Me listening to all three Sleep Token albums for the first time:

Take Me Back To Eden

Chokehold - by far the most lore-oriented song I've heard so far?? lyrically this is just the band's mission statement and it's SO good

The Summoning - THE iconic song :P I had this thought while vibing to it again, the title is SO apt because this is the song that essentially summoned LEGIONS of fans 8D

Granite - this song has me ALL kinds of fucked up?? this was the point where specific lyrics started to have me SCREAMING, like, "you gave me nothing whatsoever but a reason to leave" HELLO??? not to mention "we'd rather be six feet under than be lonely" THAT HITS

Aqua Regia - MMMM THE VIBES THEY ARE IMMACULATE I believe the title translates to something along the lines of "ocean queen" but don't quote me on that XD I genuinely cannot cite just one lyric that makes me feral IT'S THE WHOLE SONG

Vore - AS A MONSTERFUCKER I AM FEELING VERY SEEN IN THE CLUB RIGHT NOW. TIS IS A MONSTERFUCKER ANTHEM. VESSEL. VESSEL P L E A S E.

Ascensionism - I was told this song would make me cry I WASN'T PREPARED FOR HOW REAL THAT WOULD BE. "Make it real, cause anything's better than the way I feel right now" HOOOOOOOO. This entire song is POETRY.

Are You Really Okay? - I....have A LOT of feelings about this song. Holy shit. From Vessel's lips straight to the ears of my soul. God DAMN.

The Apparition - and now we have the self-shipping anthem :P VESSEL XD "Why are you never real" !!!!!! "Just let me go or take me with you" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DYWTYLM - lowkey I always love when artists genuinely abbreviate song titles like this it's really cute and stylish :P THIS SONG IS S O CUTE??? OH MY GOD the sheer amount of genres this band covers is AMAZING; plus this is another song where the lyrics are DEEPLY SAD but the beat though :P

Rain - from what I'm aware of this might be an underrated song??? instant fave from me 8D IT'S SO ROMANTIC!!! "the vicious cycle was over the moment you smiled at me" I'M SO!!!!!! SOFT!!!!!!

Euclid - I have deduced that ST is the masters of ending an album with the most unexpectedly BEAUTIFUL song OH MY GOD. All the nods of their previous songs?? So much TECHNOLOGICAL imagery all across this album too tbh??? "So if your wings won't find you heaven I'll bring it down like an ancient bygone" SCREAMING!!!! and of course "the night belongs to you" I AM EATING THIS

it is at this point I begin to swiftly realize I am listening to this in reverse order which makes a lot of things hit different but REGARDLESS :P WE PRESS ON

Atlantic - not only is this song ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL but the lyrics are just.....w o o f. it hits harder the more you think about it.

Hypnosis - I can't get over how this song is ACTUALLY hypnotizing to listen to :P

Mine - ONCE AGAIN TRACK THREE IS WHERE I START CLIMBING THE WALLS XD both of the other albums have direct lyrical connections to this song, and it's also just HOOOOO INTENSE IN THE BEST KIND OF WAY 8D plus the "wasted years" lyric got me thinking about Phantom of the Opera which y'know feels appropriate :P

Like That - this song reminds me of Granite with just how VISCERAL the feelings are when connected to a toxic relationship??

Distraction - at this point I am all but tearing my hair out over how ROMANTIC this is and how it can perfectly encapsulate such a simple idea and make it absolutely HEART-ACHING?????

High Water - I am OBSESSED with this song lyrically, just "it seems my hell is your high water" that's SO!!!! GOOD!!!! but also just the absolute gutpunches all throughout this song; "you are still a perfect reminder of what all these scars on my arms are for" !!!! "I know you still bear the weight of your own existence and you'll never bear the weight of two" I'M SO?!?!?!?

Missing Limbs - I legit GASPED when the soft guitar started???? and the last verse just absolutely destroyed me HOO. The whole song has Bon Iver vibes but better tbh

Dark Signs - ANOTHER INSTANT FAVE 8D the fucking bassline!! EVERY SINGLE LYRIC HOOOOOO JUST THE PICTURE IT PAINTS!!! also "tear off my arms" sounds like a direct parallel to Missing Limbs don't mind me!!!

*Sigh*... I write regularly write for creeps like Freddy Krueger and Offenderman... and am one of the few tumblrs that write for Sheriff Hoyt romantically... and yet Kurt and Ram are my real guilty pleasure characters.

Having the kind of relationship that no one else understands at all. Like, you have nothing in commen except commen history and your feelings for each other (Which are, on the other hand, totally clear to everyone) but when you're together you're always laughing and being affectionate.

Being in an on and off relationship throughout middle school and highschool- but never and I repeat; Never, is anyone permitted to mess with you at all. Because Ram always considers you his, even when you arent together.

So yeah, you always have 2 (Ram, and Kurt) large football star bodyguards at your disposal.

Being very playful together.

SOOOOoooooo much PDA. Including: Making out in the hallways and at school events like football games (You dont care who sees), sitting in his lap or at least squished close to his side at lunch, him throwing you over his shoulder to carry you places, him giving you piggy back rides, him picking you up and twirling you around, him just standing behind you with his arms around your waist and his chin rested on your shoulder when he's bored (With everything but you), his arm being over your shoulders as you walk together, you wiping peanut butter on his nose to get a rise out of him and then running away so he'll chase you, you peppering his face with kisses to make him laugh, etc.

Having a turbulent relationship. Because while, when all is well you two are like peanut butter and jelly and seem like the perfect highschool sweethearts, when you arent it's because Ram has gotten really jealous over something and called you a terrible name (Skank, whore, slut, bitch- any of those) or you understandably got irritated by his bullying and/or being a perverted, sexist asshole and you have huge, blow out fights in the middle of school and by the end of the period the whole student body knows about it.

You give him the silent treatment and the cold shoulder after those (If you didnt break up, that is) and he sends Kurt to give you messages.

When you make up its because he sincerely apologises although he doesn't 100% understand what he did wrong which becomes part of the next fight.

As you've been together so very long, he is basically part of your fucking family. He's so familiar and casual with your parent/s and/or sibling/s. They love him so much that, whether you're with him at the time or not, they allow him into the house and your bedroom with a cup of tea and snacks. (Its the 'American dream' popular-boy / football-star thing.)

So yeah, sometimes when you're mad at him or he wants to get back together (Which generally you want to do, to. You honestly have the same biological timer. Its like, 3 weeks pass by of being broken up and then ding ding ding! You both get the feelings its time to get back together and start sharing grins in the hallway and talking to your friends about eachother) you'll just find him waiting for you in your room when you come home.

Hanging out a looooooot with Kurt. Movie nights at your place, hanging out at the mall together on weekends sneaking out to see them at the football field at night time, etc. When you're sad, they'll both turn up wherever you are to cheer you up, too! Goofballs.

This does not mean there arent times where Ram shoo's Kurt off, though, when you two want some alone time together (*Eyebrow wiggles*) because of course. I'm just saying, you're a close-knit group.

When you are alone together, not much changes from when you're around others honestly XD You're still just as playful and affectionate. You just, you know, also have sex.

When he's down, you rusk your graceful image and climb through his bedroom window to be there with him. You dont fuck, you dont even really kiss. You just climb into bed with him and he'll tuck you under his chin and close his eyes. Legit old married couple. And you two sleep- by morning, he usually feels better and refuses to let you get out of bed with him.

"Five more minutessssss, babe!" He whines, holding you against him and pressing kisses to your head. You know he'll just say that again in 5 minutes time- and over, and over, and over again.

"Oh- no. I've been caught in this trap before Ram. We have school, so we have to get up. Come on!" You push firmly at his stomach (or abs) with your fists; not that that does much as he just just groans or gathers your little wrists in one big fist to stop you (Either way he certainly doesn't even flinch). His eyes are still closed. You sigh.

Now you have two choices, you can either give in and snuggle back into him for the rest of the morning, or threaten to send an attack towards his groin and he'll literally fling himself outta bed. Like "OH LOOK AT THE TIME- Kurt's gonna be waiting for us outside. Lets go!"

