- the doctor comes back in after the blood test and the austin goes so pale at the revelation you’re worried he’s going to pass out
- the ride back to your flat is almost completely silent. austin holds your hand over the console as he drives, and you try not to cry.
- “whatever you wanna do, that’s okay.”
- “i don’t want an abortion” ends that conversation and he nods. “so we’re havin’ a baby then.” is what he says next, voice dry.
- luke bracy’s trailer is right next to austin’s and he’s heard you two fighting enough over the past year to think the email blast baz sends out is a prank. he realizes it’s not when he goes to talk to austin and you’re puking your guts up in his trailer bathroom.
- when he *does* talk to austin he lays it on him thick.
- “the two of you, you more specifically, need to figure your shit out before you’re bringing a baby into it.”
- “i know” austin says, biting the inside of his cheek. “i’m trying, to be better. for both of them.”
- you find out it’s a girl and baz makes a joke about history repeating that doesn’t sit right, but austin laughs so you do too.
- things feel a little less stressful after elvis wraps and you don’t have that to focus on on top of the whole baby growing inside you.
- austin goes a little crazy buying things- for both her and you. but how excited he is makes you excited. so you don’t it mind it.
- he’s almost more nervous than you the day she’s born, to the extent that a nurse asks if you want to kick him out so he doesn’t make you more panicked.
- you don’t, and you get him to calm down enough to sit down next to you.
- he cries when he sees his daughter for the first time, cries harder when he holds her.
- “hi pretty baby,” austin says quietly, brushing a finger over the back of her head like he’s scared he’ll break her. “you’re so beautiful, just like your mama.”
- you haven’t been living together but it’s easier to be under one roof with the baby here. eaiser in terms of taking care of the baby at least. austin is still shaking off elvis and seeing it when he’s holding your daughter terrifies you. but he loves her- and you, so it’s okay. it has to be okay.
- he calls you ‘cilla during an argument, twice.
- you take your daughter and go to your mom’s house for the night. austin shows up the next day and your mom makes you both sit down in the living room, no leaving until you talk everything out. mentions something about wishing someone had made her do this with your father that makes your chest tight.
- things get a lot better. you’re both seeing a therapist, your daughter is beautiful, happy and perfect. life is good.
- the press tour rolls around. you don’t take her to cannes, but you do take her to graceland. perhaps that wasn’t your best idea, but the presley family is hosting everyone for a bbq the day after the premiere and everyone is bringing their families.
- you’re watching austin and lisa do the interview in the jungle room when your daughter decides she’s no longer interested in being quiet so you take her outside.
- you never thought you struggled as intensely with shaking off priscilla the way austin did elvis. but something about holding your daughter to your chest pacing around the backyard of their house gets to you.
- priscilla watches you doing this from the window and it takes her right back to over five decades ago when she was doing exactly that. she looks away.
- when you go back inside to find everyone your daughter’s babbling, screeching “dada” over and over until she sees austin, wiggling out of your arms when she does.
- you’ve been trying to get her to practice her walking so you set her on her feet, gently nudging her in his direction. “go to daddy baby,”
- she takes an experimental step and austin beams. “yeah, come ‘ere lisa,”
- he doesn’t even realize what he’s said at first but everyone else does and you could cut through the tension in the room with a knife.
- you want to bolt and lock yourself in the bathroom. you only don’t because you don’t want to make a scene. baz laughs and the room moves on.
- you see priscilla look in your direction but actual lisa leans over and whispers something in her ear and she doesn’t come over.
- guilt is written all over austin’s face as her scoops your daughter up and kisses her face. “silly daddy, i know your name baby girl.”
- he walks over to you and wraps the arm not holding the baby around you, squeezing your hip. “i’m sorry mamas,” he whispers as he kisses the top of your head and you suck in a breath.
- “i hate it here.” you whisper and weren’t expecting such a strong word to come out, or to sound so close to tears. but austin nods along.
- you don’t really cry until you’re in the shower back at the hotel that night. austin steps in with you and you sob into his shoulder about you just want to go home and be done with everything elvis already.
- when you mumble through tears that you never want to step foot in the god damn state of tennessee again austin agrees.
- he has to go back to to graceland for a press conference the next day, and your presence is technically required too. but you make up a lie about getting food poisoning.
- you can tell baz sees right through it, but he lets it slide.

Part 1 | Part 3
Tumblr media
That hour had passed you by surprisingly quickly, with how often you’d space out staring over the crowd of fans to fantasize your interaction with Levi Ackerman all over once more in your hazy mind.
Just what had happened? Your babbling and jumbled words, earning you a receipt of his own personal number??
The more you thought about it, you figured this had to be some grueling joke. It had to, right? This never happened outside of fiction. Perhaps he had given you a public number of his, and if you texted it you might just end up embarrassing yourself.
But the look he’d had in his eyes when he glanced up at you before signing those ten numbers under his signature onto the very paper he held…surely he wasn’t one for cruel practical jokes, right?
Tucking the paper away for now, you brought yourself back to the present as the interview began.
For the entirety of the event, you couldn’t keep the giddy grin from your face as your favorite actors and actresses posed as their beloved characters to answer popular questions across many social media platforms. They would quote the author’s original scrip for accurate answers, as well as adding their own personal takes on the topics as the character’s roles.
How could this event have been any more enthralling; you had thought, just before managing to meet the gaze of Levi from the back of the room. Your breath stuck in your throat once more as you quickly diverted your stare.
But upon hearing the man start to speak into his small microphone to answer some questions on a cue card he held, your gaze snapped back up in an instant to find him. You could listen to his voice all day and never tire of how husky and yet smooth he sounded. While the questions were indeed interesting, and provoked curiosity within every fan present, you found it hard to focus on the words.
You pinched your thigh to make yourself concentrate less on the paper held securely in your hand, and more on the event you’d paid a good amount to come see.
The hours ticked by all too quickly, as much as you were anxious to get a chance to text Levi’s number. But finally the moment arrived when the cast all took a stand and thanked the audience for showing up.
Shaking hands grabbed at your belongings as you stood to clap alongside the hundred or so fans. The room was slow to clear, prohibiting you from leaving through the double doors just yet.
Realizing you’d be stuck in the exit line for some time, you let your anticipation get the better of you and pulled out your phone. You hesitated when the contact screen popped up, wondering just what you would say, should this in fact not have been a joke.
“Fuck it,” You whispered, hitting send.
Hey, Mr. Ackerman, this is Y/N from earlier. Loved getting to meet you today!
With a shaky sigh you pocketed your phone, fighting with your bag as you scanned the dispersing crowd. Your eyes naturally drifted back towards the interview table, watching the cast clear their things and be led back through a single door liking the back wall.
Surprisingly, Levi hadn’t departed yet. He stood beside two guards, arms folded and leaning casually against the table as they chatted.
You’d nearly looked away when his posture straightened. He pulled a thin black phone from his back pocket and unlocked it. You nearly lost your breath when he seemed to be reading the screen closely as his nimble thumbs ran across the lower half of the screen.
Daring to hope, you ducked down in the crowd slightly and checked the message you’d sent. And there at the bottom of the screen appeared a bubble icon.
Biting your lip, you were slightly saddened to see the line moving along. But now, you had a bit of a bounce to your step as you left the building and re-emerged back in the extensive parking lot.
You had to remind yourself to look away from your phone screen and watch for passing cars as you passed the walkway. Hastily unlocking your car, you slid inside and locked the door after you and picked up your phone.
I’m glad you enjoyed the event. But please, just Levi is fine. Seems you were anxious to test the validity of this number?
Who knows how long you sat there, shaking in your seat as your thumbs flew across the screen to form a response. But after some time discussing the event, Levi brought up the situation in which you hadn’t been able to say all you had wanted; what with the time limit per fan and your awkward stumbling.
With a burning face and shaking fingers you replied ‘yes’ to his suggestion for a quick call, as he had nothing left on his schedule after the interview, at least for a few hours.
You drove off with a tight grin, awkwardly taking the call once it rang. It was slow to begin with, you trying to be formal and Levi trying to convince you to just be yourself.
An hour into the drive home, you’d hardly recognized just how easy it had been to open up and ask the things you really wanted to know. He answered every question you had, to the best of your ability.
He never once sounded annoyed, nor distracted as the call progressed. In fact, he started asking you simple questions of his own.
Are you from around here?
No? Where at, then?
How damn long did you drive to get here?
When did you get into the show?
Why was my character your favorite? He’s kinda a dick.
All too soon you’d pulled into the lot outside your apartment, and bade him a hesitant goodbye. You’d have continued the call, if it hadn’t already been two hours of conversation and he had a shoot he had to attend for the company.
Offhandedly, he mentioned thinking on letting you have the first look how the photos would come out before he hung up, leaving you with an explosive feeling of butterflies in your gut.
Climbing the straits towards your room, you unlocked the door and flipped onto the couch with a barely contained scream.
You were living a reality you hardly thought feasible, how could you not be over the moon?
Just when you’d thrown your phone to the side some time later to grave dinner, your phone buzzed one last time.

Never thought I’d give my number to a fan. Coffee at Highland Cafè around 2 o’clock next week? That’s closer to you.

I can’t believe it’s 2017 and the PokéAni fandom is still grasping at unsourced interviews that have been translated through three different languages in thinly veiled attempts to try to stop other people from having headcanons / shipping things. Never change, fandom. Never change.
(don’t reblog, or I’ll block you. hit me up on pm if you really wanna talk.)

Chapter 1
Y/N’s P.O.V
“No! No. No. No” I said into the phone walking down the stairs, juggling folders, and my shoes which I still hadn’t had a chance to put on yet. “Jackson. No. You have been telling me for two weeks now, that the article is almost done.” I sighed “Jackson, listen” I groaned this man is being a pain in the ass and it’s much too early for this shit. I walked into the kitchen and saw Tom getting breakfast ready for him, and Suri. When he saw me, he gave me a bright smile.
“Morning” He said
“No. No. I’m tired of this, Jackson I need to have a rough draft of that article by noon today, or you will lose the right to print it at all.” I listened as he tried to babble some threat back to me “Jackson, the article was supposed to be printed a week after the interview, which was 2 months ago”
“Coffee?” Tom asked, I gave him a kiss on the cheek as a thank you, and grabbed the cup walking around the kitchen
“Jackson, I’m done with your excuses noon today, or I will have the whole interview retracted and we will take it to literally any other magazine” I said and hung up the phone. I threw my phone on the counter and let out a groan
“Wow, He must of made you really mad Y/N” Suri said in an adorable voice and I giggled
“Don’t worry I’m not mad Suri”
“Nope, I’ve known Y/N for over 20 years… she’s not mad, you’ll know when she’s mad” Tom said with a chuckle, I threw a towel at him which he easily dodged and went back to making breakfast
“Ready for school?” I asked her, as I took another sip of my coffee
“Yup, I got to take lots, and lots of notes today there’s a math test on Friday and today is the test review”
“You’ll do great sweetheart” Tom said, he placed some eggs on her plate, and kissed the top of her head.
“Y/N?” she asked
“Yes?” I asked with a smile
“Will, you help me study for my test tonight” she said with a pouty face, that was very difficult to say no to.
“Sweetheart I would love to, but I have something to do tonight…” I looked at Tom and I didn’t miss the confusion that crossed his face before he went back to making breakfast for himself.
“Please, please… just a few minutes… you always help me study”
“Ok, fine… but only for a little while” she gave me a hug
“Thank you, thank you” she jumped up and started to run for the door
“Sweetie sit down, you haven’t finished breakfast”
“Dad I’m going to miss the bus” she said
“I was hoping I could take you to school today” he said
“Dad” she gave him a look, and I couldn’t help but giggle. She is only 8 years old, but she is a sassy girl… can’t even imagine what’s she’s going to be like as a teenager.
“Ok, I surrender go on” he said, she ran over and gave him a hug before running out the door. He turned back to the stove grabbed the pan and put some eggs on his plate. “I would offer you some, but I know how you hate eating breakfast” I rolled my eyes
“Someone is grumpy this morning” I said
“I just don’t like the idea of her riding the bus” he said
“Tom…”
“She’s only 8”
“Tom, she’s going to be ok. I know you have security following that bus”
“What?” he asked
“Tom, when are you going to learn I know all” I said with a smirk “I have access to your email, texts, phone calls, bank accounts… I see who you call, email, text, and pay… hell I know your social security number… could have stolen your identity years ago, and be living alone on an island” he rolled his eyes
“Very funny, you would miss me” he said
“No, you would miss me, you might be the extraordinary, bad ass actor/stunt man… but you wouldn’t be able to function day to day without me”
“Please” he said with a scoff
“Ok, what’s your social security number?” I asked with a smirk, he glared at me “I’ll try one easier what’s your phone number?” I continued to smirk as I took a sip of my coffee
“Ok, fine you win… jeez you are on a rampage this morning”
“Ok, save the dramatics for the screen Mr. Reacher” I said with a smile.
“That’s Jack Reacher” he said
“Ok, Jack Reacher get ready to go to work”
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
I am sitting in Tom’s chair staring at my lap top going through email after email, making appointments, and working my way through Tom’s schedule when my phone dinged
Can’t wait to see you tonight.
I smiled when I read the message from David. I’ve been seeing David in secret for a few months now… and when I say secret I mean secret to Tom. I know if I told him I was seeing someone he will go into all protective mode. It always annoys the shit out of me.
“What’s got you smiling?” he asked, I looked up I didn’t even realize they cut
“Oh, this pathetic excuse of an article Jackson sent me” I said giggling
“So what are we doing tonight?”
“Huh?” I asked
“You said you couldn’t help Suri tonight because we had plans, I didn’t realize we did”
“No… I said I had plans”
“You have plans?” he asked
“Yeah, isn’t that strange? I have a life outside of you”
“So what are Your plans?” he asked
“My plans are none of your business” I said, he smirked
“I’ll figure out your plans”
“What?”
“By refusing to tell me, you have given me a challenge… I’ll figure it out”
“You’re an idiot, go back to set” he kissed my cheek
“I’ll figure it out” he said walking off, I bit my lip and gently touched where he kissed me… even though we kissed each other on the cheek very often it always made me want to blush whenever he kissed mine. I walked closer to the set, and watched Tom. He is an incredible actor, and no matter how hard I try I can’t help but fall in love with him over and over again. It might sound strange but I have loved him since I was 17, the moment I locked eyes with him… I was done for

