୨ cuddling kageyama tobio ৎ
Tumblr media
Kageyama is the kind of guy to just completely expect you to read his mind. He doesn't like saying what he wants he thinks bc you're his you should just know.
He wouldn't be the type to yk do those dramatic sighs n shit, he'd more like just stare at you menacingly and shit. Literally staring daggers into the back of your head LOL. Then when you finally look at him he just looks you up n down.
"what...?"
"what do you mean 'what.'"
"I mean 'what' like what do you want, you're just fucking staring at me all scary n’ shit"
"YOU FUCKING DUMBASS."
"oh my gosh why are you yelling."
You two literally js squabble over nothing and you think it's just so cute help😭
In the end he turns around n pouts looking away from you all angry n shit w his little cute baby face oml I love him sm you literally have to drag his ass by his shirt to get him to you.
Once you finally give him what he wanted he just sighs deeply and closes his eyes, if you have boobs I feel like he's literally just touching n groping maybe even sucking chat. If not he just lies there holding you tightly and never letting you go.
"is this what you wanted?"
Tobio hums and shuts his eyes, a pout still lingering on his face. You kiss his forehead and roll your eyes, he blushes intensively, he just gets so flustered I've everything bc he's just that guy I suppose.
"how was I supposed to know you wanted to cuddle, you didn't tell me baby."
Kageyamas eyes shoot open, blush still present on his face, he just stared at you with furrowed brows and an annoyed look. You just laugh and he closes his eyes again, burying his face in your boobs if you have them or your neck.
In the end he's really happy bc he gets to cuddle you and hold you tightly while he can and he's just such a happy little guy. A slight grin is present on his face once he calms down fully. It's so cute because he isn't one to smile and if he does it's ugly as fuck. He only knows how to grin or smirk, and it always looks like he's telling you to 'eat shit' if he does.
But you love him and his ugly smile, he's just too cute to hate.
Tumblr media
AN: this is love guys. I love him I want him I need him I heart him. He is my everything he is my air my oxygen I need him to live I am obsessed and absorbed I cannot live without him he is truly the exception the only exception and the only thing worthy of everything. He is perfect
This might be ooc but I really think he would act like this in a relationship, this or hes js clueless to everything. After a while I feel like he'd know what he'd want being with someone.
Oml I think he's the kind of guy to never get over his first love and in college he might do like hookups n shit but never like gfs/bfs/s/o's😦

genre. fluff ( kinda cliché.. )
tobio kageyama x gn!reader.
Tumblr media
tobio wasn’t exactly what many would call, in tune with their feelings. in fact, he sucked at expressing what he felt. so much, that any emotions could easily be compared to crashing waves.
feelings surface and take the skies to great heights, only come crashing down and return to the expanse of water.
though it wasn’t completely his fault. many factors prevented him from expressing himself in a normal and understandable way. this time around, it was two students from his old junior high that stood in the way — yuutaro kindaichi, and no surprise here — tooru oikawa.. whom he didn’t have the best relationship with.
and what exactly were they blocking him from? well, his feelings towards you.
once upon a time ago, you had also attended kitagawa daiichi and have been kageyama’s crush for as long as could remember. no one could compare to you no matter how many times he tried to disregard his feelings.
now that you attended aoba johsai, he feared he might never get to tell you of his sentiments towards you.
the one opportunity he had to speak with you was during the practice match early into the school year, and at the singular opportunity he received to approach you, when he didn’t just feel like a face in a crowd.. kageyama became completely tongue tied.
like a fool he choked on his words before spouting a pathetic excuse of a greeting once kindaichi had arrived with kunimi to pull you away from him.
now, he was met with a new opportunity.. one that featured no aoba johsai, no court and zero volleyball — just the two of you, and the beach.
the raven haired setter had come with his sister for the day, saying to him that he had needed sun and a break from his cherished sport. the odds of you showing up were zero, and yet, here he was.. proven wrong once more.
miwa, upon seeing you playing blissfully in the water with a friend you had brought down to the beach with you, had of course nagged her younger brother, urging that it was fate. how often was it that you showed up to the beach at the same time as your crush without that knowledge, anyway?
still, the first year had refused to approach you. how could he when you were having so much fun? you’d freeze up completely if you had to hear another failed attempt at a confession.
despite being so close to him, you felt so far away for him. out of his league, out of reach.. and it terrified him to take those few steps in approaching you. who was to say you wanted him anyway if he spoke up? for all he knew someone else was in the picture.
there was just too much at risk, and he wasn’t sure if he was ready to hear your rejection.
“tobio.. you’re gonna lose her completely with the rate you’re going at.” his older sister sighed out, draining her bottle of coke. “nobody’s here to stop or make you feel judged in any way. and i can tell you right now,” she paused, pushing her sunglasses up a bit. “you’re not getting a better opportunity than this one.”
his lips pursed together as he stole another glance at you before looking at the emptied glass bottle in his hand. “it’s pointless trying, onee-san. she came here to enjoy herself and relax — not witness an embarrassment of a confession, if i even get one out.” the words would be completely jumbled, so much that it was sure to sound illiterate. like a baby trying to get their first word out.
he wondered if he could just get his feelings across without standing there to tell you. if he could do it that way, surely the confession would get across, and it won’t have cost him his dignity.
the elder eyed the younger for a moment before letting out a hum. “if this was volleyball, surely you’d have found a way around this by now.” she spoke up before laying back in her beach chair. “facing defeat has made you too comfortable, tobio.”
his lips parted to throw back a retort before, wanting to defend what little pride he had left, but his thoughts failed him when they couldn’t form into a sentence. miwa was right, painful as it was to admit. he gave up way too easily, all because of vulnerability.
his gaze lingered on the glass in his hand for a little while longer, the sea beyond twinkling in the distant horizon.
and just like that, an idea struck him. “nee-san, do you have a paper and pen i can borrow?”
Tumblr media
“i’m telling you hana-chan, every conversation we’ve had just ends up in word vomit when he addresses me — considering yuutaro-kun and oikawa-senpai always intervene..” you sighed out to your friend from johzenji, pursing your lips together. “i feel bad each time we talk because of it.”
the brunette lowered her sunglasses to her face, letting out a hum. “volleyball boys do tend to hold onto their grudges, otherwise they’d be more like my team.. and they’re certainly a draining bunch.” it was like hosting a kid’s birthday party everyday when it came down to managing. “maybe you should try contacting him outside of volleyball?” she suggested, sipping on her smoothie.
your lips pursed together. “i probably should, he was a really good guy back in junior high.. despite what everyone says about his behavior with volleyball.” an awkward laugh seemed to have left your lips at the memories. “but i miss having him in my life, i just don’t know if he feels the same way..”
