own store for the rest of the day. He understood why you weren’t moving your hand from your grandfather’s book that he used to read you your favourite story from.
“I hope this doesn’t sound insensitive, but... I kind of wish I’d have been here when that happened.”
Not so that he could be the hero. Not so that he could step in and tell them to maybe just accept what the store owner was telling them.
“I would’ve loved to see Anne’s face.”
That made you chuckle. Anne really was your personal guard dog, as so it turned out.
“It was a pretty great face,” you recalled, smiling to yourself. God, you really lucked out with her.
“Store’s fairly empty now, though...” Joe pointed a casual thumb over his shoulder, and you looked at the door to where Anne still was manning the front.
You took a deep breath and grimaced a little, “Yea, I know... but, I kind of... I have some things I can finish here,” you pulled your laptop towards you. “And we’re nearly closing, anyway, so...”
You had already decided this was going to be the place where you would do all of your work today, and didn’t really want to come out of hiding. You’d do that after Anne would lock up. When there wouldn’t be any chance of the bell above the door jolting you back into your anxiety.
Joe thought for a moment. Looked at you, your laptop, your grandfather’s book, and...
“Would you mind some silent company?”
That one other time he had found you all fragile and up in your emotions, he’d just sat down right next to you, started reading a book in silence, and it had worked. He kind of wanted to give it another go. See if it would also work a second time.
“I–...” you faltered and looked at the wooden chairs around the table you were sat at. “These aren’t half as comfortable as the ones out front.”
“I asked, would you mind it?” Joe let his eyes twinkle, lips almost smiling. It made you drop your shoulders a bit as you relaxed at the idea of a bit of Joe in the break room, just for your comfort.
“No, I wouldn’t mind it.” you copied his tone, and Joe’s almost-smile turned into a beaming one.
“Okay, one second.” Joe said, slapping the doorframe as he passed through it, and you heard how he rushed his steps.
“Not my fault!” you heard Joe call out to Anne.
“Absolutely your fault,” Anne calmly replied.
“Not my mere existence!”
“Just your face then.”
Joe jogged back into the breakroom with a book in hands and pulled out the chair opposite you. He sat down, found his page and gave you a last sneaky little look over your laptop screen.
Then, just like before, he offered you his hand.
His hand.
Joe laid his arm across the table, wrist up, palm open, with fingers just shy of touching your laptop.
You just looked at it a moment.
Joe didn’t need to comfort you the way he had done that day, in the store, when all you could do was think about your grandfather and cry at his memories and the fact that there wouldn’t be new ones made.
A customer hadn’t been very kind to you today about something you felt sensitive about, and over an hour had passed already. You were fine.
But the gesture was sweet. Joe offered his hand for holding and even though it wasn’t needed, necessarily, it was still a nice gesture.
Kind.
Joe was so sweet. So kind. Soft and gentle and lovely.
You remembered how nice the distraction of playing fingers had been. How it had calmed you down enough for you to reveal the source of your hurt that day.
“Come on,” Joe then softly said, not unkindly, and you made eye-contact for a second. If he wasn’t going to be able to kiss you today, he could still try for the next best thing.
“I want to hold your hand.”
Just like that, it all shifted from a comforting gesture that was meant to soothe you to just a thing Joe wanted for himself. It was a bit silly how that made it easier to give in.
You reached a hand over and let the tips of your fingers touch the warm skin of his palm before they spread out and found a way to hold onto Joe’s closing fingers. They curled together best they could in their position, and when you chanced another glance at Joe, you saw the faintest hint of a smile across his face as his eyes had found his page again.
You got back to your work on your laptop, and whilst it definitely was a lot trickier to work down your to do list with one hand, it was also definitely a lot more gratifying.
You sat in the breakroom together like that until you could hear Anne carry the A-frame into the store, and where before you’d wished the day had just been over already, you kind of wished you’d get at least another five minutes with Joe. All right. Maybe ten.
Joe stayed put until you closed your laptop.
Joe stayed put until you got up to go back out front.
And then Joe stayed put until you walked back into the breakroom to pick up your grandfathers big leather bound book; the one book you’d never sell.
Joe watched you place it back where it belonged.
Back on its shelf where Joe remembered finding it after your grandfather asked him to go fetch him something from up high.
“Thank you.” you said looking down from you position up on a ladder, and Joe just smiled.
“Thank you.” Joe said in return, holding up the book he’d been reading before putting it down on his little ledge where he kept them.
“Thank me.” Anne dryly said, mostly to herself, from where she was doing the till.
“No.” Joe gave Anne the same smile he’d given you, and made you giggle as he said goodbye and left the store with a small wave.
“Thank you Anne,” you made a point to say it, because Anne really had been the star of the show today.
“Thank you so much.”
“You’re welcome.”

