“and there was something about you that now, i can’t remember. it’s the same damn thing that made my heart surrender.”
present day. summer.
“We’re gonna miss you so, so, so much, love,” Mai groans, pulling you in towards her for a hug and you reciprocate with fondness.
Another pair of arms wraps around you, grip much tighter and you protest through a difficult breath. “Do you really have to go?” Nobara asks.
You tap on the skin of her arm, urging her to ease her hold in this group hug, and she finally relents and the three of you pull apart from one another. There’s a slight gasp from your lips as you breathe in fresh summer air. “I do, Nobie, I’m sorry. Nanami said it’s the final decision.”
You’re standing on hot concrete in front of a little countryside cottage that you’ve called home for years, but will soon just be a memory. You know which light switches illuminate corners of the rooms, and which creaking wood panels on the floor to avoid when looking for a midnight snack. It’s where you spent years studying for finals, arguing with your mom, learning how to care for Ms. Roxie, and it’s where you fell in love. More than once.
Your parents gave the house to you and Nanami once the two of you became engaged, but that blessing was soon to be given away, as Nanami received news six months ago that he was being promoted and relocated to Tokyo. Now, you have two bags in your hands, your purse slung around your shoulder, and a suitcase filled to the brim with the life you’ve tried to stuff in it. Your taxi driver has the other suitcase, because there were some things you couldn’t leave behind after all, and he’s putting it in the trunk right now.
“Nanami is so rude to take you from us,” Mai sighs, “but at least you’ll be one of those cool city girls now. So scary. I heard trends change faster there than the leaves on Rowan tree during spring.”
Nobara lets out a gasp that’s only half exaggerated. “No way! It can’t be!”
The taxi driver calls after you with a quick question, to which you answer back with a shout from where you stood. A quick glance at your watch tells you it’s time to get moving, as you’ll be taking a connecting train once you reach Tokyo that you need to be on time for. And then he’ll be there. Nanami will be waiting for you there, to lead you into the life that he’s started to make for the two of you.
“I’ll call so very often,” you promise the two of them, “and I will miss you two so very often as well.” Tears prickle in your eyes, and it seems to be contagious as they shimmer in Nobara and Mai’s eyes as well. Another group hug takes place between the three of you, harsh sun beating down with birds chirping in the distance as you try to take in the last few moments you’ve been granted of this place. “Take care of Roxie for us,” you say through a sniffle, “to you, it may seem like you’re only the bearer of food for her, but I promise that little kitty will love you two like no other.”
They both nod at you as you pull away, and you swipe at a tear that rolls down your cheek as you roll your suitcase down the pebbled walkway of your now past home.
The taxi driver helps hoist your suitcase into the trunk and places your other two bags into the back seat. You take a seat at the front with him, clicking the passenger seatbelt, and you roll down the window to wave bye with blown kisses as the taxi driver pulls away from the rocky mud road with crunching under the wheels. You watch Mai and Nobara and your home in the side view mirror until they’re no longer visible, but their voices of farewell linger in the air for a moment more.
“Alright, ma’am, bound for Tokyo!” your taxi driver chirps, his rough-looking hands opening and closing a few times to stretch out the joints of his fingers before tightly gripping onto the steering wheel again.
“Yes, Tokyo,” you murmur softly, gaze set out the window of the familiar street shops and stretches of patchy trees you know you’ll miss once you’re in the city.
“What’s your name?” the man asks, a thick country accent rolling off his tongue, with a sweetness like honey.
You turn your head to look at him more closely. The hair of his eyebrows is bushy, somewhat unkempt, and he has thick lines across his cheeks and forehead that can only mean that he’s lived a lot of life.
You tell him your name and he nods slowly as the two of you stop at a through road, a few school children hurrying past before he turns right onto the main road. “That’s a nice name. Which one of your parents gave it to ya?”
“Um. Both of them?”
He lets out a noise of acknowledgement, and doesn’t ask a further question. You smooth out the fabric of your long skirt with a hand, then toy with the band of your simple watch. Just when you think a comfortable silence has fallen between the two of you, and you think you have the luxury of losing yourself in your thoughts with sights beyond the polished glass window, the man speaks up again.
“Alright then, miss, tell me a story.”
You raise an eyebrow at him. “Pardon?”
“We’re gonna be spendin’ three hours in this car together, darlin’. It’s either I talk your ear off or you talk mine off,” he says, broad shoulders rolling backwards once as he gets comfortable in his driving position.
“Uh…do we need to talk at all?”
He glances over at you for a moment. The car wheels grind over rocks on gravel road near an agricultural field, and his fingers flex once again on the wheel. “You younger generations are so stuck in your own worlds. Entertain some conversation with the poor old taxi driver, will ya?”
You sigh, folding your hands in your nap neatly. “Alright. I don’t really have many stories to tell, though.”
“A young lady like you, packin’ up her whole life to move to a big city? I beg to differ,” he counters.
His words have you tucking your bottom lip under your teeth, a few blinks of your eyelids to process his observation of you. Your mind searches for stories to tell. Maybe that moment last week when you watched a momma duck waddle across a bridge with all seven of her baby ducklings. Or maybe you could tell him about that time you drove your car into a ditch the night of the comet festival and you swear you saw a UFO in the sky. The story you’ve been telling a lot lately, though, was the one of how Nanami proposed.
But then there’s a different story that comes to mind. With hazy images of blinding stage lights in dim venues, cigarette smoke wafting through the air, sounds of bass and drums and cheers. Smell of dry grass, the feeling of your back against a blanket, heart beating fast underneath the stars in front of a twinkling lake. And forever in your memory, the patterns of his inked skin.
“You got a boyfriend?” the man asks, suddenly.
“Are…are you hitting on me?” you ask awkwardly.
“Oh, no, ma’am,” he shakes his head, lifting his left hand up from the steering wheel and turning the back of it to face you. A silver ring adorning his fourth finger shimmers from the reflected sunlight through the window. “Happily married. Been with my missus for 22 years.”
A small smile makes its way onto your face as you relax into your seat a little, feeling calmer. “Oh, I see. I’m sorry for assuming. And I have a fiancé, actually.”
“Oh?” he chirps, stealing a quick glance at your left hand that was still folded neatly underneath your right one in your lap. “How come I’m not seein’ a ring?”
You tug at the small chain around your neck, a chill felt as diamond stone and cold metal drags against the skin of your sternum before you pull out your own promise of marriage, dangling it in front of your chest for him to steal another glance at. “I wear it around my neck. I’m a pottery teacher, so I usually take it off when showing my students any demos. I figured if I kept taking it off like that, I might lose it, so I just wear it around my neck now.”
“That’s interesting,” he comments, “It’s a real nice ring, that’s for sure! Tell me about this man you’re marryin.”
Your heart aches at the thought of Nanami. It’s been six months since you’ve seen him, since he relocated to Tokyo first, and you’ve missed him every day since. You were in the middle of the academic year at the elementary school you taught at, so they asked you to stay back, but Nanami had already accepted the promotion, thus the two of you made the decision that he would move to Tokyo first to get situated and you’d soon follow in the summer. It was a lot of stress to handle as just one person; searching for apartments on top of managing the heightened expectations from his boss from his new role, but he did it all without a complaint. Because he loves you, and that’s who Nanami was. Someone who would move mountains for you. He’s worked hard to make a place for you in Tokyo, one to call home.
“He really loves me,” you say to the man, softly.
“And you love him?”
“So much.”
“Was he your first love?”
Your breath catches in your throat from his question, a small chill running down your spine. The silence that settles could’ve lasted two seconds or two centuries, and you never would’ve known.
You lick your lips before answering. “No, he wasn’t.”
“Hmm…” the man hums. Bumpy roads are now smooth as he turns onto properly laid roads, the exit from your town onto intercity roads. “I can tell.”
“You can tell?” you ask, skeptic in your tone as you tilt your head at him.
“I can tell from your voice that there was someone else before. Someone who meant a whole lot to you, but he went away for some reason,” he says.
You’re not sure why there’s a lump in your throat from his words, a heavy thing with so much substance that it threatens to weigh your heart as well. Your eyes study the side of his face. “You’re getting all of that from my voice?”
The man’s expression is blank as if it were tabula rasa, something so different from the way you’ve felt for so long now, like your heart has been torn in two. There was something so tempting about it; the luxury of a clean slate. Of a new beginning. A fresh start. And it’s hard not to imagine how you would’ve painted things differently.
“Tell me about him,” the man says, the story he was looking for having been found. “Your first love.”
“He…” you start, shocked that you’re actually answering, but it’s like an invitation you can’t resist, “he was my first boyfriend…my first serious boyfriend. I met him the summer after high school. During a summer like this one.”

chapter 1. cupid’s arrow.
“C’mon, faster!” Mai exclaims, her hand wrapped around your wrist to tug you across the dim streets of downtown.
“Just— wait— Mai, please, slow down,” you’re stumbling after her, feet failing to keep up, and you almost crash right into her when she comes to a sudden halt on the sidewalk.
“This is it,” she says, staring up at the sporadically blinking neon lights of what appears to be a small venue, black marquee letters that spell out Backseat Serenade Tonight @ 10pm stand out to you in a way that feels haunting. “We’re so late, let’s head inside.”
Mai drags you inside, and the security guy is less than thrilled by the commotion as he stands in front of closed double doors. You can feel the bass of music vibrating the walls, accompanied by loud shrill screams and chants coming from inside, and the red velvet flooring underneath your feet fuel you with static as you two approach the man dressed in full black.
Mai fumbles with her purse to pull out her phone, and the man scans the barcoded tickets on her screen before giving the two of you wristbands to wear and then he opens the door for the two of you.
The inside of the venue is small but packed, minimal lighting save for moving lights that illuminate the band on stage, but it’s even harder to see anything over the heads of people with their hands up in the air. Mai’s grip on your forearm is tight as she roughly weaves the two of you through the crowd, determined in her gait but you feel the need to apologize to the people she’s shoving in the process. You’re surprised at how fast the two of you make it to the front barricades, thanks to Mai’s nimbleness alone, and your eyes raise to the scene onstage through wafting smoke through the air.
“Alright, alright, alright,” one of the band members chimes right as the final instrumentals of the song begin to fade. His hair is a pale silver under dusty lighting, pushed up from out of his face by a black headband snapped to his forehead, and his eyes are distinctly blue. He has an electric guitar hanging from his neck by a thick black strap. He raises both of his hands up into the air, waving them down a few times to calm down the crowd, and there are scattered hushes surrounding you and Mai. “This is our last song, and we just want to thank you all so much for coming out tonight! This crowd’s the best we’ve ever had!”
The people cheer in response as a light and relaxed melody begins to tune together from the instrumentals on stage. You hear Mai groan beside you. “What the fuck?! We missed the entire set?!”
Your hands curl around the cold metal of the barricade dividers and your eyes sweep across the stage. There’s a man in the far back with short black hair, bouncing his leg up and down as he’s seated behind a drum set, fidgeting with wooden sticks in his hands, and you’re puzzled by the fact that he’s wearing a very poorly fitted suit onstage. Off to the right, a man with pink hair is messing with the headphones snapped to his ears in front of an electric keyboard, spread fingers pressing down on chords, and you can vaguely see the black nail polish at the tips of his fingers. A woman with mid length blonde hair and pink highlights stands at the front, her hand wrapped around the mic resting on top of the stand. She’s laughing, tipping her head back at something else the electric guitar player says over the mic, but you’ve drowned out the words because your eyes finally land on what’s directly in front of you.
With an almost bored expression on his face, a man stands with a matte black bass guitar hung from his neck as he has one foot up on the top of a subwoofer located flush to the edge of the stage. His hair is raven black, longer at the nape of his neck with shorter layers scattered, and tendrils fall over his face. There’s a glint to his polished black shoes off of where you’re standing, and he’s wearing tight black jeans that cling to the thick and lean muscles of his calves and thighs, with a leather belt fastened around the circumference of his hips. The shirt that’s tucked into his jeans is just as tight to his skin, and a small gasp leaves your lips when you take in the sight of his arms covered in intricate patterns of ink. His right arm is practically covered from the wrist all the way up to the cut of his short sleeve, likely beyond, and his left arm has ink traveling up to his forearm only, like he’s still working on mapping it all out. You watch the way his biceps flex as he bends his arms, bringing his hands up to his face to push his hair back, and your heart is keeping fast rhythm with the music.
“Cho!” the woman at the front speaks into the mic, turning her head to look at this man who you’re sure is the most beautiful man you’ve ever seen. “You’ve hardly said a single word tonight, baby. Not that that’s unusual though. Why don’t you say a few words before we kick off the last song?”
A bunch of whoos!! and ahhhs!!! and yesss!!! scatter throughout the crowd in the form of cheers and you watch the man furrow his brows together, a scowl forming on his face. There’s a band of black underneath his eyes that runs across the bridge of his nose, with perpendicular lines resembling arrows running down his cheeks. Dark purple eyes that match the dark shadows around them glint under flickering stage lighting as he takes his foot off the speaker and walks a few steps backwards to position himself at his stationed mic.
“Fine,” he says, and you’re watching the way his lips barely brush against the mic as he speaks, “This is our last song. It’s called Lost Cause. Enjoy. Or don’t. It’s up to you. Who the fuck am I to tell you what to do.”
There’s only a slight beat of silence from the crowd before they’re cheering again, while his band members just stare at him stunned. The white-haired electric guitarist yells into his mic something like “THAT’S IT?!” before the drum player cuts him off with three taps of his sticks in the air, and then the song commences from them on practiced reflex.
The energy from the crowd is loud in the last few minutes of the show, smoke rising in the air from the machines spread across the raised stage, and you can’t tear your eyes away from the bass player. You rest your forearms on the cold metal in front of you, the sight of Mai jumping up and down in your periphery as she headbangs and shakes her hair.
The bass player’s eyes start to scan the venue within what seems to be the final chorus of the song, chin tipping up and fingers continuing to strum as he assesses the back of the crowd first, then gaze darting throughout the center, before he begins to study the front barricade. You watch his every movement, mapping the trail of his sight, and your heart skips a beat when those dark eyes finally fall on yours.
His eyes briefly flicker to your left, to continue his study of the crowd, but it’s as if his brain just registered something with a delay, and he quickly moves his gaze back to you in a double take. His eyes widen, bored expression quickly turned into one of surprise with a glint to his pupils, and you swear you’ve been struck by an arrow to your heart.
“Yaaaay! Thank you everyone!” the woman at the front exclaims, pulling her mic from the stand to walk around to make work of the crowd. The white-haired man approaches the edge of the stage with a pleased grin on his face, high-fiving all of the outstretched arms, and the man at the keyboard simply waves a few times before incessantly tuning buttons on his headphones. Drum boy hasn’t stopped playing some sort of loud rhythm as an encore. Your sight is set back onto the bass player, and he’s looking off somewhere else now. Somewhere backstage.
“Hey!” the white-haired man exclaims once he’s made it in front of the two of you. “Mai! You made it!”
She reaches out to grab his forearm, tugging down harshly so he’s stumbling and dropping one knee to the stage floor, kneeling. “Of course I was gonna make it! Thanks for the tickets,” she’s yelling over loud ambient cheers and music, “this is my friend y/n, by the way. Oh, and this is Gojo, he’s the guy I was telling you about.”
You nod at him, and try to accept his outstretched hand when someone bumps you from behind and your hand is in favor of stabilizing yourself over the divider instead.
You can barely hear the laugh from Gojo’s position on the raised stage. “Just meet us backstage! We can chat for a bit with proper introductions and all.”
As the crowd begins to dissipate with people moving through the sets of double doors out back, Gojo hops off stage to take you and Mai through a side door that leads into a hallway that lines the back of the stage. You look up into the high ceilings with metal structural poles banding between the walls, and the dim yellow lighting in small bulbs bolted to the walls like a runway remind you of movie theater exit routes.
“So, what’d you guys think of the show?” Gojo asks, his arms raised up and hands interlocked behind his neck in a casual-not-so-casual way as he sends the two of you a lazy look over his shoulder.
“Well, we only made it for one song since miss barista over here was running late from her shift,” she sighs, whacking your arm once with the back of her hand. You glance down and realize you didn’t even have the time to take your frilled and wrinkled apron off. “But, from what we did get to hear, AMAZING! AWESOME! SPECTACULAR!”
Gojo is grinning wide as he turns around to face the two of you, continuing to walk but backwards as he slaps the raised hand that Mai had in the air for him. “I’m so glad, I felt the pressure to please was high since I’ve been hyping up our shows to you for so long.”