“what’s that?” the manager spoke up, sitting upright.
raising a brow, you turned to look at your friend. “i said i don’t know if he feels the same way..”
“no no.” misaki shook her head, pointing to the shore. “that, over there.” she corrected, lifting her shades.
you blinked at her finger, following its direction before narrowing your eyes to see what she had been referring to. the sun wasn’t quite helping your vision, in fact- whatever it was, the sun reflected it in a way that made you get up to go look for yourself.
if someone threw trash into the sea with garbage bins scattered all around the beach to maintain the cleanliness, you were seriously going to throw hands.
as you approached the shallow water, you kneeled to pick up the discarded bottle, wondering who on earth couldn’t just get off their ass and throw away a coke bottle.
but as you got a better look, you found a paper inside. at first glance it might have been a wrapper for a straw, however it wasn’t crumbled up like trash. rather — it was rolled up.
part of you thought you might have found the krabby patty secret formula somehow by its appearance. glass bottle and a note? a child would have surely thought similarly and opened it to see.
and like a kid.. curiosity got the better of you.
twisting off the cap, you flipped the bottle over to shake the letter out, eager to see what you might find. maybe even treasure — although that was farfetched.. even for you.
unraveling the message, however, you found none of the things you anticipated. in fact, you were met with very the last scenario that could have possibly crossed your mind.
dear y/n,
um.. i’m no good with words, but uh, you probably noticed that the last few times we saw each other. and i have no hope that whatever i say will be any better here.. especially with limited space, but i’m hoping that i can put my feelings into words a little easier without my pride getting in the way, awkward meetings, or our old schoolmates.
i like you, a lot.. and i have for a really long time now — since kitagawa daiichi. but i’ve just, had a hard time bringing those feelings across to you, so i never got the chance, especially when we go to different schools.
just feels like the universe doesn’t want me with you every time i try to speak up, so i decided to write them instead, hoping they get to you in this message.
if you don’t feel the same, i understand- i just hope we can remain friends, and that i haven’t made things even more awkward than they already were between us.
yours sincerely,
tobio kageyama.
shock painted your features as you read the name nine more times, scanned the contents of the letter before looking behind you.
tobio was somewhere on the beach and you hadn’t even seen him. he could have made an approach as well, but his fears, you guessed, of rejection.. told him not to.
finally, as your eyes were ready to give up the search, a sliver of blueberry caught your gaze. bingo.
“y/n?? where are you-”
“one minute, i think i saw someone i know!” you quickly intercepted hana, rising from your crouched position to run a few umbrellas down.
there was one with a duo underneath that resembled one another, and if your memory served you correctly — that was tobio and his older sister. miwa, if your memory hadn’t failed you.
the setter seemed to be his own world for a moment, filing his nails as part of his routine. even outside of the court, he still had to maintain his habits.
“tobio, i’m off to get us more drinks.” the female spoke up after looking up, smiling to herself. “be right back~”
kageyama let out a noise of agreement, only lifting his head a smidge to nod before pausing when he noticed a figure across from him — your figure.
either you just noticed him, or you had actually received the haphazard message in the bottle he had sent. and by the looks of it, it had been the latter.
“y/n..” he breathed out, lowering the filer in his hand as he watched you approach him.
the butterflies from every occasion he had encountered you this past year seemed to have returned to his stomach. was this what hinata felt before every match..?
“tobio-kun, it’s been awhile.” you smiled a little, letting out a sheepish laugh. “surprised to find you here, it almost feels like fate.. except no distractions this time for us to finally put everything out on the table.”
his heart seemed to accelerate with pace, the nerves increasing almost tenfold. rejection, he could just sense it coming. “um, well.. i already said how i feel, considering you got the letter.” he spoke up, eyeing the emptied beverage in your hands.
at his reasoning, you lifted the bottle before humming. “true, but i didn’t actually hear it from you. for all i know it could have been something of your sister’s doing.”
tobio, blushing profusely, nearly found himself barking back a response — a frequent habit of his. but as he eyed your expecting gaze, he faltered, lowering his head in defeat.
“how will i know if by saying it, i won’t just end up being made into a fool..?” he mumbled, pursing his lips together.
as you took a step closer, you gave him a knowing stare. “let me do you a better one, how are you so sure i’ll make you into a fool? you’re aware of your feelings.” you paused before pointing to yourself. “but you’re not aware of mine, it seems.”
his lips parted to retort before he froze up. “wait- your feelings? you..”
a smile returned to your lips as you sat beside him. “i like you, tobio-kun. are the feelings i read true?” you asked him, tilting your head curiously.
the color on his cheeks seemed to darken as he avoided your intent gaze for a moment before nodding. “they’re as i wrote them.. i really do like you, y/n — and i meant every word i said.. i was just scared you might’ve felt.. differently.”
“well,” you grabbed his hand, grinning brightly. “rest assured the feelings are mutual at long last!”

"tobio!"
you singsong happily, humming gently as you walk into your house. your eyebrows furrow slightly as silence meets your call.
"tobio?"
you ask again, peering around the living room in search of your fiance who should be home by now. you startle as you hear a loud banging and a crash, followed by a frustrated groan come from the kitchen and you rush down the hall.
the second you step in the room, your eyes begin to water as smoke hits you. you run to the windows and fling them open, coughing slightly. you turn around to see tobio sitting on the floor, a pout etched into his pretty face.
"mind explaining what happened here, baby?" you question gently. he sighs and raises his head to meet you, blue eyes shining.
"wanted to make you dinner," he mumbles. you glance around the kitchen at his attempt at "dinner" and wince.
"well... thats much appreciated my love, however... you are currently banned from ever trying to cook without my direct supervision again, okay?"
he sighs and nods, standing up a bit awkqardly and draping his huge form over you, tucking his face into your neck.
"sorry for ruining dinner..."
"its okay," you whisper, running your fingers through his hair, "it was kind of you to try... despite not knowing how to cook."
a muffled groan escapes his lips and you giggle softly.
"now, why dont you start cleaning up while i order us some takeout, sound good?"
he looks around the messy kitchen before giving you a resigned nod and a peck on the lips.
"sounds good."

Kageyama headcanons!
