Ghost blobs lead someone to Danny (Part 2)
When Tim entered the Batcave in the morning he didn't know what to expect. Alfred had mentioned that Bruce barely left the cave after coming home later than everyone else. But weirdly he didn't sound upset about it.
He wasn't expecting a loud chirp. Was this a weird new security measure? A prank? A flash of green above him flew away toward the batcomputer. He quickly ran over calling out. "Bruce?"
Tim stared at the bat computer. Bruce was working on... something but what the heck were the green blobs floating around him. Were they humming? "Hey Bruce? Are you aware of the blobs?" "Yes, they came with a victim I found last night." "Last night? They're here?" "Due to their appearance and the nature of their injuries. I assumed it would be safest to treat him here."
Tim looked at the monitor containing a report on the victim. Found in an abandoned warehouse with severe injuries along with 'blob ghosts' and the victim claiming to be a ghost. The victim or Danny didn't have any vital signs but was still conscious.
Danny's claim of being bad at being a ghost was explained when the boy transformed into a living breathing human with vital signs. Sewing the wounds were difficult because not five minutes later the stitches were dissolved. Not even the sutures meant for Superman lasted. That's when the blob ghosts did something to the sutures. They gave off a faint green glow, but they didn't dissolve like the rest of the stitches so they had to resolve to using them for the rest of the injuries.
Last part of the report was far more clinical then the rest. Which was cataloging the injuries. At first it was thought to be from an autoposy, but... There are clear signs of struggle, Danny was obviously strapped down with something that had burned his skin. He was vivisected.
Tim stopped reading it and looked away, some of the blobs turned their attention to him. The humming was louder now, it was rather soothing to hear. One floated closer to Him. He cautiously reached out to it and brushed it gently on its head.
The blob liked it apparently and leaned into his hand. The others seemed to take this as an invitation and swarmed Tim. "Uh Bruce!" "Oh that's normal. They'll calm down... eventually." The man spoke matter of factly and he could just barely see a smile creeping on to the man's face.
Traitor
A few of the blobs were grabbing his sleeve and tugging. They barely had any strength. If this was how much they bite, Tim could see why Bruce allowed the creatures into the cave. And it seemed they were leading him somewhere. Just like in Bruce's report, Tim glanced at the man once before following the ghost blobs.
They arrived in the medbay, where Danny was left in one of the more private rooms meant for long term recovery. Tim heard the same chirp from before. But this time there was a responding one. So it was a sort of alarm then, one to warn of an intruder and the responding one must be to say he wasn't a threat.
The new blobs greeted him like the ones before. But they did get out of his face to let him see Danny. The boy was incredibly pale and still. Tim thought he could be dead if it wasn't for the slow rise and fall of his chest.
His heart rate did not improve much and his body temp was still worryingly low. Tim hoped that it was normal for Danny. Tim was hoping to get some case work done before going to his office, but the blobs seemed content to have Tim there. Tim does have a laptop, so he could call Tam saying he's taking slow day. It would probably be for the best if someone was with Danny when he wakes up.
#dcxdp#dpxdc#dp x dc#dc x dp#Tim passed the vibe check#So he gets to meet their boy#Tim is wondering if Danny has blue eyes because if he does Bruce is never going to hear the end of it#Tim doesn't get much work done because the blobs are like cats that walk in front of you screen

𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐘 𝐁𝐎𝐌𝐁 𝐀𝐔
Pairing; Dark!Club Owner Ari x Shy!Reader
Warnings; dark themes, unbalanced power dynamic, daddy kink, thumb sucking, no smut but the rules still apply, Minors please DNI!!
Summary; Ari visits your home, but how does he know the address?
authors note: this is literally like 1.4k words but i honestly did not want to finish this so i quickly scanned over what i had previously written in my drafts. Unfortunately i have no motivation to write anymore and this will likely be my last piece of work, but due to high demand i tried my best because i owe it to you all❤️ apologies if this does not reach the standards you had hoped for.
𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝟏
Your head pounded as you rolled over in bed, your greasy hair sticking to the sides of your face, drool crusted around your dry lips, barely any memory of last nights activities. Reaching over to turn on the small clock on your bedside table, the time flashed 1pm. Shit.
Usually on Sundays you and Grandma would go to church, growing up in a Catholic household it was basically mandatory. She would wake you up bright and early before you both took a leisurely walk to the church garden, she had always said connecting with nature was one of the most beautiful gifts life granted us. Panic surged through you, the realisation that she had infact, not, woken you up.
You paused at the sound of voices in the kitchen below, Grandma didn't have many visitors since Pops died, she preferred it that way. For you? not so much. She was always trying to convince you to get out more, find yourself a nice husband, settle down and have kids. Surprisingly, she wasn't against you drinking alchohol, she wanted you to have fun with your friends, while you were still young, and while you still could.
Slowly you sat up in bed, a glass of water and advil rested on table which you hadn't noticed earlier, assuming Grandma had placed them there, you swallowed the pills down gently as you stood, getting changed into a nice sundress, the white and lightpink pattern fitting tight to your figure. Stumbling slightly to the bathroom you brushed your teeth and tied your hair in a ponytail, held together with a pink bow. Giving yourself one last look over, ensuring you looked presentable for your guests, you made your way downstairs.
Your body took a screenshot as you turned the corner, the sight of Ari and a man you hadn’t met before casually floating around in your kitchen caused you to let out a frightened yelp, alerting them of your presence. However, they didn’t seem shocked, almost as if they knew you weren’t in your room anymore…without even looking at you. The men were seated in the small room at the table, both of them turning to face you.
"A-Ari? What are you doing here? H-how do you know where i live? Wh-Where’s my Grandma?" you questioned continuously, your eyes wide in confusion and your body shaking in fear, how could he know where you lived? You must’ve accidentally let it slip last night, which was very unlike you, you didn’t usually share your address with strangers you just met…
The other man turned his waist to look at you, his long brown hair framing his sharp jawline, his physique nearly the same size as Ari's, of course nobody compared to him though. Ari's broad shoulders still towering the mystery mans.
He smirked "My, my, she's trembling already, she almost looks shell shocked."
Ari looked at him with a bored expression "Real funny, Buck." Before he turned to you, pulling out an extra seat at the kitchen table.
"Don’t worry about your Grandma, she’s perfectly safe, Bucky here payed for her to eat at one of his most expensive restaurants, a whole afternoon of nothing but the best services in the city, free of charge. And i thought i told you to call me daddy from now on princess. Take a seat." He smiled, patting Bucky on the shoulders, although it didn't quite meet his eyes, while offering you a seat at your own table…in your own home. His words didn’t bring much comfort yet you let out a sigh of relief knowing your sweet granny was safe and sound, probably having the time of her life.
"Yes d-daddy."
Your eyes flickered to his partners, "Buck's". He said nothing yet his smirk told it all. Before you sat down you tugged at your dress in discomfort, your thighs sticking together due to your tense figure.
"Don't mind him. It'll be as if he's not even here. Now, i got you a gift, baby. Drove all the way across the city to give it to ya' "
"Y-You got me? A gift? Why?" You stammered, hurling more questions at him in anticipation, or nervousness, or both. You couldn't really tell.
"Enough questions, open it." He said in avoidance while sliding a medium size box towards you with his ringed index finger, the wrapping paper a light shade of pink, just to your liking and scuffed around the edges, a clear sign that he had no help.
"You uhm, you really didn't have to do this." You murmered while tearing the paper gently, revealing the newest model of iphone. Your eyes widening in shock at the expense of the gift.
“You like it?” Ari smiled, waiting patiently for your response.
“I-I don’t even know what t-to say. Thank you so much.”
Your eyes began to water at the ‘kindness’ of his gift, nobody had ever bought you something so expensive before, and you never had the money to afford it yourself, your Sunday job at the library not exactly paving your way to wealth.
“You’re very welcome sweetheart. Hey Buck, Why don’t you go wait in the car for a sec.” Ari subtly commands.
“No prob, dog.” Bucky smirks from the doorway on his way out.
You lift your thumb to your mouth and begin biting and sucking. It was a habit of yours, an oral fixation. Sometimes you did it simply out of boredom, others out of nervousness. This was one of those times.
Ari groans under his breath at the sight, his cock straining against his slacks within seconds.
“Here, don’t wanna’ mess up your pretty hands, baby.” he mutters, removing your thumb and replacing it with his own.
Precum leaks from his tip at the sensation of your tongue around his digit, wishing it was his cock your lips were wrapped around instead. You closed your eyes as you suckled on his thumb, it felt much better than when you used your own, you didn’t know why. But you did know that fluttery feeling in your tummy was back. Your juices creating a damp patch in your panties, unbeknownst to you.
The sound of your little whimpers of pleasure caused Ari to let out an almost guttural growl as he watched you squeeze your thighs together, trying to relieve tension you didn’t even know was there.
"Fuck, baby. You don't wanna' know what that shit does to a man like me."
Your eyebrows creased together in a frown, not understanding what he meant by 'man like me'. But you'd learn... soon enough.
“Why don’t you come sit on my knee, baby.” He half asked, knowing it wasn’t really a question, more of a demand.
You scrambled, climbing into his lap, yet the moment your plush thighs met his own you felt something hard and thick underneath your ass, you squirmed trying to move away from the foreign object poking into you. Ari was quick to grip your hips with his free hand, stilling your movements and letting out a deep growl, sending shivers down your spine.
“Daddy i think your keys are poking me.” you whined with a frown on your face.
“That ain’t my keys, pretty girl.”
“What is it then?” You questioned as the uncomfortable object continued to poke the underneath of your thighs.
“Nothin’ for you to worry about, pumpkin.” Ari drawled, desperately trying to hold back from pulling up your cute little dress and fucking you dumb. Suddenly, the door slams open yet again causing you to jolt, Ari’s grip on your thighs tightens.
“Boss, we got a problem.” Bucky calls, peeking his head inside, a serious look on his face.
“Can it wait?” Ari sighs.
“Unfortunately not…it’s the Fowlers.”
Ari’s cool manor drops immediately, his strong arms lift you out of his lap and onto your own chair, you land with a squeak.
His hand reaches for your chin, forcing you to look him in the eyes.
“My number’s already in the phone, you will call me if you need anything. Gotta’ go now princess, i’ll see you soon, yeah?” He muttered, tracing his thumb around your plump lips.
You nod with shaky limbs, the determination on his features sending shocks through your system.
“Good girl.”
And with a kiss on your forehead he was gone.
You let out a breath of air you didn’t even realise you were holding. Oddly, you were sad Ari was gone. A tugging sensation filled your chest, almost as if your body was aching to run after him, to follow him as far as the wind would take you.
But you didn’t.
With a sigh your feet began to shuffle back to bed, knowing your grandma wouldn’t be happy when she got home when she realised you hadn’t done any of your chores. But at that moment you didn’t care.
As you hit the covers and drifted into sleep, you dreamed of him.
You dreamt of the Devil.

