hi!!! i just saw you had a matchup event and i would like to enter if its still open 👉🏾👈🏾
i typically go by nikki online!! i’m pan so i don’t really have a preference for gender. i would like to be matched with jjk or demon slayer charas!!
i game, draw (i’m starting an art account and hoping to sell works… soonish?), and watch twitch streams literally daily. i’m a very big nerd!!! openly, too. there’s not much i don’t like other than basic boundaries and being overstimulated.
wait. i hate people that lie. for whatever reason!! i’m very honest (a lawful good 😔) and empathetic to a fault at times. with that being said i find it easier to make friends than most, usually from doing something equally stupid and kind for people. very family and close friend oriented, but not so much that i think its a priority in relationships. (though i don’t want children and probably will never)
i think i’m very into quality time and acts of service as love languages. my partner also has to be okay with physical touch… i get cuteness aggression so much. i don’t have many turn offs but i do want some sort of open communication and to feel safe. my partner should also be my best friend!!
and uhhh. most things don’t make me cry? i’m typically the strong person that people look to to keep them stable in tough or situations. though i am very open about my struggles with depression and anxiety, i think i’m often seen as pretty cheerful and always laughing LOL
also omg i love cats….. so sad my family is afraid of them :(
hopefully this is not too long… i’m so sorry if it is. but ty for reading and doing a matchup event!!!
Nanami Kento!
Nanami's voice is ragged against your mouth. "If I get my hands on you, really, honestly get my hands on you, I don't know if I'll be able to stop. You know he isn't lying. You know it in your soul. That's why you trust him with your body. "So stop being so honorable Nanami and touch me."
It was tempting to pair you with a more "nerdy" character but I see Nanami fulfilling and completing you really well
Most of your dates with Nanami would involve quiet, meaningful activities at home. He appreciates your artistic side, so evenings might be spent with you drawing or even watching twitch streams while he reads or works quietly beside you, both enjoying the comfortable silence.
Nanami's love language leans towards acts of service, much like your own. He would likely show his affection through practical gestures, perhaps organizing your art supplies or upgrading your computer setup for gaming and streaming, appreciating how these things bring you joy.
With both of you valuing honesty, conversations would be refreshingly straightforward. Nanami's blunt nature complements your own directness, leading to a relationship grounded in trust and open communication.
Nanami def respects boundaries and personal time, aligning well with your need for space when overstimulated. He understands the importance of having time apart to engage in individual interests, which only strengthens your relationship.
He might not be the type to overtly celebrate every little achievement, but Nanami would make a point to acknowledge and celebrate milestones in your art career or personal projects, understanding the significance of these moments to you.
Nanami is the definition of stable, he is honestly someone you can rely on in your worst times. Trust him and he will trust you
True to his word, Nanami clocks out at six and keeps work at work, ensuring that your time together is undisturbed by outside responsibilities, which means uninterrupted date nights and more focused attention on each other. Probably says smth like “sorry gotta go see my girlfriend.” And just dips in the middle of a fight.
NANAMI IS A SERVICE DOM this is canon I’m sure.
I put his libido at a 6/10 which probably isn’t as high as yours (as you mentioned) but like I said he is a service dom so would definitely help you out
Definitely open to bondage
Hope you enjoyed!

Third Eye Opening Techniques
Hi all,
This post is to document methods that I personally use to astral project and do magic of the sort. These things might not work for you. If you think that the information in this post is incorrect, I would love to discuss your methods. But please keep in mind that I am not a professional and I am just sharing the methods that have worked well for me. I just want to have something to link to every time someone asks me this lol.
Preparation
Ensure that you are somewhere comfortable. A familiar place that you can be still in for a long time. Ensure that your body is in a position that it can maintain for a long time.
If you have access to a bath, or you can be outside and lay with your body flat to the earth, it would may benefit you to utilize that space. If you have access to sand or a place where your body can be submerged with dirt, that would also be good.
THC and mushrooms can make this process easier. Use at your own discretion. I use other tools like sigils, scrying mirrors, bells, incense, crystals etc. in conjunction with these methods. Do what works for you. And of course, always use protection.
Safety
You body is your safety. At all points throughout this ritual, you should be able to return to your body. Maintain awareness of your body.
You can listen to music in some headphones. This will help you better recognize your inner environment. As you do, try to mentally step back from your exterior environment and reside in your head for a little bit. Close your eyes if you have to. Your mind is a space. Occupy it completely.
Hear the music and feel it bounce around your brain between your ears, within your skull.
While you’re in this place with the music, and looking into the darkness in your eyelids, feel yourself mentally step back. Focus on being close to yourself. Behind the tip of your nose, behind your cheeks, behind your eyes, until you’re sitting in a place right in the middle. This is your point 0. If you had no body at all, this is all that would remain of you.
If you work with deities this is a good place to invoke them from.
(Side note: If you’re trying to have better energy awareness and are trying to see energy on people and objects or just do energy work then do this without closing your eyes. The energy will often become easier to see with practice, this doesn’t require the full ascent. In this case you’re accessing your 1st consciousness that can observe energy and frequencies)
Find your centre of energy. It exists in your body somewhere. It may be in your head, it may be in your stomach, it may be in your chest. Wherever it is, focus on it and feel it. (My energy is in my stomach, so I lock your fingers together and rest my hands to my solar plexus.) What color is it? Does it burn hot or cold? Is it electric or combustive? Is it calm or energetic?
You are going to breathe, and as you do you are going to count up from one. With each full breath, pull your energy outwards from its centre, and feel it envelope your whole body. Imagine you’re fanning a fire, swelling larger and hotter with each deep breath.
It should completely absorb you. As it expands across your body, make note of the energy in each section of your body. Be hyper aware of every single part of your body. Your heart beat, the blood coursing through your veins. The vibration of your muscles, the acid in your stomach. The wax in your ears. **This is your body.** Solid and material. Flesh and bone. You are putting your body on energetic lockdown so it is not abandoned and vulnerable while you’re busy in the other plane. **Remember that this is your body.** If you end up going on a great journey in your astral plane, you don’t want to forget who you are.
Take it a step further, and allow your energy to fill the entire space or room that you are occupying. If you’re in the bath let your energy leak into the water. If you’re outside, feel your energy blend into the earth. As aware of you are of your body, be aware of your surroundings in 360 degrees. This is your space. Remember where it is.
How many breaths did it take you to get to this point? Remember that number. It usually takes me 7.
Methods
Now’s the hard part. I have two main methods.
1. A point in space, (no particular destination. Practice) In a similar way to how you stepped back in the darkness of your eyelids and found your point 0, you are now going to move forward into the darkness. As you move into the darkness of your mind, literally continue to search outwards to a single point in the very centre of your (non)vision. Continue to travel forwards. As you do, You won’t notice it, but the music that you were listening to will begin to fade, and you will no longer really hear it. You are going to get to a point of almost being asleep, but not quite. You are in your body, but you are no longer here. You may start to feel like you’re floating, or sinking. You will lose your sense of direction and may even begin to feel like you are upside down.
Do not succumb to the jitters that come with this part. You may automatically get a primal fight or flight response, in a similar way to how you feel when you’re falling. Your brain may even react by jolting you out of it. This is the reflex that will make you fail 9/10. It gives you a very similar tingle as the you get when you think about the nothingness of death. Not being here anymore. You may start to feel movement, like waves or a rocking back-and-forth. You may see lights or see the darkness in your mind start to warp or shift around. This is the assent. Maintain and ride it. Let it carry you. Continue moving forward through it.
Where are you?
Start with your feet. Feel the ground around you. Where did you end up? Is it grass? Tile? Dirt? Is it cold or warm? Are you wearing shoes or are you barefoot?
Open your eyes, but of course you won’t really open your eyes, because you’re paralyzed. But you will see something.
You may see nature, you may be inside a building, that entirely depends on your astral journey. I often end up in the desert. You may see someone. You will have taken your body with you, and you will experience this world with as much vividness as the real world. You can smell the air, you can feel the wind. You can taste, and see. You can feel pain, so be careful. Explore this world.
If you have already astral projected or done something of the sorts before, then you may already have certain destinations in mind. While at your point 0, you may not be compelled to step forward into the darkness. Rather, you can focus on a specific demand that will lead you into the next plane. I like to repeat “I find myself on the other side”. As you repeat this demand, you will feel yourself fall into it. Remember yourself on the other side. Remember that you exist in all places, you just need to wake up there. As you open your eyes, you will begin to see that place in absolute vividness.
You are now in a parallel position to your familiar world. Your body and your familiar world is in front of you, the astral projected world is behind you (these directions are subjective, it may be your left and right or something of the sort). You are in the centre, aware of both, but putting your efforts into the astral world. You have two bodies, your host body, and your astral body. They are connected through your point 0.
How many deep breaths did it take you to completely envelop your body in your energy?
When you wish to return to your body, and break the trance, you will feel yourself return to your point 0. You will count backwards from this number, and feel yourself regain total connection with this world. Remember who you are, your name, your age, where you were born. Now take that many deep breaths again. Ensure that you have a secure grip on this world, no floatyness or strange motions. This is important. Not properly securing yourself can lead to astral bleeding.
You should have been aware of your body this entire time while it was dormant. Start from your toes again and move them slowly and proceed upwards. Feel the way the movement affects the world. Feel the air that blankets your body. Remember the weight of gravity. You are here.
This is probably pretty basic stuff to most people. Do you use a method similar to this? If you tried this out for the first time I’d love to hear your stories about your experience!