I am sitting reading my book for English class, as always I am drawn in by the beautiful literature before me. Shakespeare is my favorite author… so far, I know as I get older I will be exposed to more and more authors that are equally as good… maybe even better.
I am currently sitting outside on the bleachers away from everyone, not one you would call popular. I keep to myself that’s how I like it, since I live in a time where liking to read is known as a loser thing to do, I just accepted that fate and stay away from everyone.
“Excuse me” I looked up and locked eyes with Tom Cruise… he’s one of the popular boys in school. I looked around trying to figure out who he was talking to. This gorgeous man can’t be talking to the weirdo who likes to read, and wears glasses.
“Me?” I asked, and he chuckled
“Yeah, I mean there’s no one else here” he said, and I blushed “Y/N, right?” he asked
“Yeah… um that’s my name” I said hesitantly
“Well, we’re in the same English class, and I forgot to write down the assignment I was hoping you could tell me what it is”
“Oh, sure. One second” I put the book down, and reached for my bag to pull out my binder
“Romeo and Juliet?” he asked “Didn’t we read this one already?” he asked
“Um yeah… but the assignment is to pick one of the Shakespeare plays and write about it, and as clique as it is, this is my favorite… I think I’ve read it 10 times” I said, I blushed and reached for my binder again and he chuckled. Great now he’s going to start making fun of me.
“But soft! What light through yonder window breaks? It is the East, and Juliet is the sun! Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon Who is already sick and pale with grief That thou her maid  art far more fair than she.” I looked at him expecting him to be looking at the book but to my surprise we was looking at me
“You know Romeo and Juliet?” I asked
“Yeah, we already read it” he said with a chuckle
“But you know it by memory” I said, he just smirked
“I may have read it a few times myself”
“You like to read?” I asked
“Why do you seem so shocked?” he asked confused
“Well… I mean… um… I’m just going to let you copy the assignment and not say anything else” I said
“Is it because I’m popular?” I shrugged my shoulders
“Well, yeah”
“Eh, it’s not all its cracked up to be… I’m not really sure how I got wrapped up with them. We really don’t have much in common”
“Well, you dating the cheer captain probably has something to do with it… and the fact you are ridiculously good looking”
“Really?” he said smirking
“Did I say that out loud?” I said, and he just kept smirking “Well, now that I just made a complete fool out of myself, I’m going to leave…” I ripped out the paper in my notebook with the assignment. “Take it, I don’t need it”
“Hey, hey… you don’t have to leave… I’m sorry for embarrassing you. It’s ok, many people tell me I’m good looking”
“Now you’re just being arrogant” I said
“Well, I think you’re very beautiful” he said, and I’m sure my heart stopped “I think your glasses are adorable, and your hair is really pretty” suddenly I got angry, this is got to be a joke. One of the popular guys coming over here to complement me?
“You’re just here to make fun of me aren’t you?” I stood up, to walk away but he grabbed my hand
“I’m not making fun of you” he said, but I couldn’t ignore the feeling running through my body as he held onto my hand “I’m not lying, I’m not an asshole”
“Why?” he laughed
“Why, do I think you’re pretty?”
“Why, are you here talking to me? I’m a nobody”
“Everybody is somebody… social status means nothing… and I like you, you seem really nice. You never give me the chance to talk to you, you always run out of class before I can reach you”
“I don’t understand why you want to get to know me”
“Because you don’t care about me”
“What?”
“You are the only person in the school who doesn’t run to my side and want to talk to me”
“So you’re making it your mission to talk to me?”
“Not a mission… I just want to talk to someone who likes things other than popularity” I looked at him confused “I like school, I love reading, history, and drama. I love it all. I want to talk to someone who also like learning things, my favorite thing to do it learn new things” I opened my mouth to speak, when Jessica appeared
“Tom” she said in her annoying voice “Tom, why are you here, you’re supposed to walk me to practice” she said
“I was just talking to Y/N… we were talking about Romeo and Juliet” she looked at me with disgust
“You sit with my boyfriend for 2 minutes, and you already infected him with your nerdiness” she said with disgust “Tom, let’s go before she turns you into a complete nerd” she said giggling
“Hey, don’t talk to her like that”
“What?” she asked him
“You can’t talk to her like that”
“Why not? She’s a loser”
“No, she’s a person like everyone else… and no one deserves to be spoken to like that”
“Tom, let’s go”
“No, I’m going to stay here and talk to my friend, you can take yourself to cheer practice”
“Tom, if you don’t walk me to cheer practice then we are done” she said
“Ok, fine” he said standing up, I sighed he was doing so well then she threatened him with a break up and he followed her. I watched as she leaned in to kiss him, but he stepped back. “Ok, fine I’m breaking up with you.”
“You’re breaking up with me, because of this loser?” she asked
“No, I’m breaking up with you, because I’m tired of you being so controlling, being a bitch to everyone… oh, you having sex with the quarter back in the locker room”
“That only happened one time” she said, wow she wasn’t even going to deny it
“I know for a fact it happened 4 times” she looked shocked “So, goodbye” he said
“You’re going to regret this Tom, no one breaks up with me” she stormed off, and he walked back over to me and sat down.
“Are you ok?” I asked
“Yeah, I honestly feel free” he said with a smile
“So, what do you say… you wanna be my friend? I know for a fact she’s going to turn the whole school against me… I need someone on my side” he said with a chuckle. I smiled
“Sure”
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
I looked at myself in the mirror, putting the finishing touches on my makeup getting ready for my date.
“So I guess you going to the spa is not your plans for the night” I jumped
“Tom, you can’t just walk in here” I said
“It’s my house” he said
“Yeah, but this is my room. Which I pay you rent for” he rolled his eyes
“Please, that money you give me every month goes into your next paycheck… I would never let you pay me to live here” I groaned
“What, do you want?”
“Where are you going?” he asked, I pushed past him and went downstairs to get my purse
“Tom, you don’t need to know everything I do” I said as he followed behind me
“I don’t need to know, but as your best friend I want to know” I sighed he is never going to give this up
“I’m going on a date” he gave me a blank stare, after a few seconds he finally said “anyone I know?”
“No.”
“How, did you meet?”
“Through a friend” I said
“What’s his name?”
“David”
“David…”
“You don’t get his last name, because I know you’re going to do a back ground check and tell me all the reasons I can’t date him” he looked shocked
“No, I…”
“Tom, you’ve done that for every guy I have ever dated. Trust me, we’ve been seeing each other for a few months… he’s a nice guy” I said with a smile
“I just worry about you, You and Suri are the most important people in my life. If anything happened to you…”
“Tom, I’m going to be fine… now go help Suri study. I’ll see you later” I said walking out the door.
“Wait” I turned around
“He’s um… he’s a lucky guy, you look beautiful” he said. I walked over and kissed his cheek
“Thank you for not being over bearing about this” I said
“Go have fun” he said with a fake smile.  as I reached the door, I heard “Just be careful, and be sure he treats you with the respect you deserve”
“I will” I turned around to look at him, but he was already headed up the stairs. David a really nice guy, and I really like him… but why am I so heart broken? When will I stop loving Tom?
So what did you think?
Next Chapter will talk more about Tom’s upcoming divorce.

Captains’ Love (Kaga & Ishigami x Their MCs)
Author’s note: Remember this? So, I decided to write a scenario based on the headcanons. Though, I changed things a little. Also, the Ishigami from here is a mix of ‘My Sweet Bodyguard’ and ‘Her Love in the Force’ Ishigami.
Summary: On his first anniversary of his marriage, Ishigami accidentally hears the conversation between two of his students. Though, the students have to go through a big shock when found out things about personal life of two different people.
Word counting: 1096
It was three years after Ishigami was assigned for the first time to be an instructor at the Public Safety Academy. His first students were already detectives. Some of them even had their own lectures as teachers. Between them were Sasaki, Chiba, and even the first valedictorian, known by actual students as Kaga’s fiancee.
Soma became a captain with his own squad. Though, he was still an instructor and kept in touch with his former teammates. Kurosawa got his long-awaited full-time aide.
Even his personal life changed. He looked at his left ring finger and saw the silver band that he wore nearly daily for a year now. However, he wasn’t too vocal about this part of him. Only the people who knew him before he met his future wife sensed the difference in his behavior. For his actual students, he still looked like a rough, heartless cyborg.
While thinking about the girl that he loved more than himself, he heard noisy voices coming from the table near him. There were his past students who were eating lunch with his actual students.
The soon-to-be Mrs. Kaga waved to him.
“Congratulations on your anniversary,” she said before continuing to talk lively with others.
Ishigami bowed and smiled softly. It was always like this. Every time MC was mentioned, he was melting into a puddle. Before he finished eating, a person sat near him. He didn’t have to see who it was to sigh heavily. The other one did the same thing.
“Don’t think that I do it because I like it. I don't want you nearer than ten kilometers to me,” started Kaga.
Though, the loud conversation at the table beside them made them stop talking. It was now impossible not to hear every word said.
“You know the actress I got into a few months ago? She said in an interview that today is the first anniversary of her marriage. I didn’t even know that she has a husband.”
Kaga looked at Ishigami. Ishigami looked at the students. One of his past students looked at him. The situation got even worse when the other classmate starting talking too:
“Are you talking about Prime Minister’s daughter? I thought that she was just another case of a rich kid, but she is indeed very talented. Though, how old is she? Isn’t she too young to be married?”
“From what I know, she is twenty-three. Have no idea how old is the guy...”
The staring didn’t finish. Ishigami was the only one not smiling in this situation. Kaga had a sarcastic grin on his face. Kaga’s fiancee had a stressed and contorted one.
“Do you know who else is having an anniversary today?” asked Kurosawa, who sat at their table.
The former students of the Academy choked simultaneously. Of course, they knew the answer. All of them sensed the difference in Ishigami’s personality before he met MC, after they started dating, and, finally, after they married. Maybe for other people, he seemed like a cyborg, but they knew that he was even worse three years ago.
“Who?” wanted the answer the two new students.
“You have to guess. But I’ll tell you a hint. Is one of the instructors.”
“Kaga is engaged, not married. You and Instructor Shinonome go on too many blind dates. It has to be Instructor Soma or Goto. It’s definitely not Narita or Ishigami, taking into consideration that not a single person can find a heart in their chest...”
Kurosawa looked at Ishigami. No, everyone, except the two students, was looking at Ishigami.
“Don't you know what is MC's real surname?” asked Naruko.
The men shook their heads. Though, the next second, their mouth opened agape. In front of them appeared the beautiful girl they were just talking about. Before they could say a thing, the girl was at their table, hugging the Academy’s former top student.
The girl didn’t refuse her best friend’s hug and, for nearly two minutes, they were glued to each other. Though, after finally returning to her senses, Kaga’s fiancee started:
“I think there’s a person who needs your love today more than me.”
“I came here for him, but I don’t know where he is.”
Four hands pointed to the person she was searching for. In a second, MC was in her husband’s loving hands, hiding her face in his chest. Ishigami returned her hug and kissed the top of her head.
“Thank you for being near me all this time,” he whispered in her ear, not caring at all that all the eyes in the room were looking at them. Yet, a big part of them already knew about the relationship between the frightening cyborg and the most promising actress in the country.
After the cute moment between them finished, MC turned towards Kaga. On his face appeared a nearly visible smile. Mrs. Ishigami could turn all people into soft kittens. No wonder she melted even the toughest instructor’s heart.
“Don’t forget about our meeting. You did such a good job while helping to organize my wedding that I want to do everything I can to help you organize yours. Especially because the bride is my best friend. Hideki is also full of enthusiasm. Even if he doesn’t show it to you. He told me that a lot of times.”
Hideki, though, wasn’t as happy about this conversation as his wife. A faint shade of red appeared on his ears. Taking his wife’s hand, he made his way to the exit.
It took more than five minutes for people to start talking again.
“Is Ishigami married? No... Is Ishigami married to MC? How? When? Why? She could do so much better...” started one of the students.
Though, before he could continue talking non-sense, a heavy hand hit his nape.
“Shut up, if all you can say is asinine babble,” spitted Kaga through his teeth.
“You didn’t know that Kaga’s future wife is Ishigami’s wife’s best friend?” asked Kurosawa, grinning.
“I want to go to your wedding just to see how they’ll fight in the end...” whispered the other student, to the lieutenant girl in front of them.
“Good thing no one invited you there,” stated Soma, who appeared out of nowhere behind him.
“They love their girls too much to fight on their weddings,” added Shinonome.
The former instructors went away. The new instructors followed them closely. After some steps, Kaga started to walk slowly. So his loyal aide could catch him up. Taking her hand in his, he kissed her left ring finger and squeezed it lovingly.