Tumblr media
I think his favourite drink would be like blueberry boba
He likes to go on runs and he'd ask you to join him if you guys were dating
It's also canon that he gets terrible grades so if you were good at studying then he'd ask you to help him (I love study dates so much ngl)
I don't he's into pda either but he'd be much more clingy in private
Imagine going to a cherry blossom park with him like it'd be so cute istg
He should NOT be allowed inside a kitchen like its a literal fire hazard ngl
I bet you'd have to be the one to stop the fights between Hinata and Kageyama before they get too into it
He'd be so nervous at the start cause he's never done anything like this before
He prob showers a lot cause he hates smelling like sweat which also means he smells good like all the time
I think he'd be into someone he's known longer like since middle school or smthg
I also feel like he would be into someone older like by a year or two
I think he loves it when you tell him about how great he played in a game, give him continuous and constant encouragement, and just like really believe in him
He loves it when you run your hand through his hair
I also think his hair is gonna be like really smooth cause Miwa tells him what shampoos to use
Imagine he hit you in the face with a volleyball once accidentally like he'd get so nervous, it'd be p funny
If you're good at organising then please help this guy with like everything
I read somewhere that he's the type of person to put sugar in sweetened yoghurt which I think is true, he's also prob put in salt accidentally at least once

Promise Rings Chapter 1
(Definitely not edited lol)
So I've had this one in the books since the end of 2020, but I never posted it anywhere because I was determined to make it amazing (like AMAZING).
However, it only seems fitting to put it here considering that I've seen some pretty amazing stories on here. Now some little notes: this is a pretty long story (158 pages, single-spaced on a Google doc to be exact), so I'll be posting them in chapters. I hope you enjoy it!
⭐⭐⭐ Age: 4
“Alright everyone!” she called out sweetly. We all looked at the teacher, confused by her calling out to us. “We have a new student!” The students and I stared at the new kid in the front of the classroom, hiding behind the teacher. His hands were clamped onto the long skirt she had on, and he peeked his head from behind her. Our eyes might have scared him, and he quickly hid himself again.
“Now, now,” the teacher quietly chided at the little boy, “introduce yourself. Don’t be shy.” He slowly moved away from behind the teacher to her side. His hands played with the fabric of his pants, and his eyes wandered around the room.
“H-Hi,” he started quietly. “My name is Kageyama Tobio. Nice to meet you all.” He bowed quickly before hiding behind the teacher again. While he hid behind her, I watched the teacher slowly push him to try and get to know people. He refused, hanging onto her skirt tightly. However, she finally managed to get him to sit near people.
He quietly sat there, his eyes glancing around the room. I watched him play with his hands a little bit before I made up my mind: I should be friends with him! I hesitantly approached him. “Hey!” I excitedly called him as I jumped to the side of him. He looked up from his desk shocked. He blinked his eyes without saying a word to me. “My name is Yamaji Karin! Do you want to come play with me?” I watched his eyes begin to sparkle as a small smile crept onto his face. He nodded quickly before standing up. Cute.
Age: 5
“Hey Kageyama-san!” I called out. His eyes wandered around the classroom to find who called him. I waved my hand to catch his attention, and he turned his attention to me. He smiled a little before he approached the desk beside me.
“Where have you been?” I questioned him, my head tilted to the side. He rarely goes out of his way to interact with people. However, he was kind of sweaty and was breathing really hard.
“Playing volleyball,” he simply answered as he drank some water. I blinked at him confused. He collapsed onto the chair beside me as he closed his eyes from exhaustion. “You should try playing,” he suddenly blurted out.
“Volleyball? But I’m not good at sports,” I stated, pouting and looking down at my hands. I heard him chuckle beside me. Changing my attention to him, I saw him wipe the sweat off of his forehead as he smirked.
“Well, too bad,” he stuck out his tongue as he sat up in his chair. Huffing, I rolled my eyes and looked out the window.
In a quiet voice, I muttered, “I still want to know how to play though.”  “Then I’ll teach you!” he answered my concern. Determined.
⭐⭐⭐
Let's keep it short and sweet for the first chapter. I hope you really like it because there's a lot more to come! See you in the next one!
Next: Promise Rings Chapter 2

kageyama tobio is the friend groups boyfriend
Tumblr media
facetime call… tobio <3
“sorry, guys, my boyfriend’s calling me.” you excuse yourself to the next room, closing the door to muffle the laughs coming from your friends.
swiping to answer, you’re immediately greeted by an unflattering shot of tobio’s nose. suppressing the giggle threatening to escape, you’re about to greet him when he goes,
“they’re out of mango, is peach okay?”
you’re confused.
“sorry?”
“i know she like mango green tea, but they don’t have it.” your boyfriend moves the phone back for you to recognize the interior of the bubble tea shop you always go to. it suddenly hits you that he’s not only grabbing drinks for you and your friends without asking, he remembers all your orders as well. you can’t help but coo at how sweet he is, missing your two friends sneaking up behind you and looking over your shoulder at the screen.
“hi tobio!” they both greet, and you see the phone shake as your boyfriend raises his hand to wave before returning to his unflattering pose.
“they don’t have mango green tea today, is peach okay?” he repeats his initial question, and you look at your friend for an answer.
it takes her a second to realize he’s speaking to her, “do they have lychee?”
you see tobio’s eyes look towards the board, he nods his head in confirmation.
“i’ll see you soon.” he says. “love you, baby.”
you can’t help but grin at him, repeating the phrase as your friends fawn over the two of you.
after you hang up, you can’t suppress the grin on your face as you all move back to the living room of your apartment, mind completely occupied with the fact that you have the most amazing boyfriend in the world. it’s only when you feel a buzz from your phone that your grin turns into a full on laugh.
tobio <3: btw what are their names again?

we fly together | kageyama tobio x reader
Tumblr media
in which kageyama tobio is born for several things: the court, his team, and you. and he really, really wants to marry you.
wc: 766 | gn reader | little glimpses of your relationship with tobio over the years
There are several givens in Kageyama Tobio’s life.
There’s volleyball. It’s in his blood. Volleyball is shoes squeaking on floors, the shrill of a whistle, Nikuman after practice, and that sweet, sweet feeling of connection– fingers brushing yellow and blue leather and palms aching after a serve. Kageyama Tobio was born for the court and born to fly.
His team is one of them. There’s Sugawara, who still treats him to yakitori and an Asahi Dry (or three) whenever he’s back in Miyagi. Daichi sends him assorted nuts from Sendai every once in a while and Nishinoya mass e-mails him slightly blurry pictures of his life abroad on New Years. Ushijima buys electrolytes for him and Kourai. Shouyou is, well, Shouyou, and Kageyama counts him as two givens.
There’s the small things too: he takes a little too long to read Kanji, he buys a new face wash every month, he will always avoid rush hour.
