*gyatso*- i dont want to put a nunber next to his name because i have 0 concrete evidence as to where he would rank. if i had to guess i feel like he’d be 2-3? but i just can’t put him there based off vibes alone lol. with that being said, i still have to give him credit. there is no number 10 lol sorry.

9. bumi- yeah he kinda sucks as an airbender lmao. i loveeeee bumi and to be so honest i really really REALLY wish he had stayed a nonbender. it was such an important part of his character and what made him so interesting. but alas he has to be an airbender. boring lame boo!!!!! but he does do a few cool things. good job bumi.

8. opal- boringggg snoozeeeee. i don’t really like opal. but she airbends which is cool. i dont remember her doing anything significant at all as an airbender though lol. maybe that’s on me because i dont care about her character so i just forgot, but from what i remember she’s a good airbender, just nothing special.

7. kai- kind of a similar situation to opal where he doesn’t seem to be special but i will say i think him and airbending compliment each other very well. he naturally is able to utilize airbending which is honestly reminiscent of aang to me a tiny bit. obviously he’s not on his level at all but the vibes are still there! but yeah other than natural ability he doesn’t have anything else of note imo. it’s kinda like he just plateaus after the timeskip i feel like? idk i shoulve made these lists immediately after my most recent rewatch lol.

6. meelo- hate him HAHAHAHA sorryyyyyyy. his fart stuff is so annoying. however i think its obvious that all of tenzins kids are great airbenders and it comes pretty naturally to them. so yeah all three are excellent he is just the least impressive to me.

5. ikki- i loveeeeeeee ikki omg. but she’s very similar to meelo to me in that she is clearly naturally gifted and practically a master airbender but i don’t remember her doing anything really impressive that would make her any higher. she gets to be higher than meelo because i like her way more and she doesn’t fartbend. congrats ikki!

4. zaheer- im kind of annoyed that he’s this high. like he should not be that good of an airbender but here he is i guess. he gave almost everybodyyyyy a run for their money during his season and was kicking lots of ass. idk why he’s so good, i guess because he was spiritually connected to airbending before he became an airbender, but he definitely is amazing. mf can fly which no one else can do. also the way he killed the earth queen was awesomeeeee! wish more airbenders could be more unhinged. but yeah he can’t be higher bc he lacks a fuck ton of experience.

3. jinora- people argue she’s the best airbender in tlok and ok she mightttt beeeee because of her spiritual abilities, but i do think she lacks some combat skills and experience. with that being said though her spiritual abilities make her insanely op. im just saying like if u average out her impeccable spiritual skills with her just good combat skills, she gets number 3 imo. but she is obviously a master who earns her tattoos at such a young age so that’s why she’s here! also i think in her adulthood she will surpass her dad, but she aint there yet!

2. tenzin- gonna get his con out of the way first, he has little to no spiritual connection. which i dont think is a HUGE detriment but it is a detriment nonetheless and it’s why i also kinda flip flop between him and jinora and who i think is the better airbender. but today, for me, it’s tenzin. what he lacks in spiritual ability he makes for in strength, agility, technique, IQ, skill, utilization, and literally any other feat you could think of. remember when he was making zaheer look like an absolute amateur? that was awesome. yeah he is the best airbender that isn’t an avatar in the whole series.

thanks I appreciate that. yeah it's been real hard. I don't wanna talk alot about it here bc my blog is sposed to be a place for folks (including me) to escape to. I don't even usually like to talk about or reblog world events or anything on here.

I'm gonna say a few things about the situation under a cut, but I'll warn you it's really sad. Death tw I guess. It's also very personal but I need an outlet.

I'm serious when I warn that this is going to be a hard thing to read, and you don't have to read this. In fact I recommend you don't. I'll try to be succinct.

So basically my mom died. She wasn't super old, and she was mostly healthy in regards to that kind of thing. She had a lot of medical issues but none that would have taken her out this suddenly. I'm not strong enough to talk about what things may have happened, we don't really know yet either way until after they look at her a little longer.

I lost my dad when I was 8, and my extended family is mostly estranged. My support network is very thin, but for the most part I think we've got it handled for now. I don't want to get too personal, so I'm being a little vague. It's kinda just. Me and my siblings right now.

My mom's dogs are also very distressed, one of them is having seizure issues because getting him his medication on time is challenging since my mom handled that. Her other dog had troubles eating so she used to hand feed her, but now that she's not around to do it she won't eat. She's a bit older, so we're worried about her.

I'm also fairly young. I won't say how old I am but I'm in my 20s so I'm not really prepared for any of this. We have a lot of issues to sort out like phone plans, bills, her house, her car, and all her like. Special retirement and life plan stuff and what not. Dying costs a lot surprisingly, and the funeral costs alone are over $10,000 USD. That's not a typo nor a joke. Everything's been so impersonal and hard. Going through catalogues and discussing plans with the funeral home they talk about it like it's buying a used car.

Of course aside from the logistics side of things, like the bills and figuring out how to get the money together and how to be a fully sustainable and "got-my-shit-together" adult right out the gates, I'm also going through another death in the family. I've got very few people left. There are many things I wish I would've said or done or asked. I had a near complete breakdown, I'd go into details on things but honestly it's just. Really really sad even for someone else to just read. Even now I'm either barely functional or I'm in full repression mode. The dogs keep looking for her, it's incredibly heartbreaking. I keep "forgetting" what's happened and why I feel so weird and why certain people are here or why I can't do certain things.

