Not me seeing so much discourse about whether sukuna is a well written villain or not... he essentially has no backstory shown as of yet and we barely know anything about him but he is still one of the most naturally interesting and compelling characters in the whole damn series bro 💀 buckle up bc its about to get lengthy (im just glazing sukuna in this post ngl so 🧎‍♀️)

so many whiny ass mfs are weeping about how he "doesn't have any personal goals or a proper reason to be a villain" when that is the whole point???? He lives on his own desires and satisfactions and does whatever he wants to, because he is capable enough to do that. Mfs want "real villains" but cant even handle sukuna 💀 ive seen too many shit ass threads and poorly articulated "critiques" on his character that dont make any valid points. If you can't even separate your personal dislike of a character from your analysis of their writing, dont even bother posting that shit please 😭😭😭 the fact that we haven't even gotten any information about his background yet and people are jumping the gun about him being "poorly written" is already saying a lot 🤨

The fact that yall are so bitter and angry about him that you can write 500+ words about how oh-so-terrible of a villain he is kinda proves that he's doing his job well tbh 💁‍♀️

What also bothers me to no END is how people compare him with villains of other series, who had compelling sob stories that made people empathise with them. Thats nice and all but why should all villains have grand ideals and be subject to feelings of empathy/sympathy from their audience?

Part of what makes sukuna so interesting is how he's not tied down by morals, rules or long term goals in life. He doesn't limit himself, which is what makes him an unpredictable character. He's completely left behind what it means to be human in many ways, and he's clearly not a character written to be empathised with. He is very purposefully inhumane and distant from everyone else, and that feeling transcends from within the series to real life as well. There is a clear lack of understanding bc most of us can't comprehend what its like to just live without being goal-oriented.

Sukuna is a true anomaly in the sense that he doesnt really fit in any kind of box within the series. He's born from man, but its clear that he separates himself from humans (and nobody else considers him human, either). He's not a cursed spirit. He hovers between life and death. The narrator referred to him as the honoured one, whilst angel referred to him as the disgraced one.

These little contradictions in his character make him all the more complicated and interesting to think about. And even recently, he's been shown to waver a little bit momentarily in the manga, questioning his own irritation at yuuji. He's capable of self reflection, and though sukuna does whatever he wants for the most part, he doesn't blindly go into things without some thought first, he's a constant thinker and analyser, and an intelligent one at that.

And honestly, he is always such a joy to watch and read, his personality is so flavourful, and the way he carries himself is very attractive. He's not afraid to get messy or of getting hurt, theres so much chaos in the way he does things and yet he also has a huge element of gracefulness to him, which shines through the poetic way he speaks. Its undeniable that sukuna simply oozes charisma...

And this isnt talked about enough but this man is genuinely so effortlessly funny (in a kind of sinister way i guess?) Like yes he is an old ass man having real beef with one FIFTEEN YEAR OLD for very little reason, he accidentally healed yuujis arm and somehow expected him to be grateful for it despite how he literally ripped his heart out afterwards, then he proceeded to sit on him after kicking him down likeeee 😭 what kind of behaviour is this sir

His facial expressions at yorozus yapping 💀 THE WAY HE COMPARED YUUJIS FACE OF DESPAIR TO THE HARIMA STATUE 😭😭😭💀😭💀💀😭 omg that was so foul but i was fucking losing it ngl

anyway. some thoughts about season 2 in no particular order (spoilers ahead!!)

i was pleasantly surprised by the ending! wasnt expecting them to commit that hard

this might be controversial but. i kinda wish they had omitted the last 7ish minutes of the finale. you know the cutoff point im talking about. maybe im just a masochist but like..... that climax was SUCH a gut punch, and since they didnt use the last few minutes to really get closure on any of the Big Stuff, i think it wouldve had more impact to just leave it hanging. like. i cannot describe to you the high that i was on when it faded to black on jayces hammer on the roof and i thought the credits would roll. leaving it there would have left a gaping hole in my chest for the next 3 days, but then the ending softened the blow while still leaving things pretty open-ended. booooo 👎