And then, he thinks, there’s you.
It hits him in full force in the middle of the street on a Tuesday evening as he holds a plastic bag of groceries. It also, consequently, renders him immobile for ten minutes, because Tobio had never been one to dwell on the givens. But as he stands on the pavement and his bag carries the burden of hashi for two, yogurt for two, two packs of sandwiches and four bags of gummies,
( because you really like those gummies: and Tobio had thought, if you like the grape flavor, then you should also try the strawberry. And if you wanted to try something new, you might crave the fizzy Cola ones. And if you liked the Cola ones, then he had to buy the Ramune flavored ones, too )
Tobio gets the urge to buy a ring. And an urge, no, a craving to marry you.
Tobio remembers study sessions in high school and desperate makeouts in Karasuno’s dusty storage closet. He remembers the firsts: first conversation, first fight, first kiss, first date. Sprinting on beaches before the sun kissed the horizon and laying underneath the stars. He remembers graduation under cherry blossoms and pressing his second button into your palm with red cheeks and shaking hands.
There were tears, too. Anger as he realized he couldn’t, for once, be selfish and have both you and professional volleyball. Anger as you had cried and cried and cried in his arms because you were getting your degree in Miyagi and he was moving to Tokyo. Anger as you had suggested breaking things off because you knew that Kageyama was born for the court. To fly.
And you had said, between tears, that Tokyo was his potential. Because you knew him, and you knew that he didn’t like texting and that he wasn’t good at communicating, but you somehow underestimated how much you meant to him. Then: you had stopped crying because Kageyama was crying. And you had never seen Kageyama cry.
You were there when Kageyama started on the National Team, standing in the bleachers with the biggest smile he had ever seen, jumping as you turned to show him the Kageyama embroidered on the back of your jersey. You were there when he accepted his position on the Adlers, and watched their broadcasted games behind textbooks and journals and pencils from your dorm in Sendai.
Kageyama was there when you called him sobbing because the pipes in your dorm leaked. He was there when you got fired from your part time job for slapping a customer. Begrudgingly, he was there when you asked him to have Oikawa Tooru sign twelve jerseys for your friends at university. And then, he was there when you graduated college, diploma in hand and a blush on your cheeks as you pressed your button into his palm even though you really weren’t supposed to do that.
Now you’re in Tokyo, having accepted his slightly bashful request for you to move in with him– in a nice apartment on the fourteenth floor overlooking the city; because even though he didn’t really like heights, he knew you loved city lights and people-watching. And if he had to cover his face when he saw the nameplate next to your shared apartment that read Kageyama, well. You didn’t have to know that.
He’s still on the street, and he’s still holding his grocery bag, but his eyes are firm because he really wants to make your last name Kageyama.
So he makes a phone call.
“Tanaka-san,” He says before his former upperclassman can react. “Where did you buy Shimizu’s ring?”

When you started dating Tobio, you quickly took notice on his meticulousness and diligence when it came to his sport. This included taking a jog every morning without fail, filing his nails, writing in his volleyball journal, and eating the right meal. But this… this takes the cake.
“Tobio… what do you need all these shoes for?” you ask dumbfounded while standing in front of his wall filled with shelves of identical volleyball shoes.
He blinks at you before he grabs a pair and fiddles with it, “I couldn’t throw them away.”
“Yes? But why do you need this many? And identical ones at that? Did you not think to purchase a different design?”
“The mid-sole gets worn out quickly if you play every day,” he explains, “and a different design might feel different…”
You nod and take one, noticing a tag inside that has numbers on it, “but why keep them?”
“It has some sentimental value,” he says blushing, “actually this one,” he takes the shoe from you, “I was using during the time I met you.”
You beam at this, “That’s cute, Tobio! I didn’t know you were the sentimental type.”
…..
A month later during one of your dates you gifted him a new pair of shoes.
“Don’t worry about the design! It’s the same model and brand, just a different colorway.”
He nods, his eyes sparkling as he inspects it.
“Do you like it?”
He looks at you and smiles, “I love it.”
He didn’t use the shoes during the regular season and the VNL games, claiming it was too precious to wear. So imagine your surprise to see your boyfriend on television during the Olympics wearing the shoes you bought him months ago.

— ˗ˋ ୨ tobio kageyama w a crush ୧ ˊ˗ —
Tumblr media
Tobio wouldn't realize he has a crush on you, he's so emotionally constipated and angry all the time he has a hard time realizing things other than like anger [for hinata when he messes up CONSTANTLY.]
Tsukishima would literally constantly tease him saying things like "has the king finally found a lowly queen to keep up with his bidding?" Kageyama would be so confused like "wdym?"
It takes tobio a while to actually realize his feelings, afterwards he couldn't even come to terms w them the thought of having a girlfriend actually frightened him.
Kageyama is very competitive, always battling Hinata at anything there is to do, so once he realizes he likes you he unintentionally shifts that part of him to you.
Tobio starts challenging you to EVERYTHING everyone notices and is like "wtf?" Even you yourself was kind of confused but who were you to back down.
This mf is absolute shite at video games like he sucks tremendously. Everyone laughs at him as you constantly beat him in every game there is.
As a manager you are technically obligated to help out everyone on the team including those you might not like not that you dislike any of them but kageyama sure does.
He sees you helping tsukishima out and giving him his water bottle, a towel whatever he needs. Kageyama has never been more pissed off in his life.
Once they switch positions and kageyama is up front near the net with Tanaka and tsukishima in a blocking position he whispers to tsukishima;
"what's your deal with y/n."
"excuse me, what are you even talking about.."
Tobio assumed tsukishima was playing coy purposely so get a reaction out of him, if that was what tsukishima was playing at he successfully got it.
Tobio would not shut up about how he should "stay away from you" and how "you don't want a twiggy ass nobody like him."
Tsukishima simply laughed and teased him which involuntarily led to them getting into it, tobio was a flustered red mess trying his hardest to lunge at tsukishima while Tanaka held him back.
Kageyama found himself mindlessly watching you, whether it be at lunch, in class, or spacing out during practice. You were clouding his thoughts and it pissed him off.
Tobio finally had the guts to walk up to you and give you a piece of his mind. He told you how it was pissing him off that your face made his cheeks warm up.
You just stared at him and batted your lashes up to him before giggling and patting his shoulder with no words.
Kageyama felt a lot of emotions that he'd never felt before.. he felt embarrassed and flustered and just so befuddled it fucked with him for the rest of the practice.
You eventually caught tobio before he split from the rest of the group a meatbun stuffing his cheeks, he turned to you with wide eyed and a blush painting his chubby and puffed out cheeks.
