End of year asks: RPC Edition! Have you read/watched/played anything new thanks to the rpc this year? well, i will say that even though it's been one of my very few privet roleplays, i've been rping as zack, genesis and angeal, rufus and let me tell you, zack's kinda been one of the loudest surprisingly--he is so different from sephiroth in every way, but i love it. i've also been so very tempted to write andrea (ff.viii remake) but i aint done it because im sooo scared. i'm scared. there's not much info of him for me to work with. lol also my ass got into y.akuza (it's just a way of life for me ever since and i am obsessed and i aint never looked back.) this year so i been playing that since july??? my ass is now on 5th game and i've been wanting to try to write one of characters that have captured me (kiryu, mine, majima, nishiki, ryuji, to name a few) but it's rpc seems so small. i wanna still at least try.

Talk about one of your favorite threads that started this year. (If you get multiple of this ask, talk about multiple threads!) one of the ones i really enjoy happen to be the one w/ sephiroth and cindy for sure . because to be honest sephiroth was just so lost. i like how he kept forgetting that his lil flip phone (since then i've been ignoring ffvii's lore in that area/ canon and had him to be updated like the rest of the world so he doesn't use flipphones anymore), or his phone in general just would not reach back to gaia. he did this because he was just kinda there in eos so aimlessly and he knew nothing, so then he meets cindy and he's kinda like '...oh, oh...so maybe it aint all bad...' and he's finding excuses to stay longer). what was was even more unexpected was how they got to together. and i dont regret it. because when it comes to her, he becomes a literal marshmallow.😭😭😭

1. Talk about the first time you and your f/o met. How was it like?

I killed someone in front of him! :) my y7 insert is Spicy and i always think of them in terms of being a companion in his next game so they're very self-indulgently competent. they're just kind of a general freelance Crime Boi who ichiban approached for. assistance??? recruitment i guess????? and some jackass was Very Rude to me so i stabbed him a little. ichi was not a huge fan.

2. How long did it take for you and your f/o to gain feelings for each other? Was it fast or did the feelings grow slowly? Who was the first to get romantic feelings? 

ichiban was genuinely earnestly nice to me one (1) time and i fell in love with him immediately. it happened within like a week of us meeting. this is also probably how it would go if i met him irl.

ichi had to take some time to get over my murdery ways, and my s/i is very much a closed book, so it took him a lot longer. it's a one sided slow burn

9. Before dating, did either of you ever have any embarrassing moments? (Examples: Socially awkward moments, almost accidentally revealing your feelings to them, being clumsy, etc.)

the issue with making a bar your base of operations is that everybody gets drunk Way Too Often and i am a sappy drunk. there are many potentially embarrassing near misses, but luckily ichiban is, canonically, completely fucking oblivious, so it's just the rest of the party (and The Bartender) who get to take the piss the next day. there's quite a bit of general awkwardness on his end once he catches feelings too, but the biggest Moment was when the party hit the town one night and i joked abt wanting one of the golden retriever plushies from the claw machine. ichi drunkenly blew all of his pocket change trying and failing to win one for me. he was very upset and i had to pretend i wasn't also a little bit upset. neither of us heard the end of it from the other fuckers in the party for weeks afterwards.

i. i am not your mother’s/father’s yu.ffie blog. while i do have a verse reserved for compilation content, that’s not the main premise of this blog. if you came here for oversexualized underage ninjas.... i’m going to have to direct you elsewhere. out here we’re primarily an adult modern interpretation... who does not daylight as a ninja constantly. she can, however, be a y.akuza or a sheltered member of high society who enjoys kicking ass for justice so if you’re interested in that, y’know. c’mon down.

ii. the typical ‘ yu.ffie is a kleptomaniac ’ / ‘ stop stealing my stuff ’ trope is like. one that grates my very existence. i have talked about this many times, but for those of you who are new: yufi has only stolen out of necessity to her cause. the only time i’ll refer to petty theft on this blog is if she like steals a fry or something. if we’re joking around, okay, but... please don’t consider that to be the sole core of her characterization. i’m begging. i’m on my knees. i’m warning you, i’ll cry and then i’ll probably ignore whatever post you’ve mentioned it in if you’re serious. just. don’t be that person if you’re following me.

