It only takes 8.2 seconds to fall for someone.

Jeonghan is way much more than a simple classmate, you know it. It began when he used to save your ass over and over again back in high school, since he was your seatmate. Not only he let you borrow his homework when you hadn't done them, but also became your counsellor when you were going through a rough time with your friends or couple. Somehow, he became something more than a classmate, but less than a friend since you never saw each other outside high school. You always told him how much you owed him because of his constant support, but he always said it was nothing, that he would reclaim his reward in a future, even though both of you knew that he was way too good to do that.

Once high school was over, you knew that in spite of living in Seoul, it would be hard to see each other, so you said goodbye after giving him your phone number.

“Remember, I owe you a lot Jeonghan, call me if you need a favour."Those were the last words you told him.

After a year of not knowing anything about him, the first thing that crosses your mind when you see his name through the screen is that the moment you thought that would never come is here, and that he may be going through something serious.

"Jeonghan?” You begin, your voice low since you’re still shocked by the sudden call.

“Hi Y/N, how's it going?” His voice remains as soothing as the first day.

“I’m good! What about you?”

“Well… I’m still alive and it’s all that matters.” You both laugh. “Y/N, I know it’s not nice to ask after not contacting you for a year, seriously, but I need a huge favour and you're the only one I could think of.”

When somebody knocks on your door three times, the first thing you do is to grab a bat which belonged to your older sister. Then, you open the door.

You look at him terrified, thinking that you don’t trust Jeonghan anymore, and definitely not the boy in front of you.

“I know this is weird, so I’ll explain.” He takes a seat on your couch, patting the spot beside him. You just decide to sit on the other couch, as far as possible from him. “Fine, I’m a trainee, under… Well, It’s not very known, you don’t need to know the name.”

“Then what the hell does Jeonghan has to do with this? And why are you here?”

“Jeonghan is a trainee under that company too.” He comments, surprised that you don’t know about that. “And I’m here to begin a strike against my managers and my CEO.”

“So I’m keeping a criminal in my house, great, that’s great, that’s awesome. Now answer me, whose head I hit with this bat, yours or mine?”

The next day, when your alarm sound, you don’t immediately wake up, you just sit on your bed staring at the wall, wondering if that Johnny thing was real.

You snap back to reality when you hear something coming from your kitchen.

Yes, it was very real.

“Good morning y/n.” He says, as he put some waffles on a plate. “This is for you! You have to go to the grocery store though.”

You are taken aback, out of all the things you had expected to find, this wasn’t one of them.

“You have to go to college, right?” He asks, eating what is inside is plate.

“And how does Jeonghan know about that?”

“It’s called common sense, y/n.”

[17:00] Wednesday, day 1

You don’t know a lot of things about Johnny, you are actually too afraid to ask. However, this type of awkward silences makes you almost ask him something.

Almost.

You are on your right, isn’t it? But you aren’t sure of how you should begin the conversation. Luckily for you, he seems to notice you anxiousness.

“If you want to ask, just do it, I can’t blame you for it, can I?” You aren’t sure of what’s his facial expression like since you don’t want to look at him, but his voice sounds soft, almost cautious.

“Y-you said that you were running a strike, right?” He nods, so you continue. “But if you’re a trainee and do these type of things you can get fired.”

“I’m well aware of that, yes.”

“Then… Why?”

“I had to take the risk. I’m sure that to them I’m being careless and just looking for attention, but someone had to do it. They can’t treat us like shit and expect us to keep working hard.”

“And you think this will work?”

“I’m a hundred percent sure it won’t, I’ll probably be kicked out, but I like to think they can’t lose their most prepared trainee and future leader of their new boy group.”

The way he talks, the way his expression seems more serious and mature than when you first saw him, the way he seems worried about something when you simply assumed that he was careless.

Those are the things that make your cheeks feel warm when you realise about them.

“What about dating though?” You ask, innocently to change the subject.

“Oh y/n, I didn’t think you cared about that.” He teases as he winks at you.

“It’s- I mean I- I heard that- It’s not what I mean, let me ask something else.”