"walk me home?"
"oh- s- sure."
You two waved goodbye to the rest of the team some of them making kissy noises as the two of you walked away kageyama turned around flustered and angry, yelling at them to shut up.
You two stayed completely silent the entire walk to your house tobio occasionally glanced down at you, trying to find words to speak but only for every word to get caught in his throat when he opened his mouth.
"This was fun. We should do it again."
You say turning to face him before you headed off to your home. He flipped and nodded aggressively with a stuttery 'mhm!' leaving him. Tobio was so adorable you just couldn't believe this guy was actually willing to walk you home, no questions asked.
"..soo, id better turn i— "
"I L- --ove... you."
Kageyama stuttered on his words, choking and forcing out his hard to explain feelings for you. He didn't know exactly how he felt but once he spoke with suga and he told kageyama that he might just have a crush, he might've taken his crush the wrong way, mistaking it for love in your eyes.
You'd be lying if you'd said this wasn't adorable. He was adorable, this emotionally constipated volleyball obsessed tsundere actually had feelings. And for you, nonetheless. It was hard to describe what you felt but you wouldn't lie and say you didn't think he was attractive.
You hummed at his statement and walked towards him, he stared at you with wide eyes and he shivered and shakes in his boots. He doesn't know what to do, he just stands there stuff and shaky as you walk up to him and look up at him, those big wide blue eyes staring down at your adorable face.
You kissed his cheek lightly, he didn't know how to react, he just blinked a couple of times and thanked you awkwardly making you laugh abruptly. He scokded himsekf in his mind calling himself lame and shit but you were quick to shut everuthing down when you pulled him into a kiss.
It was quick stiff and awkward. Tobio was never one to care about love or even have crushes but one day you just showed up and took him by surprise he was always flustered around you and couldn't explain why. He didn't know what he was doing but this felt right to him. He was happy.
You pulled away and gently slapped his cheek before telling him goodnight. He stood there for a moment before turning into a flustered red mess, like Hinata whenever a pretty girl even came close to him.

Tobio Kageyama
'his pettiness would slip out unintentionally'
You and Kageyama often helped each other with studying, so it wasn’t surprising to find the two of you in a coffee shop with notebooks laid out on the wooden table. Kageyama was focused on his work, his brows furrowed in concentration as he scribbled notes in his notebook. You had given him your neat and organized notes to copy down since the ones he took were the complete opposite.
He was having a good time until this guy, claiming to know you, approached the table. While Kageyama isn't the most socially astute, he couldn't miss the way this guy’s hand occasionally grazed yours or the overly familiar tone in his voice. Every laugh and lingering touch made Kageyama's jaw tighter, his pen digging harder into the paper.
You clearly looked uncomfortable with his pursuits, attempting to let the guy down nicely with an awkward laugh here and there.
“So, I was thinking we should hang out sometime—” The man’s flirtatious invitation was abruptly cut off by a loud, deliberate slurping noise coming from across the table.
You turned to see Kageyama, still focused on his work, but now obnoxiously trying to suck up the last remnants of his coffee from the glass cup. The sound was grating, loud enough to draw annoyed glances from nearby customers.
Each time the guy tried to speak again, the slurping noise grew louder and more exaggerated, making the man visibly frustrated.
“Do you have a problem, man?” he angrily spat, now glaring at the nonchalant guy across from you.
Kageyama took his time to calmly put down his empty glass, his fingers lingering on the rim momentarily before he shifted his gaze to the intruder. His eyes, usually so focused and intense, now burned with an unmistakable, cold irritation.
“I don’t know, do you?” Kageyama’s voice was flat and unyielding, his stare piercing through the man.
You could feel the tension in the air, the intensity of his harsh and cold eyes making the man shift uncomfortably.
“Because she hasn’t said yes to a single thing you’ve said since you got here,” Kageyama continued, his tone blunt and unforgiving. “So I suggest you leave.”
The man hesitated, clearly taken aback by Kageyama’s directness and the unspoken threat in his eyes. Without another word, he turned and walked away, mumbling something under his breath.
Once the guy was out of earshot, you turned back to Kageyama, who was already picking up his pen and resuming his work as if nothing had happened. A small, amused smile tugged at your lips.
“You didn’t have to do that, you know,” you said softly, a hint of gratitude in your voice.
Kageyama glanced up, his expression softening slightly as he looked at you. “I didn’t like how he was talking to you. It made me uncomfortable.”
You reached across the table, gently placing your hand over his. “Thanks, Tobio. I seriously mean it.”
A faint blush tinted his cheeks as he nodded in response, trying to focus back on his notes.
But, he simply couldn't as his attention kept drifting back to you.

Tooru Oikawa
'he'd try to one-up the person with blatant rudeness'
Oikawa loves spending time with you. When a festival was happening in your hometown, it was a given that he’d go with you. The vibrant atmosphere, the colorful stalls, and the joyful crowd made it a perfect date. He left you alone for a split second to buy some takoyaki.
When he returned, he saw you stopped in the middle of the crowd, awkwardly laughing with some other guy. His smile faltered slightly, a hint of annoyance flickering in his eyes. He playfully nudged your shoulder, interjecting himself into the conversation and cutting off whatever unfunny joke the guy was telling you.
“Hey, sorry for the wait,” Oikawa said, snaking an arm around your waist and pulling you closer to him. His smile was charming as always, but his eyes held a sharp glint as he did a quick look up and down at the guy.
“Wow! Y/N, I didn’t know you snagged a boyfriend while you were away!” the guy laughed with a strain.
Oikawa didn’t miss the way this guy’s gaze shifted slightly, revealing a brief flicker of distaste towards him. His own smile turned to a sneer at the sight of it.
‘Huh, this little prick,’ Oikawa thought, recognizing him as the classmate who had a crush on you in high school. That memory only fueled his irritation, making him want to pull you away from this conversation even more.
As each second passed, the more Oikawa showed how much he didn't like this guy. “Wow, it sounds like you had a great time in high school. But I’m sure nothing beats the fun we have now, right, love?” He directed an innocent smile at you, but you could feel the air thickening with intensity.
Turning back to the guy, Oikawa continued, “It’s so cute how you still remember those high school days. I guess some people never move on from their glory years.”
Your eyes widen at the jab and side-eye your smiley, 'I didn't do anything wrong' boyfriend next to you. You didn't know if you wanted to laugh or pinch him for making this even more awkward than it is.
You curtly said goodbye to your classmate, not wanting to drag this out any longer. Without waiting for a response, you grabbed Oikawa’s hand and dragged him away.