When I lost my dad, I lost my ability to tell time and dates. That's also not a joke. The grief effected my entire life until this point. I'm intellectually and emotionally stunted for a number of reasons, that included. I have been diagnosed with PTSD from how things happened with my dad. I'm not a well adjusted adult. I've had so many setbacks and issues that I'm basically in my third childhood now. I'm worried as to what will happen to me mentally following this. I've never been very stable. I've got a lot of issues.

Baseline, I'm not well right now. Things are going to be very hard in the coming days. Idk what's going to happen with everything. Financially, I don't make much and my siblings don't make much either. We don't have a lot of time to come up with the money and there are a lot of other considerations to make. Emotionally is one thing, but I don't even know if I'm going to have a home or internet. I think I will. But it's hard to think about just now. I'm not sure if I'll be posting donation links bc it's a lot of personal IRL information but if I run out of options I'll post about it I'm sure.

Though as someone who has always loved hearing ghost stories I've never noticed any class disparity in haunting stories. I mean, if anything there are tons of hauntings that were with rich people, they just had the money to dump into trying to get rid of them or cope instead of just being forced to leave. idk I'm just not sure what I think of that second part. There's a lot of propositions for how ghosts could work and most of them do not involve vengeful spirits having free reign of the earth to attack those who wronged them so, assuming that they do exist, chances are they wouldn't work like that. There's usually a lot of stuff with being tied to certain areas or with needing access to enough energy to impact the physical world and whatnot, which if true rich people are the most likely to be able to take steps to avoid if it became at all necessary.

anyway sorry to be kinda contrarian lol. Maybe I sound kinda silly for this but I just find the topic fascinating and also believing in ghosts makes haunted/supernatural seeming stuff less scary to me, for some reason. Plus it makes death less scary. So, y'know, a bit of personal bias I will admit. But I don't really know anything I'm just playing with hypotheticals. It would probably take a lot to convince me not to believe in them because its about the closest I have to the comfort of a religion, but I don't let that effect my life choices and I'm not gonna try to force anyone else to believe it.

Ogai Mori

Ability: Vita Sexualis

Ok, fun thing I found out, this guy's RLC's (real life counterpart) real name is Rintaro Mori, which is what we hear Elise call Ogai, so maybe that's his real name? Ehhh.... let's see.... his RLC was also a doctor... and the book he wrote "Vita Sexualis," follows the main character's sexual experiences through life. So... that's something. Idk how that pairs into Elise besides Mori's borderline obsession with dressing her up with a doll, but we're gonna keep on rolling cause I wanna finish this in good time. Ok.... it says he was never a pedophile, but he also wrote a book about an adult man who's love interest is a 16 or 17 year old girl named Elise. So, that's fun. Also, while the RLC joined the military and then became a surgeon, Mori's got it backwards, where he was a doctor, then went into the Mafia. (Which I do wonder why he did that.)

Ace

Ability: Madness of the Jewel King

There's nothing actually confirmed for this guy, but it is widely thought that his character is based off of Alan Bennett's play, "The Madness of George III." I was actually able to find more about "The Madness of King George," which is a play based off "The Madness of George III," but basically, it's a "fictionalized biographical study" of the later part of King George III's reign. I couldn't really find much else, and I don't really see how that ties into Ace, (I'm not caught up on my England history, sorry), so Ima just move on. He dies pretty quick anyway, and he was an asshole, so I'm not too upset.

Chuya Nakahara

Ability: Upon the Tainted Sorrow

I had to do a deeper dive into this poem, so this post is already taking a lot longer than I'd like, but it's fine. Oh damn, this shit is sad. Ima put a link to a Reddit post explaining it better here, but basically, it's a rather sad poem about depression and recognizing the depression, but not being able or not wanting to do anything about it. Maybe it has a connection to Chuya being betrayed by the Sheep? Seems like a stretch. Maybe about how he doesn't remember any of his early life because he kinda just came into being after Rando did what he did? Idk. It's not really enough for me to figure anything out. Let's see.... the little chant he does before he activates Corruption? That's a part of a poem his RLC wrote called "Sheep Song", which that definitely does have a connection with the Sheep.

Koyo Ozaki

Ability: Golden Demon

Koyo's RLC is actually a man, just like Kyoka's RLC. Actually, Koyoka's RLC was a pupil of Koyo's RLC, so that's fun. "The Golden Demon" is actually a really sad book as well. Basically, the main character falls in love with the daughter of a man who he owes money to. They get engaged, but her dad breaks it off so she can marry a wealthy man instead. The main character then falls into despair, abandons his studies, and declared he has ceased to be human. (Dazai?) Em.... I can kinda see the connection? I mean, Koyo didn't want Kyoka to be tainted by the light, which could be a connection to not being tainted by money? A stretch, but maybe.

(I'm not doing Paul Verlaine cause he's not in the anime yet and he's basically a copy of Chuya from what I've read, so fuck him)

Rando (Arthur Rimbaud, whatever)

Ability: Illuminations

So, this guy has a little bit to talk about, so if this jumps around a lot, it's cause I'm trying to cover a lot of shit. Ok. Let's go. His RLC is from France. His RLC and Paul Verlaine's RLC had a slight romantic relationship, but (Paul) was abusive, and Rando's RLC was shot by Verlaine's RLC, which is referenced in Rando being shot by Verlaine before the explosion. After Rando's RLC wrote "Illuminations," he quit being a writer. Chuya's and Verlaine's RLC were both inspired by Rando's RLC. "Illuminations" is actually a giant book of a bunch of different poems, and because of that fact, I'm not going through every single on and analyzing them because there's a ton of them. So.... not finding a connection that way I guess. Sorry.

