I think I should probably apologize for my reaction to GrandFest. I did not have a good time because of extenuating circumstances.
I was already fearful that Team Past would win because I saw so many twitch streamers and YouTubers promoting this theory that winning would result in potential lore of the Great Turf War. And that felt deceptive and misleading because it was based on NOTHING.
I don’t like it when people mislead large groups of fans into believing something because I’ve seen this happen time and time again and it ALWAYS ends in resentment and people bemoaning “wasted potential.”
So I was already going into the fest with trepidation.
Then I had to go to the ER on the first day.
I missed the entire first day of playing. And because I didn’t know you’d be able to re-visit Grand Fest after it was over I was getting stressed out over this fear of missing this huge event.
I spent the majority of Saturday recovering from my ER visit, where I was only able to play a handful of matches. And while I did manage to win a 100x and a 10x battle for Team Present, I was so distracted and out of it that I had a miserable time playing the other matches.
Then on the final day I had something come up unexpectedly and I missed my chance to play in the morning… and then to add insult to injury my internet cut out for the final hour. I barely had a chance to play 3 matches that day before it was all over.
And then it was a Team Past sweep.
Despite Team Present being the most popular team, Team Past just DOMINATED the entire event. Poor Team Future got NOTHING. I think seeing that Future got nothin made it feel even worse. Like it was rigged or that Twitch streamer/YouTuber talk about wanting more lore caused Team Past to just kick our asses.
It was just bad experience after bad experience piling on top of me. And it sucked because I loved the Grand Fest hub. It was AMAZING to have so many songs being performed each with their own dance choreography. To have the change of outfits at night. To see the event become even more spectacular. And then to see the calming aftermath.
I WANTED to enjoy this to the fullest. But because of dumb circumstances I wasn’t able to fully appreciate it or contribute much. And that left me bitter and angry and resentful.
I’ve gone back and deleted most of my initial reactions to Team Past winning and the end of Grand Fest. But I just felt like I needed to get this off my chest. I’m so sorry for being a buzzkill and being so rude to everyone after it ended.
I think I just needed some time to process it all. Being able to go back to Grand Fest whenever I want thanks to amiibo definitely helped. Like I said in another post, I really wish I had known that would be an option because it would’ve lessened the pressure I was putting myself under to enjoy this timed event. At least now I can take my time and roam around and just appreciate the magnitude of this event.
I’m still annoyed Team Past won, but it is what it is. I have faith in Nintendo and the Splatoon dev team to come up with something awesome one way or another.

damn shiver broke my splatfest loss streak. i thought me joining her team would make her lose
there goes my dream of losing every splatfest this game, that would've been funny. not like you need that many snails anyway, they're less important than they were in s2 (since you only really need them to add slots to story/amiibo gear)
also this is the first time i played to ruler +1. maybe not worth staying up later to do that. i ended up playing some regular turf in the second half (when i usually just do tricolor) to try to get more 10x battles for the badges, so i made up for that by doing extra tricolor after i hit ruler and i got far enough into it that i decided to fill the bar again
(i got a third 10x btw, so i got the deep cut badges. didn't win it--we were ahead and then they turned it around in the last few seconds--i only won one of the three i got, so i have to win 9 more to get the gold ones)
won almost all my tricolor battles, i only lost a couple mirror matches and a couple of my very last non-mirror ones when i was super tired and just wanted to reach +1 and sleep (i caught myself making so many stupid mistakes so i'm blaming the losses on that)
overall i did win a ton. adding up what splatnet shows with the screenshots i took before they got cut off (subtracting mirror matches), it was 40-18.
though i also lost a 100x (to big man) and two out of three 10x (to frye and big man each, with the one i won being against frye) so i've effectively contributed 49 wins and 135 losses. 13-3 of that was tricolor though, which doesnt get multiplier battles so i guess i did have a positive impact on shiver winning that category. i wish tricolor was available more often than just splatfest, it's such a fun mode

Hmm so here's how Splatfest went as someone who played a fairly high amount of matches on 🍓:
•Got 2 100x matches, 0 333x 0 Tricolor, probably around 15 10x? Won most of the 10x and 1/2 of the 100x
• Would say the match rate against Vanilla and Mint Choco was around 70/30. I fought Vanilla way more than Mint.