'La Princesa De Mi Corazon⋆˙⟡♡
E42!Miles Morales x Daddy's Girl!BlackFem!Reader Ingredients: Sugar, kisses, n a lil bit of smiles ! TWs: Cursing, realistic teenage dates (he didn't spend no 5k cmon now) W/C: 2.4k A/N: This can be read as an autistic reader if u squint rllly hard ! Another lovely request I got!! Enjoy luvs
For as long as you can remember, you've never actually been told the word "no" by your father. When your mother didn't wanna get something for you, you'd just ask your dad! Since you were the youngest and first daughter in your parent's long line of sons, with you having 4 older brothers, there were times when you didn't even have to ask, it was just yours before you could even think about it. Clothes, phones, shoes, makeup, perfume, all of it was yours. You were a daddy's money girl, with everything in the world right at your fingertips. So naturally, you tended to avoid serious relationships with boys due to your insanely high standards that had been curated since birth. Until you met him, Miles.
Miles was the complete opposite of you and your aesthetic. Where you were giddy and childish, he was serious and mature. You possessed everything under the sun in the shade of pink, where he barely had anything besides black and purples in his closet. Originally he didn't fuckin' like you, like, at all. He thought you were a 'spoiled air-headed dressed up money drowned bimbo' due to his experience in 'working' with rich people. They all seemed to act the same way and wanted the exact same thing, money or power.
But that view dropped immediately when he saw you interact with others. You weren't rude, you definitely weren't stupid, and you were the kindest most giving person he had ever seen before. People all in your circle constantly praised you for how sisterly you were, handing out gifts and words of wisdom like candy. Your only 'flaw' was your ignorance, living blind to the world around you due to being so heavily protected by your father. Sure, there was crime everywhere and New York was a walking murderhouse, but you didn't know that!
You were casually talking to one of your best friends Brenna when you bumped into someone, knocking you straight on your ass and causing him to stumble back a little. "I am so so sorry! I wasn't watching where I was going!" you empathized as you picked yourself up and immediately offered to help the stranger. He shoved his hands in his hoodie pocket as he spoke, his voice quiet and steady as he did. "Oh my bad, It's all good. Just be careful." You gave him a warm smile and a brief nod before setting off again, assuming that would be the last time you two spoke. And damn were you wrong.
The next time you'd see Miles, you were at the mall the following Saturday with a shit ton of bags in your hands. You practically skipped through the concourses of the mall, smiling and giggling with Brenna. You were in a brand new off-white dress and rounded the corner to see Miles waiting for a Cinnabon in line. As soon as you saw the blue and white logo of the bakery, and the smell of sweet sugar and baked goods kissed the tip of your nose, you stopped what you were doing and stood behind the familiar set of twin braids. "Hey, Miles!"
Miles looked over his shoulder, his eyes widening a fraction when he saw over 10 bags on each of your arms. "Yo…what's up with all your bags? You don't feel your circulation gettin' cut off?" he asked with a bewildered expression, "Damn, how much money you spent here?" he gawked. Truth is, you weren't sure. All your dad said was to have fun and he didn't necessarily…give you an amount to spend, he just handed you the card and told you the PIN. "I actually don't know. This has to be a minimum of 600 dollars, Daddy just kinda told me to have fun with it!" You shrugged like that was completely normal.
Miles stared for a minute, analyzing the 20 bags you had in total from various stores. he sighed with a small smirk, shaking his head in disbelief as you sort of merged with his spot in line. Neither of you realized, but you unknowingly recruited Miles in your shenanigans at the mall as soon as you both left the bakery with a series of sweets. You three set off to the nearby sneaker outlet, buying everyone a minimum of 4 pairs of sneakers to match every outfit they'd ever make. If Miles didn't know before, he knew now that you were the gift god when it came to generosity and Daddy's money.
His entire perspective of you changed that day, with you more actively talking his ear off and surprising him with random shit you got with your dad's credit card. He knew then and there that your standards were sky high and anyone who ever fell in love with you would be up for a bullfight ahead of them. He saw how your dad showered you with absolutely anything you asked for, with you even having a real-life princess crown from 2011 plated with morganite and rubies stationed in a plastic case on a high shelf in your room. But as he spent more time hanging out with you or spending time over at your house with your brothers, it hit him like a fucking truck. He knew whoever found themself head-over-heels for the pretty pink princess of her family would be in for a fucking hell of a time, he just never expected it to be HIM.
The day he realized he loved you was just like any other day, with you speeding up to him whenever you saw him. Your usual poofy dress skirt flows behind you like something out of a Disney animation. As soon as he knew to grab you so you didn't send the both of you falling to the ground, he felt a sudden warmth in his face. No, not you smushing your face against his as you gave him a spine-breaking hug, but a new kind of warmth that screamed danger. He suddenly became aware of your perfectly fitting style and the way each of the features on your face harmonized perfectly to create the perfection that is you.
Even though you came from completely different backgrounds, you never ONCE in your life dared say something about his situation. There were nights when he would just watch you as the prowler, skipping through his neighborhood like you didn't hear any of the gunshots, screams, explosions, or see anything wrong at all with where you currently were. It's not that you didn't notice, but you were completely aware that not everyone was as fortunate as you were, so you had no right to look at situations that weren't identical to yours any differently. And despite how "uppity" you looked on the surface, you truly thought of everyone as a new friend.
You, on the other hand, were crushing HARD. On some, you actively got quieter and sometimes just shut the fuck up entirely when Miles was nearby. You knew that you were probably making a mistake by genuinely loving someone so fully in this age of infidelity and communication issues, but you couldn't help it! He was just so pretty and listened to everything you had to say and he never once asked you for anything! Ever! You didn't know how Miles would behave in a relationship, but you damn sure weren't prepared for it.
When Miles asked you out on a date, you were a squealing mess. You threw on a pretty pink dress and quickly threw your goddess braids into a quick bun. When your dad watched as you eagerly checked your outfit in the mirror, he was a little taken aback when you told him that you were going on a date. He gave you a warm smile, telling you to be safe and if he tries anything that he'll blow his fuckin' top off. You laughed at him being so overprotective, calmly explaining to him that Miles wasn't like that at all.
You silently pondered where Miles was planning on taking you. You didn't want your first date to be all fancy, because that made them look like they were trying way too hard. But you also didn't wanna sit in some random diner, either…you didn't know what you wanted. All you did was hope that he paid attention to any of your conversations as you patiently waited on your velvety couch. You immediately perked up at the sound of the doorbell, flying to the door and waiting a couple of seconds before swinging it open.
"Mírate! La princesa de Nueva York! You love your dresses, huh?" He asked with a small smile, bracing himself as you dove straight into his arms. You giggled as you did a small little spin, showcasing the new silk dress. "I was debating on a different babydoll dress I have or this one. This one just felt more fitting!" you shrugged as you closed the front door behind the both of you. Miles had no idea what a babydoll dress was, but he made sure to let you know that you looked stunning in this seashell shade of pink. You follow closely behind Miles, loosely wrapping both of your arms around his left arm as you begin to break down the various types of dresses, and which one was your favorite.
"I didn't even know dresses had names…What's your favorite kind?" He asked with a small amused smile. Not only was this the first time someone had actively listened to you rant about your love of dresses, but he made an effort to even ask what your favorite one was? Lord, he was in for an earful. And he clung to every single word you said like it was the sweetest of melodies. When you finished your long-winded rant regarding pink flowy sundresses, he nodded with a bashful grin. "So a puff-sleeved peasant dress made of chiffon?"
You nodded eagerly as you realized he had been listening to you the entire time. "Yeah! I drew it in my sketchbook a little while back, I think I'll show you when we walk back." You chirped as you slowly began to approach what looked like the most gorgeous candy store of your life. It smelled like heaven and looked just like eye candy. You didn't even get the chance to point before Miles gently guided you through the frosted glass double doors. You beamed as you immediately set off (taking him with you) toward some of the pastries.
You filled up two mini bags with various types of candy, croissants, and two rock candies, one in purple and one in pink. "Miles, what's your favorite candy?" You asked as you scooped gummy sharks into your bag. "Uhh…those sour airhead stripes," he replied as he grabbed two near-frozen sodas from the wide commercial fridge. You got two packs of his favorite candy and slipped it into one of your candy bags, skipping over to him to pay for everything at the counter. You rummaged through your bag for your wallet, looking up to realize Miles already had planted his card in the reader.
"C'mon, this is like, so much stuff! Let me pay!" you insisted as you went to open your wallet. He gave you a firm glare, zipping your entire wallet closed and stuffing it back in your bag. "You good? I'm taking YOU on a date, not the other way around" he asked as you intertwined your hand with his, allowing him to lead you back out of the candy store. You played back his words in your mind, processing each syllable and just how much it meant to you. You giggled to yourself as Miles told you that you were gonna go rollerskating before he took you back home!
There was no actual problem, you loved the idea of going skating with Miles! The issue was…you couldn't skate. Miles laughed loudly as he watched you attempt to meet him on the rink, trying not to bust your ass on the soft and neon carpet. You froze in complete terror, holding both arms out and vaguely resembling a confused cat with its ears back. Miles glided over to you between a fit of giggles, holding out his hand for you to hold onto.
You firmly grasped his hand, holding on for dear life as he slowly guided you to the shiny hardwood floors of the rink. "Miles I'm gonna fucking cry," you state, wide-eyed and afraid as your legs seem to weaken as he gently pushes you forward. "Alright, hold on mama. I gotcha, just drag your legs forward," he instructs as he glides forward like clockwork. He takes both of your hands within his, laughing as you fight back the urge to scream as you look down at the ground. "And here I thought you loved skating!" he laughed.
"I do! I swear I do! But I can't…oh my god I'm gonna faint…" you sighed as you wrapped both arms firmly around his torso, squeezing him like your life depended on it. "Alright, c'mon. Te ayudaré." he shrugs as he propels the both of you forward as slow as he knows how to. It was amazing, and your face lit up when you realized how fun it was to 'rollerskate'. You hadn't realized when, but you naturally picked up the rhythm of Miles's legs, adapting his style of skating slowly but surely. And when you realized you weren't even holding on to him anymore, your face lit up brighter than any star in the world.
When you packed everything up and returned both of your skates, you were giggling like a child and buzzed off nothing but sugar. You wildly explained how much fun you had and how you felt like a flying fairy on the skating rink, thanking Miles over and over for being so fun. He dropped you off at your house, holding a brief conversation with your parents as you skipped upstairs to find your sketchbook. You eagerly showed him the plethora of dresses you had cooked up in your head, explaining every one of them.
"Damn, you really are a princess huh?" He chuckled as you flipped through the many beta designs of dresses comparable to that of Princess Diana's. "I'll just have to get you one of these next time then huh? Tú eres la Princesa de mi corazon." he chuckled as you waved goodbye. You didn't know what he was saying, but you couldn't help but beam at the affectionate energy radiating from his words. He gave a formal goodbye to your parents before disappearing as swiftly as he arrived.
"I like that kid. He's very proper." You heard your mother exclaim. "Will he be over more often?"
You nodded eagerly as you ran up to your room to scream more into your pillow.

you met him in the aftermath.
♡ there was an online support group for survivors, and after you barely escaped with your life, you needed all the help you could get.
♡ most of the members were nice enough. there was a lot of comforting, a lot of 'it's not your fault' and a lot of just trying to cheer each other up.
♡ there was one member in particular that always, always responded to your posts and comments.
♡ the user didn't have an account; you always simply chalked it up to them being technologically illiterate, or maybe they were simply forgetful.
♡ perhaps that was a bit naïve; if they could always remember your posts, who were they to forget having an account?
♡ but that didn't matter. they always signed off the same way-with a single initial, K.
♡ maybe it was a bit sappy. but having someone in your corner felt nice, after everything.
♡ ultimately, they were harmless and sweet, so having them around in your little slice of the internet was fine. ♡ they always worked double-time to cheer you up.
maybe K was a bit jealous. ♡ when you would speak with other group members, K would like your responses.
♡ sometimes, though, they'd pitch in; ignoring the other user entirely and simply talking with you as though you were the one who started the conversation.
♡ you tried to ignore it. other members on the forum didn't say anything, so you assumed it wasn't too strange.
but then they started to become more intimate. ♡ they would bring up small things that felt too strange to be a coincidence.
♡ they'd recommend you relax by watching that show you just started, or snacking on some of your favourite food, or taking a nap because it 'seemed' you were working to hard.
♡ they were personal enough to make your stomach churn, but it was not enough that you weren't able to reason it away.
♡ they were still so sugary sweet as well, and despite the unnerving nature of their kindness, the support meant everything.
♡ in a forum where everyone is upset and needing help at once, having someone that focused on you was nice.
♡ because at the end of the day, when you went into your bed, there always felt like something was wrong.
♡ the room was too small. you thought of what you did in the city, what you didn't, who you didn't save and who you damned.
♡ the sheets were too warm. your window had a shadow over it. the closet, was it cracked open? did something move around when you weren't looking?
♡ part of you knew in your heart of hearts that it was simply Raccoon City scaring you like a ghost. because if it wasn't, then what was haunting you?
you needed to get out. so, you got a job.
♡ at first, it was hell on earth. just leaving your home was hard enough; but going outside for upwards of eight hours was horrifying.
♡ your manager and coworker, however, were kind. they knew what you had gone through, and didn't rush you. the regulars were sweet, giving short words of encouragement.
♡ maybe this wasn't so bad.
♡ courtesy of the little bakery you worked at now, you were fed. you were getting paid. you began getting more sunshine, cleaning up more, feeling more accomplished.
♡ you started to stop posting.
♡ you had other things to focus on, now. you were considering getting a pet; so you had to save up money.
♡ but after a week and a half of not going on the forum at all, you decide to make an update.
K had made an account.
♡ oh, they had made one; they had made it to send hundreds upon hundreds of pleas into your messages.
♡ 'please, you mean so much', they begged. 'talk to me!', they wept.
♡ maybe they assumed you had offed yourself. it was possible.
♡ you took a second to look through all of them, feeling warm at first. K was sweet and kind and so soft, apparently.
♡ but with every message, they seemed to take one inch closer to strange, to creepy, to outright alarming.
♡ "please don't do anything rash!"
♡ "you don't know how much you mean to me!"
♡ "i know it's hard, but hang on for me!"
♡ "i need to know you're okay!"
♡ "whatever it is, i can help, please just let me in"
♡ "is it that job? it's the job, right? they're working you to death"
♡ "please just respond!"
♡ the horror seemed to grow with every message, up until one from just an hour or two ago;
"i just love you too much, i think" ♡ something isn't right.
♡ ...
♡ maybe it's time that you blocked K.
♡ you blocked their account, knowing it probably wouldn't do much. if they knew about your job, then what else did they know about?
♡ but you didn't hear much after that. there was a day or two where you were scared to even go to work, but that's alright.
you have a new regular.
♡ he's very sweet, almost achingly so; whenever he came into the bakery, he seemed equal parts nervous and bashful. he always tipped exceedingly well, and his order usually was some sort of new health option the owner was trying out.
♡ he wasn't just nice, though; he was pretty as well. he had a cute chin and his hair seemed always soft, and he spoke offhand about how he liked to work out because of his job.
♡ He was always happy to talk, but knew to leave if there was a line and didn't stay any longer than he was wanted.
♡ you didn't even know his name for a good month; but he often took liberty dropping yours.
♡ when you asked how he knew, he had a bright flush on his face before admitting that he had asked your coworker.
♡ how sweet!
♡ you found his name was Leon S. Kennedy, who was self-dubbed as "rookie cop extraordinaire".
♡ he began to clearly go out of his way to come into the bakery, sometimes coming in after clear workouts with a gym bag over his shoulder and a tank top on. was visiting a bakery after a workout counterintuitive?
♡ absolutely.
♡ but you don't mind. it's nice, seeing a cute face coming into work. and it always feels like he's doing it just for you. quite the special creature you are!
♡ he held a constant enthusiasm to talk to you, and it's enough to make your heart ache.
♡ the kicker comes when, offhand, he mentions Raccoon City; how he had gone to the police department for his first day and ended up saving a woman and a young girl from the apocalypse.
♡ instantly, your heartstrings are pulled because oh god. someone who understands. someone who did more than you could, has done more.
♡ you finally begin to get closer to him of your own accord. once or twice, you've even hinted at being single.
♡ each time you did, Leon would freeze; big blue eyes staring right at you with a pink flush that would anyone crumble. he even shook a little, like a small dog, and each time you'd have to laugh.
♡ it snaps him back to reality, and the conversation carries on.
but things are quiet on the eastern front.
♡ you haven't heard much from K since you blocked them. it's only natural, considering the steps taking. but sometimes, you wonder if K is still watching, what K really knew.
♡ maybe they were just an excellent guesser.
♡ but they've since gone silent. account or no, they're not saying anything anymore, and there's some semblance of peace.
♡ but you're still uneasy. something is still wrong.
♡ ...
♡ was your bed always this warm when you wake up?