“We’ve only known each other for like two weeks.”
“I know. But PSYCH 210 lecture at the ass crack of dawn really brings two people together, y’know.”
Mai and Gojo continue to laugh and talk about random things college-related, and there’s a stirring feeling in your chest that you’re surrounded by people older and much more well-lived than you. You’ve just graduated high school, barely a few months ago, but Mai was a few years older than you, so any time she tries to introduce you to her college friends, you feel the need to perform or be someone that you’re not so they’ll like you, despite the fact that you’re aware of the fallacy in that. And tonight, that responsibility feels much more daunting for some reason.
There are voices heard further down the hall, and as you approach, you notice the drum guy, keyboard guy, and devilishly handsome bass guy are all loitering around in that area, along with a few other people they seemed to have invited backstage.
Gojo walks up to them, grabbing onto the bass man’s hand firmly before patting him on the back, then slings his arms around the other two. “This is Higurama,” he says, rubbing the top of the black-haired guy’s head with the knuckles of his fist, “he does drums for us. And this is Sukuna,” he says, about to repeat the same gesture to the top of his head but his wrist is grabbed and twisted, “ow, fuck, fuck, fuck– sorry.” Sukuna lets go of his wrist, scowl dissipating into sadistic amusement, and Gojo’s holding his wrist, now slightly red from the burn, with a pout on his face. “He does the keyboard. And all the techno sounds. And some other stuff I’ve frankly no fucking clue about.”
The two of them acknowledge you and Mai, along with the few other people who Gojo seems to know as well, and then Gojo’s approaching the bass player again before resting his elbow up on his shoulder, leaning his weight onto him and the man just crosses his arms across his chest, sending Gojo a side-eye. “Mai, I think you two have met before, but this is Choso. Choso Kamo, our bass player. Best bass player I’ve ever known to be honest. Be careful though, he might bite you.”
Choso scowls, rolling his shoulder back once to get rid of Gojo’s resting elbow. His eyes are on yours, boring into you deep, and when he darts his tongue out briefly to wet his bottom lip, you finally notice the silver lip ring near the corner of his mouth. “Hi. Nice to meet you,” he says, hand outstretched and you shake it with a mention of your name to him. The skin on his fingers feel rough from play, a small sacrifice to pay for the talent he’s harnessed over the years from plucking at strings. His eyes sweep down you once. “Why are you dressed like Strawberry Shortcake?”
“I–” you start, glancing down at your attire and feeling the heat pool in your cheeks, “I just got off a work shift. I work at a cafe.”
“Oh,” he responds, and you notice his hand is still holding onto yours, Your eyes trail the patterns on his skin, visible in more detail up close, and you find yourself lost in every line and swirl and scale and skull and cross, the only thing breaking you out of your trance being Mai’s jab of her elbow to your ribcage.
You gasp, snatching your hand away from Choso, and when you look up at his face, there’s a hint of amusement on it.
“Babes, he was asking you a question,” Mai says, looking between you and the man in front of you.
“Huh?” you ask, suddenly flustered and you swipe your palm down your work apron to wipe the sweat that begins to perspire at your palm from the lingering heat of his hand.
“I was asking if you liked the show,” Choso says, tilting his head to the side and now he’s allowing his eyes to travel all across you in any way he wants.
“I loved it,” you respond, almost breathlessly, “it was great. I mean– we only saw, like, one song. But still, really amazing.”
“Only one song?” Choso asks, his eyebrow raising, “that’s a shame. You’ve gotta come to more shows then.”
Before you can respond, there’s a feminine voice heard down the hallway, sounding an awful lot like the one echoing off the speakers inside the concert venue, and then the blond woman who was the lead singer of the band skips right up to the group formulating in this hallway before wrapping her arms around Choso’s neck and pulling him down towards her in a kiss.
You’re standing there stunned, eyes immediately averting from the scene of the two of them in front of you, but in the corner of your eye you can see his arm wrap around her waist briefly before he pulls her away from him, and the release of her lips from his makes a sound that for some reason creates a pit in your stomach.
“Cho, baby, I just had an insane conversation,” she says, still practically hanging from his neck as she stands on tiptoes, “with this record label guy. He’s apparently hot shit in Tokyo, and he wants to offer us this city gig ‘cause he thinks we’re a potential sign-on, and–”
Choso’s hand reaches to the back of his neck, gripping around her wrist to pull it apart from her other one, and then her arms fall to her sides and her heels flatten to the ground as she blinks up at him. “That’s cool, Sana, but can we talk about that later?”
Gojo’s arms cross his chest as he leans forward, glaring at the woman. “Yeah. And as a band, not just with your lover.”
Sana rolls her eyes and scoffs, placing curled hands low on her hips. “He’s not my lover, bitch. Unless he’s my lover like you’re lovers with a blunt on a sunday– sucked off in a car ‘cause you’ve got nothing better to do.”
“That’s offensive to both of us,” Gojo grumbles but Choso just sighs, unbothered, as he rubs at the back of his neck. He makes eye contact with you again, and his expression sobers as though he forgot for a second that you were still standing there.
Sana turns to you and Mai. “Hi, I’m Sana, nice to meet you guys. Sorry, I thought you two were some of our other friends, otherwise I wouldn’t have kissed Cho in front of you. I hate PDA, trust me.”
Mai lets out an awkward laugh as she shakes her hand, and you almost don’t want to shake her hand, but you do just to be polite.
“You didn’t hate PDA that one time I was about to bag the girl I’d been talking to for weeks and you decided to grind your sorry excuse of an ass right up against me in front of her,” Gojo grumbles.
She waves a dismissive hand in the air. “Whatever, she thought you were gay anyways. Would’ve done yourself a favor if you actually grabbed my ass.”
She ignores the insulted gesture Gojo makes, cutting off whatever words he was about to spew with words of her own. “What are you girls doing after this? We’re having a post-show party, you two should come.” She glances at you. “Uh, love, I’d ditch the apron though. Unless it’s, like, some sort of fetish for you.”
You’re defeated as your arms cross your torso to grip the hem of your apron and pull it up over your head, shaking your head a bit to allow your hair to fall back into place, and then you fold the frilly article of clothing neatly before hanging it over your arm. “It’s not,” you sigh, too exhausted to be subject to the title of your occupation anymore. A small flicker of your eyes to Choso tells you he’s staring at you.
Sana shrugs. “So you pretty ladies wanna come?”
Mai shakes her head. “No, sorry, my baby here,” she says, wrapping her arm around yours tightly, “just graduated high school recently, so she’s too young for a party. I’ve got a responsibility to look after her. And throwing her into a room full of sleazy drunk punk college dudes is the opposite of looking after her.”
Sukuna comes around, leaning his arm against the wall, smirk on his face, as he eyes you like you’re something to steal. “Just graduated high school? So you just turned eighteen, sweetheart?”
Mai glares daggers at him. “Get the fuck away from her, Super Senior. You’re icky. Also, case in point proven.”
Sana whacks the back of Sukuna’s head, and he all but growls at her. “Stop being creepy,” she reprimands him before turning to Mai again. “No, I swear, it’s not like that. It’s chill, minimal alcohol. No drugs. Just a small get-together with a few of our fellow friends, and friends of fellow friends, from the music scene.” She leans against Choso’s arm, wide eyes looking up at him, but he doesn’t lean into her. “Right, Cho? No scary guys for her to worry about?”
His eyes narrow at you, raking down your figure again, and his chest moves a little faster with his breath. “I’m against it. It’s no place for an eighteen-year-old. You’re a fucking idiot for trying to invite a girl who just recently graduated from highschool to a house party. She’s practically a kid.”
Your heart sinks from his words, and you feel juvenile standing in front of him, in a way that makes you angry and embarrassed at the same time, and you can’t bite back the words in time, “Whatever, at least I haven’t been on crack since the day I was born like you probably were.”
Almost all heads in this small hallway snap to you, if they weren’t already there before, wide eyes blinking before Gojo bursts out into a laugh, which dominoes into Mai’s laughter, and you barely register the way Sana looks you up and down once before forcing a smile. Choso’s surprised expression turns into a disgruntled one as he crosses his arms across his chest, and you can’t help but watch the stretch of his inked skin over his muscles as they flex.
“I’ve never done crack, shortcake, and your lame insult only proves my point on your immaturity,” he scowls, leaning his upper body forward towards you, and his gaze briefly drops to your lips.
Sana comes in between the two of you, pressing herself up against him to get him away, and he takes an involuntary step back and now he’s scowling at her too. She turns around to face you, and there’s that forced smile again. “Uh, y’know what, sweets? Cho is sooo totally right, no place at all for a—I’m sorry, how old did you say you were?”
“Eighteen,” you say with a slight grit to your teeth.
“Oh! Yeah, no place for you, sorry,” she says, with a small jut of her bottom lip to signal a pout.
You roll your eyes at her, then glance past her at Choso who’s looking at you like he’s still got a few retaliating words for you on his tongue, but then he’s dropping his gaze to the neckline of your shirt, eyeing the shape of your breasts, even dipping further down your legs and you let out a scoff.
“You sure enjoy checking me out for someone you think is practically a kid,” you spit back.
He’s not angry this time, the corner of his mouth simply tipping up slightly into a smirk. “I meant you’re too young to drink, but you’re old enough to fuck, so spare me the attitude.”
Your cheeks flush at his comment, nonetheless made in front of a group of people who were practically strangers to you, and you’re about to give him a piece of your mind when Mai grabs your forearm and Gojo places himself between you and jerkface.
“Woah! Look at the time,” Gojo chirps, glancing at his wrist that was absent of any time-telling device but he rolls with it anyway, “should probably head out now, since the venue’s closing soon. Y’know, grab our stuff.”
Mai nods her head at you in response to his words, sending a single glare Choso’s way before exchanging some pleasantries with Gojo and then dragging you down the hallway with her towards the exit.
“Hey–” you begin to complain, her grip on you starting to hurt, and you eventually yank your arm away from her before she opens the backdoor exit. “Let’s go to that party.”
Mai sighs, leaning her back against the door and crosses her arms. “No way. Your mom wanted me to get you home before midnight,” she says as she glances at the time on her phone, “and it’s close to midnight.”
You roll your eyes. “I’m an adult now, I don’t have to adhere to a midnight curfew, like I’m fucking Cindarella.”
Mai raises an eyebrow at you from the profanity, recognizing the fact that it’s something you just forced into your vocabulary in a way that doesn’t suit you. “I already said no.”
“Take me or else I’m going to tell your mom about the nipple piercings you got last week.”
Mai hisses a sharp breath through her teeth. “You’re a bitch.”
“Take me,” you deadpan.
She tilts her head back so that it hits the metal of the door, and then she’s pushing her back against it to open it, the rush of cold wind from outside brushing past the two of you as she steps into the night and you follow her. “Oh my god, fine. But only for a little bit, and let’s get the lie straight right now–you had explosive diarrhea at the concert so I couldn’t take you home right away since you were incapacitated in the restrooms.”
“What? Why do I have to be the one with explosive diarrhea?” you ask, frown on your face but there’s a skip to your step as you follow her down the street to where she very poorly parallel parked and you open the passenger side door. She doesn’t bother answering you as she settles into the driver’s seat and her car roars to life with a few struggling turns of the key in ignition.
“No drinking,” Mai says, voice strict with eyes locked on yours, and it’s the last thing she says before she starts driving.
The house is just a few miles from the venue location, and Mai seems to have been there before since she turns the navigation off once she turns onto a street that has her driving switch to from perusal to more casual.
Gojo is the one to greet you two at the door with wide eyes and a drink in his hand. You notice he’s changed out of his stage attire into something more casual, and likely in a rush too since his hair is disheveled, and you figured that you and Mai barely got here after they did. The surprised look on his face is quick to turn into a pleased one at the sight of the two of you. “Oh sweet you two actually came,” he comments, waving a hand for you two to come inside, “figured Kamo would’ve scared you off.”
You roll your eyes, “where is that jerk? I still have a few choice words for him.”
“Babes, let it go,” Mai sighs, “Not worth your time.”
“I concur,” Gojo says, “but, if you really want, he’s upstairs putting some of my stuff he borrowed for tonight’s show back into my room. You can…” he glances down at you once, “uh. Cuss him to death? Or whatever you can manage, I guess. But just don’t fuck on my bed, please. That’s my only rule.”
“Why do you sound like that’s a rule you’ve had to make often?” Mai scoffs, amused, while your cheeks feel hot.
Gojo slumps his shoulders in some type of comical defeat. “I don’t wanna talk about it…” he mumbles, voice trailing off and turning on his heel to walk away while Mai follows him off with more follow-up questions he doesn’t seem receptive to answering.
Your eyes glance over to the staircase, studying for a moment as loud party music fills your ears before making your way over and up the steps. As you head down the hallway leading into bedrooms, the floorboards creak until your sneakers even over soft carpet, and you hear soft sounds of clattering off to the left. There’s a door that’s half ajar leading into a warmly lit room, and you deftly peek your head through the opening.
Choso stands near the foot of the bed inside a messy room, black boxes and cases and wires surrounding him as he fumbles with unplugging some sort of audio station pad from another piece of hardware. His hand grips tightly around the thick black rubber coating of the wire, and you watch the flex of his knuckles that tense the veins running up his arm, sleeve of the shirt he’s worn all night stretching to accommodate the roll of muscle at his upper arm. With a solid yank, the chord releases itself before the wire whacks him straight in the face and he grumbles a fuck under his breath and he rubs the skin of his cheek, to which you can’t help but let out a small laugh at the sight of.
His furrowed and frustrated expression turns into surprise as his eyes flicker to the entrance of the room. He stands up straight, and then there’s that bored expression again. “Oh. Shortcake. I thought I said you’ve got no business being here.”
“Yeah, about that, I’m waiting for you to apologize to me,” you say, leaning sideways against the doorframe as you cross your arms over your chest.
He sighs, eyes moving away from yours to busy himself with the jungle of equipment he’s practically drowning in, as if he couldn’t be bothered by your presence right now. “Apologize for what?”
You make your way inside the room, foot pushing aside anything sprawled on the floor that’s in your way so you can continue to approach him, and you stop just when you’re just a step away. His gaze is still set to the ground as he’s crouched over slightly, but it shifts from the speaker he was toying with to the shape of your shoes instead.
“Apologize to me for being so crass,” you say, “after we had just met.”
He slowly straightens his spine, and you’re a little shocked to find the height that he has on you. His expression is curious, eyes narrowing slightly like he has you all figured out already, and it pisses you off. “Crass is such a prissy word to use, princess. Try ‘apologize to me for being a massive dick’ or something, and I’ll start to take you more seriously.”
“Why are you so rude?” you ask, anger building up inside of you all of a sudden. “I’ve barely met you, I don’t see how I could’ve upset you in any way. Yet you’ve already insulted me in multiple ways tonight, and it’s not a cool look for you. Trust me.”
“You’re the one that basically called me a crackhead,” he counters, but there’s no real offense behind it.
“Yeah, because you called me a kid,” you say, face tightening even further with anger, “even though I’m an adult.”
He sighs, closing his eyes in irritation, and tilts his head up to look at the ceiling briefly as his mouth hangs slightly open, all as if he’s running thin of the capacity to deal with this conversation, and then he looks back down at you again. “Shortcake, I didn’t call you a kid ‘cause of your age. I called you a kid ‘cause you’re just so–” he starts, eyes traveling down your body paired with a vague gesture of his hand towards all of you, and you find yourself shifting on your feet to stand a little more poised, “you just seem so innocent and clueless and, uh, forgive me, naive.”
“You’re the clueless one here if you still think negging a girl will get you anywhere with her,” you say, hands clenched in fists at your side now.
There’s a hint of a smirk on his face as he tilts his head at you, some of his dark hair falling over his forehead from the motion and a few strands weave with his eyelashes. “I’m not trying to get anywhere with you here, sweetheart, unless you’re wanting that,” he says, voice almost purred at the end as he steps over a guitar case on the floor to get closer to you.
You’re unable to make eye contact with him when he’s close and you can smell the earthy notes of his cologne, mixed with another scent that seems more distinctly him that makes your head spin. Your gaze takes in the sight of his forearm, the one with scattered tattoos trailing up his arm but not yet fully inked in. You wonder what he’s saving the space for, and what he’s willing to let in.