•Despite the lower match rate, lost more often to Mint than Vanilla. They had the whole map shaking fr
•Never matched against so many Big Swigs in my life until now, it was fun to see a lesser used roller out there
•Definitely had some not fun matches but overall the teams of randos (at least on 🍓) were very cool and supportive to play with
Hope you all had fun. Congrats to Vanilla and Mint!
#frye I don't even like strawberry ice cream but I did my best#strawberry milkshakes do slap however#own post#splatoon#splatfest#splatoon 3

I’d like to request hc’s of the Brothers and Diavolo reacting to an MC that’s so cute, she could pass off as a doll. If she stands perfectly still, she could pass off as a full sized doll until she moves again. She has adorable doe eyes, wears cute clothes (Lolita fashion or just has an anime girl style), and even makes cute desserts. If the usual MC was weak and frail to them already, Doll!MC seems so dainty, precious, and fragile; these guys would ban paper if she ever got a paper cut.
Oooooo this is really interesting! I can just imagine Doll!MC just making everyone so scared every time she moves because they could probably hurt themselves just bumping into a wall because they look so fragile lol. These were short, so hope you enjoy!
Update: here’s part 2 with the other Undateables!
The Brothers and Diavolo Reacting to Doll!MC
Lucifer
...maybe he made a mistake in picking you for the exchange program after all
You just look so delicate, and just so pure.
You have definitely made cute little snacks and brought it to him while he locked himself in the office with paperwork
He lowkey highkey likes it no matter how he brushes it off with the usual thanks. Keep doing it, MC, he really appreciates it
When you get in trouble and he gives you the usual lectures, he can’t look into your eyes for long
Geez, he already can’t stay mad at you for long but now he can just feel his resolve cracking
If you get hurt oh Diavolo prepare for helicopter parent Lucifer
As soon as you accidently cut yourself in the kitchen (it would be the tiniest cut, barely noticeable), you’re no longer allowed in the kitchen unsupervised and can’t handle anything with a sharp end (whether its a butter knife or kid proof scissors that would be safe for Luke to use unsupervised)
“Let me do it for you, I don’t want you to get hurt.”
“Lucifer, thank you but I’ll be okay. It’s just a frosting spatula it’s not sharp-”
Will punish his brothers 10x worse and demons 100x more if he finds out you got hurt (doesn’t matter what the injury is, could be so much as a paper cut there will be hell to pay)
Constantly checks on you when he can’t see you in person
Handles you so lightly that you barely feel his touch
Move over Belphie, you’re the baby of the house now
Mammon
Protective x100000
Is still tsudere around you, but doesn’t insult you as much
Who are you kidding as soon as he looks into your cute doe eyes, he forgets what he’s saying
Complains about having to do stuff for you but doesn’t mind at all really. He loves it because it feels like you’re depending on him, and that makes him feel worth something.
“C’mon human, let the Great Mammon carry your books! You’re gonna hurt yourself and I don’t feel like hearing Lucifer’s mouth today!”
It was just your planner and a small recipe book that Luke gave you, and it weighed less than 10 pounds but okay. You don’t complain either when you see that he genuinely wants to help and do these things
Basically your loud guard dog and secret service agent rolled into one
He’s gotten into trouble more than once for “protecting you”. A student barely bumped your shoulder and Mammon already tackled him. Lucifer was not pleased (but he secretly understood)
He can’t help it that you’re weak and surrounded by hungry demons! It’s a pain to go through this much effort to just protect you, since you look so helpless
MC he’s just worried that you easily break if a demon so much as breathes on you but he likes that he can protect you because he knows that he can keep you safe. You’re just too cute and sweet okay??
