my ACEN tip gimmick has been fulfilled, aaand i got a little carried away with it. Nott the Brave Level 11 Cosplay

We did it! We finished this just in time for Nic to cosplay Nott the Brave from Campaign 2 of Critical Role for the Friday Critter Meet Up at NYCC 2024.

We took a lot of inspiration for this look from Nott's level 10 artwork by Ariana Orner, which you can see in the side by side. However, we added a few extra details from a little later, primarily the Charisma boost tattoo around the eyes that Nott got just before they leveled up to 11.

We made basically all of this ourselves, so we'll be posting deep dives into some of the details as well as more NYCC photos (especially from the meetup) soon!

You know what irks me the most about the mha ending. (Sorry I'm still on it.)

Like the early parts of the manga, there were so many grown up hero AUs in fandom (like storylines that took place when they're adults and heroes) and they're fun! A little silly!

And then we had the war arc and cities are being destroyed and everything's torn up and for over a hundred chapters, it's been oh huh I guess every AU like that will just be canon divergence lmao

And then Horikoshi basically wipes the slate clean so I guess all those AUs could technically canon compliant. There's not even much in the way of lasting physical damage! Because it's dealt with???? Immediately???? Within months?????

Which is fine! Nothing wrong with it! The AUs are fun! But, it just irks me that you could throw out half the manga because it didn't matter. Nothing majorly changed. Silly adult hero AUs for everyone I guess because the League may as well have been 2 bit villains for all the effect they had at large was. Idk. Maybe I'm bitter? Maybe my brain still trying to process the ending and the change in how AUs relate to canon? I guess - what was all the constant sprinkling in of "society has let people down" that we see from chapter 1? It meant nothing? I guess????? I mean A WAR HAPPENED. But whatever I guess heehee wasn't that soooooo silly???? That people's take on early story can be the same as post story?????

Mmmmm plans for today go to therapy, go to library so I can return the things I’ve borrowed and chill for a while there and work on wind blown lilies, pick up a couple things from the grocery store on the way home, then pack up the rest of my things except for kitchen bare essentials, enough clothes for the week, and my prints

#think I’m gonna leave all the prints up until like the night before I move #because there’s just so many of them and no good way to move them #so I’m just going to keep them in a giant pile and oh so carefully just move the pile #but I don’t wanna leave the pile laying around anywhere to get fucked up #tbh I don’t even have that much left to pack #just like some kitchen stuff shoes mannequins from sewing and cosplay my stuffed animals #and err yeah that’s it #anything else left over are things that can’t like get packed and just have to moved #like my prints and also my swords and some of my big art pads and canvases and such #kaz rambles