“I’m just joking Y/N.” He smiles, trying to calm you down. “We’re not allowed to have anything that involves a relationship or similar to that, if you know what I mean.”

You nod and stay quiet.

“So y/n, tell me, did you finally go grocery shopping?”

“Johnny what the hell.”

[7:30 a.m] Thursday, day 2

In spite of knowing Johnny for such a short time, you actually feel comfortable with him. Some people would call it attraction, but you are sure that it would only be one sided and that he just has a natural flirty personality.

“Do you really have to go to college today?” Johnny asks you as he pouts.

“Why are you so sad?” You smile and take a sip of your coffee cup.

“I get bored when I’m here on my own, I can’t talk to anyone and I’m afraid of touching something because I may break it.”

“That’s ridiculous Johnny.”

“I know, but you’re the only one I can spend some time with.”

You don’t want to say that you spend the whole day with him watching TV shows and movies. If anyone asks, you’d say you just felt sick.

[22:00 p.m] Thursday, day 2.

“Uno.” He says, ignoring your puppy face.

“No! Why would you do this to me?” You complain.

“Okay, let’s play another one, I promise this time I’ll let you win.”

“Now I’m tired of playing, let’s do something else.”

“Oh, is the baby mad?” He asks, pinching your cheeks. You turn your face so he won’t notice the blush on your cheeks, but it’s no use, he does it anyways.

“You’re blushing? Aw that’s cute.” If only you had turned your head back and wouldn’t have stood up to leave, you would have seen his flustered face.

“What do we do now?” You ask from the kitchen.

“We should have dinner though”

“So late? No way.” He sighs and looks at the television, thinking. “And there’s no way I’m watching TV again, I’ve had enough for today and I have some homework to do today since I didn’t do any.”

“Come on! Let’s enjoy for today! Tomorrow’s my last day here.”

“Fine, but I’m not watching more television.”

[0:00 p.m] Friday, day 3

“The things I do for you.” You sigh as you cover your body with a blanket.

Johnny just giggles and changes the channel.

“Let’s look for a good film, again.”

“Don’t you get tired of watching television?”

“Shut up I’m enjoying.”

That somehow makes you feel sad, how much does he has to handle at the same time? And how brave can you be to risk it all, only to have a break and begin a strike?

Your heart begins to beat faster once again, just like all the times you get close to him and you sigh.

“You good there?” He asks.

You don’t know when you began to feel so close to him to even joke about things, after all you’ve known him for like a day and yet there you are.

“What will happen to you once you go back?” You ask out of the blue.

“I don’t know, I really don’t know.” He says, his typical smile still in his face.

“Aren’t you afraid?”

“Afraid? God, I’m terrified.” He turns his head so he isn’t looking at you.

Your eyes make him feel like an opened book.

“Do you regret the strike, then?”

“Not a single second of it.”

And it happens so fast. You don’t know who got close to who, who crashed their lips against who or which one of you is thinking about the consequences.

Neither of you apparently.

But your lips meet. Sweet, innocently, nothing rushed or forced. Just as if it just had to happen.

[7:30 a.m] Friday, day 3.

Saying that you are shocked about what happened last night wouldn’t describe what you are actually feel.

“How the hell did that happen.” You think to yourself.

It’s not as if it was something awful, it was actually totally the opposite, and that’s what worries you. After all, he’s not a person you are used to see or you know completely, what the hell is happening?

But that’s not the thing you’re embarrassed about. It’s actually the fact that he was the one to stop the innocent kiss as he apologized. It’s the fact that once you realised what had happened, you had to run to your room since you weren’t able to even look at him.

It’s a mistake after all.

It’s more that confirmed when you wake up and Johnny isn’t there to cook breakfast.

[22:45] Friday, day 3.

You’ve been ignoring him all day. In fact, after coming back from college, you ate in your house at the same time as him, and the mood was so awkward, that you left to the library. You couldn’t stand it.

You’re back home right at 22:45.

When you come in, he’s sitting in the couch, playing with his phone.

“You’re back?”