i liked the conclusion to viktors arc a lot. the way eliminating pain and death goes against nature itself...... aughhh. i fucking love tragedy dude. people you love will suffer and theres nothing you can do about it. you cant erase the bad things that happened to someone without erasing the person they are today - even if it was unfair and it shouldnt have happened. viktor was blinded by his vision of a perfect world without suffering, and the only one who could help him see that was jayce...... you didnt need to be fixed....... and then!!!! putting everything back to how its supposed to be means accepting that they were doomed from the start. viktor was already dead twice over and the hexcore was only delaying the inevitable…… they suffered and died and their lifes work was all for nothing but they were partners to the very end!!!!!! im gonna be sick

actually can we talk about the implication that everything would have turned out okay if vi had died that day. how fucked up is that...... (well. okay for the undercity anyway. i guess we dont really see much of the pilties side except for the boarded up lab. so i guess the outlook isnt great for jayce and viktor...... but even then they obviously havent destroyed the world so. theres that.) kinda wish they had done more with that as a concept, but mostly im just glad that it wasnt powder who was killed to make everything turn out okay. that would have been genuinely really upsetting

and im so glad ekko got more screentime this season <3 i do really wish we had seen more of ekko and jinx together as kids though....... i looove timebomb but a lot of the appeal is their history together. what could have been........ obviously the alternate timeline provided some of that but they had no screentime together as actual kids!! just wouldve been nice to see that yk......

actually i think all around the show couldve used more filler (as in, scenes that develop the characters and relationships without forwarding the plot). i wouldnt say the pacing was too fast, it didnt feel rushed or underdeveloped at all, but with such a huge cast it wouldve been nice to have some more time with them yk? and the pacing is definitely on the faster side so you could afford to slow it down a little. the character interactions that are there are VERY strong though so i really cant complain. like - i wish we had seen jinx and ekko playing together as kids, but the scene where they fought on the bridge established that dynamic as it became relevant and it was fucking AWESOME. i just tend to prefer a little more downtime personally

with how many posts i saw about the 'i just want my partner back' scene i honestly cant believe i avoided getting spoiled on how it ended

hiiii anon!!!!! i think its an infatuation. in the way that vegas is infatuated and lusts for power. see, he may Think that he has some ~feelings~ for porsche, but i think deep down, its heavily laced with his need to show/have/exert power and get one over kinn. in the novel, vegas' inferiority complex up against kinn is very neatly discussed, so i take it as that. of course, vegas is a master manipulator, and its so ........ oh so Convenient, isnt it, that WHENEVER porsche is down, vegas just Happens to be there to pick up the bits and take advantage. and he knows his ~sob tragic backstory~ will work on porsche to get porsche onside. because thats what its always been about with vegasporsche: to get porsche onside.

so yeah. maybe on the surface, there are some tender little feelings, but its where they stem from, and it all stems from having what kinn has. IF the show goes by what the novel did and we do get pete to see what Clips vegas has on his computer, and if they ARE the clips that they should be like they were in the novel, then my take will be even more solidified, that in fact, pursuing porsche is just for a power trip to get one on kinn. to have what he has.

but yeah. with pete, its a Very different story. and i think vegas is just highly amused that Pete is the one spying on him when both he AND pete himself know how shit of a job he's doing at it, and yet, he still does it out of duty dhfjsid. and i think vegas just finds that cute and funny, but i think he also lowkey admires pete's relentless efforts and he somewhat .... admires how honestly and viscerally pete's body reacts to him. he somewhat likes how much of an open book pete is to read, how easy it is to read pete, how much of an innocent little lamb he is. and yet he's the only one who can stomach his darkness.

and speaking of pete's relentlessness. i hope its a trait that stays when vegaspete Really get going. that vegas becomes attracted to pete's relentlessness and how stubborn and resilient he is towards vegas, later on. that he won't back down from vegas. i waaaanntttt vegas to go INSANE over that.

and so its suuuuper .... interesting that, pete himself in ep 10 says that HE will go to vegas' place, despite knowing what that means. yeah its a duty, but this time no one's placed him to do it, he himself has chosen to do it. and so, you gotta reap what you sow, right? and i think pete knows the risk and the consequence and that if this goes pear shaped, the aftermath won't be great. but i dont think he in his wildest dreams would have guessed the extent to how dark vegas' abyss is.