There are also mornings that you wake up with him (No sad Ram the night before necessary) and are all too happy to stay there with him. You just adorably nod into his chest, eyes still closed and making the cutest half-asleep morning sound when he asks if you wanna stay here a bit longer and he happily pulls the blanket over both your heads; shielding you both from the real world for a while.

OKAY MOVING ON FROM THAT FLUFFINESS.

You are also the only person who has any sort of control over him and Kurt. Like you can take them down a few pegs with just a look.

You two do date other people when you're broken up but its clear to anyone watching that these are just nice place holders for eachother. Neither of you are ever as happy with others as you are with eachother. You're ridiculously in love, actually.

Ypu were the first one to say I Love You, and he immediately called Kurt for guidance XD

Places you've had sex (Because it is always the full monty with Ram): Both your bedrooms so so so many times, the school bathrooms, his car, Kurts car (Kurt was NOT pleased.), the back of the football field, under the bleachers during a game or pep rally (he was benched for being too violent) + under the bleachers during practise + under the bleachers when the football field is deserted, the back of the school, the faculty parking lot at school, Kurts and Heather Chandler's houses (Parties. Basically a Westerburg High party is not complete without Y/N L/N and Ram Sweeney breaking in someones bed), his parent's car, the woods, cow pasture (a picnic blanket was used), and finally some mall changing rooms.

You leave him messages on his answering machine. He listens to every one of them (Which means something because he doesnt listen to anyone elses, unless he's gotta get through them to get to yours).

Him being SUCH a jealous asshole (With everyone except Kurt).

Having Kurt "Smartest guy on the football team," Kelly be your (Occasionally, live in- yes, he has slept over with the two of you on the floor so he could break up fights) couples councellor. Often his advice is 'fuck it out' but he also comes up with oddly wise shit sometimes. Mostly he's just very exasperated though. Like, its obvious you two are gonna end up together- stop bothering me with this shit. Let me get some pussy for myself guys please-

You two getting a bit frisky on movie nights with Kurt and he throws stuff at you. He just starts bringing a pool noodle (That he drew an angry face onto) along with him and hitting y'all with it whenever he feels its necessary. Cuz I mean, on one hand, of course he's happy for his bro Ram that he's getting his dick wet, but on the other- ITS FUCKIN MOVIE NIGHT, PULL YOURSELVES TOGETHER FOR T W O S E C O N D S (Oh the irony- it does indeed escape him). He'll park his ass right in the middle of you two if you keep it up.

If he had survived, you and Ram would have broken up after graduation and spent college apart, before bumping into each other again back home as new (Improved. Especially him) people that fit together better now and ended up getting back together for good.

b. Mainly through actually living in them. Through hearing lectures, watching movies, listening to songs, reading and writing in them and speaking with other people.

e. Came as necessity and advantage. My parents send me to an austrian school to learn German when I couldn't speak it at all, when I was 10. That is one dramatic but efficient way to learn language, let me tell you XD. I had trouble understanding for a year and trouble speaking for the second, but hey here I am, writing scientific papers in it now. I had to learn English for classes but this is also a language I learned the most myself in my free time. Started as watching tv shows that I watched in original cause I couldn't wait for the subtitles. Binge watching shows really can teach you something. XD

f. Haha I do this everyday in English. Surprisingly turned out as my fave language to write in or maybe I'm just that used it by now. I read in English the most cause the ebooks are cheaper, so ofc I get the most vocab there, even though it's actually my what, fourth language. Writing in my mother language would be easier, but it also kinda feels off to write in that tounge after the years...plus I kinda started writing in English so my mom, a professional editor, couldn't read my work. I was very self-conscious as a kid and now I'm paying for it, cause the one language I'm comfortable writing in now is the one she can't edit for me.

l. English is probably my fave, cause it's me free and me time language. Reading, writing, friends, blogging, I do it all in English and I feel pretty good at it at this point. Even more assured than in German, since that's a language my brain connects to school and assignments XD and I admittedly don't have German friends to practice actual speaking with, so my level of daily German, the one with slang, dialects and shortcuts for everyday use is actually lacking for this. I'm known to write the best academic essays and have the best "high" level vocabulary, but start talking about movies and drinks and I have a hard time keeping up. XD

Thanks for the ask! I'm not currently learning any new language outside my main four (Slovak, Czech, German, English), but switching between them on dialy basis is difficult enough and I still have lots to learn, even though I'm really good and functioning in all of them. It's just really hard for a writer like me, cause I love words and I was always good with them, and learning new languages like German and English mostly through shock and intense exposure XD makes me extra conscious about making mistakes and not being able to find the right word at the exact moment. Not to mention that the more I do in one language, the more difficult the others get. After an uni class in German I feel like an ape trying to talk to my parents in my mother tounge. XD

Just fun to think about what a multilingual life is like and how many people have it like me :D Maybe I will learn Russian and Polish one day, cause my mom says for a Slav like me it would be super quick and easy, since our languages are so similar. I learned French and Latin in school, but I don't use those, so ofc they get rusty. I can get the general meaning out of French texts and I was really good at writing in it, but I don't have any speaking or hearing opportunities, which is the most usual problem when learning languages.

Like, the type of wedding, the decoration, who gives the speech, who cries the most between the two... That sort of thing XD

Atobe

Surprisingly modest, but also over the top simultaneously because he’s Atobe. But his s/o forbade him from going too overboard because it would be a pain for the staff to clean. Atobe made them promise that they can’t complain for what he has planned for their honeymoon because if he can’t go all out for the wedding then he’ll find other ways to make it up. 

Atobe doesn’t cry. He prides himself on handling his emotions well, but damn, if he didn’t get a little misty-eyed watching his s/o walk down the aisle and then hearing them say their vows. It takes him by surprise how emotional he gets, probably, and even though a single tear isn’t shed from him, he’s quieter than usual. A lot of soft touches from him on this day. 

Lots of elegant decorations, silk and white ribbons and pale gold and white and clear balloons. A literal red carpet. The best food anyone has ever eaten and of course the festivities go on for hours while people dance and sing and cry and eat and drink their fill. Slow songs, fast songs, songs that make people sing together. 

Obviously he gives the speech, and it’s so elegant and heartfelt his s/o probably begins crying halfway through. Atobe mostly lets other people talk though, because he wants the celebration to be about him and his s/o, not about him talking. 

Sanada

Has a modest wedding (god forbid he try to emulate anything that might be Atobe’s taste...) Neutral colors, pale colors, soft colors. Soothing music, a spread of food that evokes nostalgia and the future all at once because he and his s/o reminisce about their time before getting married as well as anticipate their future together. 

Sanada refuses to cry, but watching his s/o walk down the aisle makes his vision blurry and he can’t stop staring at them the entire night. While all of the planning of this wedding made him the tensest he’s ever been, the actual event makes him so soft and loving. Careful touches and stroking his s/o’s knuckles with his thumb. 

Voice wavers once through his vows, and he kisses his s/o like it’s their last kiss on earth. Impresses and disgusts a good portion of his old tennis team, but they still cheer and throw confetti and congratulate him because he looks so happy. 

Likely set outdoors during a perfect summer day. The kind of day that’s in the transition of spring and summer, clear skies and birds and trees blossoming flowers with petals that rain down on the guests when a breeze drifts through. 

Tezuka

A wedding full of friends and family, even acquaintances that he might not have thought to invite initially because he wants to share his happiness with other people. 

Smiles so much and unabashedly because his s/o looks so good and his heart has never felt lighter. Also sheds a few tears when he thinks no one is looking because he’s not made of stone even though he’s stone-faced a lot, and dances freely with his s/o. A lot of his emotion probably comes out unintentionally, but he doesn’t really feel the need to hide it because he sees how outwardly happy his s/o is. 

Hand kisses, cheek kisses, forehead kisses. Always holding his s/o’s hand when he can because he doesn’t want to be apart from them for even a second, even if he denies being super clingy. Surprisingly fastidious about taking photos because he wants to remember this night. 