Tumblr media
Feb. 2020
„Naomi, our guest is having his makeup done. He will be in the studio in about five minutes, we’re on air in ten.”
„Thank you. My God, I had such a wonderful weekend! Can you imagine that Samuel Firth, the CEO of The Kellan Investments, agreed to finance my charity?? We actually went out on Saturday. I was certain he would have sent one of his employees, but no! He came himself! We went to Nobu Restaurant. We spent almost three hours talking about the charity and our legal, and psychological support. I told him about all the women and children needing our help. Apparently, he has four kids. He also gave me a wonderful idea – to build a house, where the most needed ones could temporarily live. He said the FI could provide the building to accommodate. That’s fucking awesome!”
„Sounds brilliant! You know I will always be grateful, that you helped me to move on, and that you gave me this job. I don’t know what we’d do without your help. I was such a mess. I mean it.” Sarah smiled at Naomi. „I can’t say thank you enough.” For a moment Sarah zoned out thinking about her previous life. Her husband abused her and their ten-year-old son. He even made them steal alcohol for him. She met Naomi by accident in Buddhist Centre, where Sarah was looking for help. Sarah remembered their first encounter. Despite Naomi’s petite frame, Sarah felt the great energy. Naomi invited Sarah to her charity, provided the legal and psychological care. They managed to fight the restraining order, which made Sarah feel much better and safe.
„Hey, Sarah.” Naomi approached the girl and grabbed her by the hand. „Everything is fine. It is fine. It will be fine.” Naomi gave Sarah a hug. „Now, let’s go to our guest. I’ve heard you fancy him!”
“Oh, I so do. Who doesn’t??”
“Well, sure he is handsome. But I’m definitely loyal to Leonardo DiCaprio. He’s such a great actor.”
„Not that handsome though! I hope I’ll get an autograph for me and for Tom, he’s a big Superman fan.”
„We’ll work that out”. Naomi winked at her, grabbed her notes and headed to the studio. To get there she had to use the elevator, which was at the end of the main lobby. Just after she called the elevator a man approached her.
„Excuse me” He tried not to smile at her, but obviously couldn’t. „I am Henry’s friend. I mean Henry Cavill’s friend. I’m Colin. I am such a fan of yours. I really enjoy your show very much. I so wanted to meet you. Man, you look even better in person. I mean you look wonderful on screen! But in person, you are even more beautiful. I’m sorry, I’m babbling. I know that.” He shook his head and laughed. „I will wait here for Henry. I just. I am your fan, really.”
Naomi was so amused by this situation but it felt really nice what the man had to say. „Thank you, Colin. It’s really nice to hear that. So, if you are a fan of the show, maybe you’d like to see it from the inside? Come with me!”
They both entered the elevator, which lead them to the tenth floor.
„Good evening everyone!” Naomi said rushing through the studio towards two huge sofas located in the centre side of the stage. Her guest was sitting on one of these.
„Mr Cavill, very nice to meet you.” she extended her hand. Henry immediately stood up and shook her hand.
“It’s Henry, Nice to meet you too. Confession time. I must admit I am quite nervous to be here. You can be so abrupt to your quests!” He was partly teasing of course, but not quite.
“Me abrupt?!” She exclaimed with and smirked. “Nobody has ever told me that! When have I been abrupt?”
“I remember the episode with Jesse McBell, the theatre director and how you baptized him for not knowing who Grotowski was! I so watched it yesterday, just to prepare for the worst.” He laughed.
“Oh no. I do remember that! Was that abrupt reaction, really??” She giggled. She did remember that encounter. The guy was so full of himself, there was no discussion with him – each movie Naomi asked about was “shit”, each director was a “spoiled wannabe”. Only Jesse McBell was the greatest. Naomi as a typical hot-tempered person decided to teach him a lesson. On vision. That was very unprofessional, obviously. She regretted being so harsh. It turned out though, that it was one of the most watched and liked episodes of the season. “But I tell you what. Fear not! I am a huge fan of the Witcher, so I will be gentle with you. Promise.” She gave him the sweetest smile. “Please take a seat.”
They both sat on the sofas, facing each other.
“So. Are you the game fan or the books fan?” Henry lifted his eyebrow and smiled at his host.
“Mostly books. I’ve started to play only a couple of months ago. I can’t complete one task. I just have no idea how to..” Naomi stopped talking as she heard the director’s voice in her earphone. “40 seconds to get on air.” She smiled at Henry, who obviously was a bit nervous. “No worries, today I am as gentle as a little puppy.” They both chuckled.
A few seconds later they started rolling. The interview went very well. Naomi kept her promise, but couldn’t deny herself to tease Henry a little bit about his nervousness. Henry felt almost intimidated each time she asked questions and looked at him with her piercing grey eyes. He was impressed by her knowledge about the movie industry and the acting methods. He enjoyed the form of this encounter. It was rather a conversation than a typical interview.
“So … I hope it wasn’t as bad as you expected it to be. I wouldn’t like to become your nightmare.” She said after they heard “cut” in their earphones.
Henry stood up so that the staff could remove his micro. “No, no. It was a real pleasure. I mean it. You have quite a big knowledge about acting methods. Have you ever tried to perform?”
“Well. Yes and no. I have a master degree in acting. I graduated drama school in London and I did a three - month course in Moscow. It was my dream once. So at school I was performing, mostly in theatres. I really enjoyed working on a role and acting in theatre. I did some movie projects but just small indie productions. The surrounding though was not for me. I mean the castings, convincing everyone that I’m prettier, slimmer, fatter, taller, smaller, better, more talented. No. That’s not for me. So, I started to work as a radio reporter. For a short time, I prepared criminal podcasts. That was so cool, I really liked that! Then I moved to the cultural news section as one of the reporters got fired and I was a drama school graduate. And then it just happened, I got the offer to work here.”
“Don’t you regret that you gave up acting?”
“I once did. For a moment. It happened when my friend was a guest of the show, she studied with me. She’s a great actress. When I interviewed her, just for a second, I felt like – oh, it could have been me. But I believe everything happens for a reason.”
Naomi didn’t even notice Colin, who approached them.
“Oh. Naomi, this is my friend Colin. He’s a real fan of yours. And the reason of my nervousness. He showed the bloody episode to me!” Henry laughed and patted his friend’s arm. “He couldn’t wait to meet you”.
“Yes, we’ve already met today.” She turned towards Colin, who was smiling shyly. “Are you from movie industry?”
Both Henry and Colin looked at each other and laughed. “God no!” Colin shook his head. “I would never agree to work in that industry, no money could convince me. Ever. I’m an accountant.”
“Oh ok.” Naomi raised her eyebrow “I’ve never been good at numbers. Unfortunately. I spend money way too easily. Afterwards I always cry.”
“Oh. So, you need a good accountant!” Colin exclaimed.
“Or a rich husband.” Henry looked at Colin and wrapped his around his friend. “But of course, a good accountant would be a much better choice!” He couldn’t believe that after all these years of friendship, teasing Colin has still been so amusing.
“Well thank you gentlemen for your wonderful advice, but I have to announce that I already had a rich husband, and it took me three years to divorce, and I do have an accountant. But to prove my appreciation for your advice, I’d like to invite you to the party held by BBN on Friday evening.” She whispered “They throw great parties.”
Henry was to thank her for an invitation, and explain that he wasn’t sure if his schedule allows him to participate, but Colin was quicker.
“But of course, we will be there! Wonderful. Thank you, Naomi.”
She chuckled lightly and looked at Henry “So, Sarah will contact your agent and provide you with all the details. I will sign you both up on the guests list, and if you can make it, you’re welcomed. It was a pleasure to meet both of you.” Naomi shook Henry’s and Colin’s hands and headed back to her office.
Before she reached the elevator, Henry, who apparently rushed after her, stopped her.
“Naomi, I’m sorry I just checked up my phone and I can’t make it to the party on Friday. I have a family meeting. I can’t let them down.”
Naomi just nodded. She felt a bit disappointed, which was strange to her. She hasn’t felt anything like that for at least two years. Ever since she got divorced, she’s become emotionally numb. It has been very hard to disappoint her, as she didn’t care for anything at all. Excluding her tv work and her charity, these two years have been filled with parties, lots of expensive trips, shopping and flirting, just for sport. “Well, it’s a pity. I thought that I’d get more brilliant advice, like the one about getting a rich husband.” She chuckled. “But of course, I do understand. No worries.”
“Yes… I have some more in stock.” He smiled. After a minute of awkward silence, he added “How about having a lunch this week? We could continue our conversation about movies and the Witcher game, as you’ve said you couldn’t complete a task.”
Two women approached them as they needed to use the elevator. Once they realized who is standing next to them, they looked at each other, at Naomi, at Henry and started giggling, which made Naomi laugh. So, after a second, all of them were laughing.
“Oh God you act as if we didn’t have famous, handsome guests in here!” Naomi rolled her eyes.
“Naomi, you obviously do have them on your tenth floor. We don’t! Sooo. Can we ask for a photo? I know it’s so lame. I feel ashamed asking, but still. Can we?” One of the women put out her phone.
“Of course!” Henry smiled at them, and posed for the photos. Afterwards, satisfied women entered the elevator, and he turned to Naomi. “So?”
“So? Oh, the lunch! Yes, sure we can catch up later this week.” She handed him her business card with the phone number. “If you’re around, just call me”.
“I certainly will! Have a good day Naomi.”
“You too. Goodbye.” She smiled at him one last time, and entered the elevator, which has just arrived.