Ryunosuke Akutagawa

Ability: Rashomon

Apparently, Akutagawa's RLC actually killed himself at 35, and he has a literary prize names after himself. So.... highs and lows. The gist of "Rashomon" is that it's about a man struggling with the temptation to steal food to survive. Much like what Akutagawa probably had to do before he joined the Port Mafia. Also probably why Rashomon is always seen as a creature with a mouth, and why Akutagawa always says it's always hungry. Akutagawa was given a villain role not just because of his character, but also because his RLC wrote a lot about criminals. Also, the relationship between Akutagawa's and Dazai's RLCs are switched, where Dazai's RLC was influenced greatly by Akutagawa's RLC, including Akutagawa's RLC's suicide. Ehh.... let's seeee..... The reason Rashomon comes from his clothes is because in the beginning of "Rashomon," the main character steals clothes from an old lady.

Ichiyo Higuchi

Ability: N/A

So... we don't actually know Higuchi's ability, but there is a book her RLC wrote called "Growing Pains," and it's actually kinda interesting? I'm not gonna summarize it, but you can read the plot from the Wiki here. However, I will talk about it. I've got two ideas from this. Either Akutagawa is supposed to represent Nobu, and it's the opposite, where Higuchi is drawn into the Port Mafia, or he doesn't and Higuchi was pushed into the mafia. Idk. There's not much else I can talk about on her, since the Fandom's kinda empty and the only thing I have to work with is the Wiki.

Ryuro Hirotsu

Ability: Falling Camellia

This guy and his RLC kinda fit well together? Hirotsu is a fighter, but he also seems like he could be one of those diplomatic guys in the government, and his RLC was actually a diplomat. (I think I'm pulling comparisons out of my ass on that though.) I couldn't actually find anything about a book or poem titled "Falling Camellia," but the Fandom says there is one.... So.... Idk. (It also says it's a really tragic novel) He did write a book titled "Black Lizard," and it's inspired by a character from one of Ranpo's RLC's books. And lemme just say, Hirtosu's RLC's "Black Lizard" is kinda insane. Basically, this woman has black blotches on her face, and it's probably more important in the actual novel, but not here. She marries this man who has had 6 other wives that left him because his father made advances on him. She has a kid with the dude, then the dude's father makes an advance on her and she poisons him to protect her child, then she throws herself into a well to commit suicide. Sooo.... yeah.... I think the Black Lizard only took the name.... Also, Hirotsu's RLC has a book titled "Imado Shinjyuu", which is technically translated to "Double Suicide at Imado," but the literal translation (which I got from Google Translate, so it's not exactly correct,) is "Next Time I'll Commit Suicide." A lot about "Black Lizard" and nothing about "Falling Camellia." Fun. Also, one other fun fact, that painting Hirotsu and Dazai sit in front of at the end of season 2? A real painting called "Landscape," which was actually made by Dazai's RLC. Isn't that fucking cool?

Michizo Tachihara

Ability: Midwinter Memento

(I'm aware this guy is a spy for some other group, but idk which group, so pls no spoilers. YouTube's already done enough.) Emmm... let's see... there's not really a lot for this guy, which is sad, cause I really like this character. (Also, mini fun fact, him and Karl have the same English va) The only important thing I can find is that his RLC's name isn't actually Michizo Tachihara, and that's just his artist/pen name. Which could tie into the whole spy thing? But tons of the other characters RLC's had different names, so I'm not gonna use that as an actual comparison. Um.... I couldn't find any summaries or analysis of "Midwinter Memento," and figuring out poems never was my strong suit, so I'm just gonna share the link from a Reddit post here, and y'all can try to figure it out I guess.

Kyusaku Yumeno

Ability: Dogra Magra

(Also, Q's gender is unknown, but if I mess up on pronouns, lemme know cause I do that sometimes, but for this post I'm just gonna use they/them and assume Q is non-binary cause.... yeah.) Q's RLC is actually a dude who used to work in a theatre that mainly focused on plays about supernatural events and gods. He later became an author, and actually got the pen name Kyusaku Yumeno from a description his father gave one of his stories. Dogra Magra is about a character that wakes up in a hospital with Amnesia, but soon comes to realize he was a part of an extremely horrific experiment done by a psychiatrist. You can definitely tell that Q got their ability for a reason. (Although, I do wonder if this means that maybe Q was experimented on?) Also, Q's RLC was greatly influenced by Lovecraft's RLC, so that's cool.

Motojiro Kajii

Ability: Lemonade

And now we get to this freak. I will say, his connection with his RLC and his RLC's book is so freakishly strong. Basically, his RLC had tuberculosis, and he wrote about his illness through a character in a book of short stories called "Lemon." In the same book, there's a story also called "Lemon" about the character going to a fruit shop and buying a lemon, then going to his favorite stationary shop and imagining the lemon is a time bomb. This has got to be the biggest connection between any character and their RLC I've seen so far. Holy shit, it's almost a carbon fucking copy. His RLC was sick, and that's why Mr. Lemon Bomber is so obsessed with death.

