#so as my accounts been growing ive been avoiding it more and more

Hey there! Just a general question. Your account is rated 16+ and you're all about it, but kind of frequently post softcore porn and revealing art (a lot of chest groping, sexualized outfits, etc). You've advertised your 18+ poipiku and just limited it to followers only with no additional passwords, but that also permits your followers who are minors to see. Just asking of why do you need the engagement from 16 and 17 year olds? (and of course younger, of not being a priv acc, because many below that follow you) I’m just curious! Is it that hard to make your accounts 18+ and block minors and people with no age in bio?
hello! the 16+ on my profile is more of a content rating, NOT a desired audience rating. in my eyes i had always viewed warnings such as 16+ to be for raunchier stuff but nothing explicit, and 18+ to be for the explicit stuff, so i had just made the assumption that since my stuff is raunchy and not explicit itd make sense to slap a 16+ content warning on my page. however this topic is rather nuanced, and you can argue some of my art treads too closely to being "explicit," so, if i am wrong on this, im more than willing to update my abouts. this account has only ever been a place for me to share my art, and i havent really stopped to think about who might be watching enough as i generally try to avoid thinking about these accounts as much as i can. and for that negligence i do apologize
as for the poipiku stuff; i created it so id have a place to post nsfw stuff without flashing people with it. i always state on the post that it is 18+, indicating i do not want those younger to be interacting with it. i cannot control what my audience does or doesnt do, nor do i have any way to tell if im being lied to or not when it comes to ones age. i like to avoid using my art tumblr and art twitter as much as possible, so if i were to add a password it would still be something easy to crack that minors may still disrespect. i made it followers only so my stuff wouldnt spread further and to minimize its reach
either way, my art accounts are predominantly places for me to simply post my art and, on occasion, my thoughts. i do not use my art accounts as a hangout place or somewhere to socialize, and i avoid checking my followers alot because i dont wanna obsess over numbers and an audience for my own sake. i am not always on this account, and i barely touch my art twitter at all, i dont really know everything thats going on and whats happening as i try to keep to myself and stay in my own little bubble.
i understand what youre getting at, and if you think there are better ways for me to go about keeping minors safe online then im more than willing to hear it out. please note though that this account is not my entire life. this is not where i spend most of my time. i have other things i need to do, thus i do not have time to monitor every single person who interacts with me. this accounts sole intent is to simply share what i make, and i hope that those too young to interact will respect that its not for them, because at the end of the day theres truly only so much i can do.
you are making this sound predatory when its just me being overly avoidant of interacting with others, which by proxy has lead to me giving lackluster precautions which is worthy of criticism on its own. you dont need to make it into something bigger. i agree that i probably couldve set better boundaries, but at the end of the day i dont use these accounts alot and i try to mind my own business, because frankly i dont like having alot of eyes on me. but the negligence of my accounts is definitely an oversight on my end, so for that i do apologize. i had added the 16+ rating before i started posting raunchier stuff, and its kinda snowballed since. so either way it likely is time for an update
#ask#tldr i never wanted a big audience to begin with#so as my accounts been growing ive been avoiding it more and more#while simultaneously continuing to just draw what makes me happy. which can sometimes be more crude stuff#but i had forgotten that my reach will extend to those younger too and i didnt take that into account. and i am sorry for that#i wasnt built for this as u can see

