It currently is Bandcamp Friday!
If you see this post on another day, check with this website: https://isitbandcampfriday.com
it's bandcamp friday!!
today and every first friday of the month is Bandcamp Friday, a day where 100% of bandcamp revenue goes directly to artists without the platform taking its usual cut! today is a great day to look up if any of your favorite artists, or the artists on your spotify wrapped playlist, is on bandcamp and buy some of their albums or merch. you earn them $0.003 per spotify stream (if they're lucky) but you have the power to put a crisp $10 bill directly into their hand via bandcamp.
in summary:
so, what are you getting this bandcamp friday? I think I'm finally going to pull the trigger on joanna newsom's whole back catalogue.
#Bandcamp#music#some of my favorite songs this year weirdly aren’t on it even tho indie#so check their websites …. Amazon or apple…#if you do other purchases do it on a laptop or desktop if you can so you don’t have to pay an AppStore fee#(taken from app purchases out of profit for people)

Hi- er, this is my first-ever writer's strike, how does one not cross a picket line in this context? I know how not to do it with things like Amazon and IRL strikes, but how does it apply to media/streaming?
Hi, this is a great question, because it allows me to write about the difference between honoring a picket line and a boycott. (This is reminding me of the labor history podcast project that's lain fallow in my drafts folder for some time now...) In its simplest formulation, the difference between a picket line and a boycott is that a picket line targets an employer at the point of production (which involves us as workers), whereas a boycott targets an employer at the point of consumption (which involves us as consumers).
So in the case of the WGA strike, this means that at any company that is being struck by the WGA - I've seen Netflix, Amazon, Apple, Disney, Warner Brothers Discovery, NBC, Paramount, and Sony mentioned, but there may be more (check the WGA website and social media for a comprehensive list) - you do not cross a picket line, whether physical or virtual. This means you do not take a meeting with them, even if its a pre-existing project, you do not take phone calls or texts or emails or Slacks from their executives, you do not pitch them on a spec script you've written, and most of all you do not answer any job application.
Because if this strike is like any strike since the dawn of time, you will see the employers put out ads for short-term contracts that will be very lucrative, generally above union scale - because what they're paying for in addition to your labor is you breaking the picket line and damaging the strike - to anyone willing to scab against their fellow workers. GIven that one of the main issues of the WGA are the proliferation of short-term "mini rooms" whereby employers are hiring teams of writers to work overtime for a very short period, to the point where they can only really do the basics (a series outline, some "broken stories," and some scripts) and then have the showrunner redo everything on their lonesome, while not paying writers long-term pay and benefits, I would imagine we're going to see a lot of scab contracts being offered for these mini rooms.
But for most of us, unless we're actively working as writers in Hollywood, most of that isn't going to be particularly relevant to our day-to-day working lives. If you're not a professional or aspiring Hollywood writer, the important thing to remember honoring the picket line doesn't mean the same thing as a boycott. WGA West hasn't called on anyone to stop going to the movies or watching tv/streaming or to cancel their streaming subscriptions or anything like that. If and when that happens, WGA will go to some lengths to publicize that ask - and you should absolutely honor it if you can - so there will be little in the way of ambiguity as to what's going on.
That being said, one of the things that has happened in the past in other strikes is that well-intentioned people get it into their heads to essentially declare wildcat (i.e, unofficial and unsanctioned) boycotts. This kind of stuff comes from a good place, someone wanting to do more to support the cause and wanting to avoid morally contaminating themselves by associating with a struck company, but it can have negative effects on the workers and their unions. Wildcat boycotts can harm workers by reducing back-end pay and benefits they get from shows if that stuff is tied to the show's performance, and wildcat boycotts can hurt unions by damaging negotiations with employers that may or may not be going on.
The important thing to remember with all of this is that the strike is about them, not us. Part of being a good ally is remembering to let the workers' voices be heard first and prioritizing being a good listener and following their lead, rather than prioritizing our feelings.