Sakunosuke Oda

Ability: Flawless

Oda, I'll make sure to make your part good. (I hope.) Oh.... wow.... there's not actually much about him... welp.... uh... His RLC, Dazai's RLC, and Ango's RLC were all actually kinda friends that hung out a bit, so that's something? "Flawless" is not really a connection piece? It's about a woman who marries a man through a matchmaker and she just can't stop complaining about him flawlessly. Eh.... let's see.... the book Oda is reading in the anime is thought to be "Kokoro," by Soseki Natsume. It's also not a really big connection. It's a three part story that's a part of a four book series (???), and it's basically about a young man and this older man, his sensei (kinda), interacting, and his sensei knows a secret about the young man's friend's death, and the third part is the sensei confessing this secret I guess.

Like, not to get all sappy over my mentor basically saying I'm doing good and that he wants to see me make something cool and push myself doing so but holy shit. Makes me happier than just about anything tbh, makes me feel like I'm doing something right here and pursuing jewelry. This guy who's been all over the world, seen jewelry done in more ways than i could think of, and has never fell short of doing something impressive everyday he sits down at the bench thinks that i am actually going somewhere with this, and actively wants to see me go wherever that is. He's shown that in other ways of course given how we talk about our jobs together, and how he's improved my skills so much since he started working here, and how he's got my back, believing in me and my abilities. But it's just crazy to kinda see that all said in just a little gift of some purple rocks.

I really hope i can impress him with what i end up making with those purple rocks. It's a little nerve wracking tbh cause i know i need to go several layers beyond my normal creativity to really get a wow from him but I'm also just extremely excited to have a project with a mission for someone who looks at my work like i do. The craftsmanship of my work will mean far more to me than whatever i make will ever be valued at, and he's been supportive of that drive since he got here.

Almost baffling looking back a year and a half ago when i was taking a data analytics certification course cause i wanted to leave this career for more money. If i leave jewelery now it'd have to be because i lost my hands, idk what else could possibly stop me now. Thank you coworker i wont name on the Internet

Headcanons - older Starlight

So, I’m not really sure where to write this under, but, here are some thoughts I have about how Starlight will be once she’s older. Which is not a thing that I’ll probably be doing as verse or anything or at least I don’t plan to just as I copy this over from her blog, but I wanted to write down a few thoughts.

If I were to give any ref to at least somewhat a character looking like how I might imagine her to look, the one that a quick search through a database gave me would be Blue Angel (/Blue Gal or Blue Maiden, which i think are pretty much the same only with a little different hairstyles and outfits? Don’t ask me idk yugioh at all -- all of them work pretty much) from Yugioh, though of course with the usual edits I’d have to do for haircolor, skincolor, probably eyecolor too.

She doesn’t grow as tall as tamaraneans usually are, which annoys her to no end especially when being compared to, or interacting with, any other tamaranean - especially Moonshot because she keeps a kinda occasionally-meeting-and-moreorless-disliking-one-another connection up with him (assuming she keeps staying on Earth or returns there after leaving for another bit of time)

She’s also staying rather flat chest-wise, which isn’t really much of a problem for her though, she finds it easier that way.

She likes the dark type of blue a lot (I would say royal blue maybe, though some of the pic results I get for it are a bit too dark, take the blue of these shoes here as somewhat the color I mean) and often has at least one part of her attire in that color, though she will still - and always - keep wearing a mix of all colors and keep as rainbow-y as possible.

Her haircolor and style change frequently, she tries out new colors almost weekly and can - thanks to her energy - make them vanish within moments when she got enough of them, and she’s often wearing two long pigtails when not trying out something new.

Starlight has by now either accepted to never find out what her other half is or she managed to learn it through something - but she’s definitely not searching anymore. And Earth has been the planet that, during all her travels, made her feel at home the most, which is why she chose to stay there.

She’s still not out for heroing nor doing bad, she’s just trying to live a more or less average life (with slight advantages like that she can just fly somewhere or easily lift a couch or car or whatever out of the way if needed).

She’s not doing anything at all to hide her abilities or that she isn’t earthen, she is proud of who she is and doesn’t hesitate to admit to it - even if that has before occasionally meant some trouble when people thought she’d be a good subject for experiments or the likes.

She isn’t as strongly disliking Starfire or any of the royal siblings anymore; they aren’t exactly close friends or anything but she by now has more understanding for their actions, even if it still feels like they left Tamaran without any care for it.

For a very short while, she had actually been kinda into Wildfire after he helped her with something - she quickly distanced herself again though after learning/realizing who he was

By now she is old enough to earn money, and ever since she can do so she’s basically hopping to any and all fields of work, trying out things but after a while longing for something else than the routine that set in and quitting her job to get a new one.

Outside of actual work, she also every now and then sells a few things she made, or at least colored, herself, and since she does a pretty well job with those, it’s giving a nice bit of money too.

While she has a home - not a tree - by now, she isn’t often there. Starlight likes to be around and meet people or experience events, so she’s often looking for some of these things instead of being home. Or occasionally she might even be off-planet, too; Earth isn’t always enough for her to keep to it. Besides, her all-time favourite snack comes from another planet and whenever her stock runs out, she needs to go and get a new batch.

Speaking of her home, you can bet that it’s very colorful - perhaps not from the outside since there’d be an owner of the building to be against that maybe, but at the very least on the inside. Her walls are definitely painted in various colors, there’ll always be brushes along with color for it standing in corners of the rooms in case she feels like a part of the wall needs a new color, a lot of the colors both standing ready in buckets and on the wall are glittery too; and her furniture and textile home-stuff will be as much colored as well. Also she will have a good batch of things with inspirational or funny quotes on it, because she likes those.