—
The cool air blowing through the vents did little to keep you awake, so you reached down to turn up the music. The seat gently vibrated in sync with the bass, almost lulling you to sleep instead of keeping you alert.
You shook your head. Only twenty more minutes.
Trees blurred in your peripheral vision, and the oncoming headlights cut through the thick night fog, almost blinding you. Silently cursing, you squinted as the combination of bright lights and loud music gave you a headache. It wasn’t an ideal situation, but as the people-pleaser you were, you had agreed to cover a shift for a friend. Which normally wouldn’t be too bad if it weren’t the worst shift possible– 3 PM to 11 PM.
Spending the entire day under the harsh fluorescent lights of the office had been miserable, but at least you avoided rush-hour traffic. Now, the highway was deserted, the pavement stretching endlessly ahead, and you took full advantage. The speedometer ticked upward—eighty, ninety—until it settled on a bold 100 mph. You straightened your back, gripping the wheel tighter.
This was the only good part of your night.
You, the open road, and the music moving in sync. Your foot pressed the gas pedal to the beat, the car swaying slightly as you danced along to the rhythm. For a brief moment, freedom rushed through your veins.
Then, your joy was cut short.
Blinding LED headlights filled your rearview mirror.
Despite your already reckless speed, the approaching truck was closing the distance fast, its lights growing brighter by the second. With a frustrated sigh, you flipped the switch on your mirror to dim the glare, but the relief was minimal. You pressed the gas just enough to hold a steady 90 mph, hoping the driver would back off.
They didn’t.
The truck inched closer, practically kissing your bumper. Your patience thinned.
"Where do you have to be right now?" you yelled, throwing your hands in the air before slamming them back onto the wheel.
You refused to speed up any further. You were already pushing legal limits, and there was an entirely open lane to your right. Why isn’t he just going around me? A quick glance in the mirror confirmed your suspicions—a middle-aged man, his expression unreadable.
"Go around me if you're that impatient, grandpa!"
But he didn’t. He just stayed there.
Your jaw tightened as the truck loomed behind you, headlights flooding the interior of your car. And then—just when you thought his lights couldn’t get any more obnoxious—they flickered.
Your irritation flared. Is he seriously flashing his brights at me?
Normally, you avoided road rage. You knew better than to test angry strangers in metal death machines. But today had been a day.
Burning coffee spilled on your chest that morning. The dreadful realization that you had to work this godforsaken shift. The mind-numbing hours spent under soul-sucking office lights. And now, this asshole riding your bumper.
Your nerves snapped.
On the third flicker of his brights, your foot slammed on the brake.
The jolt wasn’t enough to stop the car entirely, just a warning. A signal.
But the truck didn’t back off.
Instead, his brights stayed on—permanently.
Your car felt like the inside of a lightbulb, and the overwhelming glare made it hard to see the road. Your speed dropped slightly as you struggled to focus.
You have got to be kidding me…
This time, your foot hesitated over the brake. You weren’t sure how close he really was. The last thing you needed was an accident.
But fate had other plans.
A deafening horn blast rattled through the night.
The sudden noise startled you, and before you could stop yourself, your foot slammed down—
—on the brake.
Everything happened in an instant.
Your forehead hit the steering wheel, only to be snapped backward by the force of the deploying airbag. The nylon burned against your skin, suffocating and blinding you. Your tires screamed against the pavement as the car spun out of control. Your body strained against the seatbelt as you felt the car dip into the median. A sharp pain shot through your neck as your head slammed against the headrest.
"Fuck..." you groaned.
It was a minor crash, all things considered. But your car? Completely totaled.
The front bumper was crushed into the median railing. The back was crumpled—rammed in by the truck.
The truck.
Adrenaline masked the pain as you forced yourself to move. The car was a mess—your tote bag had spilled across the seats, its contents scattered. You fumbled with your seatbelt, fingers shaking, until—
Click.
You were free.
You sprang into action, anger seizing complete control. The car door slammed behind you as you stomped toward the man’s driver-side door.
“What the fuck is wrong with you? You could have killed us!”
You didn’t care that his door was closed—he was going to hear you.
To your surprise, the man opened the door, unbuckling his seatbelt as if nothing had happened. His truck sat parked on the shoulder, barely touched. A few scratches on the front bumper. No airbags deployed.
Meanwhile, your car was wrecked.
The stark contrast sent a fresh wave of rage through you. Your fist slammed against the hood of his truck—not even a dent.
“You could have just moved over.”
His voice was calm. Unbothered.
The indifference made you freeze.
Eyes wide, you finally looked at him—really looked at him. He was older—dark hair streaked with gray, hands calloused and worn. His lips pressed into a firm line, tired eyes set deep beneath a hardened expression. He had an air of intimidation about him, the kind that came with experience rather than effort. And despite everything—despite the wreck, the rage still simmering in your chest—he was handsome. If you weren’t so pissed off, the way his unwavering gaze dragged over you might’ve made you falter—hell, maybe even blush.
You scoffed at his southern drawl, unimpressed. His voice carried the charm of a gentleman, but his actions were anything but.
“I was there first. You should have moved over.”
He huffed a laugh. “It’s called the fast lane, sweetheart. And I was the faster one.”
You clenched your jaw. “I was going twenty over. Is that not fast enough for you, old man?”
His expression hardened. His eyes dragged over you, then flicked to your totaled car.
“What, you just get your license a month ago? A little speed too much for ya?”
“I’ve been driving for over ten years, and I’ve never met anyone as obnoxious as you.”
“Double that and get back to me, sweetheart.”
The nickname made your eye twitch. The condescension, the complete lack of remorse—it was infuriating. The minutes ticked by, the night stretching darker as the two of you bickered on the side of the empty highway.
Finally, you yanked your phone from your back pocket, the glow illuminating your face as you scrolled to contacts. Turning the screen to him, you snapped, “Put your number in here. I’m getting my insurance card.”
With a grunt, the man took the phone, holding it at an absurd distance from his face. He extended a middle finger, jabbing the screen at a snail’s pace.
You crossed your arms. “Christ, you’re old…”
With the last of your patience slipping away, you turned to your car, lips pressing into a thin line as you took in the damage—worse than you remembered. You yanked open the glove box, rummaging through the mess before pulling out a small booklet of insurance papers.
The crash, the argument, the adrenaline—it had all faded, leaving behind a dull ache stretching from your neck to the back of your head. Each step back to the truck felt heavier than the last.
Joel handed your phone back without a word. He sat in the driver’s seat now, feet propped on the step bar, door wide open. Peering past him, you took in the state of his truck—well-worn, maybe just as old as him. The glove box hung open, spilling out crumpled papers, loose receipts, and junk strewn across the seats. Dirt encrusted the floors, stains lined the fabric, and the entire cab smelled faintly of sweat and sawdust. A typical work truck.
Glancing at your phone screen, you found his name entered stiffly, all caps, on the first line only.
JOEL MILLER.
A small grin tugged at your lips as you fixed the spacing before saving the contact. You sent him a message—just your name—and watched as his phone lit up in confirmation.
Joel cleared his throat. “D’ya got anybody to get you home?”
Your eyes met his. The frustration still simmered, but his question forced you to acknowledge what you’d been avoiding.
His gaze flicked to your wrecked car. “That thing ain’t gettin’ you nowhere, and it’s not safe for a girl like you to be out here this late.”
You huffed. “A girl like me?”
You knew what he meant. You had already run through the worst-case scenarios in your head—alone, stranded, barely past midnight. Every woman’s worst nightmare.
But you weren’t about to let him have the satisfaction of thinking he was doing you a favor.
“Yeah,” Joel said, a playful tone lacing his words, “ones that like to start problems.”
You glanced past him into the truck once again—exactly the kind of scene you were warned to avoid. Cluttered, worn, the kind of place that set off alarms in the back of your mind. But your options were limited—this or the highway.
When you looked back at his face, the sharp edge of his anger had dulled. He no longer looked like the man who had run you off the road, but someone weighed down by exhaustion, just trying to get home—same as you. The toll of a long workweek clung to you both.
He exhaled sharply. “You got a ride or not?”
Your hesitation must’ve been obvious because he reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. “Look,” he muttered, flipping the screen toward you.
A blonde girl beamed back, clutching a trophy and soccer ball.
Joel’s expression softened, a quiet, tired smile pulling at his lips.
“I got a daughter,” he said, voice quieter now. “I wouldn’t want her out here like this.”
Something in your chest eased. This was the first time you had seen him smile all night.
“Thank you.” You nodded. “Yeah- uh no, I don’t have a ride.”
Joel motioned toward your car. “I’ll clear a spot. Grab your stuff.”
With a grateful nod, you turned back to the wreck. You reached inside, sifting through the mess until you found the essentials—wallet, keys, and headphones. Tossing them into your bag, you made your way back to the truck.
Joel stood by the open passenger door, waiting.
You climbed in with a small nod of thanks. The cool air inside was a relief from the heavy night air. The seat hugged your body, and you wasted no time clicking the seatbelt into place—already well aware of Joel’s driving.
The truck dipped under his weight as he dropped into the driver’s seat, door slamming shut behind him.
“Where am I headed, kiddo?”
The engine rumbled to life, country music blasting through the speakers. Joel grimaced, quickly turning the volume down.
“Uh—just outside downtown, by the school- the highschool. Not the college. Just take exit fourteen and it’s pretty much straight until the river.”
Joel gave a short nod, seemingly satisfied with your poor, over-explained directions.
Silence settled between you, the earlier hostility replaced by something quieter. The shift was jarring. Maybe it was exhaustion. Maybe it was the realization that this wreck wasn’t about reckless driving—it was about two overworked, pissed-off people taking their frustrations out on the wrong things.
Joel wasn’t the kind of man who let emotions get the best of him—he couldn’t afford to be. Not as a father. Most days, life’s inconveniences were just that. As long as Sarah was happy, everything else was just noise.
But today had pushed him too far.
Three months of work—scrapped in a single meeting. No discussion. No warning. The new plans were a mess, the compromises were nonexistent, and the client was an insufferable pain in the ass. Joel had spent the entire day fighting for compromises that never came, his patience thinning with every rejection. Agreeing on the original plans had been difficult enough, and now this high-paying client was proving to be more trouble than he was worth.
The rest of Joel’s day was spent reviewing these so-called new plans, searching for compromises that might salvage at least some of the work already completed. But every suggestion he made was quickly rejected. The client wanted things done his way—no exceptions.
By the end of the day, frustration had Joel gripping the arms of his chair, clinging to the hope that at least one compromise might be accepted. But it wasn’t until eight o’clock—long past the time he should have been home—that the final rejection came. Even then, he persevered, spending the next few hours adjusting measurements and sketching out a rough plan to present the following morning. He just wanted this project to be over.
By the time he eventually left the office, his patience was gone.
The open road was supposed to be his escape. Just him, his truck, and the empty highway.
Then you got in his way.
He could’ve merged. Could’ve passed you and been done with it.
But the sight of your car in his lane, unaware, unbothered—it was the final straw.
He’d done this a hundred times before.
A little bumper-to-bumper game.
A little misplaced frustration.
He never meant for it to go this far.
But here you were, in his passenger seat. And your crumpled car was proof of just how wrong the night had gone.
And now, he had to get you home.
The low rumble of the engine and the faint hum of country music filled the quiet space between you. Joel drove at a far more reasonable pace now, nothing like the reckless tailgating from earlier. The road stretched ahead, lined by dense forest on either side, the scenery offering a welcome distraction as you gazed out the window.
"I'm sorry about your car."
The sudden break in silence made you jolt slightly in your seat. Your lips parted, but no words came out at first.
Sure, he was giving you a ride home, but that didn’t erase the mess he’d made of your night—or your car. You still had to deal with insurance, miss work, and somehow navigate the nightmare that was the current car market. The frustration bubbled up again, only to be met with the nagging reminder that your own childish stunt had played a part in this too.
The thought sent heat creeping up your neck. You huffed, crossing your arms. "Deserved. Partially– I think you gave me fucking whiplash."
His eyes met yours briefly, a flicker of compassion breaking through his stoic exterior.
As his gaze fell on the lock screen of his beloved daughter, guilt settled deep in his chest. If she had come home telling him a man had run her off the road—wrecking her car in the process—he knew the rage he would feel. He had been raised to be a gentleman, to respect women, and fatherhood had only reinforced those values. Your original outburst had been justified; after all, he had watched you crawl from the wreckage of your car, shaken but alive. Yet, his pride had held firm.
Now, faced with your unexpected kindness despite his wrongdoing, the weight of his indifference bore down even harder.
“My bones aren’t as brittle as yours, old man.” A smile spread across your face, the relief of a genuine conversation lifting the tension that had been weighing on you all day. “I think I’ll live.”
Joel rolled his eyes at the nickname.
“Speaking of,” you added, a playful gleam in your eyes, “what’s an old guy like you doing out so late?”
Your attempt at making small talk and a joke fell flat as Joel’s expression soured. The events of his shift replayed in his mind, only adding to the pit of worry in his stomach.
“Work,” he said simply.
“Me too,” you sighed. “It never gets better, does it?”
“Don’t think so.”
The conversation ended there, the soft melody of a country song filling the car as you bobbed your head to the beat. The thought of the day behind you brought a wave of exhaustion to both of you, the prospect of how you were going to get home creeping back into your mind.
You could take the bus?
Maybe call up a coworker or a friend?
Neither option was particularly appealing. With a sigh, you turned your attention back to the man next to you. In the short half hour you’d known him, your initial thoughts had changed drastically from his less-than-ideal first impression.
While the memory of your wrecked car still lingered, so did the reminder of your own fault in this situation. It was something best left to the insurance companies to handle, the previous anger dissipated. The coming weeks of ridesharing and public transportation wouldn’t be ideal, but at least you had a ride home tonight.
Your eyes lingered on the graying man next to you. His eyes were fixed on the road, glancing occasionally at his speedometer. The tension in his jaw had faded, his face more relaxed, weighed down by the exhaustion that was evident in both of you. His hair was messy, and you briefly recalled him running a hand through it when he first exited the truck—probably a nervous habit that had turned into a kind of permanent bedhead.
Despite his somewhat rough exterior—soiled, calloused hands, mud-streaked clothes, weathered skin adorned with scars and sun-kissed freckles from years of hard labor—staring at him for too long made a warmth spread to your cheeks.
The attempt to distract yourself from your car had worked a little too well.
You quickly pulled your gaze away from his face—hopefully before he noticed—and turned your attention elsewhere. His short-sleeve, button-up work shirt clung to his arms, biceps flexing as they stretched the fabric. His hands, strong and capable, gripped the wheel with ease, barely needing to look at it as his focus remained ahead. You watched as he took the exit, smoothly navigating the almost circular turn, his gaze not shifting from the road. Without turning his head, he effortlessly merged, the awareness of his surroundings second nature—an instinct gained over decades behind the wheel.
“Fairview or Jackson?” Joel’s voice cut through your thoughts.
Heat crept up your face as you whipped your head to the side, eyes landing on the familiar split in the road. “Fairview—for another eight miles.”
You knew exhaustion was setting in from the way your mind raced. Your unblinking stare drifted back to Joel, taking in details that anger had blurred before. Maybe it was the proximity, the sleep deprivation, the whirlwind of emotions—or all of the above—that sent warmth trailing lower. You shifted uncomfortably, legs brushing against each other.
Anything to distract yourself.
“What do you do for work?” you blurted, wincing at how dumb you sounded.
Joel huffed a quiet laugh. “You sure you’re not concussed, kid? Might need to take you to the hospital.”
You groaned, slouching into the seat. “Just trying to make conversation…”
His amusement lingered as he adjusted his grip on the wheel. “Been in construction pretty much my whole life. Started right after high school. Had other plans, but…” He exhaled through his nose. “Had Sarah young, so I did what I had to. Hard work, but I’d do anything to provide for my girl.”
Your gaze flicked to his hands, catching the glint of a passing streetlamp. No ring. No tan line.
You shook your head. Why did that even matter?
This man had run you off the road. He was just driving you home, and after tonight, you’d never see him again. No reason to get caught up in things that didn’t concern you.
“What about you?” Joel asked. “What do you do for work?”
You blinked, surprised he’d bothered to ask. His eyes left the road for the first time that night, meeting yours expectantly.
“I work at a bank,” you scoffed. “Exciting, I know. Not a teller, just… office stuff. Behind-the-scenes.”
Joel smirked. “Can’t relate. I’m shit at math.”
The warmth in his voice sent your brain short-circuiting for a moment. His smile—subtle but real—stood out in the dim glow of the dashboard. The soft crinkle at the corners of his eyes, the creased lines on his forehead—despite the exhaustion in his face, he looked…warm.
You cleared your throat. “I am too.” You laughed. “I’m honestly shocked I haven’t tanked the place yet. Not that I’ll have much time to—I’ll probably get fired soon.”
Joel chuckled. “Talking like that, I can see why.”
You shot him a playful glare. “I’ll have you know, I’m actually good at my job.”
“You sure?” His eyes flicked to you, amused.
You nodded, lips curling into a smile. “I just don’t see my boss being too happy about me missing a few days until I can find a ride to work.”
Something shifted in Joel’s expression. His lips pressed into a thin line, eyes glazing over as he turned his attention back to the road.
He was thinking.
Then, simply—
“I can take you.”
You blinked. “What?”
“You heard me.” His grip tightened slightly on the wheel. “Unless you really wanna get fired..”
The initial temptation almost had you saying yes before your brain could fully process the offer. It was a kind gesture, but the thought of inconveniencing him—forcing him to carpool you to work every day—made you pause.
Then your eyes met his.
You should’ve known better. Should’ve recognized this for what it was—just a man doing the right thing, easing whatever moral strain the accident had put on him. But his stare held you captive, and for a moment, logic blurred.
Normally, you’d be panicking. Snapping at whoever was behind the wheel to keep their eyes on the road. But with Joel, you didn’t. Confidence radiated from him—not in a cocky or arrogant way, but the kind that came from experience, from years of knowing exactly what he was doing.
There was something in his gaze—something that mirrored what you felt deep in your stomach. A flicker of hesitation, a reluctance to let the night end. A reason to keep seeing each other.
He wanted to see you again too.
No. That was delusional.
The combination of exhaustion and your embarrassing need to get laid had clearly fried your brain. You were sitting here, crushing on a man at least twenty years your senior—someone’s father for god’s sake.
But you did need a ride to work.
You exhaled, glancing up at the moon before muttering, “Only if you’re sure. I don’t want to be a burden. I know it’s hard for someone your age to remember so many things.” The quip slipped out before you could stop yourself, a flimsy attempt to break the tension—at least, the tension you felt.
Joel turned slightly, failing to hide his grin. “Not more than I’ve been.” Then, after a beat, “Unless you keep it up with the jokes. Might find yourself in the same place as your car.” He paused. “Sweetheart.”
Your heart stuttered.
The nickname had driven you crazy earlier in the night—condescending, demeaning. But now?
Now it had you looking away, pressing your legs together in a weak attempt to ignore the heat spreading through you.
And Joel paused.
Why did he pause?
He’d said it so easily before, like it meant nothing. But now, there was something different in the way it left his mouth—like he almost caught it before it slipped out.
You swallowed, shifting in your seat. “The jokes come free with the ‘totaling my car’ deal.”
“Lucky me.” His voice was thick with sarcasm.
You hesitated for a second, then narrowed your eyes. “What’s in it for you?”
Joel raised a brow. “What?”
“I don’t need a pity ride.”
His lips parted slightly before he shook his head, rubbing a hand over his jaw. Whatever ran through his mind, he wasn’t letting it slip.
He smirked, settling instead for, “Maybe I just wanna see if you’re always this annoying.”
Your breath caught. The way his voice dipped—the way his eyes flicked to your face, searching for the smallest twitch of a smile—it made something coil tight in your stomach.
You didn’t fight the grin tugging at your lips.
“Or,” Joel continued, smirking, “maybe I’m not so convinced you don’t got that concussion.”
“Oh, hush.” You rolled your eyes, giving his arm a playful shove.
The teasing had shifted, the edge of frustration softening into something lighter. You didn’t know where this boldness was coming from—flirting with a stranger like this—but he wasn’t stopping you. If anything…was he returning it?
You bit your lip, gaze flicking anywhere but him. Then, before you could think better of it— “I get run off the road by a handsome stranger and you expect me to play it cool?”
Joel cleared his throat—definitely caught off guard.
“That right?”
His voice—low, steady, unreadable—sent a ripple of uncertainty through you. You shifted in your seat, suddenly aware of how small the space between you felt. Had you misread the moment?
The air thickened. His gaze held steady, the weight of it pressing into you, testing you.
You swallowed. Nodded.
A beat passed. Then another.
And finally, a smirk. “Guess you’ve made up your mind then.”
Joel let the words settle before tilting his head, eyes still locked on you. “This handsome stranger gets to drive you to work ‘til you get a new car.” He threw your words back at you, mocking—but not unkind. You exhaled a laugh, the tension giving way to something else entirely.
You let out a nervous chuckle. “Oh, so now you’re deciding for me?”
He shook his head slightly. “Never said that.” He paused. “You just don't sound too opposed to the idea. Choice is all yours, honey.”
His voice had deepened just slightly at the last word, slow and deliberate.
Your pulse thrummed in your ears.
“And if I say no?” You challenged.
Joel chuckled lowly, sending a shiver up your spine. “You said it yourself—you’d be out of a job. And my company.”
You scoffed. “Can’t tell which one I’d be more grateful to miss out on.”
He smirked. “Better for me, sweetheart. You’re too much of a distraction anyway.”
Your breath hitched.
He adjusted his grip on the wheel, the tension thick in the space between you. His gaze flicked to you again, raking you up and down in a way that made your skin prickle with heat.
The truck jolted as he slowed, bringing the conversation to a halt. The school’s looming brick silhouette glowing under the buzzing street lamps, moths greedily swarming the light. The road, littered with potholes, sent a rough shudder through the truck as the tires fought for traction.
“Take this right,” you murmured. Joel turned down the music, his focus shifting, and you swallowed against the lump in your throat.
“It’s the third one on the left.”
He pulled into your driveway, cutting the headlights as the truck settled into park. The night air was thick and quiet, the world outside still.
Neither of you moved.
The truck rolled back slightly, settling into the incline, and for the first time all night, there was no tension, no urgency—just the unspoken weight of exhaustion pressing into the silence between you.
And still, neither of you seemed in a rush to break it.
You barely noticed the way Joel shifted in his seat, full of anticipation. His hands flexed around the wheel, the tension in his knuckles mirroring the unspoken energy hanging between you. Your mind raced through the events of the night, trying to make sense of how this even began—how a collision turned into something so unexpectedly charged.
Not that you were complaining.
You had at least a week of one-on-one time with Joel and that realization sent your heart stuttering against your ribs. This ride had already escalated in ways you hadn’t predicted, and now your thoughts wandered, imagining the possibilities of the next.
Maybe you were reading too much into it.
Maybe you weren’t.
Shaking yourself from the haze, you reached for the door handle. “I should get going.” The lump in your throat made it harder to get the words out, especially with the way Joel’s eyes flicked to yours, steady and unreadable.
You clutched your bag to your side, gripping it like an anchor, grounding yourself in the reality that—somehow—your subtle advances had gone far more successfully than you expected.
The overhead light flooded the car as the door clicked open, the night air brushing against your skin. Your fingers curled around the handle, your balance slightly off-kilter from the nerves running through your veins.
You barely had time to register the movement before warmth encased your wrist.
Joel’s hand.
Firm. Steady. Completely engulfing yours.
Your breath hitched.
“Already forgot about our deal?”
His voice was smooth, tinged with amusement.
Before you could process it, he gave a gentle tug, pulling you back into the seat just enough that your face was level with his again. You kept the door ajar, caught between the instinct to flee and the undeniable pull of his presence.
His eyes searched yours, taking in any flicker of hesitation, any nervous shift of your body. His fingers, still wrapped around your arm, traced the goosebumps rising beneath his touch.
He smirked at his effect on you.
But the amusement didn’t erase the conflict in his mind.
You had just met, and the circumstances weren’t exactly the most flattering on his part. He had hit your car. He–an older man–had insisted on driving you. And now, here you were—breathless, your full attention on him, hanging onto his every word.
It was dangerous.
Tempting.
And guilt-inducing.
He didn’t let go.
Joel swallowed, jaw tightening as he weighed the situation. Maybe this was just harmless flirting on your end. Maybe his immediate attraction to you had made him think otherwise. Maybe it was nothing more than a fleeting moment, a late-night illusion spun by exhaustion and circumstance.
Still, he wasn’t ready to let you go.
Not yet.
His voice came quieter this time, deliberate. “What time do you have work tomorrow?”
“Joel—”
“It’s not up for discussion, sweetheart.” His grip didn’t tighten, but the firmness in his voice left no room for argument. “What time?”
You sighed, knowing there was no use fighting him on this. “Eight.”
Joel clicked his tongue, considering. “I’ll be here at seven-thirty.”
You blinked. “Joel, don’t you have work too?” A bubbling anxiety began to brew endless questions in your mind. “How are you gonna-”
“Don’t worry about it. Just be outside.”
You gave him one last look, searching for any hesitation, any sign that this was some kind of moral obligation rather than something he actually wanted to do. But his gaze was unwavering, he seemed absolute.
Finally, you relented with a soft sigh. “Yeah, okay, whatever. I’ll see you at seven-thirty.”
A flicker of something unreadable crossed his face. His lips parted slightly as if he had something else to say—but instead, he just gave a slow nod.
“I’ll be here.”
The truck creaked as you lifted yourself from the seat, your shoes landing against the driveway with a soft thud. You adjusted your bag against your chest, the cool night air nipping at your skin.
Joel watched you, his hands still gripping the wheel, his knuckles still tight, as if holding himself back from saying more.
You hesitated, slowing your steps as you departed.
Say something. Anything. Don’t make this weird.
Before you could, his window rolled down. His tired, gruff voice cut through the silence.
“Get some sleep, kiddo.”
You whipped around, startled by the sudden shift in demeanor. He had spent the whole night teasing you—flustering you—but now, the words were softer. Almost… affectionate.
Your lips curled into a grin. “Don’t hit any more cars, old man!”
His chuckle followed you as you disappeared inside.