When your gaze flickers up to his face again, you’re a little surprised to see his expression is softer. He suddenly holds his forearm up in front of you. Your eyes signal confusion to him, but he just keeps his arm up the same.
“You’ve been ogling my tattoos since we met,” he says, voice low, “if you’re curious, then just have a closer look.”
Your breath picks up in speed, and you hesitate for a moment but it’s true. You were curious. Your hands shakily hold onto his forearm to keep it still as you study the ink on his skin. You twist his arm as much as his joint allows, and he lets you handle him in any way you want, and you swear the snake tattooed on his skin moves as if it were alive. A dark blossoming rose with highlights of burgundy red catches your eye near his elbow, and you brush the back of your hand against it. Your fingers accidentally find his pulse at his wrist, and you find his heart is beating fast.
You run a flat palm up his arm, the skin to skin contact feeling intimate, and your fingers stop when they tuck under the fabric of his sleeve. You feel the warmth and curve of his bicep, lightly wrapping your hand around it, and you blush at the sight of how small your hand looks on him.
“What does this one mean?” you ask, not meaning for it to come out as a whisper, but you feel like his answer is meant to be kept a secret. Your thumb swipes over small roman numerals permanently etched into him over muscle.
“It’s my dad’s military tag,” he responds, voice quiet like yours.
You tear your gaze away from his skin to look up at him, and you realize he’s closed enough distance between the two of you to where his face is just inches away. From the moment you looked up, his eyes have been on your lips, and his brow furrows as if he’s fighting some voice in his head that’s testing this harmony between the two of you in this moment.
You swear he’s about to kiss you, since there could be no other explanation for the way he was looking at you, but instead he clears his throat and his face is first to distance from you before he pulls his arm back as well, and then a small step backwards. “Sorry,” he says, and he almost sounds awkward. It startles you, because it’s the first time he doesn’t sound cool or calm or collected.
“That-” you start, “...wait, what are you sorry for?”
His eyes widen, and you see the heaviness under them for a moment, “uhh…I’m actually not too sure.”
Your head feels clear now that he’s not close enough to breathe in, and you blink a few times as your annoyance from earlier resurfaces amidst the lingering energy he just broke between you two. “Start with ‘I’m sorry for calling you a kid, and then also just now calling you naive and clueless,’” you say, foot tapping impatiently, “and then, in front of all your bandmates, mocking the fact I’m not old enough to drink, and shamelessly traveling your eyes over me, and then–” your breath catches slightly as the words fail to leave your tongue, cheeks feeling hot, “and then saying–” you try again, but the thought only falls flat, and he’s taking a step closer to you again.
“And then saying that you’re old enough to fuck?” he asks, finishing your sentence for you, but there’s no remorse in his tone at all.
His hand suddenly finds the small of your back and he pushes gently so you take a stumbled step towards him, like he needed to have you close to him again. His lips brush against the top of your head, and the sensation sends a hot feeling through your chest. “Choso,” you reprimand him.
“Fuck,” he exhales, like in cynical disbelief, “my name sounds so sweet coming from you.”
It makes no sense, but you grip his shirt at his chest just to make contact with him, and you brave yourself to look up at him, wondering if he can see the hint of worry in your eyes, because he already feels like something you can’t resist.
His eyes are dark now, different from the tenderness in them before, and he’s freely studying the features of your face. “I don’t want to fuck you, Shortcake, if that’s what you’re worried about. You’re a little too good for me to do something like that.”
His words say one thing while his eyes say another, his arm wrapping around your waist to keep you close, and you’re astonished at how little he cares about the clear contradiction in his words from the way he holds you. His gaze slowly travels down from your eyes to your lips.
“What about–” you start, heart beating fast in your chest as you see the glimmer of the silver ring pierced through his lip. You bite back the words.
But he reads your mind, because his head dips down towards yours and he captures your lips in his, slow and sweet at first before pressing more firmly, more decisively with both hands flying to hold your waist. A moan muffles in your throat at the sensation of his bare fingers coyly traveling under the hem of your shirt, and you can’t help but slide your arms up over his shoulders, locking them behind his neck to pull him down closer to you, and he sighs in response as he presses your hips flush against him. The chill metal of his lip ring has the plush of your bottom lip tingling cold, and when his tongue swipes across to warm it for you, your mouth opens with ease. You taste spearmint on his tongue, and his lips curve against yours in what feels like an amused smile, large hands now slid so far up your shirt that his fingers reach the band of your bra.
“Hey, Cho, do you know where–”
The trill of a feminine voice in the air cuts through harshly, and he pulls his lips from yours but not without a moment of reluctance. You two turn your head to the door, and you see Sana standing there, eyes wide and blinking as she takes in the sight of the two of you standing in what feels like a guilty proximity from how her eyes silently curse you.
You can only manage an awkward laugh, fist shoving against Choso’s shoulder but his hands are still placed firmly on the curve over your lower back, dangerously close to the plush of your ass, and your hips are practically pinned to him while you do all you can to lean your upper body away. “Oh–sorry, this…is not what it looks like–”
“I…” Sana starts, and you can see the hurt in her expression, but she quickly corrects it, “Oh! Ah, was just lookin’ for Cho here,” she says, making her way into the room, and a harsh shove of your fist against Choso’s chest finally has him relenting to let you go. Your posture immediately stiffens when she approaches Choso’s side, and she playfully pushes his arm but the effort is weak. “Kissing girls in Satoru’s room is seriously not a good idea, Cho. That freak probably has cameras in here to make sure people don’t bump uglies in his room again after that New Year’s party.”
Choso gives her a pointed look, like he wasn’t caught up on that drama, but you’re just standing there with your eyes flicking between the familiarity of the two people standing in front of you. Why wasn’t Sana jealous? She was looking at you ten seconds ago like she was a whole lot of jealous.
“What are you looking for?” Choso asks her, and she holds her red plastic solo cup with her drink in it out for him to hold as she crouches down to the floor to sift through the equipment now surrounding the three of you.
“My lucky mic,” she says, “Gojo said it’d be here.” There’s a hint of something in her voice, something that mirrors betrayal if you’re perceptive enough.
You watch Choso lick his lips once, eyes darting to you, before he’s crouching down too to help her look. “For something that allegedly means a lot to you, you sure do a shit job at looking out for it,” he comments with a sigh before pulling out a black case from under three other ones and handing it to her. “It’s here.”
“I’m–” you say, taking a step back and almost tripping over a guitar case, “I’m, um, going to head downstairs. Mai is probably looking for me.”
Choso raises an eyebrow at you from where he’s still crouched down next to Sana, and he’s about to speak when Sana cuts him off.
“Okay. Bye,” she says, still rummaging through things mindlessly even though she had already been given what she was looking for.
Choso makes a move to stand up, like he wants to see you out the door, but Sana’s hand grabs him by his forearm, eyes still not meeting his, and there’s a beat of confusion in his eyes as he studies the side of her face. But you know what sort of look she probably has in her eyes right now, and you know only because you’re also a girl, and all girls know what it’s like when a guy you love doesn’t want you in the way that you want him. All you can do at this moment is feel sorry for her.
The atmosphere in the room begins to suffocate, and you head out of the door in a rush.

present day. summer.
“He kissed ya the day he met ya? Hmph! That wouldn’t fly with me,” the man seated beside you says, his grip on the steering wheel tightening as he shifts slightly in his seat to puff his chest out.
“Hmm,” you hum as you look out the window wistfully, memories that you had locked up for so many years opened like a pandora box that fills your chest with warmth but has your fingers trembling with anxiety because you know how it all ends. “You wouldn’t…let a man kiss you on the first day he met you?”
The driver humors you with a hearty laugh from his chest, at least. “Not talkin’ about it that way, darlin’. I’m talkin’ about my daughters. I’ve got two girls of my own. A man should keep his hands to himself the first time he meets a lady. At least that’s what I’ve taught ‘em.”
There’s a small smile that tugs at your lips at his words, the love he has for his daughters heard clearly through his strict tone. You left out a lot of the details that probably would’ve angered him on your behalf even more, so the fact he still ended up getting worked up about it has you a little amused and reflective at the same time. “How old are your daughters?” you ask, tucking strands of your hair behind your ear, watching the wind-rustled plains of grass that you two have been driving by for a while now.
“They’re a little younger than you,” he comments, his expression now a bit more serious, “one just graduated from college, she’s startin’ more school in the city soon, and the other’s still in highschool. She’s turning sixteen next week.”
“Ah, sixteen,” you muse, “that’s a confusing age.”
“You got that right,” he gruffs, “the other day, she called me on my way home from work to bring some drink called a boba. Fifty-two years of life and I never even knew there was a damn thing called a boba! Why would anyone want swirlin’ stuff in their drink?! Anyways, the shop got her order wrong, and when I brought it home, she refused to drink it, called me the worst dad ever, then stormed upstairs to slam the door on her room. I turn to my wife, and she’s shakin’ her head at me like I’m the one that did something wrong!”
You laugh, then press your lips into a smile. “I’d have to agree with her on that,” you joke, and he lets out another disgruntled noise that has you laughing again.
“Yeah, yeah, I’ve lived with my wife and those two girls for over two decades,” he sighs. “I’m used to it by now. All three are equally pains in my ass, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Your smile drops a little as you look at him more contemplatively. There’s a glimmer in his eyes as he speaks, and you realize it’s familiar, but the answer of where you’ve seen it before fails to arrive.
“My youngest,” he starts again, “she’s been listenin’ to really loud music lately.” He presses one of the buttons underneath the AC vents, static noises coming to life before he changes the output to bluetooth. “My wife says it’s some sort of phase, but I’m not likin’ the music. Always sounding tempered and inappropriate.” He plays a song from his phone paired to the car, speakers flowing with music, and a chill runs down your spine the moment the first few notes fill your ears. A song so painfully familiar, so connected to your soul it’s as if your heart still keeps time with it to this day.
“See what I’m talkin’ about?” the man says, “Lots of words about skin and cigarettes.” With a shake of his head, he lowers the volume. “She’s obsessed with this band, it’s probably a band similar to your old lover’s from the sound of it. She’s got posters of ‘em up on the wall, and she took the picture of us on our first fishing trip together out of the picture frame on her desk and replaced it with this man. This silly-lookin’ white-haired man that always looks like he’s just pretending he knows how to play a guitar. Hmph! She keeps saying ‘dad, I wanna go to their concert!’ There’s no way in hell I’m allowing that.”
You stare down at your lap, brow furrowed from the realization flashing through your head, and your thumb nervously passes over the skin of your other hand. In your periphery, you see him glance over at you once, and he sighs before stopping the music and speaking up again.
“It’s fine,” he says, “my youngest got her sister into the same band, and she likes one of the other ones. Plays bass. He’s too rough-lookin’ for my daughter. Arms covered in tattoos, he’s even got some on his face! She keeps dreamin’ about havin’ him for a boyfriend, but if she brought that home, there’s no way I’d approve. I’d scare him off with my rifle.”
Your heart is beating fast in your chest, and you realize what a small world it is. Or, you realize just how big Choso’s world must be now. So much bigger than he or any of the other members of his band could’ve ever imagined. For once in a lifetime, so rare and pure, are dreams that are fully realized.
“Gosh,” you respond when you realize you’ve been lost in your own revelations for too long, “that’s an…extreme response. You sound like my father, though.”
“Hm,” he responds, “I’m sure. Did your father approve of this lover of yours? The one that’s makin’ moves on you so fast and too soon?”
You lean back in your seat with your head hitting the headrest. It’s been years since you’ve felt like you’re being lectured or reprimanded for anything, but the feeling comes back to you at this moment as if no time had passed at all. No matter how old you get, you’ll never forget how humbling the feeling was when you thought you knew everything at eighteen, just to look back and realize you didn’t have a single clue.
You sigh. “No. He didn’t approve. Far from it.”

Welcome The Teacher
IMAGINE: WELCOME THE TEAHCER ~ GOJO X READER FEAT: MEGUMI, NOBARA, YUJI. GENRE: FLUFF cw: italics means they are speaking in english. not proof read. *****************
“Gojo-sensei, why are we getting an English teacher again?” Yuji asks his teacher as all four of them sit in their homeroom.
Gojo leans back into his chair, feet kicked up against the desk. He didn’t really care about this topic since it didn’t benefit him at all. He had no interest in meeting a new teacher. Especially one who only spoke English.
“Hell if I know.” “Eh?”
Megumi rolls his eyes, not really surprised by his teacher's lack of answer. Megumi turns to his classmates, “we’re getting an English teacher because there have been reports of curses in other areas other than Japan. So they’re saying it’s important that we get along with sorcerers from other countries. That’s why we’re learning English. So we can communicate.”
Gojo inwardly scoffs to himself. If they wanted to get along, maybe they should learn how to speak Japanese instead. Well that was his thought process of it, and somewhat right about it. However, it was also a cover that he didn’t learn English that well either.
“Why do you know this?” Yuji asks. “Yaga-sensei filled me in since Gojo-sensei failed to show up.” “Ugh, that sounds like him.” Nobara chirps up.
Gojo drastically sighs, ready to complain about how his students think so little of him. However, the bell rings and he shoots up out of his seat. An annoying grin on his face, “well! That’s my cue to leave. So much to do today. Anyway, have fun~” He sings before flashing out of the room.
A minute later, the door slides open and an unknown person enters the room.
It didn’t take long for them to figure out it was their new English teacher. However, they weren’t expecting you.
They were expecting an old man who was going to read them boring books.
Instead, they were met with a young teacher who had a lot of pep in their step. They carried a bag and a cup in their hand. *******
“Hello!” You say while placing your things down on the desk. You didn’t see their homeroom teacher in sight, which meant that he already left. You were already warned about him… how he could be a bit annoying at times. However, you were a trained teacher so you knew how to deal with childish people.
“My name is Ms. (L/n), and I will be your English teacher. I hope we learn a lot together.”
You eye the three students in front you. Two of them were wearing a dumbfounded look on their faces. You found it a bit amusing.
One student with black spiky hair, who you could already tell that he was the most sensible one of the group.
“As you know, this is an English class. So we will only be speaking English, do you understand?”
The two students turned to the black haired boy. “What did she say?” They both ask him. “She’s telling us that we can only speak English.” He answers.
He turns back to you, “yes ma’am.” He answers you and the two other students hesitantly repeat after him. You smile with a nod, “great. Let’s start with introductions. Start with your name and something that you like. You can start first.” You tell the black haired boy.
He nods, standing up from his chair. The other two students look at him with wide eyes, interested to hear him. “My name is Megumi Fushiguro. I’m a second grade sorcerer, and I like to read nonfiction books. I hope we get along.” Megumi says before sitting down.
“Very good Megumi! Nice to meet you.” You say, impressed with how smoothly he spoke English. You look over at the other two students who looked at him amazed.
“Wow Megumi-” They start but you cut them off. “English please.”
Both of them stopped and you could tell that they were thinking for a bit. “Good job.” “Nice!”
You chuckle and look at the only female student, “you’re up next.” She points to herself, “me?” “Yes.”
She stands up and she’s silent for a bit, like she was thinking about what to say. “Eh.. My name is Nobara Kugisaki… and I like… shopping!” You smile while writing down some notes. “That’s great, Nobara. It is nice to meet you.”
Nobara smiles at herself, proud of her own little accomplishment. “Thank you.” She says while sitting down. You turn to the last student. The boy with pinkish hair with an undercut. “Your turn.”
The boy immediately stands up, and you could tell he was just full of energy. “My name is Yuji Itadori!” There was a pause in between his speech, “and… I like Jennifer Lawrence.” He says and you nod while writing down some more notes. You could hear some small groans from his classmate.
“Like the actress, Jennifer Lawrence?” “Yes… you know?”“Are you asking me if I know her?” He nodded his head and you had to hold back a snicker.
“No… No, I do not know her Yuji.”
A look of disappointment painted his face, “oh.” “Thank you Yuji. It’s nice to meet you.”
Yuji sits down with a content look on his face. Content that he got through that so far.
“Alright, let’s get started!” You say as you start your lesson **********
The bell dings, signaling that class is over and it’s time for lunch.
“All right,” you look at the watch on your wrist, “why don’t I take you out for lunch? I’ll pay.”
Yuji’s eyes light up hearing something about lunch. He didn’t need to know anything else. “Yes!” He shouts and you nod your head with a smile. You were quite fond of the students already, despite only knowing them for an hour.
“Any place you want to go?” Megumi asks. You thought about it for a bit and realized that you weren’t familiar with the streets of Tokyo.