i'm no longer fearful. men are all seemingly rapidly becoming like this. if they can go full radical (extremist term) why can’t we go full radical (root term) too? check this blog for updates over the next coming day/weeks/month. a big change is coming. we are stronger together, by the way. let them be distracted by tearing each other down over race/class/sexuality etc and other minor differences. the old “die heretic!” joke has never been so accurate. let’s focus on our commonality for now. that’s how resistance works, it cannot work in isolation. it needs community and solidarity. i’m considering a book, for free, online, drm free, no profit motive. donate if you want, it’ll go straight to the resistance. i’m making huge lists of recommendations (books, documentaries, etc. anything that isn’t PURELY fiction for the fiction website to read something else for a change). i’m making lists of links of terms and people to look up. if you don’t want to look, fine, it will still be there if/when you do. i’m turning off my privacy blockers and re-enabling search. i’m purging my blocklist, all 11 years of it. i’m making a community, maybe communities. join if you want. there will only be limited moderation to prevent predation and sadistic cruelty. it will be 18+, not for nsfw content, but because <18 need to socialize with their own. if they want to lie and sneak in like i used to, fine, but that’s up to and on them. maybe i’ll blaze them when it’s ready. 11 years with an account on here and 2 more before that and i still can’t pony up any money besides the monthly ad free fee? it’s given so much, why not? it’s under attack too, like the internet archive. why not?
in the meantime, i’ve switched to ecosia (both search engine and browser). go check it out. there’s an invite link at the bottom. it doesn’t do anything other than say how many people have signed up using it. it doesn’t cost or confer anything. all ad revenue supports the trees they plant after every whatever number of searches. your ad blockers don’t fully work anymore anyway. the privacy toggles are equivalent to duckduckgo and much better than chrome.
the link below will take you to the android or ios app or pc. whatever.
Check this out: Ecosia plants trees when you search the web! 🌳
Join me and 20M+ others and start planting today.

If you’re using an iPhone or iPad, tap here to confirm you’ve joined:

/e/os is an os running on the android open source kit. no google, no apple, all functionality.
go get it on a freephone, the completely modular and right-to-repair smartphone made of ethically and sustainably sourced recycled materials.
all of this is the same functionality you already have but free, except for the fairphone obviously. think of the discontinued amazon smile program. speaking of. this third one (raiseright) even lets you buy an amazon giftcard and use between 6-20% of the money for the nonprofit of your choice with 100% same value, if you absolutely must purchase from amazon.
of course, bookshop is always better for books.
don’t see it there? older title? go check thriftbooks.
but first check your library. this extension will automatically check any and all libraries you choose for physical, ebook, and audiobook copies.
there are always alternatives. “no ethical consumption under capitalism” is true, but you still have a choice. you always do. a new world is possible. i hope to see you there. i’m pinning this, btw, because it is 4:30 am and i doubt many people will see this. maybe blaze it later without the top screenshot portion.

the beginner's guide to making money by investing in stocks (hot girl version)
since one of my goals here is to make money i wanted to teach you about what i know about investing in stocks. i use the website etoro to invest, below you can see a picture of my portfolio at the moment. i am by no means an expert but i've found the whole process of investing to be unnecessarily mystified so i thought i'd share what i have learned so far.
what does buying stocks mean?
in simple terms, buying stocks means buying a (tiny) fraction of a company. if the value of the company increases the value of your share goes up, if the company loses money the value goes down.
when should i buy and sell?
ideally, you should buy when you think that the value of a stock will increase in the future and you should sell when you have made a profit. in practice, this means you try to invest when a stock has reached its lowest value and you sell when you think it has reached its peak (but this is, of course, impossible to predict perfectly).
where can i buy stocks?
i would personally recommend going through an online stock trading platform, like etoro. you can look up what the best stock trading platforms are for your country. you should pick one with minimal fees that offers some tutorial or introduction to trading.
you can also go through a stock broker (a person that makes the investments for you) or more broadly your bank - be aware though, that they might take a cut of your profit for their services which is something you need to subtract from your expected profit.
how do i know what to invest in?
There are a few recommendations that I have seen time and time again:
ETFs - exchange-traded funds are bundles of stocks that are traded together. the advantage of ETFs is that they don't rely on a single company making a profit, the companies just need to make a profit overall. they are much less volatile than individual stocks and since economies usually always grow in the long-term, you are very likely to make a profit.
large companies - you can also invest in large, well-established companies that are very likely to make a profit and very unlikely to go bankrupt (e.g., apple, amazon, etc.)
diversify - this means you should invest in a wide variety of companies and industries. even when one of them does really poorly you are likely to make a profit overall.
copy-trading - this means 'copying' the investments of a more experienced trader. so you specify an amount of money and invest it the same way someone who knows what they're doing is.
how much should i invest?
most websites have a minimum amount you need to invest so you could start with that to get a feel for how it works.
