You can find all of these wonderful works on tumblr and AO3! We encourage you to read/view/gawk/ooh and ahh to your heart's content, and leave comments for our marvelous participants to let them know how much you enjoyed their work. We will be posting works every day starting at 7:00am PST.

A few quick reminders for participants:

Please comment on your gift as soon as you can after it’s posted! Your gifter put a lot of work into creating something extra special just for you, and they are likely waiting anxiously to see your reaction.

Please do not respond to any of the comments on your work until after reveals in January.

Remember that what you receive is a gift. These gifts might not follow your exact prompts or incorporate every like, but please assume that your gifter did their very best to make something special for you. Be sure to leave them a nice comment to say thank you!

We also want to encourage all our participants (and everyone who loves Drarry as much as we do!) to please be active and read and comment through the fest—beyond just your gift. Now that my twitter is scrubbed, it's about time I started posting some of my old, possibly insane Psychonauts AUs here. I figured I should start with this one, mostly because I'm nearly positive I kept sneaking vampire Morrises into other sketch pages during streams. Long story short, I played one singular CRPG (HoMM3 my beloved...) as a kid, and what started as "lol what faction would they all play" became a long term AU with character arcs and lore dug up from that game, the game that game was a spinoff from, obscure dev interviews, and multiple wikis.

This is a mod made for the sole purpose of completely "remastering" SMT IV's in-game textures by hand, which includes: the UI + text, backgrounds, character portraits and other visual assets by manually recreating them in higher resolution.

By applying this mod, anybody can experience the stunning HQ detail originally present within the game that was forever lost within the game's original stunted 244p quality. 【⭐How do you manually recreate smaller detailed assets like the Character Portraits?⭐】

In contrast to other HD Mods or Remakes out there using impractical methods to "upscale" character images, our team is dedicated to redrawing the original crunchy ~300px Character Portrait sprites within the game into higher resolution by hand ourselves (using the ~7000px Key Art as a base). And sometimes, we have to redraw certain sprites entirely from scratch!

➡️As one of the artists part of the team, I'm very passionate about getting those iconic "Doi style" elements that are present throughout his SMTIV art. Personally speaking, it's an honor and a learning experience to be a part of this project in being able to faithfully recreate his work with as much respect and care as possible. That being said: We're all basically doing the work that an entire dedicated team within a company would usually do, out of love for this game! Draco’s all too aware of night coming. Of the light fading and welcoming shadows into the room. “When will you go?” he asks.

“In a while.”

“You don’t have any plans?” Draco imagines Potter walking London in the evening, smelling flowers, picking up takeout. He imagines Potter in a sweltering club, bodies everywhere. He imagines night falling and a warm yellow window looking into wherever Granger and Weasley live.

“Yes,” says Potter. Draco focuses on the weight of Potter’s leg on his, fighting the disappointment filling his throat. “To stay for a while. If that’s okay?”

“Oh,” Draco says. “Did you want—?” He’s tired. His nerves are fraying; he doesn’t know if he can hold himself together for more sex.

Potter sighs, chest and stomach deflating. “Would you be alright if we just…” Potter waves a hand in the air, then rests it on top of Draco’s.

“Yes—that’s fine.” It’s an understatement; it’s all Draco wants.

“Sometimes it’s nice,” Potter sighs. “To do nothing.”

Draco does it all the time, so it’s lost a bit of allure. He was raised in a family where children grew up to be adults who did nothing for a living. But it’s different with Potter—with Potter, ‘nothing’ feels significant. Nothing is the most real thing to do. There’s nothing to hide behind—just bodies and air and silence to float in.

“I like doing nothing with you,” Draco says.

i have such conflicting feelings on dragon age origins because it has SO much content and room for roleplay but the actual gameplay is so tedious that i personally never got to see all of that content. on account of it kinda sucks to play the game

Announcing the Pathologic Modding Wiki!

The Pathologic Modding Wiki compiles all kinds of technical information about the Pathologic games: how game systems work, how individual files are structured, how each release of each game differs, and of course how to cheat. How is fall damage calculated in p1? What keys can you press to teleport to anywhere on p2's map? How many console commands does Classic HD have (spoiler: at least 110)?

One year ago, the Pathologic Modding Discord was founded to share knowledge about the internal workings of Pathologic games. The Discord members have been building this wiki since January to make our documentation more accessible. It’s still very much a work in progress, but the ~50 articles written so far are a solid start! I’ve written several modding tutorials for both p1 and p2, and while the game system documentation is definitely biased towards p1 so far, the site’s goal is to be a comprehensive resource making modification of both games easier for everyone.

Come look around the Wiki, and join the Discord for further discussion! All wiki contributions are very welcome, from spelling fixes to completely undocumented topics. I’d love to answer questions or comments here. It’s been a great year, and I’m excited to see the Pathologic modding community continue to grow :-)