“I’m fine with anything. I don’t know much of the area yet.”
Megumi nods, turning to his friends to ask what they wanted to eat. They all decided on sushi.
“That sounds great. Let’s go.” You say, grabbing your bag. Nobara, Yuji, and Megumi follow you out of the school. Two of the students had a bit of a skip in their step.
You turn to Megumi when the three of you exit the school. You ask him to lead the way since you have no idea what place they had chosen. As Megumi led the way, he kept glancing at you. Wondering about your curse abilities. You didn’t have a strong curse energy coming off of you, but he could tell that you were confident, which led him to be more curious about you.
“Is this the place?” You ask when you see a sushi place. “Yes.” Megumi answers you, and then leads you into the place.
It wasn’t long until the four of you were sitting down, looking over the menu. Megumi watches as your eyes scan over the menu, deciding what you are going to get. He wonders if you were able to read the information just fine.
Just as he was going to ask if you needed help, you looked up at your three students. “Ready to order?”
All of them nod. You raise your hand, grabbing the waiter's attention. It wasn’t long until the waiter was taking your order. Taking the student’s order first and then he turned to you. Megumi was about to jump in to see if you needed help.
“Can I have water, and an order of the Oshiko Maki?”
The waiter nods and leaves to get what you asked for.
You look over at your students. All three of them had a surprised look on their faces. “You speak Japanese?!” Nobara and Yuji shouts. “Yes. I wouldn’t move to Japan without learning the language first. All though I wouldn’t say I’m fluent.”
“Wow! You’re Japanese is so good (l/n)-sensei.” Yuji comments and you wave him off. “You’re just being nice.”
“So wait, can we speak to you in Japanese outside the classroom?” Nobara asks. “Hmm, I sometimes. I would like for you to practice your English as much as you can.”
Your students nod as the food comes. The four of you continue to eat in silence, sometimes speaking up to ask you a question.
Suddenly, your phone dings, signifying that lunch is over and you should head back to the school. “Alright, let’s head back to school.” You say and head back to Jujutsu High.
********
When the four of you entered the classroom, a tall man with white hair and a black blindfold covering his eyes was leaning against the teachers desk.
“Ah, there you are.” He speaks to his students, before he finally looks at you.
He was a bit shocked to see you there. Mainly because he wasn’t expecting the new English teacher to be so cute.
“Wow, Megumi. You didn’t tell me that the new teacher is cute.”
You perk up at his words, feeling slightly embarrassed by his words. However, you don’t say anything, not letting him know that you understand him. You wanted to hear what else he was going to say.
Megumi looks over at you, and you just shake your head.
“That’s weird. I’m not telling you about my teacher.” “Whatever. You should… you know, get to know her. And then tell me about them. Okay?” He grins mischievously at the boy and Nobara just sighs.
“You’re so stupid.”
Megumi rolls his eyes, “no. Do it yourself.” “Eh?! But I don’t speak English.” “Well you better learn.”
You watch their interaction, coming to realize that the rumors were true. Gojo Satoru is a dramatic man. And it was quite funny.
You just smile as you watch them bicker back and forth. You then look over at the time, realizing it was time for you to go.
“Well,” You start, “I have to go. Enjoy the rest of your day.” You grab your things and start to leave the classroom.
“Bye!” Gojo shouts in English, which almost catches you off guard. “Goodbye,” You wave with a smile.
Gojo watches as you leave, a goofy smile placed on his face.
“God, their smile is so pretty.”
Megumi rolls his eyes again, “please don’t talk about my teacher that way.” “Eh?! But I’m your teacher too! You should help me out with them.” “I’m still not doing that.” “Yeah, that’s just disgusting.” Nobara says.
“It’s okay Gojo-sensei. I believe in you!”
“Thank you Yuji-kun.” **********
fin.
a/n: I'm thinking about doing a part two, where Gojo tries to talk to the reader but his english is terrible, so it's just going to be a mess. What do you think?

Zombie Apocalypse: Yandere Jujutsu Kaisen (1)
A family that fights together stays together
And that family is exactly who you have to get the approval of at the closest refuge called the fortress
“Alright pipsqueaks weapons out and backpacks empty! If you don’t want to be shot, I don’t want any surprises!”
Never before would you have imagined a teen with a hammer to be so intimidating
But then again you never thought you’d actually survive in a Zombie Apocalypse
Doing as she says, you get to avoid her wrath
But not her gaze
“Hey, you!”
“M-me??”
“Yeah, you! Where’d you get that yellow wristband.”
“The guy who saved me gave it to me, I think.”
“Is that so….Alright, you with me now.”
“What!?” “You can’t separate us we’re in a group!”
“Do you want a nail in the forehead? No? Then you with me!”
You follow behind her as she takes you through the pristine halls of the fortress
“Can I ask why I’m wearing the yellow wristband?”
“....I guess you could. But I’m not going to answer though.”
“Why?”
She gives you a smirk from over her shoulder
Turning she takes a while to circle you that smile never leaving her face
“Maybe it’s cause you have a nice smile. Anyway, we can’t keep ‘em waiting.”
You wanted to ask who she was talking about
But you felt like you’d find out soon enough
Opening two grand metallic doors to show an extensive lab
In the middle is a head scientist with long black hair with goggles on his head
“Nobara?”
“I’ve got you’re yellow bogey right here!”
She hugs you into her side walking up to him
Presenting your arm, he takes your wrist looking at the band before smiling up at you
“I’m Suguru Geto welcome to the fortress!”
Suguru takes you from there waving off the other scientists to lead you to what looks like a doctor’s office
“Hope you don’t mind but I’m going to have to run a few tests. You know for safety.”
He personally takes your blood and gives you vaccines
Asking about your time all the while and getting to know you
Once you’re done he leads you again to a bedroom attached to a bathroom with a view of the fortress’ living space
“This is where me and my friends will stay?”
“Just you for now. I’ve got to make sure your tests come back okay before you join them. In the meantime how about I help you unpack?”
He does just that continuing to chat until you tiredly retire
It’s so nice
To be able to shower, to shave, to sleep in a soft bed
“--shouldn’t scare them.”
“Keep them away and occupied. Got it.”
“Uhm who are you?”
When you wake up your greeted by two teens one with black hair and one with pink
“Welcome to the Fortress! My name’s Yuuji and that’s Megumi~”
“Hello.”
“We’re going to show you around!”
You get dressed in the new clothes they provide
Following closely as they show you around
“So (Y/n) what did you do before? What do you do now? Can I hold your hand?”
“Uh okay?”
“Sorry about him…he’s just excited to meet someone new.”
You spend the whole day with them
Looking all around the fortress showing you the farms, the sewing mills, the armory, the kitchens
it all feels so amazing
“Hey, do you know where the other survivors stay?”
“Of course I do it’s–”
“A very specific clearance is needed to go over there. You’ll have to ask Gojo.”
“Gojo?”
“GOJO!”

september 2019 - junior year
"everyone open theirs at the same time, got it?"
"but mine's got tape on it!"
"shut up, yuji."
"i already opened mine."
you dived across the table to snatch the paper out of megumi's hands, throwing him a look of irritation because of how he'd spoiled the entire thing. it only irked you further when he had the audacity to fix you with a glare himself.
"you just couldn't help yourself, could you?" you snapped, placing his timetable face down on the table, refraining from looking at it before he could despite the devil on your left shoulder whispering sweet nothings in your ear.
you gave in and flipped the sheet over. he ruined the order of things anyway, what was the point of adhering to the rules he never listened to to begin with?
"megumi!" you gasped, feeling enraged as you stared down at his timetable.
out of the nine classes you had, pre-calculus was the only one you shared with megumi. to your disbelief, you didn't even share homeroom, so the only other chances to see him were during study hall, break, and lunch, which felt far too short to make up for the overwhelming imbalance.
it didn't make sense, now that you analysed it further. with all the classes available, how was it that pre-calc was the only one you had in common? you felt a nagging frustration, trying to wrap your head around the fact that your paths would now cross so little this year despite the fact that you used to be attached to the hip before. every other subject offered countless opportunities to stick together, yet here you were, navigating a maze of schedules that kept you apart.
you caught yuji and nobara in your peripheral vision, both comparing their own timetables and bickering simultaneously.
megumi was a genius, extremely academically gifted, especially in stem. when it came to any branch of math, the kid aced every exam effortlessly.
and you weren't the worst at it, some would argue..?
the more you thought about it, the more bewildered you became — how could you end up sharing the one class that exposed all your weaknesses, the same one that he excelled in?
he flinched when your voice suddenly rose once more:
"you're taking ap stats?" you demanded, only just realising that he had one extra lesson than you, yuji, and nobara. it was at the very top of the table, labelled 'period 0'.
"don't give him an opportunity to act more pompous than he already is," scoffed nobara, looking uninterested. you did not comment on how she still peeked over the sheet when she thought you weren't looking.
"wow," yuji began, looking pleasantly in awe at megumi's hefty schedule. he leaned back in his seat, careful not to pull himself too far back in the event that he might fall off. you secretly wished that he would, if only to stifle your current shock. "so you'll start the day earlier... won't you be exhausted when we get to football practice?"
that was a good question. since coach yaga had stubbornly given both megumi and yuji spots on the school's football team, it had since been announced that practice would take place every day after school unless otherwise mentioned. with megumi's mornings starting earlier than the rest of you, and his days finishing later, he was bound to be torn down with exhaustion. although he acted like a robot all the time (eat, sleep, make a rude comment about you, repeat) he was still a human who needed rest. more school meant more social interaction. more social interaction meant a drained megumi. things would only go south from there.
he shrugged at the question.
"i'll be fine," he answered, unbothered.
you disagreed. "you'll die —"
"— revive me with your mermaid abilities then —"
you hoped you pinched him hard enough to bruise.
"wait," you said, halting your attack on him with a slow frown. he took the opportunity to rip your hands off his ribs and shuffled away from you. you ignored him, sliding down to sit hip-to-hip with him. "if you do ap stats in the morning, we can't walk to school together."
for the nth time that day, megumi snatched back his timetable from you.
"good luck," he said, eyes half-lidded with that ever-present air of indifference. "you cross the road like you have nine lives."
"you basically just told her that you wouldn't care if she died," yuji intervened, quick to jump to your defence despite the many times you would argue with him, too.
you glanced at him, eyes naturally drifting down to the obvious tan line on his neck from the vacation the four of you had attended with your family in the summer.
nobara scoffed, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear before pointing, accusatory, at megumi. "this is what happens when you hype him up," said nobara, her finger jabbed at him with enough aggression, any outsider would probably assume that he'd committed blasphemy — you liked to think he had.
"i'm surrounded by idiots," you thought you heard him mutter, his voice low enough to almost go unheard, though the faint tightening of his jaw gave him away.
waving his timetable at him, you unknowingly creased the smooth sheet. "speak up, porcupine."
"do you hate it when he mumbles, mother gothel?" said yuji, randomly turning on you instead.
your head might have had a fifty-fifty chance of snapping right off your neck with how fast you'd turned it to face yuji with a glare. of all the things he could have thrown at you, why did he pick a tangled reference, one that barely bit at your core?
"first of all, what the hell?" you responded, visibly and audibly startled. "secondly, you were supposed to be on my side —"
"yeah i know," he replied, breaking out of his character to speak to you in that usual, gentle and low voice of his, the one you were much familiar with, "but i just remembered that megumi might leave me behind after football practice, so i can't take any chances."
"you're a traitor!"
"it's every man for himself!"
to no one's surprise (except for yuji's), nobara, seizing the moment you had created, sent his head crashing forwards against the table. she'd apparently been waiting for the perfect opportunity for it, and you had handed it to her on a silver platter.
"y/n, swap," she said, sliding her timetable down and waiting for you to make the exchange, barely registering the groan of pain and annoyance yuji had followed her demand with.
you shrugged and complied, exchanging yours for hers with pursed lips.
as you scanned nobara's timetable, you found yourself pouting less, pleased. half of your classes aligned perfectly with hers, from pre-calc to english — even p.e and homeroom, matched. the thought of surviving junior year alongside nobara was a hopeful silver lining. leaving megumi behind wouldn't be too bad, you noted in your had, glancing at his unnecessary scowl.
maybe this was done for a reason. if you spent too much time with him, the grumpy attitude would probably become contagious and you'd be the unfortunate one to catch it.
you watched him glare at nothing.
yeah, you definitely didn't want to become that.
"but we all have gojo at some point, right?" said nobara, her voice drawing your mind away from the undiagnosed disease your mind had planted megumi with.
you lined each of your timetables at the centre of the white, circular table, flicking yuji's head away to create more room for it. he lifted himself back up, scowling when you flicked at his hands next.
"we're all in different classes with him," you commented idly, tilting yuji's timetable a little further to read it more accurately.
"oh, you and i have physics with him together," you informed him, content and satisfied.
"hmph," yuji grunted, rubbing his forehead and throwing dirty looks at nobara from the side. despite this, however, you could see the way his ears had straightened up at your comment, also seemingly pleased with the shared class — it reminded you off the ash-blonde puppy you had seen last year, when you were looking for totalityfor megumi's birthday.
"i wanted ieiri," said megumi, taking his timetable back and glancing down at it, then to yuji's, and back again, seemingly making a comparison in his head.
"we all have her for chem," said nobara, leaning the upper half of her body over the table to glance over his sheet. "don't you?"
"yeah," he confirmed, sounding displeased. "and satoru for every other science. ap bio first period — no one needs to hear his voice that early in the morning."
yuji beamed, taking his paper away from the line of your timetables you'd created with it and shoving it down towards megumi's side of the table.
"don't worry megumi!" he'd said, his pearly white teeth showcased as he grinned. "we have ap biology together!"
megumi's eyes slowly shifted from yuji's overly enthusiastic face to his timetable, and then back again, completely unamused. his expression didn't change, and no words were exchanged as he remained deadpanned, yuji patiently awaiting his response; the excited sparkle in his eye dimming as each second went by in silence.
megumi blinked twice, offering a dry, "great. just what i needed."
yuji took that personally.
"hey —"
"gojo might be incredibly annoying," said nobara, cutting through yuji without a care in the world; she was frowning down at her own timetable, brows furrowed, "but i've never failed a class of his. ever." she looked up at you all with a grim expression over her face. "don't tell him i said that."
"you've got a point," you added thoughtfully. "you think he pulled a couple strings to have us in his classes this year?"
"oh for sure," said nobara, her response quick and short. "we have — what — over twenty different science teachers in the whole school and somehow every year without fail we're in his classes? tell me that's a coincidence."
as your friends discussed the things that satoru must have done in order to have each and every one of you in his classes this year, you stared down at your timetable, eyes glued down as something suddenly hit you in your mind.
you were now going to be lonely in performing arts due to the fact that nobara had switched majors. her electives were now filled with fashion design courses, her dream ever since the end of sophomore year, and you were glad she had finally come to pick something she found genuine joy in, but it still stung a little.
you sighed, almost feeling silly for missing something so trivial, but the thought of no longer having those shared moments with her in drama class left a hollow ache. it wasn't as if she hadn't told you this would happen during your vacation in the summer, yet the reality was harder to digest than you had initially anticipated.
"fashion design," you stated, as yuji and megumi found themselves immersed in a pointless argument about satoru and his questionable teaching methods. "i think mai was saying something about that the other day."
"yeah," said nobara, her voice suddenly gloomy as she deflated in her seat, eyes half-lidded and lips in a pout. "there's a workshop in the first class. the seniors are helping us."
a small, amused smirk tugged at the corner of your lips as she sulked in her seat. her exaggerated pout and half-lidded eyes made it impossible not to find the whole situation a bit funny. you rested your chin on your hand, observing the way she dragged her finger absentmindedly across the table's surface, a clear sign of how unenthusiastic she was about the whole thing.
nobara's disdain for her was no secret — mai, with her sharp tongue and competitive attitude, grated on nobara's nerves like nails on a chalkboard. they'd crossed paths during seventh grade, and from that point on, nobara had made it clear she had no interest in mai's condescending remarks or constant need to outshine everyone, especially in the fashion design world. it didn't help that they were often compared to each other when shopping, fuelling the unspoken rivalry between them.
"y'know, she's not that bad," you commented thoughtfully. you had also grown to like mai a bit better throughout the years.
megumi thought it was appropriate to intervene and add his own unwanted input (during the middle of his stupid back and forth with yuji, too).