if we’re going into it, the only times she’s stolen anything were: > in crisis core, as the ‘ treasure princess. ’  but this is arguable, as the treasure is truly up for grabs to start with & zack repeatedly goes after these locations she’s sent to him ( which, by the way, were sent to her from rufus to attempt to retaliate against + destroy shinra hq ). zack already knew what was up when: 1) she showed up in his spam folder; 2) she literally said she’s on the hunt for treasure; and 3) he knew at least after the second time that he was gon’ get goinked ( please see definition #2 ) so... can’t help him there. > in vanilla vii, when the party is foolish enough to meet her and not recruit her off the bat ( it be ya own self ). to be fair, 99% of her interactions with easterners / non-wutai prior to that moment had been people who either wanted to kill her or exploit her, so... it’s only self-preservation to use them before they use her or worse, leave her for dead. a sad reality for a 16 year old. > in vanilla vii, only after the party arrives to wutai & she thinks she can successfully finish her mission of “ getting all the strongest materia. ” after she’s captured, she does apologize, and then afterward makes cloud sign it in writing. so. y’know, she did learn from her mistake & said “ ugh, guess i gotta put that diplomacy training to use. ”

y’all could argue that she’s a thief class and that’s what they do, but note that it’s NOT one of her core skills-- it’s a MATERIA. which means everyone out there with a steal materia could be out here being a kleptomaniac. cloud? barret? tifa? red xiii? none of your favs are safe. her skills in the game, however, are shit called “ blood festival ” ( oh? see the username’s relevance all of a sudden? aha! ) and “ doom of the living. ”  she’s out here summoning ghosts and reigning otherworldly power on ur ass but... fandom wasn’t ready for that conversation !!  some folks were too BASIC and couldn’t handle her true strength... so i will gladly champion that for you.

iii. i like to emphasize that yufi is an emotionally strong yet traumatized figure, which stems from her origins and that i just put that in the forefront. we have a character who is haunted by her mother who died after childbirth, seemingly rejected from her father yet held to the highest of his standards, has attachment issues because she’s the “ black sheep ” and doesn’t just accept defeat or dejection even if it comes from her core community, survived multiple wars, has led in post-war rescue efforts on multiple occasions, was wrongfully imprisoned, was on the forefront of pandemic outbreaks as a first-responder, joins and rises to the top of an organization created to restore world order, is one of the two top operatives in said organization ( and the one out on the field longer--sorry vin.cent, but u only got involved at lu.cretia and when the actual gunshots disturbed your brooding and wine session filled isolation sessions. but like, mood tho ), pretends to be cheery despite clearly remembering all the hauntings and death and other bullshit she’s been facing since she was a toddler.... oh, and she disarmed bombs when her country was wrongfully targeted + used as political bait for terrorists...when she was a child. that’s canon, if we’re talking about  “ accuracy. ” even in vanilla vii, she had no outlets, no one to turn to, ‘cause everyone was cloud vc: “ not interested. ”  

so if you’re on this blog, it’s not like you won’t see happy  yufi... but realize that i recognize that she is multifaceted and has a lot of baggage. emotional issues which unfortunately i bring to every verse gfdohfofh but u know, it’s core to her character + y’all gon have to deal, or... idk, go find another yufi. i’m not forcing you to be here.

iv. in my opinion, the best plotting comes with ooc conversations/interactions. i’m not saying if we plot that we��re required to be friends, ‘cause i don’t wanna force anyone into friendship, but i truly believe that if you want super deep plots with frequent interactions, we should... probably talk more than once. pretty simple, imo !  sometimes people claim i play favorites, but i really don’t... if you never talk to me and you don’t respond to my attempts to interact, then how am i supposed to know you’re interested? 

as a general rule, i’ll put in as much effort as i receive. if i see you’re interested in me, if we’re really vibing when it comes to plotting, if you’re sending asks & liking posts, we’ve got some threads going, rad !  if i like starter calls and send you asks and message you and you never respond to me... ?  i’ll take that as a sign you don’t wanna talk + i should move on to someone else. if i’m wrong, well... do something to change my mind.

v. i know i went hard as fuck on this meme, but that’s bc I’M REALLY PASSIONATE ABOUT ABOUT THIS MUSE.  in reality i’m actually quite soft + a weenie babie. if you ask.......... most people, i think they’d say i try really hard to be approachable and adaptable. i think everyone who talks to me on discord laughs at me because i’m scared of the stupidest things + i love to make jokes and just be funny and relatable. so please be nice and love me and my sassy fighty extremely tough deprived child. we both need hugs.

