SECRET'S OUT
genre. fluff. secret relationship. warnings. kinda scandalous kissing spots (not really suggestive tho). jokes about jeokbong liking y/n. pairing. so mun x fem!counter!reader. wc. 1.5k. a/n. from this request!
“I still don’t like that we have to go this far.” So Mun complained, his pout barely visible in the dark, “It’s cramped.”
“I never said we had to go to a closet. I just said somewhere private.” You defended. The closet had somehow been the first thing your boyfriend had thought of as a private place, and the space for 2 adult sized bodies was definitely limited.
“There’s nowhere private in the new base and you know that. The bedroom doors have windows since it was originally a warehouse.”
“I know. I wasn’t the one who couldn’t go a day without kissing their girlfriend.” You jabbed at him.
“I’m not the one who insisted on keeping this a secret!” He countered, crossing his arms in faux annoyance.
“Do you want to be teased by everyone? Cause I know I don’t… Especially Hana, god.” The muttered remark made Mun cringe as well.
“You’re right, this is better.” So Mun’s hands circled around your waist, pulling you closer in the already close space. “Even if I have to resort to kissing you in a closet.”
You giggled, hands resting on his shoulders, tiptoeing in order to reach his lips, “How scandalous of you.” You mumbled, smiling against his lips but not putting any pressure into kissing him. So Mun seemed to get inpatient for you to initiate a proper kiss and kissed you first.
In the relationship, you were definitely the responsible one. It wasn’t like you wanted to be, but someone had to do it otherwise there was no way you two wouldn’t get found out by the rest of the team. So Mun did his part in trying not to be too obvious with his lovesick stares or want to be close to you, except recently he was failing.
He kept whispering in your ear at dinner that Jeokbong definitely liked you and was always staring at you. You had rolled your eyes at the thought. Even if he was, you were undoubtedly in love with So Mun and So Mun only. His fleeting jealousy was nothing you were concerned about.
Mun didn’t like you brushing it off, though, and kept pulling your chair just a little bit closer to his with his foot under the table. It took multiple tries from you to make him stop, especially when Hana had almost picked up on it.
It had been a close call, but you hadn’t been caught yet.
“Goodnight, baby.”
“Goodnight, Y/n.” So Mun smiled and you ruffled some of the curls on his head as he settled under the covers of his bed.
“I’ll go now, okay?” You crouched down, now being eye level with him. He sighed but nodded nonetheless. You kissed his forehead to sooth him before walking out of his room. You let your shoulders relax— another stressful day was coming to a close, another day where your relationship with Mun stayed a precious secret.
“What are you doing in So Mun’s room at 1 am?”
Hana’s voice made you jump slightly. You spun around, finding her leaning against the kitchen counter, munching on a candy bar and staring you down.
“What?”
“You,” She pointed, “In his room. It’s late.” She swallowed her chocolate bar, narrowing her eyes a bit at you.
“He was just- I was just, uh-” You cleared your throat awkwardly. This was bad. “He was just showing me one of his old comics he made when he was little.”
“At 1 am?” Hana raised her eyebrow, obviously not buying it.
“Yeah…” You walked to the kitchen, flashing the most innocent smile you could muster and opening the fridge to pour yourself a glass of iced tea.
“Well, goodnight, then.” She nodded, hand resting on your shoulder to give you a couple pats. Her eyes widened, “You kissed him in the closet!?”
You spat out your iced tea in utter shock. Fuck. Hana could read your memories. And you had completely forgotten about that.
“No!” You yelled defensively, “I didn’t- we- we weren’t-”
“Y/n, are you and So Mun-”
“Are we what?” So Mun had walked out of his room, hearing the commotion.
You straightened, eyes wide, trying to relay some sort of message to Mun that Hana was probably about to figure it all out. He didn’t get it, though, and walked towards you both. Hana only needed a second of her hand on Mun’s shoulder to get his memory of it.
She glanced at you and then back to Mun, eyes wide as they darted between you both. You were frozen, panic-stricken in your spot. So Mun was oblivious as always, trying to figure out why you and Hana were acting so weird.
“We need a team meeting to discuss this.” Hana proclaimed.
“What?”
“What?”
You and Mun asked in unison, turning to the other at the same time as if you were synchronised robots. Hana huffed at the fact that you two were still feigning innocence. She quickly knocked on the other counters’ doors, stirring the drowsy adults.
After a couple minutes, they were all gathered around the kitchen table. Jeokbong was rubbing the sleep from his eye, while Motak kept asking what was going on, and Ms. Chu was ready to get the car to catch an evil spirit at any minute.
“Two of our counters have been hiding something from us, with no regard to how we feel about it or how it might hurt our feelings.” Hana started, a pointed gaze on you and Mun who sat next to each other, nervously sweating at the situation. By the time Hana had gone to get the other counters, you had filled So Mun in on everything and he was now as panicked as you, if not more.
“What? What is it?” Jeokbong asked anxiously.
“Mun and Y/n… are dating.”
The room practically exploded with shouts and questions. If any of the counters were tired before, they were definitely awake now. The commotion was frankly impressive.
You had expected teasing, yes. But you had never expected it to be such a big deal. The two aces of the team suddenly being revealed to be seeing each other was quite a shock, though. Especially since no one had even suspected it until now.
“You’re dating Mun?” Motak asked for clarification, and you nodded quietly. “All this time, Jeokbong didn’t even have a chance?”
“W-What? No! No! I-I never liked Y-Y/n, don’t misunderstand!!” Jeokbong started defending immediately, but you barely paid attention.
Mun turned to you, whispering an “I told you” with a small frown. You wanted to kiss the pout right off his face, and you would’ve if you weren’t still surrounded by the rest of the team that were still throwing around question after question— none of which was being answered.
“How long has this been going on?” Ms. Chu asked.
“I never thought Mun could pull a girl like Y/n.” Hana teased.
“Hey-” Mun defended.
“Guys, stop. Yes, I’m dating Mun, we’ve been dating for months." You weren’t sure why, but you ended up laughing. Even with the chaos that had ensued as soon as the secret got out, it was relieving that you didn’t have to hide it anymore.
You didn’t have to hide the fact that you were in love with So Mun.
You could hug him whenever you wanted. You could kiss him whenever you felt like it. You could go on dates without having to pretend to be going on errands or missions. You could be like a normal couple. You felt exhilarated by the thought.
So Mun nodded at your statement and wrapped his arm around your shoulder to pull you towards him, “Y/n’s my girl… got that Jeokbong?”
Jeokbong looked utterly afraid for his life which made you crack up. Of course you knew that Mun was only being jokingly possessive of you, but the look on Jeokbong’s face was priceless, and soon the whole table was laughing.
“Now that we have that all cleared up, I think it’s best that we all get back to bed. It’s late for the kids and the grown-ups.” Ms. Chu told everyone.
“We’re not kids,” you complained.
“Sure you aren’t. You babies.” Ms. Chu smiled, patting your shoulder.
“If you two ever break up it’s gonna be awful for the team. So don’t you dare break up.” Hana warned you both.
“Don’t worry. We don’t plan to.” So Mun said confidently, making your cheeks flush.
“C-congratulations on your relationship.” Jeokbong stuttered quietly as he made his way back to his room.
“Thanks Jeokbong!” You replied cheerily.
“Yeah, thanks.” Mun smiled, kissing your forehead to intentionally emphasize it to him.
“You know that wasn’t necessary.” You scolded him.
“How else is he supposed to get the message?” So Mun frowned.
“We already told-” You couldn’t even finish your sentence before Mun’s lips were on yours, kissing you in the now empty room. You raised an eyebrow at him when you pulled away, “You just want an extra excuse to kiss me, don’t you?”
“...Maybe.”

7 minutes - Somun x fem!reader 18+
Summary: you finally decide to go to your first house party after a long while of not going out. you find yourself playing spin the bottle with strangers, and eventually being face to face with Somun in a dark closet for a round of 7 minutes in heaven.
Warnings: Drinking, smoking, drunk sexual encounters
Genre/type: Smut, Playboy!somun, one shot, frat party
Other: rushed ending because I'm tired </3, didn't proof read
WC: 1.2k
this was requested! <3
You look in the mirror once more and push your hair back. “Y/N, if you keep staring at yourself we’re never gonna get out of here.” Hana says from across the small apartment. You pout, “I just want to look good! I haven’t been to a house party since high school.” Hana quietly laughs and pats your back. “You look fine. Let’s go.” You walk over to your bed and grab you jacket and purse, soon following Hana out of the door.
You’ve never been the get out of the house type. You’d much rather be at home but since Hana is your best friend, you agreed. Hana is the quiet and calm type, but once she gets a few drinks in her, she’s a completely different person. Which is contradictory to her standoffish self.
You and Hana reach the small home and see large groups of people standing in line to enter. Once you reach the door, you walk inside and are immediately hit with the smell of alcohol and cigarettes. You take a deep breath, secretly loving this smell, it takes you back to your old party days in high school.
“Ah! Y/N! Hana!” you hear a male voice call out. You both look and see DoHwi, Hana’s boyfriend, or what she calls, her “situationship”
He greets you both with a hug and gives Hana a kiss on her cheek. You can definitely tell he’s drunk. Him and Hana never display any kind of PDA unless one of them is drunk. Hana giggles and shrugs her shoulders in shyness. You gag and he jokingly punches you. You all laugh as he quickly grabs Hana’s arm and drags her into the crowd. “Wait-” you say until you realize they’re both already gone. You whine and make your way towards the plastic table where bottles of beer are laid out.
You grab yourself a beer and start wandering around the house. After about 15 minutes of wandering, you decide to sit down. “Ugh… Why did I even come here.” you think to yourself until you feel a presence standing above you. “We’re playing spin the bottle. Wanna join?” a voice says in front of you. You look up and see a man with dark hair, dark almond shaped eyes and plump lips. You stare at him for a second and think to yourself for a moment. “Why not… I don’t think I’ve played since I was 17, let alone kiss anyone.” He cocks his eyebrow, “So?” You nod yes and stand up to follow him into another room, but this one is less crowded. You step in and count about 11 people. He shuts the door and walks to sit in the circle. You hesitate, but follow the strange man to the circle.
About 25 minutes have passed. You have kissed about 5 people and have taken about 3 shots. During this, you learned that the strange man's name is Somun. You haven’t had your turn to kiss him yet, though you were yearning to. Now that you think about it, Somun hasn’t kissed anyone, he’s just been taking shots.
“Who’s down to do 7 minutes in heaven for our last round?” Somun says, looking directly at you. You pretend not to notice and say nothing. “That sounds like fun! I hope it lands on me!” the girl sitting next to you says. Somun looks around the circle for everyone's approval and looks at you, waiting for your response. You nod a yes and Somun smiles, vigorously spinning the bottle. It spun for what felt like 5 minutes, but in reality was about 8 seconds. You close your eyes and just let the bottle spin. Suddenly the whole circle gasps and swoons. “Ugh, why'd it have to be her!” the girl next to you says in an annoying pout. “Wow, you got someone new, Somun! How lucky.” a male voice calls out. You slowly peek your eyes open and there lays the top of the bottle, pointing directly towards you. Your eyes widen and you look at Somun. He sits there with a smirk on his face, “Shall we?” he says, holding his hand out. The circle swoons again and you take his hand, getting up and heading towards the small closet. “I’ll set a timer!” someone shouts out. “No need.” Somun says, shutting the closet door behind you two.
You can’t tell if it’s because you’re drunk or if Somun’s cockiness is really attractive. You two stand in the middle of the closet, not saying a word. The smell of alcohol growing stronger each second. Somun speaks up, “Why’d you drink so much? Were you waiting to kiss me?” you look at the floor in a blush and Somun grabs your chin and tilts your head so that you two are looking at each other. “Not gonna answer my question?” he asks. Before you are able to speak up, he slams you against the door, pressing his lips against yours. You kiss him back passionately. He pushes his knee between your legs, while deepening the kiss. You let out a light moan and continue to kiss him. He pushes your hair behind your ear and you grab a handful of his hair and tug. Somun lets out a low grunt and pulls away. You two catch your breath from your 5 minute make out session. You feel your legs shaking with desperation and look at Somun. He lets out that cocky smirk that you can’t get enough of, “Looks like time is almost up sweetheart.” You look down and he grabs your face once more, smashing his lips onto yours for the last time.
You hear banging on the door, “Time’s up!” a voice yells out and yanks the door open. You squint at the sudden light and breath out. Everyone in the room stares at you and Somun and then starts bursting out laughing. “Look at his hair!” his friend calls out. You turn around and see that Somun’s hair is completely messed up, along with his flushing red face. You turn around and try to fix it in a hurry. He laughs and drops his head down. “You’re a good kisser, Y/N. Let’s do this again sometime.” He then walks past you and exits the room, while the circle forms again and the group starts playing again. You look at the door in disbelief; he’s such a douche, but for some reason you like it.
