Can I ask, who are your top favorite romantic couples (can be canon or non canon) of all time from any media? Why you love them? Thx :D
here i go with another grand list that i was very happy to write! i’m in love with these asks, really. i’ll mention all of them, but at first i was in doubt if i could include one that isn’t ‘canon’, but rather rpf. either way, i added bonus couples for good reasoning! let’s go.
Tumblr media
1. wangxian (lan wangji x wei wuxian), from mo dao zu shi — they are THE moment, they are THE couple, they are THE goals. who ever could have imagined someone would come up and write a troublemaker who falls into demonic arts and gets reincarnated to fight together with a sucker-for-rules expressionless man and make it work? they fit into any au as well, this fandom rocks. my lovely cultivators!
Tumblr media
2. kagehina (kageyama tobio x hinata shouyou), from haikyuu!! — i dont even play volleyball. i dont even like sports! why do i love this anime and this duo specifically so much? they are so passionate about their hobbies, the rivalry and frenemy relationship? the POTENTIAL. the STORY they have. the "someone better will come and find you" promise. sheer beauty. they are silly and fresh and cute and i dont think i'll ever get tired of it.
Tumblr media
3. yizhan (wang yibo x xiao zhan), from the untamed cast rpf — i know all the problematics about writing real person fiction. i KNOW, okay?? but people, let me like them and support them in peace?? 😔 i have so much love for these men, and its overall hella fun following their life unfold, even if they are not working together anymore. nonetheless, they are my dose of serotonin when i need it.
Tumblr media
4. daiharu (kambe daisuke x katou haru), from fugou keiji: balance unlimited — i will not scream for a seson 2 here. i will scream for more FICS of them here! there ain't enough! its not even about the 'sugar daddy' appeal, its more about the 'partners in (solving) crime' appeal. oh and also the 'i hate you you arrogant prick but i WILL do anything for you' part. everything and every detail of this show.... seriously though: gold.
Tumblr media
5. hilson (gregory house x james wilson), from house m.d — oh, my sweet stupid and repressed doctors, i would do unspeakable things for you. wilson has been through every hard moment of house's life. you can name them, he's been there. through every ridiculous situation of his too. it is overwhelming, honestly. the ending couldn't have been more reasonable and fitting for them, in my opinion.
Tumblr media
6. hannigram (hannibal lecter x will graham), from hannibal — this gif alone of them with scratches and smiling conspiratorily to each other sums up their entire dynamic. they're toxic and no one's doing it like them. like, yeah, no shit, who would even dare, right? murder husbands can do anything and eat the rude as much as they want, i will be sipping on my drink and watching intently. (man truly looked at this detective he framed for murder and said he would remember their moment together forever??? just dont throw him in jail then???)
Tumblr media
7. shiguang (lu guang x cheng xiaoshi), from link click — these pretty boys traveling through time invented the concept of yearning, and i will not explain more to not give season 2 spoilers. i fell in love with them as soon as i saw the first shot of the anime. it doesnt help that they have the same dynamic as wangxian, too. cheng xiaoshi, my beloved, you would never do anything to harm anyone (not purposefully) and i (as well as lu guang) worship you 🙏
Tumblr media
8. renga (hasegawa langa x kyan reki), from sk8: the infinity — let's be true tho, can they never do a sports anime without pulling up homosexuals?? not that im complaining at all. please continue, in fact. every couple in this story is valid (adam does not exist), and i love this spirited, young concept of redescovering the beauty of a hobbie. lovely, all of them, but most specially my langa and his admiration for reki. their dynamic has no complications, its just so sweet.
Tumblr media
9. moshang (mobei jun x shang qinghua), from the scum villain self-saving system — i will not share a pic of moshang official art because i find shang qinghua appearence too much childlike and annoying, meanwhile i find him much more interesting in the book and fanarts. in any case, i love this couple more than the main couple simply because our airplane-bro can make everything so hilarious. there are fics of them out there which are peak entertainment (check this one!). mobei's tsundere attitude and shang qinghua's shamelessness are a great combo.
Tumblr media
10. hualing (hua cheng x xie lian), from heaven official’s blessing — the longing is unbearable. hua cheng loves this man so much, for real. waiting 800 fucking years?? being his most devoted believer? can you believe the audacity?? my man, though he has low self-steem, does anything to protect his god. he doesnt care about any realm. he only cares for xie lian, his dear god. they are the cutest couple.
Tumblr media
bonus: aziracrow, johnlock, tododeku, victuuri, blackbonnet, mafuyama, redblue (from this is how you lose the time war).
these are my favorite ships ever! they are what i scream about alternatively, and when i say so, i'm not joking. one week i'm freaking out over new link click content and in the other one i'm reviewing house m.d episodes. my life's a circle with my favorite ships in it and i ain't regretting anything.
thank you for asking, by the way! big hugs! 🤍