The wedding goes on for the near perfect amount of time, because he wants to lay with his s/o in their bed after everything’s said and done and just be with them. Looks forward to the days after the wedding too, organizing pictures, putting aside mementos, rewatching the video of their wedding, and even listening to his friend’s commentary. 

Yukimura

A reasonably sized wedding with lots of close friends and family. He doesn’t want to put on a show for the sake of putting on a show, so the reception and the wedding will be sweet and sincere. Many colorful flower arrangements. 

Surprisingly large cake, but only because he knows Marui will have more than one or two or even three pieces. The food is all familiar and warm, aims for comfort over fancy because he doesn’t need much to be happy. Isn’t super big on alcohol but will pop a bottle of champagne or two for tradition’s sake. Gives the speech and doesn’t take up people’s time with filler. Concise and sincere and heartfelt. 

A good amount of decorations, also likely outdoors. Decorations that invite people to smile and let loose, soft colors and custom balloons and hanging lights that illuminate the venue with a perfect warm glow. Likely hires a live band and requests songs that are special to him and his s/o. 

Accepts any and all photos, the more candid, the better. To him, the best pictures aren’t the ones that are staged, but the ones where people don’t realize they’re being captured; the raw emotion on people’s faces and how they naturally look when surrounded by friends and family.

"Come on, guys, get a move on!" Mina shouted over her shoulder, Kaminari, Kirishima and Sero all attempting to drag a cursing Bakugou toward a karaoke bar.

"GET THE FUCK OFF ME, NERDS! I'M NOT SINGING!" Bakugou yelled as he attempted to dig his heels into the ground to prevent them from dragging him in. Out of all the stupid ass things they force him to do, why did it have to be a karaoke bar?

"No one's gonna force you to sing, man." Kirishima told him. "We're just gonna have some fun. Besides, you've been really stressed out lately, and Kaminari needs a night out with the gang to forget..."

"All right, all right, no need to bring it up again!" Kaminari interjected before Kirishima could finish. Kaminari had gone through a God awful break up about 6 months before. Despite the fact that his most recent ex had been horrible to him, Kaminari couldn't forget her. Hell, he wouldn't even flirt with any other girl.... The only good thing about the relationship ending? His Soulmate Timer tattoo finally popped up with exactly six months to go, the timer now reading 6 minutes, 29 seconds and counting. He felt a hand on his shoulder, bringing him back out of his thoughts. Turning his head, he saw Jirou.

"No worries, Kaminari, we're gonna have so much fun tonight, you won't have time to think about it." Jirou told him. Kaminari gave a half smile while Mina and the others dragged Bakugou inside, Kaminari entering behind them. Just as Bakugou was about to jump out of his seat to leave, Kirishima put his favorite soda in front of him. Bakugou automatically sat back down, though he had a pout on his face.

"Fine, but if we stay here longer than 30 minutes, I'm out of here." He grumbled. The entire BakuSquad got up on stage, except for Bakugou, and sang until their stomachs hurt from laughing so hard. While Kirishima, Mina and Sero were being goofballs on stage, Kaminari jumped a bit when he saw the time remaining. His gold eyes darted around the room. Less than a minute left on his soulmate timer, where was his soulmate? What did they look like? What were they like? Would they even like him? His mind raced with countless questions until...

"G-Guys, please don't." He heard a female voice and turned his head to see a beautiful pair of e/c eyes wide in fright as they were focused on the same stage Kirishima, Sero and Mina were now exiting.

"Aw, come on, Y/N, have a little fun." Kaminari nearly growled at the friend's tone of voice and the look on their face. Whoever it was, he hated them already. You, on the other hand....

Despite your best efforts to stay off the stage, your friends were stronger, managing to push you on stage. You were trembling with eyes like a deer caught in headlights. Your h/c hair was covering half your face as jazzy music started playing. It was obvious that you were scared, and the fact that your friends were laughing at you only pissed him off. Since he knew the song, Kaminari jumped out of his seat, racing over to the stage to get there before the introductional instrumental ended. You noticed that there were only seconds left on your soulmate timer,  jumping a bit when you noticed the blond joining you on stage. Something in that blonde's gold eyes made your panicked breathing start to slow down, bringing you back down from the panic attack that was coming on... He gingerly held your hands in his, his thumb smoothing over the back of your hands.

"It's just you and me right now. Focus on me, okay?" He whispered before he started singing the song to you.

"When you were lonely, you needed a man." He flexed goofily on man, grinning just a bit when he noticed the most adorable blush cross your face. "Someone to lean on, well, I understand.

Nights can be empty and nights can be cold, so you were looking for someone to hold.

I couldn't help it, it had to be you and I thought you knew the reason why." His smile got bigger as he notice your growing smile. You were starting to relax. He really got into dancing on stage with you, grinning when a giggle left you.

"I only wanted a little love affair, but now I can see you are beginning to care, but baby...

To forget me!" You sang before laughing as Kaminari danced with you to the instrumental, grinning all the while. It was working... The BakuSquad watched Kaminari with shit-eating grins on their faces. Kaminari was forgetting about his ex, and from what it looked like, he had finally found his soulmate... Even better... Kaminari pulled you close to him when the soft melody played, softly smiling down at you. No matter what, he wanted to keep you safe... To always make you smile... He grinned and danced with you as the tempo kicked back up again.

"Falling in love with a woman like you,

happens so quickly, there's nothing to do.

It's only natural, but why did it have to be me?" Kaminari sang to you as he spun you.

To forget me!" You sang back to him, giggling as you two danced on stage, forgetting the world around you. As the song winded down, you laughed as Kaminari dipped you as everyone cheered, the BakuSquad being the loudest. He grinned down at you before noticing that your so called "friends" had ditched you. His gaze softened as he helped you back upright.

"Hey, um... Do you... maybe want to join my friends and I? If you'll allow me to, I wanna get to know you better." Kaminari asked. You blushed and nodded. He got off stage first before helping you down. "I'm Denki, by the way... Denki Kaminari." He introduced himself as he led you to the BakuSquad with an arm around you. You blushed shyly.

"I-I'm Y/N... Y/N L/N." You introduced yourself, blushing darker when he pulled out a chair for you, gently cradling your hand in his as he helped you sit down. Once you were seated, he kissed the back of your hand and sat down next to you. He made the necessary introductions before staying by your side for the rest of the night, getting to know everything about you....

"And that, my adorable little princess, is how I met your goregous mother." Denki finished telling the story to the e/c baby girl in his arms many years later. His infant daughter cooed up at him before nuzzling into his chest. He chuckled as he held her close. "My little spark." He nuzzled his nose with hers, causing her to coo happily and giggle. He chuckled.

"Denki." Denki looked up at the sound of his name to see you, your h/c hair messy with the bedhead he wasn't supposed to see until that morning. "Don't you think it's time she goes to sleep?" You asked him with an eyebrow raised. Denki pouted.

"Not my fault she's Daddy's little girl, she was crying for me, babe." Denki told you before smiling sweetly down at the little girl in his arms. "Yeah, you're Daddy's girl, huh?" He asked her, getting a smile out of her and a squeal. He chuckled.

"Well, she won't be your little girl forever, Denki." You told him. The look that crossed his face in that split second looked like you had just kicked a puppy. He held his daughter protectively close to his heart.

"No." He whined. "Why can't she stay my little princess forever?"

"She has to grow up at some point, Denki. Besides, who'll fight as a hero in your place once you can't anymore?"

"Babe, can't I just enjoy the baby years? She hasn't even got a quirk yet." Denki replied as his little girl started babbling and playing with her little toes in his arms. He grinned down at her and peppered her little face in kisses.

"Fine, but it's still her bedtime." You answered him. Denki grinned at you before shifting his little girl to one arm and holding out his now free arm for you. You obliged, coming close before Denki wrapped his arm around you while holding his daughter. As the two of you sang a lullabye together to send your little girl into the land of sweet dreams, thinking of the little family that you and Denki had made together, neither you had any idea that her quirk had already begun to develop.

And it was quite... Electric.....