Title: The one where Komaeda is the producer for a terrible movie, Enoshima is the worst kind of celebrity, and Hinata is just a stuntman for Kamukura.
Author: @serahne-is-here
For: @ask-the-sakamaki
Rating/Warnings: Some swearing, but that’s it
Prompt: AU ! ( I picked a ‘Actors AU’ even if technically neither Komaeda nor Hinata are actors )
Author’s notes: I didn’t write in english in ages, so I really hope you enjoy it <3
“And… cut !” declared Director Kirigiri, holding firmly her bullhorn with two hands.
As soon as the magic word was spoken, relief flooded the studio, as everyone on set felt allowed to relax, if only for just a little while. It was a stressful - and yet, pretty normal - day in Hope’s Peak Studio : one scene down, two to go.
“Sonia, it was your best take, we keep it. Izuru, stunning as usual,” offered Kirigiri off-handedly, before standing up and starting to stretch, arms behind her back. “Let’s take a thirty minute break, and then we move on to the Waterfalls. Please tell the stuntmen they need to go get dressed, we miraculously managed to be on time for today, let’s try to keep it that way.”
Everyone in the studio mumbled in agreement, before they dispersed themselves around the room, in a chaotic, yet very organized fashion. From where he was standing, just a few feets behind the camera crew, Hinata was perfectly well-placed to admire how everyone in this creative hive was buzzing around, in a dance that they all knew by heart. It was, after all, their sixt day of filming Dreams of Future, and they knew their roles and lines as well as the actors did.
Koizumi, Kirigiri’s assistant, bounced toward Sonia and started praising her, at such speed that Hinata couldn’t understand half of it. Kamukura looked around, his eternal bored expression carved in his face at this point, before he disappeared inside his lodge. Slowly, as would a heavy animal migrating for winter, cameras and micros started to move to the Waterfalls set.
Hinata was about to go and get dressed - Kirigiri had been really adamant stuntmen shouldn’t be late, and he wasn’t about to make a bad impression to the studio owner’s daughter - when, from behind him, came a voice he only knew too well.
“What did you think of the show, Hinata ? Absolutely splendid, was it not ?”
Hinata turned around, frowning, and his eyes immediately found the voice’s owner : Nagito Komaeda, main producer for the movie, and all around one of the most unpleasant person he had ever met. Which wouldn’t be so bad if he wasn’t also one of the most attractive person he had ever met.
Both of these things sent mixed messages to Hinata’s brain, and it tended to just shortcut whenever Komaeda was nearby.
“I guess,” he replied, making sure that his eyes didn’t linger too long on the other - over his dead body would he be caught staring at Komaeda. “Sonia is really talented. Her role might be small, but she is nailing it.”
She really was. Sonia Nevermind was an european actress, looking to make herself a name in Japan. Beyond her eccentric personality, typical of foreigners, she was also incredibly sweet, humble, and hard-working, which was more than could be said for most actors than Hinata had worked with.
Komaeda huffed at Hinata’s reply, a sound that made him both incredibly adorable and punchable at the same time. As he said : mixed signals.
“Only Miss Nevermind ?” he noticed, amused. “I see that your jealousy over Kamukura’s incredible success is alive and well. How awful of you.”
“I’m not jealous of Kamukura,” said Hinata, gritting his teeth. “Why would I be ? He has the emotional range of a vacuum cleaner. A four-year old emote more in a minute than he does in a year.”
Komaeda hummed quietly. “That might be so. But we both know you couldn’t care less about anyone’s acting skill. Actually, if you truly think so low of his skills, his popularity must be even more insufferable to you, right ?”
“Will you shut up ?” Hinata mumbled back,
Hinata shook his head. Kamukura’s success in the filming industry was the most bewildering thing for him. The guy didn’t act. He wasn’t even bad at it, he just didn't try. All he did was wearing the same bored, vaguely annoyed expression, movie after movie. And for some reasons, critics loved him, praised him for his ‘original take’ on his roles, and promised him a glorious career.
This was ridiculous.
“Don’t be so bitter, Hinata,” the white-haired man calmly smiled at him. “The truth is, even if Kamukura wasn’t as talented as he is, it wouldn’t make you more popular. These studios are full of nobodies thinking they can become somebody. This is admirable, but useless, for most of them. In a way, I think you should be proud of your achievement : at your own level, you are helping our stars to shine, in their creative processes. A wonderful stepping stone for the glorious people blessed with talent.”
Hinata narrowed his eyes. Back when he first met Komaeda, this kind of insult would have made his skin crawl, and he would have breathlessly argued with the other. But he had eventually realized that no amount of arguing would change his mind. And he had to be on set in twenty-two minutes.
“Great talk, but I have to go and get in costume. And them I guess I’ll throw myself from the top of the Waterfalls, if Enoshima acts her usual self.”
“That sounds lovely !” Komaeda clapped his hands, excitedly. “I wish I could come with you, but alas, I have to talk to Kirigiri before the next scene begins. Though I won’t leave without saying goodbye, of course.”
Hinata sighed, a smile working his way up to his lips, despite his annoyance.
“Sounds good.”
*
Stunts weren’t Hinata’s first choice of career, of course. He had always dreamed of being an actor, ever since he was a starry-eyed kid, whose nonsensical babbling wasn’t taken seriously by the adults around him. This dream had stuck with him, up until adulthood, when he had finally found out how impossible it was to get roles when one didn’t have any contact in the industry.
One year ago, when Hope’s Peak Studios had called him, telling them that he had the ‘perfect body type’ to play Izuru Kamukura’s double, the offer has been too tempting to refuse. It was finally his chance to meet people who could help him grow as a true actor.
That hasn’t been the case, so far. His work was spotless, and he was regularly called back by the Studios - who was even ready to discuss his fees from movie to movie - but always as a stuntman, and most of the time for Kamukura. It wasn’t the worst job in the world, he was being paid more than most people working in the Studios - he was putting his body on the line, after all - but… if anything, being so close to his dream, without being able to live it was his own personal hell.
Something was missing. And maybe Komaeda was right, and it was the popularity, and the spotlight, and the journalists begging you for interview, and the expensive gifts, and all this superficial stuff that society told him to adore and reject, all at once. But, Hinata knew, it was more than that. It wouldn’t have hurt that much if it was only that.
He did want to be an actor, and a part of him had always thought he would end up being one. As a child, he had wanted to be a samurai, a cowboy, a wizard, an adventurer, an astronaut, and has soon realized that only one job would allow him to be all that - and even more - at once.
Being an actor was to live a thousand lives. And maybe it was worth wasting the only one he had over it.
*
It was four hours later, and nothing was going well. Everyone was on the Waterfall set, which was pretty awful in itself - everything looked really fake, and Hinata knew everything would be corrected in post-production but still it was barely better than a green screen at that point.
Everyone was exhausted, Kirigiri was on her four coffee cup, and Kamukura seemed almost in a dissociative state with how much he seemed to care about his surroundings.
Of course, it was all Enoshima’s fault. She was objectively one of the biggest star in Japan, and everyone knew that her being in the movie would guarantee some kind of success. She was also a terrible human being, who enjoyed nothing more than to reduce to tears her assistants.
“This is what you call a macchiato ?” She spat to the poor girl’s face, who was already quivering in fear. “I could piss in a cup and it would taste better than that. Are you trying to poison me ?”
“I can’t believe you accepted to hire her,” Hinata mumbled to Komaeda’s attention, as they were both looking at the scene with consternation. “She is not a bad actress, but she is not worth the hassle. Sonia could play her part just as well.”
Komaeda looked at Hinata, all wide-eyed and pink-cheeked, and it was really infuriating how pretty he looked after so many hours of being stuck in the Waterfall set with the entire film crew. Hinata was sure that he looked like a mess, even after he took off the heavy wig he wore when he incarnated Kamukura.
Seeing how things were going, he wouldn’t have to save Junko’s ass from a well-deserved fall to death before ten o’clock, anyway. And only if Kirigiri didn’t give up and call it a day until then.
“I’m not taking any creative decision,” Komaeda replied with a shrug. “I wasn’t the one who asked for Enoshima. I’m not sure who did, to be completely honest.”
“Someone who doesn’t have to spend hours with her everyday,” guessed Hinata, grimacing when he saw Enoshima’s assistant run away, probably in order to get another coffee. “I never thought she was that good of an actress. Did you ?”
Komaeda hummed noncommittally but didn’t add anything, which, considering his habit to wax poetry about every actor in the Studios, definitely meant he was agreeing with him. Hinata weirdly felt vindicated by that.
“She will attract a different audience,” explained Komaeda. “She is very popular with teenage girls, and straight males. Since I’m neither I might not be the best person to judge of her appeal.”
They both fell silent, looking at Kirigiri and Enoshima’s argument about a specific line that Enoshima wanted to change in the script, and Hinata took the time to file the information he had just received from Komaeda, just in case.
“You could fire her,” Hinata suggested. “You’re putting the money, you get to decide, right ?”
Komaeda chuckled. “I’d rather leave the creative process to talented people, that’s better for everyone.”
“Wait,” Hinata replied. “You are talking as if you didn’t take any decision for the movies you are funding. That makes no sense.”
“That’s the case,” Komaeda shrugs. “I just give the money, and the Studios does the rest.”
“But this is ridiculous ! All your movies were success. All of them. Including the one that is entirely made in sign language. You have to… I don’t know.. influence some creative choices, right ?”
“Nope !” Komeada said, laughing. “You are confusing any kind of skill with pure luck, Hinata. I’m no different from someone who son the lottery.”
“Who won the lottery five times,” Hinata corrected. “You produced five movies. Six with this one, which will probably be an incredible success. I don’t know why because Kamukura can’t act, Enoshima is the worst, the script is terrible, and the set looks like it’s made in cardbox,” Hinata argued.
Komaeda fell silent, and looked away from Hinata.
“This is what you think ? Interesting.”
He didn’t have the time to say more, Kirigiri was calling him for his scene, and he had to put on his stupid, smelly wig and save Junko Enoshima from her death.
Sometimes his life sounded like a joke.
*
“And… cut !”
Hinata almost cried in relief, throwing his wig on the floor - almost hoped it would fall in the water, but since the waterfall wasn’t really one, it wouldn’t make this horrendous thing disappear. It was finally over. The crew was given a day off, and the express command to rest during that day, as everyone looked dead on their feet. Every scene with Enoshima had been filmed though, so the rest would probably be a piece of cake.
He was surprised to see Komaeda still lounging around, as exhausted as the rest of them were.
“You’re still there ?” Hinata asked him. “How surprising.”
“It really is,” Komaeda yawned, hand in front of his mouth. He was always so proper. “I just wanted to ask you something.”
“Shoot,” Hinata replied
“Let’s walk.”
Komaeda started to drift away from the crowd, getting closer to the waterfall.
“Uh, sure ?” Hinata said, following him, a few steps behind. “I kinda want to go home, at some point ? And, you know, sleep until friday morning, or until I’m dead may-”
“Why didn’t you ask me to star in one of my movies ?” Komaeda cut him off, very seriously.
“What ?” Hinata asked, caught off-guard. “Where the hell does that come from ?”
“Komaeda tilted his head on the side, curious. “You seem to think that I have some sort of curse, that makes all the movies I’m producing highly-successful. You are wrong, as I was only lucky, but if that is what you think, and if you truly want to become an actor in the future, why didn’t you ask for a part in one of my movies ?”
Hinata blinked. Truth was, he didn’t consider Komaeda as a ‘contact in the industry’. He was unpleasant, rude at the time, unwillingly hilarious, and Hinata enjoyed spending time with him, more than he would admit it. He didn’t want to… use his relationship ( whatever it was ) with Komaeda to further his career
God, he was never going to be an actor at this rate, right ?
“I didn’t want to owe you anything.” He settled for something that sounded vaguely honest.
“Well, aren’t you a prideful nobody,” Komaeda huffed.
But he was smiling too. And Hinata felt like he had done something right, in this whole mess. Without thinking, he took a few steps in the other’s direction, until he was so close he could see every nuance of green inside Komaeda’s eyes, and noticed how the other’s eyes fell on his lips. They were… as alone as they had ever been.
“I…” started Hinata, without any idea what he was going to say.
But he didn’t have to rack his brain for anything, as suddenly, previsibly, a chunk of the so-cheap-it-was-probably-carbox set cracked under Komaeda’s feet. Hinata saw his eyes widen comically, his mouth open in a silent scream of surprise, and the next instant, he was plunging toward the ground, five meters under them.
Hinata reacted in half-a-second, and caught Komaeda’s wrist as a reflex, and didn’t let go even when he heard the characteristic crack of a broken bone. He almost let go, though, when he heard Komaeda laugh breathlessly.
“See, Hinata ?” His laugh was borderline hysterical. “Am I not the luckiest person alive ?”
“You broke your fucking wrist, Komaeda,” he replied.
*
As predicted, Dream of Future was a huge success. It might or not have been because Enoshima created a huge scandal by pretending being pregnant with Kirigiri’s husband’s child, and then claiming that she would kill herself if he didn’t recognize the baby. Sure, critics tore the movie appart, as it was objectively a pile of burning trash, but everyone wanted a taste of the scandal, as short-lived as it was.
All in all, Hinata was happy to only be a stuntman in this whole affair.
Maybe not wanting to be in one of Komaeda’s movie wasn’t that stupid of an idea.