so you feel it too?
alessia russo x reader
w/c: ~1.3k
part 2 to 'what can i do'
pt1: what can i do / pt3: if i find you in this lifetime (it better be the right time)
a/n: im not in love with the beginning but i promise it gets better i just had to figure out how to start it cause it was annoying me😭 and its a little shorter than i would like but i just wanted to get it out
this is the real angst
there will be a third part too!
------------------------------------------------------------
lessi love to ‘You’
-> I broke up with him
The message feels like its glaring at you- the words almost jumping out of your phone to taunt and mock you, it feels like a slap across your face. You read over it several times, whether to make sure you haven’t imagined the words, or to hope that the very words you’ve wished for would disappear- you aren’t sure. Despite how long you’ve waited for this message- every response you come up with doesn’t seem right.
Your thumbs hover over the keypad- you go to type several times, deleting the message after each attempt. You have no idea how to respond; you could ask if she’s alright, maybe respond with a ‘finally’ and confess your undying love for the blonde striker.
You end up settling with your first idea though.
You to ‘lessi love'
-> are you okay?
You send the message and throw your phone back down on the ground- running your hands over your face. Waiting for her to reply you go back to what you were doing, before Alessia’s ringtone blares from your phone. You scramble to pick up.
“Hey Less-“
“Can I come over?’
She cuts you off- and you bite your lip.
“Now? Less I’m not even home at the-“
“Please- I’m outside, I just really need you right now.”
She’s sniffling, you can picture her with her big, blue, glassy eyes, and trembling lips- and it makes your heart break all over again.
You hate when she cries.
You gather up your things- leaving the gym quickly.
“I’ll be there in 20 Lessi.”
You hang up the phone- almost tripping over your own feet in your haste to leave.
When you get to your car, you sit for a second- head resting against the steering wheel. Taking deep breaths, you can’t help but think just how much of your life Alessia has consumed- you think of just how much you’d sacrifice for her, just how you’d willingly drop everything in a heartbeat is she asked.
You pull out of the car park and make your way home- definitely above the speed limit. You dial Leah’s number on your way, and wait for her to pick up. When you hear your call go through you immediately start speaking.
“Leah… I’m so, so, fucked!”
“Why are you ‘so, so fucked’.”
“Alessia just- I mean just broke up with her boyfriend, and she called me crying, from outside my apartment.”
“This is a good thing- isn’t it? I thought you said you’d confess if she ever broke up with that thing. This is your chance, swoop in be her saviour, her knight in shining armour- maybe ya know, make out a little.”
“Leah! You are not helping.”
“What? I never did like him.”
“What do I do? What should I do- actually what can I do?!”
“You better figure it out- I’m sick of hearing about this, you said you’d tell her you love her- she’s single now- so do it.”
-
You see Alessia before she sees you.
True to her word she is outside your apartment- sitting on the steps like a lost kid. You approach her- footsteps light as to not startle her. You come to a stop in front of her, and keep your voice soft when you speak.
“Come on Less, let’s get you inside.”
Her head shoots up at the sound of your voice- and before you can blink, she’s thrown herself in your arms. Her strong arms wrap around your shoulders and you nearly lose your footing at the force of her hug.
Again- before you can think she starts rambling and you listen intently- like always.
“I’m sorry for interrupting your day like this- you probably have so many things you’d rather be doing and here I am just barg-“
You cut her off.
“Less, it’s fine, you’re okay, it doesn’t matter you’re more important- I would drop anything for you. “
“I mean I don’t even know why I’m crying, I mean, I broke up with him.”
She releases you from the hug and wipes her tears away.”
“So, why did you?”
The question slips from your mouth before you can think- and you bite the inside of your cheek as you wait for her reply.
She looks at you softly- and smiles shyly.
“I just took your advice- I guess.”
It’s a simple answer- and it doesn’t allude to anything- no hidden meanings, no underlying confession, but your heart can’t help but skip a beat when she says it.
“You going to let me in? Or are we just standing outside.”
-
“Alessia?”
She hums- looking at you from the other couch, she smiles softly at you, despite her eyes stinging, and red from crying.
You swallow the lump in your throat- wringing your hands nervously, you wipe them on your pants, sitting up a bit straighter. Alessia- who seems to notice the slight change in your demeanour sits up too. She eyes you curiously, and tilts her head to the side- her eyebrows furrowed slightly.
“Are you okay?”
She asks so sweetly, and suddenly you’re reminded of why you love her so much. You watch her get up from her spot and sit beside you. She grabs your hands and places a soft kiss on them, when you don’t answer her question.
“You know you can tell me anything right?”
“I know Less.”
“Good.”
She beams at you, and just like that- she turns back to the movie playing.
“Alessia- I need to tell you something.”
She looks at you again- her bright blue eyes twinkling under the warm glow of lights in your apartment.