"you're only saying that 'cause she's your blackmail partner," he'd said, furrowing his brows at you with a look of obvious impatience.
you did not even turn your head to face him when you responded.
"it's not blackmail," you countered slowly, as nobara raised her brows at you expectantly. "it's... making someone do something... by using... pieces of information... as... leverage!"
"that's literally the definition of blackmail —"
"shut up," you smiled politely.
"megumi!" yuji interrupted, shoving his phone in megumi's face with such enthusiasm, you would have thought he just found out that he was the chosen one at camp rock. "look!" he shook his phone aggressively. "brazil likes tan lines! no you have to look, megumi! it says they associate it with beach culture!"
megumi grimaced at the screen, his nostrils flaring as he slapped yuji's hand away.
"yeah, 'cause nothing says 'beach culture' like looking like a poorly toasted sandwich," he retorted, scowling when someone on the other table had shot him a sharp look.
you laughed, met with the sight of yuji in a defensive stance, eyes wide and brows furrowed at the dark haired boy sitting next to you. he was pointing at himself, at the two shades of skin on his neck, his fist clenched which only emphasised the veins running up his hand.
"you keep saying that like i didn't wear sunscreen, but i did!" he snapped, drawing the attention of the people passing by your table. megumi pinched the bridge of his nose as yuji went on, uncaring of the fact that almost every eye in the cafeteria was drawn to the four of you, courtesy of yuji and his unnecessarily loud speech. "i wore the kids one, but it's still sunscreen!"
"what brand?" asked nobara.
"nivea!"
"didn't they run tests for that one and find that it's actually a leading cause for skin cancer in its consumers?" you said, watching his face comically pale as he glanced down at his own hands, a lot darker than what they used to be like before the trip to italy.
yuji's brows knitted together, and the corner of his mouth twitched as if struggling to maintain composure, but the fear creeping into his wide eyes betrayed him. you could see the panic in the way he darted glances between his hands, his arms, and even under the table where his legs were, as though expecting to see something awful already happening.
nobara had taken the opportunity to scare him a little further, making up random statistics about non-existent kids who had reached critical condition due to the sheer amount of the product they'd used, and as she continued, his expression grew more strained, the color slowly draining from his cheeks, leaving him looking almost as pale as the white cast left behind the sunscreen he'd used.
your phone vibrated on the table, the screen lighting up with a text notification. you pressed the button to read it properly.
coffee-hose victim: Check if final pay-check was received
mandy.
you'd check later. you were in no rush, you decided, as you stared at the message briefly, feeling a dull sense of finality wash over you.
both you and megumi had been made redundant after the café shut down over the summer — an abrupt closure that neither of you had seen coming. mandy, your old manager, had been sorting out the final payments for the staff, promising to get things wrapped up even after the little shop was cleared out. now that everything was nearly done, you'd finally be able to delete her number from your phone, erasing the last trace of that chaotic job, of her.
but it also meant finding new jobs, and you refused to work without megumi by your side.
"we need to apply for jobs this week," you told him, showing him your home-screen that had mandy's notification banner at the very top. his eyes followed each word smoothly before looking back up to meet your gaze. "probably not hospitality ever again."
"i'd work at miss B's if she ever let us," said megumi, as you placed your phone back down and silently nodded in agreement. "i like her."
"mind saying that again?" you grinned, lifting it back up and having it hover near his mouth that had been set in a straight line the second he saw your lip curl. "i want to make it my ringtone."
"shut up," he snapped, slapping your wrist away quite like he had done with yuji not even five minutes ago. you laughed but complied anyway. having megumi's voice as a ringtone would make it so that you would never actually pick up the calls. he frowned at you. "come over to mine and we'll apply then."
you threw him a sideways look. "no, you come over to mine."
he furrowed his brows at you.
"what difference does it make?" he asked, his eyes critiquing your every move. nothing out of the ordinary.
you sighed loudly; someone might have assumed you were in the middle of a chore.
"if i see toji, i'm going to be tempted to make fun of him. i'll get distracted," you explained, shaking your head at your friend as though it had been the most easiest thing, and he had failed to understand. "top of the class and yet you're not the exactly the brightest crayon in the box, are you?"
"shut up," he repeated for the second time in the very same minute.
nobara turned her head slowly, deliberately, her sharp eyes narrowing as they landed on megumi. there was a brief, almost theatrical pause before her lips curled slightly at the corners, (the way they did when she was about to say something cutting) as the dim light of the cafeteria above you all caught the sharp angle of her cheekbones.
"megumi, i can not argue with idiot number one," she began, lifting her chin to gesture at a pale yuji, "when you, idiot number two, keep telling someone to shut up. how about you shut up for a change, huh?"
megumi narrowed his eyes at her. "i'm the only one out of the four of us that only speaks when spoken to."
she gawked at him. "you calling us chatterboxes?"
"i'm saying that when either of your mouths open, the stuff that comes out of it is never relevant nor necessary."
the three of you sat in silence, each watching him with different expressions on your faces.
and megumi felt the need to clarify:
"none of your statements are of any substance —"
"we get it!" snapped nobara, her gaze cutting and sharp. she took enough care to kick him beneath the table, which only began the onslaught of physical attacks, one you joined in for the sole purpose of bullying megumi. you thought he deserved it this time.
as the assault continued, something clicked, and you pulled back from the friendly fire. watching megumi's face — strained and faintly exasperated — you remembered something nobara had mentioned weeks ago about the family's international dojo business, which was the zenin's main source of income and how they were so incredibly rich.
it was easy to forget sometimes; the quiet, slightly reserved megumi you knew now didn't quite fit the image of someone being groomed to run an international dojo and martial arts empire, but as he braced himself for nobara's next jab, you couldn't shake the thought: he was taking business classes, which only further supported your idea, and for a moment, you considered the irony of seeing him here, bickering with you all instead of learning the ropes of the large business awaiting him.
"hey," you said, tapping his shoulder and flinching when he turned to look down at you so suddenly.
"what?" he snapped, but only after swiping nobara's timetable off the table and onto the floor when she kicked him on his funny-bone. he was blinking hard at you, as though trying to clear his vision of the black spots contaminating his sight.
"oh excuse me for wanting to help mr dominant-alpha-wolf out," you shot back, hands raised mockingly. when he scowled at you and patiently (yet reluctantly) waited for you to continue, you went on. "talking about applying for jobs, why don't you just get some business experience at ten shadows?"
the zenin clan's dojo, ten shadows, specialised in jujutsu — a tradition they shared with the gojo's and, of course, the kamo clan too. it was where uncle ogi spent most of his time in, and where toji spent none of his time in.
megumi didn't seem to like that idea, regarding you with furrowed brows and a scrunched nose.
"so i can spend all day with uncle ogi?" he retorted, and despite your initial idea still standing tall in your mind, you had to silently admit to yourself that he raised a good point. uncle ogi was funny when he was angry (which tended to be ninety-nine percent of the time) but you could only take so much of that in one day. knowing him, he'd probably force you to work nightshifts with no breaks. "no thanks," megumi voiced, unimpressed with the suggestion.
"why don't you just lie on your application forms and stuff?" yuji suggested, his mouth in a straight line. it seemed that he had not got over the sunscreen scare just yet. "i did."
"you lied about working at ten shadows?" you asked, brows raised and eyes wide. "that's an international dojo. they go world-wide. global. your employers will find out."
yuji shook his head, raising his hand to wave it at you dismissively. "no, not there," he scoffed, smiling widely. "what do you think i am, huh? stupid?"
no one said anything; he sat up defensively.
"hey —"
"so what place did you lie about then?" nobara cut through him, literally pulling him out of his stance by his elbow.
he shrugged her off with a scowl, but answered nonetheless.
"gojo said i could say i worked at his family's pharmacy."
everyone around the table went still, eyes widening as they processed what yuji had just casually revealed. megumi blinked, caught off guard, while you tilted your head, brows raised at his unexpected response. it was only nobara, however, who looked thoroughly impressed, her lips curling as she nudged him with a newfound admiration and yuji, oblivious to the stir he'd just caused, seemed to enjoy the brief, astonished silence hanging over the table.
"it's cool, right?" he voiced loudly, grinning. "he said i should write that i worked at one of his biotechnology firms, but if the interviewer asked me questions about it, i'd never know how to answer 'em."
megumi shot him a look.
"what do you know about pharmacies?" he demanded, watching yuji shrug confidently.
"you gotta answer some calls, make requests. er... stock up on the medicine and stuff," he mumbled, rubbing his chin thoughtfully and nodding. it looked like he was actually thinking hard about it. "deal with old ladies... and old men... er... yeah!"
"i'm putting that on my application too, then," said nobara, nodding. she made eye contact with a stoic megumi. "and you should too. only, with your family's business."
"no," the dark-haired boy responded, glowering at the three of you. "it's not genuine."
"oh here we go again," you sighed, rolling your eyes.
it had been the same situation two years ago with his easy position on the football team, when yaga offered him a vacant spot without the requirement of turning up to try-outs. megumi truly believed that if the offer was given solely to him, it was disingenuous and unfair, therefore accepting what was rightfully presented would also be disingenuous and unfair.
lying on an application form with security knowing that his family would definitely vouch for him if asked was where he drew the line.
"i'm not the serial liar here," he reminded you all, purposefully meeting your gaze to prove his point; you could have murdered him right there.
"maybe not, but you are the porcupine-hedgehog-sea-urchin breed here though —"
"you'dknow all about sea urchins, mermai—"
he left school that day with a small bump on the side of his head and a lesson still unlearned: do not mention the mermaid incident of two-thousand and eleven.

the hallway stretched ahead, brightly lit by fluorescent lights overhead that reflected off pale, polished floors. blue lockers lined either side, their surfaces a mix of chipped paint and stickers left from previous years, giving a lived-in look to the corridor's otherwise sterile presentation.
as you and megumi walked past several groups of people — some leaning against lockers, others conversing on the floor — you nudged him on his side.
"where do you usually sit?" you asked him, turning a corner to enter the corridor with the descending stairs. the two of you walked down them with ease, careful not to trip over that one step at the very bottom that always managed to catch your undone laces and have you stack in front of everyone.
megumi lagged a step behind, and before you could question it, you felt a slight tug on your bag, shifting it side to side. as you neared his homeroom, the faint sound of your zipper sliding into place caught your attention — he'd just fastened it for you without a word.
when he came back to your side to match your pace, you grinned up at his scowling face.
"thank you, porcupine!" you said brightly.
he adjusted the strap of his schoolbag, simple and black, and grunted, his form of acknowledgement.
you nudged him again, this time with your hip. "you didn't answer my question."
he shot you a sharp look, as though warning you not to test his patience. it wasn't like you'd ever heeded the warning in all the years you'd known him for, and yet you were still living and breathing and walking, alive and well.
"shouldn't matter to you," he responded, but only when it had become clear that you were not going to budge on it. megumi continued to face ahead, watching his steps as he spoke. "we're not in the same class and you won't be allowed in."
"ah, but if my memory serves me correctly," you beamed, sliding in between several seniors who were blocking the hallway to get to his class, and he shadowed you, right by the back of your heels, "you said the exact same thing in kindergarten and then they changed my name in the register so i was in your class permanently."
"set my fate with that dumb decision."
"hey," you frowned, looking at him from over your shoulder and furrowing your brows, lips set in a straight line. "that's rude."
megumi didn't grace you with a response to that, only following in your footsteps as you managed to squeeze past the groups of people huddled in the middle of the narrow corridor.
"besides," you began, once the two of you were walking side-by-side again, "if that decision wasn't made, you'd have a boring life, porcupine."
as the two of you neared megumi's classroom, the energy of the hallway shifted — voices grew louder, students lingered in clumps near the door, waiting to slip in just before the bell rang. it did tend to annoy you when they'd stand in a huddle and make it difficult to walk properly, but you'd gotten used to it after the first couple of weeks starting high school for the first time.
the sharp lines of megumi's face settled into something halfway between annoyance and resignation, his brows pinched, and his jaw clenched slightly as though he were biting back a retort. he shot you a sidelong glance, and for a moment, a split second in time, his expression softened — if you didn't know him that well, you might have thought you imagined it — almost as if he were mulling over what you'd said before huffing quietly, that familiar scowl reappearing on his face as he straightened his posture, ready to brush you off as he always did.
"you don't believe me?" you questioned, amused.
"it'd be stupid of me to believe someone who has a criminal history of lying," he grumbled, eyes half-lidded as though the answer had been obvious enough for a five year old to guess. arguably, you thought the five year old version of him probably would have said the exact same line, word for word. he had been too grown to actually be a kid.
"lying is part of my major," you reminded him, brows raised. "that's why i'm always the lead in the plays."
megumi averted his gaze, grumpy. "my bad. i thought you threatened everyone for the role —"
"i'm not a delinquent like you," you told him, smiling, and when he made a move to pinch you on your side, you dramatically flattened yourself against the lockers."i'll yell for help!" you hurriedly warned him, eyes cautiously wide as you followed where his pale hand was left outstretched near you.
he narrowed his own at you, contemplating. you could see the cogs turning in his head, thinking, deciding. you helped him make his decision faster by parting your lips, a silent threat. wisely, he retracted his hand, walking to his classroom which was at the end of the corridor, not looking back to see if you would catch up to him.
you did, in fact, catch up to him, if only to prove your initial point:
"if you weren't friends with me, what would you keep yourself entertained with, huh?" you asked, slapping his bag. he threw you a dirty look despite the fact that the hit wasn't enough to even make him stumble. "your non-fiction books? oh, i know a great non-fiction joke for you!"
"leave me alone," said megumi, glowering. "isn't your class down there?"
he gestured to the other end of the corridor.
you ignored him.
"why can't you trust an atom?" you asked, and when he refused to answer, instead choosing to duck under miss zaid's oustretched arm to go inside his class, you answered anyway, halting by the door because she stepped in front of you. "because they make up everythi— oh hey miss zaid!"
the teacher in question took back her arm and folded it over her chest, leaning against the door frame to block your entrance. you looked around, over your shoulder and around the corridor, before looking back up at her and smiling.
"who are you standing guard for?" you asked brightly. "can i help?"
"you can," she nodded, jutting her chin in the direction of the end of the hall, her expression half amused and half firm. "by making your way to mrs jenkins's class."
you shook your head firmly.
"but mr gojo said i could stay here instead," you said, expression grave. satoru had said no such thing, but that didn't matter, not to you at least.
"okay," said miss zaid, letting out a long exhale through her nose. "and is mr gojo part of the student advisory?"
your eyes darted left and right, momentarily speechless.
"he owns the pharmacy down the block," you tried, smiling pleasantly.
"and what does that have to do with the school?"
"erm... the first aid stuff in the school —"
the more you blabbered, the more unconvinced she became. you raised your brows at her, stern and serious.
"but my timetable's changed," you informed her, watching as the crease between her brows began to deepen as you spoke. "yeah, it says i'm in this class now."
miss zaid stepped aside to let two other students through. you took the opportunity to try and follow in right after them, only to be stopped when she rapidly stood back in that defensive position again. you frowned — what were you, a danger to the class?
"does it say my name on your timetable?" she asked you, curious.
you nodded.
she extended her hand, making a come hither motion.
"show me your timetable," she'd said, and at that, you froze.
it had been a lie after all. you were hoping to gain entry without the necessary proof. it had, after all, worked last year.
you watched her brows unknit themselves, tilting her head at you expectantly.
you paused.
"miss i really like the colour of your hijab today —"
"go," she interrupted loudly, pointing at the room you were meant to be in, all the way on the other side of the country, "to class, y/n." she looked up and nodded. "hi, yuji — come inside."
you turned and looked over your shoulder. sure enough, yuji was right there, walking alongside junpei, a tall, skinny boy who you had met during middle school in one of yuji's classes. the two were close, and when neither you, megumi nor nobara wanted to watch the weird movies yuji was always invested in, junpei had always been his go-to.
junpei was also in your homeroom class with nobara.
"what're you doing here?" yuji asked you, nodding at junpei when he walked off in the direction you were meant to be going in.
"what am i—" you repeated with a scoff, looking around as though that had been the stupidest question ever asked. "this is my class!"
miss zaid sighed. "y/n," she uttered your name sternly.
"miss, i can knock her out and then carry her to her actual class," yuji offered seriously.
you turned slowly, fixing yuji with a look that could curdle milk, disgust etched across your face, brows pinched and lip curled as though you'd just been asked to eat a pile of socks.
without missing a beat, yuji assumed a playful but overly dramatic fighting stance, feet squared and fists up like he was in some action movie. he bounced lightly, eyes narrowing in mock seriousness as he sized you up. perhaps it would've been almost intimidating if he hadn't grinned halfway through, flashing his teeth in a way that revealed he was completely unserious, and only had you staring at him with that unmoving disgusted expression.