ABCs of your OCs

A list of oc questions in alphabetical categories - i made each category based on the first word I could think of in alphabetical order, so enjoy!

A: Aptitude 1. What are your oc’s natural abilities, things they’ve been doing since young? Well as far as natural goes, she’s always been good at digging up details and exploring things. She’s always had the ability to read people as well and has always been able to manipulate her way through situations.  2. What activities have they participated in? Does being a Science Experiment count as an activity? She’s certainly not had the chance to join clubs or extracurricular but she’s managed to find people who have taught her how to Hack and code on the side. Aside from that she’s assisted with other experiments.  3. What abilities do they have that they’ve worked for? By work she’s had to gain control over them but that would be her Telekinesis mostly. She’s also worked to learn how to fight with her fan-blades, combat is a skill no?

4. What things are they bad at? Showing emotions. She’s been taught that they make you weak or get in the way so for the most part she tends to really hide them, even from herself. I guess she’s bad at dealing with them too because of that. She usually just overrides the bad ones with distractions or sedatives. 5. What is their most impressive talent? Hmm...probably Telekinesis? Though arguably her skill with computers can be quite impressive, she does help discover how to upload consciousness after all. 

B: Basics 1. what is their hair color? Platinum or I like to say Moonwhite 2. what is their eye color? Electric blue, they have that glow behind them.  3. how tall are they? 5′4 4. how old are they? If she no longer ages, does it matter? 5. how much do they weigh? 125lbs

C: Comfort  1. how do they sit in a chair?  With legs curled up into it 2. in what position do they sleep? Curled on her stomach 3. what is their ideal comfort day? Remind me what a comfort day is? I don’t think she knows. 4. what is their major comfort food? why?  Cupcakes - They’re pretty and taste amazing 5. who is the best at comforting them when down? Reeve Tuesti animus-inspire

D: Decoration 1. how would they decorate a house if they had one under their name? Her color scheme would be black and royal blue and it would probably have a victorian-esque style to the furniture. 2. how would they decorate their child’s room? What child? x) 3. how do they decorate their own room? Much like above, black bed, blue carpet, vanity, antique looking mirrors, books strewn about etc..and then probably some high tech laptop xD 4. what type of clothes and accessories do they wear? She usually wears some type of dress or long sweater dress w/ leggings type of outfits. But she does get into her crazy sci-fi armor mode at times with metallic bands and alien-esque designs. Example HERE  Also, syringe belts, corset tops, vinyl...whatever she feels like but nothing ever baggy or denim.  5. do they like makeup/nail/beauty trends? I’m not sure that she’s into trends but if she’s browsing and finds a look that she likes she bound to try it out with her own twist to it. 

E: External Personality 1. does the way they do things portray their internal personality? Not exactly, she tends to a hide a lot by using the outside as a mask. Usually a cold exterior and the colder she is about something? Chances are the more that it actually bothers her inside. 2. do they do things that conform to the norm? I’m not sure she knows what normal is #lablife 3. do they follow trends or do their own thing? She tends to do her own thing  4. are they up-to-date on the internet fads? She doesn’t care 5. do they portray their personality intentionally or let people figure it out on their own? People are going to have to figure it out on their own, whatever she portrays is what she wants certain people to see. It’s all a controlled act unless you do break through to her. 

F: Fun 1. what do they do for fun? Tease people!, Works on her own projects, Talks to pet lab mice >> 2. what is their ideal party? A fancy club/bar with drinks and the atmosphere to not give a fuck about anything 3. who would they have the most fun with? Reeve Tuesti 4. can they have fun while conforming to rules? No, rules usually get broken whether intentional or not.  5. do they go out a lot? Not in her earlier years, and I wouldn’t say a lot but she does jump at any chance to get out when she can in later years or certain verses. 

G: Gorgeous 1. what is their most attractive external feature? Oof, I’d rather someone else answer but I would say her eyes? They’re very prominent .  2. what is the most attractive part of their personality? Sly, cunning, seductive. I know people like the tease and the mystery. 3. what benefits come with being their friend? Extreme favors and definitely protection. Need anything that science can create? She’s got your back. 4. what parts of them do they like and dislike? She likes her loyalty and strength but she dislikes her alien side and does what she can to hide it from others.  5. what parts of others do they envy? She doesn’t. In her mind she’s Perfect and has been conditioned that way. 

H: Heat 1. do they rather a hot or cold room? Cold so she can snuggle.  2. do they prefer summer or winter? Summer! 3. do they like the snow? It’s pretty...but it’s very cold so not really.  4. do they have a favorite summer activity? She loves the ocean and to hang at Costa del Sol. 5. do they have a favorite winter activity? She doesn’t experience much Winter in Midgar. 

I: In-the-closet 1. what is their sexuality? Most likely Bi.  2. have they ever questioned their sexuality? No. She likes what she likes. 3. have they ever questioned their gender? No....aside from the fact she’s part alien??? 4. would/was their family be okay with them being LGBT? What family? 5. how long would/did it take for them to come out?  She’s pretty much a take me how I am or leave it type. 

J: Joy 1. what makes them happy? Kisses, attention, affection 2. who makes them happy? Reeve! 3. are there any songs that bring them joy? Hip-hop de Chocobo :| 4. are they happy often? No - certain verses though....when Reeve’s around >> 5. what brings them the most joy in the world? Once again, Reeve x) and being called perfect by certain someones

K: Kill 1. have they ever thought about suicide? Self harm, yes. But never suicide. That would mean losing.  2. have they ever thought about homicide? Yeah most likely :| 3. if they could kill anyone without punishment, would they? who? Anyone who hurts whoever she protects or loves. Then again...she believes that’s the easy way out and she’d rather break them mentally or make them suffer over death.  4. who would miss them if they died? Her sissy Ari, Reeve, and I’d like to think Hojo.  5. who would be happy they died, anyone? I’M SURE! But I don’t know who. DO tell me if it’s you xD Certain sects of Avalanche perhaps?

L: Lemons 1. what is their favorite fruit? Pineapple, Kiwi, Raspberries, Loganberries 2. what is their least favorite fruit? Blueberries maybe? 3. are there any foods they hate? Pork products 4. do they have any food intolerance? Intolerant of shitty options  5. what is their favorite food? Sushi!

M: Maternal 1. would they want a daughter or a son? If with the right person, sure? She’d more lean towards a Son. 2. how many children do they want? It would all depend.  3. would they be a good parent? Probably 4. what would they name a son? what would they name a daughter? I don’t want to sit here forever just to figure this out xD It’ll come to her when the time comes. 5. would they adopt? If there was reason, sure. 

N: Never Have I Ever 1. what would they never do? Betray someone she loves. 2. what have they never done that they want to do? Gold Saucer please :V 3. is there anything they absolutely can’t believe people do? She certainly doesn’t understand camping. 4. what is the most embarrassing thing they’ve done? Oh um....thrown a cookie at the President? I’m sure she’s had lots of embarrassing moments.  5. have they done anything they thought they’d never do? Left the fucking labs! With Reeve of all people...never thought she’d see THAT coming. 

O: Optimism 1. are they optimistic or pessimistic? This tends to fluctuate 2. are they openly optimistic, throwing it on others? If she needs to cheer someone up.  3. are they good at giving advice? Yes! She’s very crafty and know’s how to work situations.     4. is there anyone in their life that throws optimism on them? Hmmm...Arialla! 5. were they always optimistic? Not really

P: Personality 1. what is their best personality trait? Strength and Loyalty 2. what is their worst personality trait? Vindictive, Stubborn, Volatile 3. what of their personality do others love? Bold, Persistent 4. what of their personality do others envy? Fearless or crazy 5. do they hate anything about their personality/about other’s personalities? She hate weakness in others like...extreme William type weakness :| She tends to hate her own emotions quite a lot. 

Q: Questions 1. do they ask for help? Yes if she needs it! She’s always willing to trade a favor.  2. do they ask questions in class? She’s not in school but she asks questions. It’s part of the scientific method. 3. do they answer questions that make them a little uncomfortable? Yes...unless its something she wants to keep hidden. 4. do they ask weird questions? All the damn time 5. are they curious? VERY!

