"what in the bloody hells am i supposed to do with this?" astarion's harsh words were betrayed by his baffled tone. the confusion came from a small feline friend that had decided to make its home on his shoulders. he thought cats to be regal creatures and had a soft spot for them but he had no intention of taking in a random stray.

"you ever thought about being a model? are you a model?" thanos posed the questions back to back. he had no brain to mouth filter to speak of so when he saw the stunning woman he had to ask. "if you're not you should be. i already know someone that would put you in a music video," he stated confidently.

The girl smiled and blushed before nudging Stu because he had failed to mention they already knew each other. "Oh, yeah. How do you know my name, man? Have we met before?" He asked, figuring it was likely his bad memory to blame for not remembering this guy.

"Very." Billy gave the other a soft smile before giving a wave. "Well, it's very nice to meet you Stu's cute friend." He replied. Glad that this city was full of folks that didn't really know him. If he had to deal with anyone else from his home, that remembered him, he might lose his shit.

"That'll do," he nodded in thanks. "I know it's only like this because of the season but the smell of sugar in the air reminds me of a place I haven't been to in a while." Law had actually lost track of time since he had last been in a place called Whole Cake Island but the smell of sugar always reminded him of that candy coated nightmare.

Shanks recognized Law. Didn't know him all that well but he remembered him. "You can get some mulled wine. Has some sugar but it's quite tart." He looked at his mug then back at law. It wasn't his favorite but he didn't hate it.

"Great! You wannna redeem that favor now? I could use a beer after all this." He stamped out the remainder of his cigarette and patted his pocket to double check that he still had his wallet. The ice pack helped with the swelling but he knew a nice buzz would help even more with the pain.

"Yeah, I'm an elementary school gym teacher and basketball coach." tj admitted with a nod. "Hey, of course. You don't have to offer anything in return but you know, I'm never one to turn down a free beer or two." He chuckled.

He passed over one drink before opening his own and taking a sip. "Cousins? I don't think I've heard of that place," he admitted.

“You do have good taste.” Taylor mused reaching a hand out for the drink. “I used to drink a ton of these back in cousins.”

"totally. i'll save a spot for you in my apocalypse crew," he joked. "oh, i mean, there's online courses but a remake of twenty one jump street would also be cool to see," he teased, hoping the other would get his sense of humor.

"I think that is a good thing, when the world is ending you might be the one to stick with to survive." wade pointed out. "no? i feel like i'm way too old to go back to high school. i'd look like the kids from glee."

"yes. for tv shows mostly but i did recently get a minor role in a big movie. if you're into comedies you might have seen it," he explained. ben considered himself lucky to have had stable work since he got his first role even if it was very hit or miss whether or not he got recognized for his work. fame was secondary to the love he had for his job. "and it's nice to meet you too, mal. i hope i'm not keeping you from anything important?"

(¸.• ♛ → "oh, well, it´s nice to meet you, ben." it was strange to say those words because she didn't know how to react knowing that they knew each other, know it was different though, he didn't remember her. "i'm mal."she introduced herself. "your lines? you are...an actor?" now that was new.

"Are you talking about the pink minions?" Thanos questioned the other man in an uncharacteristically subdued tone. The whole ordeal was still a blur in his head but he had vivid memories of certain incidents here and there. The guys in pink jumpsuits stood out to him the most since they were usually the brightest thing in the room aside from his own purple hair. "Haven't seen them here," he finally answered casually.

Jun-Ho was still getting used to this place. He never thought about coming to America. Joining the police force seemed the right thing to do and he made detective here too. There was a nagging at the back of his mind that the games were still happening. "This is maybe an odd question but... have there been rumors of sketchy individuals playing children's games and gambling?" He needed to know.