She’s using rollerskates (or blades, I can never remember which is which) like all the time by now, there aren’t many shoes she has that don’t have rolls below them. And for those that don’t, she also has boards that she can tie any shoe onto if she wants to use that pair but with rolls.

She tries as many things as possible of Earth, but while she has also tried those, she never understood the use of smoking, drinking or drugs. That’s probably because they don’t actually work, or not as much, on her as they do for humans, but Starlight isn’t really aware of that; all she knows is that she tried and saw absolutely nothing useful in it.

She still can’t really cook much, it just feels like a tedious thing to do and it’s much easier to go out and get food or even get it delivered.

If she ever finds a work that she sticks with that isn't just jumping between things, it'll either be Idol (singer, star, you know what I mean), some form of Internet Celebrity, or Fashion Maker (mostly, taking things and customzing them).

Currently 12am and some 11 hours ago I got back from a trip to Missouri. Was fun playing mini golf and staying up till 1am playing smash with my brothers and proceeding to be tired asf the next morning but I'm about as glad as someone could ever possibly be to return to Oklahoma lmao. I have like 4 days off work still and idk what I'm gonna do I don't really wanna just do nothing honestly but idk I don't have any ideas except just go for a walk or anything

Im kinda just ranting random thoughts now but honestly I like really hate working at kfc I have good coworkers but god I hate dealing with people and the stupid stuff that happens because funny corporation. Like having to take my one break 45 minutes into my shift without actually having any food and having to be hungry when id normally take one to eat because the manager literally had to do that to bring labor percents down or else they get yelled at by corporate overlords is frustrating to say the least, no hate on the managers though cause they work hard and don't deserve to get any shit.

I wish I could quit but I can't I need to save money which I've frankly been doing a really poor job at constantly blowing money I've taken out for savings and stuff . I kinda gotta get money so I can pay for drivers school cause here in the us you kinda need a car cause there's a major lack of public transport as compared to other countries. I really wish I could make money by doing just internet art stuff but honestly idk if that's remotely possible I could do like gift cards but that's not actual money that could pay for that and I'm not sure if I'd have the dedication or work ethic to complete pieces and stuff and on top of that I'm not confident enough in my art abilities to do so

Ffs the queen of swords always pops up. Anyway yeah I don’t see him getting into anything quickly. He could’ve in the past but I think past relationships left him drained af and feeling alienated. Past love life: welp. Do I really need to explain the 10 of swords. I think actually that he had all this past trauma and shit from relationships and even other shit he still hasn’t dealt with but there was no time to even process that because he had to get back to work and act like he was fine. I think he’s the type of person that buries himself in his career when he experiences traumatic stuff that he doesn’t want to deal with. And of course it’s easier when you’re busy 24/7 anyway. This relationship betrayed him in every way tbh but maybe it was a catalyst for better things to come though he still might not see this right now. What is he like in a relationship? When he’s in a relationship he really puts all his focus on that person and will go above and beyond for them. There’s a kind of masculine and feminine balance in him in the sense that he’s ready to be the go getter and take charge but there’s also a vulnerable energy and overflowing emotions. He works hard to take care of his person and make the relationship work . The only downside is he could possibly be too smothering to his partner or come on too strongly because of past shit and maybe too clingy for some people since in a relationship he really shows his softer side and he’s not as aloof as he is to others. He loves to have little house parties with his partner and have friends and family over with a ton of food and music.

For date ideas he’s down for anything but especially something “magical” maybe literally some place like Disneyland or pagan festival like beltane? That’s specific af but there’s a medieval type of energy and nature spirits and shit, he wants to do stuff he hasn’t done before and that might even be outside his comfort zone since G. Hobyah card is all about imaginary fears and getting past them. His worst quality is that I don’t think he knows how to express his anger in a healthy way. His type: this person seems to have had some messed up stuff happen to them in their past. Even when others were horrible to them they still kept their dignity and chose to still give to others instead of give in to bitterness and despair. It’s like the Phoenix where no matter how many times they metaphorically die, they can still rise up even better than before. I think they’re able to help heal others because they’ve been through the trauma themselves but they know how to be honest and blunt without being overly mean about it. They have a kid of tough exterior though I think from years of negativity from people that’s made them strong but also a little distant from people and they need a lot of time to themselves to recharge and get away from peoples bs. Honestly this seems a lot like Taehyung too lol I think he wants someone who’s been through similar traumas.

The ram keeps calling out to me that I think this persons way of showing love is a little aggressive but that’s what Taehyung likes in someone tbh. It’s not like actually showing love it’s hard to explain. It’s more so you know when someone tries to act like sarcastic and shit to hide the fact that they like someone? This person really protects Taehyungs hopes and dreams. Also they themselves obviously represent a dream that Taehyung thought was long gone and impossible. I think it can be taken literally too lol to mean that when Taehyung is being forgetful af. This person is that type of person who has your keys already when you think you lost them. They’re really the more responsible one in the relationship lmao helping him to be more organized and get his life together. The next set of cards I used to represent what his biggest turn ons are. There’s so much masculine and yang energy but then at the end you see this motherhood figure so it again really makes me think it’s a front and this person is so nurturing and that’s what really draw Taehyung to them. He loves the most that this person knows so much about the most random things and esoteric topics. They value tradition and stability but they also understand the need for growth and change they’re the perfect balance. Communication is really a big thing for Taehyung it’s a reoccurring theme in this. Someone who is very good at communicating and are action oriented. They say what they mean and mean what they say. It’s very important that they are their own unique individual self and have their own goals and skills and hobbies.