Also stand in his room after watching a horror movie to freak him out and he’ll be sounding like Mariah Carey lmao
Leviathan
RURI-CHAN IS THAT YOU??!
Is for sure having an otaku/weaboo freakout moment
You blend in with figurines so well, every time you come into his room he asks you to stand next to them so he can feel that his collection is complete
He does it sometimes when he streams so people can think he has a rare limited-edition life sized doll that they can’t get. Makes him feel superior
DRESSING YOU UP IN COSPLAY 100%
You’re like an anime character but in real life and he does not know how to handle it
Can’t stare into your eyes, it makes them too flustered because he’s used to seeing it in his otome games and not from an actual person that he likes
Who needs maid cafes when he has you? You even dress and make anime themed desserts (once he built up the courage to ask you to make it for him)
Has to calm his beating heart every time he talks to you, you’re too precious for him MC!
Your like his very own idol, minus the singing and dancing. However, if you can sing and dance....
Levi.exe has stopped working
Satan
Thought you were a real doll until you introduced yourself
He really thought that someone brought you to life Pinocchio style
You looked like a princess from the many stories that he read, and he was smitten
Treated you so graceful and elegant like until he had his rage moments, which he told you to stay far, far, far away from him until he calmed down completely
Secretly placed a hex on you to where if someone tried to attack you or touch you with harmful intentions, they would be somehow be subjected to looking at their worst fear
You were wondering why that random stranger was just staring wide at you with extensive terror, but then you saw Satan grinning, so you left it alone. You thought it was just some weird demon thing
Loved when you made him cat-themed desserts
If you wore cat ears while doing it, he will turn extremely red
If you meow for him, he won’t know how to handle himself
Asmodeus
You are just the cutest thing he has ever laid his eyes on!!
Besides from himself of course, don’t get it twisted he’s still #1
He has most definitely had more than one photoshoot done with you both. And you guys have been trending on the Devilgram a couple of times already
Really you guys trend at least twice a month, and his fans love you!
They always ask where he got the doll from but he always laughs and says that “it’s a secret”
Imagine their shock when they see you walking and talking at RAD, some are amazed and some are downright scared
Fashion shows!
He lives for dressing you up in cute clothes. Your style already suited you and he had great tastes so the new outfits he got you were just *chef’s kiss*
The cute little desserts that you made for him, he always posted it on the Devilgram before he ate it. They were just so cute MC and he couldn’t not show his fans!
Is the most careful brother when it comes to keeping you out of danger. He refused to let his body or skin damaged, and he wasn’t about to let it happen to you either! You are both way too dainty and fragile to let anything happen
Also spa days and self-care nights weekly!
You’re the perfect match made just for him MC
He finally has someone that can understand his struggle of being beautiful, bless you MC
Beelzebub
Soft boy is scared of touching you :(
He towers over you, and he’s scared to even be near you
It takes some time, but he starts to warm up to you
Is always gentle with you, no matter the scenario
Holding hands? He is hardly gripping your hand, said hand fitting loosely in his
Getting hugs? He’s meagerly holding you, not wanting to crush you
You once complained to Beel that it wasn’t fair to get half done hugs (if you were hugging, you were getting a real hug, not a scared one).
He made you swear that if he was hurting you to let him know, so now you have your very own signal to use for him just in case
He was very tempted to wrap you in bubble wrap and just carry you around like that
He LOVES your sweets, even more than Luke’s and Barbatos’
No matter the size, he loves them, mainly because you made them and it was made with love, just for him
It always makes him feel so warm inside, and he doesn’t feel his appetite gnawing at him like usual
No one is dumb enough to try anything with you both in his presence and not, unless they want to end up either a: deep into the ground or b: into his stomach
You just make him feel all warm and fuzzy inside, and he just loves everything about you. He just loves you
Belphegor
Hm, you look cute
For a human
Acts like he doesn’t care, but you’ve caught him blushing before (he still does it too)
Won’t outright admit that you’re charming in your own little way, but he does in his sarcastic way like usual
“MC, you’re such a half-pint. You’re like my personal sized teddy bear.”