“Yeah, finally.” You joke to make it less awkward.

“That’s good.”

You put your bag on the floor next to the couch, where you always leave it, and when you are about to make the way to your room to finally sleep, you hear some footsteps behind you. You’re about to ask when he pins you to the wall, not being harsh.

“I’m sorry, about last night. I didn’t wanted to end that like this.” He whispers, his face only a few centimetres away from yours.

“I get it, it was stupid, I’ll forget about that.”

“No, what I mean is that I really wanted to keep it going.” His face gets a little closer.

“Is that so?” You raise your eyebrows.

“I wanted to leave this afternoon, but I couldn’t, not without saying goodbye.” His words break your heart a little. “You know I shouldn’t be doing this, right?” He asks, his breath now mixing with yours.

“Then what are you going to do?”

“Not to overthink, like I did last night.”

He kisses you.

And then you kiss him.

Again.

And again.

[10:30] Saturday, last day.

You shouldn’t have done that, both of you know it. But in that moment, nothing mattered. All it mattered was the feeling, the way you felt so comfortable with him.

“I should probably get up.” He whispers from his side of bed.

“You probably should, yeah.” You try to laugh even though you knew what he really meant. “Does Jeonghan knows that you’re still here?”

“Yes, I talked to him last night after watching the film.”

“And…? Is it safe to come back?”

He shakes his head and chuckles.

“Absolutely not.”

“Then what are you going to do?” You ask, worried.

“I don’t want to take them for granted, so two things can happen. In the best of the cases I could lose my position as the leader, or probably won’t debut sometime close. In the worst of the cases, I could be directly kicked out.”

“Good luck, I guess. But mostly take care okay?”

“I will.” He chuckles.

After having breakfast, he picks up his bag, which was filled with all of his things -that weren’t a lot- and sighs while he looks around himself.

“It’s been good.” He mutters.

“Yes, it has.” You answer back.

You know you have to tell him something else, something witty so this isn’t that bitter, but you can’t.

Johnny heads to the door and you follow him. You open the door and he crosses it, but doesn’t leave immediately. He just looks at you.

“Thank you, you shouldn’t have done this for me, but I’m glad you did.” He says, sincerely.

“Actually, Jeonghan tricked me into this, but I’m glad he did, I could help after all, right?” You pause for a second. “Good luck Johnny, you deserve it. I hope I can see you on the TV as soon as possible.”

“Thank you.” He takes a bow. “Goodbye, Y/n.”

“Goodbye, Johnny.”

And then he turns around and begins to walk away, so you close the door, finishing what happened these last few days.

After all yes, you can fall for a person when you least expect it, and it only takes 8.2 seconds.

Philinda & Timelines

I wrote most of this in a more disorganized form a few months back, but now I’ve fleshed it out and done some more calculations. I hope it might be interesting to fans of these characters or useful for those who write fic for them. I personally like to have some dates and characterization timelines to look at when writing fics set in a “real world” type show, so I generally keep some notes for myself in word docs. Here I just kinda dove into it. 

I don’t go into plot timeline details here because I just don’t care. Marvel does an incredibly shit job of taking travel time and medical times into account. They can try and convince me something happened in two weeks, but I’m always going to ignore it. This uses info from the show itself and from an online date calculator. I am mostly not pulling from the various wikis. The wikis are great for trivia, but they are massively self-contradictory due to tie-in comics, stuff said in various interviews, etc. It’s Marvel. [Edited 03/20 to finally include workable theories for Captain Marvel]

Phil Coulson was born July 8, 1964. This makes his sun sign Cancer and his Chinese zodiac year the Dragon. He was an active and outgoing kid who wished he had a brother to play with. His dad died or was killed in 1973. Coulson was only 9 years old. They’d either finished restoring Lola together earlier that year or in 1972. It is implied in season 2 that he and his mother moved after the death, either to a different part of the town or somewhere else entirely as he did not attend the high school his father worked at. Coulson finished high school and went to college to study history, both because that was the subject his dad taught and because he was always a giant history nerd. He worked as a lifeguard as a teenager. We do not know anything about his mother’s work or their relationship when she was alive. A research project into the S.S.R. brought him to Shield’s attention. He was recruited from college by Nick Fury, an agent at the time.