You meet Hana at the door. “Where’s Dohwi?” you say through slurred speech. “He has to be at the piano academy tomorrow morning, so he left early.” she says. You nod your head slowly. “We should probably head home. You’re drunk and your hair is a mess. And why are your legs shaking?” she says in genuine concern. You say nothing and just nod again. Hana laughs and you two make your way back to your apartment.
While taking your clothes off to get ready to shower, you notice a slip of paper fall out of your pocket. You drunking-ly bend over and look at the blurry paper.
“Sorry for the rush. Let’s hang out again :) - Somun.” the note reads, with a number written at the bottom.

MISS ME?
genre. fluff. warnings. general uncanny counter stuff. spoilers (obv). pairing. so mun x counter!reader. wc. 983. a/n. requested by anon. this is probably rly shitty cause im questioning my own writing skills everyday atp. but yay im finally writing for uncanny counter!!
You weren’t usually worried about Mun. He was the ace of the team, one of the strongest, smartest, most stable counters you had ever met. He went into every mission determined to catch the evil spirit and he rarely failed.
But usually you were right beside him while he did it. Being there and fighting with him let you make sure he was okay— it allowed you a sense of security knowing that you could protect him if he needed it. But you weren’t on the mission right now and it was starting to really freak you out.
You were prepared to go fight the evil spirit with the rest of the team as soon as Hana had spotted it, but you had sustained serious injuries from the last level 3 evil spirit the day before that even Ms. Chu wasn’t able to completely heal.
You knew your boyfriend only did it out of worry and care and love for you— making you stay behind on the mission, promising that he and the rest of the team would be okay and back by your side soon, encouraging you to rest up and not worry about him. But how could you possibly do that? He was the only thing on your mind from the second he left.
At first you thought of how he must be having some fun kicking some evil spirit’s ass. He probably looked really good while doing it, too. With his sarcastic comments and little celebrations whenever he did something that looked like it should be out of a superhero movie. He was adorable on and off the battlefield.
But as the hours went on and he still wasn’t back, your thoughts became more worried. What if the evil spirit was actually a level 3? What if Hana had seen wrong? What if he was injured or got separated from the team? There were too many variables in these types of fights. Every day, Mun and the team put their lives at stake to catch another evil spirit, and every success came with struggles. It was rewarding and so so worth it, but the risk was immense.
You could see it just by looking at yourself. How you still felt dizzy and lightheaded if you even stood up too quickly. How your body still ached even after Ms. Chu healing all your big injuries - stitching your body back together from its broken, bruised, and bleeding state. You got worried whenever Mun got so much as a scratch on him. What if he came back seriously injured?
On top of the obvious concerns about his safety the longer the night went on, you realized it had been storming for at least 20 minutes. You hoped the fight was taking place somewhere sheltered. The tracksuits were pretty good at keeping you warm, but amidst a heavy storm in the middle of the night, it wouldn’t be enough.
You felt pitiful, sitting there on your bed wrapped in a blanket when all you could do was wait. Worrying as much as you did for Mun was almost laughable. He was more than capable of taking care of himself. Ever since Cheongsin, he had only improved, and now could use his psychokinesis to its full potential.
He could beat every single counter on the team in training (except on the occasions were he purposefully let you win). A level 2 shouldn’t be too hard for him, right? Right. You needed to stop worrying so much about your boyfriend. He would come back. He always did.
And it seemed the conclusion to your hours of thinking brought just that. You heard the door to the noodle shop open, the bells jingling and loud sighs echoing through the building. You smiled. From their voices, nobody seemed particularly hurt.
“Unnie’s gang did it again.” Motak could be heard, and you could clearly picture his satisfied grin along with Ms. Chu’s scoff.
“You’re one to celebrate when you almost screwed up the entire mission. So Mun did most of the work.” Hana patted Mun firmly on the back.
“I’ll go check up on Y/n. She’s probably worried about me. Good work, guys.” Mun was quick to dismiss himself from the rest of the group and hurry up the stairs earning teasing comments about how lovesick he was.
“Baby,” He called even before he had opened the door, taking his place right next to you as fast as he could. “Miss me?”
“No, of course not.” You lied, eyes and elated smile giving you away. “You’re all wet.” You mumbled, running a hand through his soaked hair.
“I tried to ask the evil spirit to stop fighting and go to the closest abandoned building, but he didn’t want to.” Mun laughed with a shrug.
“Just a second-” You stood up to grab a towel from the bathroom, holding it over your hands and drying Mun’s hair as if he was a small child.
“I can do it myself, you know?” He complained with his eyes closed.
“I know, but I wanted to.”
“Cause you missed me?”
“Maybe just a little?”
“I bet you were thinking about me the entire time I was gone.” He insisted.
“So what if I was?” You asked, giving his hair one last pat with the towel and dropping it on the floor.
“Then I would tell you that I love you and probably kiss you?” He whispered, sneaking his arms around your waist and pulling you down on top of his lap smoothly. You flushed, your cheeks turning a bright red. Mun just laughed, cupping one of your cheeks with his hand.
“Shut up.” You mumbled, trying to think of anything other than your boyfriend at the current moment.
“I love you.” As soon as the words flowed out of his mouth, his lips reached yours in a kiss just like he said.

DOODLES
genre. fluff. warnings. kissing. pairing. so mun x fem!reader. wc. 900.
“No peeking!” So Mun scolds, holding his sketchbook even tighter to his chest to make sure there was no way you would be able to glance at his sketch. You huff in defeat and go back to your own drawing which is looking more and more lopsided as you keep trying to capture Mun’s perfectly sharp jawline and fail.
“I’m butchering your handsome face, just so you know.” You mumble, grabbing your eraser for the hundredth time. At this point the drawing looked more smudged than legible and you were close to giving up.
“Good thing you have the real deal right here, then.” Mun replies smoothly, and you glare at him from over your sketchbook making him giggle.
You wonder how he hasn’t even touched his eraser once as you watch him still making little details on his drawing with ease. You know he’s been drawing his whole life and his drawing skills are on par with his fighting skills, but you know he hasn’t had much time to draw apart from composition sketches. You were glad you suggested doing this doodling session with him. It was cosy and relaxing and definitely what you both needed to get your mind off the stress of everything.
You’ve never had anyone draw you before, but you’re glad the first one to do it is your boyfriend. He’s only been drawing for 10 minutes, but you’re starting to get a little impatient to see the results, and so you attempt at sneaking a peek again.
“I said no peeking.” He stops you without even looking, catching your hand in midair before it can reach his sketchbook.
“When will you be done with it?” You ask, and So Mun hums in response. “Baby.” You whine.
“I’m almost done.” He looks up to smile at you before resuming his pencilling. “Are you done yours?”
“I guess… It’s not getting any better so I decided to just leave it.”
“Can I see?” Mun peers over to take a glance and you hand him the open sketchbook. “Aww, you added a heart.” He smiles widely and you swear you can practically see his eyes sparkle.
“It’s so bad, though.” You mutter, cringing at the way you had messed up his proportions.
“I think it’s cute.” Mun smiles again.
“I get to see yours now, right?”
He nods and hands you the sketchbook finally, and your eyes land on the drawing. Your breath is quite literally taken away and you spend the first few minutes just staring at it, taking in every detail, every stroke of pencil. And a warm sense of comfort comes with how you just know that every mark of that pencil was created with so much love behind it. You can feel it.
“So…?” So Mun asks expectantly, blinking at you.
You open your mouth to give him a response, but then pause as the wind slightly blows the page of the sketchbook, giving you a peek of more drawings on the previous page. Curiosity takes over and you flip it, revealing an entire spread of you.
There’s a small drawing of you sipping a bubble tea, and you recognize the exact day it’s from given your outfit. You had stolen So Mun’s leather jacket on your lunch date that day, and he had even drawn in the little hair clip that you had worn.
Looking a little lower on the page were countless more drawings. One of you blowing a kiss, you with a kitten, several of you just smiling, and even one of you sleeping which you immediately suspected he had drawn while you actually had fallen asleep.
“Were you ever going to show me these?” You ask, blinking back tears because they’re all so beautiful and you adore each and every one of them.
Mun panics, “I- I wasn’t not going to show these to you?” His response sounds like he’s questioning the fact himself and you tsk quietly, flipping over to the next page only to find even more drawings.
“How many times have you drawn me without my knowledge?” You question, utterly bewildered at just how many drawings there are. With every page you flip, there are more, and soon you discover that the entire sketchbook is filled with just you.
“If you weren’t my boyfriend this would be so creepy, you know?”
“Do you think it’s creepy?” Mun asks.
“No, it’s probably the cutest shit anyone has ever done for me.” You say in a complaining tone which makes So Mun laugh. You tackle him in a hug, kissing his cheek as many times as you can before he pulls you off of him in a fit of giggles.
“I’m glad you like them because to be honest it’s become a stress reliever to draw you.” Mun admits, melting your heart easily.
“You’d better show me next time, or I’m going to go snooping through your stuff just to find your sketchbook.” You threaten and So Mun nods with a smile before reaching over to kiss you.
He always kissed you softly, like you would break if he put too much pressure into it. Now was no different as his plush lips moved against yours, lifting up into a smile when you pull away. And his smile is so infectious and filled with so much love that you can’t help but to smile back.

I NEED YOU
genre. fighting/violence. a lil angst. lots of fluff at the end. can be read as a continuation to nosebleeds. warnings. blood. somewhat graphic fight scenes(?). crying. spoilers for the uncanny counter s2 ep 3-4.pairing. so mun x counter!reader. wc. 2.5k. a/n. requested by anon!
Jeokbong was trying his best, you knew he was. But everyone was stressed and it would be really nice if he was able to get a grip on his ability. You couldn’t lie that you were getting annoyed. There were 2 evil spirits to deal with and the team had already split up. Jeokbong’s constant mixed signals were causing stress to the whole team. You sat in between Mun and Hana, watching as Jeokbong tried to sniff out the window to instruct where the evil spirit was.
“Hey, you punk. What’s the matter with you? You’re distracting me.” Motak complained, and Jeokbong quickly replied with a shake of his head.
“It’s nothing.”
“It’s got to be something if you keep sticking your nose out the window.” You muttered under your breath, dismissing the warning look your boyfriend gave you.
“Jeokbong. You have something to say, right?” So Mun asked, in a more patient and nice tone compared to your comment.
“What?” Jeokbong seemed hesitant.
“It’s okay. Feel free to say it. It’s only natural for your new power to be unstable.” Mun reassured, and you wondered how your boyfriend managed to be so sweet all the time.
Jeokbong hesitated for a second longer before turning to face Mun, “To be honest, the smell seems worse towards the west.” He stuttered.
“West?” Motak echoed, “That’s towards Mount Dongin. Wasn’t that a level one?”
“Yes. The art museum had a level one. The reeds had a level three.” Hana clarified.
“Na Jeokbong, stop making us anxious.” Motak said seriously.
“T-that’s why I didn’t want to say anything. But this smell keeps-” He stammered, sniffing aggressively. You exchanged looks with Mun, both of you becoming more concerned.
“This won’t do. Ms. Chu.” Mun started talking through his earpiece, “Ms. Chu? Ms. Chu!”
“Mun?” Your eyes were wide and you placed a hand on his shoulder.
He turned to you, “I can’t get in touch.” The tension in the car was rising. You and Motak were already stressed by Jeokbong, and Mun seemed to be getting anxious from not being able to reach Ms. Chu, now. Hana was always good at keeping calm, but you saw her clench her fist— she was feeling uneasy too.
“Na Jeokbong, get it straight!” Motak yelled.
“What?”
“Which one’s the stronger one?”
“I-” Jeokbong almost seemed close to tears, feeling the pressure of a mission for the first time. “I think it’s the one at the museum. Wait. Is it the one in the reeds?” He stumbled over his words, sniffing and trying to differentiate the two.
Motak gripped the steering wheel tighter, jaw clenched. You fisted pieces of fabric from your tracksuit pants into your palms, which only Mun seemed to notice. He placed his hand on top of yours in an attempt to ease your stress, fingers brushing over yours until they laced together.
“I’m sorry. I don’t know!” Jeokbong cried, “I really don’t know.”
“We have no choice.” Hana interrupted, “Jeokbong and I will go to the reeds.”
“I’ll go too.” You said suddenly, “It’s a level three. You can’t take that all by yourself and this is Jeokbong’s first mission.”
“Y/n, are you sure?” Mun whispered, his grip on your hand getting noticeably tighter.
“We’ll be fine. Just go to the museum with Motak.” You exchanged nods with Hana and Motak stomped on the gas.