Has cuddled with you like you were his personal teddy bear (and still does, but you don’t complain at all)
Has a secret sweet tooth and eat your desserts whenever you make it just for him (and he doesn’t even share it with Beel, that monster)
Demons just have to look Belphie in the eyes, watch him flex his claws, and they all of a sudden forget about whatever they were planning. Good
He hates that you look so fragile, but at the same time he kinda likes it
You just look so soft, and you’re just so kind
It makes him feel like he’s protecting and caring for you, and that makes him feel calm and peaceful
Please make sure that he’s okay MC, he’s scared that he’s gonna mess up again
Diavolo
The Prince of Hell is both surprised and pleased at your appearance
Do all humans look this charming or is it just you??
If someone as soft as you can survive living and going to school with demons, then this is great
Knew that you weren’t a doll, but still liked to admire you like one
Has asked more than once for pictures, you are just too enchanting!
Wants to have a portrait painted of you so he can hang it up in the castle
LOVES you baking for him! Loves when Barbatos does it too (even though it is kinda part of his job), but it feels different with you. It feels...domestic in a sense. Makes him feel like Diavolo, your friend and very interested in being your boyfriend, instead of Lord Diavolo, the prince that will be residing over Hell in the future
No one would be foolish enough to hurt you. If someone was, they wouldn’t even get the chance to lift a finger before they were directly dealing with him. Don’t take his kindness for weakness, he still is a demon after all, the future King of Hell to be exact
Was scared of touching you at first, but quickly grew out of it! He can handle his own strength, and you guys also have a signal to use just in case he does squeeze a little too tight
Will want to dress you up in royal clothes (if you were okay with it). Nothing is wrong with your current style, as a matter of fact it suits you! He basically just wants to play a fancy game of dress up/have a fashion show with royal clothing
Will take 100s of photos, no exaggeration
Asmo will be jealous, so be warned
Plus, he wants to know how his future lover/ruler would look in a crown so he can start taking measurements. You can never be too ready, right MC?

Okay how many tri color matches did some of you get because I only got one. My brother didn’t any. I got a 100x battle and a 10x battle but only 1 tri color. And I lost so I don’t understand why everyone was saying tri color is unfair.

I’ve reached Queen and, as expected, I played a lot better this time around!
...Unfortunately, though, just because I play well doesn’t mean I’ve been winning...remember, I can’t team carry. XD And...yeah, I lost a lot. But for once, I can say that most of the losses were not my fault, and that’s why they don’t sting as much.
It started off slowly, with a losing streak that consisted of TWO 10x matches....so, that sucked, and it ended with me and @toobadchadlytime leaving the lobby due to the two teammates we were stuck with not....well, pulling their weight. I normally HATE giving up on people like that, but enough was enough. And luckily, it did end up being the right choice.
I gained momentum, and I gained it HARD. So many great replay moments, and we were able to make up for one of the 10x losses by winning one more! (I was hoping to make up for both of them, but eh, wishful thinking...) And although the losses were still plentiful, I had games where I got 6 splats or more that happened to end in losses, so I can’t complain too bad! With the exception of one match (in which I got 8 splats, and my team was kicking butt for the vast majority of the game only to lose in the last five seconds by one percent), I’m not that salty!
That’s just how Normal mode treats me, and I’m used to it at this point. XD
Though, yeah, in the end, it doesn’t matter how hard I try....in Splatfest, it only matters if you win or lose, so I should be taking this more seriously, right? Eh, I don’t care! I’m having fun! XD
There were also NO mirror matches the entire time, and the selection of Shifty Stations I got to play on was pretty good! The one with the bouncy pads from Retro vs. Modern treated me pretty well despite it not being a favorite (and I got to witness a lot of opponents falling off edges), and the one with Rolonium is another one I’m happy to revisit.
My only complaint? While I really like this version of “Calimari Inkantation”, did it really have to be the ONLY song that plays anymore? I wanted more “Ink Me Up”, or at least SOME variety in songs....but that’s a nitpick!