This person is probably a powerful manifester too and sets their intentions and goes after them. They have so much power and confidence also with the himself card they could be a dancer or love dance since he’s a dancer faerie they’re very much into creative shit. They seem very natural and not the type who got work done or wears too much makeup idk there’s like a wild energy lol like this bitch is from the damn forest. If someone attacked Taehyung this person would literally drop kick someone even if the person was bigger than them. you’re fine anon! it occurred to me i haven’t actually talked about them much here so i’ll fill you in

firstly, how theo can see pazu: theo comes from a family of the world’s greatest exorcists. the ability to see and interact with spirits comes from his bloodline. however, despite his family’s best efforts to raise him traditionally, theo desperately wanted a normal life and cut off anything supernatural from his life. he rejected his training and went to live with some family friends as a child that didn’t have powers. for awhile, he convinced himself he was normal; he landed a boring job, got a shoddy apartment, and dealt with normal, every day problems like anyone else would. the only reminders of his past were the weak spirits he’d see floating about or hiding in corners, but they never hurt anyone or tried to interact with him, so they were easy to ignore.

it wasn’t until theo inherited a plot of land from his family that things took a turn for the weird. he figured he’d flip it, seeing as it was a historical site and he could use the money, and neglected to heed the warning that came with it. the house was a cursed site that sealed away an immensely powerful spirit that theo’s grandparents had only barely managed to contain, and by giving it to theo they hoped one of two things would happen: one, he’d start taking the family business more seriously and learn what he could about exorcising this ghost once and for all. two, he wouldn’t go anywhere near the house due to his distaste for the supernatural, acting as a silent but effective guardian to the plot of land. theo, who didn’t even wait for the warning, went regardless, and that’s where he met the all-powerful spirit that had been sealed away, pazu.

the two became bonded and pazu began haunting theo for a number of reasons. A, having a mortal’s life force to latch onto meant he could leave the house, and like hell he was staying there any longer. B, the seal kept back more than just him, but a significant amount of spirits that were now free to roam the area. theo’s basically a magnet to those guys, and seeing as spirits in this world get stronger by consuming others, it’s like a never-ending buffet for pazu. C, he’s really, really fun to mess with.

as for how pazu died? any time theo asks, pazu changes the story. theo thinks it’s just to annoy him, but in truth, pazu doesn’t remember himself. i did just post a hint, though…

Top 10 Ninos in Miraculous Ladybug

Hey Everyone! 

Ever since Stormy Weather, Miraculous Ladybug fans around the world have always wondered who the best Nino is. However everyone knows Top 10 list are 10x better than that so we’re doing this instead.

In this list, we used a complex equation to calculate which Nino has the greatest combination of friendliness, superheroics, musical ability, directorial inability, loyalty, and that special something that makes them Nino.

This list had a lot of competition, so don’t feel too bad if your favorite Nino didn’t make this particular list! Plus if you guys reblog this with an essay telling me how wrong I am, the tumblr algorithm will actually promote the post!

10. Shell Shock

In 10th place, we have the superhero turned supervillain Shell Shock! Now although you wouldn’t think he has the qualities of being a Nino, considering how betraying your allies isn’t very friendly, but in his defense akumatizations are no ones fault but Hawkmoth’s. 

Plus this betrayal was the impetus for the Nino Retrieval Arc, which is fondly remembered as having some of the best fights in the show, including the very famous scene where the random citizens in a window drop their training weights and unleash their true power so they can restrain him and 2 other akumatized superheroes with little to no effort.

But the real reason he’s so low is because he’s just Carapace but Red, and turtles aren’t red. That’s silly. Shell Shock is just so silly

9. XY (Ripping off Luka)

On the surface, XY appears to be a talentless hack who clearly doesn’t care about music and is only in it for the money, and he is. But in his defense it’s also pretty clear the dude is obviously a product of his environment since his Dad is clearly the mastermind and even he doesn’t seem to think very much of XY.

Honestly the dude ought to become a better person and one of the best ways to change is to stop emulating his father and find better role models. So if he’s ripping off Kitty Section, specifically Luka, then maybe this could be the first step in the journey to becoming a better person like Luka.

Anyways, XY makes number 9 because of his potential 

8. The Right Half of Oblivio

Alright let’s address the elephant in the room about Super Penguino. It’s pretty obviously a stand in for something else, but the show couldn’t exactly say it explicitly since it is a kid’s show after all.

Super Penguino represents how Alya and Nino are mobile gamers.

Honestly considering that their best friends are console gamers, it makes sense that they may try to hide their hobbies, and as a console gamer myself, I agree. They should be ashamed.

But then again I thought it was a cool episode so it’s number 8 even though we barely see Nino until like the last minute

7. Boy in Spanish

Niño takes the number 7 spot on this list for obvious reasons

6. Silencer

Silencer may be a supervillain, but he’s more of an anti villain if we are being honest. Like honestly he was only trying to steal voices from bad people like XY (Who stole his music and insulted Marinette/his friends), Bob Roth (Who encouraged XY to do that and he is literally everything wrong with the music industry), The Mayor (Who is notoriously corrupt), and Ladybug (Remember when she killed Chat Noir during Hero’s Day on live TV?). 