Thanks for reading. Blessings. 🖤🖤

Completed watching Season 1 of Kimi no todoke
And I gotta tell you
The welling up of emotions that I felt from watching this anime, it was like, when I'm on a rollercoaster and it's going so so so fast and I feel like my heart's gonna burst away, it gave me that kinda feeling.
It made me smile and root for our girl Kuronuma.
And my favourite part within this anime is when something so obvious is pointed out, but the thing is you only get it when it's pointed out, for eg : when Kuronuma understands that by talking to them, her feelings will reach them, so she has to talk to them to make the misunderstandings go away
Her understanding of these things, slowly and steadily, makes me realise how in life, I usually don't communicate my feelings to people
It's easier to say I'm bad at expressing gratitude, because when someone does something for me, I feel an overwhelming sense of a positive emotion, and it's difficult for me to express that feeling by just thanking someone in an awkward stature, so I usually don't say anything. But it's important for me to express it, and learn to express things properly, not just gratitude, but also general communication. I always feel like I'm either intimidating or invisible, and people don't approach me, but I've never taken a part to improve that. So i'mma do that, and I'm also going to be a better person, I'm going to keep driving towards it.
My point was, that sometimes it's good to have a reminder of the most obvious things, so I'm here to remind anyone who's reading this, that reach out to people, and communicate your feelings. If there's a misunderstanding, talk to someone and they'll understand. Don't assume and sit with silence and solace. Express. And keep on expressing.
I also like how when Kurumi likes Shota and does what she does, the way Sawako deals with it, I have so much genuine respect and admiration for her honesty and the way she dealt with it, I know the character's portrayal is of trusting everyone and such, but sometimes I like it. I wish the real world could be such that we could trust people on their words and not question if they meant it or not. But yes, I loved the way Sawako was honest about not being able to support her rather than going along with it. It felt good. I also loved that she never saw her as an enemy, but rather just someone who likes the person she likes too, yes, she envied her a little, but she never really carried any hate. And it was just really sweet.
I also love how Sawako slowly unravels her feelings, sometimes I think things are rushed within the real world and the modern world is all about fast pacing, but the way Sawako ensures her feelings, and if she feels this way about Shota or everyone else, and her small steps towards figuring her own emotions out, and her being honest about her feelings and not brushing them off. I find that extremely beautiful. These feelings that she gave time and patience to understand, and nourish, I feel like it's what we should all be doing.
I also loved the part where Kuronuma looks up the term Rival in the dictionary and it translates to 'Likable Foe'
I also love love loved the part of Chizu and Toru and Ryu, that whole episode where Toru comes by to visit Chizu because Ryu called him, and the way things process down and the bond, it was very sweet and heartwarming.
And Shota as a character is just really really warm, and his nature, is very very kind. Manifesting a person like him for all of us, because sometimes all you need, is a person like him to give you a supportive push towards acceptance and understanding. A little support comes a long way, and I hope we can be that person and have such people in our lives.
I want to see more of Ayane, SHE MAKES ME LAUGH TOO MUCH, and she's so smart. I love it. I want to see how her story unravels in Season 2
I also find Pin very funny lol. That part of Kurume, and the part where he's just normally sick but calls Kuronuma because he thinks she is an exorcist was WAY TOO FUNNY lol
I actually would've written this post after completing the whole anime but my heart can't take it fr, it's too much. I feel so many warm and happy emotions, I feel like it'll explode. So idk if I'll watch season 2 anytime soon. Heart feels too much you know?
I'm supposed to be completing this one long anime, but I've taken a smol break since a few things happened and I've been watching short anime because I don't want to watch that one when I'm feeling down. I'm feeling better now so maybe I'll start watching it again. But I guess I'm just a little not ready for me to complete that anime or reach it's ongoing schedule.

thanks to all the DATV posting I am slipping back into DA madness and thinking about Acien this morning, unable to fall back asleep, despite getting up at 5.20am on a sunday
TW: Suicide and self harm mentions in the context of a fictional character mentions of cheating
Acien is, like, for all intents and purposes a good person! he makes good choices for the benefit of many people, helps those in need without asking for anything in return, tries to get a grasp on people's true intentions and leave them better off than when he first arrive!
however, he is not a good man. his ability to trust and maintain the trust of other in interpersonal relationships is.... difficult. he finds himself unable to believe the people he loves and who love him are sincere, he tries to drive them away habitually for a long time, it takes him months of Zevran and Alistair teaming up to actually believe they love him. and then the second the party is split up, and Morrigan dips, that trust is erased. how could they love him?
his late teens and early adulthood are spent trying to fix the lives of others while he himself is stuck in a spiral of self-destruction that no one who knows him can help with, or knows how to cope with
he makes irrevocable mistakes in DA:A and almost ends his own life over them, the fact that he lived was (in his mind at the time) an accident of circumstance. that he successfully drove away one person who loved him (Alistair) was a victory in his mind, because now he can't hurt him even more
by the time DAI rolls around he's... not doing BETTER, but he's also spent a lot longer fixing interpersonal bonds and realizing how hurting someone intentionally doesn't save them any grief, despite what he was "taught"; and he's better at trusting and believing the people he loves when they say they love him, he's not forgiven for what he did but they come around to understanding why, and are able to all Actually trust each other again and then....
well then the conclave happens, Acien inserts himself in a situation that once more thrusts him into the limelight after defying death yet again and well
he backslides... "a little". he still has an easier time trusting people are being honest with him, but he can't handle the pressure that being the savior of the world AGAIN puts on his shoulders and there's two ways his story "ends"
in one of the Leliana catches him drinking and makes note of how strange it is in a letter to Zevran and Alistair and both of them show up within two weeks and immediately set about propping him up, getting him sober, and ensuring he Is Never Alone to make the choice he would have otherwise made
in the other ending.... Leliana never mentions it, or never catches him, and he's left to spiral and flounder with no one the wiser; Leliana wasn't with him when he was at his worst or best so she doesn't know just how bad he is until. He tracks down and confronts Solas. He's alone. He thinks "I can't so this, but if I do something drastic, maybe I can change his mind." and succeds where he failed in DA:A in a much more violent display than he'd tried back than.
the second one used to exist as the sole option for his ending scene lol. he was heavily based on a LOT of the internal problems I was having at the time I created him, and a lot of his temporary/permanent growth was only inserted YEARS LATER after I'd gotten help for myself
it's sad! he's a sad and tragic character! he's only 17 when he loses his best friend and way of life and is thrust into an environment where everyone looks to him to solve their problems; which isn't unusual for his life but the risk of failure is so much higher as well
also. this isn't me saying his family/clan ever hurt him intentionally, sometimes families don't know what they're doing to you and years down the line you mention something you learned and they go "what the fuck are you talking about? that's not what I meant by that at all!" and your sibling goes "that's not what I learned at all idk where you got that from", sometimes a family can be great but accidently hurt someone because they never check in on the ACTUAL things their child is taking away from things. Acien is very much like me in that case, and his family is MUCH kinder and much nicer, but he was always more sensitive and tender hearted than his siblings and cousins and friends and instead of learning to ask for more kindness, he internalized that hurting those you cared for and lying to them about how you were feeling were appropriate ways to maintain relationships (the gentle ribbing and teasing and boundary setting, but taken in the most literal and unflattering way possible) he does have a few Big Traumas from early in his life that set up his brain for this kind of thinking that no one ever caught/caught how it affected him
any way. I think he deserves to be happy and learn that he's allowed to communicate his needs and wants even (GASP) and Solas was never going to have the Revelation that Acien was aiming for lol ("if I kill myself violently in front of him he will realize that violence is wrong!" baby NO)
edit: realized I was very vague on what he did and that's bcus I spent an hour straight thinking about it and was like surely it'll be understood
he cheated on them with Anders
Zevran is ""okay"" With this (it affects his trust in Acient less) BECAUSE he's an assassin and ex-Crow, he's seen better people do worse and order others to so worse things in healthy states of mind, and Acien had always had an easier time communicating his problems to Zevran (because Alistair would try to comfort him too much, and reassure him he was a good person, which in turn made him feel worse); as well he's the one who notes that not once does Acien try to defend himself (Anders tries to defend him) and he finds a letter he'd never sent begging them to come visit
he offers to be a mediator (it takes years after the fact for either of them to learn Acien tried to kill himself a couple times before and after his affair) on the condition Acien get sober again and actually communicates with them instead of not sending them obvious distress signals, Acien has an easier time trusting this because it's an ultimatum and obviously means Zevran loves him for real (which is true, not Zevran loved him for real BEFORE as well)
after is when he finally opens up to Alistair, once Alistair is willing to sit down and talk (about a year given their respective jobs, time to heal, and travel) and finally admits a lot of his insecurities and Zevran shows Alistair the letter and while it does make Alistair feel worse and almost fully ruins any chance of reconciliation, it's the finally being honest without being self defacing (obviously reigning himself in (Zevran had discussed with him common manipulation tactics and Acien is trying his best)) that gives Alistair space to heal and understand and listen
Alistair still doesn't like leaving Acien alone, but needs must, and for a while around the conclave they had to and in the bad ending Alistair and Zevran are kept away by jobs and helping others because they assume Acien is Better Now because he hasn't had more then a Bad Week in over a year at thst point
idk if in the bad ending anyone ever finds out it wasn't Solas that killed him, which.... leaves some interesting implications seeing as Solas attacks but very intentionally leaves the Inquisitor alive HAHA any way
he was my vent oc and I made that very obvious in his storyline LOL
#daoc: Acien#daoc#i need to hook up my xbox 360 and get back in there#that or my new laptop needs to decide it can run dao past the first few origin scenes

Fame, Riches, and Music
Name: Nalanthar Arabana (He/Him/They/Them)
Race: Drow Half-Elf
Class: Bard (College of Valour)
Background: Entertainer
WARNING, SPOILERS AHEAD!
