Arrrggh Peck looks so sweet in that picture!!! How does she pull it off? She's a hecking ARC trooper who can decapitate droids with her bare hands, she should not be able to look so soft and cute 🥺🥺🥺 (in case you didn't notice, I adore her. That picture of her and Bella on that couch looks so damn soft and fluffy it straight up gave me three cavities minimum and also looks like it should hang in a museum somewhere)

See, the thing about Peck being all soft and cute is because of Bella. She has so much love for her little sister that Peck will indulge her in just about anything. Bella is really the first being Peck truly clicked with. She had no attachment to her batchmates on Kamino, so when she got assigned as Bella’s second (and personal guard), Peck’s devotion to the young Jedi Padawan kinda skyrocketed and never came down.
Anyone outside their close friends and family circle usually gets a suspicious glare. It’s very guard dog behavior heheh

just made the most delicious pesto chicken nuggets and potatoes 😙 i love cooking
#cooking and my love for it has definitely been an adjustment#because i typically made a pairing with pasta or bread or used just in general gluten produ#and since i don't have the means to buy all the expensive gluten free groceries it has been a struggle#but i was i had an idea where if i used cornstarch instead of flour for the chicken nuggets that it would give the same effects (it did)#and roasted potatoes to go along with because i could season them/bug a sauce on them similar to pasta#and i don't have the patience for rice so it all worked out and was sooooo#good :) definitely gonna have to be lots of exploring but first meal i genuinely enjoyed and didn't really have to compromise on in a while#eris: text

I think the absolutely most baffling thing to me that I've noticed in the AI generated image discourse is that people seem to think that artists don't make any compromises or sacrifices ever and live perfect, comfortable lives where things just happen to align perfectly for them to have the time to create art that perfectly aligns with their vision
"I don't have the time to draw" do you really know if artists simply have the time to draw or on the contrary, have to sacrifice something to gain that time to draw? can you be so sure that they don't have to deal with hardships to gain the time to draw? or, they have the time to draw because they can't do something else in their lives due to their circumstances, and drawing is the only thing that will fill this time?
"I can't create stuff that meets my vision" how can you be so sure that the stuff artists create meets their vision? do you really think this art was their vision from the absolute beginning? or did they actually have to make compromises to reach this specific look, which maybe wasn't what they aimed for to begin with? can you even be sure if the medium they spend the most time on is the medium they intended to pick up from the beginning, or is it a medium they've had to pick up to compromise for not picking up another art form they wanted to stick to in the first place due to myriads of reasons?

Finally starting to get some proper fairy worldbuilding brainstormed for the random card au, huge win for 3 specific characters and them only
#rat rambles#random card au#band posting#sekai posting#my current concept is that long story short these guys are magical beings that evolved alongside humans#they generally lived side by side but eventually the gods decided if they wanted full worship it'd be best to seperate them#so they basically offered the magic folk some real cushy deals to get them to move elsewhere and then attempted to trap them there#I say attempted cause rly this just lead to a long long war that ultimately resulted in a truce but not without some bullshit compromises#but despite the devinities efforts the magic folk still did exist alongside humans#the ones they did seperate however would end up being known by a different name due to their close work relationship with the gods#the two still have a. strained relationship to put it lightly. and the leading fae are still deeply petty abt what they do have to do#but they also very much do not want to start up another war so they do the bare minimum to fulfil their obligations#aka do some memory relocation#I say relocation because memories cant just be artificially erased with magic#so instead they usually chose a memory barer for the person being removed and store all the memories into them#maya is this for aya and rui is this for emu#its not a fun time since it means you cant leave the main city and youre usually chosen because you knew the person#airi is just a basic contractor tho so she isnt trapped in the city#maya does end up getting to leave tho because of chu2 insisting on contracting her#this wouldnt normally be allowed but chu2 is part divinity and her specific divinity bloodline holds a lot of power#so maya gets to be free for a bit to make music with a lil brat yippeee#its even more anxiety enducing because chu2 is specifically contracting her to participate in a music tornament#the winners of which will be graced with a fun visit from the god of their choice#which isnt a fun thing to have to dread when the person whos memories your holding for is one of said gods

Here is a horror I overcame with fic writing: I actually lost a substantial amount of work (about 1/3rd of a chapter) despite seemingly saving and backing up in two separate areas and the next day rewrote everything essentially from memory (and also better). If at any point my morale were going to be completely compromised I think giving up there would've been sensible.
#as far as I could reconstruct the accident Ctrl+S didn't work because I'm still sometimes unused to this keyboard#my pinky doesn't always reach properly#and I have this neurotic rule that I don't hit the pop-up when closing Word of 'Do you want to save?'#because I don't want to mix saving/quitting and I always manually save instead#so when it did that I just closed it because I was tired/assumed it was something minor#not mixing saving and quitting means that if quitting is interrupted in any way then the saving isn't compromised#it's just a habit I picked up from avoiding corruption in Sims 2 lol#anyway my solution now is that I click the save button instead of keyboard shortcut