as a rule of thumb, they say you should not invest money that you will need within the next 5-10 years. that rule prevents you from having to sell your stock at an unfortunate moment - even if you initially write losses, you can wait for a moment when your stocks have increased in value again.
if you have a fixed income you can commit to investing a part of your income every month. i've seen this referred to as dollar-cost averaging and i have not tried it yet but it is said to be a good way to build wealth in the long term.
how do i actually make money using this knowledge?
simple answer: by selling your stock at the right time and withdrawing the money. investing is a marathon, not a sprint - you should generally give your money some time to make a profit instead of checking every day and panic selling when you see a slight change. for some stocks, the company may also pay dividends. disclaimer: at least where i am from you need to declare what you made from stocks as income and pay taxes on it.
thank you so much for reading!
if you have questions or know more about this and want to add something please leave a comment 💕

Favorite Firefox Extensions
Firefox is a very extensible browser - through a combinations of addons and userscripts you can make it behave just about any way you want. The best part is, they're all free. Here are some of my favorites.
Note: if you have an Android device, check out my post about Firefox for Android's new extended support for addons!
Note: if you have an Apple device, check out my favorite Safari extensions here!
Last updated June 2024 (fixed link for Bypass Paywalls Clean).
Index:
uBlock Origin
Tab Session Manager
Sauron
Bypass Paywalls Clean
Auto Tab Discard
Video DownloadHelper
Highlight or Hide Search Engine Results
TWP - Translate Web Pages
UnTrap - YouTube Customizer
Indie Wiki Buddy
Cookie Auto Delete
ShopSuey - Get Rid of Ads on Amazon and Ebay
LibraryExtension
uBlock Origin
(compatible with Firefox for Android)
This is the first addon I install on any new Firefox browser. It's an adblocker, but at its core it can remove pretty much any HTML element from a website, and it comes with pre-configured lists for removing everything from ads to cookie banners to those annoying popups that ask you to sign up for email newsletters.
Tab Session Manager
Have you ever accidentally lost all your open browser tabs due to a computer update, or even just accidentally closing Firefox? With this addon you no longer have to worry about that - it automatically saves your open tabs and windows every time the browser closes, and autosaves a restore point of tabs every few minutes in case the browser crashes unexpectedly. Opening all your previous tabs and windows is a one-click deal.
Sauron
Ever wished your favorite website had a dark mode? With Sauron, now it can! Sauron attempts to intelligently figure out how to edit the color scheme of the web page (including text) to make it dark-mode friendly. It preserves the original color of images, but dims them so that they don't blind you. You can disable image dimming or dark mode on a site by site basis too. It's not perfect since it is making guesses about which colors to change, but it goes a long way toward making the internet an enjoyable place for me.
Bypass Paywalls Clean
This addon removes paywalls from hundreds of news websites around the world or adds links to open the article in a wrapper that provides the article text (like the Internet Archive etc.)
Auto Tab Discard
Ever wanted to keep a tab open for later use, but you notice the browser getting slower and slower the more tabs you have open? Auto Tab Discard will automatically "hibernate" tabs that you haven't used in a while so that they use less resources on your computer. It's smart enough not to hibernate pages that are playing media (like YouTube) or that have forms you haven't submitted yet (like job applications). You can customize how fast it puts tabs to sleep too and exclude certain websites from hibernating at all.
Video DownloadHelper
This addon can download streaming videos from most modern (HTML5) websites, and even finds soft subtitles that accompany the stream and downloads those too. Just browse to the webpage that has the video on it, click the icon in the Firefox toolbar, and select the video you want to download and click "Quick Download". For YouTube I would recommend using a YT downloader website (like KeepVid) to download the video directly, but Video DownloadHelper really shines for websites that aren't popular enough to have dedicated downloader websites like that. I've used it download videos from a Japanese film festival streaming portal, news websites, etc.
Highlight or Hide Search Engine Results
This addon allows you to blacklist websites and completely remove them from Google, Bing, or DuckDuckGo search results. Don't want to see image search results from AI websites? Blacklist them. Searching for tech support advice and getting frustrated by all the auto-generated junk websites that stuff themselves full of SEO terms to jump to the top of the search results without actually providing any information at all? Blacklist them so they don't come up in your next search. Conversely, you can also whitelist websites that you know and trust so that if they ever come up in future search results, they'll be highlighted with a color of your choosing for visibility.