This will be the final post with Nalanthar for now because we finally got everyone caught up where we're about to take on Moonrise Towers. Continuing where we left off, Nalanthar got to see Ketheric Thorm for the first time and accepted the quest to find Balthazar and see what he's been up to. While exploring, we had that conversation with Araj, with Nalanthar agreeing to give up his own blood for a potion that's unique to him, but refusing to have the Drow force Astarion to drink hers. The pair have a conversation about this afterwards, but it looks like their love hasn't been solidified just yet, especially since I fucked up the whole relationship thing with Nalanthar lol.
We saved Wulbren and the Tieflings and sent them to Last Light, this time, we accompanied the escapees to the inn and part took in a routine check by the Harpers as they ensured that everyone, aside from Nalanthar and the crew, were cleared of parasites. This does make me curious of what would happen if we end up prisoner at Moonrise and escaped with everyone in tow before going to Last Light. Something to think about for next game ;).
After reuniting the remaining Tieflings with their lost friends and family and talking with Wulbren for a moment, we power walked to the mausoleum. There, we meet Raphael as he warns us about his rival, Yurgir, and promises to reveal the nature of Astarion's scars if we kill the guy. Upon entering the Gauntlet of Shar, with Shadowheart in tow this time, I decided to go the backdoor way to get that cool little cutscene moment with Balthazar. My main goal is to see what would happen this time around if I keep Balthy alive and have Shadowheart in the party.
After speaking with Balthazar, it was time to temple run our way through the trials of Shar. Upon meeting Yurgir, at first, I tried to Dominate Monster, or at least Planar Ally, the guy so that the combat would be easier. However, no matter how many attempts I made (save scumming is fun for some people), I couldn't get him under Nalanthar's control. So, I decided to simply go up and talk to the guy since Nalanthar is a curious individual and would be interested to hear what Yurgir had to say.
Despite Astarion being slightly frustrated that we didn't kill him outright, we did learn a few things. Yurgir was contracted by Raphael to kill the Dark Justiciars in this temple due to a song that he's forced to sing. When someone hears the song, they must die. With some careful dialogue picking and some baller persuasion rolls...I was able to tell the bastard to kill himself lmao. I honestly didn't even know that was a option with that guy! It was slightly sad because he had to kill his pet Displacer Beast friend, but also fuck that fucking pussy, I dreaded doing this fight with my other characters KNOWNING that I had to deal with that pussy. So good riddance.
After speedrunning through the temple to complete the other trials, we were able to reach Shar's inner sanctum. Like Pero, Nalanthar decided to eavesdrop on Shadowheart praying to Shar. Upon entering the Shadow Plane, Balthazar followed after us, and unlike Admaer who simply let the necromancer take the Nightsong back to Moonrise, Nalanthar decided to fight him right then and there due to the Nightsong being the primary source of Ketheric's power and possible weakness.
I tried my hand at killing Balthazar this way since the previous times I tried killing him, I kept using the barrel-mancy way out. Which, as I expressed before, is not my favorite way of handling combats because it feels meme-y to do so. But the mf is so strong that I couldn't help but go that route. And fuck was fighting him in the Shadow Plane hard. Fortunately, I was able to throw him off into the ether as Nalanthar used Telekinesis to yeet him.
Now without Balthazar being a distraction, it was now time to decide Shadowheart's fate. To spoil it, she's still alive lol. Both I and in-character can't seem to want to make the final decision to kill her. RP-wise, I like to think that Nalanthar was close to letting Shadowheart just kill the Nightsong, reluctantly so, but when the Nightsong decided to drop a lore bomb about Shadowheart, that's what changed his mind...Oh, and the fact that she might be the key they need to defeat Ketheric Thorm, of course.
After escaping the Shadow Plane, taking a long rest, and speaking with Raphael, we headed back to Last Light Inn. Firstly, before we continue, Nalanthar was the first to push the idea to Astarion that perhaps he could become an ascended vampire himself if they folly Cazador's plans; something the spawn takes great consideration of. Back at Last Light, we do attempt to confront Isobel about her name being part of a tomb we found at the Thorm crypt, but she chalks it up to coincidence. She then tells us to go to Moonrise Towers since the Harpers and Jaheria will be stationed over there to take the fight to Ketheric Thorm.
Upon arriving, Nalanthar was able to convince Jaheira to fight alongside him. Honestly, to see her filled with heroic spirit compared to how she was with Pero when the Harpers were dead filled my heart with joy. It once again made me feel a bit upset that I "fucked up" with Pero by allowing Isobel to be captured.
But now that everyone is at Moonrise, ready to take on Ketheric Thorm, we will raid the tower! Starting with Pero and the gang!

I have several potential recommendations depending on what you're looking for, how much you want to pay, and if you want or do not want to do any custom coding!
I use Squarespace because I find it easiest to use and I like how I can make my website look with it (link for reference), but it is also a bit expensive (my plan is somewhere around $17/mo) and I sometimes get frustrated that I'm pretty limited in how much custom coding I can do unless I want to shell out for a higher-tier plan. However, if you want a website that will look good without having to do any custom coding at all and you don't mind paying a bit, this is a great option.
I know a lot of people who use Wix, which IIRC has a free tier if you don't mind branding. I've tried Wix before and didn't really like it, personally; I don't like their builder and I don't like their pricing tiers. But I also know people who swear by Wix, so I think a lot of that is personal preference!
If you wanna keep it very cheap but still look professional, I really recommend getting a Carrd plus a custom domain—the Carrd pro plan plus a custom domain will probably run you around $30/year, which is still a bit of money but way less than Squarespace's $200/year. I can't think of any writers I know off the top of my head who use Carrd, but my podcaster friend @starplanes uses it for their website in a way that I think is really effective.
Wordpress is also extremely popular. Depending on whether you do Wordpress.org or Wordpress.com and depending on how many bells and whistles you need (and whether you want to be able to have a shop on your website or not), it can either be of comparable price to Squarespace or a fair bit cheaper. I've tried this before and found the website builder frustrating, but I do want to give it another go at some point, because I have so many friends who absolutely swear by it. Author Emily Thiede uses Wordpress for her website, and I believe my friends over at @hughousepods use it for the website for their podcast network. Also, if you're familiar with HTML and CSS, I believe there's a bunch of customization stuff you can do with Wordpress (though someone please chime in if I'm wrong lol).
If you're able to spend a little but not a lot, my personal recommendation is to get a free/cheap website (like Carrd) plus a custom domain—custom domains are pretty cheap, usually around $10-12 a year, and IMO it has several benefits: it looks more professional, it ensures nobody else will snag the URL you really want while you're building your career, and it's also just a bit easier to direct people to (especially in verbal conversations). Also, if you end up changing your website host at some point, you'll be able to keep the same URL and won't have to worry about people having outdated information (a particular concern for writers, whose work is often printed and thus can't be changed easily after the fact).
Hope this was helpful! Please feel free to message me if you have any questions or want more in-depth advice on anything :)
I need to seriously look into setting up a writing website soon. Any recommendations for getting started?

Any advice for playing embalmer?
Never embalm someone else unless theres 3 ciphers down and ideally they've already been chaired. Basement chairs can be an exception to the 2nd chairing point, sometimes its best to embalm someone knowing they're getting basement chair so everyone else doesn't put themselves at risk rescuing them.
Recording faces are obviously important but try to do it passively. Meaning don't go out of your way to run across the map to record the prisoner. If people are close to you, then let yourself stop what you're doing to record them just in case.
Embalmer is best on larger maps, but pleaseee don't waste time trying to find ultra secure/safe coffin spots like the top floor of Leo's memory. Corners of maps are always a good eough bet, and one thing i think MORE people should know is that Coffins aren't just good ways to secure a rescue, they can prolong kites and stall for time. Meaning even if the hunter keeps chasing them after rebirth, its still contributing to everyone else's decoding time.
Embalmer CAN work on smaller maps, you just need to be smarter with coffin placements. Put them on edges of maps if theres no second floor building available, if you're kiting absolutely away from the coffin to build distance to stall for time for when you get downed.
When you do get downed, you have a small window of time to decide to rebirth then, or wait until the hunter chairs you. Its safer to rebirth before the hunter picks you up, because if the hunter knows where you put coffin, they'll put you in a chair closer to it so its easier to camp you when you get rebirthed. (as an extra thing, a small thing that helps stall for a little extra time is to crawl away from the hutner when you get downed, away from the coffin location, before activating rebirth just before theyre about to pick you up. usually throws them off for a second)
When you get rebirthed, you have 8 seconds of invulnerability PLUS several extra seconds of tide. You're basically undownable in that time, so a risky but clutch way to use coffin to ensure a rescue/pop the last cipher is to place it right next to the chair/cipher. Obviously, you have to remember the time it takes to rebirth, and if you know that the process will take longer than what the chaired person has left before dying its not worth it. but VERY useful for when hunters teleport to the final cipher and you think you'll go down before you're able to actually pop it.