When I see them like this,I always remember feeling of listening to them in 5th grade, and aroudn that time,as I discoverd them, and one winter especially i was deep into Beatles, maybe next year too not too great with remembering exact dates ,but they like made me have some magical winter nostagic feelings and times ,since u can imagine how it feels first time hearing Beatles early albums,I was out of this world, and it felt so pure, and I was so young and my soul was kinda pure too,and new, like stuff is best for the first time ,and Beatles were so much like a part of my soul that I just redescovered...But my life was kinda dreamy at that times too, like I had best imaginable friends at school, like I"m insane and freak, and to find friends I Feel iis very rare for me,and I was lucky to get into class with like 5-6 guys that were like so insane and like people I knew from past life it felt sor so ,but we had like our own world, and we were making hell of time in our school, doing whatever we wanted ,and on other side I had a beautiful mum that took care of everything for me and organised my life, and I had a fun in Belgrade but also whenever I could I spent time away from my town with granma and granpa away from town a,dnt there I had also a lot of friends, and I loved out of this world my granma, man life was kinda magical at these moments...like in later years I got trough psychodelic part, but I kinda like this period or their music more for nostalic and love cozy vibe that it have, just like my life was at that time..,that winter felt unreal I remember while I listened to early song of Beatles, like everything before 65-66,I felt so much like in love with life or with something unreal ,I remember that winter there was some girl that came to our class for a short time, she was an orphan and she had some mysterious and nostalgic vibe around her , but I always felt something strange and nostalgic about orphans and orphanages ,not sure why,I remember walking around that orphanage in my hood that winter while listening to Help! album,or something like that in christmas vibe, and thinking that she is probably in there now,she was shy and cute ,but kinda tough too as life ain't easy I guess for them..just some random memories I guess

Ive redescovered my passion for the artistic process lately and ngl, its made the art that ive been working on come out so much better.
Ive never been able to like, put my head images onto the screen/paper properly but i have been for the past few times and im kinda just in awe, it nearly brought me to tears actually managing it
Art has felt so frustrating lately, i want to create but nothing ever came out how i want it at all and so i get frustrated and it makes me not want to bother. The reason i make art is because i like to look at a final product im happy with and know i made it, i did that. But i forgot how much fun the actual process could be as well.
Ive been focusing too much on speed, and like, overthinking shit so much trying to make something that i feel looks good, and yeah people say "it doesnt have to look good" but i WANT it to, thats why im doing it, to make something myself that I myself can look at and enjoy
If i dont enjoy looking at it then its just, why do it at all
But i got really zoned in and kinda forced myself to slow down and just enjoy it and I litterally redescovered my passion for the process. College and school art classes always focused so much on speed, improving meant getting faster. So in my head i was always rushing myself, wanting to just get to the good end product fast because speed was always such a big deal in school. My brain associated speed with quality, and so i would just take shortcuts and do things fast just to get it over with, instead of enjoying myself.
You dont have to be fast to be good at art. Im so happy i managed to redescover how fun it can be to just create.
Anyway i hope my dumb ramblings make sense and maybe inspire other people to slow down and relearn how fun it is to MAKE something, your art will thank you. You're mental health will thank you.