TWP - Translate Web Pages
(compatible with Firefox for Android)
Does what it says on the tin: auto-detects a website's language and provides a button that can translate it to a language of your choosing. You can also just select individual text on the page and translate just that. Note that this sends whatever text you translate to the servers of your selected translation service (Google, Bing, Yandex, or DeepL), so keep in mind the privacy implications if you don't want your IP address associated with having read that text.
Edit: As of version 118, Firefox now has the ability to translate text locally on your computer, without needing to send it to a cloud service. You can enable this in Settings -> Translation -> Install languages for offline translation. Note that at this time (May 2024), 18 (mostly European) languages are supported. More info here.
UnTrap for YouTube
(compatible with Firefox for Android and they have a Safari for iOS extension too)
This addon lets you tweak the YouTube interface and hide anything you don't want to see. For instance, I hide all the "recommended" videos that come up when you search YT now. They have nothing to do with your search, so they're essentially just ads YT puts in your search results. I also hide Explore, Trending, More from YouTube, and Shorts sections, but you can customize it to fit your preferences.
Note: depending on the particular set of tweaks you want to make to YouTube, you may prefer to use YouTube Search Fixer instead. User preference.
Indie Wiki Buddy
I loathe Fandom.com wiki sites - they are cluttered and filled with ads and autoplaying videos that follow you down the page as you scroll. The organization is also hostile - if a community tries to leave their platform and bring their content to a new wiki hoster, Fandom bans them from the platform and reverts all their deletions/changes. Indie Wiki Buddy attempts to find an independent alternative for the wiki you're trying to browse and automatically redirects you to it, and if one doesn't exist, it will redirect you to a proxy site like antifandom or breezewiki that shows the Fandom content but removes all ads/videos/background images so you can actually, you know. READ it.
Cookie Auto Delete
(compatible with Firefox for Android)
Websites store "cookies" - little text files with info about you - on your computer as you browse so they can track you as you browse the internet. This addon automatically deletes cookies from a website a short while after you close the last tab you had open for that site. You can customize how long it waits before clearing cookies too. Note that this can sign you out of many websites, so you can whitelist any site you don't want cookies cleared for.
ShopSuey - Get Rid of Ads on Amazon and Ebay
Removes the ads/recommended products that clutter up Amazon and Ebay search results and product pages.
LibraryExtension
This fantastic addon recognizes when you are viewing a book on many popular websites and can automatically check whether that book is available in any of the library systems or subscription services you have access to, including how many copies your library(ies) have and how many are currently checked out. The best part is it shows the availability for physical books, ebooks, AND audiobooks at supported libraries. The extension currently supports libraries in Australia, Canada, Germany, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States, but it also supports some global repositories like the Internet Archive and subscription services like NLS Bard for the blind and print disabled, Kobo Plus, Libro.fm, Anyplay.fm, Bookmate, and Everand. Great extension for people trying to support their local library and also save money.
Filtering+ for Tumblr
This addon lets you add tags or phrases to your tumblr tag filters with two clicks, without leaving the dashboard. I've been asking Tumblr for this tag filtering behavior on their mobile apps (i.e. press and hold a tag to get a filter option) for at least a year now in asks and surveys, without ever stopping to see if someone had already implemented this on desktop. More fool me. This addon is from the author of XKit Rewritten. Note that the right-click tag filtering only works on the dashboard; it will not appear if you are on someone's blog. Right-clicking selected text to filter the phrase works everywhere based on my testing.

Okay I feel like this PSA has to be made due to the terrible news that has been bestowed upon the Octonauts fandom.
Please do not outwardly promote or link to piracy websites
I'm not a moral busybody, because I'm a believer of media preservation and accessibility. It sucks to have shows, or at least their dubs, be dependent on a streaming service's license (and their expiration) to stream them or a company being too comfortable with removing them at will (looking at you HBO Max). Like have you seen that gaming company (I forgot, probably Ubisoft or an AAA thing) saying something like you should be comfortable not owning the games you buy? It's so nasty
I'm mainly concerned about your accounts here on Tumblr. There's ToS against copyright infringement, so we can't go promoting not-very-legal methods of preservation here on this site, because sites like Tumblr obviously do not want to screw with government.
You guys got to be careful using those methods, like use something to protect you and data like VPNs (I'll be using Mullvard, I don't trust VPNs that go out of their way to sponsor YouTubers). And plus, there's other services that have Octonauts like Apple TV and Amazon Prime Video. Idk how those services work since I don't use them very much but at least you can buy the Octonauts seasons and keep them (about 10 dollars for each season, tho, yikes)?