As soon as you arrived at the reeds, you and Hana were sprinting and Jeokbong struggled to keep up. You made it to a small clearing in the centre of the field, coming to an abrupt halt when you saw a man lying on the ground. His throat was slit.
“The evil spirit is dead?” Hana asked hollowly.
“That can’t be it.” There was no way you came all the way here just for the evil spirit to have killed itself.
“What? Hold on.” Jeokbong exclaimed, sniffing the air frantically. “The smell. The smell!” He sounded panicked.
“What about the smell?!” You shouted.
“It’s… It’s getting closer.” He stuttered.
“Which direction?” Hana demanded.
Jeokbong turned around abruptly, “Over there! No, wait!”
“Jeokbong!” You urged, eyes darting around in circles, expecting the evil spirit to appear from any direction.
“Jeokbong, calm down.” Hana instructed.
“Hold on! It’s getting closer!” He yelped, stammering through his sentence, “Hold on! I think it’s coming from over there! It’s getting closer! Where is it?”
You didn’t even see the evil spirit coming before Hana fell to the ground. She got up as quickly as she fell, her face having been scratched by what looked like claws.
“Where is it?” You pressured Jeokbong, preparing to freeze time once you knew the direction it was in.
“What?” Jeokbong stuttered in reply.
“Where is the evil spirit!?” You shouted at him. “I can get 30 seconds maybe but I need to know where it is!”
“The smell keeps moving!” Jeokbong complained, eyes clamped shut.
“Where?!”
“At 2 o’clock!” Jeokbong finally exclaimed, and you turned swiftly, catching the evil spirit right as she was about to claw at you, successfully kicking her to the ground. It gave you and Hana enough time to see the direction where the evil spirit ran and you both charged after it.
“I’ll freeze so you can land a hit!” You shouted, focusing your energy enough to prepare as soon as the evil spirit was in view again.
“Hana? Y/n! Hana!” You could hear Jeokbong’s cries from a distance and in the corner of your eye you saw a flash of white hair. You cursed and started running in the direction of Jeokbong’s voice.
“Y/n!! Hana!!”
You froze time, giving yourself some extra seconds to sprint back to Jeokbong and get there just before the evil spirit could reach him and attack. Manipulating time took almost all your concentration, especially if you wanted it to stay stalled. In order for you to land a punch to the evil spirit, you couldn’t keep time frozen. You had no choice but to unfreeze time as you landed one satisfying blow to her face, knocking her to the ground.
By this point, you were separated from the other two. It was just you and the evil spirit. You did your best to block every swing of her arm, the clawed knuckle gloves that she was wearing a scary addition to her punches. But, no matter how many times you stopped time, landing punches and kicks, the evil spirit was able to land more.
You were able to keep fighting despite the dozens of hits she got on you, but after one hard punch to your stomach— her claws digging into the flesh of your stomach and ripping through— you fell to the ground, allowing enough time for the evil spirit to get away. You coughed up blood, clutching at your stomach where the wound was.
You stumbled, trying to get back up on your feet. The fight wasn’t over until the evil spirit was summoned, even if you died trying. As soon as you were standing again, you got knocked back to the ground with scratches to your legs and side. You groaned in pain. She was too fast, speeding through the reeds and landing blows before you could even register where she had come from.
There was no way you would be able to beat her on your own and in your current state, so you decided on a different strategy. You focused all of your remaining energy on stopping time for you and the evil spirit, hoping that it would allow Hana enough extra time to find you.
It must’ve only taken a minute or two for Hana to find you, but it felt longer. You were strained trying to keep time frozen as you could feel the evil spirit resisting. You were exhausted and it was sucking more of your energy to keep time stable. As soon as you saw Hana in view, you collapsed, no longer trying to keep up your time manipulation. You vaguely heard their fight in the distance before you completely blacked out.
//
So Mun was more than panicked when he didn’t see you in Yung. He had an intense battle of his own, even taking a bullet to save Mr. Choi, but you were always his main concern. He needed to know if you were okay. At the soonest appropriate moment to do so while still in Yung, he took Hana aside.
“Where’s Y/n?”
Hana sighed, running a hand through her hair, “She took the worst of it. She was already passed out by the time I really got a solid blow on the evil spirit.”
“What?” Mun’s voice was quiet as his breath was caught in his throat. You had passed out?
“She must’ve tried to fight the evil spirit by herself. She stopped time in order for me to get there in time.” Hana explained the rest of it, sympathy in her eyes as she watched Mun’s face grow more worried and panicked.
“How was she when you came to Yung? Is she okay? Is she still hurt?” A flurry of questions escaped from Mun’s mouth.
“I wanted to wait until Ms. Chu could have a look at her. I didn’t think Ms. Chu would already be in Yung or I would have done a better job at patching her up before we left.”
“I have to go back. I’ll take care of her until Ms. Chu can get there.” He told Hana impatiently. As soon as she nodded, he transported back, opening his eyes with a start.
He rushed to your room where he found you still passed out, lying on your bed. Tears welled in his eyes almost instantaneously. He knew you would be okay, you had to be okay. He didn’t know what he would do without you, and everytime you got hurt he was reminded of the risk of being a counter. If he lost you, he wasn’t sure what he might do. He always felt painfully mad and saddened seeing you in any sort of pain.
So Mun had always felt very deeply, and his emotions for you were delicate. He was happy when you were happy, sad when you were sad, pained when he saw you in pain. Just seeing you lying there with blood stained clothes felt as if he had just been delivered a thousand blows.
He carefully sat down on the edge of your bed, eyes tracing over your figure slowly. He reached for your hand and gently threaded his fingers with yours. He swallowed an uncomfortable lump in his throat when you couldn’t squeeze his hand like you always did.
He loved holding your hand, loved how it fit so perfectly in his, loved how you could have a communication just by holding hands. He would squeeze your hand gently as if to say “I love you” and you would squeeze back, giving your own answer.
So Mun didn’t mind the dried blood that coated your fingers or the wet tears that fell down his cheeks. He didn’t bother to wipe either of them. He didn’t want to leave your side. He knew you would wake up soon— you had to.
The rest of the team came back from Yung before you woke up. Ms. Chu joined Mun by your side and healed you with the help of his territory. But you still didn’t wake up.
“Shouldn’t she be awake by now? Is she really okay, Ms. Chu?” So Mun asked, never leaving your side and never letting go of your hand.
“She’ll wake up, So Mun. Give her time, she’s probably exhausted. As for injuries, there was nothing too serious. She’ll be perfectly fine when she wakes up.” Ms. Chu reassured, patting Mun on the back as she left the room.
“Hey,” So Mun’s voice was soft, “You really scared me, you know?” He smiled as best he could, watching your sleeping face. How did you manage to still look pretty with all those bruises and cuts? “I know you don’t like it when I get hurt… You know I feel the same way, right? I wish I never had to see you like this, but it’s pretty unavoidable, isn’t it?” He laughed a little, trying to make fun of the situation but he was struggling.
There was a long pause as Mun tried to find the right words, “I need you. I don’t think I can live without you anymore. No… I know I can’t live without you. You won’t leave me, right? I need you.
“It’s funny how people can miss someone who’s right in front of them, but I guess that’s how I feel right now. It’s only been a few hours but I miss you so much. I miss your hugs and your kisses. I miss your smile. I don’t think I’ve told you enough how pretty your smile is. But you probably already know, don’t you? Everything about you is pretty.”
He sighed. He had been talking to you for almost 2 hours and it was late now. He was starting to get tired, though he didn’t want to admit it. He wasn’t sure if he’d be able to sleep until you woke up. He decided he would stop talking and at least close his eyes. You wouldn’t hear what he was saying anyway, and it only made him emotional saying all these things out loud. He had been mindlessly tracing his thumb in little circles on your hand while speaking, and he gave it another squeeze.
He felt you squeeze back. It was very soft, very faint, but it was there and it was you.
All the tiredness that he had felt for the past hour left his body and he opened his eyes again. You blinked at him once… twice… thrice. He almost felt like crying again but he held it in, instead leaning forward to cup your cheek.
“Hi.” You mumbled, not sure what else to say.
“Hi.” So Mun laughed, “How are you feeling?”
“I’m okay. Are you?”
He nodded, “Just took a bullet to my arm, nothing much…”
“Oh my god, please tell me you’re joking.” You said, sitting up.
“Not really… But I’m really fine. Those evil spirits are no joke, huh?”
“She was so fast that we couldn’t even keep track of her in those reeds.” You groaned, “Next time I go up against her, I am fighting in a cleared area.”
So Mun smiled, “I’m glad you’re awake. I was starting to think you were going to sleep forever.”
“Who do you take me for? Sleeping beauty?” You both laughed.
“You could pass as sleeping beauty. Then I get to be your prince, right?” He asked, eyes shining with an excitement he couldn’t hide.
“You’re such a dork. Come here.”
So Mun gladly cuddled close to you, more than happy to be back in your arms. He kissed your forehead, and then your cheek, and when you turned your face towards him, he kissed your lips. The two of you stayed like that for a long time, not talking unless in soft murmurs— though whatever discussion you were having always got interrupted by Mun sneaking in another kiss. You stayed in his arms until you both drifted off to sleep, which always came easily whenever you were close to him.

+1 CUTENESS
genre. fluff warnings. none. pairing. so mun x fem!reader. wc. 612. a/n. from this req by @blue-jisungs!!
“What are you doing?”
“Shh, just focus on the movie.” You smiled, turning So Mun’s head to look back at the TV screen. You were situated in his lap, but instead of paying attention to the movie currently playing, you were more engrossed in Mun’s curly hair.
You had probably spent dozens of hours playing with it, just running your fingers through the soft curls. But you could never get over it. So Mun was just so pretty, and that especially included his hair. It smelled like his shampoo and framed his face so perfectly. You had no idea how it was so soft all the time— maybe it was a counter thing?
So Mun had let you put his hair in a ponytail in the past, and even braid it when you begged him enough, but today you had a different plan. You had been recently trying different hair accessories and had impulsively bought a pack of little colourful butterfly clips. You couldn’t lie and say that your intention of this movie night had been to actually watch the movie— no, you were desperate to see how cute Mun would look with colourful clips in his hair.
You had already snuck one into his hair, almost catching his attention. But he seemed completely relaxed now, and utterly unaware of your masterplan. You gently clipped a blue butterfly to one of his curls, squinting to see what the best placement for a pink one would be.
“Y/n.”
“Hm?”
“You’re not even paying attention to the movie anymore.” So Mun pointed out, a small pout forming on his face.
“I was!” You insisted.
Mun raised an eyebrow, “Really? What’s the last thing that happened?”
Ah, so this is where he would catch you in your act…
“Okay, maybe I wasn’t paying full attention to it.” You mumbled.
So Mun giggled, “You could’ve just said if you weren’t interested in watching.”
“Well, it’s not that I’m uninterested in watching, but…”
“But?”
You held out your hand, one red and one yellow butterfly clip still resting in your palm, the last two that you hadn’t been able to sneak into his hair in time.
“I got these last week, but everything always looks better on you than it does on me, so…” You trailed off, giving him a guilty smile. He stared at you for a few seconds before raking a hand up to his hair and feeling around for the clips.
“Cute.” He whispered.
Minutes later, the movie had been turned off and the lights turned back on (which helped immensely for figuring out the proper placement of the butterflies). So Mun sat across from you as you took out the awkwardly placed clips and repositioned them to better spots. You couldn’t help but blush as you did it— Mun seemed to be so content to stare at you as you worked.
“Stop staring.” You muttered.
A smile crept onto his face, “But I like you.”
“Is that why you’re letting me put clips in your hair?” You asked with flushed cheeks, placing the last butterfly in his hair as he hummed approvingly. “All done.” You grabbed your hand mirror and held it up for him to look.
He giggled, “I look ridiculous.”
“You look cute!” You countered, but stopped when you caught Mun’s gaze again. “Why are you staring again? I feel self-conscious.” You complained half-jokingly.
“I’m trying to see who’s cuter.” He said simply, eyes squinting between you and the mirror.
“You have plus 1 cuteness for the clips, but who wins?”
“You.”
Your cheeks turned a brighter shade of pink at the comment, “Why?”
“Plus 3 cuteness for the blush.”

CHEER UP
genre. hurt/comfort. warnings. crying. pairing. so mun x fem!reader. wc. 1.7k. a/n. requested by @tempobaekh, here!!
Stupid, stupid, stupid. Your thoughts were raging in your head as you scrambled to finish the last of the work before you were finally done with your shift. Your boss was stupid. Your customers were stupid. Your job was stupid. You loved your job usually, but now it was really starting to tire you out.
Summer was the worst season for the job as many new people came in as well as the regulars. You adored your regular customers and they loved you as well, but the newcomers were usually from out of town and self centred. They didn’t seem to acknowledge that the person working for them was a human as well. You could only take so much before you broke down.