R: Rules 1. do they follow rules? What are those again? 2. would they be a strict or laid-back parent? Both? 3. have they ever been consequences for breaking a rule? Yes, but she thinks its amusing/funny. 4. have they broken any rules they now regret breaking? Nope! No regrets! 5. do they find any rules they/others follow absolutely ridiculous? Most of them to be honest. Why limit yourself with the limitations of others?

S: Streets 1. are they street-smart? No, she tries :| 2. would they give money to someone on the streets? Yeah 3. have they ever gotten in a fight on the streets? If she hasn’t it’ll happen at some point. 4. has anything happened to them on the streets? Um... well, she may have slept with someone on a street but we’re not talking about that >> 5. are they cautious when out? Yes, she’s always cautious. 

T: Truth 1. are they honest? No, depends who she’s talking too though.  2. can they tell if someone is lying? Yeah, she’s good at reading others.  3. is it obvious when they’re lying? It’s not obvious but she does have her tells which mostly involve diversions.  4. have they lied about anything they regret lying about? If anything, it’s the lies that she tells herself that she regrets.  5. have they told truths that have been spread against their will? Yes

U: Underdog 1. have they been bullied? That would be a stupid thing to do. 2. have they bullied anyone? Aside from teasing or being manipulative for a reason? I don’t think so. 3. have they been physically attacked by a bully? Nope - again that would be stupid 4. have they ever been doubted? V: Vomit 1. do they vomit often? Not too often but when those emotions slip out in extremes she tends to throw up, what she shoves down must come up eventually. When she can’t take something this usually happens. Or if something impacts her hard. 2. do they get lots of stomach aches? Occasionally, she gets more headaches than anything. 3. are they good at comforting someone ill? Yes 4. what do they like as far as comfort goes? Someone to cuddle with 5. do they burp, cough, or hiccup most when nauseous? when vomiting? Coughs

A - Affection (How do they show how much they care in their day to day lives)

It’s pretty obvious that Shoto hadn’t really been shown any sort of affection before you. But once this boy gets some, he’s addicted. He’s almost always touching you in some way get your mind out of the gutter. From hand holding, to cuddling, Todo will be beisde you, and enjoying the fact you’re with him. He always makes sure to tell you that you’re his angel, and that he loves you. It’s the little thing that count.

B - Before (How did they act before the relationship/ what was the relationship like?)

Met at a hero’s gala, and snuck out together. You both agreed that whenever you’re dragged along with your pro parent, you’d met up. Usually ending up in deep conversations, in the middle of a big fancy garden. You both kept your distance physically, before you actually got into a relationship, but emotionally; you’ve always had a deep convection.

C - Comfort (How they act when their S/O is sad)

Now you’d assume he is completely clueless on this type of thing. WRONG! This boy can tell the moment you start to feel down, instantly going in for a hug. But if that doesn’t work, or he finds you crying he’ll go through his mental checklist. Firstly wrapping you up in any nearest blanket, hugging you while wrapping it around your frame. Then wraps his arms around you while you burry your face in his neck. Boy would never force you tell him whats wrong, but will always listen and offer his advice if you want him to.

D - Dawn (What are mornings like?)

Always wake up together. Even if one of you has to get up earlier. You take turns making breakfast if it’s the weekend, but it’s usually more like lunch beacause any days off you get is spent cuddling in bed, watching whatever is on TV. Once he becomes a Pro though, you’ll absolutely refuse to get out of bed at 4:30am, but you’ll always wake up to talk and kiss him goodbye.

E - Embarrassed (How does their S/O make them flustered? How do they return the favour?)

(This was a specific request so I’m going to make it longer)

Shoto has a very stoic face, however it’s easy to tell when he’s flustered, just examine his quirk. When you first started talking, he refused to left you hold his right hand. Due to the fact that you had unexpectedly grabbed it once, and he almost ended up burning your delicate skin. Anything could make him fluster and act up. Conpliments, PDA, kisses, even you just acting cute. (Strangely he doesn’t get flustered with hugs) it’s kinda funny to watch the boy accidentally light his shirt on fire, or end up encasing his hand in ice. On the opposite side though, he returns the favour ten fold. He doesn’t mean to, he’s so blunt that it doesn’t register to him that it might make you flustered. He’ll say things like ‘I live for you, you’re the reason I want to get up in the morning’ out of complete nowhere! He has a bad habit of doing it at fan signings, cuz he’s getting so many questions about your relationship. ‘My favourite thing about her? Obviously everything.’ Complete and utter straight face the entire time. That doesn’t mean to say that he doesn’t enjoy you’re super cute blushing face, or how you get when you’re flustered.

F - First date (Were did you go and what did you do for your first date together)

You never had an official ‘first date’ due to meeting at hero galas. However, the day you two started dating was kinda like it. It had only been a few weeks since school started, but here you were at another gala. Shoto had quickly found you, walking with you to the garden, not too far from the hall. The music was so loud that you could hear it all the way from outside, but it just added to the ambience. Of course you had snuck food from the hall, making yourself a a makeshift picnic under the starts. It was calming, and you even slow danced at one point, laughing as you enjoyed each other’s company.

G - Gentle (How Gentle are they with their S/O? Or do they like to rough house with them?)

Shoto genuinely believes you are made out of porcelain. Yes, he knows you can handle yourself, but he’s still not risking anything. One of his worst fears is turning into his father, which includes being rough with his s/o. He will still train with you, without holding back, but you best be ready for him to check every inch of your skin afterwards.

H - Habit (What do they repeatally do in the relationship?)

Todo has this habit of always making sure you’re at a comfortable temperature. It stems from always wanting to look after you, and plus if you need an adjustment, he would happily cuddle you to the right temperature. If he notices a small shiver, he’ll instantly offer up his jacket. If you start sweating, boi is already looking up the nearest ice cream store. But nothing works better then him regulating your temperature himself.

I - Intreating (What do they find fascinating about their S/O? And vise versa?)

It’s kinda sad, but a big draw to you was because you totally excepted him dispite all flaws or scars. He find it so amazing how when even talking about villains, you never talk negatively about looks, or thing that they can’t control. Only about their crimes or morals. He cherishes how you look beyond the surface, and wonders how he got so lucky.

J - Jealousy (How easily do they get jealous, and how do they deal with it)

Now Todoroki doesn’t get jelouse. Let me rephrase that; Todoroki is good at hiding that he’s jealous. He completely trusts you, and knows you wouldn’t cheat on him. He’ll let you deal with any clingy fans, HOWEVER if he notices that you need help. RIP to whoever is crushing on you. Will come up right beside you, left arm protectively over your shoulder. That’s around the time any creep starts noticing the ice creeping up their leg. ‘Something you wanna say to MY girlfriend?’ Que death glare until they leave.

K - Knick Knack (A random momento they still have from their S/O)

You had accidentally left one of your favourite mugs at Shotos, and of course he used it every chance he got. In until he broke it. He had felt horrible, but told you right away, after cleaning up the mess. Dispite his knowledge though, you had glued it back together and painted gold along the cracks. The reason being: ‘I read somewhere that people repaire broken objects with gold, showing how it adds to the beauty of it’ of course you count use it to drink, but it turned into a plant pot. Along with his favourite thing in his room.

L - Location (Favourite place to go on dates)

Loves taking you to do nature related things. His go to is a clearing that looks over the city, you’ll often have picnics there, then stargaze for a bit. It’s quite nice, and not too far from his place. His sister had shown it to him when he was younger, and he went there to clear his mind every so often. So now he clears his head with you, a win win for both of you because he makes the best picnics!

M - Movie (What cliché movie trope has actually happened in the relationship?)

You ever see those movies where everyone is at a big dance, but everyone is wearing masks? Two strangers (who actually know eachother) meet, and dance the night away. Well this happened to the clueless pair of you. You guys basically confided in eachother, telling one another about the crush developing for each other. Both only realizing it the next time you saw eachother, promising to wear the same outfit as last time. XD

N - Nickname (What do they call their S/O?)