If you guys know what to do with those services and bought the seasons (or found DVDs), check if it's the US dub, or other dubs not found fully on YouTube since that's what I'm and the majority of the fanbase is mainly worried about.
Tl;Dr piracy gets your tumblr blog nuked, be more careful, there's safer ways to preserve Octonauts US dub

Hey my publisher finally got my book series, The Silent Trilogy, up on Apple Books! Check it out!!!
My publisher calls Silent Trilogy 'X-Men meets Good Omens'. That's not wrong but it is a series about abuse, colonialism and the importance of love in ways those aren't.
In more detail: the Silent Trilogy is an urban fantasy series set primarily in Hobart, Australia. It tells the story of the dainisa, a not-so-hidden magical community, focused primarily on their non-binary Princess, Torao Yamaguchi.
Desperate for her child to have a better life than she did, the leader of dainisa Amaya Yamaguchi sparks a revolution to claim Australia as a magical continent where dainisa can live in accordance with their own laws, not those of humans. However fighting power is a complex thing in a world built to function on injustice, and a pretty siren desperate for revenge could ruin it all…
Narrated through the eyes of a human who doesn’t quite get it, the Silent Trilogy is about the narratives we build of history. It's an exploration of trauma, the ways people learn to live with it, and how bigotry works. Also there's angels and demons messing things up. More info on the website!
I finished this series a long time ago but I'm still very proud of it!! It's a niche story I had a lot of fun with. I wrote this NB protag before I even came out myself so that's always cool. And every time I have to reread a part of the series I have a really hard time stopping cos I enjoy my own work so much lmao. So hopefully you'll enjoy it too!!
(it's also on Amazon if you prefer kindle, and if you don't wanna support either, well, chuck me a couple dollars on Patreon)
#support indie authors#silent trilogy#booklr#support independent books#original fiction#uhh i think that covers the tags i was meant to use lol#no shade to xmen or good omens btw those are literally two of my fave things#i'm very pleased by the comparison#writers on tumblr#idk please reblog#and pls buy my books if you can!!#auslit#australian fiction#tasmanian fiction#tasmania#loveozlit#ozlit

HOW TO PROTECT YOUR SELF-PUBLISHED WORK
1. Read through the terms of your publication
@ kayespivey (tumblr) got into details about this. As an author, you need to protect your work and make sure that you know what rights you’re giving to your publisher. @ kayespivey mentioned looking at the publishing company’s Copyright policy to check for any red flags like “non-exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free”, etc. If you agreed to that, I guarantee that your book would no longer be yours.
Instead, what you should look for, if you’re in North America, “First North American Serial Rights”, which gives you the right to be the “first publisher of your work one time”. It varies depending on which country you’re in.
2. Copyright your book
The process takes about 6-13 months. You’re supposed to already be protected by copyright laws the moment your write your book, but… eh. From a quick Google search, this seems pretty straightforward in the USA, by going on the U.S. Copyright Office website, going under “Literary Works” (of course, you’ll have to fill in a bunch of forms). Overall, it depends on your residing country, but protect your work!
The Berne Convention is an international copywrite agreement that removes the need to apply for domestic copyright in 164 countries, but this doesn’t apply to the US. If you’re living in one of those 164 countries, lucky you!
There’s a couple of terms you’ll need to know when applying for copyright. I found a website that does a thorough job of explaining the process, which I’ll post on our story, and will be in a highlight.
3. Know your worth
When you’re going through options for publishing companies, check the royalty fees, and how much you’re going to get paid for every copy of the book you sell, or whichever method the publishing company prefers. Evaluate your options!
4. Choose where you want to publish
u/alyssa_wilde on Reddit was happy with their Kindle Unlimited program with Amazon, which pays authors monthly based on the number of pages read. I’ve heard about extremely low royalties from Amazon so Kindle Unlimited could be a better choice. Other options, like Kobo, Apple Books, Barns and Noble, are also reliable choices.
u/alyssa_wilde did an incredibly detailed post about self publishing (particularly for the romance genre) on Reddit, I’ll link it onto the story and make it into a highlight… it’s worth looking at.
———
So this wasn’t a post on how to edit your manuscript for self-publishing, but hopefully it clarified some scary things about your rights as an author. As always, if you think you’ve got some pointers that would help others, feel free to comment!