Apart from that, your least favourite coworker had been promoted to manager after the old manager retired. It had been a competition between you and them, and they didn’t miss a single chance to rub it in your face that they were “better” than you at the job. You had thought about quitting many, many times, but you couldn’t risk losing this job. You were just too worn down to manage right now.
It would get better.
Everything eventually gets better.
Things would be a lot better if you could see your boyfriend right about now. As you stepped out of your workplace, you ran a hand through your hair, weighing the odds that So Mun was actually home or not. Even if he was, what if he had to rush out?
You hadn’t seen his face in… a week? 2 weeks? More than that? It was easy to lose track because the days kept mushing together into one neverending routine. There had been no break for days. It was always wake up, go to work, go home, sleep, repeat.
All you knew was that So Mun was dealing with a difficult situation. He said he couldn’t tell you in detail. That didn’t help either, because you knew his job was dangerous, and a “difficult situation” seemed like one of the most dangerous there could be. Of course, you were worried about him. Maybe that was part of the reason work had been especially tiring.
You couldn’t help but brood over whether your boyfriend was safe. You hated being kept in the dark about things, especially when it came to the people you loved. But it was something you had to get used to when dating So Mun. He constantly told you that it would only be worse if you knew, and you trusted him.
So Mun’s job as a counter still confused you. He had finally told you what his job was after months of dating and too many sudden disappearances for you to ignore. Apparently, he wasn’t supposed to tell you and got another warning from the “people in Yung”. Whoever those people were, you weren’t sure, but you had been highly offended at the thought. You still asked occasionally about his work, but you never pried about the details. Whenever Mun tried to explain it to you, you only got more confused. All you needed to ask was if he was okay. That was enough for you.
You had stopped by the new base spot almost every day this week just to check if he might be there. It was empty every time, which was even more worrying. Maybe your timing was just bad.
Though you hadn’t heard a word more from him even over text, you started driving towards the base anyway. It didn’t hurt to check, and you were desperate to see him even if there was a slim chance. You had been fighting back tears all day— the build up from stress and loneliness and worrying was very apparent.
When you opened the door to the building, it was quiet. You had almost accepted the fact that he wasn’t home and turned around to go back when you heard voices from the kitchen. You perked up at the sound, tears starting to build on your waterline at maybe finally being able to see So Mun again.
You walked into the kitchen, finding the other counters seated around the table eating noodles. Hana noticed you first and looked up, smiling when she saw you.
“So Mun is in his room.” She nodded her head towards the hallway and you thanked her. You were practically running down the hallway once you had confirmation that he was there.
“She looked like she was close to tears.” Hana muttered, bringing her chopsticks back to her mouth to slurp more noodles.
“She probably missed So Mun. Those two are inseparable.” Ms. Chu nodded.
You knocked on his bedroom door, sniffling a bit to hold back the tears. You would probably break the second you saw his face, but for now you were still in view of the other counters and it would be embarrassing to let it out now.
“Yes?” So Mun’s voice called from the other side of the door, sounding as clear and lovely as ever. Just the sound made your heart leap.
So Mun’s eyes lit up the moment he saw you, and you were pretty sure it was one of the most precious sights in the world to you. You relished in that reaction every time it happened (which was almost every time So Mun saw you), and the fact that you were capable of causing pure joy to spread on his face didn’t help with your current tear problem.
You attempted to smile, forcing your lips up but they kept falling back down, and the first tears followed them, cascading down your cheeks like little streams of sorrow. You wanted to hug him and have him wrap his arms around you and hold you so tightly— tight enough that you would be shielded from the world and safe in his arms. That was the safest place in the entire world to you. In So Mun’s arms. You wanted to cling to him and not let him go after so long of being away from him. You wanted to cry it all out and forget the past weeks. You wanted to be close to him because you knew that no one else could ever cheer you up or make you forget the events of the past weeks as easily as he could.
So Mun dropped his sketchbook and pencil immediately and rushed to your side. The sight of your tears wasn’t uncommon, but he hated it every time he saw you in pain.
“Hey,” He whispered, cupping your cheek and swiping his thumb to wipe away the tears. He cradled your head, bringing it to his chest and wrapping one of his arms around your figure, holding you tightly, safely. He pushed the door closed with his other arm, before letting it slip around your waist to pull you even closer to him.
“Why are you sad, baby?” He frowned, talking in small mumbles to relax you. “Did you miss me? Did you have a bad day? Do I need to go beat someone up?” He said it all sincerely, even the last comment was completely serious. When it was concerning you, So Mun was willing to go to the ends of the earth to make you happy.
You could only sob in response to him, fisting the fabric of his hoodie in your palms, leaning on him until you felt your knees buckle. He caught you as soon as he felt you falling.
“Careful- Aw, baby.” He cooed, holding you steady. He hoisted you up easily and carried you effortlessly to his bed, gently setting you down against the pillows so you wouldn’t be in danger of falling again. He tried to pull away, go get some water for you or possibly some chocolate, but you clung to him in an iron grip.
He didn’t try to get up again, knowing you wanted to be near him. He shifted so he was facing you, smiling gently and cupping your cheek. He wanted to comfort you as best as he could.
“I missed you.” He really had. There hadn’t been a day where he didn’t wish he could’ve been hugging you, kissing you, caring for you. You were the most precious person in the world to him.
“I missed you too.” You managed to mumble out before you wrapped yourself around him. You felt like a little turtle going into its shell as you curled up against So Mun. Your arms slipped around his waist, cuddling up to him in a fetal position. It was the most comfortable you had felt in weeks.
He wrapped his arms around you as well, stroking your back. He knew all you needed was some time. You’d calm down now that you were with him, and that was all that mattered. He started talking about his day— random lighthearted anecdotes that he knew would cheer you up. It didn’t take long for a smile to creep on your face hearing stories about kitchen disasters and Hana’s apparent love life.
“I know you’re smiling, baby.” So Mun laughed after a pause in his story. He could feel you curl up even more against his side and he knew you were trying to hide your smile. “Are you all cheered up?”
You sat up, Mun’s arms sliding down from your back to hold your waist. You pondered the question for a second before shaking your head, “Not completely cheered up.”
So Mun tilted his head, “Oh? What could cheer you up completely, then? I can’t stand to see my girlfriend sad for a second longer.” He coaxed.
“Hm, maybe… a kiss?” You suggested, barely able to hold back your smile.
Your boyfriend laughed, his hands pulling you closer ever so slightly, “I think we could arrange for that between the two of us.”
“It’s gonna be a hard task if you keep talking.” You giggled, holding a finger over his lips to keep him from making another comment and then bringing your lips to meet his. Even when you pulled away, So Mun littered more kisses on every surface of your face he could reach, the ticklish feeling making you laugh and squirm away from his touch. He smiled at the sound of your laughter.
“There we go. Now you’re cheered up.”

NOSEBLEEDS
genre. fluff. a little angst. could be read with the same counter!reader as miss me?warnings. blood and fighting mentioned. takes place directly in ep 3 of s2 so this is your spoiler warning. pairing. so mun x counter!reader. wc. 1.5k.
You wanted to lunge at the evil spirit as soon as he had the audacity to walk right into the noodle shop. But, instead, you kept to your seat next to a small kindergartener with pigtails tied with colourful hair ties. You pretended to listen intently to what she was telling you, but all you were really focusing on was your boyfriend who had sat down across from the evil spirit.
The air was tense, the pressure building up even physically as the building began to shake. Luckily, it didn’t seem like any of the kids were noticing what was going on. Ms. Chu had, though, and she gave you a serious look from across the room, clearly as concerned as you were about the situation.
There had never been anything like this before. You had never seen an evil spirit walk straight into the noodle shop. You could feel the energy in the air. Mun had summoned the territory and you could also sense him using his psychokinesis. The evil spirit could use it too, and that terrified you.
You couldn’t hear their conversation, so you focused on Mun’s face instead. You were usually pretty good at reading his facial expressions. You watched his eyebrows furrow and his eye twitch. He was using a lot of his power, and you could only guess that the evil spirit was matching it.
They were having a mind battle.
You had tried to learn psychokinesis from Mun’s group lessons. You weren’t as good as Hana, but you could lift most small objects with ease after a couple weeks of training. Your specialty was time manipulation. On a good day and with the help of Mun’s territory, you could freeze time for up to 5 minutes. It was strenuous, though. Intensely strenuous. When you had first begun you could barely manage 5 seconds, but with ample training you started to improve.
You thought about freezing time now, but you were hesitant. The evil spirit didn’t look like he came here to fight, and So Mun seemed to be managing in his current state.
You gulped as a crack in the window started to form, with each second it became bigger. Mun was straining himself, pushing his limits to fight off the opposing psychokinesis. His fist was clenched tightly, though he tried to keep his face calm. The evil spirit seemed more tense than he was, which gave you some small hope that Mun was still stronger.
It felt like the tense moment went on for hours, but it suddenly all came to an end when one of the kid’s glasses slipped off the table from the shaking and the evil spirit caught it smoothly. He gave a fake smile and a gentle, “Are you okay?” to the small child.
“You have so many things you need to protect.” The words sounded sadistic and devilish, and you forced yourself to not lunge at him. Mun was breathing unsteadily, anger flashing in his usual soft eyes. You scowled at the evil spirit. You hated leaving things unfinished. You didn’t like waiting to fight another day. You were always one to face things head-on. If it had been different circumstances, you would’ve frozen time and given this evil spirit a piece of yourself.
It absolutely enraged you how he had come here to scout things out, to test So Mun’s ability first hand without risk. And now that he had found out what he wanted, he walked out. But you were glad that he was leaving nonetheless. A fight in front of all the kids would’ve been a much worse outcome.
The door swung shut and you turned your focus back to Mun, who suddenly lurched forward and gasped, almost falling to the ground but he caught himself on the table.
“So Mun-” You were by his side immediately, hand on his shoulder and supporting him to make sure he didn’t fall. Your eyes widened as a drop of blood fell to the floor. All the other counters had gotten nosebleeds in psychokinesis training before, even Hana when she was just starting out. But you had never seen it from Mun. It sent a chill up your spine as you realized just how strong these new evil spirits could be.
You felt every inch of you ignite with rage. He just walked in and out like he owned the place? He pushed Mun to the edge of his abilities and strolled out like it was nothing? You started to move to run after him. You wanted a fight. You wanted payback. Evil spirits were bad in their nature, but this one was worse than any you had seen.
Your boyfriend stopped you before you could go, though. He was heaving still, his nose dripping blood and his forehead shiny with sweat. He gave you a small shake of his head. He knew what you were thinking in an instant, and he kept a firm hand on your arm to make sure you didn’t leave.
“Don’t.” He gasped, coughing a little. You sighed, fist clenching as you looked back at the door for another second before turning your full attention to Mun.
“Are you okay?” He nodded, finding his footing again to stand up but he stumbled a little, still exhausted from the encounter with the evil spirit. You caught him safely in your arms before he could fall.
“Sit down.” You guided him back to the chair and grabbed a tissue from the side table for his nose. Hana had gone back to the kids knowing you could handle the situation with your boyfriend, but Ms. Chu stayed by your side. She always felt like injuries, no matter how big or small, were her responsibility. You understood her completely. If the team were ever too late, you couldn’t help placing the blame all on yourself and millions of what-if’s and alternative scenarios would play in your mind. Mun had always been helpful for your overthinking, even before you two were dating. He always knew exactly what to say to get the thoughts out of your head.
“He’s stronger, isn’t he?” You were now sitting beside Mun, gently clasping his hand.
He nodded, “But we’re stronger too. At least, we will be. We have to be.” You gave his hand a squeeze. It was a scary thought, but you wondered if the team was cut out for defeating evil spirits of this level.
//
There was only one person that could possibly be knocking on your door at 1 am. You wondered whether it was something serious or if your boyfriend really despised sharing his new room with Jeokbong that much. Whatever the reason was, it didn’t really matter. Mun was always welcome wherever you were.
He opened the door, but didn’t come in, instead faltering in the doorway for a while. You opened your arms wide, waving for him to come over for a hug. It was enough to get him to take steps forward and close the door.
“Can’t sleep because of stress or because Jeokbong is really annoying?” You asked with a small laugh as Mun positioned himself to snuggle close to you, a position which allowed you to play with his curly hair— something you loved to do more than anything.
“Jeokbong isn’t so bad, you know. He’s part of the team now.” Your boyfriend mumbled.
“Yeah, well he isn’t much help yet, but he’s pretty cute at least.”
Mun gave a small discontented groan at your comment, “He is not cute.”
“Are you still stressed about it?” You asked, moving the topic of discussion to a more serious matter. Your boyfriend sighed and shuffled just a little closer to you.