ENDGAME is when embalmer can really pull through for a game. i would never place my coffin next to the exit gate if i'm decoding it, bc of the likely chance the hunter will teleport to it. if the hunter is detention kiting you, i personally just do my best to stall for enough time for the others to get out (my playstyle is basically being the sacrificial lamb lol)
If someone ELSE is detention kiting, only embalm them when the exit gate is open, and even then its 50/50 that the hunter will teleport. Sadly a factor that you can't control, outside of the teammate keeping track of the hunter's teleport cooldown to figure out when to go down before its up, or how far they are from coffin. But either way, its always best to embalm them just in case. Embalmer is a good tie ensurer
When you get downed early (meaning you're close to your coffin) its best to not rebirth. Aesop has a slightly longer chair time, meaning if the hunter camps you during that time it wastes more time for them. But if someone is close by to rescue you, you can get an extra coffin the case that the hunter doesn't immediately down you.

About Ayato...
I can’t help but feel that Ayato’s character is pretty complex in a way.
In his character trailer, he’s a person whose main motivation is to be able to protect other people. He cares about his family and whatever moments of joy and relaxation he gets in his otherwise hectic and exhausting daily life. However, he still sees himself as a normal person, despite being the Yashiro Commissioner and head of the Shuumatsuban. I think that he kind of wishes that he could live a normal life like his mother and sister do, but he knows that it’s impossible for him to do so. Considering Inazuma’s politics, he probably has to face tons horrible things so he could make sure that everyone’s lives go smoothly.
This is supported by a voice line he has, in which he says, “Hmm? Some people treat work as a hobby you say? Goodness me, how very... exceptional” (lol subtle Ganyu diss). His workload is heavy and there’s a lot he has to go through, but he still separates both his work and personal life very clearly, and he does his job to ensure that he and others get to live their lives.
From his Character Story: “Some people say that the Yashiro Commission’s festivals and events are ever meticulous and have been full of consideration for the people. Surely the Commissioner’s hand is in all such matters. But others also say, ‘Ah, but there is much to politics that never see the light of day. and how could he have kept such a lofty position without a few tricks up his sleeve’? Ayato himself is unfazed by such comments. ‘Well, I consider myself merely a serious, dutiful public servant who owes his allegiance to the Almighty Shogun.’” He works to make sure that everyone has a good time, but the same people also question his integrity, even though they also like and admire him. For Ayato, he just views it as all part of his job, his duty to serve the Raiden Shogun.
In one of his voice lines, he mentions liking dogs, saying that he finds loyalty to be an attractive trait. He says this because he most likely faced a lot of betrayal and lies in his work. In his first Character Story, it’s said he had to face “heavy workloads, malicious deceptions, and attempts to frame him at every turn he parried away, even turning them to his own advantage.” In his Character Demo, he says, “If assassinating me was that simple, I can name a few rival clans who had an easier time over the years”, implying that he was nearly assassinated before. He supposedly took over the clan 10 years ago, and the lore constantly tells us that he took up the position from a young age, likely during his teen years. It’s no surprise that he’s quite distrustful and cynical, and finds great comfort in dogs, and in people like Thoma who have proven that they’ll stick by him no matter what.
One of his voice lines has him speak about throwing fallen flowers on a stove, their glowing radiance before they burn out, and while they had a short life, it was not wasted. He tends to speak in figures of speech quite often, and I think he was talking about his own life: that he is a fallen flower who willingly throws himself into the heat of his duty for even a brief period of peace and stability. He doesn’t care about burning out, because at least he does something meaningful with it.
I think this is why he was so easily able to understand Chisato and Kamaji: because he knows what it’s like to be in the same position as them. Though for Ayato, he was able to find his footing much earlier than they did; he had to, because what would have happened to his family if he didn’t, especially Ayaka?
Honestly, he is such a fascinating character to me. All the things we learned about him before, his love for milk tea, his mischievous antics with food (RIP Thoma and potentially Chongyun if he gives any funny ideas to Xingqiu), his penchant for card games and beetle fights with Itto, to him, they are things he considers separate from his duties as the Yashiro Commissioner, things he can happily do without having to worry about anything. But it doesn’t take anything away from the fact that he still has a job to do, and he will never hesitate to use whatever he has to preserve the happiness and safety of Inazuma’s people.

Hi Sarah! How's your day going? :D Regarding the Haruna Luna post, I got quite curious and checked Victor Entertainment website and Wakana appears as one of their artists. I know she's not formally signed up to them, but, could it be possible she maybe will go with them if her contract with SC ends? I'm not really sure how this works in Japan (nor anywhere else lol), but I'm really hoping this doesn't mean this is the end of Wakana's career specially bc people thinks she can't join YK again :(
Hello! I'm pretty good, thank you!
It's quite easy to mix those things up but there is a difference between talent agency and record label. As an artist you are managed by a talent agency (in Wakana's case that is Space Craft) and you are also signed up with a record label (in Wakana's case that is Victor Entertainment).
Talent agencies basically represent, market and promote their signed artists, and network with people in the entertainment industry to find work for their clients. In Japan this is typically a very strict employer - employee relationship with talents often being reduced to simple employees at the whim of their managements.
Record labels provide the necessary funds and infrastructure to accelerate an artist's career (including marketing and promotion). They can also set you up with producers, engineers, studio musicians, and studio time. In effect, they’re the ones who ensure you are able to make and sell music.
I am afraid that, no, she cannot leave Space Craft and sign up with Victor Entertainment simply because Victor Entertainment is not an agency. If she ever decided to end her contract, she would most likely have to find a new agency that's willing to pick up where Space Craft left off and that's not an easy task. There are rare cases of Japanese artists managing themselves but a majority of them do actually have an agency and I think it's probably a lot easier to actually get jobs like that.
As for people thinking she cannot join YK ever again, I wholeheartedly disagree with that. Yes, it is unlikely that she will become a regular member of Yuki's live utahimes again but I don't think that's what she wants anyways. However, there is literally nothing stopping her from appearing as a guest vocalist or collaborating with Yuki as FictionJunction WAKANA (or just as Wakana). YK has never made a secret of the fact that she absolutely adores Wakana's voice so I am sure she would be more than excited to work with her again if the opportunity arises. And let's be real here, it is a great promotional boost to be associated with YK so that would definitely be helpful for her solo career.

You're so kind to reply to me, thank you :)
I think your UI argument is extremely valid. Though I did argue that the lack of flair is not necessarily bad, I will definitely agree with you that it can feel not very streamlined. It's a bit embarrassing, but it took me a while to find the talk option in SMT III, haha. My brother had to point it out to me. And I'd still make the argument that IV's UI is clunky. There's absolutely room for improvement, even in V.
I also agree with the point on music, I totally didn't consider it, but yeah the vocals of Persona's tracks definitely make for an easier listen outside of gaming and in the background of YouTube videos. Though I haven't played the games, I do find myself listening to Persona 5's Beneath the Mask or Rivers in the Desert. And although I'm not much of a hip hop person, I do find myself enjoying Persona 3's tracks as well. And on occasion a Persona 4 track will pop into my head. There's also the iconic Velvet Room track.
On gameplay, from what I understand, Persona games are on the easy side, especially combat wise. Systems there seem to be simple. The all-out attacks and the mechanic of knocking down enemies also seems to ensure the possibility of player advantage, but I could be oversimplifying it. With SMT, you and your enemy are pretty much on an even playing field, having to abide by the same rules of combat. And yeah, unless you really know what you're getting into, the SMT systems can indeed be difficult to understand. I think the main hangup might be its status as a monster-collecting RPG, honestly. I honestly wonder if the average person just sees "oh there's an elemental weakness system" and thinks that's all there is? I occasionally see people online going like "wow the bosses are hard and the game expects me to grind," and I just think "hoo boy they just don't get it!" The average RPG player, monster-collector or not, is going to assume that grinding levels will get them out of tight fixes, when SMT is built against such an idea, as eventually, your party members just stop gaining significant experience. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume Persona functions more like a standard RPG in the grinding department. I think you're correct though, it can be difficult to actually get into if you aren't invested in learning the game, while Persona provides ample opportunity to conquer an enemy.
And you make a good point with the overwhelming part. In SMT you eventually get a large party you have to keep track of and manage. My brother was watching me play SMT VV the other day and said that he would find it difficult to manage his party if he were playing. And in SMT you're constantly cycling out your party and managing old and new members alike. In Persona, I think only the protagonist uses multiple personas, while the party members are limited to their one persona. Things are easier to manage in that regard, I'd feel. Can definitely discourage newer, more casual players.
Honestly if someone were to ask me where to start getting into the SMT franchise, I'd have no idea how to answer, lol. I will admit that I've only very recently got into the series and have only played III, IV, V, and VV up to this point, but I genuinely don't know how to respond. I'm going to get very opinionated from here, but I'd love to hear your individual thoughts if you are willing to respond again. III doesn't have any concrete tutorials and will be challenging if you are unfamiliar with the franchise. The minimalist approach to storytelling also might result in a less engaging experience compared to the average JRPG. IV and V are much more beginner friendly but I have my personal gripes with them that make them difficult to recommend to a newcomer. I started with OG V, and I'm really glad that that's where I started, but the average person isn't going to get brain worms like I did. V is honestly a better experience if you've played an SMT game before since you'd be able to truly appreciate the departure from typical dungeons and all the quality of life features. But for someone just starting... it might feel like the bare minimum for what an RPG offers outside of combat. At least, that's how I felt. The actual overworlds are linear with an open facade, side quests tend to boil down to fetch quests and assassination quests, collectibles are limited, and the narrative is kind of an embarrassment to story telling, what with its waffling after the opening segment and remembering it has a plot last minute. And then I say, "yeah, everything outside of the combat is mid but this is some of the best combat you'll ever experience in an RPG, trust," I sound a bit loony, I think. I really did enjoy my time with the game, it was my gateway into one of my new favorite franchises, but it's admittedly a deeply flawed game and it's beyond apparent that constant shakeups were occurring during its development. Something feels missing. This new remaster is great, I haven't finished it quite yet so I don't feel comfortable being conclusive about it, but so far, vastly improves the game and addresses pretty much all of my critiques. Each area has new nooks and crannies, the new side quests are great, and characters and story have more prominence and are in general more engaging. At the same time, I think some elements of the new story might be hard to understand without knowledge of the original campaign. Do I tell someone to sit through the 80 hour mediocre original campaign just so they have the best experience with the new story possible? I'm not sure.
