Considering how little we know so far about the case,

Mirai's glare has been known to intimidate both heroes and villains alike. But right now, in the condition he's in... he somehow doubts his gaze, sharp as it is, is particularly intimidating to anyone right now.

Then again; the both of them here are in this room are in quite the state as it is. Beat-up and bruised, with scuffed clothing and bodies worn to the bone... it's not just Mirai who's in a bad way here, though he's probably got the worst of it overall. After all, Mirai... should undeniably be dead right now.

How and why he isn't is a question he's quite desperate for answers to - but it might have to wait until he's made sure to take care of the dangerous situation he's in. Still, it feels wrong... this place, himself, all of it - and it's only his training and instincts as a hero that are keeping him composed, even just barely.

"Overhaul... you're a stubborn man, aren't you...?" Just as much as the one talking, perhaps. "But somehow... I don't think you anticipated this."

There's genuine surprise in III's voice as he assesses the girl before him as if seeing her for the first time. He doesn't know much about her, outside of her being a classmate of Yuma's - and soon to be a classmate of his, if the transfer for Michael Arclight to Yuma's school goes through as planned.

But... she'd never seemed like anyone who was involved in the conflict between the Parallel Worlds. That's why, when he heard her say what she did, he was caught off-guard - and when he speaks again, there's a little urgency to his voice.

There's a small, humorless chuckle before she speaks, "When will everyone have every reason to call all my bluffs?" It's the feeling that's been with her since her knee injury, since she started overusing pain medications to cope with it. The feeling has only grown since ending up stuck in the wilderness. She's tried to keep it quiet, not wanting to draw anymore attention to any of it. But of, course, it was bound to overflow eventually. Now, after her knee gave out when trying to lug water back to the cabin, it's been waiting for anyone to voice it. "I mean, we all know I can't do anything out here, how long until people just say it?"

you know. i was feeling bad today, convinced myself i was exaggerating everything and they probably didn't actually hurt me at all, and maybe i was just trying to make up things to be upset about. but then they violated a small boundary that i've expressed over and over again to them and when i pointed it out, it sparked a tense convo, which escalated to them pulling the "because i'm stupid and can't do anything right." then they yelled at me to not help them when i brought a tupperware over for their leftovers. now they're in the car "just to sit," but they brought the keys, which is the kind of thing they do every time we argue (that is, a gesture that implies they're not safe or they're on the verge of doing something impulsive to hurt themself). so at the very least there's definitely emotional abuse happening. right? that's what that is. am i crazy?

RICK WAS HOPING THIS COULD BE A FRESH START FOR HIM, FOR HIS SON, HIS WHOLE CHOSEN FAMILY. alexandria was supposed to be the place that would bring back hope into their group, into his own heart, but, as seems always seem to, things have taken a turn for the worse. with negan and his followers overseeing everything that went on in rick's town, it made things very tense and difficult to find a stable life here. rick knew he couldn't do anything about it, though, at least... not yet anyway [ .... ]

BECAUSE OF THIS UNFORTUNATE SITUATION, HE'S DECIDED TO GO ON SUPPLY RUNS ON HIS OWN AND AVOIDED LETTING ANYONE JOIN HIM. outside of the gates were not as secure and safe as they felt to be since negan came around. rick tried to sneak away by quietly packing the trunk of the car with duffel bags and empty boxes to retrieve supplies from the town next door with only a blade as a weapon. he knew he could count on taking care of himself in hairy situations but what he didn't count on was having @carltongrimes spot him doing this. he sighed deeply to himself when he heard his son's voice from behind him before turning to face him with an exasperated expression. he didn't want to argue or fight. he just wanted to get this run over with. “ carl, you can't come with me. i need you here, keepin' an eye on things ” he explained, walking over and placing a gentle hand on his shoulder. “ you're the one i can count on when m' not 'round. ”

Senju doesn't know much about Ryusei Sato, but the one thing she does know - is that he's close to one Baji Keisuke. That alone is enough to catch her interest. While Senju herself suspects she's never someone Baji would call a childhood friend in the same way as he would Haruchiyo and Mikey, she still knew him in his childhood, and he was someone she always looked up to; always trying to reach...

She still thinks about him sometimes. And because of that, she's interested in the people that Baji calls his friends, too.

Obviously, that's not enough reason to just approach Ryusei out of the blue, but... she is curious about the rumors she's heard - of his connections to the gang Yotsuya Kaiden specifically. Apparently, he left that gang in order to join Toman in the past... and for some reason that even she can't quite identify - part of her wants to know why.

But running into him here really was a coincidence. And it's impulse that gets her to talk to him, approaching him boldly and asking with a glint in her eyes-

"Hey. You're Baji's friend, aren't you?"