and yettttttt. he cannot look away!!! pete cannot look away from vegas!!!!!!! and i bet you that pete himself never in his wildest dreams would have ever known about the depth of his own desires, to which he'll become so aware of. and THAT ... what THAT in turn does to vegas ...... is where the real deal lies.

and so it Thoroughly entertains me and feeds my soul that vegaspete are That Couple who'll in one breath be together in an act of worship and talk about devoting themselves to one another to meet in the next life, and then in the next breath, they'll be tearing each other apart and ruining each other and awakening a lust and desire so deep within them both that was untouched for this long, that has Nothing to do with Getting One Over Kinn or the family politics or anything else. its just all stemming from their own pure carnal feelings for one another.

so yeah. im tryna think of analogy here to explain my thoughts. ig religion is the easiest one, and one i Love for personal reasons but also bc the show itself is using it too.

i think to vegas, porsche = infatuation. porsche represents all the power and dominance that vegas wants. the wordly stuff. the materialistic stuff. that no matter how much you have of it, it still doesnt fill that void. pete = devotion. pete will go on to represent everything within vegas that was once a void but has now been filled. a true spiritual shift that he cant live without. where vegas can be wholly himself, both good and bad, and find some form of peace and completeness from, whilst still being accepted for who he is and staying true to himself.

He said it was easy to fall in love with you. He said he didn’t know when exactly, at which place, nor for what reason. Simply one day, Ushijima Wakatoshi found himself looking at you with the epiphany that maybe there’s something more meant to happen between you and him. There you stood before him that day, the person he could promise love to. (And there he stood before you that moment, the boy whose promises you found yourself believing in no matter what.)

So maybe that’s why it was even easier for him to fall out of love. When he told you he was no longer in love with you, it didn’t matter to you to ask when exactly, at which place, or for what reason. Even the universe itself is meant to fizzle out one day along with the death of the stars. Just one more person drifting away from you like a lone planet with no real orbit shouldn’t leave you broken. You are used to this. You won’t fall apart.

But you break anyway.

It was snowing outside when he decided to tell you to end things now before it hurts both of you even further. Not that the snow has anything to do with the coldness creeping up your chest threatening to spill out of you in endless sobs. You were glad, though. That at the very least, he remained honest with his feelings. He never left you guessing. Every time, he never forgets to tell you what’s on his mind. His honesty is something he thought was necessary.

“I understand, don’t worry. Thank you for telling me right away. I know you’re also considering me–” you tell him and choke up. There are tears running down your face but you’re not worried about that. Wakatoshi never let you mask your emotions around him. For the longest time, he reminded you to feel free to be completely bare with him. All the good and the bad, he said. Don’t be afraid to show them to me. I will always understand.

He steps closer and puts you between his arms. You feel his chin on top of your head as you lean your face into his chest. You’re sobbing now. “I’ll be fine, Toshi. We’ll be fine.”

He kisses the top of your head and lets you stay in his arms for minutes. “I loved you then, and I love you still. It’s just that they’re no longer the same kind. I will stay if you ask me to, okay? Anything you want.”

This only makes you cry harder. He’s always been too good. And even in breaking your heart, he’s too good. You want him to hold on. You want to ask him to stay with you for years and years. Even with a different kind of love, you’ll let him be as long he’s close by. But someone like him who has dreams beyond yourself shouldn’t ever be with someone like you who still lacks certainty toward anything.

“Just for tonight,” you ask, still crying. “Can I stay?”

“of course,” he replies. Anytime you want. Anything you want. It has always been this way.

Because humans are creatures of routines and familiarity, you spend that night the way you usually do when you’re at his place. You cook dinner with him and eat on the dining table, sharing stories and laughter. You keep adding food to his plate and he smiles as you giggle at everything you find funny.

It’s okay, it’s okay. You’ll be okay. You’ll be fine.

You clean the kitchen and stay in the living room. He leans on the couch as you lay down with your head on his lap. You keep talking and laughing. He goes along, sometimes adding things to make you laugh even more, sometimes simply agreeing, sometimes asking questions. You keep it loud and light, afraid of the silence. Inside you, it’s so heavy, your heart might just fall off. This will be the last, you tell yourself. You want to be happy for now. While he’s still here.