What if? Fox was infatuated to unhealthy levels with MC, from the beginning (even before the kidnapping).
me when i flirt with an older man (he runs a human trafficking ring and has an anxious attachment style)
2000+ words, sfw, ren hana is a chubby chaser and no you will not change my mind
"Hey, what can I get for you?"
It was a cold day in December and he had been called to the office on a weekend due to a technical mishap from one of his staff the previous day. It was a day that he would have been annoyed, angry even, a day where he would have taken one step into the building and tore the head off the first person who dared speak to him.
But, for whatever reason, he always found his anger dissipated when he saw them.
The barista smiled, their soft, freckled cheeks dimpling with an expression that insinuated sincerity and sweetness, an innately trusting nature, traits so rare in Fox's profession, in the city that surrounded him, rare enough that he cherished and obsessed over them whenever he found them in someone.
He had been coming to this cafe every morning for weeks, not only because it was on the corner of his office in the financial district, a place close by where he could escape his moronic employees when he needed to, but because he found that he had to see their face to even feel slightly at ease on the more stressful days of work.
Just one look of their smile and hearing their voice was enough to settle him in an instant.
"Just a cup of coffee, please," Fox replied with a slight smile, jolted out of his train of thought, one of his ears twitching when they chuckled kindly.
"Well, yeah, I assumed," They said with another little chuckle, crooked teeth (so familiar, so sweet, wouldn't they look nice on the ground, scattered like pearls?) biting their lip to stop the chuckle from growing into a laugh. It was a quiet Saturday in the financial quarter, so they must have had time to banter with customers. "What kind?"
Fox smirked just a touch, one of his fangs hooking over his bottom lip.
He couldn't deny that he was a little curious about the young barista and what they were doing working in this part of the city (since, for one, they looked like they had a modicum of personality compared to everyone else who worked there).
They were a far cry from the kind of people he usually saw and interacted with on a day-to-day basis, soft when all he saw was hard, kind when all he saw was cruelty, and there was a certain, naive charm to them that Fox found almost magnetic.
He was always the obsessive type, falling in love with every pretty face who was nice to him, and years of therapy and unpacking his trauma never really stopped that obsession from blooming.
But what was the harm, really? What was so bad about a little crush and a few intrusive thoughts?
"Hmm…" He hummed thoughtfully, his tail idly wagging behind him. "Surprise me?"
"Adventurous. I like it." They chuckled again as they set to work on his drink. When they turned, it gave Fox a good opportunity to…assess their assets, his gaze scrutinous as he leaned against the counter, elbows up on the glass pastry display.
All things considered, their figure wasn't exactly remarkable, certainly not compared to the call girls and 'staff members' he was accustomed to working with. Average height (taller than him, but that wasn't hard), a heft to their hips and backside, a small (possibly bound) chest, and a constellation of acne scarring on their freckled cheeks…but he found himself drawn to them, regardless of all of that.
It had indeed been a cold day…but there was a certain warmth that he felt coming from the young barista that he hadn't felt in a long time.
Indeed, despite his violent intrusive thoughts, there was a part of him (buried beneath his hardened surface) that yearned for them.
He almost wanted to reach out and touch them, right then and there, the urge to simply embrace them, touch their skin, run his fingers along their cheek, dig his claws into them, pull their hair, break their jaw, make them bleed, make them cry, growing with every passing second.
But something stopped him, a sensible part of him that kept pulling him back from the brink of his obsession, his face remaining impassive as he continued to stare.
He probably looked like any normal, lecherous, older man, making advances on someone years younger than him. He could deal with that.
"You work around here?" They asked, making idle conversation as they steamed a jug of milk, a gust of steam fogging up their glasses.
"That I do," Fox replied with a nod, his golden eyes glinting with amusement as he took in their form once again (they were cleaning their glasses with their shirt, making it ride up and expose the soft skin of their belly) and stood back from the counter, putting his hands in his pockets (adjusting his growing bulge). "Right around the corner, in fact. And you?" He asked curiously.
"I'm a student," They smiled, turning back towards him and putting their glasses back on. "Obviously. I mean, I'm a barista, that comes with the territory, right?" They laughed and Fox smiled, nodding again curtly. "I work the weekend shift when I can though, when it's nice and quiet."
"A student, huh?" Fox asked curiously, casually, raising a brow and running his tongue over one of his fangs, his ears tilting forward. His attention was torn between the barista's face as they spoke and the still-exposed flash of skin above the waistband of their jeans, a little fold of soft fat spilling over them. His eyes shone brightly as he continued to stare downwards. "What are you studying?" He asked, eyes quickly returning to their face so as not to look too obvious in his ogling.
"Criminal psychology," They replied, finishing up the coffee with a dusting of cinnamon and setting it on the counter in a to-go cup. They had him clocked as a businessman, then. "Postgrad."
"Criminal psychology?" Fox repeated, accepting the offered drink as he took the cup and raised it to his nose, inhaling the aroma as he spoke. "I'm curious, what sort of career are you hoping to move into with that?" He asked, tilting his head, his tail still wagging idly. "Not just after university, but after all of it?"
"I wanna work in rehabilitation," They said, tilting their own head and giving him a considered look, their dark eyes flitting from his well-groomed fox ears (beast-kin in the wild were still relatively rare, after all) and down his handsome face and his suit, admiring him casually, as any person did (and they often did). "And help people get back on their feet after prison."
"Rehabilitation, eh? Helping people get back on their feet…" Fox repeated their words again with a thoughtful look on his face, his wrinkles looking a little more pronounced as he thought over what they said. He took a sip of his coffee, meeting their gaze for a minute (noting when they smiled eagerly at him as if waiting for his approval). "Well, I think that's just wonderful….and a hard job, too. You must be pretty driven to want to do that."
"Yeah," They laughed, scraping back dyed hair behind their ears. "Tell me about it. It's really tough sometimes. But…" They bit their lip again, but despite their bashful expression (those crooked teeth digging into their soft skin, like he wanted to do), their eyes never left his. "I believe people deserve a second chance…everybody, even the worst people. We should do everything we can to make sure of that, and I want to be part of that. I want to help people."
Something about those words, their eyes on his, speaking to him as if those words were for him and him alone, made something tight catch in Fox's chest, and he almost spluttered a mouthful of hot coffee around the rim of the cup.
"Everyone…even the worst people," Fox said softly to himself, wiping his mouth clean as he glanced down at his shoes, hoping his expression made him look thoughtful instead of…well, complacent. "How very noble of you."
He ran his tongue over his teeth, tilting his head back while the barista typed his order into their register.
"Even people like me?" He then asked, his voice low in the back of his throat, golden eyes flitting upwards, half-lidded, as his brows knitted together with an ominous kind of consideration.
"What was that?" They looked up from the register, not catching what he said.
"Ah, it's nothing, nothing at all." He then said quickly with a subdued laugh and a casual smile. "This is lovely, by the way. What am I drinking?"
"Oh, it's just an oat milk latte," They chuckled with a shrug. "But…" They then continued in a quiet whisper, leaning into him over the counter, like they were telling a secret. "I infused the milk with fresh lavender and thyme this morning. This is the first time I'm trying it out in the shop."
When they were this close to him, their scent was overwhelmingly intoxicating and attractive, so much so that it made his guts twist in ravenous hunger and his growing bulge throb even more.
"Ah…how unique." He grinned, taking another sip of the coffee, doing his best to look deliberate. "The lavender adds a really nice touch, as does the thyme. Very subtle, but distinct. It's wonderful, really." He said, forcing a slightly impressed look on his face as he looked up at them, his golden eyes sparkling at their own grinning face, ecstatic at the praise.
"I'm so glad you think so," They grinned, before turning the register around for him to see and pay. "That'll be four-fifty today. No charge for the extras, of course."
"How very kind of you," He said softly (and mostly to himself), taking his phone from his pocket and tapping it against the register's contactless sensor in a quick and fluid gesture.
So fluid that he was almost certain that they didn't notice him taking their picture.
The register let out a high BEEP in recognition of his payment, and a receipt was quickly spat out on the barista's side.
"Great, that's all gone through. Well," The barista's grin faded into a polite smile, as the interaction wound to a close, tearing off the paper receipt and stuffing it in the cash drawer of their register. "It was great speaking with you today, Mr…"
"Fox." He said, taking another sip of coffee with a light smirk. Their picture must have been scanned into the database by now, from the way his phone was buzzing in his pocket. "Just Fox. No titles."
"Fox." The barista said back to him with a nod. "See you around?" They added hopefully.
"Certainly," Fox replied with as close to a genuine smile as he could still manage. "It was lovely speaking with you too, darling. Take care of yourself."
Once Fox left the cafe, a tinkle of a bell above the door marking his exit and leaving the young barista to attend to their other tasks while it was still quiet, he took out an old flip-phone and dialed a familiar number, still thoughtfully sipping his coffee as the cold chill of the morning ran down his spine.
"Hey…yeah, I have a special request for you."
His voice was low and quiet once the person on the other end of the phone silently picked up, waiting for his instructions.
"I want a pick-up from a specific spot, today if you can. I'll send you the location." He took another sip of coffee as he idly paced the front of the cafe, hearing a few words from the other end of the line. "Yeah, I've just uploaded them to the database. Local university, no housemates, family not around, it looks like…mm, and cute as a button, I know, I know."
Fox smiled widely, his tail wagging a little more frantically as his mind raced with gruesome thoughts.
"As soon as you can. No damage in transit or no bonus, got it? Great."
He hung up with a snap of the phone and drained the last of the coffee from its cup, running his tongue over his lips in silent consideration.
He could get used to lavender and thyme.