“I love you- I have always loved you, you are the person I think of when I first wake, and the last person I think of when I go to sleep- in fact you never leave my mind. I dream of you each night- you consume my every being Alessia. I have never loved anyone, the way I love you. I love the way you play with your hands when your nervous, I love the way you always put others before yourself, I love your kindness. I just love you.”
Your chest heaves after your outburst- and you can’t even bare to look at her, too afraid of her reaction to look.
You feel her hands cup your cheeks though- her thumbs run over them and wipe away the tears you didn’t know were there. She gently tilts your face up to make eye contact with her.
“I didn’t know you felt that way about me. I had no idea.”
You reach up to hold her hands, that still rest on your cheeks- for the first time since you’ve known her, you have no idea what she’s thinking and it kills you.
“Lessi? Please say something.”
Her hands drop from your face and she takes a step back- you feel your heart shatter a little more.
“I- I don’t know what to say, I don’t know- I don’t know.”
“What do you mean you don’t know?”
Your voice cracks at the amount of emotions rushing through you- the heartache, the pain, the sheer embarrassment of confessing your love for your best friend.
“I mean why would you tell me now? Do you know just how long I’ve waited for you to say something- anything! I’ve cried to Tooney so much- I tried distracting myself with anyone and- and you decide to tell me now? I just got over you.”
Alessia is crying now- and it’s not the soft silent one she usually does, she’s full sobbing and it’s all your fault.
“Less-“
You try- but she cuts you off, already halfway to your front door.
“I think, I just need to think- sorry- just, give me some time, okay?”
She leaves you- again.

planetarium!armin
Tumblr media
im finally back with the planetarium!armin headcanons i‘ve been meaning to write based on this idea!
word count: 412 warnings: none ─── ・ 。゚☆: .☽ . :☆゚. ─── planetarium!armin could never have imagined someone studied the sky inside the walls, they had very basic knowledge, limited to telescopes probably but being in this huge building with information about EVERYTHING in the sky, with pictures, videos and simulations, armin was losing it
planetarium!armin drags you to every single exhibit and questions everything „how many planets in our galaxy? and how many galaxies? how did we see the galaxies if they're so far away from ours?“ „how many people have travelled to other galaxies? what do you mean none? then how can we know the information in here is for real???“ planetarium!armin loved taking pictures of everything and scribbling in his notebook, writing additional questions that kept popping into his head and jolting down names of stars and planets so that he’d return to them and conduct his research when you got home it was quite difficult to get him to settle after this celestial frenzy
his fave part of your date was probably buying the build the solar system board game, which he opened long before you made it to your apartment, in order to inspect the analogy of the figures
planetarium!armin is the type of person to cut out the pretty photos from the leaflets you were given and make a collage or a moodboard, in which he adds a picture of you two at the planetarium and then he displays it on your fridge for days he even added those little white stickers meant for captions and wrote the date and „our first time among planets“ or some silly lil thing planetarium!armin now wants to buy a telescope and you regret ever taking him to the planetarium „how about we catch the next eclipse at the planetarium? they’ve an event set up and we can sign up if you wanna go too“
baby boi is so hyped and i’m so here for it!!! you once even bought him a pack of those themed stickers for scrapbooks (cosmos themed ofc!) and he couldn’t be happier „this is so cute y/n, thank you! now we can have planet stickers all around the house!“ „no we can’t armin“ planetarium!armin is too precious for this world, the eyes he makes to get you to go to several planetariums in your vicinity, and you do go on various such dates with him („i could never get tired of the universe y/n!“) and also planetarium!armin is WAY TOO PRECIOUS FOR THIS WORLD FULL STOP ✋

i need to sleep soon, but i've been rotating pastra's new video with his own retelling of the jeff the killer creepypasta and. mein gott……
first of, Go Watch 🔫
and second of, spoilers under the cut, bc im gonna ramble abt it now!!
so there's thing ive noticed of a few rewrites i have read before is that many times the authors take a lot of creative liberties while rewriting and, well, many of them interested me a lot ngl! most of them are full rewrites with almost no similarities to the og story that isnt the characters and maybe one or two plot points, and i think about them and it amazes me how one can change a characters story and still make it feel like the same character
but the thing about pastra's rewrite, is that they understands Who jeff the killer is and What jeff is, and not only gives the original story's Feeling an actual structure, but a Why for it too
and that starts with the who. jeff is a villain in most narratives that had included him before, even if the original creepypasta aimed (?) for him to be sort of the empathetic, like. back then he was but a kid, maybe a violent one, but a kid that fell to his most destructive urges nevertheless (and with this extra, irrational fear that i think was more of a personal observation when i first hear of this creepypasta when i was Really young, of "oh god, what if turn out like Him" since he was around my age then, but anyways.)