things to do in quarantine:
it's the second week of quarantine in my country and I came up with a list of things I enjoy doing to pass time. I know how hard having no contact whatsoever with the outside world can be, above all for those who struggle with mental health, like me, so I really hope this list can be helpful! feel free to repost and add any other activity you think up ✨
catch up with TV shows, movies & books - these may be the most basic activities that come to mind but one should never underestimate the value of an entertaining TV show or a good book. if you had any titles you wanted to catch up to, now it's a good time as any to! time passes more quickly when you focus on fictional storylines
study or read about topics which interest you - if you have a penchant for astrology, witchcraft, science, psychology, history or any other topic you find interesting, doing some online research may help you expand your knowledge. you can learn to interpret the planetary positions of your signs or how to read the body language, it's up to you! learning a new language or how to draw are other valid options which can take quite a lot of time to master, perfect when you have little to do. YouTube videos do the trick too if you easily bore of reading
find documentaries or docu-series on Netflix or YouTube - there are a lot of interesting documentaries on both platforms, I can definitely recommend watching Buzzfeed Unsolved, Ghost Adventures, Into the Inferno, A plastic ocean, Father Amorth and The Devil, Our planet or any BBC documentary. if you enjoy mystery you can also watch the YT channel Real Story and Timeline - World History Documentaries
spend time on self-care - try out new DIY recipes for your skin and your hair with everyday products you can find at home [ always search for reviews as to not endanger your skin with harsh treatments and verify the reliability of the recipes before trying them out ]. have a long relaxing bath with soaps, bath bombs or parfumed essential oils: rose, chamomile and lavender work wonders for the skin. put on nail polish and if you like make-up you can practice your skills and create new looks! take naps!!! resting is very important and, as long as you use an alarm clock as not to sleep too much (which may bring headaches or a general negative disposition), you can definitely enjoy a nice afternoon nap
cook and bake - you can make pancakes or biscuits, try out new online recipes and enjoy the results after. a nice cup of tea will do nicely with a fresh bake of biscuits or muffins. I'm not big on cooking/baking but a lot of friends of mine find it relaxing and productive, so I decided it was worth mentioning
organize your work-out schedule - fitness apps help a lot when you want to fix yourself a work-out schedule and exercising in general definitely works both to keep you busy and to boost your health. the sedentary life of quarantine can make us lazier but spending even only half an hour exercising can be pretty refreshing. if you don't like the usual gym exercises, yoga is a valid alternative. dancing is a nice alternative and music in general can motivate you to move and excersize your body. [ don't strain yourself too much, work slowly to reach your goals and follow tutorials as not to risk wrongly performing exercises and positions ]
keep a journal or write anything that comes to mind down - writing is really helpful as it stimulates our mind and keeps our thought process active. watching a movie can become a passive past-time but writing down what you liked and what you didn't about it makes for a wonderful way to reflect and redescover yourself. journals of any kind may be easily updated any time of the day, you can also make it aesthetically pleasing to the eye (that way you spend more time and can keep occupied for longer). dream journals or poetry are some options too, just like lists. Sei Shonagon, a Japanese writer, made lists of things she loved, things she despised, things that would be perfect for a painting, and so forth: it can be quite fun to compile lists about various themes
watch the world around you from your window and admire the scenery - sometimes we forget how much beauty this world holds, from urban sceneries to natural landscapes, it's always a wonderful idea to spend time observing our environment. take notes, jottle down what you appreciate about your view, which emotions it evokes or simply silently admire the landscape and take time to breathe in and out. keeping busy is nice but taking time to have a break is just as important as life can be pretty overwhelming
Skype your friends, keep in touch - this may be the most mainstream thing to do but spending quality time with friends always manages to cheer me up, even if it's through a screen. you can stream games or simply have a chat, whatever you prefer. seeing them may be more uplifting than simply texting, so be sure to set up a time when you're all free to video call them! check up on your online friends too!
do some gardening, your plants will thank you - if you have any plants, gardening is a valid pastime too. water your plants, give them names if you haven't already, talk to them if you like (pls talk to them NICELY do not make an example out of Crowley)
[ don't forget to regularly drink water and wash your hands. go out only if it's strictly necessary, avoid touching your nose, mouth and eyes if you do. social distancing is important, for you and for the people you hold dear, respect the 1m distance! coronavirus is NOT a simple flu - please, please stay home, stay safe ]