Thank My Lucky Stars
Pairing: bts ot7 × fem reader
Word Count: 2,685
Summary: You're on your period and the boys do everything they can to make you feel better.
Warnings: mentions of menstrual cycle (I honestly dk if periods need warnings? But better safe than sorry), menstrual cramps, reader goes through extreme mood swings but mostly just fluff.
A/N: Honestly, I started my period two days ago and was wishing that I had a bf to take care of me and stuff, and the next thing I knew, this fic wrote itself. It's definitely very self-indulgent lol, and basically everything the reader does is what I've did so far lmao. I hope this fic makes you atleast half as happy as it made me! P.S. It's been a ridiculously long time since I've written, and it's my first time writing for bangtan, so go easy on me!
Today was just another day. You wake up from your bed, feeling fatigued. Ugh, why does my body ache all over, you think to yourself, getting up from the bed as you stretch. You feel the tell tale sign of cramps in your abdomen, but dismiss it immediately, as your period wasn't due for the next two weeks. You brush your teeth and wander out of your room mindlessly, wondering what the boys were up to.
You find Taehyung in the living room, watching TV. “Good morning,” he says with a smile as you flop down on the couch next to him. “morning,” you grunt back. Taehyung, being the cuddly person he is, wraps his arm around you like he usually does, only for you to shrug him off. “Aw, why won't you let me hold you?” he whines, pouting at you. “Sorry Tae, but I'm not feeling good.” “Then it's the perfect time for cuddles! It's bound to make you feel better! C’mere” he says as he drapes himself over you again but you end up wrenching himself out of his grip, looking mad. “I said I wasn't in the mood for cuddles, Taehyung!” You yell at him. Taehyung flinches and looks hurt. Realising what you just did, you thought to yourself, Damn, why did I just snap at Tae like that? He didn't do anything wrong, he was just being his usual self. What's wrong with me? “Tae, I'm sorry-” but before you could finish your sentence Taehyung runs off to his room and slams it shut. You smack yourself for hurting Tae as you slumped back onto the couch.
You just sit there for a while until Hobi tapped you on your shoulder. “Y/N-ah?” You snap out of your thoughts.“What?” you bark at him. “Are you feeling alright?” “Why wouldn't I be?” you ask, slightly irate. “It's just that I went to your room and saw the covers stained.” he says softly. Oh. That's why I've been testy all morning. But it wasn't supposed to arrive until two weeks later! Ugh, I hate this. “I know that you would have cleaned it up already if you had noticed, but since you didn't, I'm assuming you didn't see.” “Yeah” you looked down, embarrassed. “Sorry you had to see that.” Hobi lifts up your chin. “Hey, don't apologise. It's just your period, something which you naturally go through. You don't have to feel bad about it, okay?” You nod. “Good. Now you should probably freshen up. Go to the bathroom, I'll bring you some clothes and a pad. Which one do you need?” “I can get it myself-” Hobi shushes you. “Shower. Now. I'll get you what you need.” “Oh-kaayyyyyy bossy pants.” You give him a mock salute before walking off. He smiles at you, relieved that your period hasn't ruined your sense of humour.
In the bathroom, you turn on the shower and let it wash away all your worries, sighing appreciatively at how good the hot water felt against you. Then you hear a knock. “Y/N? I brought you your stuff.” You momentarily turn off the shower and slightly open the door, to reveal Hobi holding out your clothes, his face promptly averted from the door. You retrieve them from his hand. “Thank you Hobi!” you say and move to close the door, but he stops you. “Wait! You didn't tell me which pad you wanted, and you didn't have any left in your supply either, so I just bought a pack in every variant from your usual brand.” He says, and holds out a bag filled with pad packs of varying types. You find yourself internally going awww at his thoughtfulness, and after picking out what you need, you call out to him. “Hobi?” “Yeah?” “You're the best.” “Aw, it's nothing, Y/N. Now go shower!” He says and runs off, leaving you giggling in his wake.
After a nice hot shower, you change into a comfy hoodie and shorts, feeling significantly better than you did before. But that exact moment your cramps decide to hit you. “Ughhhhh”, you lean against the wall with a groan. Jungkook, who just woke up, spots you and rushes to support you. “Y/N! What happened? Are you alright?” he asks concernedly, wrapping his arms around your shoulders to steady you. “nnnnghhh. Period. Cramps.” you manage to croak out. “Oh no, that sucks,” he says as he gingerly picks you up. “Where do you wanna go?” “Room” you say, and bury your face in his chest. He slowly walks to your room, gently placing you on your bed and tucking you tightly under the covers. As he turns to leave, you grab his hand. “Stay, please? I don't wanna be alone.” He gives you a reassuring smile as he lies down next to you, gently rubbing your back, lulling you slowly to sleep.
You wake up to someone softly pushing your hair out of your face. Blinking open your eyes, you realise it's Jimin. “Hey. Did I wake you up?” “Yeah, but I don't mind. What's the time?” “About 11, I guess.” He kisses your forehead softly. “How are you feeling now?” “A little better, but still sore.” Jimin looks at you sadly, bummed that he can't do anything that'll make your pain go away. But he can distract you from it.
“I brought you something.” He holds out a box that you recognise as one from your favourite bakery. Your eyes light up in delight. “Hobi hyung told me you didn't have breakfast, so I got you your favourite black forest cake.” He opens the box and picking off a piece with a fork, he offers it to you. You eagerly open your mouth and chew it, suddenly realising that you were hungry. He feeds you about two pieces before declaring that was enough or else you wouldn't eat lunch. He wipes away the cake crumbs from your lips and grins widely at the content smile on your face. “What are you grinning at?” you ask him. “Nothing, it's just…. I like seeing you smile.” You blush and duck your head, feeling shy. “I love you, Chim.” you mumble softly. “I love you too, Y/N-ah.” He brings his forehead to yours, booping your nose softly with his.
“Y/N? Are you awake?” You recognise Tae’s voice. “Come in!” Taehyung shuffles into the room, looking uncharacteristically hesitant. Before he could say anything, you start, “Tae, I'm so sorry for snapping at you like that. I swear didn't mean to-” he cuts you off mid sentence by planting a soft kiss on your lips. “It's alright, Jungkookie told me. I understand. You don't have to apologise.” You shake your head. “I do, though. You were hurt and it's my fault. I feel bad about it. Can you forgive me, please?” He giggles, and pats your head. “There's nothing to forgive, silly. I'm not mad at you. I am claiming my cuddles though, Jungkook told me you let him hold you!” You chuckle, “Come here, you big baby.” He moves to get into the bed before stopping. “Oh crap, I forgot why I came here. Jin hyung told me to ask you if you wanna come for lunch or if he should bring it to you. What do you say?” You think for a moment before replying. “You know what, I'm kinda bored of sitting in my room. I'll come! Just gimme a few, I wanna make myself presentable.” Taehyung gives you a once-over. “What do you mean, presentable? You look pretty as always.” “Oh yeah, my ridiculous bedhead and baggy eyes are soooo pretty.” “I don't care, you still look pretty.” You realise he isn't just saying that to make you feel better, but rather that's how you look in his eyes, and your heart melts. “Okay fine, I'm coming. At least let me use the restroom.”
You trudge slowly through the house, Taehyung's hand around your back. Everyone else except Jin is already seated at the table, apparently waiting for you. Their concern is evident in their eyes, but they seem to be content with Taehyung walking with you, so they remain seated.
You settle down in your chair, which you find has some soft pillows placed on it. You look around the table to find Yoongi looking away as soon as you meet his eyes, cheeks turning just a little pink. You smile to yourself, not saying anything. At that moment, Jin comes from the kitchen, bringing out various dishes and sets them on the table, giving you a comforting smile. You catch a whiff of your favourite dishes: kimchi jjigae, samgyeopsal, japchae, fried chicken, along with a pint of chocolate ice cream. “Oh, Jin, you shouldn't have troubled yourself so much!” Jin just smirked. “What makes you think it’s for you? Maybe I just wanted to cook a nice meal.” You pout at him, which makes him chuckle. “Of course I was joking, Y/N-ie. They were specially made for you.” he says with a comforting smile. You sniff slightly, which didn't go unnoticed. Jin, after sitting next to you, places a hand over your thigh and gives it a soft squeeze as if to say, “You're never alone.” You push back the tears and give him a smile. He heaps a good amount of all the dishes on your plate, handing it to you with a wink. You immediately dig into the food, sighing at how delicious they are. “It's official. I think Jin might be my favourite. He surely knows the way to my heart.” you exclaim, only half-joking. You certainly didn't miss the way his ears turned a bright red, a telltale sign that he is flustered. The others pretend to clutch their chest in offence, and you just laugh at them.
After a wonderfully fulfilling lunch, you settle on the couch once more, only to groan when cramps hit you again. “Aish, why does it hurt so much?” you accidentally voice your thoughts out loud. Yoongi, who hears it, fetches some more pillows to place them around so that you can sit down more comfortably. Before you could tell him to sit with you, he walks off. You sigh softly, knowing that he isn't big on openly showing affection. You're surprised though, when you feel someone tap your shoulder, and turn around to find Yoongi. “Hey.” “Hey yourself.”
“I thought this might help with the pain, so I brought you this.” He hands you a hot water bottle. You smile at him, realising that he'd rather show you his love through his actions rather than just being all lovey-dovey. “Thank you, Yoongi.” You wrap your arms around his neck, at which he turns slightly pink, but he hugs you back all the same. “Can I sit with you for a while?” he asked, rubbing his neck. “I thought you'd never ask.” You pull him down onto the couch, leaning into his side.
A few hours later, after Yoongi left, saying that ‘his affection quota for the day has been deplenished’, you are staring into space, debating whether you should go back to bed, when Namjoon walks into the living room, holding a steaming cup of what seems to be chai, guessing from the aroma wafting towards you. “Hey! How come I'm the one who's sick, yet you're the one who gets chai? So not fair!” you say, giving him sad puppy dog eyes. You definitely didn't expect him to stop before you and hand you the cup. “If you had just waited a moment before jumping to conclusions, Y/N-ah, you would have realised that I made this chai for you!” Your eyes widen. “Are you telling me that, you, Kim Namjoon, cooked something, without setting the entire kitchen on fire?!” “Hey!” he looks chagrined, and gives you a soft punch on your arm. “Is that so hard to believe?” he asks. When you just raise your eyebrows in response, he relents. “Fiiiiine, I might have had a little help, but it was my idea, and I did do most of the work! And anyway, it's the thought that counts, right?” “....riiiight. I do appreciate the chai, though. You take the cup from his hands and take a small, careful sip. “Ahhhh, you definitely did a good job Joon, I love it.” He flashes you his usual dimpled smile, which never fails to set your heart fluttering. You pat the seat next to you. “Sit with me?” “I will, but there's something I have to take care of first,” he says and walks away. You look after him quizzically, wondering what he could have meant.
Moments later, he returns with a couple of blankets, and your favourite book. He plops down next to you, and you automatically rest your head on his lap. He pulls the blankets around you, wrapping you like a burrito. Once he makes sure you're all settled, he starts reading the book out aloud. As much as you loved reading on your own, listening to Namjoon read, in his comforting voice, is something you never get tired of. He softly plays with your hair, just the way you like it, as he reads through the book. You purr like a content cat, feeling warm and satisfied, slowly falling asleep.
When you wake up, it's late in the evening, and you find yourself sandwiched comfortably between Hobi, on whose shoulder your head is resting, and Jin, who's softly massaging your feet. Yoongi and Namjoon are sprawled on either side of Jin and Hobi respectively, eyes glued to the television, but both their hands behind you. You look down to find Taehyung squished between your legs. I guess he claimed that cuddle after all. Jungkook and Jimin rest on either of your knees, fighting with Tae for space.
You look around at them and your heart feels like it might burst out of your chest because you don't know what you must have done in your previous life to find these seven men. You start sniffling without realising, and before long, tears start streaming down your face. Jin notices and immediately wipes away your tears, looking concerned. “Love, what happened? Does it hurt too much?” The rest of the guys turn towards you immediately, their features etched with worry. “I know you usually avoid pills, Y/N, but do you need some right now? They could help.” Namjoon offers. “Maybe you just need another hot water bottle.” Yoongi moves to go to the kitchen but stops when you grab his wrist. “No, no, I feel good and all, it's not that. I'm just…so happy.”
“Eh? Why are you crying then?” Taehyung asks, confused. You sniff, unable to look at them. “It's just, you guys are so unbelievably sweet and loving! No one has ever taken such good care of me before, especially during my period, so I'm a bit overwhelmed, but in a good way. I just don't know what I did to deserve such amazing and wonderful, not one, but seven boyfriends. I don't even deserve you guys.” you start crying all over again.
“Hey, hey, hey,” Hobi rubs your shoulder soothingly. “Don't ever think that you're not worth all this, okay? You deserve everything, sunshine. You're the most beautiful, gentle, kind and caring person we've met, and frankly, we don't know how you manage to put up with all of our chaos!”
“Yes, Y/N, hyung is right! We are the lucky ones!” Jungkook exclaimed, giving you his doe eyes and bunny smile.
“We love you so much, Y/N-ah. Don't you ever forget that.” says Jimin, as he places a kiss on your thigh.
“I love you guys too. So much. You have no idea how much.”
“Oh, I think we have some idea,” Tae says, giving you his signature wink as you laugh and pull all of them into a huge cuddle. You close your eyes and savour the feeling of being surrounded by your loved ones, and thank your lucky stars for bringing them to you.

PLAYBOY. | jjk
❥ mdni. fic masterlist.
*ੈ✩‧₊˚ 012: THIRD TIME’S THE CHARM.
✞ 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐘𝐁𝐎𝐘✞
SILENCE WAS THE ONLY AFTERMATH of his question. seeing your perplexed expression up close, gojo left a kiss on the bridge of your nose and took a few steps back to create some distance between you two.
slowly unbuttoning his blazer, he never took his eyes off you. he didn't want to miss any of your reactions.
he had to see it; he had to see the way he countlessly imagined your eyes slowly narrowing in lust before they roll back from the sheer pleasure he'd give you. he wanted to experience it all.
"what's wrong, playboy girl?" his honeyed voice rang in your ears. he had an eyebrow raised, a little smile on his lips.
grabbing your throat, he pulled you close so you were chest to chest.
"cat got your tongue?"
once again, his question went completely over your head.
"c'mon, answer me. if you don't want to, we won't do anything." he reassured you.
satoru wasn't particularly religious, but he prayed to every god that you'd like to take it further. noticing that you were still silent, he assumed that you were frightened.
as he took his hands off your throat due to your lack of words, his eyes widened when your fingers naturally reached for his, pulling him back.
you couldn't meet his eyes properly, fluttering your long lashes slowly. you always had a lot of respect for gojo— afterall, he used to be your teacher.
his expression softened, reaching for your hips. shaky breaths escaped your glossed lips as gojo's hands rubbed circles on your exposed skin. seeing gojo—a man who used to be your teacher barely two years ago—lose his composure in front of you was intoxicating.
pushing his luck, he slowly rocked you against him, pulling a mewl out of you.
he wanted to kiss you, he really did. he thought of geto, but it was brief. it didn't matter a few minutes ago, so why should it matter now?
"GOJO-SENSEI!!" yuuji's loud voice could be heard from the other side of the door. he slammed the door open, resting his hands on his knees in order to catch his breath.
"fushiguro is foaming from the mouth— wait! what is going on here?"
you coughed awkwardly. the suggestive position wasn't helping, especially not when yuuji had a big mouth. thankfully, his mind didn't go there immediately.
"oh, no! is y/n choking too?" he panicked, rushing towards you.
"DON'T WORRY, DEAR!" he pushed gojo aside, "I KNOW HOW TO PERFORM THE HEIM-"
"no, no! it's okay, yuuji. i'm not choking." you giggled, slapping the boy's chest.
"that's a reassurance. if i'm being for real, i kinda forgot how to do the heimlich maneuver anyways. i just wanted to impress you." he admitted, scratching his head.
"it didn't help." nobara rolled her eyes as she entered gojo's office as well. "why are you on the floor, gramps?"
"yuuji got a little excited." the man answered through gritted teeth. he couldn't believe he got cockblocked by his students.
"oh, right!" yuuji perked up. "thats actually why i came to find you! i think that there was some complications with fu—"
"he performed the maneuver wrong and mr.emo is convulsing on the floor as we speak." nobara stated monotonously.
"you snitch!" yuuji gasped.
"get up, gojo! meggy needs help!" you kicked him in the ribs repeatedly before running out.
"MISS SHOKO?? WHERE ARE YOU, MISS SHOKO?" you yelled in your megaphone, running through the halls.
seeing you go, nobara judged that there was no reason to stay in the office anymore, so she ran after you.
as the footsteps grew distant, yuuji turned excitedly towards his teacher.
"i think i really impressed her today with my quick thinking!"
"you sure did..."

naoya was sitting in the garden of the zenin estate, aggressively shoving blueberries in his mouth.
to say that he was humiliated was an understatement. after the whole fiasco at the elders' meeting, his father and his fugly brothers gave him the beating of his life. but that wasn't anything new.
it's been a few days that he hasn't heard from you.
he groaned with his mouth full, but he got slapped in the nape.
he whipped his head to cuss out the idiot who dared to hit him, and he came face to face with his dad.
"you're an embarrassment." the old man shook his head before marching away.
he wanted to retaliate, but he decided against it. he had to keep his mouth shut if he still wanted to be the heir and get all the inheritance.
then, remembering something, he groaned once more, this time louder than the last. he was mad at you.
it was YOUR face on the playboy magazine that got him into trouble in the first place.
and maybe he was salty that you ended up ditching him for your manager. 'shiu' or something.
he was still deep in thought when a maid approached him.
"zenin-sa—"
"what?" he snapped, making the maid shiver violently. the heir was known for his violent behaviour.
"y-you got some mail!"
"from who?"
"um, it says from 'okasan'—" he immediately snatched the white package from the maid, making her shriek in terror.
"get lost. now." he ordered, and she wasted no time obeying.
"this bitch..." he mumbled to himself, hurriedly opening it.
"what the fuck." his jaw dropped. he was, yet again, face to face with you. it was the playboy magazine. taking it out delicately, his heart leaped in his throat. there was three other magazines.
vogue, harper's bazaar, cosmopolitan. all four of them were signed with what appeared to be red lipstick.
a pink piece of paper between the pages of the last magazine grabbed his attention.
'why didn't you drop by my dorm the other night? it was lonely without you :(
anyways, i know that you liked my playboy magazine last time, so i got it signed for you. i sent you three more deals to give you company on extra tough days ♡
with lots and lots of love,
y/n, the golden girl.
p.s: i asked hakari to see whether you could join us and kirara next time and he said: yes as long as you keep your mouth closed!! kirara said that they'd rather mess around with king kong, and i told them that it was a little rude, even if i can see where they're coming from.
bye for real this time.
p.s.s: say hi to your dad!!
bye for real for real this time.'