Hold Me By Both Hands: Chapter 1
Disclaimer: I don’t own ML.
Summary: “I know he said never to take you back,” Plagg mutters. “But he’d change his tune if he knew.” He looks Adrien straight in the eye and, more serious than Adrien’s ever seen him before, says, “There’s someone you gotta meet. He’s been looking for that book for ages.”
How differently might the events of season 2 have gone if Adrien had also known of Master Fu from the start?
Chapter 2 | AO3 link
“Hawkmoth?” Adrien’s eyes bulge at the sight of the supervillain in the book right before him, sketched on the ancient page with the utmost of care. “What’s this monster doing in a book about superheroes?”
“About…what?” Plagg abandons his Camembert hunt to zip back out of Gabriel’s safe, which he and Adrien had just broken into after spying Gabriel hiding something behind a portrait of Emilie in his atelier. And that something is this book that’s got Plagg looking like he’s been hit over the head by a baseball bat.
“You said a second ago that you’ve seen this book before,” Adrien says. “Is it important?”
“Is it – is it important?” Plagg facepalms. “You know what you’re holding, kid? Pure gold! Something that’s been lost for over a century!” He squints down at the book, as though he’s wrestling with himself.
Okay, what the hell is going on right now?
“I know he said never to take you back,” Plagg mutters. “But he’d change his tune if he knew.” He looks Adrien straight in the eye and, more serious than Adrien’s ever seen him before, says, “There’s someone you gotta meet. He’s been looking for that book for ages.”
Adrien blinks and flips the page to reveal a new hero clad in deep blue, holding a large fan spread wide like a peacock’s tail. “What’s so special about this book? It’s just got pictures of Miraculous heroes. Is there more information or something?”
“You don’t even know, kid,” Plagg says. “That book’s got all the secrets about us. In the wrong hands – wait.” He looks from the peacock hero back at the safe, then back at the book, then darts to the safe and pokes a little brooch in the shape of a peacock’s tail. “Adrien, you gotta take this too.”
“The brooch? But why –”
“Just take it, alright?” Plagg shouts. “But don’t touch it!”
Adrien jumps and, on autopilot, does as he’s told, grabbing a tissue out of his pocket to scoop the brooch into his bag. “Sorry –”
“No, no, I’m sorry.” Plagg slumps in mid-air. “This is just – this is huge, Adrien. That’s the Peacock Miraculous and it was lost when the Butterfly was. And there’s something weird about it. Something damaged. Can’t tell if Duusu’s off too, so just don’t summon her.”
Like some sort of terrible jigsaw puzzle, the pieces start to click together in Adrien’s mind. “Are you saying that –”
The sound of footsteps causes his heart to leap into his throat. With a gasp, he shoves the book into his bag too and closes the safe and painting of Emilie. And not a moment too soon; as soon as he’s darted away from the painting, Nathalie and his bodyguard enter the room.
“Adrien? You’re going to be late,” Nathalie says. Adrien laughs, fumbles out an excuse about looking for his homework, then follows them outside, with the bag slung over his shoulder practically scorching a hole in his side.
.
Lila. Lila. Lila, Lila, Lila.
That’s the only name on everyone’s lips when Marinette enters the school with Alya that morning, half an hour early for once in her life. Seriously, are they being visited by royalty? Lila knows Prince Ali, Jagged Stone, Steven Spielberg…
“And Ladybug!” Alya thrusts her phone at Marinette to reveal a video on the Ladyblog with this new girl in the thumbnail. “She’s besties with Ladybug and she gave me an exclusive interview!”
“Uh…Alya, I don’t think that’s true…” Marinette says slowly. How is she going to point this out without incriminating herself as Ladybug? She can’t exactly just up and say that she’s never met this Lila Rossi before.
“Why wouldn’t it be?” Alya says. “She’s got the most amazing life!”
“But she’s new, right?” Marinette says. “How could she be best friends with Ladybug if she’s new?”
“Ladybug saved her life once.” Alya nudges Marinette with a smirk. “You’d know that if you watched more than two videos on my blog.”
“Ladybug’s saved half of Paris,” Marinette points out. “Lila’s not the only person she’s saved.” She hasn’t even saved Lila before. “If anyone was going to be her best friend, I’d think it’d be someone like you, right? You’re the one she gave that interview to. She wouldn’t even think of agreeing to that interview when I asked until I mentioned that you’d be the one interviewing her. She’s only saved Lila once, but she’s talked to you loads of times.”
“Oh – well, I mean, you’ve got a point there.” Alya practically swells before Marinette’s eyes.
“And even if Lila was Ladybug’s best friend, don’t you think it’s a little irresponsible that she’s bragging about it?” When Marinette’s on a roll, she’s on a damn roll. “What if Hawkmoth sees that interview? If Lila’s telling the truth, he could totally use her against Ladybug!”
The blood drains from Alya’s face. “Shit. Shit. I didn’t even think – shit, I gotta take it down!” She fumbles to unlock her phone and navigate to the Ladyblog, where she swiftly deletes the video with a sigh. “All those views…”
“I’d say the life of a civilian is more important than views, right?” Marinette silently vows to drop by Alya’s place sometime and give her the best damn interview ever to make up for this.
“True…” Alya frowns over at the brunette who’s surrounded by people who are hanging off her every word. Ah. Lila Rossi in the flesh. “You know…it is kinda unbelievable that she knows all those people. Jagged Stone, sure. Prince Ali…well, her mother is a diplomat. But all the Hollywood directors? Do diplomats even talk to directors?”
“Who knows?” Marinette says. She frowns and looks over her shoulder. “Where’s Adrien? He’s usually here way before now.”
“Someone’s a stalker!” Alya sings teasingly, linking arms with Marinette as they walk straight past Lila and her captive audience. On their way, she snags Nino’s arm and hauls him away from Lila.
“Who? Me? Stalker! No way! I’m just concerned! For a friend!” Marinette babbles through flaming cheeks. Can the ground just, like, swallow her right now?
“Dude!” Nino complains. “Lila was just about to tell me about the time she met –”
“Use your brain, you big lug,” Alya says, lacing their fingers together. “You really think one person knows every single director? Especially a diplomat’s kid?”
“If she was the daughter of an actress or director then sure.” Marinette gratefully seizes the change of subject with both hands. “And she also said she was Ladybug’s best friend, but she’s the new kid. Ladybug doesn’t go around being besties with everyone she saves, does she? Otherwise, she’d be besties with Alya or –” She shudders. “Chloé.”
“Aww.” Nino’s shoulders slump. “I thought I was finally gonna meet Spielberg…”
Something black flashes out of the corner of Marinette’s eye. When she whips her head around to get a better look, her eyes widen at the sight of a familiar dark superhero leaping across the rooftops away from the school. Why is Chat Noir out? Is there an akuma somewhere? What kind of akuma could be so insidious that no one else knows about it yet?
“I – uh – bathroom!” Marinette blurts out, yanking her arm away from Alya’s. “That hot chocolate I had for breakfast went right through me!” She bolts before Alya or Nino can call her out on her bullshit excuse and ducks into the first empty classroom she stumbles across.
“Akuma?” Tikki says as soon as she zooms out of Marinette’s purse.
“Why else would Chat Noir be out?” Marinette says. “I have to go and see what’s wrong. Tikki, spots on!”
As soon as she’s outside the school and out on the rooftops, she opens her yo-yo and calls Chat Noir. He picks up on the third ring, greeting her with his usual flirtatious grin.
“Well, milady, I wasn’t expecting someone so stunning to call an alley cat like me,” he says.
“You’re just lucky that I take pity on mangy alley cats,” Ladybug shoots back with an answering smile. “Is everything alright, kitty? Is there an akuma or something?”
“No, there’s no akuma. Actually…” Chat Noir’s grin vanishes. “There’s something important I have to show you. Like, my-kwami-freaked-out important. Can we meet on the school roof?”
“Lucky for you, I’m nearby.” Ladybug angles her yo-yo screen to show him the school behind her. “What exactly do you have to show me?”
“You’ll find out in a few minutes,” Chat Noir says. He pastes his flirty grin back on his face and blows her a kiss. “It’s a date, bugaboo!”
“That cat,” Ladybug sighs when he hangs up. Shaking her head, she jumps back to the school rooftop and sits down to wait for Chat Noir, crossing her legs neatly. Man, what she wouldn’t give to be able to install apps on her yo-yo for times like this. Thankfully, it doesn’t take too long before she spots him bounding towards her with something rectangular tucked under his arm.
“Please, please, no need to stand on occasion,” Chat Noir says when he lands on the rooftop and Ladybug jumps to her feet.
“Silly kitty,” Ladybug says. “What’s so important that your kwami freaked out?”
In response, Chat Noir holds out the rectangular thing he’d been carrying. It’s…a book. An extremely old-looking book, sure, but still a book. When she flips it open to a picture of a Chinese woman in ladybug-patterned clothing, however, she immediately understands just why Chat Noir’s kwami might have freaked out.
“Plagg said that it’s full of secrets about us,” Chat Noir says as an open-mouthed Ladybug thumbs through the pages of strange writing and animal-themed superheroes. Is that a dragon? “And he said there’s someone who needs to see it. I was on my way there when you called.”
“This is incredible!” Ladybug says in a hushed voice. She gasps when she turns the page and is greeted with a man dressed in purple, with a silvery mask covering his head. “Hawkmoth?”
“That’s what I said!” Chat Noir’s literally bouncing on the balls of his feet. “That’s why akumas are butterflies. Hawkmoth’s using the Butterfly Miraculous for evil!”
“I would’ve thought that was obvious, silly kitty.”
“But there’s more. Give me a second.” Chat Noir ducks behind one of the massive metal HVAC fans, so Ladybug dutifully turns her back to allow him to detransform. When he emerges as Chat Noir once more, he’s holding something small in his hands, resting on a little white tissue.
“A peacock brooch?” Ladybug frowns down at the little blue and green peacock tail. But then she gasps and flips through the book until she comes across a hero dressed in deep, vivid blue. “Is that a Miraculous?”
“A damaged one,” Chat Noir says. “Plagg sensed that there was something wrong with it. He told me not to touch it in case there was something wrong with the kwami too. But yeah! It was lost when the Butterfly one was as well!”
“Where on earth did you find this?” Ladybug closes the book and hands it back to Chat Noir. “Do you know what this means? If the Peacock was lost with the Butterfly –”
“– then whoever had it could be Hawkmoth?” Chat Noir grimaces. “Yeah. I know.”
“Who had these? Where did you get them?”
“Adrien Agreste.”
Adrien? Ladybug’s heart screeches to a halt in her chest. No! Adrien can’t be Hawkmoth! He’s such a sweet, amazing person – but he’s never around when akumas attack – but he can’t be –
“No way can Adrien be Hawkmoth!” she snaps. Chat Noir blinks at her.
“I didn’t think that,” he says in an odd voice. He grins. “But I’m sure he appreciates your defence, milady. No, Adrien went snooping in his father’s office and found these in a safe. He gave them to me when he looked through the book and realised what it was about.”
Phew. Thank god. Ladybug’s heart resumes its normal rhythm. “Does that mean that Adrien’s father could be Hawkmoth?” she says.
“That’s what I’m thinking. I don’t want it to be true, for his sake, but…” Chat Noir shrugs. “I’ve gotta get these to whoever Plagg was talking about before school starts. Care to join me for a morning stroll, milady?”
Ladybug smirks when Chat Noir bows and holds his hand out. She takes it, then twists his wrist gently when he tries to kiss the back of her hand.
“The only reason you’ll be taking the lead on this one is because your kwami told you where to go, kitty,” she teases, taking the Peacock Miraculous and tucking it into her yo-yo for safekeeping. “Otherwise, you’d be joining me.”
“I’d follow you anywhere, bugaboo,” Chat Noir sighs. Ladybug just smiles and flicks the side of his head.
“Focus, Chat. Where did Plagg say to go?”
With a destination now in mind, Ladybug bounds through Paris after Chat Noir, towards an arrondissement that looks to be full of small, old shops. When they land in front of a familiar building, Ladybug can't help but gasp at the words “Fu’s Massage Parlour” written in fading letters above the door.
 “Milady?” Chat Noir says.
“I’ve been here before!” Ladybug says. “My kwami brought me here when – wait…no way…”
“Ladybug?” Chat Noir says. But Ladybug’s already pushing the door open, so he just shrugs and follows her. She’ll explain in due time. She always does. There’s another door inside, a little further down, and Ladybug knocks on that one and waits a moment before pushing it open.
“Hello, Ladybug and Chat Noir,” says an old man with a ring of grey hair and a grey moustache and goatee, along with a bright red Hawaiian shirt and brown pants, who’s sitting cross-legged on the floor inside the room. Judging by the acupuncture poster above a large phonograph, along with the letters that are on the small tapestries on the wall and the elegant screen in the corner – which Chat Noir can just understand if he stops and focuses – this man is most likely Chinese. He’s familiar – so familiar – why can’t Chat Noir figure out where he’s seen this man before?
“You’re the healer that cured Tikki when she was sick!” Ladybug gasps. “Back when Rose was akumatised!”
“Wait, so that’s why you were late to the battle?” Chat Noir says. Ladybug nods.
“I’m guessing you’re not really a vet, then?” she says to the man.
“Wait.” Chat Noir grins at Ladybug teasingly. “You brought a tiny flying ladybug thing to someone she said could heal her and you didn’t stop and think –”
“If you finish that sentence, I’ll throw you out that window,” Ladybug threatens, but the corner of her mouth twitches faintly. Chat Noir wisely shuts up and raises his hands in surrender.
“And your first day of school wasn’t a chance meeting either,” the old man says, watching their banter with an amused sparkle in his eyes. “For either of you.”
Ladybug and Chat Noir gasp at the same time.
“You’re the man I helped when you fell over!” Chat Noir exclaims.
“And the man I helped across the road!” Ladybug adds. “Those were tests?”
The man smiles and nods. “Ladybug, you’re always ready to help others, even if you are inconvenienced in return. And Chat Noir, you’re always willing to put others before yourself. Though I do wish I could have further tested you to be absolutely certain, I knew that day that you would make a fantastic team.”
“Okay, but who are you?” Ladybug says.
“What Ladybug said,” Chat Noir says. In response, the man stands up and leads the two of them over to the massive phonograph on a chest of drawers at the back of the room, where he opens the tiny plate engraved with Chinese letters by pressing the eyes of the two dragons on either side of it and then punching a code in with the buttons that are revealed. Before their eyes, the top of the phonograph rotates and springs open to reveal a large octagonal box made of dark wood, with scarlet patterns on the top exactly like the ones on the box that had come with Chat Noir’s ring.
“Master Fu is the last known member of the Order of the Guardians!” says a small green flying thing that’s darted out of the horn of the phonograph. Ladybug and Chat Noir instinctively jump back. “They’ve cared for the Miraculouses for millennia!”
It’s a turtle. A flying turtle. The small green thing is a turtle kwami! His yellow eyes are piercing, like they can see straight through the mask on Chat Noir’s face, not that Chat Noir would be surprised if this kwami knew their identities as Master Fu does.
“I’m Wayzz, Master Fu’s kwami,” the turtle kwami continues. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Ladybug and Chat Noir.”
“Uh…you too!” Ladybug says with a nervous little laugh. Purely by instinct, Chat Noir offers her his hand, but although she smiles and rolls her eyes and bats it away, she does step closer to him. Hey, he’ll call it a win either way.
“We Guardians are responsible for protecting and distributing the Miraculouses, for the good of all humanity,” Master Fu says, opening the box to reveal a rainbow ring of five slots from orange to purple around a yin and yang symbol. The orange slot contains a necklace with a fox tail, while the yellow slot holds a golden hair comb with a bee on it; every other slot is empty. “We are chosen in childhood and trained for many years especially for this mission. When we were much, much younger, we –” He sighs. “I made a mistake. The Guardians’ Temple was destroyed, all because of me! Two Miraculouses were lost that day: the Butterfly and the Peacock. Also gone forever was the ancient spellbook.”
“You mean this thing?” Chat Noir holds out the book under his arm, and Master Fu takes it and starts to page through it. “You can read it? All it’s got are a bunch of weird symbols and pictures of superheroes.”
“They’re not weird to a Guardian,” Master Fu says, closing the Miraculous Box and returning it to the phonograph. “Back in the day, I was never given the opportunity to even have a look at it. But I’ve been taught enough to be able to partially decipher the code. These pages are the only source of information about the Miraculouses in the world. Obviously, this book is invaluable.”
“Chat Noir also found this.” Ladybug retrieves the Peacock Miraculous from her yo-yo and holds it out. Master Fu’s touch is light, almost reverent, as he accepts the brooch and cradles it in its protective tissue bed.
“Plagg said it’s damaged, but I don’t know how,” Chat Noir says. “All he said was that I shouldn’t touch it in case the kwami was damaged as well.”
“Not much can damage a Miraculous. A rogue Cataclysm, perhaps,” Master Fu sighs, gently resting the brooch on the chest of drawers. “Not easily fixed, but certainly doable. I would need the help of Tikki to reverse the damage.”
Chat Noir swallows and rests his free hand over his active ring. Master Fu notices the gesture, of course.
“So long as you’re careful, there shouldn’t be a problem,” he says. “I’m confident that I chose well for the holders of the Ladybug and Black Cat.”
“Why us?” Ladybug says. “Why not a pair of adults? We’re just teenagers…”
“Which means that you aren’t as set in your ways as adults are,” Master Fu says. “I wanted a pair who were flexible and still learning about the world. A pair who still possessed the idealism needed to step up and become heroes. Adults are capable, yes, but many are cynical and focused on their own lives.” He sighs. “The trade-off, of course, is that Hawkmoth possesses greater raw power. We don’t know why, but adults aren’t held to the same limitations when wielding a Miraculous as a child or teenager. But with the bond that you two possess, I know you can defeat Hawkmoth.”
“Of course we can!” Chat Noir nudges Ladybug. “Bugaboo and I are just too ameowzing to let a grumpy old butterfly man beat us.”
“Chat!” Ladybug complains, though she does let a giggle slip. But Master Fu pops the atmosphere with his next words.
“I've always believed that whoever possessed this spellbook must also have the Peacock…and the Butterfly.”
“So, you were right.” Ladybug gives Chat Noir a sad little pout that makes his heart jitter in his chest, and what he wouldn’t do to wipe that look off her face so that she could smile forever. “Adrien’s dad could be Hawkmoth!”
“Adrien’s father?” Master Fu says.
“Adrien Agreste.” Chat Noir’s mouth curves in a bitter line. “He’s the one who gave me the spellbook and Peacock Miraculous. Said he found them in his father’s hidden safe.”
Master Fu gives him a piercing look that, just like Wayzz’s gaze, bypasses the mask entirely. “I see. We could very well be close to Hawkmoth’s identity…”
“We should investigate,” Ladybug says. “You know, to make sure we’re not accusing someone without proof. We wouldn’t want to put Adrien through that if it turns out his father’s innocent.”
She’s so considerate! So caring! Is it any wonder that Chat Noir loves her? “And of course, I’ll be right there with you, bugaboo,” he says, and she smiles at him in response with that breathtaking smile of hers.
“You must be very careful,” Master Fu warns. “Both of you. If you succeed, you may well find yourselves face to face with Hawkmoth.”
“We promise we’ll be super careful,” Ladybug says. She gasps and starts scrambling for the door. “Oh, no! I’m gonna be late to school! And I was early today!”
“Allow me to escort you back, milady,” Chat Noir says when she trips over and faceplants. With a groan, she accepts his helping hand up, and they say their goodbyes to Master Fu and Wayzz before heading back to school.
But when they get there, they discover that no one’s out looking for them after all. They may be late but since there’s a tall man with lilac skin in the courtyard, surrounded by screaming students, no one really seems to have a single thought to spare for two tardy students.