but this jeff is not a kid anymore, is actually of college age, and for most of this rewrite's narrative he is this looming terror on the loose; death with a rotting, self made smile. and as more things are revealed, and both the detectives and audience get closer to jeff, at first one would think is going with the same, empathetic route like the original, with the bullies and stuff, but since we already know how that goes, pastra actually Uses that to get people by surprise and… no, he isn't just a kid, or in this case a man, Driven to madness by circumstances. he starts a villain, ends a villain
which perfectly pictures what jeff as a concept was and is in essence:
a brutal, unpredictable force of violence; a monster
and that's what makes him scary again, because he is still a human after all, but his actions slowly take away that until only his appearance, no matter how mutilated it is by that point, is what anchors him to his humanity; a tether to it made out of a spider's web string
like i remember listening to the narration in the background while playing splatoon some days ago, and sometimes having to pause the game just to listen more attentively. and in some parts, specially towards the end, making me actually feel kinda scared, not only for liu (which is also Very well written and the role he plays to connect jeff's past to the present and reveal his true intentions is Amazing), but for every single one of the witnesses too
and then that part. that one part after staying convinced most of the video that this rewrite would follow a similar plot as the original, liu says "but no. it was just… jeff" LIKE- that legit gave me Chills, and minutes after jeff's infamous phrase Actually used well??? like as i said, this actually brought back some of that fear from the original, tho it mostly impressed me for the execution, but genuinely what the fuck (legit said out loud while listening "are they gonna- no they won't- HE DID…")
n. well, this is less about the creepypasta now, but just me thinking how good pastra's storytelling is, the story's structure feels so clean and interconnected, the pacing is so nice but it has that touch of his that is across all his videos. and the voice acting!! the man genuinely sounded insane when jeff did, is incredible :D

a/n: im so happy you like my writing, thank you so so much also thank you so much for requesting dad!trevor
Tumblr media
Trevors life had definitely changed substantially in the past few months. Every single part of the pregnancy had been exciting and he could still remember the way his heart felt when his wife had told him she was pregnant. As more time passed he had only gotten more excited and nervous too because they both would be responsible for a small human. Before he got married and had met his now wife he barely could take care of himself and now he was going to be a father.
Life changed but it changed so beautifully for him. When his daughter was born and he got to see her for the first time, something just clicked for him. He had waited so many months for this moment and her precious life was in his hands. He knew that day going forward everything he did in his life would be for her and for his wife. Going back to work was hard because once they had gone home with the baby he didn’t want to leave the nursery much less the house.
But now he was slowly getting back into the groove of things. Tonight was his first game since the birth of his daughter and he was excited and nervous all at once for it. He wasn’t sure why he was nervous but maybe it was because his mind was still on going home and seeing the baby. That fear quickly went away because while on the ice he thought about her but still remained focus.
After the game he got told he was getting pulled for an interview and he had a feeling he knew about some of the questions. “Hello Trevor, we heard congratulations are in order. New baby at home, how are you feeling? Tired?” The interviewer asked and immediately a smile grew on his lips. He was already a talker but now forget it. “I’m great, my wife is a warrior and getting to watch her with our daughter the past couple of weeks has been amazing.”
“Definitely tired but it’s so worth it and I’m really looking forward to going home and getting to see my baby girl tonight even if she’ll probably be asleep by the time I get there.” Trevor moved to pull out his phone, pulling out his photo album. “Here I’ll show you some pictures. This is all I’ve done basically for the last couple of weeks. That and a lot of diaper changes.” He chuckled as he started showing the interviewer photos.
He was officially that dad who had to show pictures of his baby to everyone around him. They quickly wrapped up the interview and Trevor made his way home as quickly as he could. Once he got home his wife gave him a smile as he walked into the nursery to where she was holding their sleeping daughter in her arms. She raised a finger to her lips to make sure he wouldn’t talk too loudly. “We watched your game tonight and your interview.” She smiled at you, letting you know she heard every word you said. “Here want to hold her for a bit? I think she missed you."

XV.
TIANA I was at work doing my clients' nails, focusing on putting the gems on their nails. I smiled at my work, knowing how good I was at it. While I was doing that, I saw that my phone pinged. Jey had texted me, but he had to wait for a little bit because I was focusing on their nails.
ZaddyJey🤍 sent 2+ messages ZaddyJey🤍: mamas Trin and em want to hangout at the beach today. ZaddyJey🤍: you down?
After finishing up my clients' nails, I took a picture of them smiling in satisfaction, knowing that I'd get them right every single time. Before they left, they sent me the money on Current while also giving me a good tip.
Mamas🩷: sorry I didn't respond quickly had to finish up a client. ZaddyJey🤍: it's all good mama but are you down to go? Mamas🩷: of course, I miss my girls anyways ZaddyJey🤍: a'ight then mama I'll come pick you up. Mamas🩷: okay papi I love you. 🫶🏼 ZaddyJey🤍: I love you too ma.