Sick Days
Genre: Fluff
DNI: NON-MLM/NBLM, fujoshis, mlm/nblm fetishizers
Side info: Sex is not specified so cis and trans men can read it. There is only one gender specific word (he) so if you are non-binary and are comfortable with it you can read it also :)
Character(s)/Reader: Neuvillette x Male Reader, mentioned Lyney and Wriothesley
Your eyes blinked open as your alarm clock rang loudly at your bedside, arm reaching over to turn it off. As you sat up to get ready for your day, you noticed something off about yourself. Your limbs felt sore, your throat ached, and, weirdly, the temperature of the room was so cold it felt as though you were in Snezhnaya. You quickly laid down again and bundled yourself up in your blankets, but it wasn't enough. Your body still shivered from how cold you felt.
Great. Of course you got severely sick on the day of your interview with Lyney that you worked so hard to get. You had wanted to write an exclusive on his newest trick and maybe even get some personal information on the mysterious magician, but that definitely wasn't happening now. You whined as you felt the pain in your limbs worsen as you tried to get comfortable, but it looked like that also wasn't happening either. The bedroom door creaked open as your husband peeked into the room.
"(Name)? Are you alright? You're normally up by now." He asked gently as he walked over to the side of the bed. He noticed the look of pain on your face and kneeled beside you, placing the back of his hand on your forehead.
"It seems you have a fever." He said as he cupped your cheek, trying to comfort you as he saw the sad look in your eyes.
"Today was supposed to be my big day. I'm supposed to interview Lyney I can't be sick today." You whispered to him with a frown. His eyes softened at your desperate tone, and he grabbed your hand to kiss it.
"I'm sorry, my love. I know how long you've been looking forward to this." He spoke, thumb rubbing the spot he kissed soothingly. Getting sick wasn't something that was new for you since you've always had a weak immune system, but that didn't mean it was something you were used to. Feeling so horribly was something you could never get used to. Luckily since Neuvillette was a strong and mighty dragon that meant he had a strong and mighty immune system, meaning he could take care of you. Although you hated feeling like such a burden to him, you loved that he was willing to care for you.
"I'm assuming from how bad your state is that you have a sore throat. Would you like some tea to help soothe it?" You gave him a nod in return because of how much pain you were in from speaking earlier, and watched as he left the room to get the tea. Neuvillette was practically an expert at making tea due the many times you've been sick. The first time he made it it was, to put it nicely, not that good. He had no clue how to make it since he preferred to drink water, but with the help of Wriothesley he learned to make delicious tea just for you.
A little later, your husband came in holding a tray with a teapot, a teacup, and some small snacks for you to have in case you were hungry. Once you sat up, he carefully extended the legs on it and placed it so it was hovering over your lap. He then poured you a cup of tea and added some items that would help soothe your throat before handing it to you. You took a sip and smiled as the liquid hit your tastebuds. You could barely taste anything due to how stuffed up your nose was, but you could taste the love and care that went into it. Yes it was a cheesy thing to think, but when it came to your husband these thoughts came naturally.
"Is it helping at all?" He asked as he watched you drink. You nodded again and picked up one of the snacks he prepared. Hesitantly, you ate it and thankfully did not puke due to your nausea.
Once you were finished, Neuvilette cleaned everything up and came back with some extra blankets. As he tucked you in, you looked at the clock and realized that he hadn't left for work yet. He was definitely going to be late if he kept tending to you.
"Neuvillette, don't you have work to do? You're going to be late." You said softly, not wanting to use your voice more than you needed to.
"I've cleared my schedule and will be staying home to take care of you. You should know by now that I will never leave you home alone when ill." He said, lightly scolding you for trying to make him go to work when you're sick. You smiled at him as he finished making you comfortable, and watched as he got into clothing that was more casual.
"Is there anything else I can get you?" He asked after putting on a shirt. You shook your head and watched as he started to walk out of the room. You panicked and yelped a wait, a sharp pain in your throat making you wince. He stopped and looked back at you, waiting for your request.
"Can you cuddle with me until I fall asleep?" You asked shyly. He smiled and walked over to the bed, getting underneath all of the blankets so you could cuddle him properly. He felt your arms wrap around him and he did the same to you, holding you against him protectively. His hands ran through your hair as you rested against him, humming gently as you hugged him tighter.
Eventually you fell asleep cuddled up in his arms. Neuvillette watched as you slept peacefully against him, smiling to himself because of how adorable you looked.
He hated seeing you in pain from how sick you get, but part of him loved moments like these. Moments where he could provide for you. He loved cooking for you, making you tea, making you comfortable in bed. He loved doing things for you, and when you were sick you never rejected his acts of service. Neuvillette knew you thought of yourself as a burden whenever you got sick, but he was always overjoyed to be able to care for you.
Maybe one day you will let him service you when you're healthy, though he doubts that'll happen anytime soon. Looks like he'll just have to service you as much as he can while you're still sick.
'Perhaps I could get him some flowers?'
---------------------------------------------------
Needed to make some Neuvillette fluff because he makes me swoon. He's so cute 😭
I hope you guys enjoy! Sorry if there are any errors, I only reread once because I am too lazy to reread it again

BSD: An Absurdist Analysis - Ch. 114.5
Fyodor: The Unkillable Devil
[BSD Absurdism Masterpost]
So, I was mostly correct in my speculations from last month's chapter! I'm really proud of this, though I will admit that my theory wasn't a complete match to what ended up happening
I assumed that Fyodor took on the guard's lifeforce, but it was Bram who he body-swapped with, which makes for a much for interesting (and higher stakes) situation.
Admittedly, this post is going to be a bit less analysis and more me sharing my thoughts and questions, because not much has changed from what I said last month: Fyodor being practically unkillable is the ultimate absurdity for him as a villain -- how do you defeat a literally immortal super genius?
It's just made even worse now by the fact that it is Bram's body who he's "subsuming." It puts considerable distance between himself (now in Japan) and Dazai (in France), who is the only human being capable of killing him due to his nullification. This is deeply ironic in that Dazai was so goddamn close to killing Fyodor, if only he had delivered the final blow himself, he would have succeeded. That's dramatic irony for ya!
The ultimate absurdity lies within the fact that Dazai was so close to victory the entire time; Fyodor was in genuine danger throughout the whole prison break thing (because either poison or Dazai could have actually killed him), but one lapse in judgement has now left Dazai relatively powerless.
There is also absurdity in the fact that Fukuawa, Fukuchi, Aya, and Teruko are basically incapable of stopping Fyodor not only from subsuming Bram's body, but from carrying out his plan with the tripolar singularity. They don't even have enough time to enact a last-ditch effort to stop him before he stabs Fukuchi.
Jumping back to the reveal of Fyodor's ability, this chapter has left me with some questions about Fyodor's plan:
Why allow Sigma to learn of this? I see no really good reason for why Fyodor didn't kill Sigma when given the chance. The only thing I can think of is that he wanted to distract Dazai, ultimately knowing that he would eventually go back for Sigma and try to figure out why he was passed out, killing some time. Still, this doesn't really make much sense to me, as killing Sigma would have done practically the same thing. Also, at that point, there's really no reason to distract Dazai, the deed has already been done. My only other idea is that he figured that once he was able to subsume Bram, it wouldn't matter if Dazai knew about his ability, so he allowed Sigma to obtain this information in order to let Dazai know of his loss. Still, this doesn't make any strategic sense in the way that keeping Dazai in the dark for as long as possible appears to be the optimal course of action.
Does Nikolai know about Fyodor's ability? If so, it would explain the usage of the poison in the prison break challenge, given that his ultimate goal is to kill Fyodor. It might also explain why he considers them to be "besties," because he's one of very few people who know the true nature of Fyodor's ability. This is complete speculation, though, as it could really go either way.
Did Fyodor know Chuuya was faking it the whole time? Because if not, I think Chuuya was his fallback plan. If he truly believed Chuuya to be a vampire controlled by Bram, then at any point he could have ordered him to kill him, but I think the only thing that stopped him from doing so was his desperation to have Dazai killed as the only person capable of actually taking his life. If he did indeed know Chuuya was just acting, though, I wonder if he had just thought far enough ahead to know how things would go and needed Chuuya to be present to get to that conclusion. I'm really curious as to how much of this plan was actual foresight and how much was improvisation.
As for the tripolar singularity... well I think we know where that leads, given that the anime gave us a little preview to future events.
I'll admit that the concept of the singularity is one of the things I least understand about the BSD lore/universe, but this certainly raises the stakes. I might be wrong about this, but aren't there theories that somehow Akutagawa and Atsushi's abilities combined are able to supersede singularities? In this way, they'd be the only hope against Tripolar Singularity Fukuchi (which I've got to assume works much like Arahabaki in that Fukuchi is not in control anymore).
We also now can now assume that Akutagawa (and assumedly anyone else who was turned into a vampire) becomes un-vampirified because Bram ceases to exist when Fyodor takes on his body, so this explains how we get to the above situation.
That's all I got for now! Please feel free to add to my analysis and discuss the questions I've asked, I love talking about this stuff with y'all! :)
Edit: Ok so of course almost immediately upon posting this I thought of more things to add in terms of how this all relates to absurdism. The concept of Fyodor being unable to die is not only absurd from the storytelling perspective of him being BSD's ultimate villain for so long, but also on a personal level for himself.
One of humanity's defining qualities is mortality -- the idea that we all die eventually, whether we like it or not. For Fyodor, this isn't true, though. His ability is a curse that traps him into living so long as people try to kill him. This further explains his ultimate motive of wanting to eliminate all abilities, probably because he recognizes many abilities to be curses and also that abilities have potential to be abused by those in power, whether for "right" or "wrong" reasons.
The irony in this is that Fyodor is doing just that, he has used his ability to remain alive far longer than he should have, and is thus able to carry out his plans. Yes, he believes what he is doing is for the good of humanity, but as the reader, we also know that this is not his decision to make. He has become the very thing he's trying to fight! This can be seen as Fyodor giving into the absurdity of reality, rather than actually rebelling against it, which makes him the antagonist to our absurdist protagonists, who refuse to give in and continue to push back against life's absurdities.
Fyodor's problem (and I think I talked about this in the chapter where he "died") is that he wants to control the absurd reality, but that is just not possible. You can't control meaninglessness, all you can do is not become a part of it, which Fyodor fails to do in his effort to not do so. It's a complete paradox.
Hopefully what I'm saying here makes sense, I am currently running on like five hours of sleep (which not a lot for me) and black tea lol

Hello again! Since you said that you HC König to be Styrian, do you think he'd be the kind of person to sometimes speak his dialect with reader to tease them a little? The dialect is kinda hard to understand for people, who only speak High German (the German you find in texts and the one you're taught at school and stuff). Because I speak with a dialect as well and I'd love nothing more than to banter with König in our Austrian dialect together! Of course, there's a thousand dialects in Austria! So, someone from Styria has a hard time understanding someone from Vorarlberg, but still! (Also, because I HC him from the southern part of Styria, I like to imagine he "barks" a little when he speaks! It's gotten better as he grew up, but when he gets drunk he still barks, which makes it harder to understand him! It's really hard to understand some people from southern Styria >.< Are we allowed to share our own HCs with you? I just thought it'd make sense since I am Austrian! Not trying to sound entitled or anything, of course! But I just love giving him HCs of things I'm familiar with :>)
Anyway, sorry for the long ask! Have a nice day! ^^
💚💚💚💚💚 HELLLLOO it's great to see you back again :D I hope you're doing well! Also prefacing this with I'm an American so I'm admittedly not the most well versed in everything Austrian! I do put in my research and know some but I haven't even been there so if I'm ever wrong, absolutely feel free to correct me (I try my best not to be totally ignorant)
To answer your question simply in one word: ABSOLUTELY. Caps, bold, and all.
Naturally, his default IS his dialect. That's what he grew up speaking, that's what he learned, that's what sounds the most correct to him. Yes, it's not the standard, but it's HIS standard.
If reader doesn't know his dialect or if he's going out of his way to be a bit of a little shit, he'll be teasing about it - he's got a sense of humor (as unconventional as it might be). Assuming reader is learning German, he of course will still be helpful with teaching! He'll speak the "textbook" standard, but he's still slipping his dialect in, especially if they're catching onto what he's saying and he wants to make a sly comment.
What did he just say? Oh, nothing, you'll figure it out :) .... eventually, in due time.... and maybe a few post it notes in your text books there...
If they already know German, he'll pretty much insist on his dialect and will maybe speak a bit slower if you're lucky. But he'll talk so much if he likes you, you'll catch on - sooner or later (all apart of his masterplan). He's far more comfortable speaking German so he naturally adopts a faster talking pace too to match
Side note Dialects are SO interesting. One of my pals is Norwegian and he'd look me dead in the eyes and switch to another dialect whenever I understood him. Frustrating, actually pretty hilarious, and gives me MORE incentive to learn and to try and figure it out. How a single language can vary so differently from place to place in the same country is very interesting to see and hear alike
(Also you're absolutely welcome to share head cannons with me anytime!! 💚💚💚 I love hearing them and I love seeing that people can relate and have their own experiences to add. It really adds depth when we know we're never getting more than the bare minimum and it's not entitled at all its so nice to hear these little details)
I'm absolutely on board with that head cannon and support it FULLY in every sense of the word. That's 110% HIM. Since he wasn't much of a talker as a kid too I think it certainly was much more pronounced for that reason before it lessened as he grew up, and especially had more exposure to his peers.
I adore niche head cannons like this, it's my bread and butter. Because you KNOW we'd not get that level of love and attention to detail with or from the game alone and it's just adding that extra pizzazz, that extra depth that he deserves
💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚 If you don't mind, I'll adopt that for him because it's so perfect??? It's so him I just love the idea so so so much