Why is mark so grumpy with Halsin? He could be a great help, he's awesome with kids!
1. Mark always grumpy XD
2. He uncomfortable
With how long this has become I aint gonna be like ‘you find out’ like I was gonna be cause I aint gotta CLUE what Im doin anymore with how long things’ll take to happen now so I’ll explain.
In this moment, Mark is grumpy cause he just did a lotta fightin and a dozen peeps popped up when he just wants to sleep.
Mark’s dilemma over time is gonna be that him and Halsin are very similar in many ways and to Mark he can only see that dreadfully. A replacement if he gets too worn out or useless. Mark’s greatest fear is to be useless, not needed, not enough, so in that mindset it’s not so much as grumpy but distant and avoiding Halsin is whats its gonna be. The anger comes from when that distance is not kept, doesn’t help Halsin in many things and to most people is very sex based and Mark is absolutely not. Biggest reason when Astarion and Gale get on his nerves the most is when anything like that is brought ‘round cause in game they were clingy as shittttt till later(Gale never let go cause it was back with the bug of him bein in a perpetual romance state but eh). So yea Halsin and Mark are shallow wise a great pair, but Mark has deeper issues that makes that far from truth.
And for me myself I gotta bit of bias due to while I played the game personally Halsin was uncomfortable. I did not deal with Haslin, he’s a nice dude, but it’s the undertone of em I wanted to avoid a lot. I myself not bein a romance/sexytime person with people I haven’t know for at least years, I hated/avoided that stuff like the plague and it was still always there. Im better now cause I’ve now dealt with the party for over a year now in comic form and find things more funny and have relaxed, but Halsin Ive avoided. Hard to explain honestly, just a feelin i had and have. just left em at camp most of the time so never dealt with em anyway. But people across all my accounts have constantly been lookin forward to Mark and Halsin Duo and I do plan on havin him around more then what I had in my game cause story wise, he is good for Mark in a growing way which THAT we’ll get to and you’ll find out XD
There ya go! BAM explained to the best of knowledge

𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐤𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐝𝐞𝐛𝐭.
pick a hiromi higuruma to know about your karmic debt.

pile 1 → pile 2 → pile 3
Pick the photo you feel the most drawn to and please remember that this is a general reading so take what resonates!!
𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝟏:
𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞, 𝐣𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞, 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞:
this pile is confusing me cause one, there are multiple messages and two, im not exactly sure what is the 'debt' that you owe but im seeing more of what is happening to you as a result.
you feel like you have lost all the structure in your well-balanced life due to some sort of authority figure taking control of you and your decisions, you have this feeling of helplessness and you keep thinking that "if i had control i would have achieved so much by now but things aren't aligning and i keep delaying my plans due to XYZ not making better decisions and life choices and i have to suffer the consequences of their actions while they get to live life easily while i settle" or something along the lines of that, (I was getting an even bigger message because i felt like you finally got a chance to communicate) you have bigger plans that you want to achieve and you know there is more to your life than what is in front of you but this feeling of not accomplishing your goals or what if you don't is eating you alive. for some of you, this may be due to you putting "minimal" effort in it and hoping that it everything magically works out but that is not the case sometimes. you let outside influence set you back and lose your will to progress in other areas as well. (i believe that it is okay to "fail" in certain things cause to me rejection is redirection and there is no harm in trying again) the advice here is simple; create and follow your path and put effort in, motivation will help you but only for a few days, what you need is discipline. do not let fear and your negative self-image hold you back from taking the direction that will take you in your desired direction. i don't know why but Santigo's journey from the book Alchemist came to my so if you haven't read that book please read it cause it might help you. learn to be patient with your decisions doesn't matter if they are long-term or short-term because regardless of that, they have consequences (our Karam) and it is important for you to not be impulsive to feel some sort of control over the decisions in your life. find a healthier attitude in your life and watch things change for the better, it is a slow process but it is worth it.
overall, the message is asking you to self-evaluate yourself and see if your actions have led to these consequences and what is that you are not learning. you always have a choice to make and it is a bitter pill to swallow but you can not blame others for it. i keep thinking about this dialogue said by King Baldwin IV, "When you stand before God, you cannot say, "But I was told by others to do this." Or that, "Virtue was not convenient at the time." This will not suffice. Remember that.”
𝐩𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝟐:
𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐥, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞:
the message is similar to some parts of pile 1 so if you felt drawn to it, do check it out.
some of you could have been knowingly or unknowingly avoiding the accountability of your actions. life feels unjust and cruel cause of outside forces but remember to maintain balance and stay true to your higher self because the way you will react to these situations is gonna create your karma. im seeing that you will have a chance to fix your negative karma into a more positive one. heal yourself and realize that nothing outside of you has power over you, you are the one who decides how you accept, feel, think and do the things in your life. learn from your lessons and grow through the experience instead of refusing to accept anything. this will set you free. the more you neglect it the bigger it will get. it may feel as if you are trapped but remember that sometimes it is an illusion that we create in our heads out of fear of both, failing (the 'now what will i do?' feeling) and succeeding (the 'then what will i do?' feeling) detachment with the results might help you with this. i keep thinking of this saying in Quaran, "kun faya kun" which means "be, and it is!" life is not simple for anyone and hardships are also a part of our journey. it may feel like it is easy to avoid it and run but for how long will you do that? you have the free will; either to repeat those same mistakes and hold on to the things that are no longer helping you or find something new for yourself. i don't know how to write this in a way that will make sense but the message im getting is that the karmic debt that you owe to the universe is just rising above this and making peace with yourself and your surroundings. put your energy into things that you know will help you instead of being manipulated by outside influence remember that you are your own person before you are anyone to someone else.
𝐩𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝟑:
𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐧, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐥 𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞, 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞, 𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐭.:
this pile feels a little heavy cause this includes past life karma (for some it could also be generational) and im pretty sure many of you are already seeing or sensing a pattern of past mistakes happening again and again and you feel like regardless of what you will do the outcome will be the same. the message here is that it is not entirely true but rather an illusion that you have created. you have your free will to continue it or change it. it is a slow and long process with lots of ups and downs as it is a cycle of multiple lives and not something that can fixed magically overnight. taking the shorter and easier route won't help you. it is important to heal, connect with yourself and trust your instincts. you may feel like the outside guidance is confusing you more rather than giving you clarity. the answer to this is simple; it is within you, catered to you since it is YOUR life and YOUR karma. you are becoming aware of the things that make you feel so restricted and some are even working on limiting the control others have on you, for others, the motivation is rising (if not use this as a sign) learn from the previous mistakes and avoid them. cause you do have a big purpose in your current life regarding this karmic cycle and you are being called out to make the necessary decisions to bring the change. You are not being punished for your past or someone else's mistakes, you are meant to learn a few life lessons to grow. for some reason, i felt picking out separate cards as a guidance message for this pile; your self-doubt is creating an illusion in you and you are letting it win. things get hard now and then but we shouldn't give in to our negative energy and insecurities. show determination and willpower, there is a strong desire in you to succeed and you need to execute it and it will be yours.
thank you so much for reading !!!