Plus he was only really doing this to help his friends, which is pretty Pog.

Actually the only reason he isn’t higher is because he tries to silence people and that was literally the same thing the bad guys did in Footloose so not very Nino-like if you ask me

5. Bubbler

The Bubbler was literally only akumatized so he could throw his bro a party, and isn’t that the most Nino-like reason ever? Plus it was because of Gabriel Agreste, so can you really blame him?

Although we have to dock points off because he did send all the adults to the sky which is pretty messed up considering I am technically an adult now. Honestly the Bubbler sounded a lot more reasonable when I watched the episode in high school

4. Carapace

Taking number 4 on the list is everyone’s favorite Captain America Ripoff.

And his debut was really something! He actually 1v1ed an akuma without superpowers! He clearly took Ladybug’s advice to heart when she told him that “When you're facing a supervillain, strength doesn't make a difference. Courage and determination do.”

Plus his power is to protect his friends, and can you tell me a more Nino-like power than that? And his transformation sequence and music is a headbanger so it’s pretty obvious to tell that Nino’s under that hood.

Also he’s green. That’s the color turtles are supposed to be.

3. Viperion

Viperion barely edges out Carapace on the list since Viperion doesn’t need to protect his friends from danger. Instead, Viperion can stop the danger before it happens! It’s like Minority Report, and we all know how good of an idea it was in that movie!

It kinda sucks we didn’t get to see more of him in his debut episode, since Ladybug had to sideline Luka at first since she said “When you're dealing with a supervillain, it's better to have a partner with superpowers.” Although he was a hard carry once he did get superpowers! Literally Hawkmoth and Ladybug consider him the biggest threat when facing a group of heroes!

And like any good Nino transformation, the music is a bop, and having an instrument as a weapon really helps on the Nino ranking

2. Luka

The caring older brother who moonlights as a temporary Reptile Hero, Luka isn’t the only musically inclined friend of Adrien who had a crush on Marinette!

Honestly if you didn’t know any better you might think that Luka is actually Nino!

Luka is in almost everyway the best Nino, and he was a very close second to first. Honestly I had some trouble deciding between the two of them, but I think the number 1 pick is pretty unanimous in everyone’s minds

Before we get to the number one pick, let’s take a look at some honorable mentions

Nino Rota: An famous Italian composer whose work includes the Godfather Trilogy’s Score. However the fact he does not appear in Miraculous Ladybug disqualifies him from the top 10.

Saint Nino: Honestly idk anything about her but she was a Saint so I guess she was important. However the fact she does not appear in Miraculous Ladybug disqualifies her from the top 10.

Nino from Fire Emblem 7: She’s doing her best. However the fact she cannot read disqualifies her from the top 10.

1. El Niño

El Niño is a weather phenomena that occurs about every four years and is associated with a warm band of water in the Pacific Ocean which is accompanied by high air pressures in the western Pacific and low air pressure in the Easter Pacific.

It is also the first thing that comes up in Google when you look up Nino.

Honestly I debated putting it this high up on the list, but Nat Geo told me the El Niño in 2016 was associated with coral bleaching on the Great Barrier Reef, severe droughts in Africa, South America and parts of the Pacific and southeast Asia, and wildfires in Indonesia and Canada. I don’t live in any of those areas but El Niño scares me and for my own safety I decided to appease it by giving it the number 1 spot in this list.

here is my brutal honesty about being on hrt so far

Its very hard in unexpected ways. I am 25. And like. part of me feels like i really took a blender to my brain. The first several months i was on a roller coaster of emotions. It was kinda scary, i haven’t been a teenager for ummm a long time now! And suddenly i just had mood swings and depression and this feeling of no control again. I had a lot of freak outs and break downs. If i missed a dose it would do it all over again until i took more hormones. Kind of a nightmare! Not to mention the last two years have been the most turbulent of my life in a while since i was a child between buying a car getting a job and moving out all for the first time. I would say After having been on it for 11 months now i AM more stable. Mostly. Hard to say what is the physical hormones and puberty being hard and what is the rest of my life being hard (I told my psychiatrist i was the most anxious i’ve ever been in my life. She said I probably have ptsd and i’m just beginning to process it. Haha. Makes sense but very :(. So like i said I am Just Kinda Going Through It Right Now.)

I DO really like the effects of testosterone...When i’m home. When I’m alone and I don’t have to think about how i’m being perceived. I’ve been fighting with myself for 25 long years trying to find a way to like what i look like despite everything. I was beginning to and for that i feel a sense of loss because taking testosterone has altered how I look. I can’t say if it’s better or worse but it’s different than what i was finally becoming ok with so it feels hard to accept. And also it isn’t exactly aesthetically pleasing. It’s puberty. I have more facial hair but it’s patchy and shitty. I see it and feel bad for not shaving because i feel like i look unkempt and like a teenager. I try not to worry too much about it but if i dwell it sits in me. At the same time i get more and more irritated that no stranger correctly genders me BECAUSE i see the progress. I HAVE facial hair, my voice is deeper and Honestly my face shape has changed slightly. But Because i have boobs it is literally all moot it is so frustrating. I look and sound so different but it still hasn’t changed anything.

Even my voice changing is frustrating. I lost the ability to sing and haven’t regained it yet. Don’t know when I will. I have been trained to do a pleasant voice for customers and its higher pitched slightly so instead of pleasant my voice just cracks and dies.