red hood/jason todd x black widow!reader
[masterlist]
🍓 summary: the enemy of yours, jason for sure was annoying as hell but there was something that pull you two together and he knew this damn well.
🍓 wc: 2.4k
🍓 warnings&tags: fluff, flirting, sarcastic!jason, kissing, cursing, teasing, touching, enemies to lovers, hidden feelings, confession [kinda]
🍓 author's note: so, this was a request from an anon but I assume they were @chaoticsomeone, and it took me long to write but finally, I did it! hope you enjoy; both anon and you all! ^^
jason was so annoying, you should give him that. but for some reasons, he seemed more annoying than ever and no, it wasn't because of you started to feel any emotion towards him which he wouldn't notice due to hiding them in deep down but hiding was hard to endure since you wanted to kiss him right before the mission, during the mission and especially, after it.
it wasn't usual of you to have feelings for an enemy but he was different. he felt different. you were still trying to decide whether the tension between you caused this or not. however, you couldn't think about its reasons. you just tried to focus on only to report the mission to the batman who was in touch you throughout it.
knowing jason's past was a peck, indeed, even if you never talked about it 'till he did. you respect him even though he was your enemy. you remembered what alfred told you about your relationship with jason, seeing it like the bond cat woman and the batman shared.
you didn't know their true identities but encouraging some of their missions together with some bat-fam members, jason right beside you, you saw the high tension and pull they both shared. it somehow seemed so - familiar. maybe alfred was right after all and tonight, you felt his rightness at the highest level, especially when jason put a smirk on his face after you looked at him shamelessly for a while as you realized in the last moment before turning to sky above you with a blushed face.
"don't give me that smirk." you said, rolling your eyes for calming yourself down because you knew jason's sensitive hearing abilities, probably could hear your heart beats which were running fast.
"what smirk?" he sounded like he didn't know what you were talking about but from the corner of your eyes, you saw how his smirk grew as he put his palms on the ground he was sitting on, leaning towards them and opening his thick thighs wider. his red mask were standing on the ground beside him and you could see his dark black hair fly with the power of night's wind.
he was more than attractive and you always thought about it whenever you saw him. it was like a natural habit of yours to think about jason all the time. you knew it was a habit of a lover than an enemy but you couldn't face with it since you believed you would become worse if you did.
"and what was with that girl back there?" you asked out of sudden. even though it wasn't intentional in the first place, you tried to act cool, reducing rising jealousy and curiosity on your system because of that unknown girl you saw in the mission field. she happened to be familiar with jason, knowing him from past. she didn't look like an ally or enemy but for sure, she was clingy towards jason, touching him freely from here to there, putting some kisses to his masked face, calling him pretty boy and acting like he owned her. it made your blood boil with pure rage, because of both dislike how the girl touched jason and not being able to do the same.
it was sad seeing how easy for another one to do what you wanted to do for such a long time.
"cherish?" he questioned, looking not interested in the topic but still answering your question, "she helped me in the past while tracking down someone."
"oh, so she's an ally?" you asked in a low tone, not looking at his eyes.
"kinda." jason said, looking at the sky as he threw his head. "why?" he questioned after a certain silence, taking your blurry mind back to him.
shrugging, you said, "just curious."
"I didn't know my fellas seemed interesting for you."
"they didn't but it's just – " you stopped talking, not wanting to give away your little secret of love him this easily. "I assume you only got me as an enemy fella who can be this close to you."
"this close?" he questioned, wanting you to be more open with that statement as he knelt down towards you, getting closer with each second 'till you chuckled nervously. he began to act a little odd out of nowhere and it was making you nervous, not being able to say what's on your mind completely.
"I mean look at us," you said, pointing to him and you after getting up and walking on the rooftop. "they see us as enemies. we should try to kill each other, not watching sunrise together. shouldn't we?" you asked to him because deep down, you wanted him to say a negative answer. love was like a fire under the skin but when it came to you, you liked the feeling that fire was giving. it was effect of jason on you after all.
what you were doing as a black widow included a great number of dangerous events, but, being in love with jason could be the most dangerous one which continues inside and outside a mission; a lifetime danger.
therefore, you chose to hide it for as long as you can. however, it looked like tonight was the end of it, you realized when jason asked "and what about 'u?" instead of answering the question after taking some time, looking at his hands.
as his eyes connected with yours, you forgot to breathe. the expression he had on his attractive face was unreadable and you had to try hard to understand meaning of his gazes. finally, you acknowledged some curiosity and sadness on them.
confused as ever, you thought loudly. "what about me?"
he shook his head, making his black hair move freely, looking hot like he was in a hair advertising scene.
"what do you think about this – " he stopped for a second, gathering enough strength to say what he is going to say aloud. "our relationship?"
your mind spent a quite time to comprehend what jason told about your relationship; calling it ‘our’. tonight, he was more open than ever and he didn’t help you even at slightest, instead, giving a headache while thinking about what to say – truth or just a tease.
if jason had a magic on you, you could believe with entire soul of yours. if he, now, told you he was joking, you would just laugh and get over with it. but none, jason did none of them. on contrary to these options your mind were thinking as likely events would take place from now on, he got up, not waiting for your answer. he took a few steps towards you, slowly but heavy. with each step, you took deep breaths, trying to find a way out from this because not knowing his intentions, you felt fear – fear of not being able to hold yourself and kiss him right here.
“jason –“ you tried to say, “I –“ the power you were holding was not working when you were alone with him. you knew this well but you couldn’t wait to spend more time after every mission you did together. beside them, there would a few occasions in which you two could get together. however, except some flirting, explicit comments and teasing, there wasn’t anything serious in these events you two shared. yes, there were moments you believed you and jason were pulling to each other with a ghost rope between your bodies and maybe, this night, it wouldn’t be a ghost or invisible rope. you were scared of this – scared of crashing a cold chest.
as fear began to rise inside enough to make scarecrow smell of it if he weren’t in arkham, jason spoke again, giving you something to hold to breathe and act properly.
he was both weakness and strength of you.
“didn’t answered my question.” he marked, and you gulped. trying to act confident and fearless, you shrugged.
“and I will not answer it ‘till you say what is the meaning of such question.” it was best option to gain more time. however, when jason smirked, you knew it didn’t work on him – not after he knew so much about you.
“there, there, acting like knowing nothing.” jason crossed his arms together, looking damn tall as he left just inches between his well built chest covered with a black silky suit and yours which was exposed a little, showing collarbone to eyes.
“you know I know so much.”
“except the meaning of the question, apparently.”
furrowing, you said while crossing your arms, copy him. “I can’t understand it if you have a closed mouth like that. you could ask it,” you showed your forefinger, “one, just to tease,” you added another finger, “two, getting a new information from me to keep it ‘till you will have a chance to hit me with it.” you added a last one, “three, maybe curiosity got its best out of you, huh?”
he shook his head, not impressed at the options, instead, looking bothered with them. “oh yeah, you are definitely clever as they said. sure.”
he turned to other side, going to pick up his mask as you realized how he used a dry sarcasm right there.
when that fact hit you, you felt anger. he was the one with a dumb brain not you. you weren’t the one talking like a close box, no, he was.
with that anger, you held his shoulder after he got his mask on his hands. squeezing the flesh under your palm that was full of muscles enough to make your mind go crazy once again, you said in pure annoyance, “what is wrong with you? you are asking odd questions and wait for me to understand the meaning of it right away with that unreadable expression of yours.” he looked at you and you felt confident than before, gladly, so, you added, “if you wanna say something, say it. and if you don’t, just leave it. don’t play with me.”
he turned to you when your hand on his shoulder stayed same, staring to your face with dark green eyes of his you loved to look at under every light or darkness because in every damn moment, his eyes were beautiful, taking breath away from your lungs and tonight, it was no different – maybe, it was more powerful even, not only taking breath but mind from you.
what was the time? where were you? why you were waiting in here? – they all seemed become silent each passing second as you kept looking at his eyes.
then, finally, he said, “you are the one who is playing with me.” to strengthen his words – to make it clear this time, he found your free hand, taking it as your breathes pitched, putting it right on his chest – where his heart rested.
without thinking twice, you closed your eyes, obeying what he wanted with simple gesture – you knew him well, not waiting for him to say what he wanted you to do.
the moment you closed your eyes, his heart’s beats began to flow from his chest to your hand, and to your heart from there – it was fast, so fast. it wasn’t because of any physical movement, no, it was all because of – you.
in the end, you found enough energy to open your eyes, looking at his dark green ones, and without putting any second to think about it, you just raised on your tiptoes, reaching his lips and kissing him – the thing your whole body pushed you to do, desired the most and when your lips touched to each other – as his mask hit the ground underneath your foot with a loud pump sound – as both of his hands found your waist, pushing it to his chest more, making your bodies crush into each other with raising heats from them.
your hands found his neck, hugging him tightly, a hand began to flow into his dark black hair, feeling his heart under yours.
the gotham city was so noisy in nights due to lots of different reasons but tonight – tonight, it was the quietest because your mind rejected it completely – it rejected the whole world, only to focus on just him – that fucking jason todd whose lips were kissing yours like it was the last thing he could get a taste of.
then, when he decided he couldn’t get enough, his hands found your ass, holding them to make your body jump higher, getting between his arms, hugging him stronger for avoiding any falling ‘till he made his way into a higher point in the rooftop on which you could sit.
placing your body on the nearest point, he left your messy lips for a second, looking at you from head to toe – a complete mess totally because of him, he smirked proudly, tilting his head a little to kiss the corner of your lips.
“well, not so dumb after all.”
rolling your eyes, you punched his shoulder gently, but smiling widely. indeed, you understood what he meant to refer with that question in the end; getting that hidden feeling out of you which were mutual. you could think he was playing with you but he wasn’t that guy – jason had a pure heart under that chest even though he wasn’t believing to have it on his own, however, you saw it and you believed him – you believed jason so much that you let him kiss you once again, hungrier and rougher this time, but still, giving away his true feeling within it as he hugged you from back, making your back arch, chest touch his, hands on his shoulders.
between kisses – lots of kisses you shared that night, you told him the answer of his question and so much more, finally getting chance to open your heart to him without fearing anything. and jason listened you carefully – closely. he didn’t say how much he loved you in return aloud, instead, he chose to use his lips, hands, and eyes with his entire body to show how he cared for you – how you meant like a lover rather than just an enemy. you took all of what he gave you gladly and from that night, a new journey in your relationship began.
maybe alfred was right; you two were like cat woman and batman. even though it looked like it, deep down, you believed it would become more with hope. you didn’t want jason stop kissing you, teasing you while flirting openly, touching you from here to there freely and letting you do the same to him, looking so happy with a simple look into your eyes.
love was dangerous path and you began to walk on it while holding jason’s hand with pleasure.
the end. 🍓

What led you to decide conversion to Judaism was "for you"?
I'll preface this post by saying that you are, essentially, asking to open a Pandora's box - this is an inherently huge question to ask, and I only request that you keep this in mind when I talk about this. I'm completely open to this discussion, though! I am absolutely happy to talk about my journey because it is so deeply personal and fulfilling,
I was raised in a Lutheran family - I was baptized, but I was never really... required to go to church. We'd gone before, my dad and I, but I don't remember this because I was young. However, what I do remember is just not believing in any of it. I never truly believed in Jesus, I'd only said I did. Despite having little pressure put on me in a religious aspect, I'd always just assumed that I should please my family. I went to Jesus camp (a moniker for the religious camp I'd gone to a few times), and I went to a handful of confirmation classes. As I understand it, Lutherans practice confirmation in order to educate young adults about the religion, and by the end, the person decides if this is right for them. I dropped out completely, and honestly, it was simply due to "I believe none of this besides g-d."
Once I had consciously admitted to myself that I really could not reconcile my disbelief, I decided to disconnect completely from all forms of xtianity. I mostly kept to myself and didn't even interrogate my feelings about g-d or religion at all.
After a while, I realized that I truly knew nothing else besides xtianity. I always thought it was my duty as a person to learn about others to accept them. I started throwing myself into education about other religions. Now that I think about it, I think part of myself really did want to connect with something that felt right in my soul. For a while, I didn't find that. Once I started learning about what were the true basics of Judaism, I felt a strange and indescribable feeling, really for the first time ever.
My journey into Judaism really began on an intellectual level. I truly jived with what I was learning - I remember one of my big issues with xtianity was the idea of "spreading the Good News," or proselytizing. I think learning that about judaism was what made me realize that there was something out there that I could logically understand. I loved the cultural understanding of disagreement - that you can even disagree with g-d and not be sent to Hell For All Eternity. I loved that observing mitzvot wasn't really a strict dogma. It was a process we all undertake on some level. I'd say that the common attitude held in the xtain spaces I was exposed to all my life (that is - "all of this is strict dogma, and no questions are deemed acceptable.") really made me appreciate the intellectualism that judaism often fulfills. By nature, I want to disagree with others, explain, agree, and ultimately learn, and I loved the culture of education.
I'd say much of the emotional attachment I now have to judaism came later. There is only so much you can appreciate about judaism from the sidelines, and once I got involved in my community, I truly learned this. Much of my love for judaism is simple - it's everyday life, really.
I think what made me decide so soon that judaism was right is because I am trans. I am no stranger to this feeling, I just had never felt it about religion. It's a deep, soul-level understanding of belonging. It's a feeling you can never do justice to through word alone. I've felt this before, and I know this is a feeling that I cannot simply ignore. It's something you can only grab hold of and never let go. It is a primal understanding within your entire being - at least it is for me.
Because of this, there is so much that I have not touched upon here, but I think I've been rambling for long enough. Again, I welcome any and (almost) all questions that may be remaining. So much of my decision about judaism came down to exposing myself to conversion stories and thoughts about judaism from jews, and if there is a chance I might be even a little like that, I will always welcome it!
#ask#jumblr#jew by choice#jewish conversion#personal thoughts tag#convert FAQs#long post#it's to the point where i don't know if i would have come to this conclusion if i were not trans#because being trans made me realize what it felt like to *belong* in something as fundamental as who you are#as much as i have hated being trans in the past i can't help but realize how fundamental it has been for shaping myself for the better#i suspect i would still feel lost and unsure had i not had to confront these feelings head-on in a primal way before#i talk a lot about religion in this ask but to be perfectly clear it was just as much cultural for me#i am not just joining a religion i am joining a people and i *love* the people#they are my people. they are my community#and to say that my desire for judaism is only religious in nature is to oversimplify all of my motivations honestly#i should have made that a disclaimer but i assume most of this was about the religion itself because it's so different