Melinda May was born November 20, 1965 (a reference from the scanned back-page of a tie-in comic I cannot find again - Fury’s Secret Files from somewhere I think). Obviously, they’ve just used Ming’s birthday with a different year to parallel the actors. Her birth location is always listed as classified, so it’s possible her mother was involved with something for the CIA at the time. Her sun sign is Scorpio and her birth year in the Chinese zodiac is the snake. May always picked up new physical activities quickly according to her dad in S3. She started ice-skating at 7 and quickly began skating competitively. At 12 she switched from skating to martial arts. May has a trusting relationship with both her parents. We don’t know anything about when they seemingly separated, decided to live separately for Reasons, or got divorced. There is around a year unaccounted for between when she most likely graduated high school and when she likely joined Shield. She might have joined against her mother’s wishes. We know nothing of how she was recruited.

Star Wars Episode IV came out in May of 1977. Coulson was 12 and May was 10. This is totally relevant information.

These dates mean May is just shy of two years younger than Coulson. More precisely, Coulson is 17 months older.

We know they were at the Academy together (Comms and Ops shared some classes and electives) and graduated at the same time because of 2x4. Comms and Ops would have been in different facilities, though reasonably close together for logistics purposes. There would be a significant amount of overlap for field agent hopefulls. They probably wouldn’t have seen each other every day. They probably usually saw each other multiple times a week, depending on their classes.

They also shared classes with future Agent Blake and Agent Garrett. (It’s important to remember that Agents Hand, Hartley, Sitwell, and Hill are younger in the MCU and did not attend the Academy until the previous four Agents had already left.)

From common practices in American educational law, Coulson very likely started school (kindergarten) in the fall of 1969 (at 5). He would have graduated in 1982 and started college that fall. It is also possible he started school in 1970 (at 6) and graduated in 1983. May likely started school in 1971 at 5 and would have graduated in spring 1984 at 18 or she possibly started school at 1970 at 4 and graduated in 1983 at 17. (At the time, starting kindergarten at 4 years old was common if you would be turning 5 soon. Start ages were lower in the 70s.)

Here’s where a couple different things could have happened.

I’m going to move forward here with the (imo) more likely graduation ages for them both. These aren’t official. These events could have happened a year earlier or a year later, but anything more than that would be very unlikely.

It’s spring 1984. Coulson just finished his sophomore year of college and is about to turn 21. May just graduated high school at 18.

We know the Shield Academies at this point were legitimate in the eyes of the U.S. Government, though mostly under the radar. There was enough of a structured curriculum schedule in place we know they had a yearbook (as of season 5). Taking on recruits under 18 generally requires parental permission, as Shield is still paramilitary.

Option 1 - Coulson’s research has already drawn Shield’s attention and he is approached by Fury. Someone recruits May or she becomes aware of Shield some other way. They start at the Shield academies fall of 1984. They are 21 and 18 when they join.

Option 2 - Coulson continues through his junior year of college. His research into the S.S.R. draws Shield’s attention. Fury goes to recruit him. May spends a year doing any number of things. Her mother might want her to pursue the CIA. May picks Shield. They start at the Shield academies fall of 1985. They are 22 and 19 when they join.

Option 3 - Coulson is about to finish college when he draws the attention of Shield and is recruited by Fury. May is an unknown for two years. They start at the Shield academies fall of 1986. They are 23 and 20 when they join.

Star Trek IV (the whale movie) came out in November of 1986. Coulson was 23 and May was just 21. This is also totally relevant information.

Let’s say MCU Shield’s training program lasted 3-4 years. (Fitzsimmons strongly implied in season 1 Seeds that Scitech usually took about four years.)

The absolute earliest (3 years) May and Coulson (and Garrett) should have been in the field was 1987/1988/1989. Their most likely brand-new Level 1 Agent year was 1988/1989/1990.