OUTDOORS | Highlights From 2018 – A Year Of Change, Turmoil & Growth
At this time of year I tend to take a look backwards in order to remind myself of all the positive experiences I’ve had, before pondering and setting intentions for the coming year. Here are some of my highlights from 2018.
I’ve never been one for new year’s resolutions, but I like to think I’m always growing and learning and despite my focus last year being on health and wellbeing, I’ve decided that 2019 will follow a similar theme, but with greater focus on the cultivation of personal inner peace and happiness.
2018 – A Year Of Big Personal Change
2018 proved to be another trying year, particularly from a personal perspective and after a lifetime of living in a family home with my daughter and partner, the past year has been very different.
My daughter moved out and bought her own home, my long-term relationship came to an end and a short-lived toxic relationship came to an abrupt end back in the summer, meaning I finished the year living alone for the first time in my life.
Lonliness is something I think people can be ashamed of admitting to feeling, but I’ve been quite open about how I feel. I find the experience of getting home from work and having no one to talk to; no one to ask about their day or tell about my own, and no one to laugh with or take care of quite difficult.
Self help and inner work to help me cope positively with change
This sense of loneliness has come as a surprise to me, as I’ve always been happy to do things on my own and consider myself to be highly independent. I have a lot of amazing friends all over the country (though none that live close by) and whilst I’m always busy and have plenty of different hobbies to keep me both active and occupied, I’m finding that none of these things is helping to assuage the pervasive feeling of loneliness.
As well as being independent, I am also adaptable and am not one to fear change, Indeed I actively embrace it, so I know that in time I’ll get used to living alone, but in the meantime I’m not going to pretend that I find it easy or enjoyable.
I’ve decided to reframe things and focus on cultivating inner pace and happiness which I hope in time will lead to a greater feeling of contentment.
All the energy I’ve spent my entire life putting into ensuring other people are happy and cared for, I plan to direct at myself, so the coming year is one I intend to make all about me.
With this new ‘me’ focus in mind, I’ve already tried several new things and have made plans and bookings for the new year, from Reiki and yoga sessions to group guided walking meditations, glamping breaks and theatre visits and I’m very much looking forward to seeing how 2019 turns out.
A Few Highlights From 2018
1. Gaining My PADI Certification
Gaining my PADI scuba diver certification and diving with nurse sharks in Cozumel, Mexico was perhaps the biggest highlight of the year. I took my daughter away for a week of well deserved relaxation and though I’d not planned to do it, she knew I’d always wanted to and talked me into going for it and I’m so glad that I did.

2. Outdoor Bloggers Annual Meet Up
Getting together with like-minded people is always a joy and a group of us meet up once a year for a weekend of camping and walking. This year we spent a few days up in the North York Moors and I had a wonderful time.

3. Besties Summer Camping Trip
Each year a few of us head to our favourite campsite, Cae Du in Wales to spend a few days together chilling, crafting, walking and generally just enjoying each others company. I had a wonderful swim in the sea and the weather was utterly glorious, making it a perfect few days with some of my favourite people.

4. Walking In The Highlands
At Easter I headed up to the Scottish Highlands for what has become my annual glamping and walking trip. This year I chose Loch Katrine Eco Lodges as my base for a few days and enjoyed lots of walking and exploring in the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs national park.

5. Whitby Goth Weekend
I made another annual pilgramage up to Whitby for a weekend of dressing up, dancing, drinking and dining in the beautiful seaside town of Whitby. We booked a cottage and had a fantastically fun time.

6. Redescovering My Love Of Music
As a child I taught myself to read music and to play the piano…but then I discovered boys and raves and well, the whole music thing fell by the wayside. With more time on my hands, it’s given me the opportunity to redescover some of the things I used to enjoy, and playing piano is one of them. I’m truly terrible I should stress, but I enjoy it, and it’s something I’m going to persist with in the coming year.
7. A Family Weekend On The Coast
For my sisters 40th I booked us a beautiful huge holiday house overlooking the sea and spent a few days with my family celebrating. We enjoyed some wonderful coastal walks as well as lots of great food and merry making!
A family walk on the beach in Angelsey
8. Private Hot Tub Glamping In The Brecon Beacons
One of my favourite glamping stays during the year was with Wigwam Holidays in the Brecon Beacons. The private wood-fired hot tub was a true delight, and I went walking and kayaking and had a thoroughly enjoyable couple of days.
Read about it here.

Closing Thoughts For 2018
As usual, I’d like to use my last blog of 2018 to thank my friends, family, readers and followers for continuing to support Camping with Style.
I’m hugely grateful for the positive feedback I get and knowing that the things I write about resonnate with a wider audience, is extremely rewarding, so thank you all.
I wish you nothing but love, health and happiness in 2019.