What bothers me after all this drama is that those users that made the posts calling out the type of fics they were bothered with, didnt actually include like a list of those fics (probably to avoid an entire purge and hatred), and everyone in the comments of those posts just suddenly at a flip of a switch, all could only think about one. single. story...and that was the 2 part fic from the now deactivated account.
So for a fic which diverges from canon by having Aventurine NOT go through the entire rollercoaster of drama and be given a chance at a normal life, everyone and their mother jumped to bully the writer. Please, gimme a break, he could've still become the same charismatic gambler we all know and love, just he would've had an oh idk- a little support system given by the person that got him out of a much crappy life? Seriously, how many fics AREN'T out there which diverge at one point from canon?! Or, even better, ignore the canon completely and they are their own thing! HOW MANY- A LOT OF THEM ARE!
It's like they were bothered that there can be a "what if Aventurine was saved before he went through the rest of that hell?", as if his canon story is the only thing that matters and shouldn't be changed at all - THE MAN IS IN SHAMBLES. HE WANTED TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM LIFE. And I cant be the only one who doesnt believe that him, as he grow up, didn't wish for someone to come to his aid, to take him out of there, but the more time passed, the more hope he lost and he just "well, guess I'll do this on my own". He. Has. No. One. To. Talk. To. Without. Him. Hidding. Behind. The. Persona. He. Created. No one.
Anon you have said exactly everything that I wanted to hear ‼️
(They all started this mess so I’m not gonna stop till I get my point straight across their faces)
These people CANNOT tell me that Aventurine didn’t want to be saved. They CANNOT tell me he didn’t hope for a helping hand throughout this whole hell.
The IPC had failed him and his race from the very beginning when they failed to protect Sigonia IV and the Avgins from the Katicans, and yet I still see people saying that creating a fic where he was saved is disregarding his effort in surviving like pls- my girl… he wanted to DIE to be with his family again and he’s literally in the clutches of the very same company that FAILED him and his kind. His life is literally in their hands and NO ONE would ever want to be at the mercy of the very same people who failed you.
He’s tired. He thinks so lowly of himself. He thinks he has no worth. He has no self-esteem.
All of that could’ve been avoided if someone had helped him, way before his neck was branded by the slave mark, or even during the time he was enslaved.
Like you said, there are already tons of fics that diverts from the canon story of the character into something that is almost disregarding it, so why is that an issue now?
We all love him the way he is, but don’t you think it’s also insensitive to say that when he himself hated the process or events that transpired to become what he is now?
I give him credit for his hardwork and efforts for staying alive and getting past the hell, but that cost him EVERYTHING. He survived, but he thinks so lowly of himself. He still think he’s only worth 60 tanbas. He didn’t refute Ratio and Sparkle’s insult. He throws his own body on every gamble because he thinks that’s his only worth… and now a simple harmless fic that aimed to provide him a normal life free from that tragedy was frowned upon by everyone just because the reader “bought him as a slave”.
#aventurine x reader#aventurine#hsr aventurine#shame on those people who bullied that author#this is just unreasonable#y’all talk about morals then bullies the heck out of people

In your fairy tail will Laxus be different, guy was too much of a prick to accept his change of heart or that "deep down, he's a good guy", he threatened to kill the entire city just because he had daddy issues.
i have so many opinions ive been avoiding answering this until i had time to write an essay so here you go.
So, i personally, feel like fairy tail has a really weird habit of having characters do extremely irredeemable shit, say several times that the character is enjoying what their doing, then have their character do a 180 several arcs later because after fighting fairy tail they just saw the light or some shit.
Like i was rewatching the Battle of Fairy Tail arc and lauxus is just... so awful? and the way they try to redeem him with the spell shit not working like sir he was going to kill everyone maybe we dont give him a pass?
all this to say heres how I would rewrite the battle of fairy tail:
Ok so i'd keep Laxus' resentment of Makorav over the banishment of his dad, the only thing keeping laxus in ft is knowing one day hes going to inherit the guild. He works his ass off to become as powerful as he can in order to live up to that legacy but also...
He hates it there.
Specifically, the ones who grew up in the guild (ie erza, mira, natsu, gray, etc) because he always felt like makorav embraced them more than laxus.
So he works hard and keeps his head down, picking fights more out of resentment than anything the other guild members did. I think some of the older guild members who remember Ivan are very wary of Laxus but not afraid just... keeping an eye out.
Laxus reads it as pity.
Once Laxus grows up, hes arrogant, entitled, and selfish. He puts his everything into becoming the best and surrounds himself with yes men (the thunder legion im getting to them) who boost his ego.
Then one day he overhears some fairy tail members spreading a rumor that Makorav is going to retire...
And Erza is going to become the next guild master.
And it fucking breaks something inside him.
I think Laxus resents Erza the most because its just so clear Makorav favors her over everyone. Shes so perfect and humble and honorable and...
Everything Laxus isn't.
So he sets up a plan. He's going to take the guild by force.
ok so it happens basically the same as canon right up until the end. Before the timer runs out Laxus demands Makorav hand the guild over to him before all these people get hurt.
Makorav shows up to confront laxus and instead of doing or saying anything, he just quietly walks up to laxus and stands in front of him.
Laxus starts to panic and yells about how the old man has to give up or everyone is going to die. Outside fairy tail is taking down the dome but its not enough.
Laxus grows more erratic but Makorav says nothing.
The timer runs out and nothing happens.
Laxus sighs in defeat. He's been caught.
He was bluffing.
See the plan laxus and the thunder legion made was simple, they'd prove themselves the strongest by beating the entire guild and once everyone was taken out, makorav would have no choice to hand the guild over since no one was left to stop the thunder dome.
the body link magic still hurt any attackers just to make them seem more real, but they were only really there to pressure Makorav into caving.
Laxus didnt account for his grandpa having faith in him.
However the power grab couldn't be ignored, attacking the guild and even just threatening the city leads to laxus getting banished.
The thunder legion decide to leave fairy tail but laxus forbids them from following him anymore, not feeling worthy of being their leader anymore. So the thunder legion kinda just go off on their own as a trio for the time being.
Idk if this feels lame to others but to me its better than having laxus fully believe hes going to kill everyone and go through with it (even if the spell didnt work) only to redeem him later. It just feels weird to me? idk im not a great writer but this is just my lil rewrite.
as a treat have my bickslow redesign
shhh ik its not v good im still work shopping it but this is like, my third attempt so just take it for now

Hello Everyone!
* . . *. . . *. . . *. * . * 🌙 . *. . * .
I decided to compile a list of some of my favorite manifestations that I’ve gotten since I was last regularly active on this account. Feel free to send asks if you’d like me to elaborate on any of them, as I won’t be doing too much of that here :)
* . . *. . . *. . . *. * . * 🌙 . *. . * .
I. PHYSICAL
Clear Skin
A no brainer, I feel, in the manifesting community. I was one of those kids growing up who got acne before anyone else, it was persistent all throughout my adolescence and into adulthood. One day I just got sick of all the burning, itching, dryness, oiliness, and overall feeling of how much I hated my own appearance. So, I gave up. I literally decided I did not care and if my skin was meant to clear up it simply would and I left it at that a few years ago.
Cue to now, I constantly get compliments on how smooth and radiant my skin is. People always comment on how it looks bouncy and natural dewy. Go figure
Tattoos
I’d always wanted tattoos but was scared to go alone and intimidated by the prices. I remember adding a few tattoos I was inspired by into my yearly manifesting Pinterest board (I can elaborate on this later if you would like) and sort of forgetting about it. Since then, I’ve had 3 opportunities with different friends and artists for cheap yet lovely flash tattoos. I’m currently working on a more detailed piece and simply waiting to manifest an artist closer to my house to do the job :)
Straight Teeth
A work in progress. I had a very unfortunate snaggle tooth and essentially zigzagging lower teeth as a child, went through the fun of traditional braces, and at the end of it my teeth never got 100% fully straight when they removed them. My retainer stopped fitting shortly after, and my teeth went back to a (thankfully not as bad but) similar state. I’d always been self conscious of my smile and it got to the point where I’d avoid opening my mouth at all for irrational fear of judgment. I was too old to be on my parents insurance and did not have the funds to pay treatment as an adult.
Lo and behold, through my job I was able to get name brand Invisalign for a fraction of the cash price and my smile (again, while still a work in progress) has never been better. Apart from the physical change through the aligners, Ive also manifested them to be whiter and healthier when they definitely weren’t before.
Tweaking Facial Features
I’m gonna just put them in one category, but I essentially tweaked my eyebrows, lashes, eyes, lips, and nose. Nothing super dramatic, sorry to disappoint, but I always thought they fit my face just not in the size they came in if that makes sense? I realized recently that my eyebrows are incredibly sleek and well maintained for someone who doesn’t take care of them more than plucking them every few weeks. My lashes (when curled) are way longer than they’ve ever been, my nose is the slightest bit smaller and therefore more complimentary to my face, and my lips are poutier and nicer than before (they’re always hydrated and plump). I also noticed my face chiseled out a bit, as someone who has always had a rounded baby face, but that could’ve also just been long overdue for my age haha
Nicer Hands & Less Body Hair
Little about me, I’m Hispanic. So, my genetics lovingly gave me an abundance of thick and dark body hair all across the way. I’m not here to tell you being hairless is better than not because it genuinely should be up to you personally, but for ME it is a sensory issue having body hair (I hate the way it feels rubbing against clothes or catching in things ugh). Tmi but even my hands were quite hairy, with my arm hair thinning yet continuing to about halfway up the back of my hand.
Soon enough, using the same “fine I give up” mentality, I noticed that (while still hairy lol) my hair doesn’t grow in as thick not as much as it used to. I literally looked at my legs the other day and realized it’s been probably over a month since I’ve shaved them but the hair grew in all sparse which is super unusual. Same with my hands, my fingers no longer look knobby and and scrawny like they used to, but they are quite elegant and I’ve actually received recent compliments on them which made me have that realization.
Ideal Hair
This one isn’t too dramatic as I’ve always been blessed with thick and healthy hair, but more so the fact that I dyed and cut it myself at home quite frequently and yet no matter what I do to it it remains as healthy and thick as ever. I alone made the attempt to go nearly platinum blonde at home, meaning I was using volume 30(?) developer by myself with zero experience on actually bleaching my hair (I dyed it often but always got the bleaching done at a salon). I think I did a total of 3 sessions within a two week time span where I left the bleach on about an hour per session and not only did it come out unscathed, people regularly ask me what salon I had it done at because they apparently can’t tell it was an at home job lol
II. Material
this one will be a fast round !
iPad Pro & newer iPhone with 513GB for a fraction of the retail price
Brand new gaming PC & ideal gaming setup
Brand new Docs
Ideal jewelry
Ideal closet staples & ideal shoes
A new car, partially gifted
Collection of amazing perfumes, all gifted
A diploma I definitely didn’t deserve because I should have failed it tbh lol
Fairy lights for my room, gifted
My perfect shades of makeup staples, all gifted 🫶🏼
Art supplies & kits, mostly gifted
A book I’d been dying to read, gifted
A random $2 pay raise I didn’t even ask for & that wasn’t due within that time frame (but am definitely not complaining about lol)
III. Miscellaneous
another fast round because I have to be somewhere and also my brain is blanking listing these out haha
The light is always green for me or about to turn green, this one never fails me and my friends/family all think I’m just really lucky 🍀
Even when I just rolled out of bed, I look amazing and even my panic lazy outfits look great
People are intimidated yet awed by me, I get a lot of people surprised when I’m nice to them and get told I always look busy and they don’t want to disturb my peace when in reality I just didn’t wanna talk to anyone haha. This one is important as someone who’s always had a “cutesy” demeanor who really dislikes social interactions
I always smell good, has saved me when I run out of the house and realize in a panic I didn’t use enough deodorant lmao. It sounds like a joke but I swear Ive even had people who I know to be brutally honest smell me and I’ve never been told I smell bad
Going to concerts, raves, and clubs (again, I was always socially awkward and didn’t have friends who were willing to do these things with me). On that note…
… a new friend group! I love my childhood friends but we are all a bunch of hermits and I really went through an era where I wanted to have fun and enjoy my 20’s, hence this new group of the loveliest and craziest people I absolutely love 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
Trips to NYC & San Diego. Before I discovered manifesting I rarely ever left my city, let alone the state. The trips were everything I could’ve hoped for and I’m currently manifesting about 3 more this year!
Passing grades in classes I definitely didn’t earn them in 😬
Money, specifically money Ive saved. I’m not sharing the quantity just for personal safety reasons, but I will say I probably have more money saved alone than all my friends do combined
* . . *. . . *. . . *. * . * 🌙 . *. . * .
So, there’s that! I’m actively manifesting many other things as well, specifically a new high paying job, my dream apartment in Seattle, and a significant other as I’m finally in a place where I feel ready for a relationship 🫶🏼 mark my words I’ll have a success post about these soon >:)
Let me know if you guys have any questions, and comment below your favorite manifestations so we can all inspire each other! -love, Blorbo