(also, this being split also means that instead of our usual l/m/l pov, this is half luna, half matteo. same with the other one, sorry)
shout out to my baked goods for helping me and being proud aunts of this au even when it’s a mess most of the timeeeeee, ily
in case you’ve missed any part:  1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5
AU: Matteo Balsano is a famous singer who has been crushing on this one girl he saw every day behind a window many years ago, back when he first started recording his debut album and inspired his first big hit, “Princesa”. Luna Valente, professional Olympic skater turned actress is at a local (and very popular) talk show to promote her breakout movie. This is where it all starts.
ARE SOLTTEO GOING PUBLIC?
According to our sources, the answer is a big, bold, YES.
Your – and ours too! – favorite couple has reunited with their management to discuss ‘how to break it to the public’ according to our sources. Benson and Balsano, who have been linked by fans and media for a little over three months now, are finally ready to take a big step on their relationship and shout their love to the world!
“[Sol] thinks it’s time for them to tell everyone. She’s in love, and is tired of hiding it from her family, friends and especially of her fans.” But what about Matteo? “[He] has his doubts and is adamant of how the public will react to their relationship. He doesn’t want anyone attacking him or her for it.”
Earlier in the week, news of Benson’s retirement from professional skating broke and the fans were very vocal on their displeasure of Balsano’s – rumored- involvement, as well as the lack of public response in support for his girl. So, was this topic touched at all?
“Absolutely. [Matteo] cares about how his fans see him, and while he knows none of them would believe he was at fault, he still wants to clear the air and let them know the truth.” And what’s the truth exactly? “He never asked for [Sol] to quit. But he likes her and wanted to spend more time with her before their obligations forced them to be apart, so he suggested a break. Ultimately, it was Sol who chose she was done with the sport.” Talk about true love!
Either way, we’re all excited to see what’s next on this couple’s agenda, and can’t wait for them to blind us with their cuteness!

“Well? Is everyone suddenly deaf? Do I have to ask again?” Matteo’s lawyer – and best friend, if his snaps were any indication- tried to lighten the mood with a joke, grinning towards them. His eyes flickering to Nina’s the most.
“Not much.” Matteo answered, his gaze still on her. Luna huffed silently at him, making him grimace. Luna had the urge to stick her tongue out to him, but she had to remind herself she was an adult. Or trying to be one, anyway.
“So, no deal has been made? Has any party thrown any ideas?” Gastón questioned them.
Delfi nodded. “Actually, Miss Benson gave a very nice one before you came in.” Luna blinked a couple times. To be honest, her brain hadn’t even registered half the words that had came out of her mouth, her anger usually blinded – and deafened, too, apparently- her memory.
“I did?”
Thankfully, Delfi smiled before explaining, “yes, you did. A televised interview is brilliant; you don’t have any exclusivity with printed media, and Matteo’s can’t be compromised since it’ll be live on TV.” The older girl turned to her – soon to be ex-  manager, “I’d advice to choose Jazmín. Not only because of the ratings and demographics, but also because she’s close to us and would agree to not touch certain topics, as well as to open a spot on her show faster than any other person. The fact that Sol is somewhat familiarized with her doesn’t hurt, too.”
Tamara vaguely nodded at Delfi, but was quick to turn to her, silently asking her if that was what she wanted. Luna knew she’d suggested and all, but that had been in a moment of anger. Angry at Mariano for attacking Matteo, and angry at Matteo for being quick to judge, as well as resented he had ignored her for two weeks, to now try and act like nothing had happened. Truthfully, she didn’t think it was a good idea.
“I’m not sure, Delfi. You’ve said so yourself, I’m not properly ‘trained’ and if I end up saying something that could make everything worse I-”
Gastón frowned, interrupting her babbling. “But I thought this was your idea? Why would you suggest it if you’re not sure you can pull it off?” His words hadn’t any malice in them, yet, she still felt a twinge of offense, and Luna didn’t know how to answer him.
Her best friend did, though. “Sometimes our mouths are quicker than our brains.” Nina’s eyes went between Matteo and her, making Gastón grin, and nod in understand. She was full offended now, reaching out to her friend to pinch her arm in protest. Nina whelped silently, mouthing ‘sorry’ to her; her eyes, though, showed her amusement.
Delfi called for their attention, “we can train you, if you want.” She offered.
“I don’t think-” Mariano wanted to protest. Luna wanted none of it.
“Don’t you dare. Delfi’s been nothing but professional here, actually trying to help, don’t you dare minimize her work or insinuate she’s not capable of doing it.” Mariano pursed his lips, turning to Tamara in help. Tamara’s glare and shake of her head was all he got. When she was sure he’d given up, Luna acknowledged Delfi. “I’m not sure this is a good idea, sorry. If I’m being honest, Jazmín scares me; going to her show, alone, is terrifying.”
Delfi pondered her words for a moment, not really looking at her, or at anyone or anything in specific. She just stayed quiet, looking at nothing and biting her lip.
No one said anything for a couple of minutes, and Luna wasn’t sure if they were waiting for Delfi, or if they, themselves, were thinking her words over. Either way the silence was awkward for her, and silently prayed for someone else to break it.
Tamara did.
“If you excuse me, I think I’ll go ask where our drinks are at.” She put her gaze on her. “Care to go with me, Sol?” She couldn’t nod fast enough. Luna wasn’t too naïve, she knew Tamara wanted to speak to her, alone, but the silence was driving her mad and would take whatever excuse.
She felt Matteo’s eyes follow her out of the room.
Luna let out a big sigh as soon as the door closed. Tamara was a few steps ahead, waiting for her. “So, what do you want to tell me?”
“I wanted to apologize. It seems that I underestimated your relationship with Balsano, and going in there, asking you to ignore him was a bad idea, I’m sorry.” Tamara’s words were full of sincerity. However, they only confused her.
“What do you mean?”
The woman showed surprise. “You didn’t notice?”
“Would I be asking you if I had?”
Tamara smiled. “I suppose not, no. What I’m saying is, he seems to like you, and you ignoring him, God forbid, set him off. He kept looking at you, waiting for you to notice him, and when you didn’t, it got to the point of annoying him, making him lash out at Mariano and I.”
“But Mariano was provoking him, Matteo – well, I would be annoyed too if someone did the same to me.” Luna pointed out, crossing her arms as she walked.
“Perhaps.” Tamara agreed, her smile intact, “I do want you to know, though, that this is Matteo Balsano we’re talking about. Do you think he’s not used to being provoked in interviews? By the fans or the paps? He knows better than to give in their games.” Luna fell a few steps behind. Tamara stopped walking altogether, waiting for her to speak again.
“Be honest, Tamara, what are you trying to get at?”
“I think you know what I’m trying to say, munchkin. I could be wrong in what way exactly, but he cares about you.” Tamara sighed. “Either way, I was wrong when I advised you to ignore him. It’s obvious he took it personal and now both him and Delfi are upset.”
“I am upset with him, anyway. I wouldn’t have been completely cordial when I saw him, even if you hadn’t told me anything.”
“I don’t know the boy, but I think he’d rather have you mad at him than evasive.” Luna was over with having everyone else getting amusement out of her and Matteo, so she turned the conversation back to professional.
“Do you think I should do that interview?”
Her manager composed herself, her expression turning serious. “Honestly? Yes. Not for Balsano’s reputation, but to give your fans a peace of mind. We warned you a written statement could come off as careless, no matter how much you made it sound as grateful and loving as you feel. Most of them feel betrayed, confused, and back-stabbed. I know you feel like you can’t handle it, but you’re the bravest person I know, Luna, and you could beat Jazmín at her own gossip game if you wanted to. And, even if you don’t, Delfi is right; they have connections with her, they can blacklist any topic or question you don’t feel comfortable talking about. I would accept her offer of more training, too.”
Luna tried to sigh her nervousness away. She failed. “Can I think about it some more? I don’t want to rush it.”
Tamara smiled comfortingly, nodding once. “Of course, I wouldn’t expect anything else from you. It means I successfully taught you something.”
She frowned, feeling bad Delfi’s dab had affected her. “You did an amazing job as my manager, Tamara. I’m sorry I didn’t defend you back there, because honestly, you did more than good. You gave me choices, gave me a voice when it mattered, just like now. I’m thankful I had you with me.”
The woman sighed happily, giving her a hug. “Sweetest girl, that you are. I’m glad I could help you the years I did, you’re truly a brilliant, humble, talented young lady and to work with you has been my honor, munchkin.” She sighed again as she dropped her arms around her and started walking again. Her next words make her cackle. “Now, let’s go look for our drinks. I have a feeling I might need a bit of rum with mine.”
Matteo could only watch as the door closed, ignoring the urge of following right behind and beg Luna for a chance to talk. He’d obviously been blind to ignore she would get mad at him for blowing her off for weeks. Either he was losing his touch with women, or it went powerless when it came to her. Whatever it was, he was now in trouble with her and completely oblivious as to how to fix it.
“Dumb and dumber, come here.” Delfi called for Gastón and him, using her favorite nicknames for both. At this point it’d lost any malice behind them (there hadn’t been any to begin with, really), and he was used to it, so he followed suit when she signaled for them to huddle up in a circle. Gastón looked unsure of doing so, glancing quickly in Nina’s direction. He so was going to give him crap for it once they were done here.
“What’s the plan?” He wondered, eager to hear what Delfi had decided to do. 9 out 10 times, it turned out to be a good idea. The 10th time was usually him changing the plan.
“We have to convince her to agree to the interview. It’s the best counterattack, and if it’s with Jazmín we can make it foolproof, keeping it safe and predictable. We can even think and write her answers beforehand,” she looked at him, “it’s honestly the best way for her, Matteo.”
Matteo pursed his lips. “I trust you, Delfi, but I don’t want to force her to do something she’s not comfortable with. She’s mad enough at me as it is, pressuring her could make it worse.”
“We also can’t be one hundred percent sure Jazmín will agree to stick to a script. Remember last time? She went for the kill with Luna. She knew it would get her and Matteo in trouble, yet she still chose to do it.” Gastón reminded her, siding with him. It was in moments like this when Matteo was grateful he was his best friend.
Delfi cringed. “Well…”
Matteo knew that look. Delfi knew more than she was letting them see. “What?” he urged her to explain. Did she know about it beforehand? Why hadn’t she stopped it if she did?
“I couldn’t stop Ámbar, really! She went behind my back and coerced Jazmín to hint it and warned me literally seconds before she went live. You know I would’ve stopped it if I knew with time.”
“Blondie started this mess?” Gastón was incredulous. Matteo, however, was seeing red. It finally clicked on him that she’d purposefully had set Luna up back then. He’d recognized her smirk in the interview, and he’d completely forgotten to ask her about it further once it was over. He’d tried to play it off as her being her smug self when it was about being in public – he’d seen it enough when they dated not to- but now it made sense. And he could bet it was all about him eating those stupid cupcakes.
Delfi looked at him, worry in her eyes. “Matteo, don’t. Focus on what’s important right now, not in the past. Ámbar cut off Jazmín when it got out of hand, remember? She helped your girl once it was obvious she couldn’t save herself. Calm down.”
“She shouldn’t have started it in the first place! I thought she was Luna’s friend, and yet, you’re telling me she threw her to tigers? Exposed her to the tabloids knowing damn well she wasn’t ready for it? And for what? Because I ate her stupid dollar cupcakes?” he hissed, pulling his hair in frustration.
Delfi’s glare was pure ice, now. “I’m not going to fight with you about this, as it is between Ámbar and you. You want to complain about it? Do it with her, bitch your mouth off, if you want to. However, right now, we’re discussing how to protect your precious star from more attacks since you have decided you want to keep her in your life; because – surprise! - if she stays, then so will the news about her. So, focus, you idiot.”
Matteo was still seething, grinding his teeth together. Gastón palmed his back softly. “Dude, she’s right. I’ll help you hide Ámbar’s body later – and Jazmín’s, too, if you want- but now it’s not the time to get mad. Think of Luna, she needs our help more than she needs you to defend her honor with Ámbar.”
Finally, he relented. “Fine. I’ll deal with Ámbar later. How do I convince Luna to accept, though? She won’t even look at me right now.”
“That’s easy.” Delfi said, discreetly pointing to where Nina was sitting. “We talk to her, and she talks to your love. I’ll get Pedro to talk to Simón, so he does too. They’re her best friends and will convince her to jump off a cliff is that’s what they want.” Matteo frowned, Delfi rolled her eyes. “They’d never do that, oh my God.”
“Whatever. How do we convince Nina to convince Luna, then?” He looked at his best friend, silently asking him if he knew. Gastón merely shrugged.
“Do I have to do everything for you two idiots?” Delfina huffed, before raising her voice. “Nina, can you come, please?” she called, making the girl look up from where she was sitting, looking at her phone. She was with them in less than a minute.
“Hi.” She said shyly, blushing when Gastón threw a grin in her direction. Delfi turned to him and pretended to gag. Matteo was half mad still but teased his friend with a wink.
“I’m going to go straight to the point – you need to convince Luna to do that interview.”
Nina blinked once. Twice. “Okay.”
Matteo was skeptical. She just couldn’t have agreed that easily, he must’ve heard her wrong. “Really?”
“I’m not stupid, I know that’s the safest bet for my friend.” Nina frowned at him, “I can’t say it’ll be easy, though, she seems to be very scared after her last one with Jazmín. Maybe-” her frown deepened, stopping her thoughts from escaping her mouth.
“Maybe?” The three of them prompted.
“Maybe if she weren’t alone… If she had someone else to stop her from rambling, like Ámbar-”
Matteo objected. “Absolutely not. Ámbar can’t go with her, just no.” He shook his head multiple times, rejecting the idea.
“I wasn’t saying it has to be Ámbar. Simón, Tamara, or Delfi-” Nina threw him a quick look. “- even you could. Luna just needs someone to calm her rambles and assure her they won’t let her talk more than necessary. That’s all.”
Delfi’s eyes shone. “That’s brilliant! If Matteo goes too, and both make it clear they’re just friends and he had no input in her decision, everyone will have to believe they’re just friends, and we won’t have to give exclusives with ‘our side’ of the story, either. You’re a genius, Simonetti.”
“Um, aren’t you guys forgetting something?” Gastón interjected, “Luna couldn’t be madder with Matteo if she tried. How is she gonna agree not only to the interview, but to an interview with him?”
Matteo’s mood went down once again at the reminder. What he didn’t expect, though, was for Nina to punch him on his arm. “Ouch! What was that for?”
Nina huffed. “For making my best friend mad, of course. Do you know how hard that is to achieve? She’s all sunshine and rainbows most of the time!”
“You can punch him more later, Nina,” Delfi told her. Matteo glared at his manager, who simply waved him off, “but please tell us, how can this idiot fix it?”
Nina thought about it for a moment. “Well, apologizing, for starters.” Done. He’d beg if he needed to. “And being completely honest. No bullcrap like ‘I forgot to call you back’ or ‘my battery died’, Luna hates when people lie to her, and will hate to hear dumb excuses more. Even if it’s a hurtful truth, like not wanting to talk to her, she’ll prefer that to a lie.” Then she turned to him, her brown eyes sharp. “Why did you ignore her these weeks? Is it because you didn’t want to answer her question?”
“I panicked.” He admitted, ashamed of his cowardliness. “I wasn’t – still am not- ready to admit my reasons.”
“Why?” she wondered, curiosity getting the best of her.
“Because she will see him as the creep he is.” Gastón snorted. Matteo flipped him off.
Nina’s eyes shone with mischief. “So, it is true. You’ve known her longer than that night at JaJazmin.”
“Something like that.” He wasn’t going to spill everything to Nina, not before he told her best friend first; the only person he owed an explanation to was Luna, no one else.
The girl just stared at him for a couple of seconds, before nodding and changing the subject.
“Luna is more likely to forgive with a full stomach. After this meeting she has one with Yam, and after that we’re going out for lunch. I guess, if we casually bumped into each other at Yelao’s…”
Matteo felt hope expanding through his body. He might not owe an explanation to Nina, but he now owed her a big, great favor.
“We’ll be there.” Gastón confirmed for both, knowing well Matteo had no objections to that plan.
“I feel like I have to warn you, though,” Nina spoke to him, “since you were so against Ámbar accompanying Luna to the interview. She’s going to be there, as well as Simón.” Matteo pursed his lips, but he could acknowledge this was probably his only chance. Only the skies knew when Luna would talk to him again if he didn’t apologize soon.
“I’ll manage. I promise.” He had to. Just then, the door opened once again, revealing Luna, Tamara, and one of the receptionists, each carrying a small platter with drinks.
Delfi waited until all drinks where on the table, and the receptionist was gone, to star talking again.
“So, have you given any thoughts on the interview, yet?” She must’ve taken Luna by surprise, because she almost choked on her hot cocoa. He raised his arm on instinct to palm her back, but 1) she was very far away, and 2) he was sure she’d probably rather choke and die than having him help her; so, he put his arm down as fast as he could.
Tamara answered for her. “Could you give her a couple of days? She wishes to think it over before making any decision.” His manager frowned for a bit, ultimately nodding and glancing quickly to him. He understood the look; Matteo had those days to make it right between the two and convince her.
“Of course, of course. But please try not to take too much time, it’s only going to get harder for you both the longer you wait.” Luna gave Delfi a thumb up, not quite done with her coughing. Matteo had to bite his tongue to stop himself from asking if she was okay. Thankfully, Gastón approached her with a glass of water.
“Thank you.” She coughed a couple more times, before drinking the whole glass, sending Gastón a small smile. “Are we done with this yes? I kind of have an appointment with Yam, she’s making my dress for the wedding.”
Now it was Matteo’s turn to choke on his lungo. “Wedding?” Delfi palmed his back a couple of times.
“Yam’s getting married and we’re her bridesmaids. She’s insisting on making our dresses herself, since Mora is making hers; we have our first fitting today.” Nina explained to him. He could bet she was having fun at his reaction, if her smile was any indication.
“Nina.” Luna called for her friend, shaking her head slightly. Then she turned to him, and Matteo was relieved she didn’t look mad. Just a bit serious. “So, are we done? Or do you have something else to discuss with us?” He wanted so bad to tell her no. That they weren’t anywhere near done, that they hadn’t even started yet. But he wouldn’t be talking about the meeting.
“Since you have stuff to think over, I’d say we’re done. For now, that is.” Delfi answered her, “if you choose to it, then I’ll schedule another meeting and we’ll go into more detail about what kind of deal we can make with each other.”
“We’ll get in touch in a couple of days.” Tamara agreed, moving to gather her things from a chair, urging the lawyer to finish his drink, before saying her farewells. When it was his turn for her goodbye, she was serious as she took his hand, and whispered. “Can I trust her with you? Will you take care of her, the way she deserves?”
He didn’t even think about it before answering. “Yes.”
The older woman stared for a moment, her eyes searching for something. Whatever she found, or didn’t find, was enough for her. “Good.”
The lawyer only gave him a brief nod to everyone before following Tamara out. Once they left, Luna and Nina started their goodbye’s too. Nina offered him a quiet ‘see you later’, which he responded with a grateful smirk. Luna hesitated for a second as she stood in front of him, biting her lip.
“I’m very sorry, Luna.” Her green eyes set on his, “if you have time I can explain, I-”
His girl sighed. “I have no time for this, Matteo.” He recoiled at her words, not expecting her to be so… sharp. She sighed again when she saw his reaction. “I literally have no time right now. We’re late to Yam’s already, but…”
“But?” He sounded hopeful, and he wasn’t ashamed to admit it.
“But if you have the guts to call me again, maybe we can talk about it some other time.”
He felt his grin appear on his face and couldn’t resist hugging her. “I will! I’m so, so very sorry, Luna I swear-”
“Yeah, yeah, but don’t you think you’re in the clear! I’m still angry at you, and I’m expecting the truth and nothing but the truth, okay?” she was being serious, he could tell. She broke the hug quickly, arching her brows to get the point across. He saluted her.
“Yes, ma’am. I promise.” His face was starting to hurt from grinning so much, so wide. Luna didn’t return the smile, yet, he could see her eyes softening a little when she looked at him.
He watched her – and Nina, but mostly her- leave, the weight on his heart dropping almost completely now that she had agreed to give him a chance to explain.
“I can’t believe she actually agreed to hear you out so quickly. I’m impressed.” Gastón broke the silence a couple of seconds after they left, whistling lowly and palming his shoulders.
“Same. I would’ve let you on the dog house for at least another week. Either she’s too good, or…” Delfi quietened down, thinking over her words.
“Or?”
“Nothing, actually. She’s too good, period. We need to toughen her up.” She sounded worried at this, pursing her lips. “Are you guys still ‘casually’ meeting them up for lunch?” Gastón and him looked at each other, then nodded. “Be careful. The place you’re going is lowkey enough for me to not advice you to take a guard but stay alert of your surroundings. It’s not only you, but her, and Simón and Ámbar. It can get wild in a minute.”
She was right, of course, she was always right. “We’ll be careful. Thank you for worrying, Del.” Then his brain caught up on the other subject. “Wait, since when does Ámbar and Simón are acquainted with each other?”
Delfi grimaced. “You don’t even want to know, believe me. Those two are a mess.”
Gastón gasped, laughing out loud. “You don’t mean… those two…?” he suggested, wiggling his brows.
“What? No!” She made a disgusted face. “The studio from Ámbar’s new musical wanted the RB to write a song for her to sing, but Simón’s having a hard time meeting Á’s taste. He’s apparently not ‘emo’ enough to write about her character.”
“’Emo’? Why does she need him to be ‘emo’?” His friend asked the same question that was on his mind.
“The song’s to be sung at her character’s lowest point, I think. It needs to be emo AF.”
“And Simón can’t be emo?”
Delfi raised her left brow. “Have you ever heard an emo song from the RB?”
“No.”
“Exactly.” She said in an obvious tone. “Okay, losers, I gotta go. Pedro and I are having lunch, and I’ll run our plan by to him, be careful and try not to make too much drama.” She looked pointedly at him at the last part.
“It’s not my fault drama finds its way into my life, okay?”
“Be serious! If I hear from someone else, you two went at each other’s throats in public…”
“Yeah, yeah, you’ll tell everyone I have a micropenis.”
Gastón choked on air, barely holding in his laughter. Somehow, even after hearing that threat at least three times a month, he still found it funny.
“And they will believe me.” Delfi threw him one last warning look, before kissing his cheek, only giving Gastón a wave as goodbye as she left them alone.