"i appreciate your efforts yuji, but that... won't be necessary," miss zaid added, stepping aside to let him go inside.
"you have a bunch of weirdos in your class," you told her, scowling at the top of his pink head as he ducked under her arm and waved enthusiastically at megumi, who was slouching in his seat at the back of the classroom. "that's why i'm not in it."
and before she could order you to leave again, you stood on your tiptoes and waved at your grumpy friend, blowing kisses and beaming at him.
"bye megumi elizabeth fushiguro!" you yelled, smiling from ear to ear, and bouncing on your toes excitedly. "i'll miss you megumi elizabeth! bye megumi! i love you megumi! i'll miss you megu—"
"all right, i think he heard you," miss zaid nodded, looking over her shoulder to be met with the sight of the dark-haired boy facing the board with such seriousness, it appeared as though the class had already started and he was listening attentively to the non-existent teacher. his eyes would dart back to meet yours, and each time they did, his gaze would harden and his scowl would deepen.
"did i tell you how much i'll miss you, megumi?" you added loudly.
"y/n, don't make me write you up and give you a detention," said miss zaid, watching as you waved a hand at her and walked off.
"all right, all right, i'm going," you grumbled, turning on your heel and strolling down the hallway.
as you moved farther away, miss zaid's voice echoed faintly behind you, catching you off guard as she questioned whether megumi's middle name was actually elizabeth, her tone somewhere between bemusement and scepticism.
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。. .・。.・゜✭・.・
the boys' locker room was a space with rows of navy-blue metal lockers, their surfaces chipped and dented from years of use. megumi unlocked his and shoved his school pants inside, the overhead fluorescent lights casting a sharp, sterile glow over the room, bright enough to reflect off the scuffed tiled floor where several of his teammates were sitting, tying their shoelaces. other members of his team, including yuta, yuji, and toge, sat on the wooden benches that ran parallel to the lockers, worn and slightly uneven in places, each spot marked by countless cleats and gear bags left by players.
chad had been complaining about the faint smell of old sweat and disinfectant that clung to the air, mingling with the metallic scent of the lockers, and despite megumi not conversing with the rest, he silently agreed.
where the few hooks were attached along the walls (each draped with stray jerseys, hoodies, and extra uniforms) megumi glanced down at his own, a slight frown tugging at the corners of his lips. he would need to get a new one — he had outgrown the one he'd just got over the summer.
he didn't know whether he should be pleased or annoyed: perhaps both.
"yaga's gonna murder you if you don't have that game plan ready for today, todo," one of the guys — oliver martin, megumi realised — had said.
todo had been quick to retort:
"this was way more important!"
in the back corner where todo stood tall, a whiteboard was propped up with play diagrams still faintly visible from last practice, but the deep lining of blue marker that formed a surprisingly accurate drawing of nobuko takada (a japanese pop idol who todo had mentioned several times that he'd die for) took up the rest of the board.
he kicked a couple of duffel bags that slouched nearby, stuffed with tangled shin guards, socks, and forgotten water bottles, before speaking in that excessively loud voice of his.
"if any of you, except for my brother yuji, can give me your type of woman that's valid," he began, only warranting several groans and protests from every member in the room, "i'll come up with a game plan so you don't have to!"
kamo, who had been minding his own business up until now, slammed his locker door shut and stared up at the demanding team captain, eyes half-lidded.
"you did this last time and then tried to attack chad," he reminded him, and chad, who had been sitting on the bench slouched over, sat up and shook his head, disappointed.
"yeah, dude," he spoke breathily, visibly upset, "and that wasn't cool."
"YOUR TYPE ISN'T COOL —"
"relax," said kamo, which prompted everyone else to follow and agree.
todo's gaze snapped towards kamo, lingering a beat too long, his eyes narrowing in an expression that balanced somewhere between irritation and threat, his jaw clenching as he sized him up, lips pressing into a thin line, as though silently daring him to say more.
"what's your type then?" demanded todo, pointing at an unfazed kamo who simply raised a brow and turned away, seemingly uninterested in participating in this game todo enjoyed so much. "HEY! I'M TALKING TO YOU!"
kamo stared at him again, deadpanned. "sorry, didn't notice."
"every single one of us have said our type except for you, man," andre johnson added, momentarily shirtless just to speak before pulling his head through his blue jersey. "just say it."
"i actually wanna know what your type is," said yuji, interested. "i can't imagine you with anyone, kamo."
majority of the guys in the room collectively voiced their agreement. megumi silently agreed too — kamo never showed interest in anything other than his hobbies, like football. the hum of the vent overhead was steady as the low, animated chatter continued, todo waiting for an answer impatiently by the whiteboard.
"loner."
kamo placed one foot on the bench, bending down to tie his laces together. "liked you better when you were mute, toge," he said, though not unkindly.
"he likes a tall girl with a big ass, okay?" logan parker intervened, sighing audibly. "he told me, all right?"
kamo turned to logan, his expression deadpan, unimpressed by the sudden revelation. the lack of humour in his gaze spoke volumes, making it painfully obvious to megumi that kamo had never confided in logan about such a preference.
his straightforward nature, megumi had decided, left no room for such casual gossip, and it was hard to believe that he would ever engage in a conversation about his personal preferences with someone as prone to exaggeration as logan.
"is that true?" todo demanded almost immediately after logan had added his false input.
kamo tied his hair back, looking uncaring and tired. "no."
todo clenched his fists.
"your type can't be that bad," he said, looking around before his eyes landed on megumi, who was now sitting on the bench beside yuta, staring at nothing in particular. "bet it's not like fushiguro's — which is BORING,by the way!"
megumi looked up at the mention of his name and scowled.
everyone had immediately come to his defence, telling todo to 'cut it out' and to 'leave him alone', but it still didn't remove the absent sting he felt on the side of his head when todo had made an attempt to attack him (and had also been very nearly successful in doing so).
during freshman year of high school, when the football team had been formed and established, everyone was made to introduce themselves to each other, which was where the drama had begun. long story short: todo had asked for megumi's type in women, megumi answered unsatisfactorily ('i don't have a preference, so long as she's compassionate and has an unshakeable character') which resulted in a traumatic experience of attempted murder — as yuji had called it.
"todo, get over it!"
"yeah, dude, you literally pressured him for it!"
"it just wasn't cool, dude..."
"man, you a weirdo!"
"HIS TYPE IS BORING!" todo roared, throwing the marker he had in his hand somewhere behind himself. "NO IT'S STARTING TO PISS ME OFF! NO IT'S STARTING TO— I SHOULD —"
he rolled his sleeves up threateningly.
megumi furrowed his brows at him as everyone scrambled to stop the team captain from making a decision that would get him suspended from the school entirely.
"WOAH, WOAH, WOAH —"
"— TODO MAN —"
"— BRO CHILL —"
"— CALM DOWN —"
"stop, you're gonna make megumi sad!" yuji added fiercely, before extending an arm past both toge and yuta to grab his arm. todo had turned away, chest heaving and shoulders shaking as logan and chad patted his back as though trying to silence a wailing baby. "are you okay, megumi?"
the exaggerated, pouting look on yuji's face made megumi want to punch him.
"i'm fine," he grumbled, shrugging yuji's hand off of him, but yuji had remained persistent, forcefully gluing his palm on his front and deepening his look of pity. megumi glared down at his pesky hand.
"it's okay megumi," yuji sorrowfully informed him.
"i said i'm —"
"you don't have to be sad, megumi —"
megumi took his hand and twisted it; yuji yelped and snatched his hand back, frowning as he threw his grumpy friend a pained look.
"little harsh," yuta commented, rubbing the back of his neck with a sheepish smile.
megumi averted his gaze, half annoyed. "he deserved it."
when toge let out a small chuckle, megumi looked up at the scene before him, half-listening to todo's persistent questioning (he seemed to have got over megumi and his type), the chatter weaving through the room in an easy manner, almost as though megumi hadn't just been targeted for no apparent reason at all two seconds ago. his gaze drifted over to kamo, who, as usual, remained largely unfazed, his expression somewhere between calm and indifferent as todo's relentless interrogation continued.
watching them, megumi's mind wandered slightly — his teammates' voices ebbed and flowed, equal parts curiosity and exasperation filling the space. it was only towards the end of the conversation did megumi actually find something he believed he had mild interest in...
"what's it called when someone doesn't like anyone?" saidoliver, holding his helmet against his side, beneath his arm. "like, when a person just doesn't feel anything?"
"depression," megumi answered bluntly.
every head in the room turned to look at his, some were laughing and some looked unsurprised.
oliver furrowed his brows, disappointed. "dude."
"stop projecting, man."
"bro, you good?"
megumi ignored them, mentally cursing himself for participating in the stupid conversation to begin with. he silently reminded himself to never do so again. perhaps he would note it down somewhere when he got home.
"nah, i meant when like — y'know a guy or a girl — like when they've never liked someone. or had a crush," oliver continued, turning to kamo with a shrug. "maybe you're that. whatever the hell it's called."
"not good enough," todo shook his head, arms folded over his chest in another obvious attempt to look intimidating. "if all you PATHETIC excuses for men, EXCEPT MY BROTHER YUJI, won't give me a valid type right NOW —"
"i like someone," said kamo, pinching the bridge of his nose with an obvious scowl.
everyone froze, looking up at him as though the mere idea of kamo showing interest in anyone was foreign. megumi believed they all had a right to act shocked, not that it was any of their business to begin with.
because it wasn't.
and yet, even to him, it was surprising.
a few of the guys exchanged wide-eyed glances, eyebrows raised, and mouths slightly open, the disbelief clear in their expressions. even todo, typically unshakeable in his boldness, seemed momentarily thrown off balance, his stance faltering as he processed the unexpected confession. a hush seemed to settle over the group of boys, broken only by the quiet sound of kamo's gear as he slung it over his shoulder and moved towards the exit, leaving a wave of curiosity and shock in his wake.
"c'mon man, you can't just say something like that and then leave!" andre said, hurriedly collecting his own gear to follow the stoic boy out of the locker room.
"it's mai, isn't it?" said ethan miller, slamming his locker door shut and staring at the back of kamo's head.
yuji looked at megumi and then back up at ethan. "mai zenin?"
"there's only one mai in the entire school," said ethan, nodding. he called out to kamo again. "i saw you and her speaking like a week ago or somethin'."
kamo turned around, his back to the door as he furrowed his brows, seemingly offended by the accusation.
"no it's not —" he began, letting out a sigh of exhaustion before rolling his eyes. "it's not mai."
"give us SOMETHING, then, and i'll take it!" todo demanded, slamming his hand on the whiteboard with takada on it. uncoincidentally, it landed on her behind.
kamo considered the proposal for a moment, his eyes glancing over every face in the room, nearly all of whom seemed relieved at todo's statement, before he sighed again, muttering something under his breath.
"you know her pretty well," he said, glancing at yuji and then megumi. they barely had the time to register his response before he turned away, pulling open the door to leave. "and that's all you're getting out of me," he added calmly. "so don't bother trying for more."
he left without another word.
the entire room shifted their attention to megumi and yuji, eyes darting between the two as if expecting one of them to unravel kamo's cryptic hint. a few of the guys raised their eyebrows, curiosity and intrigue plastered across their faces. logan nudged chad with a knowing grin, while toge and yuta exchanged speculative glances.
megumi could feel their gazes like a weight, pressing him to acknowledge that he, along with yuji, might know the answer everyone was dying to hear.
he turned his head to face his friend: yuji simply blinked, apparently still wrapping his head around kamo's words. but megumi believed yuji had a better shot at guessing who the mystery girl was. yuji was, after all, a million times more social than him.
as the silence lingered, megumi found himself lost in thought, trying to recall any recent interaction that could hint at kamo's mystery interest. he sifted through memories, wondering if there had been any subtle clues he'd missed — any glances, moments, or lingering exchanges that might narrow it down. kamo's calm, almost detached nature made it hard to picture him in the throes of a crush, but megumi couldn't shake the curiosity that now gnawed at him.
he only knew two girls 'pretty well', and that was you and nobara, but he could not imagine either of you hanging off of kamo's arm. in fact, if anything, he imagined kamo hanging off of nobara's arm (which didn't make sense, seeing as that would be out of character of him). similarly, megumi couldn't imagine you willingly being held back by his arm, instead choosing to skip off into the distance which would surely annoy the serious, long-haired male.
but he was well aware of the fact that nobara and kamo had shared several classes together...
he could still feel everyone's gazes burning holes all over his face, and he scowled, unwilling to give anyone the satisfaction of entertaining the idea too openly.
but it seemed that the team captain did not happen to agree with this sentiment.
"right, new task!" todo called out, clapping his hands to draw everyone's attention away from an unwilling megumi and a confused yuji to himself instead. he had already rubbed out the takada drawing and had begun the game planning. megumi had not realised it until now. "FIND KAMO'S GIRL! and this time next week, we'll gather 'round and narrow it down!"
as everyone nodded and cheered, some making their way out of the room while others lingered and chatted, he called out to both yuji and megumi.
"BROTHER!" he bellowed, pointing at him with the blue marker. "i'm leaving it to you and fushiguro!"
a pause.
"mainly you because i don't trust fushiguro!"
yuji and megumi had already stood up by that point, and megumi's scowl had deepened. it wasn't as though he cared enough to be part of this operation anyway. it was something he'd most likely think about alone, where no one could put in their unintelligent claims and disrupt his wise way of thinking. what did todo know about that anyway?
he looks like a pineapple, megumi thought to himself as he watched him demand both himelf and yuji to deal with the stupid task. and he's about as smart as one too.
"UNDERSTAND?"
"yeah!"
"sure," megumi answered, but he hadn't been paying attention at all.
todo had left the changing room, followed by majority of the team. yuji was the only one left in the room with him.
"i think it's nobara," he said, placing his helmet on his head. "she's extra mean to him 'cause he acts like he knows everything. she hates guys like that."
"that... contradicts your point," said megumi, furrowing his brows.
"no, don't you know that girls act really mean to the guys they like?" yuji chuckled, shaking his head at him as if megumi had very little knowledge. it made the dark-haired boy want to attack his friend. "hey... maybe that's why all the girls on the cheer team are so mean to me! yeah!"
megumi did not remind him of the time yuji had accidentally flashed the cheer team, and that from then on, every member, including the substitutes, would be extra harsh towards him.
"yeah," he said, putting his own helmet on and following yuji out of the room. "that's the reason."
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。. .・。.・゜✭・.・
exiting the theatre classroom, you caught sight of megumi waiting on one of the benches outside, still dressed in his football uniform, his untamed hair still findings ways to stand up on its own despite the fact that it must have been forced down during practice. you almost laughed out loud at the broad shoulder pads and the snug navy-blue jersey that made him look slightly out of place in the hallway, but it was the way his helmet balanced awkwardly on his lap as he stared down at it, clearly impatient, that had you grinning.
you couldn't help but laugh, your voice echoing lightly off the walls as you made your way towards him, amused by how tense he looked even off the field. he looked up at the sound, his eyes narrowing in mild annoyance as he rose to meet you, a faint crease forming between his brows.
"you look angry," you commented teasingly.
"shut up," he muttered, scowling as he lifted the helmet and carefully placed it over your head. it wobbled slightly, oversized and unsteady, making you nearly lose your balance when he gave it a firm pat on top — a solid thump, just hard enough to send a warning, though not enough to hurt.
"it's so uncomfortable," you said, as the two of you made your way to the school gates to leave. "how the hell do you football players wear this for hours on end?"
"with breaks," he answered, and you had to physically move your head upwards to actually be able to see his face, for the lines going over and under the front gap limited the scope of your vision. "you get used to it."
you hummed in response, looking over your shoulder and around the area with curiosity.
"where's yuji?" you asked casually.
"ran for his bus," said megumi, as the two of you had gone past the gates and onto the main road leading to your neighbourhood. "said he didn't wanna take the late one 'cause then he'd have to sit for most of it with todo."
"should've made him late so he'd have to take the late one," you tutted, nearly walking into a lamppost — it was megumi's quick actions that had saved you, tugging you away by your elbow.
"the hell's wrong with you?" he demanded harshly. "your vision isn't completely gone with that on. you're not blind."