He is exceedingly comfortable in his own body, he thinks he’s hot shit and it translates well into his nice guy act that he uses to cover for how he usually is. He’s nearly 6ft, athletic, but no real muscle and while he is jealous of how strong his best boyfriend is, it doesn’t bother him that much that he probably couldn’t win a fight without his help. He has a lot of pride in his appearance as the son of a Y.akuza head. Appearances are everything in the business world and even more so when your in the dark underbelly of it.

🍅  :    how does my muse feel about plastic  /  cosmetic surgeries   &   procedures?  is it something they have done or would do?  do they mind if others do it?  

Seiji has no real opinion on it, though he does see the money in it. He doesn’t care what other people choose to do with their bodies it’s not his business until it’s actually useful information to blackmail people.

🍏  :    how stable is my muse’s physical health?  do they go for regular or semi-regular checkups by a physician?  do they have any diagnosed illnesses and / or take any medication?  how often do they get sick?

He’s pretty healthy and he does go in for checkups every year outside of the usual doctors visits you typically need done. He doesn’t get sick too often, but he does get hurt pretty regularly due to his “hobbies”.

🍎  :    how stable is my muse’s mental health?  have they been diagnosed with any mental illnesses and  /  or conditions?  do they have any undiagnosed mental illnesses and  /  or conditions?  do they or should they attend therapy?

He’s relatively stable, though due to the pressure he’s put on himself, perceived pressure and actual pressure from his family (not his dad, mainly higher up Y.akuza members). He tends to bottle everything up as to not show even the slightest hint of weakness that someone could pick at to get under his skin or even worse use against him. It usually implodes on him late at night in his bedroom when he’s sure no ones awake.

🍑  :    how meticulously does my muse look after their physical appearance?  do they spend a lot of time on their hair,  makeup,  grooming,  and clothing?  is there a particular reason why they do or don’t?  

Seiji is very particular about his appearance. Formalities are everything in his line of work and if you look suspicious your going to get unwanted attention. He wears a bit of makeup just to hide imperfections in his skin and he is very particular about what he wears. He blames it on his work of course, but he also a bit vain.

🍒  :    how much does my muse value companionship?  do they constantly keep people around them,  or do they prefer to be alone often?  do they have or desire to have many friends?  do they see every meeting as an opportunity to make a new friend?  

Seiji values loyalty and is extremely close with his childhood friend, Akira. Since Akira is a bit of a loner he often has to force his way into his life, but he enjoys his company a lot even if its sitting in silence while they read in his tiny apartment. He also values loyalty among the people who work under him even if he is a bit cruel in how he obtains it. He sees every meeting about as valuable as the person is to him or how likely he’s going to meet them again.

🍇  :    how would my muse describe their childhood?  how much has it impacted the person they are now,  or will become as an adult?  around what age did they or will they start to mature,  and why?  do they wish to go back to their days as a child,  or have they embraced adulthood?  

He would describe his childhood as happy and carefree aside from nearly being kidnaped a couple times. He had to grow up fast especially once his parents divorced, suddenly the times his dad was busy with business when his mother would usually take over he was left alone with one of his dad’s body guards having to learn to do things around the house on his own. Especially once middle school hit and he was expected to be more independent he had to learn fast. He’s embraced being an adult though he is only 18, he just wishes his mom was still around and resents his dad for the divorce. 

🍐  :    how intelligent is my muse overall?  are they smarter than the average person,  or less than?  are they primarily self-taught,  or did they acquire most of their knowledge in school?  are they more street smart or book smart?  

He is very intelligent, not just by my own head cannons, he is legitimately simeoutainously a idiot and extremely smart. He’s smart in some areas like business and “negotiating”, but he’s also very dumb in literally everything else. He’s pretty much a dumb ass preppy bitch with a jock best boyfriend. He’s self taught for the most part, while he does do enough school work to pass at the bare minimum, he doesn’t plan on going to university he just wants to follow his father’s footsteps and eventually take over the family business himself. He’s absolutely more street smart than book smart.

🍉  :    which of the four seasons suits my muse best,  and why?  

Seiji likes spring and winter mostly because of the scenery. He likes watching the birds and flowers during the spring and it’s not so hot that he can’t go on walks unlike the summer. Winter he likes to watch the snow and stay bundled up inside reading.

🍌  :    is my muse inclined to help others,  or will they only do it when it benefits them,  if at all?  what makes them this way?  has it ever gotten them into trouble,  or inconvenienced them?