First Meeting
Tumblr media
I’m so in love with this picture! Why is he so beautiful?! Urgh!!! I’m sorry for the very bad ending but I hope you still like it! Picture is not mine!!
“Hi! How are you (Y/N)?” Ellen Degeneres inquired after she had welcomed me on stage with a tight hug and asked me to take a seat on the very comfortable sofa behind me.
“I’m fine, Ellen, how are you?” I questioned back, adjusting my position on the sofa. I was quite nervous and excited. This was my very first interview as a newcomer actress and my very first where I was not accompanied by another co-worker of mine. I had been on a few movies before but only as a supporting role, so the characters that I’ve portrayed were kind of irrelevant. But this time I played one of the main characters of a new movie which was going to be published in a week.
“I’m good! Thanks for asking! It’s a pleasure to have you here!” she said, offering me a warm smile.
"It’s an honor to be here, Ellen. Thanks for inviting me!”
“No problem.“ The cheers and clapping back from the audience started to die down.  “So, you’re making a very big step into your acting career with your new movie that is coming out next Friday ladies and gentlemen. Tell me, how are you feeling about it?” hte blonde woman asked.
I leaned back and rested my slight sweaty hands on my lap before I began to talk.
“I am very excited to be honest. This movie is definitely one of the best that I’ve worked on and I could prove myself in it, showing people that I’m worth playing a main figure. My character was a big challenge for me and I’m glad that I was given a chance to demonstrate my acting skills. The director I’ve been working with has supported and encouraged me so many times and I owe him a lot.”
“Can you tell us anything about your character?”
“Uhmm…  Her name is Ellie and she is absolutely the opposite of me. She’s tough, strong, willing and very confident. She has an aura that intimidates people and makes them feel uneasy when she’s around. I adore her. She is very loyal to herself and lets nobody drag her down. Playing her personality was very funny and adventurous, and I can tell that I have learned a lot from her and about her. I hope you guys are going to love her as much as I do.”
Ellen continued asking me questions about the movie, and after a while she suddenly changed to another topic. A very sensitive topic if I may say so.
“I’ve heard you have a major crush on Harry Styles? Is that true?”
The air around me became slightly warm, and I felt a deep blush appearing on my cheeks. Nevertheless I tried to appear calm even though my interior was screaming fully embarassed. The audience started to cheer as they noticed my short speechless state. I faced Ellen with a desperate look and a nervous smile.
“Why is everybody asking me that question?” I buried my face in my hands. In another interview I had a few days ago, I unintentionally dropped the fact that I fancied Harry Styles because I loved his music. Since then, I was constantly questioned about it.
“So you like him?” Ellen stated.
“I think- I mean…” I stuttered, but then inhaled deeply and continued talking. “How can you not like Harry Styles? He’s amazing.”
“What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear his name?”
I took my time to think about it. Should I tell them what I associated with him and make a complete fool of myself in a national TV show? Harry would surely see this interview- there is no way he couldn’t.
“Well… To be honest with you, I think he’s an angel.” The last few words came as a whisper out of my lips. I heard a few whistles from the audience and some of them even called ‘yes’ or ‘yeah’.
“I mean, he has an amazing personality and a huge heart. The message he tries to spread all around the world is inspiring, and I have never seen a human being such as Harry in my entire life. He is a great role model for every single one of us. It’s just sad that some people are using his kindness and good intentions for their own advantages. I think he should be respected and left alone, especially by the media.”
“Very nice words, (Y/N). I’m sure he’d appreciate what you said. Have you met him yet?”
“No, unfortunately I had not the privilege to talk to him yet, but I hope I’ll get the chance soon. It would be dream come true.”
(From here 3rd person POV)
If she had known how soon she would be meeting him. What (Y/N) had no idea of was that her celebrity crush was backstage and watching every single moment with a smile on his lips. He recognized her from his favorite movies she was involved with and even though she had no bigger role in them, he grew some liking towards her. The beautiful actress instantly gained his interest the first time he laid his eyes on the TV screen, seeing her pretty face and he was as excited as to meet her as she was.
When Ellen asked him to surprise her, he did not hesitate for a second, saying yes to participating in her plan immediately. The whole audience was involved and asked to not make any sounds when he appeared on stage because nobody wanted the surprise to be spoiled. He wanted to memorize her expression on her face when she would lay her eyes on him.
So while she was babbling further nice things about him, Harry slowly shoved the curtains aside, and as soon as the audience discovered his presence, he laid his forefinger on his lips to shush them. With slowly, quiet steps he moved forward to the pretty, young lady.
(back to 1st person POV)
I was happily talking about Harry, not caring about anything anymore. Ellen was patiently listening to me as suddenly my eyes were covered by foreign hands and my vision went dark.
“Huh, who’s that?” I asked surprised.
“Guess who?” I heard Ellen’s  laughing voice a few meters away from me.
“You have only three chances.” The person covering my eyes whispered into my ear, their warm breath causing thousand tingles running down my body. Who the hell should I know who he or she was?
“Uhmm… I have no idea?” I replied, totally inferior to the situation. “Can you give me a hint?”
Desperately, I put my hands onto the person’s to uncover my eyes, but they would have none of it. They would have their hands firmly on my eyes, without hurting me of course. Ellen and the audience would laugh at my tries to remove those hands and I slightly got more annoyed. As I tried for another move, I noticed that the person wore a lot of rings when my fingers brushed softly against theirs and my heart accelerated instantly.
“No…” I whispered at my recognition. Only one person would wear an amount of rings on their hands, but that one could never be the one I had in mind. No way!
“I’m hearing?” Ellen said.
“H-Harry Styles? Is it Harry Styles?” The audience cheered, clapping loudly as the hands let go of my eyes, resting gently on my shoulders. I turned my head back after my vision was clear and when I saw him smiling friendly at me, my body froze for a few seconds.
“’ello, love!” he greeted, his dimples fully on display while he smiled widely.
“No way!” I called over and over.” Then I looked at Ellen who grinned at me knowingly. “Did you set this up, Ellen?”
“Of course, I did!” she replied.
“I really have no words. Wow,” I said, but smiled. I stood up to give a hug to Harry and as we both laid our arms around each other, I felt safe and secure. The scent of his cologne hit my nostrils and I noticed that he smelled so good.
“Hi nice meet you!” I replied once we pulled away. Then he took a place right next me.
“The pleasure is all mine!” he said, exchanging a few phrases with Ellen before everybody turned their attention towards me again, probably looking for my reaction. What can I say? I was dumbfounded beyond imagination. I couldn’t believe I was sitting right next to my celeb crush who had his fingers placed on mine.
“Harry what do you think of (Y/N)?” Ellen asked him with curiosity.
“I think she’s very talented and an amazing actress. I can’t wait to see her recent work. Congratulations on your new movie by the way. I’m very excited for it.”
“Thank you.“ I answered while blushing. “I’ve heard you first solo tour was a huge success? I wish I could have been there!”
“I think I can arrange something extra for you.” He winked at me, making the warmth in my cheeks increase more. I surely was red like a tomato by now.
We chatted a bit more with Ellen and when it was time for me to go, I thanked her for the nice surprise she had made for me, then heading backstage. I was talking to my manager Helen when Harry approached us.
“(Y/N)?”
“Yes?”
“Uhmm… I was wondering if you had time to have dinner with me? I know a fancy restaurant you would surely like.” He sheepishly massaged his neck as he looked at me. “We could get to know each other and maybe you can tell me more about yourself?”
“Sounds good to me, Mr. Styles.”
“Please, just Harry. Of course, your friend is always welcomed to accompany us.”
“Thanks for your offer Mr. Styles,” Helen said, “but I’d rather not disturb you. You may have lots to talk about and I don’t want to be the third wheel or something. (Y/N) can go, she has no more interviews for today.”
I mouthed her a ‘thank you’, completely appreciating what she had done.
“Alright, Harry, lead the way.”
We walked out of the studio to spend a night that no one of us would ever forget. Thanks to Ellen, I finally had met my celebrity crush, and I owed her a lot for that.