I will be back! Still no 100x match, but I’m not giving up hope! Plus, it’d be a crime not to play any more....

First up are Eloise and Kate! Together they are interning at KHAAR World, a Fashion Design start-up with sustainability are the forefront of their work. Currently, Kate and Eloise are developing and making hand-woven and collaged textiles from recycled and scrap fabrics for an upcoming runway collection alongside a small team.
What is one of your favorite things about the workplace so far? The people! It's a small team which is nice so we work closely and collaboratively. It is also aesthetically a beautiful studio to be working in, it's clean and modern and is an organized wonderland of sourced scrap fabrics. Bonus points to the large-scale tapestry loom that was made for us to work on within the first week!
Favorite place to go to or order from for lunch? Unfortunately with the short amount of time for lunch we have been unable to try many of the places around us. Our go-to in the morning before work however is Starbies, which can we just add is 100x better than it is in New Zealand. Strawberry Oolong Ice tea is the best way to start the morning! The employees have now also learned our names which we aren't sure if that's something to be proud of but is very cute. We have also recently discovered a bagel place around the corner that is incredible! The plan is once the fashion show is over to have longer lunches and try a few of the other Vietnamese places nearby.
Anything else you want to add! Working with each other is a match made in heaven! Hand weaving on the same loom with someone is no easy task so being able to do it with someone that just gets you and the way your brain works makes the whole experience 10x better

SECRET MUSEUM
Secret Museum is an internet based space created by Push Gaming with 10-paylines. Highlights incorporate stacked images, secret images, free twists and a bet game. The RTP of this high unpredictability space goes from 96.56% to 97.04%, and its top award is worth 17,500x.
Presentation slot gacor terlengkap
Secret Museum is a drawing in 10-payline online opening that is blasting at the creases with extra highlights, including secret images, free twists, a bet include and stacked images. A great many bets are accessible, from .10 to 100 coins for each twist, so both hot shots and penny openings players can appreciate.
Topic And Graphics
What's perfect about the Mystery Museum opening demo is that it figures out how to join bunches of various subjects. From Ancient Egyptian pictographs to samurai protection and Greek folklore, this game comes stacked with a wide range of fascinating themes. In general, it has an extraordinary focus on it which truly attracts you when you turn the reels.
Secret Museum
Secret Museum RTP And Variance
The RTP (return to player) of Mystery Museum spaces from Push Gaming is 96.56%, which is somewhat higher than most openings these days which will generally go from 96% to 96.5%.
You can build the Mystery Museum RTP to 97.04% while utilizing the Power Gamble highlight.
It is likewise a high instability online opening, and that implies that you're probably going to land more liberal awards and offers a top payout worth over 17000x.
Instructions to Win
There are 10 paylines in the Mystery Museum space and winning mixes are made via landing at least three matching images on the equivalent payline. Lord Tut is the most liberal image in the game, granting an award of 500x for a five-of-a-sort mix.
Secret Museum Free Spins And Bonuses
The Mystery Stacks highlight is the first that you'll experience while turning the reels on Mystery Museum. At the point when at least three of these images show up, they will be prodded that they the completely cover their separate reels. Then, these stacked images will change into a similar occurrence of one image.
Typically, secret images are somewhat of an expendable element - in any case, it's different in Mystery Museum. Here, the mix of secret images, prods and stacked reels makes this a liberal reward.
Then, there's the Samurai Wild in the Mystery Museum space demo, which is both the wild and the dissipate image. Assuming you land at least three of them on the reels, you'll set off the free twists reward. The quantity of free twists you'll get relies upon the quantity of dissipates:
3 disperses for 8 free twists
4 disperses for 10 free twists
5 disperses for 12 free twists
During this reward, Mystery Stacks are as yet present. Be that as it may, they become much more liberal - as, they will stay on the reels for the total of the reward round.
There is likewise the Power Gamble highlight which is set off at whatever point you land a success of 2x, 5x, 10x, 25x or 50x. You can decide to either bet that success or gather it.