Since OMORI fans seem to be under the impression that accidentally killing his sister was the only bad thing Sunny ever did, I felt obligated to complie a helpful little list of him being an asswipe both before and during the game's events. I'm nothing if not helpful :P
So, let's go over all the evidence, shall we?
(Apparently) was aware of Aubrey's troubled situation at home, wasn't shown doing anything of note to help and/or support her
Whined about having to help his friends build their treehouse
Threw a tantrum that resulted in the death of his sister because he couldn't watch cartoons for as long as he'd have liked
Blamed Mari for the argument as if she forced him to practice even though he himself begged her to let him join her
Chose to resolve his argument with Mari violently even though he had the option to run away instead
Ignored any guilt he felt about Basil's cover-up since he was more relieved he won't have to face repercussions for what he did
Chose to lie to his friends by omission and let them believe they had somehow failed Mari due of the assumed nature of her death as a suicide, irreversibly scarring them
Chose to let Basil take the fall for blacking out Mari's photos in the photo album, which entailed Basil becoming the target of Aubrey's bullying and wore Basil's mental health down to near-psychosis by the time of the game's events*
His ideal relationship with his friend group largely revolves around himself; they're reduced to one-note cheerleaders who depend on him
Walked out on Basil - his best friend - when the latter had a mental breakdown despite Basil begging him to stay
Considered leaving Basil to his death as a legitimate option, twice
Was content with only thinking of doing nice things for Basil (e.g. watering Basil's plants in his dream world) as opposed to actually trying to support him in the real world
Walked out on Hero after seeing him crying over the piano
Wasn't shown to feel any guilt or shame from having a picnic with the people he lied to near his dead sister's grave
Twisted the supportive words of the people he lied to to alleviate his own self-loathing over committing manslaughter
Told his friends the truth shortly before having to move town, thus avoiding his confession's consequences and leaving Basil behind to face whatever comes next alone
Is only concerned with how his friends' pain affects himself at the end of the day
(*Granted, he couldn't have possibly known ruining the photo album would entail any consequences, but still, doing something this shitty to his best friend and then essentially ghosting him makes Sunny an asshole.)
Lovely guy, isn't he? I can just feel the nuance and the complexity /s

My friend just reminded me of the 2010s Disney era and so resurfaces my need for
VilYuu StarStruck-styled romcom
(It is objectively NOT a good movie but it really stuck in my impressionable preteen head back then)
Anyway! I was thinking it started somewhere in book 2, while Cater lead Riddle, Adeuce, Yuu and Grim to investigate the culprit behind the Magift/Spelldrive incidents and that's when they crossed path with Vil! (Actually they were out to see Rook but you know, the vice housewarden was always around his housewarden blah blah). Yuu might have been genuinely entranced by Vil's beauty (as they should) but that's the extent of their impression.
But unfortunately they may or may not have made a fool of themself in front of Vil (due to either Grim or Adeuce bumping into them, making them trip and fall face first in front of the Queen). So naturally, Vil assumed this little potato was yet another admirer, and while he was flattered, he was not at all amused with how they "bent over backwards" just to see him. Just try to approach him normally next time, and maybe he'd be inclined to help them fix their clothes!
We know he really meant well despite how strict he acted, but Yuu didn't. What a self-centered, condescending arse he was! Coupling with the embarrassing situation, Yuu vowed to never like Vil, like ever <3 Not even Cater-senpai's long list of Vil's achievement can change their little stubborn mind! Not like they'd ever willingly see his works, his films, his interviews, his modelling on their own accord!
Fortunately, they never crossed path again so neither paid any more mind to the other. Unfortunately (for Yuu), they gotta bit back their complaints when they was forced to welcome Vil and his NRC entourage into Ramshackle dorm in book 5. Ok they might have tried to play a nice host, but that's because of their friends and because they actually got manners, unlike some superstar! Unfortunately being a magicless half-student and all, they couldn't really voice their opinion, but seeing Epel's "pitiful" state they silently sided with the boy and felt some type of camaraderie with him. Vil, being emotionally dense as he was, didn't realize Yuu wasn't his biggest fan, he just assumed they were a little too starstruck and shy when facing their favorite star <3 (to his defense he was quite astute with malice, and Yuu's awkwardness around him does nothing to indicate that they didn't like him, they just seemed like some of his shy fans <3 which was adorable in a way)
Things started to change along with how the events unfolded, and Yuu started to see other sides of Vil and see through his tough facade and his smart mouth. And Vil... finally got to understand that Yuu neither was shy nor idolized him, they simply did not like him, and that was because of Vil Schoenheit the asshole upperclassman who "made fun" of them (sorry for pointing out the person who fell flat in front of his heels), who "forced their friends go through unimaginable horror" (it was just stretching exercises and a ban of unhealthy snacks), whose "attitude and approach suck harder than a prostitute with a dick" (he'd never heard such... vulgar and graphic comparison before, but that aside he had no justification). They hadn't even seen his work! They hadn't even seen his portrayal of evil villains and all, so their perception of him was just... refreshingly just another student in NRC, albeit a very mean one. Kinda like Epel in a way (though Epel's case was another can of worms... no preconceptions whatsoever except his ideals for manliness).
And throughout his breakdown and overblot, both Vil and Yuu gotta face the inner demons of Vil's, and Rook's encouragement for Vil's beauty as long as he himself believed in it, and the first years chimed in and said how awesome Vil was, and Yuu quietly admitted to misunderstanding him, and they were sorry for accusing him of being superficial despite they themself were superficial when it came to judging him.
And all of those words meant a lot and Vil put his all in his performance, with Yuu, more objectively this time, witnessing his highness' in all of his glory ✨️✨️✨️
Ignoring the chaos that ensued later with Neige and Rook's "betrayal" lol
#ok I know this wasn't as close to the plot of StarStruck as I hope#but the development of the leads was a bit too fast and unnatural for me#not to mention jessica's attitude towards christopher was a bit too pick-me personally#anyway this is cute romcom idea that I type on my phone with near zero beta so sorry for any potential spelling/grammatical errors!#i still have another vilyuu idea but i haven't come up with the resolution#i might still put it up for everyone to brainstorm <3#it is unfortunately angst tho#twst#twisted wonderland#vil schoenheit#vil schoenheit x reader#vilyuu#vil x reader#once again sorry for the word vomit type of post#English isn't my first language