It's 2024 and I'm admittedly unsure how to feel about that. 2023 came and went with both highs and lows. But I haven't done a State of the Thatcher Address for a few months, so I think a new year calls for one.
I'm behind on writing already this year, but mostly because my writing efforts at the end of last month were less than successful. The holidays really messed with my head this year. I'm playing catch-up from the beginning, but I've got four months of bimbo fun planned for all of you. And I'll talk about about my upcoming plans below.
This is a good moment to remind you that my books are available on Amazon, Smashwords, Apple, Google Play, Barnes & Noble, Everand (formerly Srcibd), Kobo, and Ream. I'm too lazy to link every single one of those retailers, but I will point everyone to Ream, which is a subscription site similar to Patreon, but for authors. I post every story I write there, even the ones I can't publish to Amazon. And I also post pictures, like the one above, that were considered for my covers. I'm always looking for new ways to make Ream valuable to my readers.
Here's the link to Ream: https://reamstories.com/sadiethatcher
In addition to my erotica writing, I also write fantasy, urban fantasy, and paranormal fiction under the name Libby Feron. I've got six novels and a series omnibus published so far with the goal of writing and publishing another series this year. In fact, my January is packed, because I need to write the first book so I can deliver it to my editor and publisher for a late winter/early spring release. For those who have read or followed the Magic's Most Wanted Series, Tempest's little sister is getting her own series as she heads off to a college for magic. The new series is called Magical Misfits Academy and the first book is titled Clash of Souls. For updates free content, check out my website and sign up for my email newsletter at https://libbyferon.com.
And now let's talk about upcoming projects I'm working on. I wrote a series about a bimbo retrovirus way back in 2014 and now I'm returning to the virus idea ten years later. It will be a completely different story concept this time and I'm in the middle of writing the first book. It should be fun, sexy, and spicy.
Other projects I'm working this month include a special commission called Bimbo Legal. It will feature TG content and be a long novella or short novel. I also have plans for a series about a bimbo power up (inspired by Mario) although unlikely to have any video game references. And at the end of the month I've got plans to write about an evil corporation that bimbofies people who protest against it as a means of reversing PR problems. And that's just January.
As you can see, I have a lot to write this month, which is one reason I opted not to hunt down links for every retailer my books are on. I trust that you have a search engine that can help you. And assuming I don't have an interruption in my schedule like I did in January of 2023, you'll be seeing a lot of great content from me very soon. Now it's back to writing.
Have a happy and sexy 2024!

Ciao lovelies! Today’s post is another Agere / Age Regression centered post! It is a Agere Gift Ideas / Age Regression Gift Ideas post! This particular themed list is 10 Amazon Gift Ideas under $10 for a Creative Age Regressor! Amazon has lots of great picks under $10 (not including shipping) for Creative Age Regressors! So today’s list has 10 Amazon Products that are under $10 that any creative age regressor would love!
Looking for other Age Regression Gift Ideas? Check out our “5 Age Regression Gift Ideas for Valentine’s Day Under $10” post that is full of cute gift ideas for age regressors, that can be used for Valentines day or really, any occasion!
For now though, let’s talk about Amazon! Online shopping can be super fun, but it’s even more fun when you’re shopping for gifts for a loved one! (At least, I think so!) But that can be super stressful too. Sometimes it’s hard to know what someone would want, and it can be hard to think of a super great gift idea, especially when you’re on a budget. But fear not! I have scoured the website of Amazon and picked 10 gift ideas that are under $10, and are all perfect for a creative Age Regressor, a little one who loves doing crafts and making art!
Just a quick DISCLAIMER before we begin: All prices are as of 4/24/2020 and the prices do not include shipping fees. OFT and Lunaria are NOT associated nor affiliated with Amazon nor any of the sellers or products listed. This list is made for entertainment only.
All that being said, let’s get into these gift ideas!
1: Scented Markers! - $7.48
This is a great gift for a creative age regressor who loves scented things! Be sure to check that your age regressor friend/loved one does not have scent-triggered migraines before going for a scented product like this, though.
This product comes with 12 Markers in the scents Raspberry, Watermelon, Cherry, Orange, Banana, Mint, Apple, Fruit Punch, Blueberry, Grape, Cinnamon and Licorice. This gift is great for a creative age regressor who can use them to draw or color scented masterpieces!
2: Jumbo Coloring Pad full of Animal Designs! - $4.98
This jumbo coloring book has so many cute animal designs (50, to be exact). Plus, it’s gender neutral, so it’s perfect for any age regressor of any gender! This would be perfect for a creative age regressor who loves to color, and loves animals!
