if you can, i highly encourage you to interact with fan artists of all formats, including fic authors, because even apart from that being really really nice for the artists, it's also good for you on a personal/selfish level !! it's a win-win situation !!

because let me tell you, there's a rush like no other when you finally get your shit together and comment on a fic that you've been rereading for years and the author responds (!) and tells you "That is an incredibly high compliment" (!!) and gives you a bit of insight into how they conceptualise the character (!!!) . like. oh my god i'm doing it i'm getting a good grade in Fandom

Haruko seemed tired as he made his way into their bedroom, hardly even able to do his nighttime routine due to the sheer exhaustion of the day. He collapsed into their bed, plush and soft, without even bothering to brush through his hair. The artist groaned, his body too aching to turn and gaze upon his boyfriend who he assumed was who just came out of their bathroom. “‘M so fuckin’ tired…”

Despite not working late that night he knew Haru was going to be out for a while. Always with Aita or Luka or both of them. Who else would he be out with anyway? Not that he minded, sometimes he liked having time to himself especially with how hectic the office had been recently. Having to help Robin herd the newcomers like sheep wasn't easy and to say his patience had run thin dealing with some of them was an understatement, at least as a benefit it thoroughly reminded him of why he never wanted children. He couldn't imagine how exhausting it would be if dealing with a few chaotic boyband members was that annoying even when he was silent for most of it.

The bodyguard stepped out of the shower drying his hair as best he could when he heard the apartment door open, then the heavy footfalls into their bedroom and finally- the squeak and poof of their bed when Haru inevitably fell onto it. He pushed the door open more to chuckle at him from their bathroom, "Oh you're tired? I feel like I've been working over time all week." he hums picking up a brush and moving to their bed, "Come on, sit up. You'll be even more irritated in the morning if you don't put your hair up."

Only when Haru shifted did he dare start untangling his dark curls and brushing through them. He'd seen the artist do it it enough right? He probably knew how to at least half ass his way to what he usually liked to do silk bonnet and all.