As for IV... I just have gripes with the narrative and alignment system. The story has its big ups and downs, and the way the alignments were handled in the game personally frustrate me. Neutral is difficult to attain and law and chaos just devolve into two flavors of genocide. But at the same time, it's easier to recommend to a newcomer since characters and story are more prominent, and the story does indeed have its fun and cool moments. But my own gripes just... prevent me from fully recommending it anyway. I could go on about other things that bother me about the game but... maybe that can be for another time.
III meanwhile just doesn't explain itself very well and kind of assumes you've played a lot of video games before. I appreciate your mentioning of Elden Ring because the few people I've known irl that have played III compared it to Elden Ring for being rather cryptic and, of course, brutal. Meanwhile I died a total of two times in a game that many consider to be "the Dark Souls of RPGs." I honestly don't think the game is difficult if you know what you're doing. It really isn't. If you play carefully, you'll be fine. But as you said, the game can just be... kind of difficult to get into. You really have to commit to understanding the game to have a fine time. That can definitely be off-putting.
On your last point, ngl, I kinda agree??? Yeah, from watching my friends play Persona, they definitely spell everything out to you. Feels very "anime" in that regard. You know, the point where everyone stops mid-match for the sake of explaining to the audience every little piece of context needed to understand the stakes of the fight. SMT definitely doesn't spell things out as plainly. Also the experience will definitely be enhanced if you have even a general knowledge on mythology and religion, and like, freaking John Milton's Paradise Lost, lol. I'm Christian myself, and I've taken plenty of classes on Buddhism and Shintoism, so I see the stuff in the games and point and say "wow I get the reference!" with a pog face and all. For example, Walter's character arc in SMT IV is very much an Adam metaphor, which might not be obvious to those who aren't familiar with the book of Genesis. To best appreciate certain narrative or thematic choices of SMT, some media literacy definitely comes in handy.
But it's perhaps the elusiveness of SMT that makes it special. That is not to say Persona is without its charm, because it's certainly oozing with it! I love this convoluted mess of a franchise--there's a little something for everyone in the world of Megaten. Shin Megami Tensei, Persona, or perhaps some other side series, pick what ya like! I'm glad that the silly Tokyo apocalypse game could get us to chat like this. You're swag, thanks for humoring me.
With SMT V: Vengeance releasing, it got me thinking. Why is persona so much more popular than smt? I mean Go on tik tok and look for persona 5 edits and you’ll find sooo many. Look for smt 5 edits and there’s barely any.
I thought it over just a little, and in my mind (after a small amount of thinking and ZERO research) I think one of the main reasons is that Persona is characters with a story. While SMT is a story with characters. On top of persona looking better.
Further explanation under cut (lil talky talk for anyone interested)
What I mean with ‘Persona is characters with a story’ is that the story is there to drive the characters, and allows the characters to grow. The social link system definitely helps this. You’re connected to the characters in a way that SMT doesn’t allow. I believe that it’s because of these characters that people keep coming back.
SMT is a story with characters however. I find that SMT uses the characters as a way to move the story. The Order and Chaos endings are the main focus. The gods are the main focus. The characters you meet along the way are a means to and end to get to these endings.
We’ll look at Persona 5 and SMT V. For these are the latest games in the series (not including P3R). In persona we watch the characters slowly change. These characters are also usually the motivation behind the story. Ann and Ryuji telling us about how they were abused by Kamoshida. Giving motivation to steal his heart. Yusuke and Madarame. So on so forth. We slowly watch these characters grow and change. However I feel SMT V doesnt do this. The demons threaten the lives of the people in Tokyo, so ofc we as the Nahabino help. There are characters who help us along the way. But they don’t have the same impact as the characters in Persona 5 do. SMT V characters are good, but don’t compare to Persona 5s characters imo
There’s also the ‘flashy-ness’ of persona as compared to SMT. One of the most disappointing things of SMT V for me is the UI. Going from P5R and P3R to SMT V… they just don’t compare, SMT V is lacking. Now I don’t feel this is a complete deal breaker, but it is definitely not working for the game. The games fighting system is also very similar, and I feel Persona just does it better? With all out attacks, baton passes. They’re not completely the same, big difference being having people on the team compared to demons. Along with the MC switching personas on the fly compared to essences. Still they run similar enough to compare.
Now this isn’t to say games that are ‘story’s with characters’ are always bad, or don’t ever stick in people’s minds. I’d also classify Devil May Cry as a ‘story with characters’ type game and you’ll find the fandom for that is still going strong with barely any new content. I just feel that when not executed perfectly it can make it harder for the games to stick.
This also isn’t to say that SMT is a bad series or SMT V doesn’t get love. SMT V is a fantastic game. However I feel the fandom for it is a bit lacking, especially when considering Persona has such a big fandom and is a spin off of the SMT series. So this is my personal take as to why that is.
This line of thinking came about when Hyperfixation got to me and I went to interact with the SMT fandom and noticed how small it was when compared to Persona lmao. Anyways no hate to either series or fans of said series, I love persona and SMT (and also Devil May cry, I own four and five lmao, Nero my beloved-)
Not sure if this make a lot of sense lmao

Study Notes: Making pacts with demons! Headcanon
This is so nerdy and long and stupid but here it is my dumb headcanon for what being in pacts with the demon bros would be like plus some other pact headcanons (since i love pacts)
(I know some of these things contradict each other, lol especially since MC has pacts with everyone… just imagine they cancel each other out)
General
Making a pact with a demon means a lot of things, but there are two types of powers in a human/demon pact.
Direct power refers to immediate and physical power over the demon and includes; summoning, power redistribution, and commands
Indirect power refers to gradual and intangible power that influences both the human and demon and includes; mental and physical influence, uniform life influences and telepathy
A powerful bond vs. a weak bond between the human and demon shows in the pact immensely, the two in a pact must be very close for the pact to be up to its full potential.
Those in a powerful pact can read each other's minds, have a general sense of where the other is and what they are doing
The pact mark that is formed on both parties' physical bodies is only visible when the pact is being invoked/used.
A human in a human/demon pact is less susceptible to that demon's powers.
Lucifer
You don’t make a pact with Lucifer, Lucifer makes a pact with you.
Although you have control over him with commands he has far more influence on you than you do him
He is very old and very powerful, a normal human wouldn’t even be able to handle being in a pact with him. Not that they’d ever have the chance to be in one with him
You will find yourself to be more confident, you’ll be more assertive and pragmatic
If you were ever getting messed with at school by lower level demons, you won’t be anymore. Either by the change in your general air or if you were messed with while in a pact with Lucifer those demons' lives are over.
You will now have the energy of people who are described as having an ‘old soul.’
Even if you were in an intimate relationship with Lucifer before forging a pact with him, the way he treats you afterwards is far different.
He will be far more possessive as well as far more lenient with you. He understands you on a deeper level with a pact, and finds it easier to forgive you for any rule breaking.
The biggest benefit of having Lucifer in a pact is having one of the strongest fallen angels known to man in your arsenal, and he will back you up till the end of time.
Mammon
Ironically, you will find a lot of material possessions coming your way and just a general luck with money.
You’ll have more luck gambling, be better at bartering and finding deals (insert Skyrim level up noise)
You may notice you’re craving materials and money however
Mammon wastes no time telling every crow friend of his how much he likes you, and word spreads fast
If you’re ever alone outside you will always have a crow friend nearby to keep you company
They also bring you little goodies, the same way they bring things to Mammon
Mammon is also extraordinarily generous with you, he puts you first in every decision he makes. He makes sure you eat first, you sit down before him, you get the first share of everything.
You will find yourself thinking about him more than often. This is mostly because you are always on his mind and through the pact you share similar thoughts.
To your surprise, you also find yourself endowed in a veil of humility in every action you make. Mammon’s good nature rubs off on you.
Leviathan
Levi’s pact has more of an impact on him than it does on you. He will begin to be more and more like you, however you may be.
He will reflect your emotions of that day, not enough to abandon his own agency but if you’re in a particularly good mood then he will have a little pep in his step as well.
You will find yourself having razor sharp focus, like Levi. Through the power of envy or some other force you will be able to power through things for hours on end just to complete them.
Along with your enhanced concentration on things you work on, you also become more keen to others mannerisms around you. You may find yourself noticing insignificant motions people make more, what you think of them is up to you.
Cue you and Levi gaming for 12 hours straight.
You get more competitive and more materialistic as well.
In terms of physical attributes, you can hold your breath underwater for longer and you need less time awake to function but you also get cold more easily.
Satan
Ever have the need to read a book before? Because you better be prepared for that.
Since your emotions are linked in a way, when he wants to sit down and read so do you. And he does that a lot
You may find yourself learning things a bit faster than usual, if it took you 3 or 4 reads to memorize something now it will take 1 or 2.