Anyway. I am not like. idk. I very much have never thought about quitting hrt in this. That’s not what I want. It is just a journey and I am an adult who has already been on many a journey and it is frustrating to just have to start. Over. It feels like 3 steps back even though it is a step forward. I have to relearn how to be an adult in a different body that will only get further and further from what i grew accustomed to. It does feel like i have lost something to some degree even though i have also gained something else. It is so frustrating to have to tell literally every doctor i am transgender like a fucking. dentist? Does a dentist need to know i’m transgender? when they ask me every medicine im taking i tell them whether I want to or not. Some doctor’s ask me weird questions. Some people ask me weird questions. I am something from outside of their society. I am other from the every day. It is alienating. I wonder if I will ever feel at peace with this new me. I will because I must. I did before and I will again. But it feels like I’m cut in half and trapped in two worlds. I’m scared out of my mind about my new job and how I might have to explain myself to someone else. I literally just want to crawl into a cocoon and let myself grow and change until I am ready for other people to see and hear and know me, but instead I have to show the gooey gross transformation to any bozo in the walmart because I need toothpaste and any every freak at my job because I need money.

I don’t feel like a child but i feel like i lost the certainty of being an adult who was well and done with physical growing up. I don’t know what I’ll look like next year, much less in 5. My friends will look mostly the same. I’m rewinding my life. I knew it would be this way, and the reason i was so anxious to start was BECAUSE i didn’t want to postpone puberty 2 any longer but it still. Is hard. It’s different to know something than it is to live it.

Possibilities:

1. Sakura AKA Mitsuya 2:

Arguments in favor:

Was the fourth girl chosen for the group and the immediate choice for replacement if a member went missing and she knew it

Said she kept contact with Yamamoto during the time after she was rejected

Didn’t seem faced with Mitsuya’s disappearance (to be fair she barely knew her, but she’s super calm about it)

Had no problem with taking Mitsuya’s identity, in fact she seems kinda enthusiastic to take her identity (this reminds me of Perfect Blue lmao more on that later)

Didn’t seem faced with the fact that Mitsuya was found dead

Has some mysterious connection with Tanaka that hasn’t been explained and while that’s not really related it certainly makes me think there’s more to her than it seems

Seems pretty slick

Arguments against:

None I can think of...?

Actually yeah, one, idk how she’d knew where Mitsuya would be and how she’d enter the building

2. Yamamoto:

Arguments in favor:

Seemed to want Nikaido to be the center of the group as well

Was there around the scene of the crime

Quickly believed Nikaido’s innocence

Mitsuya might have called him to tell him that Nikaido asked her to reunite with her, where and when it was going to happen, probably because Mitsuya was scared or something

Had the yakuza on his phone and calling them was his first thought

Someone else pointed it out but Yano’s guess of how Mitsuya was murdered was by choking and so far the only physical ability Yamamoto has shown and his immediate method of trying to kill someone was trying to choke Odokawa with his belt

Arguments against:

He really doesn’t have a strong reason to do it, I can’t think of anything.

He pretty much gains nothing from the whole thing, actually it’s mostly negative consequences, and he should have known it would have been that way if he was going to have to make a deal with the Yakuza.

The deal is that Yano takes half of the earnings of Mystery Kiss and gets to use the girls in whatever way he wants, I really don’t know what Yamamoto gains from this.

I feel the reason both he and Nikaido didn’t want to report the crime was because they wanted to continue the group no matter what. Yamamoto seems genuinely passionate about making the group work. So doing all this, knowing it could end badly and that it’d have such big costs with no rewards doesn’t really make sense to me...? 

3. Imai:

Arguments in favor :

Would have wanted Nikaido to be the center of the group and I feel he’d be willing to kill for her lmao

This would link the plot of the bank robbery and the murder wooow it’s all connected

OK I’m gonna get meta here and in fact most of my arguments for Imai are meta, but I’m a bit intrigued by how he doesn’t have much going for him. He’s a nice guy and he’s involved in the lottery thing, that’s it. There ARE unambiguously nice characters in the show like Baba or Taeko, but Imai intrigues me since he’s gonna be a main player in the climax of the show yet he hasn’t shown any depth, and for the next reason:

Characters with obsessions in the show have been depicted with how those obsessions have consumed them in one way or another and made them either self-destructive or just destructive. Kabasawa’s social media obsession was self-destructive. Tanaka’s gacha obsession was self-destructive and destructive. Kakihana’s obsession with getting laid was self-destructive and predatory. Nikaido and Yamamoto’s obsession with trying to make Mystery Kiss keep going no matter had big consequences against them. Then there’s Imai, whose main, biggest defining trait is that he’s a big idol fanboy, and he’s obsessed to the point of spending all his money on trying to win the lottery just so he can keep buying idol stuff. It’s a bit weird how this has been portrayed so far very neutrally. The show pulled no punches on the realities of many things, many characters are hiding something, I feel Imai might be more than meets the eye.

Arguments against:

I have no idea if he knew that Nikaido wouldn’t be the center or how he’d get to the building or know where Mitsuya would be

He seems kinda dumb to commit a crime, but it might an act?

My personal guess it was both Sakura AND Imai. I really don’t think Yamamoto did it.

I mentioned that Sakura wanting to take over Mitsuya’s identity reminds me of Perfect Blue, Imai’s idol obsession also kinda reminds of it. I feel they’re going that route. I can imagine them working together.

Or maybe not and he’s just a normal fanboy lmao who knows I’m just brainstorming here