💉💊🗑️Addicted To Trash🗑️💊💉
Food scraps take up the most landfill space in the US. Think about that for a moment & process it. As much food insecurity as there is in the US. As many people that die from poverty & from hunger.
The millions of children that face an empty refrigerator & empty pantry every day after school. That don't have money for lunch and don't have access to a free lunch or lunch voucher program.
The parents that skip meals multiple days in a row so that their children can eat.
The sugar sandwiches, cereal with water, knocking on neighbors doors begging for food.
All so Americans that have more than they'll ever need can throw out more than they can ever eat while millions are food insecure and starve within the same country.
Buy loose fruits & vegetables at a local food market, buy food with minimal packaging, only purchase groceries & food items that you actually need & will use & avoid delivery, take out, fast food, fast casual, eating at a sit down restaurant, coffee & donut shops.
Per Google: Food waste accounts for 6% of global greenhouse gas emissions.
According to the Environmental Protection Agency, food scraps are the number one item sent to landfills in the United States.
Food waste accounts for 22% of municipal waste in the U.S.
We discard more food than any other country, even as the number of people experiencing food insecurity grows.
Food waste, which includes everything from meat and fish to fruit and vegetables, can take anywhere between one month and a year to decompose.
However, food decomposition can take longer in a landfill while releasing greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
Americans are addicted & brainwashed. You can literally go days and even weeks as an American during hotter months without encountering air that hasnt been artificially cooled. Brainwashed! Im 42 and my grandparents in rural Georgia that I visited and stayed with for a month every year as a kid didnt have air conditioning. Yet todays modern American life claims it isnt possible yet I did it for a month every year in my youth.
Per Google: Air conditioning, heating & refrigerators are the biggest wasters of energy in American households. The cooling industry is important, but it is also incredibly polluting – accounting for around 10% of global CO2 emissions. That is three times the amount produced by aviation and shipping combined. And as temperatures around the world continue to rise due to climate change, the demand for cooling will increase too.
The average American sets their AC to 68 to 72 degrees which is fucking absurd and ridiculous.
Set air conditioning to 78 to 80 when you are home and 80 when you are asleep and not home.
I set my AC over the summer even during the current heat wave to 80 — I dont have central air in my 1 bedroom apartment, I have wall units in my living room & bedroom.
Use fans, wear light/minimal clothing or go naked inside your home (Ive done this) and drink 64+ ounces of water a day.
The average American keeps thermostat during winter at 72 to 80 degrees which is fucking absurd.
Per Google: Heat and air contributing to nearly half of a home’s energy usage. Today, 90% of American households have air-conditioning. America is addicted to home heating and cooling, consuming more energy for air-conditioning than the rest of the world combined.
Keep thermostat during cold months at 68 degrees. Layer clothing and wear blankets inside.
Per Google: In the same report, the I.E.A. predicted that worldwide energy use by air-conditioners would triple by 2050, “requiring new electricity capacity the equivalent to the combined electricity capacity of the United States, the E.U. and Japan today.”
The number of global cooling devices is estimated to increase from 3.6 billion to 9.5 billion by 2050, according to a report by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the IEA.
Without radical changes to the cooling industry, HFC emissions are projected to contribute warming equivalent to 20% of CO2 output in 2050, the UNEP report warns.
However, some say that refrigeration could be the number one way to reduce carbon emissions.
Per Google: Much of the world’s recent growth in cooling capability has been an adaptive response to global warming. The problem is self-perpetuating, because the electricity that refrigerators and air-conditioners run on is mostly generated by burning fossil fuels.
Part of the problem with refrigerants, however, is that much of the harm they cause is after we as consumers have finished using them. It occurs out of sight, and so largely out of mind.
Roughly 90% of refrigerant emissions occur at equipment’s end of life, according to Project Drawdown, a nonprofit that analyses climate solutions.
The most common HFC found in domestic fridges is HFC-134a, which has a global warming potential 3,400 times that of carbon dioxide. A typical fridge can contain between 0.05kg and 0.25kg of refrigerant, which if it leaks into the environment, the resulting emissions would be equivalent to driving 675km-3,427km (420-2,130 miles) in an average family-sized car.
Refrigerators are responsible for about 4% of a home's emissions, or 89 kg of CO2 per year.
The correlation between growth in efficiency and growth in consumption is not accidental.
Similarly to air conditioning & heating, if you've noticed a trend, just setting the temperature a few degrees higher/lower can make an extremely significant difference in terms of energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions & your contributions to climate change.
Do people care enough to change their respective thermostats just a few degrees?
Set your refrigerator to between 35 and 38°F, and your freezer to between 0 and 5°F.
A refrigerator that's 10°F colder can use up to 25% more energy.
Ironically, as climate change progresses further, our home heating and cooling needs will continue to increase in order to insulate us from extreme weather.
"Ironically" or by design?
Home heating is the single largest source of power consumption in the home, and air-conditioning is the third.
Further, air conditioning in the U.S. accounts for 5% of total energy consumption annually, and releases approximately 100 million tons of carbon dioxide into the air.
When we asked Americans whether they program or adjust their home thermostats before they leave the house, an overwhelming majority (73%) said they do not.
The solution to so much environmental damage caused by Americans ridiculously blasting their central AC & heat is right in front of their faces and is blindingly obvious yet the mindless ecocide continues.
Why? Because you don't want to be slightly unfuckingcomfortable?
Layered clothing + blankets & lower setting central heat = Winter
Lighter minimal clothing + fans + higher setting central air = Summer
It IS that easy.
I do it every summer & winter in my 1 bedroom apartment.
Why don't 73% of Americans?
Because they don't fucking feel like it, that's why.
Avoid disposable products & avoid single use products.
Avoid ordering delivery & takeout & avoid buying food & drinks at restaurants, fast casual, fast food as it produces single use containers, cups, straws, utensils, napkins.
Avoid food packaging.
If you buy prepackaged snacks, consider making them yourselves — homemade granola bars, pop tarts, trail mix recipes, etc. can easily be found on Pinterest.
•Replace plastic water bottles with water filter + stainless steel thermos bottle. •Buy items with less packaging. •Purchase reusable containers. •Minimalism — buy needs only, not wants. •Repair instead of replace items. •Buy refurbished tech & electronic devices. •Go paperless - paper accounts for 40% of landfills in the US - 40 fucking percent!
Makeup wipes take 100 years to decompose.
Stop using make up wipes & use water, soap & a face towel instead.
Clothes can take up to 40 years to decompose!
Stop buying new clothes.
Buy used clothes only when needed from thrift shops, consignment shops, Goodwill, online thrift shops, Depop, Mercari, Poshmark.
The micro mininskirt I am wearing now is from Wet Seal and I got it when I was 17 over 25 years ago.
Outside of a missing button, it is good as new and I wear it all the time.

Stop with fast fashion.
Stop buying Shein, Fashion Nova, Romwe, Zaful. Stop going to the mall. Stop buying Forever 21 and H&M. Stop going to department stores. Stop buying Macys. Stop shopping at outlets. Stop buying from Nordstrom Rack. Stop buying clothes on Wish & Amazon.
Use and reuse the clothes you already have.
When they are no longer wearable, buy used clothes only — never new — from a thrift shop, consigment store, Goodwill or Depop, Poshmark or Mercari.
Stop buying new clothes!
Batteries can contaminate soil indefinitely -- use rechargeable batteries.
Sanitary pads are made of plastic & can take up to 800 years to decompose. 800 years!
Replace sanitary pads with period underwear (I use Proof) with ob tampons without applicators (what I do) or period cups with a stem to remove & insert (boil & sterilize after each cycle) or menstrual discs.

Pads & plastic tampon applicators have toxins, chemicals & pesticides that have been proven to cause excessive menstrual bleeding (heavy periods since 11 stopped when I switched from Always pads & Tampax tampons with plastic applicators to Proof Period Underwear & ob tampons without applicators), uterine cancer, fibroids, tumors & other reproductive issues.
Washer machines are also a problem.
Dryer sheets arent biodegradable — stop using them.
Doing laundry in a washer machine releases microplastics into the environment which ends up endangering, harming & killing oceanic creatures and polluting the ocean.
Handwash clothes when you can.
Do not own a washer and dryer as you will be encouraged to wash laundry more due to it conveniently being located inside your home.
Instead, opt for a living space without a washer and dryer (like my 1 bedroom apartment that Ive lived in for 10 years).
Limit trips to the laundromat to once a month or once every other month. Rewear clothing.
You dont have to “throw away clothes as dirty” after one use.
If it isnt stained or smelling, rewear it repeatedly.
Only go to the laundromat when you are out of clean clothes to wear.
I go about once a month to every two months.
If you already have a washer and dryer in your home, limit your use of them as much as possible.
Disposable diapers take 500 years to decompose.
500 fucking years.
Use cloth diapers.
Per Google: Yard waste is one of the top ten waste items in US landfills.
Per Google:
By weight, grass is the biggest component of yard waste, averaging half of all yard waste.
Leaves and brush each provide one quarter.
Either dont have a yard & dont live in a house as living in a house is itself wasteful, a climate change driver & overconsuming energy to simply even heat & cool such a large space.
Or if for some bizarre reason you feel you "need" a house or if you already own a house with a yard, do the following per junkloggers.com: When you mow, “grasscycle” by leaving grass clippings on your lawn instead of bagging then. The clippings will return nutrients to the soil instead of taking up space in landfills. Donate healthy plants that you want to replace to community gardens, parks and schools. Using recycled materials such as compost and recycled hardwood mulch help remove yard waste from landfills and reduces the “footprint” of your own landscape.
Follow the 5 Rs: •Refuse: Maximalism, consumerism, materialism & overconsumption, FOMO, sales & clearances, shiny new toy syndrome, shopping to impress others, trends, advertising that has intentional hypnotic messaging, includes brainwashing tactics, seductive messaging, endless repetition, psyops elements, psychological warfare to buy what they are advertising & selling. •Reuse: What you already have. •Reduce: What you buy & use therefore you will have less to throw away and recycle. •Repurpose: Fix broken glasses like I did, dont buy a new pair. I just bought a glasses repair kit for a few dollars versus wasting money on a new frame, new lenses & the fuel that would have been wasted to deliver the new pair of glasses to me. Repurpose gift bags & use reusable grocery bags as totes. Reuse junk mail and newspaper as gift wrap. •Recycle: Aluminum is indefinitely repurposable but takes 800 years to biodegrade. Wash out containers, check recycling numbers, separate items. Recycling uses oil!
Keep in mind that Exxon and the oil industry relentlessly promoted recycling before it became ubiquitious because oil is needed to recyle.
Recycling uses a huge amount of energy and is itself a contributor to climate change.
Its important to do all five Rs.
Dont just mindlessly buy use throw away recycle like big oil and capitalism endlessly brainwash you to do. All those times that you threw trash away as a kid in school, did you ever think where it was going? All those times your dad took the trash out and left it by the curb when you were young, did you ever think about where that trash was going? Did you ever think about landfills? Oceanic pollution & waste? Air pollution & air quality? Non biodegradable waste? Greenhouse gas emissions? Methane gas emissions? Landfills burning? Mountains of trash? Ofcourse not. If youre American, it was, out of sight out of mind. Im 42. When I was in school playing sports, it was throw out the empty plastic Gatorade bottle and back to softball practice. Back to track practice. Throw away trash, return lunch tray, on to my next class. Mindless. Brainwashed. Addicted to trash. Air quality near landfills is also poor and can be hazardous to humans and wildlife. The unwelcome sights, sounds, and smells of landfills make life unpleasant for nearby residents and reduce the land’s purpose. Overfull landfills may require clearing arable land and forests to create more room. Mindless. Brainwashed. Addicted to trash.

A plastic straw takes 400 years to decompose.
Did you ever think about that on your birthday at the McDonalds playground as a child as you sipped on your Hi-C Orange from your plastic straw?
Programmed.

Plastic wrap takes 1000 years to decompose.
Do you think about the amount of plastic used to wrap bottled water, packaged items, consumer goods? Or do you buy, consume, use, throw away?
Mind controlled.

Ziploc bags take 1000 years to decompose. Did you think about that as a kid in the cafeteria when you removed the PB&J sandwich that your mother made for you every day?
Brainwashed.

Stop vacationing - airplanes, cruises & automobiles are enormous drivers of climate change. Stay local - go to a library, state fair, amusement park, carnival, museum, science center, have a staycation - movie marathon at home etc, take a local class - dancing, pottery, painting, etc., visit local farms & parks.
Deprogram yourself from the belief that you need to take annual vacations, summer trips, tropical vacations, exotic vacations or that you “need to get away” —
Get away from what?
Zombified.