You can read faster and comprehend more as well as apply the knowledge you gained to your real life more easily.
Because you are now tethered to Satan, and Satan is tethered to Lucifer’s emotions, you understand Lucifer a little bit better. (Unless you are already in a pact with Lucifer)
Satan is a hard book to read (lol) but when you forge a pact with him you find it much easier to tell what he’s thinking.
As a virtue of being in a pact with Satan you now feel much more passionate about things.
Like Satan himself, passion is at his very core so you definitely feel that.
But, along with that you also are easily annoyed by things that you’d normally be indifferent about.
If you get angry you find it MUCH harder to control yourself physically, you may throw things or bang your fist on a table.
Reach out to Satan to help you control your anger, as he has already learned how. But it will always be an uphill battle for both of you.
Asmodeus
You will now have a greater ability to understand others emotions. Through their eyes, the way they are moving their hands or swaying on their feet you can read them like a book.
You also find it easier to empathize with those emotions.
On top of that you have a greater appreciation for physical beauty, almost everyone you meet is appealing to you in one way or another because you can see their beauty (at least what feels like more than before).
Your natural appeal will increase, you may find yourself surrounded by more people than normal just by virtue of being so approachable and attractive in spirit and body.
Be prepared to be a bit more excitable than before. People will respond to your charisma more and you respond to theirs more.
If you are someone who feels lust then you will for sure be feeling a lot more sexually driven, at least more than usual.
Your skin is also very clear from here on out
Beelzebub
You might expect to be more hungry, but that’s not the case. You feel the same as you did before but when you eat you always feel like you can have more.
You can feel full but that doesn’t stop you from being able to eat more.
For some reason as soon as you forge a pact with Beel he dotes on you A LOT. Expect a lot of physical affection.
You will probably be the only person he would share his food with, except maybe Belphie.
Beel may seem a little dense sometimes but he has the most empathy of any of the brothers.
You in turn will feel the grief and sorrow of the brothers as well as their collective happiness when you enter a pact with Beel.
Beel is like a rock, he’s stable and secure and very steadfast in his emotions. Of course he’s passionate (about food) but he is overall very mentally mature and down to Earth.
This will be reflected in you when you forge a pact with him, you find it easier to maintain a level head even during situations that you ordinarily would be a bit riled up by.
Belphegor
Two words. Vivid dreams.
The same night you enter a pact with Belphegor you will undergo what feels like life-like dreams and not the mention they are long
They are numerous and intense, but if Belphegor likes you he will ensure that they are pleasant and relaxing. You will get a good night's rest every night, Belphie makes sure of it.
Belphegor is like Beel in that he’s calm, he’s a simple guy with simple desires.
However, if Beel is to be described as calm then Belphie is to be described as indifferent, which rubs off on you.
A negative to a pact with Belphie is that things you may have felt passionate about before you feel slightly less so.
You won’t necessarily feel more tired, you just sleep longer and way harder than normal
Making a pact with a human is very serious to Belphie, you have to mean a lot to him so expect a powerful and intense pact

Say My Name and I’ll Be There: 7.4
Author’s Note: I believe I’ll be doing a LIVE pulling for Xiao tonight around 7:45 PST. Join me if you want to see me cry from happiness or from not pulling him LOL. The link is in one of my previous posts. Before, during, or after this chapter, listen to this song to get a feel of what’s happening! https://youtu.be/ifQ3JRS4gqc
.....................
The voices never truly left you alone after that. You were practically becoming unhinged by the endless whispers that plagued your ears, and the quiet of night only seemed to egg them on further. When you were blessed with their silence, you were plagued the physical pains of the karmic debt and your depression from joining the harbingers. Childe was obviously growing more and more concerned with each passing day; you were beginning to freak him out. The Tsaritsa and the other harbingers, however, found great amusement in your...condition. It was a blessing in disguise; they were manipulating you much easier now that you were exhausted from the sleepless nights.
And it wasn't like you were constantly needing medical care, though you wished they would give you some heavy pain killers. No; whatever damage your body was burdened with would be repaired by morning thanks to Xiao's blood. The pain wasn't nearly as dramatic as the first wave, but it was a constant dull aching that ate away at your bones. Slowly but surely, the pains grew over time.
Xiao made his presence known to you only twice more; he showed himself in the late evenings for brief periods of time to quell your aching heart and mind. At least when he was able to be with you, the dreadful screams would disperse if only temporarily. At least when he was with you, you were granted sleep. Small waves of peace would reclaim you as Xiao watched over your sleeping figure.
But once Liyue's festivities were underway, Xiao's visits became nonexistent and your mind was once again thrown into deeper chaos while he fought off more demons. It was the busiest time of the year for both the inhabitants and the demonic presences of Liyue; it was Xiao's task to fend the latter off since the festivities attracted their attention and strengthened their presence. He felt you slowly shattering, and it hurt him to know he couldn't be with you as often as he wanted to.
One day out of the blue, over a month after you joined the Fatui, Childe approached you with a grand smile across his face. "Ojou-chan! Why don't I show you around Snezhnaya? It's much better than sitting in your room all day."
"...Aren't you always saying we could freeze to death?" Your unamused expression failed to hinder Childe's enthusiasm. "Why would I want to go outside?" The bags under your eyes spoke volumes about your continuous sleepless nights.
"Come on, Mezzetin, it'll be good for you. You could use the exercise."
"Are you implying something?" You're eyes narrowed dangerously, but Childe's grin only widened when your normal quips shone through your broken character.
"Well, if you ever feel the need to put me in my place, I'm more than willing to oblige to a fight," he watched your expression lighten for a moment before urging you. "Come on, I'll show you around."
Sheer cold wasn't an issue for this winter wasteland like it was on Dragonspine, but it had to be at least five times colder here. Childe made sure you were bundled up in a large furry coat before guiding you out of the castle and leading you to a town square that was surprisingly bustling with people despite the frigid temperatures. Stalls lined the streets. People gathered around to buy the freshest local food that included some incredibly large seafood varieties. Others were in line to buy trinkets, house decor, and a variety of other items.
"...A farmer's market?" Your cold breath of a remark caught Childe's attention, and he turned to you.
"Of course! Go ahead and look around. If there's anything you want, I'll buy it for you."
He's trying to cheer me up? You examined Childe's earnest demeanor as he eyed the fish stall with stars in his eyes. Can he just pick a side already?! You rolled your eyes. Still, might as well bankrupt him if he insists. You broke away from him and continued down the rows of stalls for awhile, unaware that the harbinger had rejoined you.
You were busy examining a few intriguing necklaces made of materials you haven't heard of when the whispers of the damned regained their voices. You staggered a bit only to be steadied by Childe's hand on your shoulder.
Childe noted your glowing eyes. "Happening again?" His genuine concern made you relieved that he wasn't a complete monster like the other harbingers. "If you need a break, there's a café over there that we can sit in." Your strained nod prompted him to guide you with a hand at the back of your shoulders.
"Hm?" A strange sound reached your ears, and this time it wasn't from inside your head. Your feet came to a halt before the two of you reached the building, and you tilted your head towards the sound.
It was a light and effortless tune that floated through the open air from yet another building. The melody was slow to build, yet you hung onto its every note. It took you a moment to realize that it calmed the demonic voices from screams to hushed murmurs. You followed the path of the sounds until you found yourself in an extremely outdated music shop.
"Mezzetin?" Childe attempted to regain your attention as he followed after you. He caught onto the childlike wonder glistening in your teary eyes. "Care to explain?"
"The pain..." a tear fell. "It's subsiding." You continued to stare at the harpist that played her tune at the back of the shop, eyes never leaving the fingers that plucked the strings. The voices were gone, and now you were only overwhelmed with a sense of peace.
Childe watched you silently listen to the music for a long while. An idea struck him. "Have you ever played?"
"Huh?" You snapped out of your daze and wiped the tears away. "Um...Granny used to play a lot when I was little. I know a couple tunes, but--" Childe walked to the shop owner without letting you finish, pulling out a large sack of mora while he was at it. "H-hey! What're you doing?"
"If it brings you happiness, then I don't see the problem in buying it," Childe argued back after he had purchased the most expensive harp in the shop and left a considerate tip. The two of you were walking back to the palace now. He had ordered for his subordinates to take the instrument back with them.
"But I haven't played in years! And I said I only knew a few simple tunes--"
"--Then I will ensure you receive lessons." He was not going to budge on this, and he made it obvious with his firm gaze. "The rest of the harbingers made it clear that they do not care for your wellbeing, but I do. Think of this as a gift and a type of therapy. You've been down ever since Xiao left you--"
"I left him," you corrected. And I so regret my decision.
"I'm just trying to prove that you aren't in a prison anymore. If you want to see it as that, then by all means, continue to be depressed. But something tells me you want to see Xiao again and find a way with him, no?"
"...Right."
"Then at the very least accept my apology gift to you."
"Huh? Apology?" You gave him a questioning look, but he either didn't hear you or elected to ignore you.
......................................
Xiao was being as antisocial as ever, but it's not like he would ever turn down an invitation for tea from Rex Lapis himself. Here he was, sitting just outside of Wangshu Inn with his master in the bright of day. Aether probably put the archon up to the task considering how Xiao pushed him away what felt like ages ago, but the yaksha decided to give Zhongli the time of day only because of his deep respect for his savior.
"I've also brought more pain killers," Zhongli handed the yaksha a small jar of other-worldly medicines as he continued to fill him in on the upcoming Lantern Rite. He had yet to bring you into the conversation, most likely to avoid irritating the throbbing wound in Xiao's chest.