This is your standard bet game, where you pick from four face-down cards. On the off chance that the card shows a ✓, your award will be multiplied. On the off chance that it shows a x, you'll relinquish your success.
In the event that you figure out how to prevail upon 100x your stake in the free twists round, you can burn through 100x to retrigger the reward. The distinction will be banked. Thus, for instance, assuming that you won 200x, you can burn through 100x to get all the more free twists and keep the other 100x for yourself.
Secret Museum Review
Secret Museum is one more incredible expansion to Push Gaming's assortment of online spaces. With titles like Jammin Jars and Joker Troupe, this engineer is known for making creative games - so Mystery Museum is a tad of a takeoff since it has only 10 paylines.
Be that as it may, the special mix of secret images, stacked images, bet includes and free twists makes for an activity pressed gaming experience. Thus, in that capacity, our Mystery Museum survey strongly suggests giving this opening a twist.
This is an extremely fun internet based space, albeit the high unpredictability might leave you holding up some time before you can pack a major success. In any case, assuming that you're patient and figure out how to set off the free twists round, there is some extremely winning expected here.

People try to sell the weirdest shit on Craigslist. This is from 2006: it’s the upgraded model of the first laptop I ever owned. Somehow, this person managed to get Windows 10 running on it. And they’re asking $525 for it.
This is old enough hardware that I can barely give accurate performance comparison numbers to equivalently priced current hardware, since almost no one has done the same set of benchmarks on 2006 and 2018 devices. No one would even consider doing such a thing.
However, I cannot resist the call of making fun of ancient hardware (and, more usefully, trying to quantify the past 12 years of computer engineering). I cannot and I will not. It would be defying my nature.
The Acer Aspire 5 A517-51G-54GK is presently $500 on Newegg. Shipping is free. There is tax on top of that, but you are legally supposed to pay that tax if you buy something from Craigslist, so this arguably makes no difference. It is on sale, and in a few days this link may not say $500, but something similar will take its place. It’s just the way things work. Here’s how it stacks up:
Physical:
Battery: The Aspire 5, very broadly speaking, might net you 6 hours of light use on a charge. The M1710 lasted about 2 hours when it was brand-new... so I’m betting 12 years later it’ll die in a good 15 minutes.
Weight: The Aspire 5 weighs 6.6 pounds, three quarters the weight of the 8.8 pound M1710 (which, amusingly, “isn’t as bad as you might think” according to a review from when it launched). It’s also ~30% thinner, but neither is slim. Its power brick is also half the weight of the M1710’s, due to its much lower power requirements.
Trackpad: It’s about twice as large, by my estimation. Take my word for it, the Dell’s is absolutely tiny by 2018 standards. The physical buttons are nice, though.
Display: It’s not much different. The Aspire should have significantly better viewing angles, and I’m not sure how either’s color reproduction is, but the M1710 had a great display for its day.
Ports: The USB3 ports on the Aspire 5 are 10x faster than the USB2 ports on the M1710. The rest of the ports are, disappointingly, not much better than those of 12 years ago besides an SD card slot. And it has 0x the number of DVD burners, and no modem either.
Speed:
CPU: The most egregious shortcomings of the M1710 will be in the Core 2 Duo’s lack of hardware acceleration for specific tasks rather than raw performance. The one benchmark I could find, however, puts the Aspire’s i5 at just over double the performance of a 12-year-old (albeit top-of-the-line) chip: not that impressive. There’s a reason it’s relegated to super-budget devices. At least it draws less than half as much power.
GPU: The M1710’s lovingly-hand-installed Quadro FX 3500M was top-notch in its day, but it doesn’t support modern graphics APIs like DirectX 12. ...Or 11. ...Or 10. In the few relevant games it will play well, the Aspire 5’s last-year-vintage GT940MX probably outperforms it by 3-4x, but I couldn’t find anything apples-to-apples, or really even apples-to-a-fruit.
