something about dean doing his best to communicate with others via food and drink. mary comes back and he’s instantly giving her chili lime jerky and other weird gas station snacks like a little kid showing off cool toys. pilot dean constantly checking if sam wants breakfast or diner food, fumbling to reconnect with his little brother after years without contact. bonding with that girl over their love for a specific brand of energy drink. and even when things are rough between him and jack, he still bakes a homemade birthday cake so they can celebrate. all of this is to say there should have been 18 gajillion scenes of dean shoving random food items in castiel’s hands and begging for him to taste stuff. he has a little notebook for new ideas. cas nibbles on a slice of pepperoni pizza and then shakes his head while dean sighs and crosses it off the list. this goes on in the background across multiple seasons btw