"That's where you have to learn to find a sense of humor in it all," he drawled with a slight smirk. "They become quite lively when not taken seriously."

being considered a monster himself, zavier should know to approach with caution but he was hardly recognized as a zombie among the humans of this city. his green hair and pale complexion were seen as a fashion choice that was tame in comparison to other alternative styles he had witnessed.

shaking his head, he grounded himself on the gore in front of him which neither repulsed or appealed to him. he was more curious about the talking chainsaw guy. "is it safe to be here?" he asked cautiously, ready to sprint if this terrifying creature decided to slay him next.

the deafening sound of a chainsaw is whirling through the air, the scent of blood heavy in the air. when denji came here, he had finally believed he was free from devils and monsters and people who wanted him dead; and he was wrong. he was pulled here out of no where and it irked him. he had just fought another enemy, a devil who’s had found it’s way into the city… looking normal but malicious and bloodthirsty nonetheless. blood dripped from the long, shiny, metal saw that protruded out of his forehead and from his monstrous looking face.

whenever he’d pull that starter cord, there was always blood but he’d grown accustomed and numb to the vibration and pain. his glowing yellow-orange eyes glancing over the…. body. “ugly piece of shit….” his voice came out rough, and metallic. well, because not only did chainsaw protrude from his body, his face turned into the body of a chainsaw. so yeah. his head is a literal chainsaw with eyes and long, sharp teeth. he looked around the dirty alleyway, where he was seemingly alone except for the blood spilt over the pavement and trash everywhere. he wouldn’t go into detail about the guts spilled…

"I'm a little embarrassed now that I know what was going on but I can't deny that acting was pretty fun. The only thing is I don't know if I'll have time for it with my day job," he explained.

Barry handed over the drink, raising a brow in awe at the mention of his studies. "No, I wish they were that easy to come by. I would have ten already," he joked. "What subjects are you studying?"

James looked up when he heard the voice. "Oh that's alright. I have—" he went to lift his travel mug of coffee up, only to realise it was empty. "Actually that would be great, thanks. I'll take the Dr Pepper. My girlfriend always says I need to look after myself more when I'm studying, but a doctorate isn't going to get itself, is it?"

Stu scratched the back of his head, taking longer than necessary to ponder the question. "Making a movie, I guess." He shrugged, knowing that did not explain much.

"So gimme a little help here. Can you explain to me what the hell you were doing?" Jumin asked the other.

"eh, i've seen weirder but weird is a good thing in my book. some people go crazy with tattoos and piercings. have you heard of the guy that calls himself a lizard man?" adam asked earnestly, he hoped the other man knew he was not making fun of him. "but it's cool that you were born with it. i've always wanted contacts that give the same effect but i heard they can be super hard to see out of so i figured it was safer for my clumsy ass to sacrifice that dream."

an accident … funny, maybe in some cosmic way it was an accident. it’s not like they chose the life. to be born with the black eye, a mark of his magic. kell shakes his head. “no, born with it actually. it’s unusual, i know.” at least that part is true back home.

Law listened stoically to her passionate speech. He had no idea why they were putting so much effort into this but his competitive nature was getting the better of him. He knew he needed to go along with her plan of action or he would definitely be the reason they lost.

"Fine. Let's do both. We'll see what's close by and use snow to fill in the rest." He finally relaxed, trying to offer a friendly smile as foreign as it felt on his lips. "Well shaped rocks might add something to it also.

"Well, no need to be so critical." Tracy huffs as she continues her vigorous attempts to shape the vertically challenged, mildly lopsided snowman. "Not everything has to go along with what's been done before, you know. If we just follow along with what everyone else is doing, the judges will never notice us!"

"This is innovation, dear friend," Tracy stated with a confident grin as she readjusted the snowman's nose; a long wooden stick gracelessly shaved down using a Swiss knife. "Just trust the process! I'm sure that by the time we're finished, the judges will be wowed by the originality of our product!"

"Which reminds me," Tracy stood up from where she had been kneeling, patting the dirt and snow off her pants before looking to her partner. "What are we thinking for our top hat? Sticks or snow? Sticks would probably be easier to work with, but snow also works, plus, we won't have to look around for it."