"Do me a favor, okay?" You tell him as you're nearing slumber. "Let me leave first tomorrow. Maybe stay in bed, maybe pretend you're asleep. But tomorrow, don't get out of the room until I've left the house." Your voice shakes, feeling yourself wanting to sob.

"I don't want to wake up to another empty bed but I don't want to see your face when I wake up too," you curl into him even further. "I'm sorry for being selfish. I'm sorry I still don't really know what to do. And I know you wake up pretty early and you know, do stuff, but just for tomorrow, please?"

Wakatoshi didn't really understand why. He originally planned on cooking breakfast for you and taking you to the train station. He would watch you board the train and he'd make sure to smile at you as he waves. You always waved back. That's how it works. Even after fights, and even after especially bad nights, you'd still do the same. Watching you leave with a smile was how you both knew you'd still be fine the days after. That nothing much can affect your relationship. For years, this has been the routine.

But tomorrow, he knows he has to give way. He knows what he said hurt you. It would be wrong of him to do what he wants simply because he's used to.

Tomorrow's the last, he realises. And then if you want, he'd never see you again.

You wake up pretty early. The sky is a calm shade of blue, the world outside still waking up. You check the time on your phone and find it's 6 AM. Last night, you slept with your back on him. The sight before you is the other end of his bedroom and you notice just how much of yourself you've managed to leave around his place. Pieces of just one other person in his life, scattered in places around his world pretending that’s just where they belong. You didn't mind leaving things behind back then. You never really thought of the day that you might’ve to take back all of them. Just how does one pick up parts of themselves when they thought they’ve finally found a place for them to stay?

But as you stand up, you conclude that when things end, traces shouldn’t be left behind. He didn’t decide to break up only to be reminded of you even after you’re no longer close to him. So you go and pick every little thing that's yours. Even your jacket and sweaters and a few pairs pyjamas in his closet. You'll just take his things from your place too and hand it to Tendou's shop. Coming back here won’t do you any good. Him coming to your place instead wouldn’t either.

Collecting all your things, even the ones you can't use anymore, you leave the bedroom and enter the living room. You don't have many belongings here aside from some DVDs and books. You only take the books and leave the rest for him. You've always preferred reading anyway.

Setting your bag and things aside on the sofa, you go ahead and wash yourself in the bathroom and bring your toothbrush and some other products with you when you're done. You then head to the kitchen to cook him something light to eat for breakfast . You knew you didn't have to. He knows how to cook. It has always been him cooking breakfast for you. When you could, you’d rather stay in bed until the very moment you must start preparing to go to uni or work. But you did anyway. He's probably in his bed, awake. He has never been a heavy sleeper. With all the moving you did around his room, he was bound to wake up if he wasn't already.

You make him a simple omelette and write a small message on top of it with ketchup. "Good luck with practice today!"

You've already cleaned everything you used, preferring to wash and set utensils as soon as you're done with them. That way, when you're sitting down to eat, there won't be any cluster around to distract you.

You put the ketchup down and decide that should be enough. You'll stop here. You should go now.

Ushijima is sitting on his bed. He's been awake since 5 AM when he usually goes on his run. It isn't the first time he chose to stay with you instead of going out, but he can't help but feel heavy this time. He stayed in for you. But as the minutes pass by, it seems that he simply cannot find the courage to sit up and face you.

He wants to sink into his bed.

There's knock on the door followed by sentences uttered softly. "Toshi, I'm going now. There's breakfast on the table. Make sure to eat before you go."

There goes the heavy feeling again. Maybe if this keeps up, he might just actually sink and never get back up.

You've done that a few times. Leaving while he's still in the room. You don't even open the door. You simply knock and tell him you're about to go, always reminding him to eat before he goes too.

But this will be the last, he thinks. If you leave now, will he never see you again?