“I can’t stop thinking about it. I should’ve done something. He was right there, but I let him go. Maybe if we had all worked as a team-”
“Baby, you did your best. It was better to not have a fight in front of all the kids.” You reassured him, truly meaning every word. The fact that he even got a nosebleed showed that he truly strained himself as far as he could.
“I know you’re right, but I still don’t feel like it.” He mumbled.
“And you can’t sleep because it’s still bothering you?” You guessed and he hummed affirmatively.
“I thought being next to you might help me sleep.” He admitted and it made you smile.
“I hope it does.” You pressed a kiss to his forehead before closing your eyes and preparing to sleep.
So Mun kept his eyes open for a while, mindlessly staring at your sleepy face. When he finally felt some tiredness wash over him, he pressed one last kiss to your lips and hugged you close, slipping away to his dreams.

jealousy - somun x reader
warnings: drinking
genre/type: fluff, comedy, slight crack, jealous somun!! y/n
wc: 1k
synopsis: you and the counters get a new teammate, but he seems to grow a liking to you quickly. a liking that somun doesn't seem fond of.
title track: teddy bear - kim sejeong
a/n: hi all! since I made you guys wait forever for my last fanfic (go check it out) I decided to write a quick little one shot! I hope you all enjoy!
You and the counters scramble around the noodle shop preparing to welcome your new teammate. While Somun and Hana bicker about whether or not the decorations are centered, you help Ms.Chu and Motak set the table.
You feel your phone vibrate and check the notification, “Guys! He’s one minute away!” Everyone drops what they’re doing and you all stand in front of the door, wanting to make a good impression on your new teammate. Somun notices that you’re feeling nervous, so he calms you down with a quick kiss and a smile. The counters are so desensitized to you and Somuns PDA at this point, so they continue shuffling around and straightening their clothes.
The chairman walks in with your new teammate. He is tall with curly hair, but the most eye-catching part about him was the pore strip sitting on his nose.
“This is your new teammate!” the chairman exclaims happily. You all bow and smile at him. He bows, “I’m Jeokbeong! It’s an honor to be a part of your team!” he says through a stutter. You all smile awkwardly, introducing yourselves.
You bow again, introducing yourself. “I’m Y/N, it’s nice to meet you Jeokbeong!” you say through a smile. Jeokbeong stares at you and Hana with his mouth open. The chairman laughs trying to shift the awkward energy until Jeokbeong exclaims that you two are beautiful.
You and Hana laugh and thank him. Somun has never been the jealous type, so he pays no attention to this; he knows you are beautiful.
Once everyone has introduced themselves, Ms.Chu motions for everyone to take a seat at the table to begin eating. You sit down first, waiting for Somun to sit next to you like he usually does, but the person who sits next to you tonight is not Somun.
Jeokbeong sits right next to you and stares at you with a smile. You awkwardly smile and move over a bit since he was too close for comfort. Somun sits across from you, not paying mind to Jeokbeong once again.
Secretly, you wish Somun was more possessive. You want to sit with him, but he’s too worried about the food in front of him to say something. So you allow Jeokbeong to stare at you while you all eat.
With the 4 hours of talking and drinking, it’s safe to say everyone is pretty drunk. Jeokbeongs attention has been off and on between you and Hana, so you just assume he wants a new friend.
He has made a few moves on you, and you have noticed Somuns patience running low. Jeokbeong has played with your hair, tried to feed you, and continuously complimented you the whole time he’s been here.
You thought Jeokbeong was just being friendly, until he puts his arm around you, using the fake yawn method. You jump and go to punch his arm off, but before you make contact with him, he’s already laying on the floor wincing in pain.
You look at him with wide eyes, covering your mouth in shock. “Jeokbeong! I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to hit you that hard!” you say through panicked laughter, finding his situation funny.
He sits up and stares at Somun. You turn to Somun, but he is sitting there eating like nothing happened. “It was him!” Jeokbeong yells, pointing his finger at Somun. Somun looks up from his bowl, trying to act innocent. You laugh, hitting his arm from across the table. “You didn’t have to try and kill him babe! I thought we agreed not to use our powers on each other.” you yell through laughter. Jeokbeong stops his whining immediately and stands up. “Babe?” he asks with an exaggerated rising tone.
Hana laughs, pointing at you and Somun. “They’re dating” she explains to Jeokbeong. He continues his whining, crawling on his knees to hug you. Before he can touch you, he freezes. Somun is staring at him like Jeokbeong is asking to be flung again.
“Do you want to die this time?” Somun asks in a serious tone. Even his seriousness scared you. A childish “Oooo” comes from Motak while he sits back enjoying the tension.
Jeokbeong frantically shakes his head no and apologizes to Somun. “I’m sorry I didn’t know!” You all laugh, as all of this is happening while you’re all intoxicated.
“Somun, I didn’t even know you could use your powers while drunk!” Ms.Chu speaks up. Somun chuckles softly and continues eating.
Jeokbeong stands up and hesitantly sits next to you again, this time with a 14 inch distance between you two. Somun shoots him a playful wink, clicking his tongue.
After about an hour and a half of everyone laughing and talking, it’s time for everyone to head to bed. Ms.Chu stands up, signaling for everyone to go to their rooms. While Jeokbeong stands up, she grabs him by his collar. “If you’re going to be a part of this team, you help me do the dishes.” Jeokbeong whines, watching everyone walk off to their rooms.
“Goodnight Jeokbeong!” you say through a drunk slur; Somun closing the door behind you two.
You sit down on the bed sighing. “So... what do you think of him?” you ask Somun. “I think... I don’t like him.” he responds while changing into pajamas. You laugh, knowing exactly why he feels this way.
“Somun! You were so happy this afternoon. Plus Jeokbeong is drunk, I’m sure he’ll forget about it tomorrow.” you explain to Somun.
This seems to irk him as he walks up to you.
He grabs your face and places a kiss upon your lips. He pulls away staring into your eyes. “You’re mine, okay? You better hope he forgets tomorrow!” he whines. You laugh at his cuteness, nodding your head.
“and if he doesn’t forget. I’ll kill him!” he says through a pout. You continue laughing, standing up to hug Somun. “Don’t worry,” you say reassuring him. “If he doesn’t, I can ask Hana to erase his memories.”
“Hey, weren’t you the one saying we shouldn’t use each other's powers on each other?” he asks. “I’ll allow it this time” you say.
Somun smiles, giving you another kiss. He grabs your hand dragging you to bed. He exhales, “Okay okay, let’s forget all about this,” You nod in agreement. “Goodnight, I love you.” he says.
“Goodnight, Somun. I love you too” you respond, snuggling into his warm chest; falling asleep.

A familiar feeling - Somun x reader
warnings: blood, violence, choking, punching, cursing, smoking, drinking, fighting
genre/type: angst, slight fluff, slight comedy, enemies to lovers
wc: 8.2k
synopsis: evil spirit!yn is teamed up with hwangpil. fighting the counters has been a journey. you hate the counters, you hate hwangpil, and you hate this never ending battle. despite hating everyone, there's something that no one knows about you. until the truth is revealed when you wake up at the counters hideout, one day after you were almost killed.
title track: tunnel (inst) - kim sejeong
a/n: hello everyone! thank you all so much for being patient! I know a lot of you guys anticipated the release of this! I apologize for the delay, but it is finally out! I hope you all enjoy this as it took me a while to write. I hope the wait was worth it :) enjoy and I will update you all when a new story is going to be released!
“You seriously think that?” you ask Hwangpil while taking another sip of red wine. “If I’m able to just kill that kid, think about how powerful I’d be.” he says while lighting another cigarette. You smile and bite your lip out of nervousness. You’re fairly new to this whole evil spirit thing, as you have only consumed three souls; whereas Hwangpil has consumed over 10.
But, there’s a secret he doesn’t know about you.
He keeps you around as his own personal sacrifice, since to him, you’re weak. You lean back on your chair and sigh. Hwangpil cocks his eyebrow at you, but you already know what he’s thinking; you don’t need to ask. You never expected to be a so-called “evil spirit”, but here you are sitting beside the strongest, most evil man you’ve ever encountered.
Though you hate Hwangpil, you also love him. You constantly try to please him, but he is never satisfied. To his knowledge, you’ve only consumed three souls; he doesn’t know the full truth about you. To him, you are a beginner and nothing but a rookie, but there’s much more to that story.
Hwangpil stands up, bringing your hand to his lips, placing a kiss. You smile before he quickly shuts you down. “Get to bed. Long day tomorrow.” and before you know it, he’s gone.
*next night*
You and Hwangpil walk into the crowded junkyard. You lean against an old car and look up to the night sky. You laugh and feel butterflies grow in your stomach. “This is my first fight with Hwangpil. I’ll be able to show him that I’m more than just his toy.” you think silently. After about 15 minutes pass, you sigh impatiently as you wait for the counters to sense Hwangpil’s territory.
Just before you start to stretch, you see headlights blaring at you and Hwangpil. Hwangpil covers his eyes with his arm, squinting; while you stare directly at the car ahead. You smile at him and you two run separate ways, making sure the counters have to split up to find you two.
You run into the maze of abandoned cars and wait, but you can’t see or hear anything. You look around cautiously, anticipating one of the counters to sneak up on you. With your back turned, you leave an open spot for vulnerability. As soon as you turn around, you are met with a strong hit to the face. You cover your face and wipe the blood off, looking up and seeing a short girl with dark curly hair. You smirk as you stand up in an attempt to land a punch on her, but she trips you and you fall on your back. You moan in annoyance, “Ahh, you’re that annoying bitch aren’t you?” you say sitting up. You swing your arm and hit her in the leg with full force. She falls as you get up to run away. While running, you feel a force stopping you in your tracks. You look around and see a man. “It’s him.” you think to yourself.
You break away from his force and run towards him. You leap and miss your hit on him. He lands a punch right on your nose and blood runs down your face once again. You shriek out in pain. “You fucking bitch!” you yell out. The man smirks, “Actually, my name is Somun.” he says calmly. His calmness angers you even more. He lands another forceful punch on your abdomen and you stumble backwards. “He’s stronger than I thought.” you say under your breath. You look up and your eyes widen as he stands there, inching closer towards you. Somun stands there, not doing anything. You lock eye contact with him and his eyes widen. “You’re not… an evil spirit?” he says with a sharp inhale
You don’t have time for small talk. You muster up the strength to punch him, but he stops you with just one of his hands.
You hear footsteps running up behind you and flinch, covering yourself with your arms, crouching down. “Stop.” Somun says. The footsteps stop and you overhear a female voice, “Somun! What are you doing? Summon her!” she yells. Tears form in your eyes. Now that you’re in actual combat, you come to the realization that you’re not fit for this life.
A force picks you up from the throat and drags you across the busy yard. You open your eyes and are met with Hwangpil. He furrows his eyebrows at you as tears continue to stream down your bloody face. “I’m sorry.” you say through a choked voice. You look around through blurry vision and see all the counters staring at you two. You sniff once more, until Hwangpil throws you 50 feet across, making you crash into a car. Your back crashes against the metal as you fall onto the cold dirt. You wipe the tears from your face, standing up again.
You hate the counters.
But you “hate” Hwangpil even more.
He has been manipulating and using you as his toy for the past few months. You sit and think about the outcome, if you just consumed one more soul you could please him. Whilst standing up, you hold your abdomen from Somun’s punch. You let out a scream and run towards Somun, successfully landing a punch. Hwangpil smiles at you and you can’t help but feel proud of yourself. This feeling quickly changes when Somun wipes a tiny amount of blood of his lip turning towards you, “Is that all you’ve got?” Your eyes widen in fear and determination. You punch Somun in the abdomen with little force that you can muster up. Somun spits out blood and you laugh. But you remember the part you promised to play. You step back in realization. Hwangpil then grabs your throat once more, lifting you off the ground. You struggle for air as he looks at you with a face of disappointment. “You poor thing. I really thought you could be of use to me.” he says with a low tone. His fingers tighten around your neck and you shut your eyes, accepting your fate. Just then, you fall back onto the ground, gasping for air. You look up and see that Somun now has Hwangpil in his grasp. You scoot back in fear, until you feel a soft touch against your head, and you drift into a coma.
*next morning*
You wake up to the smell of pork broth infiltrating your room. You think to yourself, “Is Hwangpil making breakfast?...” but as soon as you open your eyes, you realize you are not in your room. You shoot up, looking around the room in confusion. You walk to the mirror and gasp. You’re in comfortable pajamas and all of your wounds are healed from last night. You hear the sound of a small crowd laughing and talking just outside your door. Your heart warms at this nostalgic feeling. Just before you’re allowed to smile, your neck twitches and you grow with anger. You hate that you are always fighting this constant battle. Hwangpil’s manipulation has really taken a toll on you, as just a few months ago you were celebrating your birthday with your closest friends and family. That was the last time you felt genuine happiness and peace. You continue to fight with yourself between your feelings. But eventually, curiosity gets the best of you.