Oikawa's disdain towards your friend was clear, his expression contorted with thinly veiled annoyance. He stuck out his tongue in a childish display of disapproval, causing the classmate to stand there, taken aback, and scoff in response.
As you both silently walked beside each other, Oikawa’s demeanor softened, realizing he might've overdone it a tad with this one. “Hey, I didn’t mean to upset you,” he said, his voice gentle and sincere. He squeezed your hand, looking at you with an apologetic look.
“No, I'm sorry,” you sighed, glancing up at him. “I should've told him I had to go right when he approached me and look for you. Instead, we were put into an awkward situation."
Oikawa frowned slightly. "You don’t have to apologize. I just—I didn’t like the way he was looking at you."
You stopped and turned to face him, placing your hands on your hips. "Tooru, you need to stop being so childish. Sticking your tongue out? Really?"
His eyes widened in surprise. "You saw that?"
You raised an eyebrow, a mix of amusement and exasperation on your face. "Of course I saw that. You think I wouldn't notice?"
He rubbed the back of his neck, a sheepish grin spreading across his face. "Okay, okay, I admit that might've been a bit much."
You rolled your eyes but couldn't help the smile tugging at your lips. "A bit much? Try a lot. You can’t keep doing that."
His pout returned. "But he was—"
"No buts," you interrupted, playfully poking his chest. "I can handle myself, alright? And you definitely don't have to worry about any other guy. You're the only one I want."
His eyes sparkled at your reassurance, his smile widening. "You know, there's no one else I'd rather have but you~" he playfully coos back, earning a soft slap to the chest from you.

Wakatoshi Ushijima
'he barely gets jealous, but when he does, his reserved demeanor slips with subtle signals'
You frequently showed up to Ushijima’s practices to support him, admiring his dedication and skill. Today was no different, but what you didn’t know was that there was a new player on the team. He was quite charming and flirtatious, so when he saw you, he couldn’t help but make a move.
“Hey sweetheart, are you lost?” the new player approached you, his hair matted with sweat and a cocky grin on his face.
“Oh no. I’m Y/N, Ushijima’s—” you started to explain, but he cut you off.
“Fan?” he guessed, leaning closer.
“Um, no—” you tried again.
“Sister?” he interrupted, his eyes scanning you with obvious interest.
Before you could speak again, a deep, familiar voice cut through the conversation, “She’s my girlfriend.”
Ushijima’s imposing presence seemed to cast a shadow over the new player as he gently placed his hand on your shoulder, his touch light yet protective. You felt a slightly sweaty chest lightly press against your back, sending a shiver up your spine. His olive eyes, usually calm and composed, held a steely intensity as he assessed the situation.
“Is everything alright, Y/N?” Ushijima asked, his voice steady but carrying an underlying edge.
You nodded, feeling a mix of relief and warmth at his presence. “Yes, everything’s fine.”
The new player, clearly taken aback, tried to recover his composure. “I didn’t know, man. Just thought she was lost or something.”
Ushijima’s gaze didn’t waver, and his grip on your shoulder tightened ever so slightly, his eyes narrowing just a fraction. “She’s here to support me, as always. I’d appreciate it if you respected that.”
The new player nodded, mumbling a quick apology before retreating to the court. As he walked away, you could feel the tension slowly dissipate from Ushijima’s body, but his eyes remained on the player for a moment longer, his gaze eyeing him like a hawk. Ushijima never shows his emotions normally, but seeing you flustered and a bit uncomfortable by someone else had his jaw set tighter than usual.
Turning back to you, Ushijima’s expression turned non-rigid once more. “I’m sorry you had to deal with that.” The lines of tension in his face smoothed once he met your gaze.
You smiled up at him, the warmth of your hand over his on your shoulder conveying a silent understanding. You plant a light peck on his hand, a gentle affirmation of your gratitude. “It’s okay, Toshi," you whispered softly, your voice carrying a soothing tone. "You should go back to practice."
He nodded, his lips curling into a rare, small smile. “Just let me know if anyone bothers you.”
You leaned into him, feeling the solid reassurance of his presence. “I will. Thank you.”
As the practice continued, he kept a close eye on the new player, making sure there were no further incidents.

tobio knows that he loves you, that he's devoted to you, that he'd do anything for you — you know this. but what you don't know, not yet, is that he realizes, only three months into dating, that he's going to marry you. growing up, after his grandfather passed and miwa got too busy to attend his games, no one showed up for him to watch him play. even well into adulthood, there's no family present in the friends & family section all professional athletes are assigned. you two are long-distance for the time being, and you tell him, teary-eyed, that your flight got canceled at the last minute and you can't show up to his game. he walks into the stadium frowning, upset and not speaking to anyone during his warm-ups. his other teammates' families are entering, and he can see them waving at their loved ones. he's focused on himself until he hears a voice shouting from above:
"play well, tobio!!!" you're wearing his jersey, holding up a poster of support, the only one in his otherwise empty friends & family section.
he can't stop the smile from stretching across his face, and play well he does.
it turns out, after your original flight got canceled, you managed to find a last-minute flight leaving in less than two hours after your disappointing phone call with him. you rushed to the airport, had to have two shitty layovers, and barely got any sleep, but you showed up. he tells you, you didn't have to do all of that. and his heart nearly explodes when you just squeeze his hand and give a gentle hum before telling him, yeah, but i wanted to.

Promise Rings Chapter 8
(Definitely not edited)
Previous: Promise Rings Chapter 7
And we're back! The work has died down momentarily, so I can put some more writing on the internet (huhu). Anyways, I think it's time for another chapter of Promise Rings because I'm pretty sure I haven't posted another chapter in a hot second, so oops...
Anyways, new chapter with new adventures! I hope you like this one!
⭐⭐⭐
Age: 15
I could only close my eyes from the pain in my back as I tried to hold back my tears. I tried to control my breath to make the pain settle down, but the pain didn’t go away. It’s too painful to ignore.
“Oi, is everything o-” I heard the door swinging open and the sound of footsteps stopping. I willed myself to look at the guest at my door to see Tobio watching my figure closely. For a moment, he stared at me before carefully placing himself beside me on the bed. “Is it your shoulder?” he whispered as he checked my condition. I nodded, hesitating whether I wanted to tell him how I really felt.
“I’m not really sure why they hurt,” I muttered as his fingers carefully grazed over my shirt to check for any abnormalities. His fingers suddenly stopped on a spot between my shoulder blade and the spine, and I froze as he started to feel around the area.
