This interaction has been sitting in my head for a WHILE, kind of like that sandwich!!! I've been watching so much billy and mandy lately, and I think the comedic timing and style may have had an influence here lmao! Just wanted to post a short, 4 page minicomic. The culmination of a couple week's work. Please expand to view properly; I put a lot of detail into these :)

This scene and dialogue were pulled from the Studio Ghibli movie, Ponyo (2008). I've thought for a long time that Ponyo's "There's water coming from your eyes!" seems like a very Wally thing to say (especially if it's the first time he's seen someone cry!) and from there I just made up a scenario where the dialogue from that scene would make sense.

I've been thinking a lot about the Homewarming update (tis the season, y'know?) so Eddie ended up the Mum/Lisa stand in, making Frank the most obvious choice for a Sosuke stand in.

What DID happen to Eddie? Where did he go? I dunno, you tell me your theories! This isn't intended to imply anything/theorise about the Homewarming update or anything like that; just playing around with a fun idea :3

Aaalso while thinking about this I was hit by a Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind AU with Frank. Being a whisperer for giant bugs and having compassion for a recovering ecosystem? Being Nausicaa would be right up his alley! So mebe I'll draw something related to that soon.

Um um um this is my new pc for a little game I may be in next year, run by my partner. She is a blood cleric. In other words: I will be back in the fucking building.

I thought it would be silly to draw all the chpt4 survivors in fancy outfits like dra chpt4 and I finished all the drawings today so I’m posting them here :D

After Milo gets his wolf back, the pack treats him like he’s made of glass, especially when they run and wrestle.

They don’t mean to, but they’ve never encountered this before. Losing the ability to shift, especially for how long Milo did, is quite rare. They’re all afraid he’ll get hurt or push himself too far too soon and lose the ability again.

Even those closest to him act like one wrong move and he’ll break. Asher. Baabe. David. Angel. Sweetheart.

Everyone, that is, except Tank.

A couple months after Milo starts shifting again, Tank tackles him when they’re both shifted, like they did when they were teenagers. David rushes forward, about to break them apart and tell Tank off for treating Milo too roughly when he’s still healing.

Asher holds him back, though, placing a firm hand on his chest and telling him to wait.

They watch in hesitant but growing joy as Milo wrestles with Tank, and they begin to see his old wolf re-emerge. He bites and growls and pounces like he used to, maybe not with quite the same amount of strength, but the shape of it is there.

When Milo shifts back, his grin is undeniable. Tank gives him a playful shove, declaring that they won. He retorts that he let them win.

“You’re g-going easy onn mmme?” Tank asks in mock dismay. “Rematch, nnnext wwweek. You b-better kick mmy ass, or I-I’ll kick yours!”

Milo’s progress skyrockets after the two begin their weekly wrestle matches.

Btw fun fact but in the book it's canonically impossible to die in Oz. Hence the surprising amount of body horror.