Names he calls his S/O:

‘Snowflake’ doesn’t mean it in a weak sort of way.

Todoroki is a very stoic person, so it’s not very obvious. Heck, half the class didn’t even realize you two were dating, until Shoto started getting protective of you due to something Mineta said. But once they knew, it became so obvious. He would follow you around, making sure you were okay after every training session, and even genuinely smile on a daily basis. You’re both super attentive to eachother, and seemed to always be holding hands!

P - PDA (Do they like showing off their s/o, or are a little shy to kiss in public)

Probably the most you’ll get is constant hand holding. He likes knowing your always beside him, and vise versa. Usually fingers interlaced, on Shoto’s right side, for two reasons. 1. Your hands won’t get clamy due to the cold, and 2. Because he can’t always control his fire when his emotions act up. However if for some reason you have to go, he’ll hold your conjoined hands up to his heart and say his goodbye. Maybe giving your forehead a kiss on special days.

Q - Quirk (A random ability they have, that’s helpful in a relationship)

Todoroki has this amazing ability to talk everything out with you. He hates fighting due to his childhood, so he always makes sure everything is out in the open. As to not have any misunderstandings EVER. He will and wants you to open up about everything from incecurities, to every bit of your day. Too many problems have come through miscommunication, and he isn’t about to allow your relationship to do the same.

R - Rearly (Something they love to do, but it doesn’t happen often)

Absolutely loves ice skating with you! But specifically on Christmas Eve, with all the lights and songs surrounding you both. He wouldn’t let go of your hand, and is constantly heating you up with his quirk. Sneaky boy heats up his lips, in hopes you’ll kiss him more. (First Christmas together he gave you your gift in the middle of the frozen ice)

S - Special (Something that only them and their S/O do together)

After the first month of dating, Shoto started bringing you to see his mom. You’re kind heart reminded him so much of Rei, and honestly he though you two should meet because you’re going to be apart of the distinctional family. He seems to feel a lot more at eas when you’re there, so it’s turned into a personal thing you do together.

T - Together (How often do they spend time with their S/O?)

Not enough! Between school or hero work, you bearly get anytime to yourselves. You always make a point of having date night, but sometimes due to how hard the week was: date night becomes movie + cuddle night. Of course you always fall asleep together, but half the time one of you is already passed out before the other gets home.

U - United (In which way does the relationship become a whole? Marriage?)

Basically once you’ve become part of the family. Weekly visits to see his mom, helping his siblings out with various things, and even standing up to Endever. (Also is that a patchy guy in the shadows smiling at you?) if this boy had opened both his heart and his family up to you, you best believe a ring (thx to dads credit card) is coming your way.

V - Value (What do they treasure the most in their relationship?)

Shoto values the time you spend together so much! It’s rare that you two have more then a day to spend together, so he’s going to make the most out of it. Expect to do 5 or more things in the day, and be joined at the hip for the majority of it. On the off chance that you both end up haveing the weekend off together, Todo is already booking flights. It’s usually a last minute type thing, but hey, who would pass up a trip to Tokyo with their boyfriend?

W - Wish (What do they hope will come from the relationship?)

He wants the chance to be better. He wants to be the best husband (and hopefully father) in the world. He’s never had a very good family life, and honestly he wants one. Especially one with you, because duh, you’d make a great wife! (And maybe mom) and hey if you decide you don’t want kids, then he’s totally fine with that, as long as you get him a pet.

X - XOXO (Favourite types of kisses and hugs)

Shoto is a sucker for curling up in your lap, while you run your fingers through his hair. He’ll hug your waist as you massage the days stress away. That combined with a sleepy goodnight kiss, this boi would die happy and content. He tends to get nightmares, but your goodnight kisses scare them away. Without you, he honestly doesn’t sleep well.

Y - Yearning (How do they cope when they're missing their partner?)

Originally, he was totally okay for the first day or two. But this boy didn’t realize how genuinely touch starved he was, especially without you. Calls every day, just to say hi and that he misses you. Will surround himself in your stuff, and gifts you’ve given him. Stole back his sweater just because it smelt like you. When you finally return, he won’t leave your side for the whole day.

Z - Zeal (Will they go great lengths for the sake of the relationship? What kind?)

Todo would empty his fathers entire bank account for you. He’s willing to to almost anything you ask of him, because he believes that you deserve it. It’s kinda funny when you ask for something small, and he takes it to a whole new level. You ask him to cook more often because you’re busy, he just signed up for a chef class. Ask him to open up about what he’s dealing with? He will sit down right there and let you comfort him. He respects your wishes, and enjoys when you ask him for stuff, because you should be able to lean on eachother anytime.

hey, hiii just wanted to ask about your thoughts/opinions on shadows character

Do you mean like.... Overall or how it’s been handled lately?

It also kinda depends on which version of Shadow. I mean, obviously from my set of 4 Shadows I have on my desk, I love him.

SO I guess we need to break it down.

Sonic Adventure 2 Shadow: I love this silly edgelord. He’s basically a teenager who’s also woken up from a really long nap. Have you ever had nap brain before? Because it sucks, and I like to think that’s part of why he’s so grumpy and also why he had so many memory problems. He might have been out of cryostasis, but his brain was still waking up. He’s moody, he’s probably going through hormone swings because, you know, teenager, and he’s trying to figure out where he stands in the world. This is the Shadow I was first introduced to when my cousin had the game system and I was watching him play it. I literally made my mom buy me a gamecube and the game because I wanted to play with Shadow. I’m always late to the game with stuff. I mean heck, I only just now started playing Sonic Forces and that’s been out since 2017, but this game REALLY impacted my view on the Sonic franchise.

Shadow in Shadow The Hedgehog: Okay so I know a lot of other people really hate his depiction in this game. They don’t like the idea of Shadow going THAT edge and liking guns and all of that stuff due to his PTSD with Maria. But honestly... I don’t mind it that much? Because there’s the whole thing about him having amnesia again or whatever. And what’s more interesting to look at from this game’s point of view is that, just like a lot of other things in the Sonic Franchise, it’s an AU. This is a choose your own adventure where you can literally decide if Shadow is going to freak out and go down the villain’s path, stay neutral and do his own thing, or realize that he needs his friends and go down the hero’s path. So even if you’re not super into him using guns, you could still have him go down that hero path and find his true self. Plus this thing has one of the most bangin’ theme songs Shadow’s ever had. Like all of his themes from games are pretty awesome, but I personally LOVE this one. Especially the extra m e t a l version by Little V.

Shadow in other games: He can be kind of hit-or-miss in the personality department here. You’ve got him in Sonic Heroes with amnesia... again. And possibly being an andriod. But honestly I love that “date to die for!” scene because it’s so dramatic! You’ve got him in Free Riders for some reason being willing to help Rouge get money in the race even though he’s never actually been willing to help before. In most games he’s just kinda sorta... there, and it feels like the writers don’t fully know what to do with him if he’s not the main focus of the game. There’s one big exception to that though:

Shadow in Sonic 06: The game everyone shits on, mostly just because of some of the graphics being shitty here and there in the actual gameplay and also the whole “Sonic hooking up with a human chick” thing. However, this is one of the best characterizations of Shadow. He cares about his friends, he gets given the support he needs, and in turn he also winds up giving that support to Silver. You know, after giving him a boot to the head. As bad as this game might have been, we did actually get relatively good character development for some of these characters, and Shadow was one of them. His willingness to do his part and take Silver “under his quills” as I’ve seen other people say, properly shows off his compassionate side rather than him just.... being dark and brooding. You know?

Boom Shadow: Eeeeh.... I’m not totally sure how to feel about this one? I love listening to his voice for sure. I like watching his fight scenes. But it feels like they’re making him edgy just for the sake of being edgy. And he’s really easily manipulated? I feel like, while Boom has done some great things with other characters, Shadow has gotten the short end of the stick. He’s kinda bland most of the time when it comes to his actual characterization, and he’s boiled down to a one-note kind of guy. So like, I don’t hate it but I really think I could do better.