“Karin-chan, what did you do during PE yesterday?” he questioned as he grabbed my shoulders to spin around.
“We did some water polo stuff like throwing the ball to a person-” I started, and I watched his face morph into an annoyed expression. “Wait, are you saying that I threw my shoulder out from that?” I questioned.
“Did you stretch properly because it feels more like you might have tore a muscle?” he shot back at him, and I slowly lowered my gaze. Well, he caught me, and I could feel his hard gaze on my head. “Karin-chan, I thought I told you to always stretch before PE,” he scolded me, and I started playing with my hands. He sighed, making me look at him. “Well, since you should get that checked out,” he started again, “what do you want to do? I’m not letting you go outside because, knowing you, you would want to do something active, but you need to let your shoulder heal properly if it’s what I think it is.” I pouted, trying to figure out what I wanted to do.
“Movie?” I questioned, looking outside the door to see the TV not being used at all. He shrugged, accepting the idea.
“I know your legs are fine, but can you get up?” Tobio questioned, knowing that I often used my arms to boost myself up from sitting. I carefully tried to get up but felt some pain from slouching. He carefully placed his arm around my waist to give me some support. With the extra support, I managed to straighten my posture but continued clinging onto him. Slowly, he guided me over to the couch before letting me go and walking towards the TV. “Which one?” he questioned as his hands picked through the long line of movies nearby.
“Ponyo,” I immediately answered. He chuckled at my answer as he picked it out of the group.
“Why am I not surprised?” I heard him mutter, and I started to feel tired holding the good posture for so long. Once he started playing the movie, he sat down beside me, and I rested my head against his shoulder. “Does it feel okay?” he questioned as his eyes ran up and down my body to check for any issues.
“Yeah, I’m fine,” I responded as he grabbed a blanket and wrapped it over our legs. “It feels like only my back needs to be straight, so I can still move my head,” I described as I felt his arm across my back. He nodded as he patted my head slightly. He turned towards the movie, and we quieted down in order to relive the story again.
Age: 16
Silence filled the room as we sat in silence and worked. While this was a rare occurrence, I definitely took advantage of it and worked on whatever I could while Tobio was occupied. While I stared at the essay that was due in a couple days, my eyes seemed to skim over the words quickly, my finger following the words.
“Karin-chan,” Tobio called for me from the bed. At first, I could barely hear it as I focused on the essay. From the corner of my eye, I notice Tobio pull up a chair and sit in it. “Karin-chan,” he called again, poking my cheek for my attention.
“Hm,” I barely hummed as I began revising a sentence, making my words more concise. I was too in the zone to specifically figure out what he needed.
“I’m tired of working,” he complained, trying to rest his head on the back of the chair. Although we’ve only been hanging out for a few hours, we have been only working on homework since he came in. I paused my work to look at him briefly.
“Tobio-kun, we need to finish our work,” I reminded him as I glared at him before returning my attention back to the screen to continue revising. I hear him huff and try to call my attention again. I proceeded to ignore him to make it clear that we were supposed to be working and not chatting. Considering that we were nearing the end of the school year, we needed to keep up our efforts to finish with high grades. From beside me, I hear him complaining about the workload as I neared the end of the essay.
For the final time, he called out with a pout, “Karin-chan.” I decided to give in and expected to glare at him. However, he surprised me with his face a few centimeters away from me. I froze in my spot as I tried to process what was happening. For all I knew, I could feel my heart beat out of my chest and the blood flooding my cheeks. “Can we take a break please?” Trying to calm myself down, I could only bring myself to nod, and I took my hands off the keyboard. I watched his eyes light up as he noticed my actions, springing up from his chair. He reached into his bag and immediately grabbed out the volleyball.
“Practice?” I questioned him, a bit confused. He nodded, his energy through the roof. I sighed and stood up from my desk and followed him into the backyard for some practice.
~~~
The bell finally rang, signaling the end of the day. As soon as the teacher finished class, I quickly packed my bag and plugged one earbud into my ear, listening to a playlist that Karin made. She insisted that I listened to these songs in order to get used to listening to English. Today was one of the rare days that practice was canceled, and I was going to walk home with her. I quickly walked through the hallways, getting to the exit to catch up with her. At the gate of the school, I noticed Karin-chan with earbuds in, texting on her phone.
“Karin-chan!” I called out from a few meters away. The song changed, and a few guitar strums played in my ear before the lyrics started.
Do you hear me? I’m talking to you. She seemed to move in slow motion as she pulled out an earbud and turned towards me. Her hair seemed to perfectly fly over her shoulder as her eyes met with mine. I never noticed how big her eyes were in comparison with some of the other girls in the school.
Across the water, across the deep blue ocean. Her paler skin contrasted her dark eyes and hair. Her nose came to a soft point, and her pink lips were slightly open as she stared at me. Even from a distance, I could notice her soft gaze on mine. Her head seemed to tilt as she noticed me just standing there.
Under the open sky. Oh my, baby I’m trying. The school uniform seemed to fit her body perfectly: her skirt didn’t seem too long, and the black blazer that matched her eyes sat comfortably around her shoulders. Her slender fingers seemed to lightly hold the earbud as the wind seemed to blow through the area, making her hair fly with the flow.
Boy, I hear you in my dreams. She pulled the other earbud out of her ear before she started coiling the wire around her phone. Carefully, she placed her phone into her bag before she tucked a few strands behind her hair.
I feel your whisper across the sea. As she approached me, she seemed to radiate maturity from just her walk. I felt my heartbeat against my chest as I watched my childhood best friend started running towards me.
I keep you with me in my heart. The pounds of my heart matched her feet hitting the ground as her hand raised up to make sure I knew she was there. I watched a bright smile grow on her face as her eyes crinkled to the point she couldn’t see much. I smiled back at her as time seemed to keep slowing down.
You make it easier when life gets hard. She suddenly leaped to stop her momentum, making her land in front of me. However, the momentum she built up was a bit too much, causing her to stumble forward slightly. Immediately, my hands went out to catch her, one holding onto her wrist and the other landing in between her shoulders. Her hands landed on my shoulder and chest, and she looked up at me with an innocent aura. I could hear my heart beating in my ears. Was Karin always this pretty?
“Hey, Tobio-kun!” she greeted me as I helped her stand up on her own feet. She smoothed down her skirt before asking, “Ready to go?” I could only nod as she hooked her arm with mine and started dragging me off of campus. I looked down at her, and something in my heart swelled.
I’m lucky I’m in love with my best friend.