"it takes a while to get used to!" you protested, rubbing the top of his helmet as though it were your own scalp. "you said so yourself!"
megumi's expression hardened, his brow furrowing as he shot you a look that seemed to question every life choice that led you to nearly walking into a lamppost. he didn't need to say a word; the look alone was enough to convey his frustration, his mouth set in a thin line as he continued to stare at you with a sort of weary patience that he seemed to reserve just for moments like this.
"stop acting drunk," he ordered, walking a step behind you now. it was as if he assumed that watching over you would prevent your free will from prevailing over his demands.
at some point during the walk home, the conversation had shifted from the limited vision with the helmet, to gossip you had heard during stage practice, to toji and the unethical ways he kept a steady income, to what his teammates were saying in the locker room earlier, something you found yourself quite fascinated with.
"i'd hate to be you, not gonna lie... but what would you have done if todo did attack you?" you asked him, drumming your fingers on the helmet which you still hadn't taken off despite how uncomfortable it felt wearing it. you turned your head (fully) to look at your own reflection in a car mirror by the crosswalk.
you thought you looked ridiculous.
you didn't care.
megumi placed a hand on the centre of his helmet and forced your head to face the front again.
"this is how you end up walking into lampposts," he lectured with a scowl, before placing his hand in the pocket of his shorts and answering your question. "i would've defended myself."
"against todo?" you gaped, stupefied. "no offence, but he'd crush you. he's — like — your dad of our generation."
"don't ever say that again," megumi had been quick to counter, and though you couldn't see it, you knew he was glaring down at you. despite the thick material of the helmet you were wearing, you felt the heat of his gaze, like lasers burning holes where they landed.
he did not like that comparison at all.
you apologised. "sorry. you're the only copy of your dad there is —"
"watch it."
"am i just not allowed to say anything then?" you snapped, your arms flailing about dramatically.
"it's a preference," megumi began, the tone of his voice sly in a way you were very much familiar with and did not like at all, "but i know you won't do it."
you raised a pointer finger defensively. "megumi, if i could see you right now —"
"— it's not that hard —"
"— and if i was as tall as you," you continued as though he hadn't interrupted, "i would head-butt you so bad, you'd wish todo was the one dealing with you."
as the two of you stepped up to the crosswalk, megumi reached out and firmly took hold of your hand, steering you with a purposeful grip so you'd follow his lead across the road. his hold was steady, guiding, yet the pointed glare he cast downwards made it clear he wasn't thrilled with the direction the conversation had taken. even as he glanced from you to the road ahead, his gaze lingered, sharp with irritation, and each time he looked back, it was as if he had been silently reminding you of the absurdity of comparing him to todo — or worse, his dad.
his hand stayed firmly around yours until you were safely on the other side of the street. he let go, only to hit you on the helmet again.
"ow!"
"shut up, that didn't hurt."
you ignored him.
"what happened next?" you queried as you tugged on his jersey and pointed at buttercup brew where miss B was waving at the two of you from behind the glass, entry doors.
you waved back, making sure megumi had too — he was much less enthusiastic, but it was still enough to please miss B, who went back to working, leaving the two of you to continue the short walk home.
megumi answered idly. "kamo said he likes someone."
your eyes widened, and if it hadn't been for his outstretched arm once again, you would have tripped over your own foot.
"WHAT?"
"for fu— be careful —"
"noritoshi kamo?" you gasped, walking alongside megumi in visible and audible shock.
the best way to describe noritoshi kamo, you decided, was a guy who had no care in the world for anything: he lost a shoe? he'd buy a new one. you lost his homework sheet you'd been copying from? he'd quickly make a new one. he lost a football game? the next one would be better.
noritoshi kamo was no optimist, but he was definitely not someone capable of romantic feelings for anyone.
or so you had thought...
"everyone just started guessing who," megumi added, frowning.
"and did they guess right?" you pressed, intrigued. "who is it?"
your dark-haired friend shrugged, which resulted in your shoulders deflating, immediately disappointed before he'd even said anything.
"that's the thing," megumi said, unbothered. "he didn't say anything about it."
"well that was anti-climactic," you mumbled, turning a corner and seeing both your houses in the distance.
the walk was nearly over, so you lifted the helmet off your head, shook your hair away from your face, and held it beneath your arm. you appreciated just how large your field of vision was now. the helmet had been pesky, hot, and annoying.
"and i'm out of gossip," you sighed, allowing the summer breeze to flow past your face, the air feeling nice against your skin. "wish nobara was here. she always has something to talk about."
"he said something in the end though. when todo forced him."
you were surprised your head hadn't popped right off your neck with how fast you'd turned it to look up and lock eyes with him. megumi needed to work on how he told and relayed stories — this was by far the worst one he'd ever done.
"well?" you prompted, stressed that the walk was shortening the closer you got to your houses.
"yuji and i know her pretty well," said megumi at last, brows furrowed as you handed him his helmet. when you raised a brow at him, visibly confused, he scowled. "his words, not mine."
the thought lingered, growing heavier as you replayed kamo's words in your mind: someone yuji and megumi know pretty well...
your brows knitted together as you tried to piece it together, replaying moments you'd seen kamo interact with people you that were close with both yuji and megumi. the issue here was that megumi's anti-social nature narrowed it down to two people:
you or nobara.
you knew with certainty it couldn't be you. you had had a fair few conversations with the male, but nothing that you could pick apart and decide that he had any interest in you. it was mostly just random, fun situations, like the time you had accidentally triggered malakai and requested kamo to support your statement that it hadn't been you, only to blame it on him (kamo) in the end.
that should make him dislike you, if anything. at the time, however, he didn't seem to care.
could nobara be the girl he liked?
that was something you'd have to ask her, though you highly doubted it. you knew her quite well, and no guy had caught her interest. at least, not at jujutsu high, where she mainly criticised the male gender and grew new icks every day that went by.
for the fun of it, you still asked megumi whether it could be possible that someone could have a crush on you.
his reaction, however, had you visibly startled.
he averted his gaze, his shoulders stiffening as though unsure of how to respond. you waited, but his silence lingered, and his eyes seemed to dart briefly to the ground, almost as if he'd been caught off guard by your question.
your brows raised as you bit back a smile. it was rare to see him hesitate like this — normally, he'd offer some blunt response or scowl and move on, but now, an uncharacteristic awkwardness settled over him, and it looked almost as if he was bracing himself, unable to fully meet your gaze.
"no," he finally settled on saying, walking you to your door as he always would when going home together.
"you hesitated," you informed him knowingly.
"i was thinking of how long it'd take for you to scare them off," megumi shot back, ringing the doorbell for you.
you watched him walk off the porch, hearing footsteps echo from behind the front door as you hummed, nodding.
"nice save," you told him, relishing in his scowl, the last thing you saw on his face before your mom had opened the door and allowed you in, closing it behind you after telling megumi to come inside — he had refused like the delinquent porcupine he was.
and as megumi made his way over to his own porch, he realised that for the first time ever, he couldn't help the feeling of relief after ending a conversation with you.

bonus scene:
the helicopter incident of 2016...
"what the fuck?"
megumi staggered away from the three of you —yourself, yuji, and nobara — craning his neck in a desperate attempt to peer over his shoulder at his own backside. bewildered, he muttered to himself, trying to comprehend why his so-called friends had just collectively ambushed him, each having touched his bottom once before guffawing loudly. what had you all done to him?
he made his way to the back door (but not before throwing the three of you a menacing glare) using the reflection of the glass as a mirror.
he was left horrified at the sight of three different handprints made out of neon paint colours (bright yellow, vibrant pink, and an intense lime) on the most compromising part of his pants:
his ass.
"shit — look at his face," you gasped, chest heaving at his expression. "take a picture with — catch it! — my phone."
you tossed your phone to nobara, who, unlike you and yuji, had the least amount of paint coating her delicate hands. meanwhile megumi's had shot to cover his behind as he whipped around, fixing the three of you with a glare so fierce, it might have turned a lesser person to stone.
flash! flash! flash!
nobara had captured his expressions, postures, and stances before he had a chance to compose himself into something less revealing.
as you took your phone out of nobara's hands, your attention had been drawn to a growing commotion behind you, distant shouts and laughter cutting through the playful chaos around megumi. you tossed a quick, amused glance back at nobara and yuji, both of whom were doubled over in laughter, still entirely focused on your collective attack on megumi, before aiming the lens on your phone not at your porcupine's flustered face, but at the source of the noise in the distance, recording just in time to capture a particularly raucous burst of laughter that had echoed around the backyard.
toji, towering and muscular, stood with his arms flat against his sides, looking both impatient and exasperated as satoru (in front of him) and suguru (behind him) launched paint-filled balloons at him. each balloon splattered bright colours across his chest, only to be rebuffed by his broad, muscular torso in what seemed like a defiant bounce.
splashes of paint exploded across his 'man-tits,' as satoru had so eloquently called them, left bright patches on his shirt as he glared at the two childish men surrounding him, chest heaving and fists clenched.
"shit!"satoru took several steps back, looking down at his own chest where the balloon he'd thrown at toji had bounced back at himself instead, splattering his white shirt with bright blue. he looked up at suguru, eyes wide behind his glasses. "that one came from his right titty —"
suguru laughed, throwing a paint balloon up in the air, catching it, and then launching it at the oddly-silent toji.
only for it to bounce back, just as expected. he had stepped aside just in time. "and that one came from his left breast —"
the veins running up toji's hands and arms grew more prominent as the two continued.
"HA!" satoru pointed at his chest. "toji? more like titty —"
suguru shook his head with a sigh. "satoru, don't be childish," he said, and his best friend actually paused, brows raised in surprise. that was before suguru had clarified: "he's big titty toji —"
SPLAT!
when satoru swung his arm around in a dramatic manner while laughing, he had accidentally released another paint ballon straight at the ticking time bomb that was toji fushiguro.
he only laughed harder at that.
"look guys!" he called out to the rest of you. you zoomed in on the scene — satoru's arms were outstretched, presenting toji as if he was some special, endangered animal, rare and one-of-a-kind. "it's toji titty-guro—"
without warning, toji's arms shot out, his hands seizing both satoru and suguru by the collars of their shirts with effortless strength. you couldn't see his face, so you were unsure of whether he had been grinning, or neutral, or angry, etc, but you watched in both horror and amusement as he began to spin, dragging them with him in a rapid, dizzying circle.
every other commotion around the backyard had stopped, everyone turning to look at the odd scene, equal parts confused and terrified.
toji's feet dug into the ground, kicking up small clouds of dust, while satoru and suguru both flailed helplessly at his sides, their limbs whipping outwards as if they were rag dolls caught in a whirlwind.
a whirlwind...
"it's a tornado!" you yelled, looking around and trying hard to keep your phone steady, but the scene was so funny, your hands were shaking with the effort.
toji's powerful grip and force turned their attempts to wriggle free into nothing more than frantic gestures, their faces a mix of shock and a hint of terror as they were spun around faster and faster...
you zoomed out to capture mamaguro at the back, watching the scene with narrowed eyes and furrowed brows.
"are you gonna stop your... husband...?" you heard your mom question, sounding completely weirded out. and honestly — who could blame her?
what the hell was happening in the fushiguros' backyard?
"i... would," mamaguro muttered, carefully watching the scene continue to unfold before her, getting worse as time went on, "but... how?"
there was no opening for her to enter, you noticed. if she tried, she'd get caught up in the spinning andget severely injured too...
you couldn't believe what was happening before your eyes. you didn't know what was happening before your eyes. you didn't think you'd ever know what was happening before your eyes.
from your peripheral vision, you could see a stick of yellow just lingering awkwardly, and when you turned your head to glance at it, you nearly face palmed when you realised it was your father in his banana body-suit outfit. the only thing visible about him was the gap where his face rested. everything else, from his head, to his figure, to his shoulders, to his thighs, and to the majority of his legs, were all concealed by the thick material.
"that looks fun!" he commented brightly, a dopy smile over his face. he made an attempt to waddle over to the unnatural disaster. "i'm gonna join —"
"no, no," your mom was quick to hold him back by his banana-shaped body. she ushered him to the side, shaking her head violently. "no, honey, no. just... you're not going over there."
surprisingly, despite several minutes having gone by, the disaster was still going. in fact, everyone had believed it to be finished when toji had stopped (revealing the other dishevelled men stumbling over their own footsteps) only for the man to spin himself around only and charge at the duo again.
violently.
"round two!" you called out, startled. "round two or — or — er — round one point five since it never... it never finished, technically — oh my god —"
you focused your camera around the backyard, spotting mai climbing over the fence. her eyes met your phone, and she disappeared behind the wall without a second thought.
wise, you thought to yourself, wondering if mimiko and nanako had done the same, for despite several pans of the large area, your camera could not seem to find them.
a bellow erupted across the scene, stopping everything and everyone cold in their tracks. you turned, a jolt running down your spine at the sight of ogi and the sound of his voice thundering through the air — you fumbled to stop your recording in a panic, heart pounding.
a wave of silence blanketed the chaos.
toji froze mid-spin, his arms still outstretched, while satoru and suguru, dishevelled and breathless, stared up from the ground, shock and trauma wiping away their usual confidence. megumi, still clutching his rear, went pale, his expression stiffening as he shrank further into his hiding place. your dad, in his ridiculous banana costume, managed a sheepish, guilty smile, while mamaguro blinked, bewildered, glancing between her husband and the mess of people sprawled about. tsumiki giggled softly in the corner, the only one unfazed, her amusement uncontained. in the abrupt stillness, ogi's glare was sharp enough to cut through steel, as if daring anyone to make the next move.
"WHAT," he demanded, voice booming, "IS GOING ON HERE?"
there was only silence that followed his question as he slowly entered the backyard, paint and balloons all over the grass and fences, a mess.
"AN EVENT ORGANISED TO ENCOURAGE NORMALCY, AND THIS FAMILY CAN'T EVEN DO THAT!"
his eyes, cold and sharp, darted to megumi, whose back was flat against the fence.
"THE VERY PROGENY OF THE ZENIN CLAN — WITH RAINBOW HANDPRINTS ON HIS GODDAMN ASS!"
megumi's cheeks burned as he scowled. it didn't help that yuji and nobara were still holding back their laughter too.
"AND YOU!" ogi turned to a normal (now?) toji, looking him up and down with such disgust, you'd think he were staring at a homicide scene. it might have actually been one, to be fair. "I CANT EVEN SAY THAT YOU'RE PART OF MY BLOODLINE! WHAT WAS THIS, A RE-ENACTMENT OF KAMIKAZE?"
toji scoffed, throwing satoru a glare. "he was the pilot —"
satoru stood up almost immediately. "you were the helicopter —"
"SIT DOWN."
despite his obvious reluctance, satoru silently complied.
ogi took this as a sign to continue, glowering menacingly at the white-haired, dark-haired duo. now, literal partners in crime.
"WE GOT SPONGEBOB AND PATRICK OVER HERE, DOING GOD-KNOWS-WHAT. WHY IS YOUR HAIR A MESS AND WHY ARE YOUR GLASSES BROKEN?"
satoru reached up to take his glasses off, hanging in an odd, desperate position over the bridge of his nose, a pout on his face at the sight of the irreparable damage.
he glared at toji from over his shoulder. "HEY —"
"OI LEAVE HIM ALONE!" ogi was quick to add, irate. "IF YOU HADN'T BOTHERED HIM, MAYBE HE WOULDN'T HAVE MADE AN ATTEMPT TO ELIMINATE THE TWO OF YOU FROM EXISTENCE!"
he rubbed his hands over his wrinkled face, before starting at the two men again.
"NO, I'LL TELL YOU WHY THE BOTH OF YOU LOOK LIKE THIS, IT'S BECAUSE YOU'RE BEHAVING LIKE MONKEYS — I DON'T WANNA HEAR IT GETO!" he added harshly, for suguru had an oddly deep hatred for the animal and whichever family it comes from, and had seemed particularly offended with ogi's comment. "I MEAN LOOK AT THE STATE OF YOU! YOU LOOK LIKE MAI'S FIRST GRADE ART PROJECT THAT I THREW IN THE TRASH —"
maki, who had been lingering at the back with your mom stepped forward despite your mom's silent actions not to.
"you threw that away?" she questioned, eyes narrowed behind her round, clear glasses. "she spent years attacking me for it —"
ogi's hardened expression had faltered slightly, a look of pain crossing his features. you were certain it was more about getting caught than the actual issue at hand.