3: 1000+ Sticker Book! - $4.99
This sticker book is amazing- I’m speaking from experience on this one! I actually own this book and I love it! I’ve used almost every sticker in the book on various projects like my agere journal, letters, decorating notebooks, and more!
If you have a loved one or friend who is a creative age regressor, they will love this!
4: Paper Dragon Kit! - $9.79
This kit will help your little loved one/friend make some epic dragons! If your age regressor loved one/friend loves dragons and loves to create, this kit is great for them! It is probably best for someone who regresses to a slightly older age.
5: Decorate Your Own Wooden Plane Kit! - $4.99
This kit is perfect for a creative age regressor! Not only can they design and decorate their own little wooden plane, but then they can play with it! If your loved one/friend is someone who loves to decorate things, this could be a great gift for them!
Plus, you don’t only have to use what’s provided! You could also pick up some $0.50 acrylic paints at a supermarket like Walmart and use those for additional colors!
6: Decorate Your Own Horses kit! - $7.99
This kit is perfect for animal lovers and creative spirits alike! As mentioned with the #5 pick, you could enhance this kit by buying more paint colors with which to paint the little horse figures!
Plus, maybe get some popsicle sticks and help your age regressor friend/loved one build a stable for their newly painted horse friends!
7: SLIMYGLOOP Unicorn Slime Kit! - $5.00
This kit is great for regressors who want to stim with slime! I personally like stimming with slime sometimes, and its even better when it’s bright and colorful like this one!
8: Beading Kit! - $8.99
One of my absolute fave activities to do when regressed is to make bracelets! Making bracelets is a fun and easy craft that can use lots of creativity and can be really relaxing too! Plus after making them, you get cute bracelets to wear when regressed! What’s not to love?
9: Paper Fortune Tellers Kit! - $7.15
Just seeing this kit brings nostalgia. When you were a kid, did you ever make paper fortune tellers? Let me know in the comments!
This kit would be great for a person who regresses to a slightly older age!
10: Sand Art Bottles! - $6.99
I love sand art! I loved it even way back into my childhood! I think Sand Art is a great project for a person who regresses to a slightly older age who would like a slightly more challenging activity to do.

Writing an eBook Involves Several Key Steps
Creating an ebook can be both a rewarding and strategic process, especially when following a detailed roadmap. Here’s an expanded version of the steps:
1- Plan and Outline: Begin by identifying the purpose and core message of your ebook. What problem are you solving, or what story are you telling? Research your target audience to tailor your content specifically to their needs and interests. A strong outline helps you stay organized and ensures you cover all essential points. Break your book down into chapters or sections, with each addressing a key aspect of your topic or narrative.
2- Write the Content: With your outline as a guide, dive into the writing process. Set daily or weekly writing goals to maintain momentum. Stay authentic to your voice and keep your audience in mind throughout the writing process. Whether you’re crafting a fiction novel or a non-fiction guide, aim for clear, engaging, and informative content that adds value. Focus on providing a unique perspective or insights that differentiate your ebook from others in the market.
3- Edit and Proofread: After completing your first draft, step away for a while before revisiting it with fresh eyes. This distance can help you spot inconsistencies or areas that need improvement. Consider hiring a professional editor or using tools like Grammarly for grammar checks. Editing isn’t just about fixing errors; it also involves improving sentence structure, tone, and the overall readability of your book. Proofreading should be the final step to catch typos, formatting issues, and other minor mistakes before publishing.
4- Format Your Ebook: Ebook formatting ensures that your content looks professional across different devices, whether it’s being read on a Kindle, tablet, or phone. Platforms like KDP and Apple Books have specific requirements, so use formatting software or services like Calibre or Vellum to ensure your ebook is ready for digital publication. Don’t forget about the importance of a visually appealing cover – it’s often the first thing a reader notices. A well-designed cover can significantly increase your ebook’s appeal.
5- Publish and Promote: After formatting, choose your platform for distribution. Shabd.in is one of the most popular platforms, but you might also consider Apple Books, Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), Kobo, or Google Play Books, depending on your target audience. These platforms often allow authors to set pricing, distribution options, and even choose royalty rates. After publishing, the hard work of promotion begins. Utilize social media, your website, email newsletters, and even paid ads to get your ebook in front of potential readers. Offering free sample chapters or hosting a virtual book launch can help build momentum.