I loved Jey so much. He was like my safe place, somewhere I could be comfortable. He just knew all the right things to say.
He was so perfect for me.
✧.* I finally made it home after a long day at work today. I turned off the ignition in my car as I grabbed my purse and keys. I walked up to unlock the door, went inside the house, closed it behind me while I held onto the wall, and took off my shoes in the process.
I went upstairs to my bedroom to change into my swimsuit while I waited for Jey to come pick me up. Meanwhile, I was scrolling through my social media feed, liking everyone's story or post.
Noticing that Kehlani and Malakai were posted up yet again with each other saying how much they "loved" each other, which I call total bull shit when they're just trying to get underneath me and Jey's skin, but it ain't working.
'He's so delusional and so is she.'
I remember all those times when he would just beat me and belittle me. He is probably going to be doing the same thing to her, just like how he did me.
I heard loud music playing, knowing that it was Jey because he always be playing that loud ass music to be heard. I made sure I grabbed my purse along with my keys before heading downstairs to see my man.
Opening the door, I was greeted by this fine specimen standing there looking all good, with his silver chain on and his piercings on both of his ears. God, he never fails to look good.
I hugged him, standing on my tippy toes to kiss him as he scooped me up by my thighs, placed me on his car, and got between my legs.
"You so gorgeous baby." Jey said as he squeezed my thick ass.
I was touching all over his body while he gazed down at me, causing me to look up into his eyes innocently.
"Thank you papi, you look good yourself." I replied.
"Are you ready to go? They're waiting on us, " he asked. I nodded as he put me down on the ground, and we both went inside his car.
He pulled out of the driveway and began driving away towards the beach. He gave me the aux cord so that I could play my music in his car, which I loved because he and I could vibe out together.
ᴺᴼᵂᴾᴸᴬᵞᴵᴺᴳ : Matt Champion Fangs
He and I were vibing out to the song while his hand was on my thigh, focusing on the road as I pulled a pre-roll blunt out of my purse and lit it up.
I gave it a few puffs before giving it to Jey, letting him hit the blunt. Then, I sat back in my seat, listening to the song.
"I wanna count the freckles on your face" "Rearrange 'em, put 'em in the same place" I'm obsessed, I'm obsessed, I'm obsessed
I turned my head, admiring Jey's features. He was so handsome and so fine. How lucky am I to have him in my life right now?
If I hadn't met him, I probably would've been dealing with Malakai, honestly, like I'm so smitten with him. He passed me back the blunt as I continued to take a few more puffs out of it.
Little fangs, oh, little fangs, oh Little fangs, little fangs Little fangs, little fangs, little fangs Don't you take her fangs Little fangs, little fangs
I felt him squeeze my thigh with his hand while staring at me, looking into my features just like I was doing. We stopped at a red light as he leaned in closer to me, placing his lips on mine and grabbing my throat in the process.
We had a mini make-out session before the light could turn green. He couldn't keep his hands to himself.
Now move it left right left Gone take it back a couple steps Hands on your hips all night Hold my hand til it feels right Beat that left right left
I felt his hand snake underneath my pussy, rubbing it as I twitch a bit from his touch, feeling him smirk. I began going inside his trunks, stroking him up and down since he wanted to play.
He pulled away from the kiss as he saw that the light had turned green and began driving while I kept stroking him.
Gone take it back couple steps Hands on your hips all night Hold my hand till it feels right
SMUT WARNING He pulled down his trunks, giving me more access to him as I moved my hair to the side, placing my lips on his sensitive tip, hearing a moan escape his lips.
I was bobbing my head up and down on his dick, along with me stroking it, seeing him losing focus on the road for a bit.
I gazed up at him, seeing him gazing down at me, then back up at the road. I smiled at him as I continued to go down on him.
"S-shit mama..." Jey moaned as he rubbed against his beard with his available hand.
I swirled my tongue on his sensitive tip, tasting his pre-cum on my tongue as my drool was coming down my hand to his dick, covering it up.
I removed my lips from his dick as I stroked his dick up and down while gazing up at him smiling.
He found it, assuming that I was smiling at him like this.
"You like this papi? Me stroking you up and down?" I cooed at him.
Yeah, I picture you suckin' it on the sofa Eyes rolled back, somethin' like a coma Pick you up, ride around to my favorite albums Hit me up, cut me off, who be next?
"Fuck yes, mama...looking fine as hell." He managed to rasp.
I placed my mouth onto his pretty tip again as he threw his head back, moaning and groaning, trying to focus on the road.
My face felt flushed as I felt his dick twitching inside of my mouth, seeing him clenching his thighs tightly.
As I was deep-throating his dick, I felt tears coming down my face while his tip hit the back of my throat, causing me to gag on him.