Overall Comments

it seems 9-1-1 is still adhering more to the format of emergency calls, while Lone Star is more fleshing out the MCs' storylines.

i don't think one is better than the other necessarily, but i do miss having more consistency with Lone Star's format. but the storylines they're working with are pretty damn good and they're actually making me CARE abt the first responders' lives outside of the job. given that the show is meant to be centered around the job.

in 9-1-1 i'm usually less invested in the non-emergency storylines but i think that's because it feels like an afterthought for 9-1-1 while for Lone Star it's more of the focus now. that's interesting.

although, Lone Star focusing more on MC storylines does mean we see some character wayyyyy more than others and i don't like that very much. i miss seeing more of marjan and paul and all of them cause it feels like we're focusing so much on owen, judd's family, and even tk. love them all and love their plotlines.

just wish there was a better character balance in Lone Star. but the same could be said for 9-1-1 sometimes so yknow 🤷

This is still in that same little mini-series with Sansy and the same Reader he picked up at the grocery store. (I really don’t need to connect all these together, but I’m writing them all on the same day and I feel like it, so…) Enjoy! There’s one more Sansy one after this!

You and Sansy had been going out for a few weeks now. You’d had that first “date” of pizza and banana splits, of course, and the date at the animal shelter. Since then, you’d had lunch a few times and he’d invited you to dinner with his brother. Sweets was a delight, if a bit loud and enthusiastic, and you’d loved seeing the brothers interact. They were so funny and sweet together. You’d cuddled and hugged and held hands, but you hadn’t kissed yet. It was a little soon for that, or to say the L word, but you could feel yourself falling for your punny bonefriend.

Maybe that was why you’d insisted that it was your turn to plan the date today. Sansy had treated you long enough. It was your turn!

You hummed happily as you walked through the grocery store, smiling as you passed the pizza aisle. No frozen pizza for you tonight! You had a plan. You checked your phone again to make sure you were getting all the ingredients. Luckily, Sweets had sent you a very thorough shopping list.

Sansy called once you got home, while you were starting your plan. “Hey,” you said, putting the phone on speaker so you could keep stirring. “How’s it going?”

“Pretty good, pretty good. How are you, cher?”

“Good!”

“Are you cooking?”

“Yeah.”

“What is it?”

“Date night surprise,” you said with a grin. “You’ll just have to wait and see.”

“Aww, really?” You could practically see his pout. “You can’t tell me anything? I mean, should I be in the mood for Italian or Mexican or what?”

“Not telling!” you singsonged. “You’re just gonna have to wait and find out!” Something beeped. “I’ve gotta go, sweetie. I’ll see you tonight. Six on the dot, okay?”

“I’ll be there.”

You hung up and went to deal with the beeping thing, then went back to the stove. The meal you were making was going to take all day, but it was going to be so worth it just to see the look on Sansy’s face. You wiped the sweat from your forehead and went back to cooking.

At six o’clock on the dot, you opened the door and let Sansy in. You watched his face light up as he smelled all the good, good smells that filled your house. “Cher,” he said, looking at you, “did you make gumbo?”

“I sure did!” you said. “Come on. Come and taste it!” You grabbed him by the hand and led him into the dining room, where you’d set the table. Not only had you made gumbo, but you’d also made salad, cornbread, corn on the cob, rolls…You had prepared a feast! Not only that, but you’d made enough that Sansy could have multiple servings if he wanted, and there would be enough for him to take leftovers to share with his brother. You beamed at him. “What do you think?”

To your horror, your boyfriend’s sockets filled with tears. “What?” you asked. “Don’t you like it? Sweets said it was your favorite. I thought—”

Sansy flung himself at you, hugging you hard and burying his face in your chest. “I love it,” he sobbed. “I just—cher, ya didn’t hafta…I…” He was overwhelmed with tears.

You held him closer and hugged him. “Shhh,” you murmured, rocking back and forth. “Shh…it’s okay…”

“I’m just so…I wasn’t expecting…”

“I’m sorry. If I’d known it would affect you like this, I would’ve warned you.”

“Ya couldn’t’ve know. I didn’t tell ya…” Sansy sniffed hard and looked up at you. “There’s a lot about me I haven’t told ya yet, cher. Didn’t feel like it was the right time to do it yet. But I guess now I gotta explain.”

“You tell me whatever you’re comfortable with,” you said. “Why don’t we sit down?”

Sansy shook his head. “Not in here,” he said. “Not with the food.”

“How about the living room then?”