"Mm." Xiao gladly accepted the medication and set it aside. This ensured yet another lull in their conversations.
"Will you go this year?" Zhongli sipped at his tea. "To the Lantern Rite?"
"My presence would only hinder the festival. Besides, I'm not great with crowds." The yaksha had yet to meet the archon's eyes, and kept his gaze firm on the teacup in front of him. Truth be told, he would have gone this year...with you, since it was you who had asked him. But now that these circumstances have come to pass, why should he go? "It's just another excuse for humans to discard their trash into the ocean." Why should he go when it would only remind him of his failure to keep you at his side?
Zhongli narrowed his eyes as he pondered whether words of comfort would aid his yaksha. "It would be good for you to experience something new after all your years of living."
"I already have," Xiao clenched his jaw, signaling that the topic was beginning to walk on thin ice. "She--"
"--Is not dead," Zhongli reminded. "Do not mourn for a loss that has not occurred."
"But she's dying," he argued back, finally releasing the emotions he's pent up ever since they left you. Zhongli's look of confusion prompted him to continue. "She can feel the karmic debt bestowed upon me."
"When did this begin?" The archon's usual reserved composure faltered slightly while his eyes widened.
"A month ago. I visited her; she can hear the voices of the damned. She's been in physical and mental pain ever since."
"The bond..." Zhongli set his teacup down a bit abruptly as he thought to himself. "It appears these side effects grow stronger in the other's absence. How intriguing..."
"How do we discard them? Is there a way?"
"Have you not interpreted my words in Qingce Village all along? Or my words at the Dawn Winery? I've already given you the means to act, Xiao."
--Can feel your emotions...emotions cannot be permanently ignored...fall on deaf ears...early grave... Xiao scoffed and downed the rest of his tea before forcefully setting the cup back down onto the table. "You think admitting my alleged feelings for a mortal human would solve the problem?"
"She's done her part, now it is your turn," he straightened. "If you fail to do so, I fear she will perish from your karmic debt in no time at all. If what you say is true, it's a miracle she's still alive. Your admittance would seal the bond, as it would eliminate the side effects altogether."
Xiao's head whipped in the direction of the playing of an instrument note, but was only greeted with the joyful screams of children running around nearby. "Tch. How annoying," he played his mishearing off and returned to his normal sitting position. Another sound reached his ears, but he neglected to react to it. The notes are off.
Zhongli didn't question Xiao's sudden alertness, but that didn't take away from the fact that yet another side effect has revealed itself to the archon. It appeared as though the yaksha was already aware of this side effect.
And man, did this one annoy Xiao the most. He heard the most random of tunes and chords at the most random of times. It would even jolt him awake when he managed to fall asleep on rare nights. It wasn't all unpleasant though; there were times in which the melody struck all the right notes and the result was a beautiful thirty second song before it was gloriously ruined by the musician's hesitance or embarrassment.
He knew it was you. Your constant need to practice was as pestering as your old daily prayers before he revealed to you that he could hear them. At least he only sometimes heard the plucking of strings. As pesky and invasive as it was, your insistence upon playing what Xiao only assumed was a lyre somehow brought a bit of joy to his heart. It meant that you were doing better than the last time he saw you.
He just wished he could hear the end result and not your sloppy practice sessions.
........................
Only on the eve of the Lantern Rite, several days before the celebration, did he come to appreciate the hours of hard work you were putting into practicing the music.
You had locked yourself in your room again after watching the failed experiments Dottore had forced you to witness. How many did you see die today? Fifty? He clearly needed to adjust the ratio of your blood to whatever else he had in that serum he developed. What was worse was that you were beginning to become desensitized to the loss of human life; amused by it, even. Just as the Tsaritsa wanted. Sometime into the fortieth treatment, your pains grew stronger as did the voices of the slain daemons.
You retreated to your room, relieved that Childe had for once allowed you to be without his presence. You sat yourself next to the window and allowed for the evening light to illuminate the music sheets the harbinger had bought for you. Your fingers grazed lightly over the strings as the voices continued to grow louder, absently plucking one of them to ensure that you still had full control over your slightly twitching limbs. You had nearly snapped the strings last time the voices overwhelmed you--
There's no time nor need to reminisce those incidents. You pulled yourself out of your thoughts and began to play, the smooth vibrations of the harp humming against your chest and shoulder as the strings were struck. Unlike your practice sessions, your hands glided over the strings from one position to the next like you had played for a thousand years. No hesitation could be felt from the chords. Finally, it seemed as though you mastered this song.
Xiao. I miss you...your warmth...your embrace... Your infested thoughts soon cleared as your mind drifted to an image of him. I wonder if he too finds comfort in music when the voices overwhelm him? For you knew that when the voices grew louder, he too, was subject to them. The music overcame the screaming daemons, and you were relieved with a sense of peace. Your fingers continued to play through the music and repeated the song for as many times as you felt fit. Your aching limbs continued to throb, but you didn't let that stop you from playing. Your mind now clear as water, you poured your longing for Xiao into your music. You hummed the melody as you played.
One day you'll find your way back to him, or him to you. Was it okay to allow yourself to believe in the possibility that he held the same feelings for you? Did he love you? No--Could he? It was already naïve enough to think he was capable of harboring such intimate feelings after living through hell for over two thousand years. And even if he did, it's not like you'd live as long as he has. Would he push me away again? You shoved that thought out of your mind with another series of chords.
You wouldn't be able to put an end to your feelings no matter what he did. He was too admirable, too strong, too strict, too beautiful. He was too kind, even if he put up a front. You loved him too much; perhaps that would end in your own downfall just as Childe predicted and beat into your head every day, but that was alright with you. If the voices were to eat away at you until all that remained were ashes, you were okay with being true to yourself until the very end. Even if he never thought of you as something more than a companion. And as you thought of him, the longing to be reunited swelled within your chest and overflowed into your fingers.
Your song was your unspoken prayer, your love and dedication were your offerings.

Cities reclaimed by Salmonids--I’m writing a fic so I need to sort this out in my mind. Pardon the ramblings with no visuals; I’m musing here. Sorry if some wording is kinda funky, lol
Cities that were built on Salmonid migration grounds, typically within the last 70 years of their absence, are still considered Salmonid “property” or “territory,” even while not in use. When they return for spawning, the people living there are considered intruders on their sacred land, and are driven out. The Salmonids then claim the buildings as their own.
Salmonids are known for driving sea creatures off of land for the sake of their migration, as they always return to the same land, however other sea creatures continue to build on this land, thinking that, since it’s not currently in use, it’s fine. They neglect to communicate with Salmonids. All the same, because of how Salmonids react when they return, they are considered ravenous, mindless territorial beasts.
The last time sea creatures were driven out of of “Salmonid land” was ~140 years ago, in what is now considered a restricted ocean zone. Salmonids now build off of this occupied city, upgrading buildings and expanding the threshold of their city limits. The city is massive, housing millions of Salmonids to this day. The surrounding area is considered Salmonid territory as well. The city can be seen from many of the Salmon Run stages, most notably, Lost Outpost (where many fisherman live), Spawning Grounds (just on the outskirts of the city), and the Ruins of Ark Polaris.
The most recent Salmonid territory that was built upon is where Inkopolis stands now, with the land being “claimed” ~100 years ago, after the Great Turf War. The Inklings, with their weapons that can shoot ink from afar, managed to defend their newly claimed territory during the Salmonid migration, and were able to start building their city proper over the last 70 years.
During the current migration, many Salmonids wanted to try to drive the Inklings out again, however many others were not confident that even their sheer numbers could get rid of the inkfish menace. Even more wanted to find a way to make peace with Inkopolis, however Grizzco shut any opportunity of that right out.
Salmonids are very territorial and defensive, and many of them grew frustrated when they had to reclaim land that was once rightfully theirs, and considered sacred. They are now incredibly defensive of what territories they have remaining, and may seem hostile, even towards those that come in peace.
~ The city proper ~
“The Drowned Streets”
These houses and buildings surround the city, and are in a perpetual state of flooding. Buildings located here have reinforced bases to prevent them from collapsing, and extra measures to keep them protected from water damage. These buildings are some of the safest you’ll find in general, taking on the brunt of storms, and protecting the crops in the “Farmer’s Market.”
The dam that can be seen from the Spawning Grounds regulates water levels, and makes it easier to keep track of water purity.
A large portion of the population lives here, as it’s ideal for laying and raising eggs. The waterways in the streets make for easy travel, and Salmonids can easily keep their gills hydrated.
A popular place to live, but not ideal for many trades, such as farming, artistry, and electrical work. Fisherman love this area the most. It’s also ideal for soldiers protecting their territory.
“The Farmer’s Market”
While farmland is most frequently found outside of the city, where more land is readily available and there is more space for livestock and crops, the Salmonids cannot resist using what land they have for growing food, even if it’s in the middle of a city. These farms create an “outer ring” around the “High Streets.”
The outermost ring, closest to the Drowned Streets, consist mostly of rice paddies, as well as other water-based crops. The further in one goes into the Farmer’s Market, the dryer the land, so dry crops and roots can be grown closer to the High Streets. There are many fruit trees just on the outskirts of the High Streets, and many affectionally call it the “fairy ring.”
This is where most shops are located, and Salmonids travel to and from the city frequently to trade their wares. The Farmer’s Market is considered the trading heart of the Salmonid territory, and is quite popular as a result, even if a small portion of the population actually lives there.
Due to land being limited and conserved for crops, mostly only farmers and their families and schools live in the Farmer’s Market.