"Keep goin', Mama, make me nut...fuck." I saw him gripping the wheel tightly.
When we text, freeze frame Grab your hand, freeze frame Tell me how you feel (tell me how you feel) Never feel real (never feel real)
His moans were heard all over the car as I continued to suck his tip, trying the manage the burning sensation that I was feeling in my jaw.
How was I supposed to know Ow-oh, that you only wanted me tonight?
After a while, he let out a loud groan while cumming all inside of my mouth as I pulled out, hearing that pop coming from my mouth.
SMUT OVER
I wiped the corner of my mouth, seeing his tatted chest heaving up and down as he looked at me, and I smiled at him.
"Damn, girl, yo' ass finna make me crash the damn car sucking me up like that." He said.
I chuckled at him while pulling up the camera on my phone to make sure I looked good so the girls wouldn't suspect anything.
Little fangs, oh, little fangs, oh Little fangs, little fangs Little fangs, little fangs, little fangs Don't you take her fangs Little fangs, little fangs
✧.* We finally made it to the beach; as we got out of the car, we saw the girls and guys lying down on their towels, enjoying the vitamin D.
They saw Jey and me coming towards them, and Trinity and Bianca approached me, hugging me while the guys were dabbing it up.
"Girl, why is yo' face so flushed?" Bianca asked as I got quiet as she knew hitting me in my arm.
I winched in pain while doing the same thing to her. "Ouch! The fuck B." She rolled her eyes at me while putting her hands on her hips.
"Girl, don't do that, yall is nasty, bro." She said.
"What happened?" Trinity asked.
"This girl gave her man head before they got here." Trinity covered her ears, not wanting to hear it knowing damn well she was doing that with Jonathan's ass.
We laughed with each other as we admired the guys playing and fighting with each other while we walked toward the fine specimens.
They saw us walking towards them as Jey walked up towards me, putting me in a position of a fucking Samoan drop as he ran us towards the water. Trying to fight him off of me, knowing that he was stronger than me as the Samoan dropped me into the water.
I came up from the water, seeing Jey laughing at me as I ran towards him, pushing him back into the waving waters.
"Oh my gosh, Josh, you're so childish!" I shouted as he continued to laugh at me.
Now move it left right left Gone take it back a couple steps Hands on your hips all night Hold my hand til it feels right Beat that left right left
He threw his hands up in defense, acting all innocent like he didn't just drop my ass in the damn ocean water.
I ran over to him, choking him from behind and climbing on his back like I'm such a type of monkey while he spun me around, causing me to scream, telling me to stop.
Gone take it back couple steps Hands on your hips all night Hold my hand till it feels right
He stopped spinning me around and held onto him tightly, feeling dizzy as he gazed up at me, chuckling.
"You done attempting to choke me out?" Jey asked as I nodded my head as he carried us back to Trinity and em.
Put yo hands up if ya ever been in love I know I hate it, I hate it as much as you, oh, oh Baby put your hands up if ya ever, if ya ever If ya ever been in, in love
I got off of him while sitting down on the towel, wrapping myself in the available towel, feeling cold already. Bianca and Trin came to sit next to me, seeing me wrapped up in a towel.
"Girl I know you ain't cold right now." Bianca questioned me.
"Yes, I am like very cold B." I said.
"Anyways, when are you and Jey gonna get married, girl?" She asked.
Everyone has been asking us the same question: When are we going to get married? Like I said before, I don't want to rush into marriage yet, and I know Jey doesn't want to rush into that either.
Again, I am very confident that Jey will be my husband and that I will have his babies.
"Guysss, I told yall ion wanna rush into that and Jey doesn't either." I said.
"Are you scared T?" Trinity asked.
I shook my head. "No, I just want it to be a disaster, and then we get divorced afterward. Ion wants that. I am confident enough to say I'll be his wife soon." They both nodded their heads as we watched the fine specimen playing around.
While we were watching them, I saw a familiar face, two familiar faces walking down the beach, holding hands. When I could make out the faces, I just knew that it was that bitch Malakai and Kehlani holding hands.
I scoffed as I tapped on Bianca pointing at them. "What the fuck?" Trinity started to catch on as her face scrunched up, seeing Kai and Kehlani.
"The fuck are they doing here?" Trinity said as she saw the couple.
"I don't know but I hope they don't start up no shit." I said as I folded my arms.
They made eye contact with us, smirking, and I rolled my eyes when I saw them coming up to us.
We all stood us as we folded our arms at them.
"Look who we have here, baby; it's Tiana and her little dogs." Kehlani said.
Our faces scrunched up while looking at each other and then back at them.
"Dogs? Girl, bye, don't fucking play with me." I said.
"Whatever I know, you're very devastated that I am with your ex now." I laughed at her loudly while placing my hands on my hips.