Avoid driving as much as you can. Automobiles and the fossil fuels to drive them are a huge contributor to climate change. Wherever possible, do not drive and use as minimal gas as you can. Walk, ride your bike or a scooter, skateboard, roller skate or rollerblade or take public transportation where available if you have to use a car try to carpool or rideshare. Question if you really have to go wherever youre driving and is it worth the additional contributions youre making to climate change.
Can you recreate wherever youre going at home? Can you watch the sporting event on TV, stream the concert, watch the movie when it releases to VOD? Do you need to meet up in person or can you do a video call on Twitch or Whatsapp if they are not a walkable distance from you? Can you cook instead of eating out? Can you take an online class vs driving to the class? Can you walk to a local food market vs driving to a grocery chain or big box retail store?
If you dont need to drive where youre going, dont drive.
There are millions of cars on the roads in America every day contributing endlessly to climate change so if you dont have to contribute dont and minimize your contributions as much as possible. If you can sell or donate your car then do so. If you live in an area with minimal public transportation, then drive it as little as possible.
Stop going out to just go out or socialize or be seen as its pointless & unnecessary.

Do your hair yourself and/or cut your hair off (I shave my head bald every 3 to 6 months) & stop driving to the hair salon.

Shave your eyebrows (what I do) and stop driving to the nail salon to get eyebrows waxed or threaded or stop shaping your eyebrows.
Stop painting your nails (what I do) or paint them yourself and stop driving to the nail salon.
Stop buying new stuff and stop driving to the mall.
Stop eating out and stop driving to restaurants.
Stop getting massages and stop going to massage parlors.
Go paperless wherever you can and stop going to the post office.
Stop going to bars and nightclubs, its pointless & a waste of time.
Eliminate bars, nightclubs, shopping malls, restaurants, movie theaters, hair salons, nail salons, massage parlors, post office, grocery stores, big box retail from your life and that should minimize the driving you do.

Dont have children.
By far, human beings are the biggest contributors to climate change so why would you ever willingly produce one (or more than one) given the amount of ecological destruction & climate change humans have already caused?
If everyone avoided having children, we could voluntarily make ourselves go extinct and save planet earth vs the current trajectory of the earth being inhabitable within 100 years and then humanity colonizing Mars and then other planets then destroying those planets in a few thousand years then moving on to the next.
Wash rinse repeat. Stop the cycle.
People are financially rewarded for ecocidal practices so this wont stop so we need to voluntarily stop ourselves and stop reproducing and stop endlessly propagating our species — human — that has been responsible for over 75k animal species going extinct, the destruction of the ozone layer, climate change, greenhouse gas emissions, endless landfills, deforestation, oceanic & air pollution, etc.
Leather shoes & rubber leather soles take 50 to 80 years to decompose.
Buy flats and wear them until they are unusable. Once that occurs, buy new flats.
You should only be doing this once every few years like I am.
If you stand at work, buy high quality sneakers and only replace when they are breaking down.
I havent bought shoes in over five years & sneakers in over ten years.
Cut hair off like I do and stop using any hair products.
I shave my head bald every 3 months and do not do any hair maintenance. I dont use shampoo, conditioner, grease, oil, moisturizer, hair wraps, brushes, etc and as you can see my hair is perfectly fine.

Buy refurbished tech & electronic devices.
Dont ever buy new.
Look up cobalt mines in Congo and how the materials to make batteries for cell phones, EVs, TVs etc (cobalt) is causing a genocide in Congo as it is the only country that has this mineral so Apple, Samsung, Tesla etc desperately need it for their devices.
Look up the warlords fighting over these mines and the civilians being murdered as a result.
Look up the conditions of the cobalt mines — they employ women and children, no protective gear is issued despite them working in underground mines, no labor laws so they are working 12 to 16 plus hour shifts up to seven days a week exposed to dangerous conditions, toxins, chemicals with no protective gear, clothing or eyewear, they are worked like absolute slaves and are dying in these mines.
They are literally dying for your pink iPhone.

Fuck IKEA. Stop buying furniture to impress people who don't give a fuck if you live or die much less what your fucking furniture looks like.
Per Google: Most furniture is made of non biodegradable & non recyclable materials like treated wood that can't be recycled.
It takes treated wood years to decompose, and any synthetic fabrics from covers or cushions also take a long time to break down.
A polyurethane seat cushion will take up to 1,000 years to decompose.
Only replace furniture if it is broken beyond the point of repair.
In ten years of living in my 1 bedroom apartment, I have only purchased furniture once.
Dont purchase furniture to impress people, for entertaining purposes, to keep up with your social circle, to flex.
Brainwashed. Mindless. Addicted to trash. Consumerist.
Overconsumption. Materialistic. Out of sight, out of mind.
Who cares if we destroy earth, we're colonizing Mars.
An 80 year human life is worth more than 75k extinct animal species and is worth thousands of tons of plastic that will take hundreds of years to break down in landfills and 6 football fields worth of forests being destroyed via deforestation.
Speciesism is cool as long as its humans being valued among all other species on the planet and even the planet itself.
Ecocide is cool. Environmental damage is whatever.
The destruction of the environment is just part of my brat girl summer.
Has anyone seen MaXXXine?

Who are the greys, Reptilians, minders & keepers?

so i’ve done a thing-

INTRODUCING MY VOLTRON FORCE OC COSMO!
my little historian ♡
one things for sure this dudes not flying anything, so don’t worry about him replacing anybody. he’s not interested in piloting the lions nor is he qualified to do so with his (very) poor eyesight, take off his glasses and he’s as blind as a bat. though he doesn’t rely on just his sight to see so be mindful of that before going ahead and calling the dude blind, he has ears for a reason and a very heightened sense of smell— even if his nose has a gigantic scar on it.
cosmo’s not a fighter or flier but instead a researcher! he thrives in studying arusian history and the foundation of voltron and was very upset in episode 19, 5 forged, where he learned that nobody took photos or any notes for him to go off of during their visit with the blacksmith. anything that you need to know about the lion’s history in full detail, he’ll know and will be more than willing to share what he’s learned with you (as long as you pay attention). he’s more than happy to step up and teach the cadets a few lessons about arus and more details about every lion like their ups and downs along with their strengths and what you should avoid when flying each individual lion. though.. his first classes with said cadets were a bit messy, it took a week for cosmo to fully convince daniel and vince that he was in fact older than the both of them with a whopping 10 years difference (he’s 26) despite… the fact that he’s shorter than all the cadets combined (5’6).
(its canon in the 30th anniversary book that daniel and vince are 5’8 and larmina 5’9, and along with all of them being 16)
not to mention his first meeting with each of the cadets individually was certainly something special. cosmo was born on earth but had arusian parents and when he was the right age, moved back to arus determined to study its culture and customs. where better to start than none other than with the queen of arus right? he met larmina first on his way to the castle and was greeted with a rather.. rude demeanor, as she assumed he was studying her customs for evil intentions or him being a spy of some sort. he met allura shortly after that who felt the same way if not a little more respectful than her neice. cosmo struggled with convincing the two that his intentions were completely pure and he was studying merely because it was his degree and that he enjoyed their customs and thought everyone else should but eventually time passed and the two ladies grew fond of 21 year old cosmo for his passion of their culture and his understanding of voltron’s legacy continuing to grow. and after some time, they introduced him to the rest of the pilots and gave him the title of their official historian along with a job to work alongside with them. though he preferred his identity and job to be almost hidden from the public as it was easier to work. after 5 years had passed and voltron was back in the public’s eye again, daniel and vince were brought into the force and met cosmo late at night wandering the castle halls carrying a box of artifacts he was looking to study the rest of the night… and ultimately tried to ambush the poor guy thinking he was an intruder. they learned the following morning that he was in fact NOT an intruder and was their official history teacher and when cosmo informed the other pilots about that night— hunk and keith agreed that the duo would be on latrine duty for the following week for the inconvenience.
he’s very calm and collective but also very optimistic and cheerful to those around him. he never once talks down anyone for their quirks or actions and instead chooses to deal with things in a more “logicial” way. even though he doesn’t like flying the lions, he still is suited for doing so in case of emergencies even with his poor eyesight. he regularly spends his time in his library or his room but sometimes he can be seen helping hunk and pidge from the sidelines while they work on maintaining the lions or discussing missions with keith and lance— even if all they do sometimes is argue.
he’s voiced by l lawliet from death note, loves the color purple, and regularly spends time with none other than anya (owned by toast) our lovable royal advisor ♡

Somebody asked me how I write my stories...
Referencing my DeviantArt account.
Despite not a lot of engagement, I get a lot of compliments. Which is weird considering engagement helps accounts grow. But whatevs.
They've talked to me about several variations of writing process told in high school, college, and writers workshops, and despite seemingly good quality content (again, my engagement suggests otherwise) It appears as if I follow my own drum beat.
That's partially true. I started writing fiction in High School, and I've been to several writing classes, including Technical Writing courses (the kind of writing engineers and PhD students do)
And Ive had to write a lot of content in professional settings as well.
So I have a plethora of writing experience and training to pull from. I have a good idea of how to portray information to people in a quick and professional manner from writing Journal Entries and Documenting Mechanical fixes for aircraft, and being very detailed when needed, and less detailed when it isn't pertinent.
I have a vast knowledge of how books are written as well, from reading intensely during the Scholastic Scholarship programs grade schools offer in America, to being chronically online and reading everything Cracked.Com to Wikipedia rabbit holes, to tutorials for PhotoShop and VideoGame strategy guides, including Nintendo power, Game Informed, and more modern Discord Guides and even responsible for engaging in communities to write my own.
This is where most of my ability to write comes from, but I tend not to edit my stuff after writing them, which tends to lead to confusion... Usually because I'm not getting paid for it, so who cares really.
My process of writing tends to surprise myself with where it ends up. So while I have an idea of how my stories should end up; I tend to write them front to back, in order to avoid writing on plot holes or myself into a corner.
Because I don't have all the details of what should happen, just a general idea of where it's going this helps to maintain the illusion that I have an idea of what I'm writing.
So while I start with a kernel, including an idea of who I want characters to be, or how world building should be, or whatever; the characters and world takes on a mind of their own.
This, I think, is closer to how MangaKai (Japanese Comic Book Authors) tend to do their workflow. And why they're often quoted as saying "I actually have no idea where the story is heading".
And why most Manga tend to run long, because; similar to a sitcom; There isn't an intentionally ending until funding runs out.
And since I'm not being funded, I don't really have to worry about Sales or an audience, or a lot of the limitations other authors and artists might have.
The obvious drawback is that I also tend to work at my own pace, and seemingly aloof-ly with no goals except to write a well crafted story.
I'm writing with the long term goal that I make something that inspires people; and if I'm lucky, there will be a demand for my style of art later. Which I can afford right now thanks to disability.
I see it as a kind of investment.
Each page I'm increasing my skills while creating idea after idea that can be combined together like puzzle, or read in nearly any order.
I'm writing something I want to read. And so, I'm reading it as I write it. Which is kind of antithetical to the standardized practices. You know; that necessity to get paid and all.
Anyway; I'm just hoping it's a good investment.