IDK comics Shadow: They kinda did the same thing here. Shadow started out pretty darn great in that scene with Sonic and deciding what to do with Mr. Tinker. Seeing Sonic get under Shadow’s skin about it and making him back down was a great way of showing how the two have really gotten to understand each other over the years and that Sonic knows Shadow better than he’s willing to admit. That’s where my praise ends. Shadow then basically disappears until we get him back being stubborn as hell and jumping right into a pit of zombots and BOOM, just like that he’s taken out of the game. We’ll see how things go once this virus thing is over (because honestly I feel like it’s been lasting waaaay too long.) and if they use this to humanize him a bit more or if they keep him being super stubborn and one-note. But yeah, as of now I’m not super happy with how he’s been handled.

Shadow in the Archie Comics: HOO BOY I SAVED THE BEST ONE FOR LAST. And by best I mean worst. Where do I even begin with this one? Let me start by saying that I haven’t read all of the Archie comics yet. I’m working on it now, and I’m reading them somewhere online because they’re expensive as hell to get a hold of. But dear lord, this writing is usually horrible! Some of the writers work well together while others *cough*kenpenders*cough* don’t bother to read each other’s stories or will get pissy about their own plotlines not going anywhere and others having to fix them. Shadow is... yanked around so heavily in this series. In some stories, he’s great. He shows interesting characteristics and shows that he’s learning and growing. In others he’s just kinda.... there. In others he’s going completely against what he’s learned and is treating people like shit unless he’s manipulated to do otherwise. One of my absolute biggest complaint about the Archie series is: Tyrant Overlord King Shadow, from the 25/30 years later arch. It’s so bad, you guys. *disgruntled noises* Ken Penders basically had Shadow do a complete 180 despite everything he’s ever learned. He forcibly married Sally, became a tyrant of a king who ruled with an iron fist, and when Sonic kicked his ass and threw him in another stasis tube and he was brought back later, he unleashed this weird Tikal/Chaos creature out into the world to completely destroy it after feeding her so much chaos energy that he hurt her. Also the writer completely freaking forgot to actually END that story. Sonic and the New Freedom Fighters defeat and re-seal away “Tichaos,” but there’s no closure as to what happens to Shadow. It’s just Ken Penders going: “LOOK MY SUPER SPECIAL AWESOME OCS JUST SAVED THE DAY.” And it’s like.... okay, but what about Shadow? Did he escape? Is he still in the castle? Is there a second part to this? And sadly, that’s as far as I’ve read with that line and I don’t know if it got any further before they had to do the reboot. So yeah, Shadow is kinda shafted in these comics too.

Overall: I think he’s a really great character with a lot of wasted potential. He tends to shine more when the spotlight is fully on him because in that case, the writers realize they need to work on him more. But when he’s a side character, they boil him down to one-note and that’s really not a good thing to do with any character. (I should also note that I haven’t actually gotten to purchase the DLC yet of Shadow’s story for Sonic Forces, so I’ll need to go and watch the cut scenes before I can properly say anything on that particular game.)

The Sonic Franchise suffers overall from a case of: Too many characters. Now I wouldn’t change that about them, especially this late in the game. However we’ve been introduced to so many characters that none of them ever really get their chance in the spotlight anymore. Another artist that I can actually compare this to is actually VivziePop. She designs a LOT of characters for her works, and she puts so much effort into them that they all come across as “main character material” and completely overshadow the actual main character of the story. The biggest time that has impacted her work was in her comic Zoophobia. The main character was some human chick thrown into the world, but then she spent so long establishing all of the almost hundred characters she’d made for the world that the story itself felt like it de-railed. She’s gotten a bit better with Hazbin, but Charlie still gets really overshadowed. Some of the Archie comics got to be the same way. They had introduced so many characters at that point that they needed to do storylines that didn’t involve Sonic, and Ken Penders himself didn’t really like writing for Sonic because it was so restrictive, where as he had a lot of free reign with the other ones he’d made or that weren’t the main character. So he just kept making character after character to throw in there, and that combined with the characters we got from all of the assorted media over the years means a lot more characters to try and focus on. So the ones that don’t get their prime time in the spotlight just kinda never go anywhere. Also Shadow not being the main precious blue boy probably explains why his writing can be so wibbly-wobbly depending on the media he’s in. Because Sega isn’t breathing down anyone’s neck anywhere near as heavily as they are for Sonic.

I should probably stop typing now because I’ve written you a novel. XD

TL;DR: I love Shadow but he gets the shaft more often than not by the writers.

For non-instrumental.. there’s a lot. Ellise, SYML, Nico Collins, Frank Sinatra, and Bohnes are a few I’ve had in some playlists lately, but there’s way too many.  Favorite songs: This is harder than the last one and I am not obligated to answer it. (’: But if you’re someone who reads my samples or threads, you might find some of my favorite OST’s/mood musics that suit the post/hint at something hidden in there. Song stuck in your head: Again, these change so often daily it’s hard to pick one, but a handful include A Little Messed Up by june, Dance Monkey (the slowburn edit), and way more OST’s than are healthy. (Highlights for that include the original Medievil soundtrack, which for some reason reminds me of Castlevania at times.) Last movie you saw: Birds of Prey! I almost didn’t go due to not feeling great, so I’m glad I bucked up and saw it with some friends. Reason for your url: The original concept for Pepper was very much a mosquito-like cryptid created for a certain purpose, hence the mosquito. The diabolik part is because I originally joined Tumblr to find a community for Diabolik Lovers (due to some other writing sites being very.. standoffish if you don’t write canons/don’t exclusively write gay ships), but now it’s just all kinds of vampire hell. Once I actually get into some more vampy verses you can bet I’ll be writing/reblogging stuff from those as well! and yes I am looking for more recommendations in that vein (heh, puns) if anyone has some. Average amount of sleep: Erm.. 3-12 hours. During the week it’s about 3-5, and weekends is sometimes my “catch up” time where I still stay up quite late, but actually sleep in to let my body get some rest. Lucky number: It’s always been 9, and it tends to come up a lot in odd places so I might have to stick with it. Currently wearing: An old super comfy high school t-shirt and shorts, complete with a coat of long hair courtesy of my cat who was just laying on me. Dream job: Honestly? Still figuring that out. I’m going on a clinical psych track at the moment, but I’ve been doing a bit of soul-searching and testing to see if I’m actually strong enough for the therapist/clinician route I was originally after. I just don’t know if I’m strong enough just yet to settle into a job where I could very well have to help abusers in their early stages, something that I have no doubt will be upsetting to me personally. I’m a bit of an empath at times so it’d be excellent for the job, but I also feel I’d take it home with me which is dangerous. I don’t feel like I’m smart enough for psychology research on regular basis, though, so I have some thinking to do. Thankfully I’m still getting my bachelor’s so it’s not like I’m hard-pressed to immediately figure it out. On a lighter note, smol me was very much convinced I would be a marine biologist due to my love of the ocean and my skill in scuba diving, but that evaporated when research told me they travel nonstop and frequent travel makes me anxious Dream trips: I’ve been on a cruise a couple times and the experiences were honestly life-changing for one odd reason or another, be it how that time had me interact with my family and the things I got to see and experience. There’s a strange sense of freedom, even though you’re mostly confined to a boat. I’d love to visit Ireland and Germany since it’s where almost my entire family come from and often the landscape is beautiful, and since our culture’s kind of been watered down after a few generations living here I’d like to connect with that. Favorite foods: I have like 2-3 cups of tea in a day and keep exploring all kinds of new types, so that’d probably be it literally. Ones that I idealize in my head though wheeze would probably be things like steak, or scallops, or a specific kind of ice cream shaved ice thing I had once that legitimately made me tear up because it was so good.  Play any instruments? I tried to pick up the coronet in grade school since my dad played the trumpet and I thought it’d be fun, but I had some trouble memorizing the order of notes for songs, and it all kind of fell apart after an instructor dented up my instrument with a drumstick and tried to refuse to apologize/pay for it. (Yes, seriously, but that’s a story for another time. xD)

The very first time I ever wrote anything (that was far before the internet and before I even knew that fanfics were), was for the Famous Five. My first fic when I knew about fanfics was for Avatar the Last Airbender.