“Okay…”

You led the way to the couch. You sat down and Sansy lay down, putting his skull in your lap. You stroked it gently as he started telling you his story. He explained that years ago, he and his brother had been in a famine. There had been no food. He didn’t give a lot of details but you got the feeling that he’d done things to survive that he wasn’t proud of. Both of you cried as he told the story. Food was a big thing for him now, he said. For him and Sweets. Sweets was doing a lot better, but sometimes, it was just overwhelming for him. The sight of all that food, the thought that he didn’t have to be hungry…it had been too much.

You hugged your boyfriend and apologized again. He insisted it was fine. You couldn’t have known.

“I think I’m ready to eat now,” he said at last. “Let’s see how you did on that gumbo, huh? I bet it’s good!”

“I hope so!”

It was good. Good enough that Sansy ate three helpings. He helped you put together a container of leftovers for him and one for his brother. The two of you watched a movie together and cuddled on your couch. Finally, Sansy said, “I better go, cher. Gotta get this good food home to my bro.”

You nodded. “Okay. Tell Sweets thanks for me. He really helped me with all of it.”

“I will.”

You walked him to the door. “I’ll see you soon, yeah?”

“Definitely. I’ll call ya tomorrow.”

“Goodnight, Sansy.”

“Night, cher.”

The two of you hesitated for a moment. Then Sansy reached up and cupped your cheek with one hand. “I love you,” he said. “You’re so good to me.”

You felt tears prick your eyes again. “I love you too,” you said, and you absolutely meant it. You leaned down and gently pressed your lips to his teeth. For a moment, all you felt was warm bone. Then you felt a spark, a tingle, and you realized he was kissing you back. It was definitely the best first kiss you’d ever had.

➳ You and Lev were out on a date one Saturday. He excitedly talked about the movie you just watched, reciting some lines and acting as the character, which earned a giggle from you.

➳ Just then, the both of you saw a little girl looking around with a distressed look on her face.

➳ The both of you decided to approach the little girl, guessing by the way she’s looking around frantically, she must’ve been separated from her mother.

➳ “Hey, little one. What’s wrong?”

➳ You started and crouched in front of her. 

➳ She stopped looking around and turned to you, but after noticing a big shadow looming over her, she looked up instead, only to be greeted by Lev’s tall figure.

➳ From her short and small perspective, Lev seemed like an intimidating giant trying to eat her. So, she did the only thing she could think of as a kid.

➳ “urgh….Wahhhhhhhhhhh…….*hic* *hic*”

➳ The both of you started to panic as soon as the girl broke into a quiet sob (especially Lev, poor baby’s face went so pale). 

➳ You quickly try to calm the girl down, especially after receiving several suspicious glances from the walking passerby. 

➳ “*hic* Mummy….. There’s a giant…..huwaa...don’t eat me….”

➳ You looked over towards Lev and you have to admit, in your crouching position, Lev does kinda seem like a terrifying giant (as if he’s not already a giant even if you’re not crouching down).

➳ You gently picked up the little girl and patted her back, all the while being careful so as not to make the little girl face Lev. 

➳ “I think she was scared of you, Lev.”

➳ You whispered loud enough for him to hear, and although it hurts you to see his broken hearted face after hearing what you just said, you had to let it out to Lev or else he won’t really get what’s happening.

➳ “There, there. It’s okay. No one’s going to hurt you.”

➳ At those words, the little girl’s breathing relaxed and you could feel her hand moving to wipe the tears away from her face.