You crack open the bedroom door, making eye contact with the same woman you saw last night. You gasp and turn around to run back into the bedroom, but you're caught in your tracks when someone catches you by the collar of your shirt. You attempt to fight back but the person isn’t budging. “Ok, I give up.” you sigh out. The pressure from your shirt releases and you turn around to confront the force. You are met with a tall, semi middle aged man with curly hair. You look at him and say nothing, furrowing your eyebrows with hate. He laughs right in your face. Your expression changes from hate to confusion. You speak up, “why aren’t you hurting me?” “You’re not an evil spirit.” he says. You say nothing and look at the floor. He clears his throat, “Come eat.”
You shoot the man a dirty look and walk over to the table where everyone is sitting. Once you look around, you realize that you had just slept at your enemies hideout. Your eyes widen and squint in anger, then soften again in seconds. The counters continue to stare at you, till an older woman gestures for you to take a seat; a steaming bowl of soup and an empty chair waiting for you.
You stare around awkwardly, while the group stares back. You gulp, “Why am I here?” you say in a flat, monotone voice. “You’re not evil.” the young boy that you had punched last night speaks up. You dart your eyes at him and snarl. “Yes, I am.” you say confidently. The table falls silent once again. The older woman leans over and rubs your back. In the matter of 3 seconds, you go to slap her hand off of you, but something stops you; your conscience. You make eye contact with her and she gives a reassuring smile. “Don’t be afraid, we are here to help you.” You finally relax your stiff shoulders and slouch over, bringing your hands to your face to avoid the overwhelming emotions running through your body.
After you compose yourself, you remove your hands while clearing your throat; readying yourself to dump everything on the counters.
“Hwangpil. He found me while I was outside walking home after celebrating my birthday. He saw that my guard was down, and to him, I was his perfect victim.” you speak up. “These past 3 months have been a living hell. He had forced me to watch him kill and consume my best friend's soul. I felt like I couldn’t breathe. He laughed right in my face and I saw his body contort in a way that I didn’t think was humanly possible.” You pause your sentence and look up, the counters are staring at you with both empathy and hatred. Not hatred for you, but for Hwangpil. “Continue.” the young man speaks up. You nod and continue.
“After that, he continued to manipulate me and overtime, his words got to me. Everyday I fight with myself, battling the internal war between good V.S. evil. I want to be good. I really do. But something about pleasing Hwangpil excites me so much.” you say as you squirm in your seat.
The counter's empathy then turns to confusion. You twitch your neck and start laughing. The counters all stand up, backing up out of fear. You stand up, laughing even harder. “Did you really think I was serious?!” you say. You clutch your stomach in pain from laughing so hard. “Go ahead! Open your territory Somun!” you say pointing to the ground, mocking his ability. Somun opens the territory, and immediately, the young girl's neck twitches. “Someone has step foot.” You burst into laughter once more. “You still don’t get it, do you? I didn’t expect you all to be this gullible!” They all stare at you once more. “Here, I’ll spell it out for you since you all are too dumb to understand… I am a so-called “Level 3”, or whatever you wanna call us. My power you ask? Hiding all the souls I’ve consumed! Meaning, you won’t be able to sense me. No matter how hard you try.” you say with a cocky smile.
Somun and the young girl jump at you, fists full of power. You land a kick on his stomach and grab the girl’s hand, looking at her in the eyes. “What was your name again? Jana? Dana?” you say laughing. You land a strong punch on her, causing her nose to bleed. “Doesn’t feel good does it?” Once you see Somun getting up, you can feel the anger piercing the atmosphere. You smile and wave at him, “Bye!” you say. As soon as he pounces onto you, the counters look around searching for you. You’re nowhere to be found.
*clink*
Your wine glass taps Hwangpils, as you two laugh together about your interaction with the counters. They don’t know that you and Hwangpil have been teammates for 11 months. “Their faces were hilarious! And they totally thought you were gonna kill me! And you know what? That Somun kid is pretty cute.” you say laughing. Hwangpil smiles, “You did a good job playing your weak girl role the other night. When I was holding you, I almost believed you.” he says. “What else?” you ask teasingly. “Yes, I read your mind when I was choking you, even your inner monologue was perfect. You almost had me fooled.” You smile at his compliment and tilt your head down, blushing. Hwangpil grabs your chin and tilts your face so that you two are eye to eye. “But don’t let that get to your head.” he says with a wink, slowly leaving the couch where you two are sitting.
*timeskip: 1 week*
You wait inside the empty abandoned mall, waiting for the counters to show up. “I hate waiting” you say while pacing, fixing your leather gloves. Finally, you sense him. “Ahh! Somun! Long time no see my love!” you say waving, purposely trying to anger him. He runs up to you, wasting no time. He hits you straight in the face, causing blood to stream down your face. You smile as you wipe it off nonchalantly. “Is that all you’ve got?” you say, mocking him from your fight last week. He runs back up to you and you kick him in the stomach. He smiles, grabs your leg, and slams you onto the ground. You moan in pain and quickly try to stand, but Somun overpowers you, straddling you. He begins to repeatedly punch your face, until there is a pool of blood around you. You grab both of his hands, squeezing his fists. He winces in pain as you smile, blood covering your teeth. “Where’s the rest of your team, darling? Or did Hwangpil take care of them already?” Somun screams, loud enough to bust both of your eardrums. You slide across the floor from the waves of his voice. You put your finger up to your ear, feeling blood leaking out. You’re drenched in blood, but you won’t let this fight end this early. You reach out your hand, pulling Somun to you. You knee him in the abdomen. As he bends over in pain, you knee his head. He stumbles backwards as you continue to slap him around, not allowing him to land a single hit on you.
You stop for a moment to catch your breath, panting from the intense fight. You look over and see Somun laying on the ground. Your eyes widen in excitement, thinking you have actually killed him. You walk over slowly, kicking his head once more to ensure he’s out. He shows no reaction. You smile and bend over, preparing to consume the strongest power you have ever encountered. Just as you open your mouth, you are flung across the floor. You crash into an abandoned store's entrance, hitting your back against the hard wall. You groan in pain, but before you can process what happened, you are flung back towards Somun. In what felt like 1 second, you are met with his grasp around your throat. You feel his fingers tighten. You flail your body in an attempt to fight back, but each passing moment you are getting more and more lightheaded. As soon as your eyes begin to roll backward, the grasp is let go from your throat. You stumble onto the ground, looking at Somun. He straddles you once again, landing punch after punch. You don’t try to fight back, you are exhausted at this point. Somun goes to land his final blow, but you stop his fist, speaking up through gurgled blood. “I hate you.” Somun lets out a cocky smile, “I hate you even more.” As he delivers his final punch, he completely knocks you out unconscious.
Somun stares at you with immense hate and anger. He takes your hand in his and places it upon your chest; summoning you.
*next morning*
You wake up, rubbing your eyes and yawning. You walk to your bathroom with fuzzy eyes, but you are met with a wall. You bump into the wall, stumbling back. You rub your eyes once more, scanning your surroundings. Once again, you’re not at home. You get a feeling of familiarity. You take a deep breath, trying to remember, but the smell of pork broth hits you. You still don’t quite understand, as everything is both physically and mentally blurry. You walk to a mirror, gasping at all of the cuts and bruises over your body. You whine and throw your head back, frustrated from confusion. You exit the bedroom expecting an empty room, but there sit 4 faces that you have seen somewhere before. You stare at the group and immediately yell in anger. “Who are you and where the hell am I?!” The group laughs, “Seems she hasn’t calmed down yet.” a middle aged man speaks up. You furrow your eyebrows, stomping towards the man. “Hey! Listen! You can’t kidnap me and expect me not to a-” just then a voice interrupts you. “Y/N, sit down.” a young boy says. “And how the hell do you know my name?!” you yell, rubbing your forehead in immense frustration. “Just sit down.” he repeats.
You sit down, staring at the group. “Y/N, do you remember anything?” the boy speaks up. You reply with silence. He cocks his eyebrow at you, awaiting your response. “I remember being punched. I don’t know if it was last night or last month.” you speak up. “Do you know my name?” he asks. “No. But I have a feeling I have met you all before. Especially you.” you say pointing to the younger girl. She smiles and looks down. “Yes, we have met before. I’m the one you called a bitch.” Your eyes widen. You don’t remember any of this, but this topic sounds familiar. “We’ll explain.” she says.
The counters explain everything, a long list of information that you can barely process. “Okay so let me get this straight. A man named Hwangpil is an ‘evil spirit’ and he killed people and made me consume their souls, then we were teammates. Then I met you all and we got into a fight. I told you all my power, and then I fought Somun and he summoned me. So I was an evil spirit? Am I getting this all right?” the group nods. “Pretty much.” they all say in sync. “I’m sorry to have put you all through this much trouble. I don’t remember much. But the Hwangpil guy sounds really familiar.” you pause. “Thank you.”
“Hey, just because you’re all nice now doesn’t mean we forgive you.” Motak speaks up. Your eyes dart down. “I understand.”
*time skip: 10 months*
It’s been 10 months since you saw the counters last, but for some reason, Somun won’t leave your mind recently. Maybe because winter is approaching and this is around the time the whole thing went down. Your life has returned to normal, and you feel at peace again. You lay down, preparing to sleep. You look out your window admiring the beautiful city lights of Jungjin. While staring at the city, you see beams of light radiating from the busy street below. You look at the people walking below; but they seem to not notice the lights. You can almost feel the luminescence calling your name. You throw on a jacket, and run out your door. You step outside, seeing the bright lights leading you towards a location. You run, following the light. While running, you bump shoulders with someone. You turn around quickly to apologize, but see the familiar face of Motak. “Y/N. We need your help.” You stare at him in confusion, knowing you haven’t had anything to do with the counters in months. “Why me?” you ask. “Do you see the lights?” he asks. You pout your lips, “These lights?” you say pointing to the beam between you and Motak. His eyes widen and he grabs your wrist in a hurry, forcing you to follow him. “Motak! What is going on?” you yell, out of breath. “Somun.” he says. You sigh, not feeling any less confused. Motak stops and looks at you. “Hwangpil. He’s back.” your eyes widen. The name rings in your ears, it sounds so familiar, but not in a good way.
You reach the end of the lights, seeing the silhouette of him. You stumble back, all of your memories from the fight coming back. Blood is scattered on the ground of the same junkyard you were once in. You fall back, Motak catching you. You look over and see Somun lying on the ground, while Hana is in combat with Hwangpil. Memories infiltrate your mind as you see Somun coughing up blood. “He needs your help.” Motak whispers to you. “What can I do? I don’t have any powers!” you reply. “You said you see the lights right?” he says. You nod in reply to his question, “Then you can do anything.” You gulp in nervousness, but you are determined to save the life of the boy who once saved yours. You sprint towards Hwangpil, but before you can do anything, you check on Somun. He’s barely conscious, blood and tears falling from his face. “Somun, you’ll be okay. You saved me. This time, I’ll save you.” you say kneeling over him. While standing up he grabs your wrist, “Don’t.” he says weakly. You look at him while tears form in your eyes. There is no way you’re going to let him, or any of the other counters die.
“Well, this is unexpected! My dear Y/N, how I’ve missed you! You’re all innocent now. What happened to my determined teammate who worked so hard to satisfy me?” Hwangpil says in a degrading tone. You rip your wrist away from Somun’s grasp, standing in front of him to guard his body. Hwangpil laughs, “You’re weaker than ever now. What are you going to do to me, honey?” he asks. The lights from earlier rise once more and you feel adrenaline rushing throughout your whole body. Before you can react to Hwangpils words, you are sprinting towards him. You land a punch under his jaw, sending his head flying back. You are running on pure energy. You land punch after punch, making Hwangpil stumble backwards. Just then a pole hits the back of his head. You stop your punching and look besides you. There stands a bloody Hana, holding a 4 foot steel pole in her hands. You two smile at each other and continue kicking and punching Hwangpil until he is completely knocked out.
Before you know it, you are straddling him, placing his hand under yours. “Y/N! You’re not a counter. It won’t w-” Hana yells before Somun quietly shushes her. You yell and the lights around you grow. You can’t even comprehend what you’re doing until a bright glow rises from Hwangpils chest. He yells out, then collapses. You slouch down, rolling onto the ground. The counters stare at you in shock. “She just…” Motak stutters. Somun smiles and lays his head back. “He’s really gone..” Hana speaks up.
You sit up, dusting your hands like nothing happened. You look up and see the counters still staring at you in disbelief. “How did you do that?…” Hana speaks up. “Do what?” you reply. She says nothing and just points to Hwangpils body next to you. Your eyes widen and you scoot back. You cover your mouth in shock and stutter out random sounds. “It doesn’t matter. I’ll call the cops.” Motak says, pulling out his phone. You nod and slowly stand up, motioning to Hana to help you move Somun to the car.