The Famous Five, Avatar the Last Airbender, the Vampire Diaries, Yugioh [none of these were ever uploaded anywhere lol], MCU, One Piece and the Gazette.

C. Who is your favorite character to write?

I'm honestly not sure I have one lol. I'd say any character from my three otps~

D. Do you prefer gen or romance?

Romance.

E. Have you ever written a crossover?

Nope. I have once imagined a Yugioh and One Piece crossover though lol idek why.

Geez..... since High School so around hm.... 12 to 15 years?

I love writing chaptered fics so much lol I just rarely ever manage to finish them 😑

I used to post chapter by chapter but now I first write the whole fic before I post the story. It works better that way for me. One or two friends do get to read my drafts though, to point out inconsistencies etc.

I mean I do want to write all my fic ideas eventually, so... but if I had to pick one, probably the Aoiki Shinigami AU. It's gonna be challenging af so we'll see how that goes...

M. How do you come up with titles? 

Oh boi 💀 I hate titles so much lmao I still don't have one for my Parenting AU and I'm 12 chapters in. I usually take inspiration from songs lol or use song titles tbh XD sometimes I manage to think of some aesthetically pleasing titles that somehow hint at the plot but rarely so.

N. How do you come up with summaries?

The second thing I hate the most about writing XD idk either I can think of something semi good or I'll just use some extract from a chapter and hope people will find it interesting enough to read the fic lol.

O. Is there any fandom you’ve been into that you haven’t written fic for? Why not?

Bungou Stray Dogs... I really want to write fics for it but I haven't come up with a good enough idea yet.

P. What are your favorite tropes to write?

I have so many hmm.... my favorite gotta be two idiots in love who don't know they are/are in denial or don't think the other reciprocates their feelings. Somehow that's far easier to write for me than people actually openly dating lol.

Q. If you could pick one fic of yours to rewrite, which would it be?

I mean most of my One Piece fics need rewriting lol. But I deleted most of them from the web anyway. I was considering rewriting some Law x Reader fics into Law x Luffy though~ also What Happens in Vegas needs a serious reworking lol it's so bad in some parts.

R. Would you ever write a sequel to any of your fics? Which one(s)?

I've been considering writing a one shot for Lukewarm Rain, yes. Other than that, no. I'm not really into sequels tbh.

S. What is your favorite pairing to write?

Aoiki.... I wanna write Lawlu and Soukoku too though but I haven't yet (´༎ຶོρ༎ຶོ`) also some other ships like Uruki, Reituha etc [also please note I use these ship names solely to indicate the two parts of the ships, not to say who "tops and who's bottom" since apparently everyone uses ship names that way lol. I just go for the most common ship name, that's all. I can‘t stand the top/bottom bs.]

T: Would you or have you ever written an unhappy ending?

I have yes XD a drabble in which Ace dies and a oneshot in which Law kills the reader LOL. But I would never writte unhappy endings for my otps. I hate sad endings.

U. Do you prefer AUs or canon compliant fics?

Depends on the fandom. Gazette definitely AUs, they're so fun to explore. One Piece and Bungou Stray Dogs I love canon compliant fics, there's so much to work with~

V. Do you prefer writing established relationships or first times?

First times! In one shots, established ones are cool too, but for longer fics I absolutely prefer first times~ I'm struggling a lot with open first time dating in my Parenting AU lol somehow it's so difficult for me to not include angst into the mix lol.

W. Have you ever written anything that you are embarrassed by today?

Yes. Lots of Mary Sues in One Piece fics. Thank god no one ever got to see those fics lmfao.

All of his skills he’s worked very hard to develop and become proficient at.  He started out at a disadvantage, not being able to concentrate in class and having difficulty remembering things.  He worked very hard to overcome this.

Knife fighting.  Also dancing, he’s capable of some very impressive dance moves.

Before meeting certain people, it’s holed up in his room either working on his models or studying tech manuals.  After meeting certain people, it’s snuggled on a sofa with something sweet and hot to drink, wearing thick sweater and socks, and either watching the fireplace or a movie (with a fire in the fireplace).

Some kind of hot, creamy soup.  Certain people made something like this for him on cold days or to help him feel better.

D: Decoration1. how would they decorate a house if they had one under their name?

Blakk’s DK stronghold is typically done in cool colors with sleek, industrial lines and clean, minimalistic styles, although he does favor green, so that’s probably here and there.  Left to his own devices though (and maybe some interior decoration hints), his ideal house would probably be decorated warmly, with a more natural, welcoming style of furniture.

2. how would they decorate their child’s room?

Blakk would not have a child. XD

Same as above, except littered with pieces of tech and various flying vehicle models.

4. what type of clothes and accessories do they wear?

The best in Imperial fashion - clean, sharp lines, asymmetrical styling, appropriate use of contrasting colors and accents, usually a darker color spectrum (unless white or silver).  No flowers.

Accessories include knives everywhere, a stealth unit, comms, Intel-tech grappling hook.  Less practical accessories include possible hat, white or black gloves (or dark green if he’s wearing green), earring (just one, asymmetry FTW), or choker. 

5. do they like makeup/nail/beauty trends?

No.  Except when disguised as a woman, then of course whatever is tasteful and stylish and matching his clothes.  Possibly sparkles and/or tattoos in interesting places if left up to Watcher Two. ;)

Blakk likes his appearance; he’s not shy at all about being seen and being fashionable.  He hates the rest of himself. XD

Hot!  The hotter the better.

Kindness.

Blakk hates his lack of confidence and his introvertedness. There’s not much he actually hates about other people’s personalities, except cruelty.

Not usually, although there’s not much that would make Blakk uncomfortable in a classroom setting.

Imperial rules, yes.

Neither.

Generally, but there are a lot of things Blakk lies like a rug about.

Usually; it’s part of his Intelligence training.

No, unless it’s about his own feelings. 8)

Oh yes. Or half-truths, or not confessing his feelings before it’s too late.

No, but certain people have discovered truths Blakk would rather have been left alone.

Yes, even beat up a few times at Intelligence.

2. have they bullied anyone?

No. 

3. have they been physically attacked by a bully?

Yes.

4. have they ever been doubted?

Blakk has never told anyone.  He thinks “allowing” himself to be beat up is a severe weakness, and he’s pretty demoralized that no one noticed or stepped in.

When it comes to fighting, probably yes.  He’s extremely agile, tenacious, and downright vicious.

No?  This is a very bizarre set of questions.  Clearly someone had no ideas when it comes to ‘V’.

Possibly, when eating too much unfamiliar food.

Not very good, but Blakk will sit with them and provide company.

Warmth and physical contact.

Not exactly a very relevant question. XD

Generally something smooth and instrumental, like Classical.

Probably a few, or anything sung by a certain Alderaanian.

Just one favorite singer. So far.

Blakk can actually sing reasonably well, he’s a tenor.

Y: You1. how old were you when you created them?

Uhhh I do a terrible job of tracking what I did when.  Just about the time I started SWTOR, I created Blakk.

2. what inspired you to create them?

Blakk is the what-if Imperial universe version of my Jedi Knight Zakku’an.  The “what-if” brainstorming determined how his personality changed, and his appearance is the result of what I liked when changing Zak’s appearance with the character creator. XD

3. were they different when they were first created?

As Zak, he was very different.  More optimistic, friendly, and light-hearted.

4. do you enjoy writing them more than other characters?

Yes!

5. what’s your favorite thing about them?

Everything, especially how he has a chronic, “dig himself into deeper and deeper holes” problem. XD

Z: Zebra1. what’s their favorite animal?

He hates animals. Wolves.

2. do they like animals?

Not generally.  Although one day he will end up with a varactyl named Featherhead, an akk dog he will be Force-bonded to, and a pack of miniature blurrgs named after his friends. 8)

Neither? Both?

4. what’s their dream pet?

Since he’s never wanted a pet, he doesn’t have one.