Everyone was gathered to eat junk food, tell stupid horror stories and have a pillow fight, even Bakugou was hyped for the pillow fight.  Bakugou, who managed to turn an innocent pillow fight into a real battle every time because of his contestant and ambitious character, was planning to do the same today. Everyone was sitting in the common room, it was crowded bc of some snacks, blankets, pillows and other unnecessary stuff.  Momo was trying to braid your hair, but you were so excited, you wanted to have a pillow fight and team up with Bakugou, he was very fast and had a strategy that’ll both lead you to victory. “Enough of this boring stuff!” Bakugou roared and pointed towards his pillow, “Let’s fight!” his sadistic smirk was sending shivers down your spine but it was somehow funny. Just when you were about to join him, your phone rang and everyone looked at you. “Sorry guys!” You muted your phone and turned towards Momo and whispered. “It’s y/b/n.” Momo gave a curious look towards your phone and whispered back “It can be an important thing, you should call back.” You nodded and when you were about to call y/b/n, your phone started to buzz in your hand. You are making us wait-” just when he was about to burst, he heard Y/n’s silent sobs and realized that she was shaking. Bakugou could look like a mean person but he actually cared about his friends, so he started to walk towards her and waited. “O-oh Bakugou! I’m sorry, I’ll be there in a minute.” When she didn't turn to face him, Bakugou tched and sat next to her. “Why r u cryin?” He mumbled and she looked at him with a confused expression “Huh?” He was embarrassed bc he wasn't the perfect person for comforting, so he started to look somewhere else and shouted “I said why are you crying, dumbass!” Then she sniffled and started to play with her fingers “My boyfriend just broke up with me, he told me that he wasn't happy but... I gave my all, just for him.” When Y/n started to cry again, Bakugou felt mad, how can someone dump her when she gave everything she could? He remembered the times that she was going out on dates with her bf, that guy looked happy, so why he was being such an ass? Bakugou took a deep breath “Because he is a good damn extra and a jerk.” Y/n stopped sniffling and looked at him, she was listening to him so he continued. “I thought you were stronger than this, is this really gonna make you cry?” Normally someone would get angry or offended at his words but he was trying to comfort her and Y/n understood Bakugou’s intention, so she smiled. “No, I'm not weak. You are right Bakuogu, thank you.” Then she got up and gave him a small smile “Wanna team up with me for the pillow fight?” Normally his competitive personality wouldn't let him but since she was having a hard time Bakugou smirked “You better give your all!” She nodded and ran inside.

Your back was pressed against Bakugou’s, both of you were taking this pillow fight seriously so the others did the same. “Aaaaah!” You let out a battle cry and hit Mina with all your might, she backed away with wide eyes “Geez Y/n, I'm not a villain!” Bakugou let out a sadistic laugh “You scared raccoon eyes?” Then Kirishima charged at him and they started to wrestle on the ground, after taking care of Mina, you realised that Kirishima managed to knock the pillow out of Bakugou’s hand and he was blocking Kirishima’s hits with his arms, you quickly grabbed the pillow and shouted “Bakugou, catch!” You threw the pillow towards him and he gave Kirishima a sadistic smirk. Kirishima’s eyes widened “Uh-oh.” Now Bakugou was in advantage and you started to laugh but felt someone’s presence behind you “Todoroki!” You immediately dodged his pillow and swung yours at his face “You need to do better than that L/n.” Then you started to run around with Todoroki while laughing like a little toddler. Bakugou’s eyes fell on you and he sighed, “You are relieved that she’s happy now, huh?” Kirishima’s words made him scowl and he started to hit his friend “What do you mean shitty hair?!” Kirishima pushed Bakugou and managed to escape while shouting teasing words like ‘aww you actually care’ or ‘you are a great friend bro!’ oooor ‘softie’

After the pillow fight, most of your friends gave up bc of Bakugo and you. Then everyone started to get into their sleeping bags or layed on their mattresses, your eyes fell on Bakugou, he was getting ready to sleep. He usually slept early so you knew he was tired but decided to give a shot. You slowly approached him “Hey Bakugou, do you have a minute?” His eyes found your form and he had a stoic expression on his face, he wasn't scowling or growling. He nodded and got up but his eyes met with Kaminari and Sero’s they were grinning like stupid hyenas. He gave them a horrifying look and that shut them up. Then the both of you walked towards the kitchen, and you gave him a thankful smile. “Thank you so much for tonight Bakugou. If you wouldn't have come outside, I don't know if I could managed to handle my emotions.” He huffed and tried to look anywhere but you, he never got a sincere ‘thanks’ the only people who knew about his soft side was Kirishima, Kaminari and Sero. You couldn't control your happiness and gave him a quick hug, that caught him off guard and he tensed “S-sorry!” Actually, the real reason I wanted to talk with you is that... Uh, I know you like spicy food so wanna go grab some spicy fried chicken tomorrow?” He wasn't experienced when it came to doing stuff with people other than his squad so he felt nervous but he wasn't going to hide like a little boy so he nodded “Sure, whatever...” He answered like he didn't care but actually he was panicking.