He will only help other people unless their is a benefit to him (or if they’re his friend), he doesn’t like getting mixed up in other people’s affairs when he already has enough to deal with. Also even though he would absolutely help Akira with whatever he needs at the drop of a hat, last time he did he nearly got arrested for trespassing, beheaded by one ghost, and burnt alive by another.

🍊  :    does my muse desire romance?  is it something they would actively seek out,  or prefer to happen more  ‘  naturally?  ’  what is their love life like?  do they have any exes or past flings,  or crushes?  

He does to an extent, he’s a flirt of course, but he’s more focused on his work than relationships. He’d prefer for things to happen more naturally for himself rather than someone forcing their way into his life because of his family’s money and obvious ties. He has a few exes from highschool and he is down bad for his best friend.

🍓  :    how is my muse typically seen by others?  does it ring true to who they really are?  does their reputation matter to them?

He’s typically seen as a nice and outgoing guy with a bit of a reputation because of his family ties. Truthfully he is not nice and he will ruin you and your family if you cross him. His reputation only matters as far as keeping his underground matters out of public light, if he has to flash his family crest of intimidate someone he will with no hesitation.

Seiji’s actually really good at singing, though he doesn’t do it around other people unless it’s just him and Akira. Though he is extremely good at digging up dirt on people and is very good at intimidating them for someone who isn’t the most intimidating looking person in the world.

🍋  :    what kind of diet does my muse have?  do they eat regularly,  or the standard 2-3 meals a day?  do they have to be reminded to eat,  or are they likely to remind others?  do they cook,  or have others cook for them?  do they eat healthily,  or not so much?  

He eats pretty healthy and takes care of himself, eating 2-3 meals a day because his dad and help cook for him if they don’t go out. 

🥭  :    how important to my muse is their hometown,  or where they’re from?  are they proud of it,  or considered a hometown hero?  did they move away,  or do they wish to?

Extremely important. He’s only 18 and already has a criminal record and not even mentioning his family ties. He’s already had rival gangs try to kidnap him when he was a kid to get at his dad. He has no intentions of moving away or even wishing to, he’s pretty comfortable where he’s at with his sphere of influence.

I think I forgot why exactly I adore the y.akuza series and now I’m replaying 0 because I have no self control and wanted to before playing 6 anyway (5 burnt me out there’s too much content somehow, still haven’t beaten it Im in the finale and I got so tired) also I missed my delightful little man who I do love very much and I missed out on like half the substories and most of the minigames plus real estate and cabaret club

Anyway it’s probably one of my favorite games I very much love it despite essentially skipping all the stuff I learned I loved in the later games (I adore the story it makes sense at all it’s a delight, weirdly almost straightforward)

Good morning gamers!! Hope you're all doing well! As for me, I'm doing good! Might work on another attack for Artfight! ^^ Also I figured I should update you all on things I've been watching getting into lately!

First off, I finished L.upin Part 6!! I've been meaning to watch it since I could never make it past Episode 6 on multiple occasions-afjsnfkdj It felt good to finally see L.upin again Since I've loved him for 4, almost 5 years, now <3 Idk what anime to check out next though so I'm happily accepting recommendations!

I also have started watching the Pirates of the C.aribbean movies! Only seen the first one so far-afksnfgjd My favorite part is pointing at the screen during some points and going "OMG JUST LIKE K.INGDOM H.EARTS-"

In terms of games, I've been replaying F.ire E.mblem 3 H.ouses! And also Finished F.ire E.mblem the B.lazing B.lade! L.ucius was my top unit <3 ily pretty blond guys! And in the middle of playing S.acred S.tones

And also playing Y.akuza 0 for the first time! ...though I haven't made it very far in. And lastly I started D.ragon A.ge Origins! I don't got much to say on that one since I'm also not very far in-

I'm sorry for sending you so much Y.akuza stuff (no i'm not lmfao) But it'd go a little something like as demonstrated in the gif. Mostly because I've headcanoned that Sephiroth is more than just magics and swords thanks to me discovering Ehrgeiz. I forreal pictured that maybe a few times in the past that he's been placed in situations where his weapon was not accessible and was not an option for him, or times well he went through moments where his elemental magics just wouldn't respond to him when he was in a rut. In other words, he's highly skilled in hand to hand combat it's just been so few times he's been forced to use it. Usually, he won't demonstrate it unless it's absolutely necessary and that he has to. The last time he's had to put it to use was his later teenage years. So a small, and probably useless headcanon I've shared.