Coulson and May were most likely Level 1 agents at 23 and 21/24 and 22/25 and 23.  

The Sausalito mission mentioned in episode 2x4 probably happened later in 1988/1989/1990.

John Garrett, who they were trained with, was injured in Sarajevo and became a Project Deathlok subject in 1990. He probably was only Level 2. He’d only been an agent 2-3 years maximum.

We knew from season 1 that Coulson’s mom Julie was long gone. The wiki puts her death as September 22, 1992, exactly 19 years after her husband’s death. Coulson was only 28.  

This is where I take issue with one of the semi-official dates. Big issue.

We got a flashback to a younger Agent Coulson and Agent May in season 4. May was a Level 3 specialist and Coulson was recently Level 4. We know they knew each other pretty well at that point, enjoyed each other’s company, and also frequently went weeks or months without seeing each other. They worked on missions separately and together and kept track of each other through company gossip. It’s at this point in their lives that a little, badly-kept-secret, mutual crush is going on that is ultimately not pursued for multiple reasons. They stay close friends and work partners for the next 10-15 ish years.

Parts of the wiki claims this flashback was to 2003. However, this is basically a retcon and in my oh so professional and classy-sounding opinion is just dumber than fuck. (Also, that date was never used in the episode.)

The absolute latest Coulson and May started as field agents was 1990. So *13 years* later they’re still Level 3? I don’t think so. Level 1 is your entry level. Anyone who is performing well is only going to stay there 1-3 years max. Level 2 is your no longer a noob level. If you’re doing great work let’s say people stay there 2-5 years. Agents would stay longer in Levels 3/4/5 than Levels 1 and 2.

Let’s be generous and give them 5 years at Levels 1 and 2. It could have easily been 4, maybe even 3 depending on how fast they got their groove after the whole “in the bay for five hours” thing. Coulson and May logically made it to Level 3 anywhere around 1993/1994/1995.

The Captain Marvel movie makes dubious use of existing aos canon, but if we use the perspective that Phil is a brand new Level 3 field agent instead of one fresh out of the Academy (which is completely incompatible with aos’s timeline) than we can say Phil and May were new level 3 agents sometime early in 1995. 

A sensible placement for the Russian 0-8-4 mission would be anywhere from late 1995-1997. With Phil having recently made Level 4 (strongly implied the the flashback), I would suggest 1996 or 1997 as the most likely placement. 

From the tie-in comics, MCU Agent Barton is recruited by Nick Fury around this same time, Agent Romanoff “recruited’ by him a few years later.

By 2003, both Coulson and May should have advanced a Level again and be taking on more complex missions. Strike Team Delta is part of Shield now. Fury is Director.

The Bahrain mission happened in 2008. Coulson was likely a Level 6 operative and May would be Level 5. Coulson took a lot of orders from a lot of people in episode 2x17. I highly doubt he was Level 7 at that point. The agent in charge of the operation, Agent Hart, was one of the ones Katya took over. Big Shield headquarters forbade Coulson from sending May into the building. He gave her the clear to go anyway and covered for her. May was 42. Coulson was 43 or 44.

May worked on administration for mostly Level 3s in the basement of the Triskelion for the next 4.5 years. This does not mean she became a lower ranking agent; you would likely want a higher-than-3 managing your level 3s.

Coulson is sent to make contact with Tony Stark later in 2008. At some point he advances to Level 7 then 8. Given Shield viewed the Bahrain rescue as a legendary success, not knowing how it unfolded, it is reasonable to think Coulson was promoted to 7 shortly afterwards. 

Coulson died on the Helicarrier on May 4th, 2012 during The Incident. He was 47. May was 46 when she found out he was dead.

When we met them in season 1, Coulson was recently 49 (technically…) and May was 47. May is a Level 7 agent and Coulson remains Level 8.

After season 5 they are on a beach in Tahiti. Coulson is 54 and May is 52. They’ve known each other 34/33/32 years.

Now, I’ve tried to structure this whole thing in a way that should you want to change their school-dates and use any of the three options you should be able to go through and add/subtract from the existing numbers pretty easily. So I hope that’s useful if you’ve been trying to math and write fic or if there’s just been general confusion.