A connection between the trees and the sea:
Closer at hand, it was the trees that ruled. To south and east the wood went on as far as Jon could see, a vast tangle of root and limb painted in a thousand shades of green, with here and there a patch of red where a weirwood shouldered through the pines and sentinels, or a blush of yellow where some broadleafs had begun to turn. When the wind blew, he could hear the creak and groan of branches older than he was. A thousand leaves fluttered, and for a moment the forest seemed a deep green sea, storm-tossed and heaving, eternal and unknowable.
Ghost was not like to be alone down there, he thought. Anything could be moving under that sea, creeping toward the ringfort through the dark of the wood, concealed beneath those trees.
— A Clash of Kings, Jon IV
Another thing I noticed, the Dothraki in Essos avoid both:
To the Dothraki, water that a horse could not drink was something foul; the heaving grey-green plains of the ocean filled them with superstitious loathing.
— A Game of Thrones, Daenerys VI
The horselords had hitherto shunned the forests of the northern coasts; some say this was because of their reverence for the vanished wood walkers, others because they feared their powers.
— The World of Ice and Fire, Ib
The description of the forest dwellers of Essos is quite similar to the way the race called the Children of the Forest or Those Who Sing the Song of Earth are described in Westeros:
The God-Kings of Ib, before their fall, did succeed in conquering and colonizing a huge swathe of northern Essos immediately south of Ib itself, a densely wooded region that had formerly been the home of a small, shy forest folk. Some say that the Ibbenese extinguished this gentle race, whilst others believe they went into hiding in the deeper woods or fled to other lands. The Dothraki still call the great forest along the northern coast the Kingdom of the Ifequevron, the name by which they knew the vanished forest-dwellers.
The fabled Sea Snake, Corlys Velaryon, Lord of the Tides, was the first Westerosi to visit these woods. After his return from the Thousand Islands, he wrote of carved trees, haunted grottoes, and strange silences. A later traveler, the merchant-adventurer Bryan of Oldtown, captain of the cog Spearshaker, provided an account of his own journey across the Shivering Sea. He reported that the Dothraki name for the lost people meant “those who walk in the woods.”
— The World of Ice and Fire, Ib
Interestingly, walking through the woods is a descriptor that references the White Walkers as well:
“Oh, my sweet summer child,” Old Nan said quietly, “what do you know of fear? Fear is for the winter, my little lord, when the snows fall a hundred feet deep and the ice wind comes howling out of the north. Fear is for the long night, when the sun hides its face for years at a time, and little children are born and live and die all in darkness while the direwolves grow gaunt and hungry, and the white walkers move through the woods.”
— A Game of Thrones, Bran IV
The horn blew thrice long, three long blasts means Others. The white walkers of the wood, the cold shadows, the monsters of the tales that made him squeak and tremble as a boy, riding their giant ice-spiders, hungry for blood …
— A Storm of Swords, Samwell I
Of the forest dwellers, the COTF seem to be a friendlier race whereas the White Walkers are presented as sinister. The same seems to ring true for the merlings, between those who live in the far north and those that reside in the southern waters:
They tell of pale blue mists that move across the waters, mists so cold that any ship they pass over is frozen instantly; of drowned spirits who rise at night to drag the living down into the grey-green depths; of mermaids pale of flesh with black-scaled tails, far more malign than their sisters of the south.
— The World of Ice and Fire, The Shivering Sea
The northern waters also have a curtain of light that matches the one in the Land of Always Winter:
Sailors, by nature a gullible and superstitious lot, as fond of their fancies as singers, tell many tales of these frigid northern waters. They speak of queer lights shimmering in the sky, where the demon mother of the ice giants dances eternally through the night, seeking to lure men northward to their doom. They whisper of Cannibal Bay, where ships enter at their peril only to find themselves trapped forever when the sea freezes hard behind them.
— The World of Ice and Fire, The Shivering Sea
And he looked past the Wall, past endless forests cloaked in snow, past the frozen shore and the great blue-white rivers of ice and the dead plains where nothing grew or lived. North and north and north he looked, to the curtain of light at the end of the world, and then beyond that curtain. He looked deep into the heart of winter, and then he cried out, afraid, and the heat of his tears burned on his cheeks.
— A Game of Thrones, Bran III
DEAD THINGS IN THE WOODS. DEAD THINGS IN THE WATER.
I was once again thinking about how Patchface has a tendency to say some rather odd things, and if you view the phrase "under the sea" as an indication of death/afterlife, the things he says take on a more sinister connotation:
Patchface rang his bells. “It is always summer under the sea,” he intoned. “The merwives wear nennymoans in their hair and weave gowns of silver seaweed. I know, I know, oh, oh, oh.”
— A Clash of Kings, Prologue
Patchface was capering about as the maester made his slow way around the table to Davos Seaworth. “Here we eat fish,” the fool declared happily, waving a cod about like a scepter. “Under the sea, the fish eat us. I know, I know, oh, oh, oh.”
— A Clash of Kings, Prologue
“Under the sea the old fish eat the young fish,” the fool muttered at Davos. He bobbed his head, and his bells clanged and chimed and sang. “I know, I know, oh oh oh.”
— A Storm of Swords, Davos V
They found Her Grace sewing by the fire, whilst her fool danced about to music only he could hear, the cowbells on his antlers clanging. “The crow, the crow,” Patchface cried when he saw Jon. “Under the sea the crows are white as snow, I know, I know, oh, oh, oh.”
— A Dance With Dragons, Jon XI
Patchface jumped up. “I will lead it!” His bells rang merrily. “We will march into the sea and out again. Under the waves we will ride seahorses, and mermaids will blow seashells to announce our coming, oh, oh, oh.”
— A Dance With Dragons, Jon XIII
“Under the sea, men marry fishes.” Patchface did a little dance step, jingling his bells. “They do, they do, they do.”
— A Dance With Dragons, Jon XIII
Patchface drowned but survived under mysterious circumstances:
The boy washed up on the third day. Maester Cressen had come down with the rest, to help put names to the dead. When they found the fool he was naked, his skin white and wrinkled and powdered with wet sand. Cressen had thought him another corpse, but when Jommy grabbed his ankles to drag him off to the burial wagon, the boy coughed water and sat up. To his dying day, Jommy had sworn that Patchface’s flesh was clammy cold.
No one ever explained those two days the fool had been lost in the sea. The fisherfolk liked to say a mermaid had taught him to breathe water in return for his seed.
— A Clash of Kings, Prologue
The previous passage almost seems to echo the following:
He had been the thirteenth man to lead the Night’s Watch, she said; a warrior who knew no fear. “And that was the fault in him,” she would add, “for all men must know fear.” A woman was his downfall; a woman glimpsed from atop the Wall, with skin as white as the moon and eyes like blue stars. Fearing nothing, he chased her and caught her and loved her, though her skin was cold as ice, and when he gave his seed to her he gave his soul as well.
— A Storm of Swords, Bran IV
That's not the only connection that exists between the merlings and the white walkers:
Mormont was deaf to the edge in his voice. “The fisherfolk near Eastwatch have glimpsed white walkers on the shore.”
This time Tyrion could not hold his tongue. “The fisherfolk of Lannisport often glimpse merlings.”
— A Game of Thrones, Tyrion III
Which of course reminds me of Cotter Pyke's ominous letter to Jon Snow:
At Hardhome, with six ships. Wild seas. Blackbird lost with all hands, two Lyseni ships driven aground on Skane, Talon taking water. Very bad here. Wildlings eating their own dead. Dead things in the woods. Braavosi captains will only take women, children on their ships. Witch women call us slavers. Attempt to take Storm Crow defeated, six crew dead, many wildlings. Eight ravens left. Dead things in the water. Send help by land, seas wracked by storms. From Talon, by hand of Maester Harmune.
Cotter Pyke had made his angry mark below.
“Is it grievous, my lord?” asked Clydas.
“Grievous enough.” Dead things in the wood. Dead things in the water. Six ships left, of the eleven that set sail. Jon Snow rolled up the parchment, frowning. Night falls, he thought, and now my war begins.
— A Dance With Dragons, Jon XI
Dead things in the woods. Dead things in the water. Here's the description of the white walkers and the merlings:
Will saw movement from the corner of his eye. Pale shapes gliding through the wood. He turned his head, glimpsed a white shadow in the darkness. Then it was gone. Branches stirred gently in the wind, scratching at one another with wooden fingers. Will opened his mouth to call down a warning, and the words seemed to freeze in his throat.
[...]
A shadow emerged from the dark of the wood. It stood in front of Royce. Tall, it was, and gaunt and hard as old bones, with flesh pale as milk. Its armor seemed to change color as it moved; here it was white as new-fallen snow, there black as shadow, everywhere dappled with the deep grey-green of the trees. The patterns ran like moonlight on water with every step it took.
— A Game of Thrones, Prologue
They tell of pale blue mists that move across the waters, mists so cold that any ship they pass over is frozen instantly; of drowned spirits who rise at night to drag the living down into the grey-green depths; of mermaids pale of flesh with black-scaled tails, far more malign than their sisters of the south.
— The World of Ice and Fire, The Shivering Sea
Pale and black and grey-green. All frozen.
There is also this similarity of both being said to lay with human women to sire terrible offsprings:
He remembered the hearth tales Old Nan told them. The wildlings were cruel men, she said, slavers and slayers and thieves. They consorted with giants and ghouls, stole girl children in the dead of night, and drank blood from polished horns. And their women lay with the Others in the Long Night to sire terrible half-human children.
— A Game of Thrones, Bran I
An even more fanciful possibility was put forth a century ago by Maester Theron. Born a bastard on the Iron Islands, Theron noted a certain likeness between the black stone of the ancient fortress and that of the Seastone Chair, the high seat of House Greyjoy of Pyke, whose origins are similarly ancient and mysterious. Theron’s rather inchoate manuscript Strange Stone postulates that both fortress and seat might be the work of a queer, misshapen race of half men sired by creatures of the salt seas upon human women. These Deep Ones, as he names them, are the seed from which our legends of merlings have grown, he argues, whilst their terrible fathers are the truth behind the Drowned God of the ironborn.
— The World of Ice and Fire, The Reach
We know the dragons are contrasted against the white walkers, but perhaps the merlings are too:
The big man looked out toward the terrace. “I knew it would rain,” he said in a gloomy tone. “My bones were aching last night. They always ache before it rains. The dragons won’t like this. Fire and water don’t mix, and that’s a fact.”
— A Dance With Dragons, The Dragontamer
Although no one can say for certain exactly what kind of creatures Euron (who, while not exactly THE NIGHT KING, is still very Night King coded) plans on summoning from the sea, but perhaps the merlings are part of his plan.

Ok ive read many takes on both sides and gathered my thoughts on the whole Dream vs Quackity war in reguards to his tweet.
Dream should not have made this tweet. The entire way he presented the tweet was intentionally written to stir up drama and anger within his fans. Adding a “don’t harass anyone uwu” at the end does nothing to placate the anger he deliberately stirred within his fans. He created this tweet to elicit a negative response from the fan base to force Quackity to respond. It’s immature and irresponsible considering how massive both of their fan bases are.
80% of his tweet was personal information that has zero purpose being in this tweet other than to stir emotion and rage. He cold have literally just said:
“I’ve been trying to talk to Quackity about our SMPs so that they can coexist and be unique from each other but he hasn’t responded. I don’t want there to be any conflict between our two servers or fan bases and the sooner we work this out the better.”
And even then, he would still be using social pressure to get Quackity to respond - which is not how the situation should be handled - but it gets the exact same message across without all the emotional manipulation.
Quackity’s silence in regards to the USMP and the lack of leadership he’s shown with the QSMP is also making the situation worse. This drama has been building for literal weeks and Quackity has not addressed it or taken steps to prevent it.
First, his refusal to acknowledge the USMP at all caused his fans to lash out at Dream for being a copycat (i don’t have an opinion whether or not this is true, i don’t have enough information, but their reaction was completely inappropriate regardless) which caused a huge schism in the fandom over literally something that could have been prevented with a single tweet or retweet.
Then, Quackity does the bare minimum of removing a racist mod but doesn’t hold any of the cc’s accountable for how they interacted with the mod and doesn’t address the fact that the mod caused harm within his community. Many fans rally behind this silence and deny that the mod was racist at all which alienated even more people in the fandom. Quackity needed to address these fans and the growing toxicity within his fan base as the leader of this fandom he created but he didn’t
And now we are brought to the current storm. Dream fans and some neutral parties are whipped up by his intentionally pathos heavy tweet and pitted against fans who have blind loyalty to Quackity. Unstoppable force vs immovable object. And all the neutral parties in the middle being drowned in the drama.
This is an entirely avoidable situation and both Quackity and Dream played a part in making it worse. Both fandoms need to seriously go outside and touch some grass. Dram stans and Quackity stans are equally toxic and terrible and yall need a serious reality check.
You don’t know Quackity or Dream. They are not your friends. You are literal pawns in their personal conflict. Wake up.
#qsmp#dreamwastaken#quackity#negative#discorse#stans are the literal worst#they are so blindly devoted#on BOTH sides#Dream is just a dude#Quackity is just a dude#they both have an immense amount of power#that neitehr of them know how what to do with#i dont think most people understand how complicated having that kind of power is#silence means just as much as words#everything you say or dont say has in impact when your audience is literally millions of people#and neitehr dream nor quackity seem to understand that#or care

ive explored this in some rough doodles b4 on this account but My boy is actually a faulty result of a corrupted super soldier mass production program. sometime somewhere in the timeline man made mass produced super soldiers from self replicating / sustainable tech to fight the demons (which is a war they eventually lost) like useless sythensized bodies to throw at people but now that society has collapsed the AI doesnt know what else to do BUT keep salvaging the parts of broken crushed soldiers and re-growing new ones to fight a war that no longer exists. never ending cycle. They patrol major parts of Tokyo that most people avoid because literally no one knows how to fucking kill these things they have evolved somehow into behemoths of things that even lesser demons fear at this point cuz you kill them, 3 more are behind, and the one you killed is gonna be harvested for parts. Theyre not meant to have souls minds reasoning just fight enemies and keep tokyo safe. Literal walking beefcakes
Protag was made from a faulty glitch in that programming. Made of all the same material..synthetic body from salvaged parts only he HAS a soul, an identity--one of a boy who died in Tokyo while the bombs fell. Suddenly hes in this strange new body and hes in a world thats completely alien to him after everyone he might have known to be dead. about 30 years have passed since that day the war was lost (to mirror smt1 and 2s favoritism to 30) and the AI that birthed him ALSO has an imprint of sentience and awareness, and wants to travel with you to recover and fix their glitched data because its an AI it doesnt know what else to do with itself. So it relocates its motherchip into your womb hole (something the other soldiers arent meant to have) like a liquid computer hidden in your funky synthensized flesh and you guys are gonna find out whats happened to humanity and the world from there...seek answers...like why out of everyone anyone you are the one who gets reborn if youre even reborn you could have just been the random result of AI uploading an identity chosen from some old Japan citizen databank w/e i dont have everything fleshed out (excuse pun) but these are the IDEASSSS you knowwww

do you have any advice for returning users trying to grow an nsfw account? good hashtags, ways to avoid being flagged, etc? love the page 🙂
oh thank you! I'm no expert on growing an account really. Ive always run my blog for me and seen my followers as an added bonus, rather than focusing on getting more 😂
Tumblr's rules are now that you can post nudity but not outright sexual content. So don't post/reblog too much explicit porn if you want to avoid getting flagged.
As for tags, I've been using 'nsft', which stands for 'not safe for tumblr', since 'nsfw' used to be a tag you couldn't search. I don't know if that's changed now that the rules have.