Storage: This one’s fun. The solid state drive in the Aspire 5 will do large file copies around 5x faster than a 2006-era spinning drive, but in random read/write scenarios like opening or installing programs, it’s a greater than 100x speedup. Obviously, that doesn’t make the system 100x faster, but it still removes the storage bottleneck in many common tasks.
Memory: The Aspire 5 ships with 2x the memory capacity of the upgraded-to-the-max M1710. I feel like memory capacity has stalled in the past decade, but I’d need to do more research to confirm that.
Wireless: Using naive theoretical comparisons, the Aspire’s 1x1 802.11AC solution is 8x faster and supports the much-less-congested 5GHz band.
So, conclusions?
First of all, >$500 is laughable for this ancient machine, 89% discount from the original MSRP notwithstanding. Even if we move down the price range of modern devices to roughly match it in speed and specs, there’s no compelling reason to buy a 9-pound completely unsupported device that’s barely capable of running a modern OS, let alone most programs.
But, honestly? I was expecting a bit more from 12 years of computer upgrades, somehow. Now, to be fair, we’re comparing a $4700 machine to a $500 one, and a modern $2500-$3000 device like the Aero 15X obliterates both of these devices in every possible respect.
Super rough M1210 / Aspire 5 / Aero 15X comparison:
Battery: 2 / 6 / 8.5 hours Weight: 8.8 / 6.6 / 4.6 pounds (note: the Aero 15X has a smaller display) Trackpad: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Display: 2 / 2 / 8 million pixels Ports: 0.48 / 5 / 10 gigabits per second CPU Singlethreaded: 1x / 2x / 3x relative perf CPU Multithreaded: 1x / 2x / 7x relative perf GPU: 1x / 4x / 25x Storage Sequential: 1x / 5x / 15x Storage Random: 1x / 100x / 700x Memory: 4GB / 8GB / 32GB Wireless: 1x / 8x / 16x relative perf
But... I don’t know! The idea that a 12-year-old device is useable at all caught me off guard. In some ways, that’s disappointing, but in other ways, it’s a good thing: the idea that society ought to be throwing out all of our not-particularly-recyclable electronics every couple of years isn’t a sustainable one.
In a way, I’m making fun of this seller, mostly for their asking price, but in another way I admire them: they kept a machine working and useable for 12 years. We need more of that.
Besides, the red is pretty unique, I guess.

Made it!! Y’know, when I saw that I had to earn 999 points, I thought it’d take longer than it did....I mean, I know that we earn more points per match as well, but that’s still such a big number, y’know? XD
After I reached Queen, I stayed to play a little longer (gee, I can’t imagine why) till my battery started dying, and while doing that, I found myself in a 10x battle! My first multiplier! Yeah, TOOK me long enough! Either I have bad luck, or they’re rare....I mean, I know 100x battles are rare, but I guess I thought 10x battles would come up more often.
Anyway! It was a tense match, and they had us on the ropes for a while, but we turned it around in the last 20-30 seconds and ended up winning! And, as you can see here, we got our names in the announcements! Special shoutout to SaltyboiXL, who gave us that final push. He finished with about 11 splats.
On top of that, I saw my picture in the Square! O__O Geez, it wasn’t THAT big a deal, was it!? It wasn’t a 100x battle, just a 10x! I’m flattered and all, and I took a screencap, but....Well, I imagine the picture changes pretty often, so I not many people will see it. XD
Anyway! Even though I find Pro easier than Normal, I will say that Normal can potentially give you more clout. Y’see, if you’re on one of the specially-named teams (Variety Quartet and Squid Society were the ones I was on the most, for example) and you win, you get a “synergy bonus”, and it’s a pretty big bonus, too! I believe it goes up the more specific the name is. Like, once, I was up against a team consisting of four female Inklings all wielding a different pair of Dualies. They won. I can only IMAGINE how big their synergy bonus was.....XD
...I’m rambling. But, Splatfest is different now, so I’m trying to take it in, OK? I’ll get used to it, but for now, it’s all so new!