I could sense that her energy was off after I realized that Malakai was holding her back. They really had the nerve to show up here, trying to start something.
"For your information I am honestly happy with Jey I'm glad I can make him happy unlike someone." That's what set her off. She tried to come at me, but he managed to hold her back.
We saw the guys coming back, trying to see what was happening right now.
"Do we have a problem here?" Jey spoke in a husky tone, startling Malakai and Kehlani.
They both turned around and saw him standing there behind them, with Jey folding his arms above his chest.
He came over to me, wrapped his hand around my waist, and kissed me on the cheek. I could see that Kai felt triggered in some way.
"If there aren't any problems, y'all can leave." He said.
"You know what fuck you, Jey. I can't believe that you're with this bitch!" Kehlani yelled.
"Watch yo' mouth, Lani." I walked up in her face, giving her a push.
She tumbled a bit before getting in my face. But I stood my ground, not being scared of when she knew that I'll fuck her up.
Jey held me back as I went behind him, hearing her scoffing. "Yeah, go behind him you won't do shit." And that set me off as I pushed her harshly on the ground, getting on top of her and beating her head in.
I got really tired of her shit while I was bashing her head onto the ground, slapping her across the face. Meanwhile, Jey scooped me up by my waist while Malakai came to her aid.
"Mama, she isn't worth it. I told you not to waste your energy on her, okay?" Jey reassured me as I nodded my head.
"Tiana bro, what the fuck yo—I don't fucking care, Kai! I really don't, and you're going against your restraining order by messing with me. Leave me alone! Let me be happy for once, Kai! For once!" I cut him off before he could say anything.
"Nah, you had your stupid ass friends take you away from me all because I'd "abused you," Malakai said, throwing quotes, trying to gaslight me.
JEY I could see Tiana's energy shift, knowing that something like this was triggering her right now. Hearing them two going back and forth.
"No! Don't try to gaslight me nigga. You abused me and almost put me in the hospital! And my so-called "stupid." ass friends helped me get away from you to start somewhere fresh!" Tiana continued as I've seen tears coming down her cheeks.
I came up towards her, wrapping my arms around her waist, trying to calm her down.
"All those times, all of those haunting memories of you beating me, cheating on me. Making my life a living hell, wondering if someone would love somebody like me."
"and then your stupid ass parents are more delusional about it than you're, and it's sickening to my stomach, so please—-leave me the fuck alone."
It was silent as we all heard her muffled cries, and it just broke my heart to see her like this while dealing with this.
"Wow, I can't believe that you're playing the victim here after all I did for you." He said, scoffing when she heard that she was out of my grip, slapping him across the face hard.
Malakai held his face while looking at Tiana like she was crazy. Before he could do anything to her, I stepped up, pulled her behind me, and gazed up at the ol' boy.
Tumblr media
"Yo' ass might wanna rethink your choices fuck boy." I said in a husky tone.
"Man fuck you, Jey? Is that what they call you?—yeah fuck you, she'll come to her senses."
"Nah, she's good where's at with me, unlike yo' ass having sloppy seconds over there." I pointed directly at Kehlani as she looked offended by my statement.
Bianca held Tiana's hand, pulling her away so they could comfort her while I defended her. I was so tired of his ass showing up and trying to degrade Tiana like she wasn't a human with feelings.
'Imma defend her every chance I get.'
"Uce c'mon he ain't worth it.  I promise you he ain't." Jimmy said as I looked over at Jon and then at Tiana, who was with Bianca and Trin.
I rubbed against my beard, chuckling darkly, "Nah uce you right, his ain't worth it c'mon let's go before I crash the fuck out." Grabbing everything that we had brought from the car.
✧.* We finally made it to Tiana's crib, seeing Bianca and Montez's car parked in the driveway. As we got out of the car together, I could tell that Tiana's energy was off.
She unlocks the door and goes inside the house as I close it behind us. I see her bending over and taking off her shoes before heading upstairs.
I followed her towards her bedroom, seeing her take off her clothes in front of me, knowing how am I with her doing that, especially right in front of me.
Seeing her pick out some fresh clothing to sleep in, I went behind her, wrapping my arms around her waist before scooping her up. Making her straddled on my lap naked.
Gazing up at her, I saw that her beautiful deer eyes were puffy from all of the crying she was doing. I caressed my thumb on her cheek gently. She held onto my hand while I did that, calming her nerves just a little bit.
Pulling her in a kiss as my lips were onto her thick ones.
"Let me know what's up mama. What's on your mind, baby?" I asked, placing my hands on her hips.
"A lot, Josh; it's a lot, " she said while looking down at her fingers and picking at them.
I grabbed her by the chin, making her look up at me so we could maintain eye contact. I could see in her eyes that she was tired mentally.
"You don't have to hide it in, princess; I'm right here, love." I grabbed her hand, kissing it softly.