By following this comprehensive guide, you’ll not only produce a high-quality ebook but also effectively promote it to reach a wide audience, ensuring your ebook’s success.

Favorite iOS Safari Extensions
On iOS (iPhones and iPads), Safari is the undisputed leader of the browsers, primarily because Apple puts very tight restrictions on other browser apps that makes it very difficult for them to offer the same features that Safari does.
Thankfully, you can install extensions to tweak Safari's behavior and customize websites, as long as your device is running iOS 15 or higher. Here are the Safari Extensions I use on a daily basis. Most are free (or at least have a free version), and all work on both iPhones and iPads.
For desktop computers and Android phones, you can also check out my recommendations for Firefox addons)
Last updated June 2024 (fixed broken Bypass Paywalls Clean userscript link, added recommended adblock and ublacklist filter lists)
Index:
AdGuard
Noir
uBlacklist
Userscripts
Sink It for Reddit
UnTrap
Vinegar
AdGuard
This addon is free if you just want to use the built in adblocking lists. For a small yearly fee, you can pay for "Pro" features, which allows you to add any custom adblocking list to the app, as well as providing DNS-based system-level adblocking that can block ads and trackers inside any app on your phone. Note that it gives you two options for the system-level blocking, local VPN and native DNS; using the VPN option can drain your battery faster than normal in my experience, so I recommend using the native DNS instead. Between AdGuard and the two YouTube-customizing extensions below, I haven’t seen an ad on YouTube in Safari in months.
Recommended custom filter lists (in addition to the built-in default lists):
Bypass Paywalls Clean
Huge AI Blocklist
Fuck FuckAdblock
Noir
Adds a dark mode to any website. It's using heuristics (fancy guessing) to figure out which website colors need to be changed so that it's properly darking, so sometimes it can make mistakes. In that case, it has a built in way to send a bug report to the developer, who is pretty responsive in my experience. You can also turn it off for specific sites right from inside Safari.
uBlacklist
This addon hides search engine results with specific domains. Example: you can hide images results from AI generator sites, OR if you search for tech support advice and one of those stupid auto-generated sites filled with SEO garbage but no actual information keeps popping up, you can use this addon to hide everything from that website, right from the Google/DuckDuckGo/other search results.
Recommended filter subscriptions:
Huge AI Blocklist
Userscripts
Allows you to install userscripts and stylesheets that customize website behavior or appearance. The addon can check for updates of your userscripts and uses iCloud to synchronize them across devices too, which is really nice. The userscripts I use are:
Bypass Paywalls Clean (removes news website paywalls)
Amazon Sponsored Products Removal (self-explanatory)
Redirect Fandom to BreezeWiki (bypasses ad-filled fandom.com domains for indie wikis or an ad-free proxy site. The link documents 2 userscripts with slightly different behavior; use whichever you prefer).
Sink It for Reddit
I switched to using Reddit in the browser only after the whole API/third party apps fiasco. AdGuard blocks the ads in the web interface, but there were still a lot of annoyances because Reddit constantly bombarded you with prompts/popups trying to get you to switch to their app so they could track you and sell you ads. Sink It for Reddit removes all of those popups and lets you customize the behavior of the Reddit website too (tapping a post can open it in a new tab, back to top buttons for long posts, and video downloads, among other things). Constantly being updated too, which is nice to see.
UnTrap (USD $1.99)
This extension cleans up the YouTube interface in the browser. You can hide Shorts, Explore, Trending, and multiple flavors of Suggestions (videos, playlists, etc.). It also has a content filter you can use to ensure you never see certain channels or even specific videos by ID, username, or keyword/regex. There are over 50 options you can tweak for the video playback page alone, so if you’re looking to remove an annoyance from YouTube in Safari on iOS, this is the addon for you. Note however that this is the first extension I’ve recommended that does NOT have a free version.
Vinegar (USD $1.99)
This extension replaces YouTube’s custom video player with a standard HTML5 one. This means that YT videos will play back using the standard iOS video player interface, including all of the accompanying benefits: better interface, Picture in Picture/popout videos work, videos continue playing in the background even if you leave Safari, etc.. I was even able to start a YouTube video in Safari, lock my phone, and then continue playing the video and hear the audio over my car’s speakers via CarPlay. These are all normally locked features reserved for YouTube Premium subscribers. You can also set a default quality that it will use so YouTube won’t use “auto” and set you to 360p just because you’re using a phone.