“The High Streets”
Located directly in the center of the city. While this sounds like a place where the wealthy live (and in a sense, it is), the High Streets are a place where artisans and electricians craft their best work. This land is in the center of the city, and has (mostly) dry roads. Most Salmonids use vehicles to traverse this area quickly. Due to it being so dry, water is frequently brought to the city’s center to ensure everyone is hydrated. There are many small water towers scattered about the area.
This location has the most important buildings, and thus many Salmonids that rank highly in the army, or have important ties or duties, find it easier to live close to, or within the High Streets. Any living Goldies can be found here, and live in ornate homes.
Most don’t like living here, due to how consistently dry it is, and how many of its residents have a different mentality than the common Salmonid--one could consider it most similar to Inkopolis, but with a rustic, slightly rural air.
However, it’s ideal for electricians to safely build their machines, and for artists to keep their paintings and sculptures dry. There are fewer homes here as a result, but there are many buildings for Salmonids to create and work with their fins.

DIABOLIK LOVERS MORE, BLOOD OFFICIAL VISUAL FANBOOK ー Interview Vol. 2 feat. Nao Nakamura
Source: DIABOLIK LOVERS MORE, BLOOD Official Visual Fanbook
Release date: 2013
Huge thank you to @keithvalentinex for providing the raw scans!
SECTION 1: Q&A
Q1. When was the series’ sequel decided on?
A: Around the time the first game ‘DIABOLIK LOVERS’ was released in stores. We were fortunate enough to have already received news of an anime adaption at the time, so at some point we played with the idea of creating a fan disc to go along with it. However, if possible we wanted to hype up the series even more in anticipation of the anime’s release, which is how the production of a ‘DIABOLIK LOVERS MORE, BLOOD’ series came to realisation.
Q2. Did you plan on introducing a set of 4 new characters during the early phases of development?
A: The initial draft we received from Rejet-sama mentioned four characters. We figured that with that amount, we could pack it into one game and create an equal amount of content as we did for the Sakamaki’s, so we proceeded with said idea. At one of the first brainstorm sessions, we casually dropped the idea of creating a game with 6 Do-M characters... (lol) However, that would stray too far away from the core concept behind ‘DIABOLIK LOVERS’, so it obviously got rejected. (lol)
Q3. How did you go about writing the characters’ dialogue and actions?
A: I believe that the previous installment can be regarded rather groundbreaking within the genre of otome games. However, the boys coming across as too strong to the point where it would prevent someone from delving deeper into their character is something we reflected upon. We wanted to make up for that this time and created this game with the intend of exploring them even further.
Q4. What did you struggle the most with while writing the script?
A: This doesn’t apply solely to the script, but the fact there are so many romanceable characters in this game is what made it so difficult. However, we did not want there to be a difference in quality between the different characters’ routes. Despite our strong wish to please the playerbase, it made the distribution of time very difficult. The writers would first pen down the script, then Rejet-san would do the proofreading and make adjustments and then pass it on to us. However, reading a script while playing a game or simply reading it on paper is still different, so we were making minute changes down to the very last minute of development. We ran through the same process for the last game, but this time around, the total amount of content was just very large. We once again felt the struggle of putting in so many characters to choose from. However, we did this to create an even better game, so it was worth the struggle.
Q5. Which character caused you the most problems while writing the script?
A: All of the Sakamaki’s. The four Mukami brothers who make their appearance in this installment may be Vampires, but they were once human just like the heroine, so in terms of emotions, they tend to sympathize with her more. As a result, it only makes the Sakamaki’s seem even more like they are the villains of the story. While this may seem obvious given their original setting of being both ‘Vampires’ and ‘extreme sadists’, it makes it very easy for the otome game element as well as the feelings they end up developing for the heroine to be lost, in which case they would no longer be the six brothers we wanted to deliver. Therefore, it was very difficult to convey to the player that the love they harbor for the heroine eventually makes them change, while still preserving the sadistic tendencies which stem from their nature as Vampires at the same time. The player base has spent quite a bit of time interacting with these brothers, and I am sure it was not always easy, but I hope said message was delivered to those who played our game.
Q6. Is there a character who underwent drastic changes compared to the last game?
A: All of them are still the same at the core, so my impression of them did not change depending on the scenario. I believe minor changes were done to the way some of the characters are drawn, but personally I perceive each character as a mix of both their previous and current representation.
Q7. In this game, each section is divided into a ‘Situation Part’ and ‘Story Part’. Could you explain your intentions behind this?
A: When collecting feedback on the previous game, we received many complaints about the different chapters feeling inconsistent and all over the place. However, we always intended ‘DIABOLIK LOVERS’ to be a game in which the player gets to enjoy these different kind of ‘situations’, so without losing this part of the enjoyment, we figured we had to make the plot progression easier to grasp, which is how the current structure was implementend. To make it even more clear to the player, we divided it into two sections and gave each of them a title, changing the names as well.
Q8. What are parts which have greatly improved or parts you want us to focus on in comparison to the first game?
A: To ensure the player gets to enjoy the development in the heroine and characters’ thoughts and feelings, we applied small adjustments till the very last second. We hope that the people playing the game will take notice of this as well.
Q9. Why do you think the series has received such a great amount of support?
A: I believe the impact of the ‘Do-S Vampire’ concept, Satoi-san’s eye-catching illustrations and the charm of the cast who voices the characters all play a big part in this. Furthermore, I also believe that the simultaenous announcement of both drama CDs and a game which took place during the early stages of development had a large influence as well. We were able to make a smooth transition from the release of the CDs to the release of the games, which made it easier for the fans to follow along with the franchise. We truly are grateful for that!
Q10. Were there any ideas you wanted to incorporate in this game, but were unable to do in the end?
A: This game features the same selection segment as the previous one in which scenario’s 1 ~ 6 raise your love meter, while scenarios 7 ~ 10 raise the SM meter. However, we implemented the distinction between the ‘situation part’ and ‘story part’ this time, so it might have actually been even more enjoyable if the situation part raises the SM meter instead...I think. Those kind of features may vary depending on the vision of the director and staff members, so I would like to use this experience to think of various possible routes for future installments, as well as to settle on an end product which is fitting for the franchise. Furthermore, this may seem like a task without an end but I believe that the voicing plays a big factor in delivering the story. It is a vital element of conveying the message you want to tell, in a way that whether or not the player understands the plot is often highly dependent on the voice work. Every time I find myself wanting to perfect this, but it is difficult to supervise all of it just by myself...However, there’s always next time, so I’d love to squeeze in the time to thoroughly check this!
Q11. Do you have any more games planned for the series at present? Would you personally like to create more sequels?
A: We do not as of now, but if there is a strong demand for it, we might just be able to develop another game. Personally I would like to make a stereotypical ‘fandisc’ but the very first thing that comes to mind with those is a 'sweet, romantic story’ so I do struggle a little envisioning how that would play out with a cast made out of nothing but intense characters.
Q12. Please leave a message for the fans.
A: Thanks to the support we have received from all of you, we were able to create so much content for this franchise. I put my heart and soul into this game, so I sincerely hope that many people will enjoy it. Your impressions and encouraging messages are a great motivator as well, so I am eagerly awaiting those! The series may deliver new installments in the future, and to ensure that you all can continue to enjoy ‘DIABOLIK LOVERS’, we will continue to try our hardest together with Rejet-san, so we’d be happy if you could send us your heartfelt support.
SECTION 2: THEIR FAVORITE EPISODES
Sakamaki brothers: The final few chapters of Ayato’s route left a strong impression on me. I couldn’t help but wonder if somebody could truly be that stubborn and in denial about their own feelings, insistent on calling the girl they love ‘a prey’ till the very end. I felt so frustrated when the heroine’s feelings just wouldn’t get through to him, tears welled up in my eyes.
Mukami brothers: The part which gave me the most goosebumps during the development stages has to be Ruki’s Manservant Ending. Takagi Sakurai-san did a magnificant job portraying his silent madness, it was truly wonderful. Second place would be Azusa’s brute ending, even though I knew how the story would go, I still ended up feeling a little depressed by it, so please be careful when you play this scenario...
SECTION 3: NAO NAKAMURA CHOOSES ー SITUATION-DEPENDENT CHARACTER SELECT
Who would you choose in these situations? What’s the developer’s opinion?
S1. To sleep together with?
Best: Subaru, I feel like he has a good sleeping posture.
Worst: Subaru, he might not move around much in his sleep, but it’d still be uncomfortable and narrow in that coffin, huh?
S2. To go on a trip together with?
Best: Shuu, I’m sure he’d just loaf around the lodge all day, so I get to enjoy the trip in whichever way I want!
Worst: Laito, I’d rather keep my distance from him.
S3. To eat together with?
Best: Kou because I’m sure he’d happily gobble it up.
Worst: Kanato, I feel like the food would be lacking in nutrients.
S4. To study with?
Best: Ruki, I think he’d do a good job explaining everything accurately.
Worst: ???, honestly all of them...
S5. To go on a date with?
Best: Yuma, I actually think he would make for a great boyfriend.
Worst: Shuu, because everything would be a chore to him...
S6. To play a video game with?
Best: Ayato, he just seems like the type of guy you can always have fun and make some ruckus with.
Worst: Reiji, he seems super fussy.
S7. To play sports with?
Best: Shuu, I don’t really like exercising so...I’ll go with the person who seems unlikely to exercise in the first place.
Worst: Ayato, I don’t like exercise after all...
S8. To go on a drive with?