Its 12:09 am dark
Welcome to “8 Questions with…..”
One of the coolest things about reviewing films is discovering new faces that you have never seen before. Be it behind the camera like Paul Raschid,Aislinn Clarke or Liam Gavin or in front of it like Brittany Ashworth,Mike Ferguson or our next guest, the charming and delightful Kelly Goudie. I recently reviewed “The Baylock Residence” and noted that while the film wasn’t that strong, the performances of Kelly and her co-star Sarah Wynne Kordas were outstanding. I knew I wanted to interview Kelly but I also knew I hadn’t written the best review so I was a bit nervious when I made contact with Kelly.  I was very upfront with who I was and told her about the review before I asked her if we could chat. Not only was Kelly very gracious and understanding, she also said yes to being interviewed as well. I’m so happy because I really think she is a strong actress and has what it takes to move to the next level. She is a bright, energetic, fearless and straight talking while also having one of the most charming voices I have heard in a long time. As you can tell,I’m pretty happy to introduce Kelly to you all here…so I’m going to quit babbling and start asking some questions!!!
Tumblr media
Please introduce yourself and tell about your current project.
Hi, my name is Kelly Goudie and I played Patrica Woodhouse in The Baylock Residence. The Baylock Residence is a low budget and by low budget I mean no budget horror film. It’s set at the end of 1940s and has a paranormal mystery vibe.
Tumblr media
When you did you know you wanted to be an actress? How did you start your journey?
For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to act. I was a bit of a lone wolf as a child, so I spend a lot of time making up stories and pretending to be different people. Like most people, my first ever performance was a school play (Noah’s Arc and my role was ‘Zebra 2’) Originally I didn’t even have a speaking part as the youngest kids where always just part of the ensemble cast, I begged my teacher for a line, eventually she cracked and after that I had the performance bug! I knew I just wanted to act. I think if I’m completely honest, I was kind of a sad kid. So drama was a way to express how I was feeling when I wasn’t brave enough to do it as myself.
Tumblr media
What steps do you in becoming your character?
This really depends on the role, obviously knowing the text inside out is a good place to start knowing what relationships your character has with others. I try and box away as much of myself as possible. I spend a lot of time alone figuring what’s my motivation. I use method techniques too whilst on set so if our characters hate each other I will avoid you like the plague.
Tumblr media
What are you strengths as an actress? What areas do you feel you need more experience?
I love submerging myself in a character and really throwing myself into a role. I love taking on demanding roles which usually leave me feeling pretty drained. It’s hard because if your playing an intense role, your mind knows that you are just playing a character but your body goes through all the stress and motions. I would like to get better at keeping myself safe emotionally whilst taking on those characters.
Tumblr media
Your first two films have been in horror…..so,what scares you?
Good question! When I was younger everything scared me. I was so easily triggered, seriously! Even Cruella Deville from 101 Dalmatians was terrifying to me. Now, thankfully I’m braver! I’m a bit of a horror movie freak, it takes a lot to scare me. I love gore. My absolute favourite is French gore horror. But what really scares me is when I have sleep paralysis. I go through spells of having this and I always have home invasion dreams- they are horrific.
Tumblr media
What roles do you want to tackle next? Can you see yourself as a leading lady in a romantic-comedy?
I love comedy- that’s actually my safe space so I would love to do more of that! I would love to be the leading lady- especially as I think female roles have changed a lot in the past few years and have become more realistic and showing women as strong humans, we aren’t just sat around waiting to be saved anymore. I really want to do something gritty. Maybe a crime drama? Like Luther? I love binge watching those kind of dark shows, something that you can really sink your teeth into so if I was cast in one if those that would be amazing!
Tumblr media
What was the experience like shooting “The Baylock Experience”? What was it like seeing yourself on the cover of the DVD?
We filmed the main bulk of the film in about 2 weeks. Lots of early starts and late finishs. The house was freezing as it had been sitting empty for years and was due to be knocked down after we had filmed. There was definitely a strange feeling in the house, nobody really liked being left in any rooms alone. It was such a learning experience for us all, having no budget we had to cheat a few bits and come up with interesting ways to film things. Seeing my face on the DVD cover was really something! On low budget films distributors tend to use their own images on the cover as there are no big names to sell the film so I was really proud to see little old me on the cover!
Tumblr media
Is there a supportive indie film community in the UK? Have you ever had to work with someone who was struggling with their lines and if so,how do you help them?
I think like in any field, there are those who are supportive and those who are not. I think you have to chose who to listen to.
I have worked with people who have really struggled with lines- on those situations its all about taking the pressure off them, if your in front of the camera you are able to cut, then just have them take a few minutes to gather their thoughts and start again. Its happened on stage too when an actor has forgotten their lines and you see that look of panic flash through their eyes. But it’s ok, if you know your characters motives well enough you will get through it, they are what hold the text together.
Tumblr media
With a growing career and being engaged (congratulations!),how do you handle balancing your personal life with your professional one?
Thank you! I’ll be honest it’s a struggle! Myself and my partner both work hard in our respective fields and we understand that sometimes our work may take the lead. We both fully support each other which makes it easy. He knows how much acting means to me and he pushes me to be the best version of myself both in my work and personal life. He’s a good one.

Would you like to perform live theater in the future?
YES! Live performance in my opinion is the best. The whole experience of it. There is nothing like performing live being part of dimensional experience. Being able to invoke feelings and feed off of that energy just helps create a more emotive performance I think.
How do you handle it if a part you have auditioned for doesn’t go your way?
I move on, in this industry and actually just life in general you have to have a thick skin. It’s hard getting knocked back but you can’t just stay on the ground. Sure, I allow myself to feel sad about it if I need to, but then it’s time to put my big girl pants on and try again.
Tumblr media
Are there any roles you would refuse to do if the subject matter bothered you?
There are things I struggle to watch but I think if they are vital to the story and where portrayed in an honest manner then I would do them but sometimes I think things are included unnecessarily for shock value. As long as its authentic then I’m down.
The cheetah and I are flying over to watch your latest film but we are a day early and now you are playing tour guide, what are we doing?
I’ll be honest if you come to mine we’re sitting in our pyjamas watching films on the sofa whilst eating cheese. But since you’ve come all the way from America I guess we should leave the house! You can’t come to Nottingham without going to the Major Oak and a walk around Sherwood Forest, the home of Robin Hood! We will go to the pub on the way home and have a huge Sunday roast and then end the evening binge watching some of those gritty crime dramas that I want to be in!
I like to thank Kelly for taking the time to chat with me here. She is quite a peach and I really feel her roles are only going to get better and better. Local Inventors™ Talking ‘Babble Ball’ Entertains Pets for Hours
Local Inventor’s Talking 'Babble Ball' Entertains Pets for HoursBy Debbie L. Sklar Posted on April 25, 2012
Jim Gick created the bestselling toy after his own dog brought him a broken favorite, looking distraught.Today, the company produces more than 100 pet toys available around the country.

Whoever said silly babbling doesn’t pay off doesn’t know Jim Gick.
The 64-year-old Laguna Niguel resident has made a living on babbling. He is the inventor of the popular Babble Ball and many other toys for pets, and serves as president of Pet Qwerks, a national pet toy company.
As for the wildly popular Babble Ball, when touched, the interactive toy quips such phrases as: “Here we go again,” “Here puppy, puppy,” “Oh lucky dog,” and “Rock'n'roll big doggy,” to name a few of the messages.
He created the Babble Ball for his dog, Koko, whose own talking toy had broken.
"He had that look on his face: 'Please, fix it,' " Gick said during a recent interview at his Laguna Niguel home. "The toy sat broken in the garage for a month or so, and Koko would look at it every time he saw it.
"One day I found a ball-shaped yo-yo in a toy store," Gick said. "I cut it apart, made a little motion switch for the components of the broken toy, stuffed it inside and glued it together. Koko went wild ... he chased it all over the house until he was exhausted. It was his favorite toy by far."
How it Works
The ball is triggered to talk by either a pet’s breathing or by the vibration of the animal walking nearby. The voice the ball makes is actually Gick’s that has been manipulated by computer technology and has been recorded on a chip that sits inside the ball.
“All pets love toys that make noise," Gick said. "Most pets also love balls and the Babble Balls combine both features into a single toy. Inanimate squeak toys or plain balls don't hold a candle to the Babble Balls. From the pet’s perspective, the Babble Balls are playing with them. The more they play, the more the balls will talk back to them."
After a year of testing various Babble Ball prototypes, and investing $500,000 of his own money, Gick found a supplier overseas, and in July 2003, the first Babble Ball was born. The balls are still produced overseas, he said.
"The dogs think there is some kind of animal inside the ball, but other pets love it, too," he said. “One consumer said her ferret adopted the little kitty ball and carried it around like a baby. Another lady sent me a picture of her hedgehog playing with one."
The Babble Ball has even made it into homes of the famous like actress Jennifer Garner, wife of Ben Affleck. Click here to see video.
Gick said the Babble Ball is also healthy for pets; it’s typical that pets, especially dogs, become quite excited with the balls. The physical workouts provide all the benefits of healthy exercise.
"A healthy pet is a happy pet," he said. "The Babble Balls have opened new worlds for pets that are blind or have poor eyesight. Pets with separation anxiety or are chronically bored have perked up remarkably. Unlike toys that motivate activity by dropping out unhealthy treats, the Babble Balls are just good healthy fun."
Early Creative Beginnings
Gick is no stranger to inventions as his dad was a former designer of metal tools for leather crafts such as belts and purses. He had one of the first hobby shops in the 1950s in the Los Angles area that was bought out by Charles Tandy of the Tandy Corp, he said.
The second oldest of four children, Gick was drafted when he was 19 years old, and when he returned from the Army, he worked for his father. That business did so well, his dad sold it after 20 years, leaving Gick to find something to do on his own. He started up a new company specializing in gift products and later became a distributor of products for other companies. The company branched out, eventually into gift and stationery products with a line of postcards that was later bought out by a large company.
Gick, after selling the stationery business, decided in 1997, to venture into the world of real estate, something he didn't like. Finally, with the discovery of the Babble Ball, he started on a new path that continues today.
Present Day
Nowadays, Gick attends various pet trade shows around the country, in addition to constantly working on adding more products to his growing pet toy company. The main office and warehouse is 27,000 square feet and is located in Irvine, where it employs nine.
“We have more than 100 different pet products now,” he said. “I'm always working on new toys, my mind is always churning, hoping to make pets happy.”