agreeing with the above points here are a few of my own i learned the hard way:
1: THERE IS NO TIME LIIMIT. Don't rush into things or let the pressure of "what you should be doing" rule your life. Everyone lives their life at different paces AND paths. What works for someone else, might not work out for you. Too many people grow up with this image of a normal life thrown into our heads and are pressured into a certain path that just isn't feasible for most. aka going to college, getting married by a certain age, buying a house, "having your life together" or "having kids". Do not let time pressure you into decisions about your life. I've known too many people, myself included, that self-deprecate and feel like a failure just because they're an adult and aren't leaving the way they were told they had to at this age. They feel like they're failing at life-
2: which brings me to my second: YOU ARE NOT FAILING. Not at life, or at being a person. Nobody knows what the hell we are doing, at all, most of us are still winging it in our 30s+. We're going to therapy, learning how to overcome trauma or just trying to parent ourselves. Some of us gotta hole up with our parents or friends just to get by, and that doesn't mean we are failing at life. The number of times I felt as if i should be doing more with my life, getting upset and angry at myself for not having my stuff together, when i honestly shouldn't have been so harsh on myself.
3: Accountability. Hold yourself accountable for your actions, face the consequences, but also hold OTHERs accountable. I could've avoided a lot of hard lessons if i had held people accountable for using me and hurting me. I should have held myself accountable for my own care much more than i did. everyone is human, we make mistakes, things happen, but if you don't hold yourself accountable (or others) there wont be room for growth or healing. This goes hand in hand with setting boundaries. and setting boundaries is NEVER a request. It is always a line you place and that if it is crossed, you follow through. If someone disrespects your boundary, you have to follow through and hold you both accountable by doing what you said you would if they cross it. No ifs, ands, or butts.
4: Love. Life. This is my most important lesson or advice. Stop and smell the roses is that overused metaphor but its true. Don't live in your past, dont hope for the future, live in the NOW. LOVE the now. because if you dont, you work on it until you do. don't hold back for the future, you dont know what the future has. Ive lost people that didnt even get their high school diplomas, to suicide, to freak accidents and overdoes; lost people when their life was JUST looking up or they had something amazing they were working to. Life is TOO FCKING SHORT. So LOVE NOW, and ESPECIALLY, Love the people you have.
5: don't make yourself smaller. Never. Don't belittle yourself or stop doing something you love just because it upsets someone else or they dont like it. If you change, it needs to be because YOU want to. Because you don't like that quality or habit, no one else. Be unapologetically yourself and you'll find home. This I learned recently, and from Ateez and the community I found myself in because of them. I am entirely myself, i take up space and have opinions that others dont like, and i am still loved and respected and cherished. You do NOT need to be less for someone else to love you
I just hit 30, im living with friends, hundreds of miles from where i grew up. I've been married and divorced, had many many different dreams crushed for different reasons, i've been traumatized and hurt more than i have good times. But i made it. These 5 things are the hardest lessons i had to learn, and most ive learned in recent years. I have no clue what my future holds, no idea what im doing with my life, but I am happy, i am alive, and i am surrounded by people i cherish and love and things that make me whole. And i'm living this way because of these 5 lessons (and many more but mostly these)
I hope they help <3
Older moots, specifically the 25+ club, what's some advice you could give to us younger adults that you wish somebody told you? I know there are things in life you have to find out yourself, but there are some things that need to be shared (in my opinion). So please, share some knowledge on things you've learned! I, and I'm sure others, could really use it 💖

Tinder Matches
Karmagisa Week 2021, day 1 prompt: Matching wordcount: 1600
----------------------------------------------------------------
The fact that Nagisa had a tinder account wasn’t something he really shared with anyone. At the time, he’d created it as a joke, a way of amusing his friend’s stupid suggestion. According to Kayano, it truly could be the solution to his lack of experience in the love life department. Nagisa hadn’t been too sure about that. He was more than aware of the application’s status and, no, he wasn’t really interested in finding people to just have sex with.
Yet, somehow, he still found himself swiping through people on the app one night. He was alone in his room, a little bored, and perhaps even a little too tired after a day’s worth of teaching. None of the people he came across really interested him much, although he had to admit that he’d probably give them a shot if he saw them in real life, just because he wanted to believe in the best in people.
This app, however, gave little to no information on someone’s personality. Then again, some people were very clear about looking for someone rich to provide for them, which Nagisa guessed his teacher’s salary wasn’t exactly right for, and he supposed that also said something about their personality and what they were like in a relationship. Nothing Nagisa really wished to deal with.
After swiping left on complete strangers in fear of one secretly being a stalker, murderer, or just having horrible table manners, he suddenly stopped when a familiar face popped up on his screen. the red hair, the golden eyes, that all too familiar smirk. Nagisa recognized exactly who he was seeing, yet somehow couldn't exactly process the idea. it just didn't seem entirely right.
Someone like Karma wouldn't need to use tinder, right?
He found himself staring at the title picture for a while before he realized he could scroll through and see more. it wasn't like he didn't know what karma looked like... but... he sure was curious about what karma was putting out there.
It didn't appear to be all that special at first. A selfie in a casual outfit, a picture of him at a bar with people Nagisa didn't recognize, a traveling picture, but the last picture was something else. This picture appeared professionally taken, or at the very least it wasn't a selfie and the picture was set up. Karma was posing in it, after all. Posing in a suit, the jacket in his hand, thrown over his shoulder as he glanced at the camera with those devilish eyes. Nagisa was nothing but taken back by it.
He shouldn't be staring, should he? This was his close friend and fellow assassin graduate, the staring was just weird. Yet, somehow, he couldn't look away from the picture and thought back to when he’d first met Karma, so many years ago now. He’d felt the same sense of awe back then. Karma was just so perfect, how couldn’t he. This picture, him as an adult looking like a literal model, was like a visual representation of everything Nagisa used to feel Karma was.
The sudden noise of the train passing near his apartment woke him up from his state. suddenly turning very red, he frantically moved his hands and went to swipe left, except his phone nearly fell out of his hands in the process. He caught it, hands all over the screen and, through his own fingers, he could see Karma being swiped right.
no. no nonono. please go back
Nagisa fumbled with his phone, hoping to undo his actions, but before he could do anything, a message popped up on the screen. He was surprised by it to say the least.
‘you've got a match’
A match. He matched. but that meant... Karma had swiped right on him as well?! why would he- probably as a joke. he probably came across nagisa and thought it was funny, right? Nagisa had to assume that was the truth, although deep in his mind a thought echoed around saying the exact opposite. Maybe he wanted it to not be a joke.
After panicking for a hot minute, his phone made a ping sound, indicating he’d gotten a message. He was too scared to look. Somehow, before even opening the message, he could already sense who it was from. Sure enough, once he finally did gather the courage to check the notification, his fears were proven right. This was the worst situation.
Karma: well well well, didnt take you as the tinder type
He considered ignoring it. What was that called again? Ghosting? Yes, he could ghost Karma. If he didn’t respond to the message, perhaps nothing else unfavourable would be happening. Well, Karma would probably mention it to him the next time they spoke in real life. That would probably be even worse. It wasn’t like he could ignore Karma for the rest of his life. It wasn’t like he wanted to.
Nagisa: i'm not
Karma: yet here you are.
Karma: swiping right on me ;)
The cockiness almost oozed out of the message. Nagisa was left frowning at his phone. The main thought going through his mind was that Karma was probably enjoying this. He was a sadist like that. He was having fun while Nagisa wanted to bury himself as deep underground as possible.
Nagisa: you swiped right first!
Nagisa: mine was an accident
Nagisa: I was surprised to see you on here and my phone dropped
Karma: ah, so you wouldn't swipe right on me :( am I too ugly?
Nagisa felt his face grow hot. He probably shouldn't look at his reflection if he wanted to save himself from the image of his head being a tomato. He didn't think karma was ugly. quite the opposite, actually. Not that he could say that. That would be weird. So, he tried to find some middle ground answer, not calling karma ugly or the opposite of that.
Nagisa: I never said that, I just didn't intend to swipe right on someone i'm already friends with.
There, no way that could be taken wrong. He considered sending an additional message, clarifying just how dropping his phone led to the swiping right, but decided against it. It would sound just a little too defensive.
Karma: well, its nice this gives us a chance to talk again anyways. appears youve been too busy to answrr my texts.
An awkward laugh escaped Nagisa as he looked away from his phone, forgetting Karma couldn't actually see his reaction. There was no reason to avoid eye contact when there was no eye contact to begin with. Still, he shared the sentiment. He kind of had forgotten to keep contact with people lately.
He blamed the new workplace. After finishing his days as a trainee, the new school he worked at was surprisingly more demanding. He always knew being a full time teacher was a lot of work, especially now that there was no one to keep an eye on him and remind him of certain teaching specifics of the school he taught at. Of course, the work was rewarding enough for him to barely think about his loss of contacts. He had a habit of treating those too loosely anyways.
Nagisa: ive just been working
Karma: workaholic
Nagisa: you literally have more work hours than me
Karma: and somehow you still spend as much time working as me.
The conversation went on like that for a bit, them going back and forth at each other. Overall, it wasn't a bad time. Nagisa kind of forgot about the actual use of the app, and the fact that he could just DM Karma on line whenever he wanted to, until Karma managed to bring back the conversation to it.
Karma: you know, usually when people match, they try to meet up for a date
Of course Nagisa was aware that that's what the app was for, it was sort of the reason he’d gotten it as well. However, he didn't think anything would lead anywhere for him, let alone with karma. surely karma wasn't being serious. it would be weird to go on a date with your friend.
and still, Nagisa endulged him, being so stupid as to ask further.
Nagisa: where do people even go on tinder dates?
Karma: anywhere they want to, usually just for drinks, easy way to lead them home a little tipsy afterwards
Nagisa: okay that sounds creepy
Karma: if that's not your style I could always take you out for dinner.
Karma: There's this new sushi restaurant near my place, looks like something you'd love.
somehow, he actually considered it. On any other day, that would sound insane to nagisa. Since when would he consider dating karma? Wait, not dating, going on a date with Karma. There was a difference. Sushi did sound great, and so did Karma's company. He supposed he hadn't really been out like that in a while. date or not.
Karma: i can even pick you up, very romantic
The word hit Nagisa a little hard. Romantic. What would that entail? Would they sit opposite of each other, send cute glances, maybe even hold hands beside the table? He wanted his mind to hate the idea of that, doing those things with his friend, ruining the relationship they already had. But, he also wanted to give in, say yes, and see where things would lead. At the very least, he'd have a fun night with good food.
Nagisa: you have a day in mind?
Karma: how's Saturday?
Nagisa: Saturday's fine
Karma: it's a date!