“I’m sorry for calling you an annoying bitch Hana. You’re pretty cool.” you speak up shyly. You expected her to roll her eyes or just ignore you. Instead she grabs your hand and smiles. “That was so cheesy, but it’s okay. We’re friends now.” she says. Your stomach does flips over your once enemy calling you her friend. “Hey hey hey, we are not friends!” Somun whines while sitting up from the passenger seat. “Somun, she just saved your life.” Motak spits out. Somun begins to speak again until Motak pushes him back against the seat, making Somun wince in pain. You and Hana laugh. You move your gaze towards the window, beginning to drift into the sleep you were preparing for before you had to go and save someone’s life.
*next morning*
“Boom! I hit him right in the jaw! Then Hana came in and knocked him out with a pole. I don’t even know where she got that thing!” you blurt out, explaining last night's activities to Ms.Chu. She laughs and takes another bite of food, which she had prepared for you all. You sigh, “Thank you all again for letting me stay here and treating me to breakfast. But I should be going. I hope we cross paths again.” Just as you begin to stand, a sleepy Somun emerges from his bedroom. He yawns, scratching his messy hair. You laugh at him, never seeing him like this before. “Goodmorn-'' he says, interrupting himself, “What is she doing here.” you laugh, “Good Morning to you too.” you say. “Somun don’t be so rude to the girl who saved your life.” Ms.Chu speaks up with a mouth full of food. You laugh once more, preparing to leave. Somun looks at you and cocks his head towards his room. You look at him confused “Come.” he says through a raspy voice. The counters look at each other with a look of mischief on their faces. You hesitate, but follow Somun to his room.
“What’s up?” you ask him. “Y/N, I wanna talk to you about something.” he says, motioning you to take a seat on his bed. You sit down on his bed and stare at him. “I still hate you.” he says. You turn your head in confusion. “...but thank you.” “For what?” you ask teasingly. Somun clenches his jaw, then releases it. “Thank you for helping me.” he says stubbornly. You let out a breathy laugh, “You’re welcome, Somun.” Silence follows until you decide to speak up once more. “About those glowing lights, what are they?” you ask. “You don’t remember? You mocked me, asking me to open my territory back when you were still a spirit.” You say nothing. “Anyway, I opened them, hoping you could see them.”
“I saw them, and something told me to follow them. On the way, I ran into Motak. He told me that you needed help. I don’t know what happened but your territory helped me.” Somuns eyes widen and he grabs your hand, looking at your palm. On your index finger, there is one small little black dot. He looks at it with confusion, until you pull your hand back. “I thought you hated me? Why are you holding my hand?” you ask. Somun takes a sharp breath, “Hey don’t get any ideas, I was just checking something.” A moment of silence passes until Somun asks for your phone. You hand him your phone and he types in his number. “What is this?” you ask, staring at the screen. “What does it look like? Text me if you need anything.” You look at Somun full of confusion. ‘First he hates me and now he’s giving me his number. What is this guy's problem?’ you think to yourself. You shove your phone into your back pocket and grab your jacket, exiting his room. You say your goodbyes to the counters and walk on the cold streets of Jungjin, back to your apartment.
While walking back to your apartment, the beams of light rise from the streets once again. You look at them and whine out loud, turning around to make your way back to the counters hideout. After about 15 minutes of walking you storm in, “Somun! Stop opening your territory! I thought you asked me to text you if I need something!” The counters sit at the table looking at you confused. You widen your eyes, staring at Somun waiting for a response. “I didn’t open anything…” he says. You run your fingers through your hair, “Who else could’ve done that then? I saw them!” you say angrily. “I was just about to get home too!” you yell out. Somun stands up, “Maybe I wanted to see you!” he yells out. The room falls silent. “...What?” you say. Somun clears his throat, “Maybe I wanted to see if you could still see the lights!” he says through an obvious lie. You roll your eyes, “Okay well I can see them. Stop bothering me!” you reply. You turn around and walk out the door, rolling your eyes again. ‘Why does he want to see me now? He’s so weird’ you think to yourself.
You arrive home and plop on your bed, feeling exhausted. You start to think about your interaction with Somun. You saved his life, he says you two aren’t friends, proceeds to give you his phone number, then opens his territory for you to see. You sigh, getting up to take a shower. You look in the mirror and notice the ends of your hair curling up. You brush it off to stress and sweating. You hop in the shower, ignoring everything, trying to clear your mind.
In your robe, you go to grab your hair brush. Bringing the brush to your head, you notice the black dot on your index finger. You stare at it closely, thinking that it was a freckle. You remember back to sitting in the car with Hana, she had the same dots; except they were on all of her fingers. You remember Somun grabbing your hand that morning, he also had the dots on the tips of his fingers. You’re even more confused now. You brush it off once more as a coincidence, and continue brushing your hair. Your hair goes back to its natural state and you smile, until a small curl pops up, curling just above your forehead. You furrow your eyebrows, brushing the curl, only for it to coil back up. You’ve never seen a curl like this on yourself before. You continuously brush it, but each time, it bounces back. You sigh out once more, accepting the curl. You proceed to dress yourself in comfortable loungewear, needing to relax for a day after last night.
After about 2 hours of relaxing, you find yourself staring at the curl that’s now resting on your forehead. You pull it down, watching it bounce back into shape. Now that you think about it, this cannot be a coincidence. The counters all have curly hair, and you have confirmed that two of them have the same dots that you have on your index finger. Maybe they’re siblings? No that can’t be. You stand up from the vanity staring back at you, throwing on a pair of sweatpants and making your way to the counters 'hideout’. Once you step outside, you have completely forgotten how to get there despite leaving 3 hours ago. You pout, knowing the only person who can help you get there is Somun. You pull your phone out of your pocket, hovering your thumb over his name. You text him, “It’s Y/N. Open your territory please :)” You shut your phone off expecting at least a 10 minute wait. In a blink, the familiar lights are shining. You smirk, shoving your phone back into your pocket and walking to the hideout.
Once you reach the hideout, you walk in, only to see the normal meeting spot empty. You scan the room looking for Somun. You walk in further, finding a sweaty Somun in the boxing ring, throwing invisible punches. You stare and admire for a while, your face growing pink. You’ve never realized how attractive Somun is until now. The past times you’ve seen him you were trying to kill each other or thinking about killing each other. Somun turns around, flicking the sweat off of his forehead. “What’s up.” he says nonchalantly. “Can we talk?... Please?” you ask. Somun smirks and lets out a breathy life, sitting on the edge of the boxing ring. “You’re being awfully nice. Do you need me to do something for you?” You roll your eyes playfully, “Yes, well not really, but yes.” Somun stares at you. You point to the curl hanging in front of your eyes. “What?” Somun asks. “What is this!” you ask. “A curl?” Once again, you roll your eyes. “and what about this?” you say while holding your finger out to him. Somun stares at it with no emotion, until he starts putting two and two together. Under his breath he mummers out, “Is she turning into a counter?” You stare at Somun while he looks at your finger. A full minute has passed at this point. “So?” you ask. “I think you’re turning into a counter.” he says. You tilt your head in confusion, how is this even possible? “I thought I had to get into some type of fatal accident to even be granted the opportunity to become one.” Somun says nothing, he stares at your eyes and pulls the curl down, watching it coil back into it’s shape. You grab the curl with your hand, “What are you doing?!” you yell. “I wanted to see if it was real.” You breathe out, “Somun, you’re no help.” you say. “Did you want me to help?” he asks. “Of course I did! I came here for a reason.” He stares at you, then slips out of the boxing ring, taking a drink of water. Your face flushes pink once again. “Come sit. Let’s have our talk.”
You both sit at the table, waiting for each other to speak up. “Y/N, I want to be honest with you.” he says in a tone, different from his usual tone. This tone sounds more genuine, compared to the monotone and raspy voice he usually talks to you in. You raise your eyebrows, signaling him to continue. He sighs, dropping his shoulders down to relax. “I’m sorry,” he says. ‘Where is this coming from?’ you think to yourself.
“I’m sorry that I’m so rude to you. I’m sorry that I wasn’t able to fight Hwangpil; I’m sorry that I had to rely on you. I’m sorry for all of the trouble that I’ve put you through. I hate you, because I envy you. No one would be brave enough to face their once enemy, but you did it with ease. I’m sorry, I really am.” he says.
You take a moment to process what he has said. You really don’t remember much from being an evil spirit, so this whole situation is quite confusing. Before you respond, you feel a sharp pain in your temple. You yell out, laying your head on the table. A few seconds pass, but you sit up and look at the Somun with tears forming in your eyes. Somun looks at you confused. “Somun… I almost killed you.” you speak up. “Our fight. I remember everything now. I tricked you all into caring for me, I hurt you and Hana, I almost killed you.” you say, now sobbing. Somun stays silent. “If anything, I should be sorry to you. I apologize, Somun.” you say bowing your head. While you feel tears of guilt streaming down your face, you feel a hand cup your face, wiping your tears. You look up, Somun is staring at you with pain painted on his face. You sniff, embracing his touch. “I’m sorry too.” he says through a choked voice.
You pull his hand away, sitting back in your chair, wiping your tears. “When you hurt us, that wasn’t you. It was the spirit inside of you, but it’s gone now. You’re safe now” he speaks up. Those are the words you needed to hear. ‘I’m safe I’m safe I’m safe’ replays in your head. You smile through your tears. “Most importantly, you’re safe with us.” he says once more. You look at his glistening eyes and nod, “Thank you, Somun. Thank you for everything.” He smiles, and grabs your hand. “You don’t hate me anymore do you?” he asks. You laugh, “I never hated you.” you confess. He shares a laugh with you, “Good.” He sighs out, “Well since you’re part counter, let’s train some.” You nod, accepting the challenge.
*2 hours later*
Hana, Motak, and Ms.Chu all walk in, all tipsy from bar hopping on their day off. They walk in and see you and Somun laying down in the middle of the boxing ring, completely passed out. Motak laughs, walking over to the ring. “Looks like these two are friends now. Just last night Somun was going off about how they weren’t friends.” “You know what that means when Somun says he doesn’t have interest in someone.” Ms.Chu speaks up. “It means he likes her.” Hana says in a monotone voice. The thing is, they don’t know that you woke up 5 minutes ago, you are just too exhausted to move. You fake sleep for another 3 minutes, until you hear the lights switch off, feeling a blanket drape over you and Somun.
You wake up in the morning, sitting up from the uncomfortable sleep you had. You rub your blurry eyes, until you notice Somun’s arm laying across your lap. Your eyes widen and your face grows pink. You go to move his arm in a rush, but right before you grab him, you stop. You stare at his arm, relaxing yourself. You decide to slowly move his arm off of you, slipping out of the ring.
Making your way to your unofficial room, you bump into Ms.Chu. “Ah! I’m sorry, I’m just getting ready to leave. I have a lot to do today.” you say in a hurry. She looks at you with confusion, watching you grab your things and rush out of the door.
You make your way back to your apartment, hoping that today you can relax with no problems.
You change into clean clothes and open your laptop, wanting to catch up with friends. You haven’t spoken with your friends recently, let alone see them. You and your friend Suyeon decide to meet up at a local cafe to catch up. You apply some light makeup but while looking in the mirror, you notice the stubborn curl is still there. You run into your bathroom, attempting to style it to fit your natural hair, but each time, it bounces back. You sigh in annoyance, pinning it with a barrette. You walk out the apartment door, heading to the cafe.
30 minutes pass by at the cafe, laughing and catching up with your old friend. You are having an amazing time until a familiar face walks in. of course, it’s Somun. You decide to ignore him and focus on you and your friend. You just want one day of peace. This feeling didn’t last long. Somun walks up to you two, smiling. “Are you stalking me or something?” he asks jokingly. “Weren’t we the first ones here?” you ask. He nods his head, “Fair.” “I’ll catch up with you later.” you reply. Somun gives you a look of what seemed to be puppy eyes for just a quick second, then his eyes return to normal. You stare at him while he walks away, turning to your friend like nothing happened.
“Bye! Text me when you get home!” leaving your friend, walking in opposite directions. You turn the corner of the building and bump into someone. Before you can look, you start apologizing. You look up and see Somun, again. “Somun! Are you sure you’re not stalking me?” you yell in a teasing manner. He laughs, “Just wanted to make sure you’re safe.” You roll your eyes, but secretly, butterflies are growing inside of your stomach. “Ms.Chu is making lunch, do you want to join us?” he asks. “I just left, and I kind of wanted a day to myself. But thank you for the offer.” you reply. He shoots you his intentional-unintentional puppy eyes, his silent way of saying please. “Okay, I’ll go today, but tomorrow you better leave me alone.” Somun’s eyes soften and he smiles. He starts walking and you follow behind him.