~~~
I watched the ball float through the air before curling down towards me. I quickly shifted my feet and quickly set the ball to Michimiya-san, our captain. I watched her hand quickly slam the ball into the court, scoring a point. The whistle was blown, and we looked at the score: set 2, 25-23; we won our first practice match of the season.
“Aw yeah!” Watabe-san cheered as we jumped around. We began high-fiving each other before we lined up for the end of the match. While we lined up to give our thanks to the cheering section, my eyes caught Tobio’s figure in the stands. I noticed him staring at me, and I gave him a small smile before I bowed with the rest of the team. When I looked up to find Tobio again, I noticed that he disappeared from his spot in the crowd, making me confused. Turning around, I sulked over to grab my stuff, giving myself the small signal out of habit. Looking up, I spotted Tobio standing by himself by the entrance. When he noticed me looking at him, he waved me over, and I rushed over to him.
When I ran over to him, I jumped to hug him, wrapping my legs around his waist and my arms around his neck. His arms wrapped around my waist as he muttered into my ear, “Congrats, Karin-chan.”
Smiling widely, I whispered, “Thank you, Tobio-kun.” I rested my head on my shoulder, snuggling my face into the crook of his neck as I found Tobio not resisting the skinship before I felt some eyes on my back. Turning around towards the crowd behind us, I saw the team staring at us, and I quickly scrambled out of Tobio’s grasp and stood on the floor.
“Get a room you two!” Michimiya-san yelled from the bags. The entire team laughed at our antics as my cheeks started to redden.
“You would’ve done the same with Sawamura-san, Michimiya-san!” I yelled back at her. Even from a distance, I could tell that Michimiya-san’s cheeks were turning red and burning up. She quickly turned around and continued packing up her bag, appearing extremely flustered. From behind me, I heard Tobio chuckle as he rested his elbow on my head, leaning onto me.
“You weren’t kidding when you said that Michimiya-san really likes Daichi-san,” Tobio admitted, whispering into my ear. Laughing a little, I nodded slightly. I felt his hand move from my head to my shoulders. I felt my cheeks heat up a little from the contact. “Anyways,” Tobio started again, “you ready to go get some food?” Looking over at me, I looked back at him and nodded, trying to cover up how shy I was getting. He released his arm off of my shoulders before I ran over to the team to grab my bag.
“So you’re going on a date with Kageyama-kun, Yamaji-chan?” Watabe-san questioned with her teasing tone. Aside from my cheeks, I felt the heat in my ears as I comprehended the word “date.”
“I-It’s not a date!” I refuted, my voice a little too loud. I realized I caught the attention of some people including Tobio, and I flashed everyone an awkward smile before looking down, trying to hide my face. Around me, I heard the girls giggle along with the coaches.
“Now, now,” Aihara-san caught the team’s attention, “let’s give Yamaji-chan some breathing room before she gets too hot and flustered around Kageyama-kun.” She giggles as she teases me more. Feeling somewhat betrayed, I finished fixing my bag before giving my farewells to the girls.
As I walked further away from the group, Megumi loudly called out, “Have fun on your date, Care Bear!” Her loud voice echoed against the spacious area of the gym, scaring me for a moment. Turning my head to glare at her, I notice all the girls giggling at my reaction. Before I could say anything in response, I felt something warm grabbing my wrist to turn me around before feeling Tobio’s arm around my shoulders. In the background, I could hear all the girls squealing, and as much as I wanted to turn around, Tobio forced me to keep looking forward. With the weight of his arm, I felt myself leaning forward with the extra weight sitting on my shoulders.
As we were walking out the gym into the golden hour of the day, Tobio’s arm fell off my shoulders as we began walking home. After all the comments from the team, there was no way I could face him right now; I betted my cheeks were extremely red right now. My eyes were lowered to the ground, trying to avoid any sort of awkward moment with Tobio. I felt something warm in my right hand, causing me to look up.
“Oi, I know that you’re thinking about the match, but you can’t get lost,” he responded as he placed our hands into his hoodie pocket. Nodding, I let him cling onto my hand as we walked down the sidewalk, enjoying the last sunlight beams of the day. “Oh yeah,” he started again, “what’s up?”
Laughing at how he just remembered our routine, I responded, “There are some things that I could work on, but that’s just because it’s been awhile since my shoulder injury.” He nodded in response as we continued our way down the street. “Oh right!” I suddenly remembered. Turning his head towards me for a moment, he gave me some affirmation that he was listening. “Someone confessed to me earlier today,” I nervously chuckled a little. Over the past year at Karasuno, a few guys had confessed, but I wanted to try dating while I was still young. I felt his hand slightly twitch against mine before squeezing it a little tighter.
After a moment or two of silence, he finally whispered, “Did you accept?” Gulping for a second, I nodded; I had accepted fully knowing that I had no chance with Tobio even if I tried. The guy just loves volleyball so much, and this guy was kind of cute. Plus, holding hands and hugging is normal between friends, right? Honestly, I can’t just wait for him to fall for me anyways. “Well,” his voice began trailing off, “congrats, Karin-chan.”
“Thanks,” I whispered as I felt his hand release mine. I slipped my hand out of his pocket as we continued walking in silence. The atmosphere was almost suffocating even though we breathed in the clean air.
“So who is it?” Tobio questioned, finally breaking the silence.
“Just a classmate,” I responded quietly. I didn’t bother telling him who exactly it was, knowing that he could care less. Feeling his radiating anger, I closed my mouth, and we continued walking in silence. How come he was so quiet from this? Jealous.
⭐⭐⭐
Okay, I think this is a good stopping place for this chapter. I know that this chapter is shorter than normal, but I guess it is what it is. Anyways, I hope that you liked this chapter, and see you in the next one!

“Ok, a Hear Me Out is basically a fictional character or being or whatever, that would make people look at you funny. So like, I’ll start.”, Hoshiumi sat on the floor with his legs spread apart and leaning down on his forearms to stretch, “Nala from the Lion King.”
Ushijima frowned, pulling a knee to his chest. “But she is a lion.”
“Yeah, that’s the whole point. It has to be something that makes people scandalized.”
“I see.”, the ace said, “Mrs. Parr from the Incredibles.”
“No, that’s…”, Hoshiumi sighed.
“Why not?”, Kageyama asked, confused, as he reached for his toes.
“She is a married mother of three, I hope people would be scandalized if she would commit adultery.”, Ushijima reasoned as he switched legs.
Feeling a headache building in his temples from frustration, Hoshiumi insisted, “No. It has to be almost like a… like a taboo, you know?”
Kageyama looked around the gym for inspiration and his eyes landed on the coach’s bench where you and Hirugami were currently discussing the last game.
