Slumber party question! What's your earliest memory of encountering beauty? The first thing you can recall where you looked at something and were struck by how beautiful it was?

#i'm asking because i heard 'colors of the wind' today #and i remembered when i was little #i saw a commercial for pocahontas in front of one of our movies #and it showed 'colors of the wind'#and i distinctly remember a shot where she's standing on a cliff with her hair streaming back and leaves swirling around her #and thinking it was the most beautiful thing i'd ever seen in my life #(i didn't see the movie until i was much older and was very underwhelmed)#i also recall going to a county fair where a woman was selling doll clothes #and there was a pink dress with a skirt made of layers and layers of lace #i thought it was the most beautiful dress in the world and mom got it for me #(at a time when there was not much spare cash)#the other earliest moment is a memory of getting to walk beside my mother as she went to communion #and being so happy because my church had stained glass windows showing the mysteries of the rosary #so the front right corner showed the coronation of mary #and i thought that window was the loveliest thing i'd ever seen #it was the beautiful window into heaven only grown-ups got to see but this was my chance

#poll #pagan #paganism #I'm curious because I have a lot of pagan friends with religious trauma but like #for years I went back to my childhood church on college vacations and for Christmas eve because it was such a positive community #as I was growing up #my family was never particularly dogmatic or fervent in their Christianity #we prayed at bedtime and before meals but it wasn't dragged into every aspect of life #and I was just brought up with a very Loving Jesus; Be Nice To People form of Christianity #my childhood church had a lesbian youth pastor who married her wife there (when I was in college and it was legalized in TN)#it just. wasn't what I ultimately thought about the world #so I'm not a Christian anymore even though my experience of growing up Christian was pretty positive all around

#ramarl #phantasy star online #long tag warning lol i rambled #so i was introduced to phantasy star online #i think its safe to say i really enjoy the game #thank you mr crow for showing me this game :D i have new creatures to scribble now #there shall be more of these doodles #i promise you that #meant to post this wayyyyy earlier today but uh #my car broke down :') ....again :')#last week it wouldn't turn on and the headlights weren't working so we were like ''ok this is a battery issue and i need a new one''#because jumping the car didnt fix it #so we took my old battery to a shop and they tested its charge before showing us which new one we should get #but the battery had charge???????? so we went back home to troubleshoot #and then found the hooks(?idk what they're called) that connected the battery to the car had something corroded on them #so we grabbed a can of coke and scrubbed away #hooked the battery back up and bam car was working #so the issue was those hooks #until two days ago when my car didnt work again #looked at the battery again and the hooks came loose; tightened them up and bam car working again #and now at this point I'm scared to go anywhere cause what if i get stranded on my own??#so this morning i said ''alright I'm gonna drive myself to church just to be sure that my car works''#AND WOULD YOU GUESS WHAT HAPPENED #at this point i just wish the damn battery was dead and that i could replace it and move on from this #i know they're a bit pricey but jesus this is exhausting #but i can't just buy a new battery if im not sure that's the actual problem because then I'd have a battery and nothing to do with it #i hate having a car sometimes i just want a bus system #or a jeep #but preferably a bus system #sorry rambles thats a long way of saying i didnt post this earlier because ive been working on my car lol

Control over time

#ramble in tags! this is my current idea for what Mao is doing in the current arc #because unlike Fumiko Mao actually cares about Denji and Nayuta outside of just being people she should be around because of her job/#agreement with Public safety. so she wouldn't abandon Nayuta in the middle of that mob like Fumiko did #anyways backtracking a bit. So when Fumiko arrived at Denji's apartment as it's being burnt down by Barem and the weapon hybrids #she brings Mao (devil form) along with her instead of the random PS backup dudes #(she went after her in the time she split from Denji and Nayuta. as before that Mao was dealing with the followers at the csm church #alongside Katana and Nail. she tried to see if she could revert the transformed humans back to normal but it's sorta like fiend logic #so she couldn't do much other than cure their injuries since they're pretty much just devils by that point)#back to present time. Fumiko sends Mako to attack Barem #she injuries and throws him to the ground but then Whip appears and makes a huge dent in a side of her head before cutting Mao in half #hence why the blood and ripped clothes she has in this drawing #so Mao is down. temporary as she isn't fully dead but can't to much other than keep moving the clock pointers around and regenerating #Barem tries to choke Nayura and Fumiko shoots him in the head. then the fight between Denji and the weapons + the subsequent mess #with the random citizens attacks him happens pretty much the same #Fumiko leaves Nayura on her own and when she looks to the side she sees Nao crawling in her direction #she asks her to give her some time and she'll be able to fight again. so Nayuta starts killing people and by the time Barem gets the mob #to go kill her Mao is back at full strength and fights back to defend her. subsequently the two of them escape #so Mao is helping Nayuta on whatever she's currently doing. if she's alive that is #if it does turn out that Nayura is dead dead then i may leave Mao with the devil hybrids for the time being. they have a weird relationship #csm #csm oc #chainsaw man #csm part 2 #hyena scribbles #Mao Masashige #Nayuta csm

So Lis/Lisbet (more commonly known as "Lu", her codename) was one of Vic's first victims when he started working on his own. At the time, Lu was a secretary at a law firm. Unbeknownst to her, her bosses owed money to a local mob boss, and Vic was hired to "apply pressure". By pure coincidence, Lu was the unlucky target. Her torture was recorded and sent to the firm, and it was roughly three weeks before the money was coughed up and she was released.

Her captivity resulted in the loss of her right hand and most of her left leg, and a pregnancy. With Lu not being in a healthy emotional or mental place, the baby was raised by Lu's sister and her husband. Meanwhile, Lu decided she was sick of feeling like a victim and began devoting her time to training, getting physically stronger, and hunting down Victor Shepard.

While her family was very supportive for the first few years of her recovery, most of them were horrified by her desire for revenge. Despite being raised in a close-knit Catholic family and being religious herself, Lu quickly became disgusted at her family's urging to forgive Vic and move on. The only relative who didn't shy away was her cousin Adrien (also known by his codename, "Uriel")

The two were close as children, and Adrien wanted revenge for Lu as much as she did. He not only listened to Lu's violent fantasies, but encouraged them, offering ideas of his own. As a former Marine, he had training to back him up, and helped Lu on her own journey, swiftly becoming her second in command and the most trusted person in her life.

Through the years, Lu tried to maintain routine visitation with her child, but the visits always felt strained, and gradually her goal took over and she came over less and less.

Years later, Lu's son (then going by Leo) sought her out. His aunt had warned him that Lu was going down a dark path, but he was desperate to form some kind of connection with her. He knew the basics of what had happened to his mother, but at her own request, he'd always been told that his father had passed away before his birth. Lu welcomed him aboard, finding it easier to foster a connection when he could be viewed as a soldier and not her son. When he came of age, she welcomed him into her group officially, granting him the codename Gabriel.

Though Vic is her target, Lu and her angels also chase after people like him, capturing and killing them in the name of avenging those who have been lost or had their lives destroyed.

In canon, Lu briefly captures Vic, but he escapes before she can do any real damage. However, in this AU, she manages to contain him, and gets the revenge she's sought for so long.