Tiana began being vulnerable and honest with me, just explaining how she was feeling right now, feeling like she wasn't enough or too much to handle due to her being with his bitch ass.
It just made my heart hurt hearing her talk down on herself like this when she's the most beautiful woman I've ever been with. Everything about her is just perfect. This is something that god wanted me to have.
Before she finishes her sentence, I firmly grasp her by the throat, placing my soft lips onto hers and slipping my tongue inside her mouth.
Feeling myself getting hard underneath her, I maintain my composure gripping her thick ass firmly.
"You're—" between the kiss "enough—" feeling our tongues dancing around each other. "—baby" pulling away from the kiss as she gaze down at me.
She was playing in my mullet as I placed soft kisses on her neck, making her feel loved because that was all she needed.
I grabbed her breast, circling my tongue around the nipple as she moaned softly, feeling her grinding onto my lap.
I sat up while holding her tight as I removed my trunks, throwing them on the ground and making her sit down on my hardened dick.
"Josh?" She called me.
"What's up, mama? Let Daddy know what he can do to see that pretty smile of yours." I said while maintaining eye contact with her.
"Can you shower me with love and affection, please, Daddy?" Hearing her saying it so innocently just made me want to bend her ass over on this bed and fuck her brains out.
Nodding my head while rubbing against my beard. "Yeah mamas daddy's got'chu now c'mere." pinning her onto the bed kissing her all over her body.
SMUT WARNING
"Ouuu fuck Josh." Jey had her on the edge of the bed in back-shots beating her shit in while he gripped her hips tightly.
Her back was arched perfectly, only for him to see his view of her ass. Thrusting his hips deeply into her wet cunt.
He grabbed a whole load of her hair, making her back more arched than it already is as he fucked her deeply.
"S-shit! J-Josh!" She moaned while placing her hand on his stomach, trying to slow him down, but he grabbed her arm, putting it behind her back as he continued to pound into her.
"Mhm, take it mama, take this fucking dick." Jey rasped.
Pushing his dick deeply inside of her while she had her eyes rolling in the back of her head at the sensation that she was feeling.
Her walls clenched around his dick, hearing a groan escape from his lips, slapping her on her ass.
"Open up to me, mama...let Daddy stretch his pussy out." She loosened up for him as she felt him circling his hips, hitting her spot every single chance he got.
It felt like she was on cloud nine, feeling her breast jiggling to his movements. Skins were slapping against each other, which sounded the entire room.
Moans and groans were heard all over the room as he let go of her hair, replacing his hand in front of her throat.
"Throw that ass back on me, mama, make daddy nut." He whispered in her ear as she did what she was told to do.
Throwing her ass back onto him as he looked down, seeing his dick going in and out of her gushy insides, satisfied. Slapping her ass in the process.
He placed both of his hands in front of her throat, pounding into her vigorously to match her movements as she began to moan loudly.
Feeling the pressure of him constantly hitting her spot.
"Joshhhhh...." She whined as she felt a familiar pit going down her stomach.
he threw his head back In pleasure, biting down his bottom lip and looking how miserable she was.
"Is this—" smacks her ass, "daddy's pussy—" does it again. "Mamas?" She felt tears running down her cheeks while nodding her head, but that's the answer he wanted to hear.
He wanted her to say it, gripping the front of her throat a little more, not trying to hurt her.
"Use your words, baby."
"Y-yes! It's yours, Daddy! All yours!" she screamed like it was her last chance. Jey smirked, satisfied with her answer.
He could tell that her facial expressions were turning up, knowing that she was about to cum all over him, giving him the opportunity to thrust his hips deeper, making her feel every inch of him.
"Gimme' that shit, mama, nut all over daddy's dick." He encouraged her, talking her through it as she rolled her eyes in the back of her head.
Feeling her legs and body shake underneath him while he gave her punishing strokes that were only getting slower and sloppier with each thrust he gave.
Tiana let out a loud moan as she squirted all over Jey's dick, feeling it trickle down her leg, feeling defeated by him.
She tried pushing him away again due to the sensitivity that she was feeling after having a crazy orgasm, but he smacked her hands away, only making matters worse.
"I'm finna nut all in this pussy mama this good ass pussy fuck." After a few more deep strokes, Jey filled her up with his warm seeds, letting out a satisfying groan escaping his lips.
Pulling out and seeing his nut mixed with hers dripping out of her.
SMUT OVER.
Her body was shaking violently as I kissed her on her ass towards her back to calm her down, rubbing against her thighs.
"Fuck, Jey..." she mewled weakly, gazing down at him as he hovered over her making her feel small.
"I know, mama, I know. C'mon, let's go take a nice warm bath together, love." I said softly as I scooped her up in my arms, carrying her to her bathroom and shutting the door behind us.