I greatly prefer to write from the Option 2 set, with adjustments made for Captain Marvel. That just makes the most sense to me as far as events we know about from season one and the other life events for these characters. So if you’ve read any of my stuff, this is generally where I’m coming from.

I really hope this was useful and interesting. I spent far too much time on it.

My favorite lyrics from New School Rap Artists.

So I run a radio show at my college with one a co-host named C-Bo called “Chillin with C-Bo”. I started out as a guest on the show, but I soon became something more. Now C-Bo is leaving the country for a while, so it’s up to me to run the show.

But enough self promotion! 

One thing I promised C-Bo was that I would stick to his style of music for the show to maintain consistency, as well as sprinkle a little bit of my own flavor. 

The problem, however, was I wasn’t into the type of music C-Bo was into; New School Rap. I have been hesitant to dive into this genre because I was afraid that it would ruin the flavor of rap and hip hop I had acquired from before 2010 (you know, your basic nostalgia).

But As I began to really listen to artists like Chance the Rapper, Logic, Childish Gambino, and Kendrick Lamar, I fell in love. But not with the beat, or the tempo, or even the voices/flow of the artists. I fell in love with the lyrics. What I love most about rap and hip-hop is that it gives artists a chance to formulate great lyrical content. Other genres of music have become so cheesy and typical with the words, that it gets to the point where they all sound the same.

But in rap, each song is so different.

Nas wrote a song from the point of view of a gun.

Eminem wrote a song about a crazed fan that lost his mind trying to get his attention.

NWA created songs that helped bring a spark into the souls of Compton residents, making them feel like they aren’t all the criminals and gang-bangers everyone sees them as.

Hell, Mackelmore wrote a song about how to shop at a thrift shop!

Today’s modern day rap has taken a bit of a blow in terms of lyrical content, however.

With so many songs about money, drinking, smoking, making money, cursing out the police, and gang banging,  along with the rise of Mumble rap and songs that are just repeating the same 3 lines over and over to a loud beat, it’s hard to find good, thought provoking lyrics in today’s rap.

Luckily, I found a few.

I have no space in me for sadness. Whatever gives me sadness, I have to ignore. In essence, I will let our friendship go. I think the time has come and you are due to go, and hopefully grow. Would you raise your children like your parents raised you? Not at all. I would involve myself more in their lives. I would push my children to do things that they could be passionate about (art, dance, music, activities, anything of interest, anything!). I would guide them with example, not with empty words. Most of all, I would be there and they would be comfortable to share their feelings with me.

What does your middle name mean? Month of flowers, and spring. Also just because I was born on it. 

Will you be over 21 in 3 years? Yes, good Lord. I hate to think of it. 

What is your favourite perfume/candle fragrance? I love perfume and I have so much that I love. But I like to think of Byredo’s Gypsy Water as the one perfume that I would never get tired of wearing. As for candle fragrance, it varies a lot. The last one I really loved was Autumn Glow by Yankee Candle.

Do you blush easily? When something I find embarrassing/I’m shy of happens without warning. Or when my boyfriend does something that makes me blush, he’s good at it.

Are you an artist/writer? I write poetry from time to time, I am not prolific enough or confident enough to call myself a writer.

Do you play an instrument? Guitar.

Do you like to dance? I am an awful dancer. I only dance in clubs when I’m drunk. Otherwise, I don’t even have the confidence to. When I was young, I was definitely interested in being a ballerina, but it was never something that actually materialised or my parents supported. Fast forward to 20 years later, I enjoy watching Sergei Polunin leaping instead of doing the leaping myself.

What trait do you feel you lack that you wish you possessed? Some sort of fiery, passionate, inane urge to create.

Do you find it difficult to stay invested in online relationships? It’s not difficult when you’re already in love. I’m currently in a long distance relationship but it was one that was built in real-life before it became online due to the distance that separated us. To me, whether near or far, if i’ve got feelings, I’ve got feelings. Staying committed and loyal comes naturally to me. If you’ve got me, you’ve got me for good. If you don’t, you really don’t.