Rose Gardens - Eris Vanserra.
A/N: So this is the longest fic I've ever written and this is a 1st part I think, depending if people want more!
W/C: 4.9K
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
You'd been quickly taken in by Rhys and Cassian when you stumbled upon them in a war camp after the first war, running for your life from the captivity you'd just escaped, both men were weary of you at first but willing to help you, it was their nature after all, despite the roles they played, it wasn't until they introduced you to the third member of their rag tag band that you knew they'd never send you away, never let anything hurt you.
They both went still like beautiful statues as the Shadowsinger took you in, roamed his eyes over your face as his shadows darted towards you and danced around you as if you were an old friend and then he fell to his knees in front of you, an act that shocked his brothers. He wrapped his arms around your middle and explained to his brothers that you were the only one who spoke to him during his imprisonment. As the daughter of a servant who worked in the kitchen of his father's home you'd sneak him meals and tend to any wounds his half brothers inflicted on him. You alone had sat outside the bars of his cell for hours while he howled in pain and cried about his ruined hands. It was you who taught him not to be scared of his shadows, doing as much research as a fairly illiterate child could, sneaking him the pages you thought were important from the library you weren't allowed to be in.
His mother had loved you like her own when you'd joined them on their hour-long visits, the only chance the two of you had to play as children should and you'd continued to visit her long after Azriel had been sent to Windhaven to train. Until you were thrown in his empty cell having been found with his mother by his father. His only reprieve Azriel had called you.
You'd have done anything for Azriel, he was your best friend, your only friend and you'd been punished for every time you'd helped him, everytime you snuck down to that damp cell, not that you ever told him. You knew he'd send you away, tell you not to come back. You'd been too young at the time to understand the feeling in your chest when you went to visit him and he was gone. You'd spent years thinking they'd killed him until this moment right here when he was on his knees in front of you. Tears welled in your eyes as you joined him on your knees and wrapped your arms around his neck. "I thought you were dead, I thought they'd killed you." You had sobbed into his neck, Rhys and Cassian had stepped away to allow the two of you to have your reunion alone and sitting in the mud and blood of a battlefield you did.
His mother had never told you where he'd gone, knowing you'd follow and quickly be made a play thing for the other warriors, knowing her son would die before he let that happen to you, it had happened anyway, your time in captivity was spent being passed around his half brothers.
In the years you'd known Azriel, the two of you had only ever been friends. You assumed this was due to knowing each other since you were children and you'd never seen or looked at him in that way. You knew he was stunningly beautiful and the other females loved him and the air of mystery he carried but not you. His brother however, his High Lord had piqued your interest from the moment you'd collided with him in the woods and hit the ground like you'd run into a tree. From the second your eyes had met his Violet ones you were done for.
You'd spent years being his confidant. The only one he'd share the weight he carried with. Itnever moved past the physical with you, Rhysand seeking you out when it all became too much and he needed a reprieve. But you'd take whatever you could get from Rhysand despite the sad looks the Shadowsinger gave you when he caught you tiptoeing out of the High Lords room or study in the early hours. The relentless teasing from Cassian or the smirks from Mor when she thought he wasn't looking. Rhys had never picked up on your feelings or if he had, he'd never mentioned it.
Life in the Night Court was good and you were happy, it had taken some adjusting. After being told every moment of Az's life since he'd left. It had taken you a while to not be mad at Cassian, something that he made very hard to do. Or wipe the dirty look off of your face as Mor toyed with him. "I love her." Azriel had pleaded with you to give her a chance, to support his feelings. You eventually had, especially after she'd told you about why she'd slept with Cassian. What had happened to her after, your heart broke for her and you let it be, taking note that Eris Vanserra was a male you never wanted to meet. You let her flit between your best friend and his brother and you didn't even notice it anymore. Az was a big boy now and could handle himself and you both knew you'd be there to pick up the pieces of him in the end.
Everything fell apart when Amarantha arrived and seized every bit of control she could. Rhys was gone and the world was crumbling. It had taken you five years to do anything other than sleep and read. Moving from your room to the library and back again. Sometimes you could picture Rhys, sitting next to you in the firelight of the library doing his paperwork as you read. His gentle chuckle as your face screwed up in disgust or lit up in joy depending on what was happening in your books. Every year you went to Calanmai after that, never to participate but knowing he was there. One of the few liberties he was allowed after hearing whispers of his attendance the year before, her whore they'd called him. You never saw him, whether he wasn't there or was avoiding you, you had no clue, you guessed on the latter. He'd gone to her willingly to protect Velaris, his family and you. He wouldn't risk it out of fear that the next time he walked into her throne room, you'd be there, broken and beaten and that she'd make him take the final blow to end you.
49 years, it took 49 years for him to come back to you. To come home. He'd winnowed into the house in the middle of dinner and taken his usual seat as if it was nothing, and started loading his plate with food. "What are you all staring at?" He asked when he'd finally loaded his plate. The dining room was silent and then it snapped, cutlery hit the table with a clang and chairs scraped against the floor as Azriel and Cassian ran for their brother. Mor stood hand over her mouth in shock until she pushed both warriors out of the way to embrace her cousin. Then all eyes turned to you, and with that damned smile on his mouth he asked "Didn't you miss me, sweet girl?" And with that you were moving, running at him full speed until you leapt at him, he caught you with ease and let you cry into his neck, taking his seat again and asking Azriel to pass your plate.
It was three days before he'd told you all of what had happened, of the human girl turned High Fae who had saved you all. One who he mentioned would be staying with you one week a month and you were excited to have a new friend. You'd hoped you could help her adjust, having been the last one who had joined the Night Court. Her first week here, three months later, was rough. You'd learned she was to marry Tamlin and that Rhys had winnowed her out from her wedding as she was screaming to be rescued. He'd kept Cass and Az away from her and you and Mor were the only ones permitted to see her as long as you didn't bother her.
Since his return Rhys had distanced himself from you and you'd put it down to the trauma he'd endured under the mountain and you left it alone. You couldn't help thinking sometimes that you were missing something, that something was going on that you weren't aware of, especially when the teasing and the smirks stopped, when Az's sad looks turned to looks of pity.
You'd managed to bond with Feyre today. Something you were very proud of, smiling gently to yourself as you headed to your room to grab your current book so you could keep the girl company while she practiced her writing in the library. You couldn't help but pick up on the hushed tones of Mor and Rhysand bickering. "Maybe you should just tell her?" Mor suggested, tell who what? "Oh yeah, that's a great idea, Feyre, I know you're in love with Tamlin and you're going to marry him but I just thought you should know I'm your mate and you are mine." Mates, mates, mates. The words span round and round in your head. You could hear them moving towards the door and you needed to get out of there. Needed to be hidden in your room while you figured out how to breathe again. You felt your heart disintegrate and your treacherous feet wouldn't move from the spot outside of Rhys' study.
You'd just started to panic as the door opened and you came face to face with Mor. Her eyes widened as yours widened right back at her and she slid through the door and closed it behind her. She was blocking you from Rhys' view, you realised. She grabbed your arm and gave you a look that said "Not here, hold it together, not where he can hear you." And the world enveloped into darkness as she Winnowed the two of you to the balcony at the top of the house. She stepped back and looked at you again.
"He didn't want you to find out like this." She said calmly, you were numb. "Did he want me to find out at all?" You croaked, she sighed. "Of course he did, he's not blind, he knows how you feel for him, knows that you waited 50 years for him, he's always known, he didn't want to hurt you and he knew this would." Your world collapsed, he'd known all along. You felt like a fool and your knees gave out as you sobbed. Mor joined you on the ground and cradled you in her arms trying her best to comfort you. You could barely hear over the thumping in your ears but you were vaguely aware of another presence on the balcony and that you'd been transferred from one set of arms to another. Taking a deep breathe to calm yourself you took in the familiar scent of Azriel and continued to cry into his chest as he held you, neither him or Mor moved.
"I need to get back to the library." You sniffled to your friends. "Feyre asked me to keep her company while she does her writing." Mor shook her head. "You don't need to do that." You smiled at her weakly "I told her I would and I will." You heard Az sigh behind you but he hauled you up with him to a standing position and wiped the last of your tears from your face. "You gonna be okay?" He asked but you knew what he meant, it went deeper than okay, and you knew if you'd asked him he'd walk straight into Rhys' study and punch him for you. You nodded at him and he Winnowed you to your room so you could retrieve your book and return to the library. He followed you there, you knew he would, you were hurting and you knew for the next little while, Az would never be far away. He was trying his best to distract you with stupid stories of Cassian when you stopped dead and he nearly ran into your back, there stood Rhys, reading Feyre's writing and smiling at her like she'd put stars in the sky.
You steeled yourself, straightened your back and held your head high as you nodded at Az who faded into the shadows of the library and walked towards the pair of them. "Found some other company I see?" You tried tease but your voice didn't come out as strong as you wanted it too and Rhys raised a questioning eyebrow that you ignored. Feyre turned to you as you felt a shadow slide its way round your wrist and up the sleeve of your tunic "I'm here." It seemed to say. "I was just about to come looking for you!" She said, her voice was like a chime and you smiled "Sorry it took me so long to get back, I had to help Az with something quickly."
She looked at Rhys "Who's Az?" Rhys eyes darted behind you into the shadows that Azriel was hiding himself in. Busted. Of course he knew he was there. "Azriel is one of my two brothers, he's away working right now." He told her as he glared at where Az was hiding.
It was later that night when Rhys called you to his study. You knew what was coming and you'd already heard him say the words but you weren't ready to hear them said directly to you. You sat as if you'd been frozen in place while he spoke. While he told you he loved you but it wasn't fair on you or her if he carried on with you. That he didn't want to hurt you and that he was sorry that he had. You surprised him when you pulled together all you had left and said. "I'm happy for you Rhysand, honestly, what a blessing to find a mate in a place like that." And you meant it. "Since when do you call me Rhysand?" He questioned as hurt flashed through his eyes. You shrugged, since about 4pm this afternoon you thought. When it became unbearable to call him anything else. "How are you going to tell the others?" You had known Mor knew thanks to the conversation you'd overheard anyway and then something clicked in your head. Azriel had never asked why you were crying. Rhys coughed and said "They already know, I just didn't know how to tell you." Just as there was a knock on the door he looked to you and your unmoving figure and told whoever was outside to come in.
He expected you to relax as Az came in followed by Cassian, you looked up at the two warriors and your heart filled with anger as you stood to face your best friend. "You knew?" You asked him, eyes looking dead into his, he nodded. "You didn't tell me? You just gave me pitiful looks while he distanced himself?" Azriel looked at the floor as he said. "He's my High Lord, I was asked not to tell you." For the second time that day, your heart disintegrated and you threw yourself at the Shadowsinger. Fists pounding on his chest, you knew he wouldn't stop you. Knew he would let you hit him as many times as you wanted until it was out of your system. The tears you swore you wouldn't spill in front of Rhys betrayed you and ran down your cheeks. It was Cassian who reacted, wrapping his giant arm around your middle and hauling you out of the study. He didn't let you go until you were both in the library and he was sitting in your favorite chair by the fire. You curled in his lap like a scared child crying into his chest.
You weren't sure how long you sat there. Curled into the massive general. You knew it had been some time since you'd cried yourself out. Exhausted and empty you stayed where you were, staring into nothingness. You weren't sure how long it had been since Azriel had joined the two of you in the library. You hadn't acknowledged him as he kneeled in front of you desperately trying to meet your eyes. You'd ignored him. The Shadowsinger tried everything he had in his arsenal to get you to look at him. He sent Shadows to dance around your fingers and hair, you'd waved them off and curled more into Cassian. You felt the General shake his head at his brother who sighed, stood up, kissed your forehead and left, shrouded by more shadows than you'd ever seen him covered in. You were thankful that Rhys had the sense to leave you be. No, you weren't sure how long you'd sat there, but you woke up the next day in your bed, eyes sore and shadows fluttering nearby.
It was days before you acknowledged Azriel again, weeks before you spoke words to him and only then you gave basic one word answers and only spoke when spoken too but there was an ever present shadow following you. All too soon the remaining Archeron sisters came tumbling out of the Cauldron, Cassian's wings were shredded and Azriel was bleeding out, he hadn't wanted you there, was insistent on it. "It's too dangerous!" He'd said and you'd scoffed at him, still so angry with him. Why you'd felt so betrayed by his silence about Rhys and Feyre. The latter had accepted the bond with great joy, you were happy for them, you could see how well they worked. You felt sick to your stomach looking down at Azriel, not daring to move towards him. It was Feyre who saved you all. She broke the bond with Rhys and fell back into Tamlin's arms. Rhys roared in pain, a sound you'd never heard him make and you flinched as Mor grabbed you. She winnowed over to Feyre's sisters. Ripping Elain away from Lucien. You grabbed Nesta, who Cassian had been desperately trying to reach since she'd been dragged into the throne room in her night dress. Mor winnowed again, back to safety. Back to the place that no longer felt like a home to you.
War was coming. Tamlin in his heartbreak had allowed Hyburns forces to enter Prythian via Spring. Feyre had destroyed him and his court from the inside, a move you did not agree with and she had returned with Lucien as High Lady of the Night Court, another move you didn't agree with, she was, after all, a child compared to the rest of you. A child with far too much power. A meeting had been arranged with all the High Lords. They would meet at the palace in the Dawn Court. It was there you'd first seen him. Tall, pale, arrogant, freckles across his face that looked like constellations. He'd caught you staring at him and smirked at you. His amber eyes met yours and you felt a tiny spark of something in your chest as a small gasp escaped from your mouth. He continued to watch you as Mor bounced up to your side and glared at him. "That's Eris." She spoke lowly into your ear and in solidarity with your friend, your curious look turned into a glare as well. As she dragged you away you wondered if he had the same gift as Rhys as you swore you could hear his low chuckle in your head. It was the best sound you'd ever heard.
To say the meeting was a shitshow was putting it lightly. Tamlin showed up and blamed Feyre for the invasion of the Spring Court and the subsequent attack on Summer. Rhys tried to persuade everyone he was a good guy all along and then silenced Tamlin from speaking. Eris made some comments about Mor and Azriel truly lost his shit. It was you who pulled him off of the Autumn Heir. Feyre pulled rank and asked Azriel to sit with her and the chaos continued as Beron ordered his son out of the room to clean himself up. You don't know why you did it. You don't know what in the cauldron possessed you to wait five minutes and follow Eris out of the room, but you did. You could heal, that was your thing and Rhys said you needed allies. That's what you were doing. Making allies. That's what you were convincing yourself of as you sought him out. You weren't even sure how you knew where he'd gone but somehow, you did.
You found him sitting on a stone bench in one of the gardens. Picking the petals off of a rose he'd picked from one of the many bushes that surrounded him. You hid behind one as you watched him, watched his nimble fingers pull off petal after petal. Watched them catch fire and burn as they fell to the ground. Watched him run and hand down his face and then wince in pain. "You know I know you're there right?" He asked, looking straight at the bush you were hiding behind.
You cleared your throat, straightened your dress, held your head high as Rhys had always taught you to do and walked towards him. His eyes took you in, roaming you up and down. "Azriel must be getting really sloppy at training his spies, you weren't quiet at all." You bristled at his comment. "I'm not a spy and you shouldn't bait him." He rolled his eyes. "But it's so fun getting under the Shadowsinger's skin." You rolled your eyes this time. "So you like getting your ass kicked then?" He crossed his arms and winced as he did so. "He just got lucky." You laughed. "Uh huh, sure he did." His eyes narrowed as he looked at you. "If you're not a spy, why are you spying on me?" You huffed. "I wasn't spying on you, I can heal, I'm a good healer, I just thought I'd offer to help but then I found you and all the stories I've been told caught up with me and I hesitated." He uncrossed his arms but his eyes narrowed more and his brow furrowed. "Ah I see, the villainous Eris Vanserra, at your service."
You sighed and sat next to him. "I tend to like to form my own opinions, thank you. People aren't always what they seem." He froze, his face morphed into shock and then back to suspicious all within the space of about 3 seconds. "You'd be the first." He muttered as he picked another rose and began picking and burning the petals. "No healer can be that good, I'll heal well enough." You stood from the bench and kneeled at the pile of burnt petals at his feet. You hovered your hands over them and he watched, eyebrows raised as a soft golden glow emitted from your palms. He watched in awe as the petal reformed and you picked it up and handed it to him, retaking your place next to him on the bench. "I'm that good." You smirked. "Modest too." He said as he smirked right back.
The two of you fell into easy conversation for the next few minutes before you broached the subject again. "So will you let me?" He raised an eyebrow at you. "Let you what?" He smirked. "Heal you?" His smirk turned into a small smile. "You really don't have to do that, I'll heal on my own." You gave him a proper smile. "I want to." He hesitated. "I don't even have to touch you, it'll be super quick and it won't hurt-" he cut you off. "Okay, okay." You beamed and held your hands up to his face, without touching him. He watched with awe again as your palms turned golden. He could feel the skin on his face stitching back together. Your palms moved down, hovering over his chest. "Y/N, what the hell are you doing?" You froze at the sound of Azriel's voice and Eris watched your eyes widen. You turned to face the Shadowsinger. "I was helping." Azriel's eyes flashed. "You don't help him." Your eyes narrowed at him. "That's not your choice to make." You could feel the smirk Eris undoubtedly had on his face. "Get inside Y/N." You crossed your arms. "Excuse me? Who do you think you're talking to?" A throat cleared behind Eris. "Someone who's doing as his High Lord's orders." Eris watched your spine straighten. "Inside, Y/N. Now." Rhys said, leaving no room for argument. You looked at Eris one last time. "Goodbye." You murmured and you turned to walk past Azriel. Eris grabbed your wrist and pulled you back towards him. "It was lovely to meet you, Y/N. I hope to see you again soon." He said as he slipped something into your hand and he kissed your knuckles. "Unlikely." Azriel spat at the Autumn Lordling and followed you inside.
As soon as you were alone in your room, you opened your palm to find the rose you had healed for him. You quickly stowed it away in your trunk as Azriel walked through the door. "You don't knock now?" You asked him as you crossed your arms. "What the hell was that about?" He mimicked your stance and you could tell he was fighting his temper. "I was healing him after you beat the shit out of him? Is that not why we're here? For alliances?" He ran a frustrated hand down his face. "You don't go near him, Y/N, you know what he did to Mor." You scoffed at him. "I'm a big girl, Azriel, you can't tell me what to do!" Shadows flared and skitted about the room. "I'm trying to keep you safe! I don't want the same thing to happen to you! He's not a good male!" "We need him, Azriel! We need Autumn!" Power crackled in the room and darkness snuffed out all the light. "Leave, Azriel." Rhysands smooth commanding voice filled the room. The Shadowsinger huffed but obeyed.
"Here to scold me like a child too?" You asked Rhys as soon as Azriel was out the door. "What's going on with you lately?" Rhys asked, taking a seat in one of the armchairs by the fire and crossing one long leg over the other. "Nothing." He let out a bitter laugh. "Don't lie to me." You sat opposite him. "I'm not." You cringed as you felt the talons of his power scraping across your mind. "Get out of my head Rhys." He sighed, uncrossed his legs and rested his elbows on his knees. "Then tell me what's going on? Your snappy, distant and today you went after Eris!" You huffed. "We're here for alliances! I offered my help!" He scoffed. "Looked more friendly than that if you ask me!" You rolled your eyes. "It was nothing, I offered to help him heal, that's all!" You were almost shouting at him as your hand rubbed at your chest where a warmth had settled since you'd left Eris in the garden. Rhys stood. "Don't come crying to me when you get hurt." He snapped as he left the room.
You paced the length of the room a couple of times, frustration filling you and angry tears filled your eyes. Why had you gone after Eris? How did you know exactly where he was? What was this warm feeling that hadn't left your chest? You did the only thing that seemed logical and threw yourself on your bed and cried. You weren't sure when you'd fallen asleep but when you woke it was dark and the palace was quiet. You rolled over and spotted a note on your bedside table. Curiosity over took you and you pulled it open.
Dear Y/N,
I hope you didn't get in too much trouble for helping me. Your friends are not particularly fond of me for things that happened many years ago that haven't ever been properly explained.
I thank you for your time and your gentle words. No one has been that kind to me for a very long time. Please know if you ever need me, all you need to do is write. Just think of me and the note will come to me. Don't let life in the Night Court snuff you out. There's a whole world out there Y/N. Explore it.
I would very much like to see you again before you leave tomorrow, before war takes over again. I'll be in the garden. I hope to see you.
Sincerely,
Eris.
You didn't think twice as you sprung out of bed, shoved your slippers on your feet and took off out of your room towards the gardens. You were praying you weren't too late as you cleared the front door and rounded the corner to the rose garden where you found him earlier. Your heart sank as you took in the empty garden. You'd missed him. He wasn't here. You sighed and sunk down on the bench.
"Looking for someone?"