You two have been walking for 30 minutes, despite the hideout being 10 minutes away. You notice that you’ve been walking in the opposite direction. “Somun, are we almost there?” you ask, interrupting your conversation. “5 more minutes.” “‘till we’re there?” “5 more minutes of being with you.” he says. You stop in your tracks, and stare at him. Your face immediately turns red. Somun seems to notice this as he laughs and turns his neck at you. “Is that a problem?” he asks. You shake your head no, biting back your smile. You continue to walk alongside Somun until you reach the place you’ve become familiar with. You two walk in, smiling and laughing together. You two sit at the table, not even acknowledging the counters in the room. While you two continue your conversation, Motak comes and slaps Somun on the back of the head. “Hello to you too!” he yells out. You and Somun laugh, ignoring the room once again.
Motak walks over to Ms.Chu. “Jesus, they’re acting like they’re in love or something. They hated each other the other night. But they have one sleepover and now they’re lovers.” Motak says in a whisper to Ms.Chu. She rolls her eyes at him and hits his arm. “Leave them alone, just be glad they’re not fighting anymore.” They look over at you two, watching you and Somun stare into each other's eyes, deep in conversation, laughing and flirting. Motak fake gags. Ms.Chu grabs the pot of stew and sits it right in the middle of you two, halting your conversation. “Okay okay okay, let’s eat! Y/N, go get Hana.” she says to you. You nod your head and go look for Hana, but while looking for her, you overhear Motak and Ms.Chu nagging Somun with questions.
“Didn’t you two hate each other the other day?” “Why were you two cuddling last night?” “Did you guys go on a date?” “You might as well abandon us for her!” “You can’t fall in love this quick!”
You laugh, overhearing their questions. You continue walking down the hall to find Hana. “Hana, lunch is ready if you’re ready to eat.” you tell her. She pauses her workout and stands up, walking with you back to the table. Hana sits next to Somun, like she normally does. But before you sit, Somun is staring at her like she has a death wish. She looks at you and back to Somun, nodding her head in realization, scooting to sit next to Ms.Chu. You laugh awkwardly and sit next to Somun.
You all talk and indulge in conversation for hours, getting to know each other. During this, you had told them about the obnoxious curl and the single dot on your finger. They had no answer, but they explained Yung to you, and how summoning works. You feel grateful that they decided to share this information with you. You look at the time, realizing it’s 9pm. Time flew by while you were eating and hanging out with everyone. You stand up, announcing that it’s time for you to go. The counters nod, but Hana and Somun are shooting each other a look. Hana then shoots up, “Why don’t you stay here?” she says, shooting an obvious wink at the other counters. “She’s right! It’s getting late!” Ms.Chu says. By now, you can see right through them; but they are all horrible liars. Motak fake yawns, getting up from the table walking into your ‘unofficial’ room. “Motak! That’s my room!” you yell. He pretends not to hear you and slams the door shut. You look back at the table, seeing that everyone has left except Somun. He looks at you before you shut him down. “No! I am not sleeping in the boxing ring again!” you yell out. Somun laughs, “I wasn’t going to suggest that,” he says. You shoot him a confused look.
You are now laying in his bed, only a pillow dividing you two. You lay there with your eyes wide open, being able to hear your own heartbeat in the silence. With Somun laying beside you, you think back to all of the interactions you two have had together. First you were enemies, then you didn’t speak for months, and now you’re laying in the same bed as him with nothing but a pillow separating your bodies from touching. Somun groans, rolling over to face you. Throwing the pillow across the room, wrapping his arm around your waist. Your eyes widen, while you stare at his closed eyes. His touch instantly calmed you. You embrace his touch once more, admiring his face while he sleeps beside you. You feel a smile growing onto your face, now hearing your heartbeat 10x clearer. You hesitantly cup his face, “Goodnight, Somun.” you whisper, while closing your eyes.
As soon as you begin to drift into sleep, you feel Somun move around again. You try to ignore it, but his constant rustling around is not allowing you to sleep. You sit up, whining, “Somun, why do you keep moving around?” you ask. “I can’t sleep.” You ask in a panic, “Have you been awake this whole time?” “Yes” he replies. You fall back onto the soft pillow, covering your face from embarrassment. “So you heard what I said?” you ask through your hands. “I can’t hear you when you're covering your face.” he says teasingly. You sit up again, now facing him. The only thing illuminating his face are the city lights. “You heard me say goodnight? and you felt me cupping your face? you also purposely threw the pillow! this is not fair!-“ You are cut off mid sentence, but instead of being interrupted, you are silenced by Somun crashing his lips onto yours. You close your eyes, embracing the moment. Somun pulls away, his face a shade of light pink. “Now you can relax. Go to sleep.” he says nonchalantly. You stare at him in shock. “Did you just….” you trail off. “Kiss you? yes, do you want me to do it again?” he asks. Before you can answer, Somuns hand is on your waist, bringing his lips slowly to yours once again.
You pull away, still not processing what just happened. “Now seriously, go to sleep! You’ll be tired tomorrow.” he says while laying back down. You follow his action laying down beside him, this time with no border between you two. You hesitate, but you slowly move his arm to caress your waist; falling asleep together under the city lights.
*time skip*
It’s been 6 months since you joined the counters, and 7 months since you and Somun started officially dating. You have moved in with the counters now since you’re here everyday, and also, your landlord increased your rent. You train hard everyday so that the counters will finally allow you to fight one day. Over the past 6 months, you have found 5 new curls and 2 new dots on your fingers; one on your pinky and one of your ring finger. You have learned to summon territories as well, it takes 3 nosebleeds and an inhaler though. The counters have always been by your side, helping and guiding you.
You are so glad to have been accepted into such a wonderful space, and have a wonderful boyfriend. You don’t know where you would be if you never found them.
Though being evil was the worst time of your life, you feel a sense of thankfulness. You would have never been where you are now. You wouldn’t be dating Somun, you wouldn’t be helping Hana with her hair and makeup, you wouldn’t be training with Motak, and you wouldn’t be helping Ms.Chu prepare dinner each night.
You are beyond grateful for where you are right now; and it’s all thanks to Somun for believing in you.

Just friends !
warnings: drinking
genre/type: fluff, somun x fem!reader, !counter Y/N,
wc: 1.2k
synopsis: Hana invited DoHwi to meet everyone. Once everyone starts drinking, this leads to a confession that everyone has been anticipating.
title track: Can I go back - MC MONG ft Kim Sejeong
a/n: hi everyoneeee :3 I hope you're all doing good and had a great holiday season! I haven't written in a while, but Somun has been intruding my brain recently, so I wanted to write this request I had! thank you @acupnoodle for the request! I hope you enjoy it <3
You and the counters sit at the kitchen table awaiting Hana to bring DoHwi home for you all to meet. He knows nothing about you all being counters, including Hana.
You and Somun help Ms.Chu set the table while Motak keeps teasing Hana about her long lost lover. “He’s not my boyfriend! He’s just an old friend from school!” she says in defense. “If he was just a ‘friend’, why are you bringing him home to meet your family?” he questions. Hana stays silent and rolls her eyes, punching Motak in the arm. “Stop teasing me and go help them set the table.” she says while walking to her room.
Motak rubs his bicep, staring at Hana in disbelief. “What has gotten into her…” he whines. “Maybe if you didn’t tease her for 3 hours straight she would be acting differently.” you speak up. “Hey, I was just asking questions!” he says. “Yeah, annoying and personal questions.” Somun says. Motak sighs out, “Wow.. is everyone anti-Motak today?” he cries out. You all laugh as you set the final dishes on the table.
–
“Guys, this is DoHwi. We went to the same school a few years ago.” she says as if you all don’t know every detail about him already. “and this is Ms.Chu, Somun, Motak and Y/N.”
DoHwi bows and everyone says their greetings. He joins you all at the table, sitting next to Hana. Before the conversation can start again, you are already whipping out 3 bottles of Soju. You offer Dohwi some, but he declines. “Thank you, but I don’t drink.” he says politely. Somun and Ms.Chu pressure him into “just a sip”, and that one sip eventually turns into 15 sips.
You all are at the table drunkenly laughing and getting to know DoHwi. You start feeling a slight headache coming on so you naturally lay your head on Somuns shoulder. Somun pays no attention to this as this is the norm, but everytime this happens, a light shade of pink creeps onto his cheeks.
The whole night the attention has been on DoHwi and Hana, so he decides to shift the topic of conversation onto you and Somun.
“So how long have you been with Somun, Y/N?” he asks. You pick your head up from Somuns shoulder with wide eyes. “Together? With him? Oh my god no.” you say through a stutter. Somun lets out a breathy laugh in agreement, “Yeah, no way I’d ever date her.”
The table falls silent after the mini panic. Somun clears his throat, breaking the loud and thick silence. “Yeah guys! You two are so cute together! Are you sure there’s nothing going on?” Motak says while leaning back in his chair, crossing his arms.
An angry pout grows onto your face. Through slurred words you mutter, “I am not dating Somun! We. Are. Just. Friends!” After raising your voice, the headache comes back faster than ever, and you faint onto Somuns lap.
Somun stares at you while you whine, “Ugh.. Somunie, my head hurts so bad. I think too much I drank.” you say rubbing your head. Somun awkwardly laughs and looks back at the table staring at him with half smiles. “I think you meant to say you drank too much.” he laughs. His face grows into a bright red as he tries to pull you off of him. You whine out as you slowly move your head off his lap.
DoHwi tilts his head with a smile. “Just friends?”
“Yessss.” you say, exaggerating your words. You shouldn’t have taken that last shot. Now you are entirely too drunk and can barely think straight. Thankfully, Somun didn’t drink as much as you.
“We are just close friends. There’s nothing going on between us.” he says as a final statement as a way to change the topic; but knowing how much the counters love to tease, that’s not happening.
You say under your breath, “Pfft..nothing going on.” you mock. Somuns eyes widen. “Okay! I think it’s Y/N’s bedtime!” he says avoiding the immense embarrassment. Somun goes to grab you shoulder but you shove him off. “I’m fine here.” you say. Somun sighs in slight frustration but lets you have your way, as he always does.
45 minutes have passed and the conversation has finally made its way onto a different topic.
“So… Are you and Hana dating?” Somun asks DoHwi. He laughs, “No, we are just friends.” Ms.Chu and Motak sigh, “Why can’t young people just admit they like each other.” Motak speaks up.
Hana and DoHwi turn red, as well as you and Somun. Ms.Chu and Motak laugh, successfully embarrassing you all.
You stand up, barely keeping your balance. “Fine! If no one will, I will.” you say. Everyone looks at you in confusion as you turn your attention to Somun, grabbing his face with both hands. “Somunie.. I like you.” you mutter out. Time freezes as you just confessed your feelings to Somun. The table falls silent as everyone is staring at you and Somun. You throw your arms up, “There, are you guys happy now?” you pout, sitting back down.
Motak stands up and starts clapping. “I knew it! There was definitely something going on!” Somun gives Motak the death stare, but everyone is too drunk to notice. “So, how long has this been going on?” Ms.Chu asks.
Somun sighs out in defeat, knowing there’s no way he can get himself out of this situation. “Alright look, I didn’t know she liked me! Like we said earlier, there’s nothing going on!”
“Do you like her back at least?” DoHwi asks. You whine and wrap your arm around Somuns bicep, “Yeah Somun, do you like me too?” you ask, teasing him, secretly wanting to know if your feelings are going to be reciprocated. Somun sighs and sits in silence for a while, until he speaks up. “Yes Y/N. I like you too.” he says, patting your head.
The table cheers at the sudden confessions. Hana raises her glass in a toast. “To our new couple!” she says as the others clink their glasses.
–
You wake up at 3am in Somuns bed. Looking around in a slight daze, you find him asleep on the floor with nothing but a thin blanket and a stuffed animal. You step carefully out of bed, sitting on the floor next to him. You play with his hair as he sleeps. “You know Somun, I meant what I said earlier.” you pause “I really do like you. Like really really like you.” you say through a smile. You play with his hair for a little longer before getting up to go back to bed. A hand grabs your arm and pulls you back. “I like you too.” he says through a raspy voice. You smile and grab his hand, rubbing your thumb along the back side of his hand.
You stand up and grab a thicker blanket off the bed, laying it atop him. You lean over and place a small kiss upon his forehead. “I’m glad you feel the same. I’ve liked you ever since I joined the team.”
Somun lets out a tired moan in response. You laugh, knowing he is way too tired for conversation right now.
You place another kiss, this time upon his lips. Somuns face turns red, despite him practically being asleep. You smile.
“Goodnight Somun.”