Do you have any stickers on your laptop? I have a glossier sticker on my MacBook air because I got it from a purchase and I thought it was pretty.

Is there someone who seems to only reach out to you when they want something from you? Yes! Frustrates me so much. An old best friend from when I was like, 5. It seems this person only talks to me when they need my advice on something. It’s nice that they trust me and they value my opinion, but I don’t want to be anybody’s therapist. She only shows up when she needs me. It’s unfair so I’ve decided to let her go and let the friendship go quietly and without drama. If you’re not there for good and bad times, I don’t have the energy to talk to you.

What is something you can only understand if you’ve experienced it first hand? The feeling of losing someone important/beloved, and emptiness.

In terms of a wedding, put these things in order from what would be MOST important to be perfect, to LEAST important… Engagement ring, dress, hair, venue, ceremony, food, pictures, decorations, honeymoon. To me, the wedding itself is hugely unimportant and at times can be terribly impractical and a waste of resources. I would much rather spend it on a wonderful honeymoon. I value the relationship and marriage itself more than the wedding and materialistic things that come with it. Although, if money was not a problem, then it would be in this order: honeymoon, engagement ring (I would be wearing it for a long time!), pictures for memories, ceremony, decoration, venue, dress, hair, food (I feel like this would be the least of concerns, we eat food regardless anyway).

Is there a quote that’s helped you through hard times or really stuck with you? What is it? In the Iliad, when Odysseus was alone and on enemy territory: “Be strong, saith my heart; I am a soldier; I have seen worse sights than this.”

What’s something practical and useful “real world” things that should be taught in high school aside from the basics like English, math, science, etc.? Employment related things. Practical things like mortgages. Those kind of “real world” things that I realised upon graduating from university that I barely knew about.

What perfume of yours does your SO love on you? I’m pretty sure he used to love it the most when i would wear my White Musk (Body Shop) perfume which is actually probably the cheapest perfume I own. On the high end side, he likes Gypsy Water (Byredo) too!

Do you prefer your guy to wear cologne or not? If I like the cologne, why not. I’m a sucker for that one Tom Ford cologne that I like haha. If not, I usually like when my boyfriend uses his aftershave because I think it smells really good and I always end up kissing his face a lot when he puts it on. Later on, he admitted that he was only using it because he figured out that I loved it and in truth it actually stung his face to use it, oops.

What was the turning point that led you to decide for or against having children? I never really wanted children, but then again I have never fallen in love before. In fact, I actually usually dislike and get irritated by kids. But now that I’m with someone I love, I feel like it’s one of those things that I would love to do just because I would love to create a human being with the person I love the most. It would be the most precious thing I would ever be capable of doing. That’s really something. When we do decide to have one, I would make it right by him/her.

What would your reaction be if your SO wanted the opposite type of wedding than you did? A big and crucial part of successful relationships I think is compromise.

What kind if body type do you find attractive and unattractive (for your preferred sex)? I personally would feel attracted to someone who looks healthy. It’s not necessarily ripped or jacked or whatever, but just not unhealthily fat and unhealthily thin. All of it has to do with just staying healthy and balanced, good health.

How do you feel about strangers approaching you with compliments? It all depends on the approach. A compliment can be jarring if it’s delivered wrong i.e. in a creepy way. That would barely be a compliment to me, but more like a suggestive and creepy remark like cat calling. I wouldn’t find that flattering. A good, harmless compliment like “I love your dress!” is nice to hear. I don’t want a cat-caller whistling.

Do you consider it cheating if your SO goes to a Strip Club and then doesn’t tell you? I think so. What’s the purpose of going to Strip Clubs but not to look at and fantasise and even receive “services” from other women? I don't think it’s proper especially without consent of the other party, which I will never give. I’m possessive and jealous in my own ways, but I think this one is justified.

Would you be more offended if your man cheated on you with a guy or a girl? Regardless, I would be highly offended and betrayed. Both would be on another level which I would rather not speak about.