"yeah, yeah, it was you that threw it," he mindlessly replied, before his jaw had clenched harder than before. "SPEAKING OF, WHERE THE HELL IS YOUR SISTER?"
maki sniffed, irritated. "i don't —"
"this has that luke kid written all over it," ogi interrupted, uncaring of maki. "GREAT! SO I'VE GOT A RUNAWAY BRIDE, AND TWEEDLE DEE AND TWEEDLE DUM ARE MISSING. PROBABLY AT THE ZOO ACTING LIKE THEIR FATHER — SHUT IT GETO."
he swivelled on the spot, his long hair whipping behind himself as his eyes zeroed in on your father, still in that banana costume of his.
"AND YOU — GET RID OF THAT RIDICULOUS COSTUME! THEY MIGHT WANNA EAT YOU NEXT — TRYNA JOIN THE HELICOPTER WITH HIS IDIOCY!"
your father frowned, but still made an attempt at trying to unzip himself. his arms, however, were much too short to go around the costume and reach the zipper.
"well it's kinda..." he murmured, bending his knees for a better angle, "stuck... i need some... help... here... honey?"
your mom turned away, drinking her lemonade with raised brows. "who's honey?"
uncle ogi had had enough. "G-GET BACK HERE AND TAKE HIS STUPID COSTUME OFF OF HIM!"
your mom turned back around, but her eyes were darting over the place as though ogi was speaking to anyone but her.
"IT'S YOUR CARELESS BEHAVIOUR THAT'S MADE HIM BELIEVE IT'S OKAY TO WEAR STUFF LIKE THAT. I'M GETTING A HEATSTROKE JUST LOOKING AT HIM!"
she glanced at her husband, watching him fall backwards due to his failed attempt at bending his knees to reach his own zipper.
she muttered under her breath: "you'd think that men would have a mind of their own..."
"YOU'RE NOT OFF THE HOOK EITHER TSUMIKI, I EXPECTED MORE FROM YOU. LAUGHING — ENCOURAGING THIS BEHAVIOUR?" he started, typically unusual, for tsumiki was never the one in trouble. today was full of surprises. he raised an accusatory pointer finger at her. "YOU WANNA BE A MOTHER SOMEDAY? YOU BETTER HOPE THEY DON'T TURN OUT LIKE THESE IDIOTS."
his eyes darted over you all in one massive circle, his mouth in a straight line.
"THIS FAMILY'S A DISGRACE TO THE ZENIN NAME —"
"not even a zenin," satoru grumbled to himself.
"yeah, neither am i," suguru agreed, blowing his bangs away from his face.
"i'm literally a l/n," you mumbled to yourself.
toji dusted himself off. "my son's not a zenin."
"THE POINT IS... YOU'VE SUMMONED THE WHOLE OF BIKINI BOTTOM TO RECORD US!" uncle ogi roared, pointing at the neighbours peeking over the fences with their phones at hand. you couldn't bring it in yourself to blame them. if you had seen the same scene happen elsewhere, you would have recorded it too.
you had recorded it, not that uncle ogi needed to know that...
"WHY ARE WE LETTING PEASANTS MAKE A LAUGHING STOCK OUT OF US?" he demanded loudly. he aggressively turned to mr smith, a white, bald man from just down the block. "OI YOU, GET RID OF THAT CAMERA BEFORE I GIVE YOU A REASON TO TAKE ME TO COURT!"
he turned to mamaguro, eyes widening at the sight of her.
"i nearly forgot about you..." he began, before taking everyone by surprise by the sheer volume of his voice, as though he hadn't been speaking that way for the past five minutes. "YOU WERE THE BRAINS BEHIND THIS ALL. WHAT MADE YOU THINK THAT THIS FAMILY COULD DO ANY EVENT WITHIN THE REALM OF HOW NORMAL OR MESSY IT SHOULD BE? THAT THEY WOULDN'T PUT THEIR STUPID TOES OUT OF LINE? THAT THEY'D BE SENSIBLE —"
"now hang on a minute," said mamaguro, her kind voice shaky, "this is not my fault! my colleague recommended a —"
"WHAT DOES YOUR COLLEAGUE KNOW ABOUT THIS FAMILY?" ogi snapped harshly. "NO BETTER THAN YOU, CLEARLY!"
he let out a deep exhale, but the tension in his temple and shoulders remained as he slowly turned around to face you. you were stunned in place, unmoving, unsmiling, unsure of what to do with yourself, in fact.
you only carefully made sure the camera was out of his sight, hidden in your back pocket where he'd have no clue that you had been recording earlier.
"AND FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE-TIME, THIS ONE WASN'T INVOLVED IN ANY OF IT!"
you nodded proudly, mimicking his words silently behind him, pointing at satoru, pointing at suguru, even pointing at your mom.
"DIDNT EVEN START IT!" he continued loudly.
for this one, you specifically made sure to mouth the words to megumi, who you could tell, just from his cruel facial expressions, wanted nothing more than to out you right then and there, but for the first time ever, it was your word against his, and with the way things were going, you were bound to win, no difficulty.
"THIS WILL GO DOWN IN THE HISTORY BOOKS, I TELL YOU! how SHE became the role-model for you dimwits."
"role model," you mouthed, pointing at everyone. "for you, for you, and especially," you made sure to swivel your finger in a circle this time, "you."
toji gritted his teeth at you, but said nothing. you grinned confidently.
uncle ogi turned away again, eyes closed shut as he sighed audibly, a vein on his forehead threatening to burst. it only popped up again when he found yuji and nobara staring back at him.
"AND WHO THE HELL ARE YOU TWO?"
"damn... you'd think he'd know our names by now," yuji commented, rubbing his neck with shame.
"right," nodded nobara, shaking her head. "so rude."
"friends of yours?" uncle ogi turned to you, speaking in that gruff tone he usually had. but it was significantly different to the way he had been speaking to the rest of the family today. you mentally giggled to yourself as you nodded. "fine."
he glared down at satoru and suguru, eyes twitching at the mess of pain all over their white shirts, brows furrowing at the mess maid of their hairs, and lips pursing at the broken glasses satoru was still clinging onto.
"you two..." he began, voice rough and firm. "go to shoko, just go."
satoru sat up defiantly. "i don't need —"
"NOW."
satoru and suguru did their walk of shame out of the backyard.
everyone had done theirs at some point.
everyone, you noted with a pleasant smile, except for you.

"hey, wifeyy what are we up to?" nobara giggles welcoming you in before she sat on her nail station, with her face resting on her hands.
"sooo i was thinking of surprising sukuna" you'd snicker as nobara nods profusely, "uh-huh" she murmurs, "and i was thinking of y'know getting my nails done like his tattoos" you giggled as a light shade of pink spreads across your cheeks, "ohh i see you girl, so what color are you gonna get?" nobara asked sheepishly, "so i want this specific color of pink" you chimed, picking up a nail polish displayed on nobara's table "and also I'd like to add some designs?" you added ulocking your phone and showing nobara sukuna's tattoos, "oh gosh i love your idea, shit we should start now"
.... after gossiping and giggling with nobara as she does your nail you were finally good to go,
you stretched out your fingers, admiring the intricate designs delicately painted on your nails. they were reminiscent of sukuna's tattoos, with swirling patterns, bold in black.
"shiiit i love you nobs they're so beautiful" you gagged in awe as you stared at your nails,

"I love them," he replied before standing up from the couch with his breath hitching- he quickly latched on to your lips giving you a passionate kiss, you can feel your stomach being filled with butterflies while your heart beats uncontrollably like it was going to explode. sukuna deepened the kiss, his tongue exploring your mouth as his hands wandered down to your hips. He couldn't help but feel turned on by the way your nails looked like his tattoos. It reminded him of his power, his dominance.
Before you knew it, you were pinned against the wall, sukuna's hands ripping off your clothes. sukuna's fingers traced over your newly painted nails, sending sparks of pleasure through you, you groaned as he nibbled on your neck, his teeth grazing over your skin leaving red hickeys on your neck, like decorations. he could feel your pulse racing under his lips, making him even more aroused, with a swift movement, sukuna had bent you over a nearby table, your nails scratching against the surface. sukuna couldn't wait any longer, his desire for your sweet cunt was consuming him. before even registrating in to you he thrust into you hard, causing you to gasp for air and arch your back.

he'd keen, placing a hand on your back as he watched your cunt suck him in with every thurst he makes.
he flipped you around before he thrusted mercilessly in your pussy, making you mewl in pleasure, getting closer and closer to the edge, your body was trembling with pleasure.
sukuna's pace quickened, his hands gripping your plush thighs tightly with his callused palms as he pounded into you, your bare your painted nails on his back making crescent wounds, scratching his bare back as he could feel your walls clenching around him, signaling your release. with one final thrust, the both of you reached your climaxes, crying out each other's names.
you both catch your breath, as sukuna pulled you close, his lips brushing against your ear. "you look so cute when you're a pretty mess," he whispered, sending chills down your spine.
you smiled, your fingers running through his hair. "so did you liked my surprise?" you asked, your voice breathless.
sukuna chuckled and leaned in for a kiss, grateful " i f'king love them" he mumurs before kissing you once more.

Summary: You were supposed to set up a double date for Toji Fushiguro and Sukuna Ryoumen with your mom and aunt so how did YOU end up in bed with them?
✨✨✨✨✨
You hummed to the tune playing from the car speakers, Billie Eilish Lunch singing from your lips. Your head was propped up on your hand as you sank into the back seats of the red and black sports car. Your thumb moves up and down on your phone scrolling through pictures of your friends and silly memes.
“I can eat that girl for lunch… dances on my tongue...” The words were a second thought while you double-tapped your screen liking a video.
Within the next moment, the radio was turned down.
“So you like eating pussy huh?”
Your eyes rolled up to the rearview mirror where Sukuna’s red ones looked at you.
You put a lot of sass in your words as you say, “That’s not a very family-friendly question unc.”
You could see how his eyes narrowed at you, hating when you called him ‘unc’ or ‘uncle’. He was your best friend's uncle but not yours. You just like to tease him. Hear the way he gripped the steering wheel. Get under his skin. It was a fun pastime.
“What did I say about calling me that?”
“Well if you date my aunt doesn’t that make you my uncle anyway?”
“That-“
“Watch the road Sukuna.” Yuuji elbowed his uncle from the passenger seat. The car swiveled a bit as Sukuna snatched the wheel back.
“I got this kid.” The older man scoffed, his ego wounded twice within the same minute.
You let out a teasing giggle, returning to your phone. That’s when a notification pops up on your screen.
Mom: Sorry sweetie but-
You couldn't see the rest of the message before it disappeared, but your stomach sunk from what you had already seen from the preview. You quickly got to your messages to see the full text from your mom.
Mom: Sorry sweetie but your aunt and I had decided to cancel. We just don't think we are ready for another commitment. Please apologize to Mr. Fushiguro and Ryoumen.
“Fuck-“
“What?”
“N-nothing…” you quickly texted back- what does she mean they aren't coming! This is so last minute!
Me: Mom you have been divorced for like three years! And Auntie said she needed someone to get over her last relationship.
Mom: I think we are just going to have a little girl's night. You know love ourselves! You’re welcome to come over too if you want.
You puffed your cheeks in annoyance. What the hell were you going to say to freaking Sukuna and Toji?! Just as you looked up the car rolled to a stop, parking in front of Mr. Fushiguro’s house.
Yuuji hopped out to get into the back seat and as he slid in next to you, you pointed at your phone, showing him the message. He mouthed the words as he read, head leaned to the side a bit while he slowly buckled his seat belt in.
“Yikes.” He hissed under his breath.
“Tell me about it…”
“What are we talking about back there?” Sukuna questioned with a raised brow.
“Uh…” you opened your mouth but your words were interrupted as the front and back doors opened.
“Heyo .” Yuuji greeted Megumi as he slid into the seat.
“Sup.” Megumi salutes and wave.
Toji plopped in the front, you can see Sukuna sizing him up. Once Toji got situated he looked toward the tatted man.
“Toji.” He introduced himself while reaching over to shake his hand.
“Sukuna.” The two clapped hands with a firm shake.
You could see their veins bulge as if they were trying to break each other's hands. Their eye contact was firm and well. Like a predator meeting another predator- taunting each other. Trying to show who is the king of the jungle.
Yuuji coughed as he leaned forward with his phone, pointing to the address of the club. “Nobara said this place was pretty good for the price.”
You blanked at Yuuji, did he not read what your mom sent? The party was over! Well… maybe it didn’t have to be. You can pretend you've never seen it…
The interruption from Yuuji broke up the big dick contest.
Sukuna typed in the address while Toji greeted you, “Hey, you look nice.” He complimented.
You gave him an appreciative smile, “Thank you, sir. You look nice as well.”
You could see the little glare sent your way from Sukuna in the rearview mirror but it seemed only you noticed. You knew he was pissed that you just called Toji sir while you called him unc. L-o- fucking-l. You laugh on the inside keeping your eyes on Toji.
“I hope your mother thinks so too, did you send her the address?”
“I- yup. I sure did.”
After Sukuna got the GPS started he took off on the road. Yuuji and Megumi were the main ones talking… well… it was more Yuuji talking and Megumi responding with his usual bored tone.
The entire ride there you were planning how you were going to tell the two men in front. Staged it in your head. Played out the scene. You were going to put on your best acting performance.
Sukuna pulled up to the colorful lighted club with a giant sign that read ‘Special Grade’ and as you were getting out you let out a little gasp while looking at your phone. Everyone looked toward you expectantly.
“Ah~ sorry guys my mom and aunt are staying in tonight.” You smacked your lips giving everyone an apologetic look.
“Seriously?” Sukuna deadpanned.
“Yeah… that sucks… well we are already here might as well have fun!” You didn’t get dressed up for nothing. Hopping out of the car you closed the door and walked toward the building. Yuuji and Megumi by your side.
“They haven’t gotten out of the car yet.” Megumi pointed out.
“Eh, they are just in shock, nothing a few drinks can solve- NOBARA!” You squealed running up to your best friend as the two of you hopped up and down in excitement.
“Oi I’m your boyfriend and you give her more excitement than me!” Yuuji pouted as Nobara rolled her eyes.
“Oh hush~ let’s go have some fun… uh where’s your family I thought they were coming?”
“My family decided to ditch us.”
“My dad’s in the car with Sukuna, probably contemplating life.”
“Pfft, in the wise words of Shoko everything can be solved with alcohol.”
“That’s what I said!”
“That is a terrible motto to go by.”
You laughed as the four of you walked toward the entrance. With a glance back you saw Toji and Sukuna finally getting out of the car. You felt a little bad for them but with their looks, they could pick up any girl. What was one little rejection going to do to them?
~
Okay, they were pissing you off. And by they you meant Toji and Sukuna. The two men had gotten a booth together, taking shots in their little corner.
You’ve seen plenty of girls try to talk to them but they turned everyone away!
Were they going to sit there all night knocking shot after shot like some sad teenage boys?!
You were dancing on the light-up floor, red sequin dress swishing side to side, catching the colorful rays of light flashing. Alcohol filled your blood while you groove to the music, but you kept glaring at Sukuna and Toji. Body on autopilot while your mind was reeling.
“You okay?” Nobara questioned as she shimmied and swayed around with Yuuji.
“Yeah!” You nodded your head and gave her a thumb up just in case she didn’t hear you over the music. "I'm going to go check on our sad boys!" Breaking away from the group you beelined to the table in the corner.
They were talking but once they saw you coming the conversation stopped, the two of them gave you their attention as you planted yourself before their table.
"Are you guys kidding?" You questioned with your gaze bouncing between the two.
"What?" Sukuna screamed over the loud music.
You leaned upon the table with your hands on top, getting closer to them. So close that you could smell the alcohol upon their lips mingle in the air.
"I said...are you guys kidding!?"
Toji raised a brow, "What's wrong sweetheart?"
"You two! You guys are just sitting here drinking alone, you don't want to like dance or have fun?" You question hooking your thumb behind you.
Sukuna snorted, "I don't want to dance with someone unworthy of my time."
"Besides..." Toji began with a little grin, "Whoever said we aren't having fun?"
You release a sharp laugh, "Ha! What you two BFF's now?"
"Well..." Toji drawled with a sneaky tone, "...It would appear we got a lot more in common than we thought."
It may have been the alcohol but as the two looked at you with a little snicker you had figured the joke was about them both being rejected.
Little did you know...
"Listen..." You began with a little sigh. "I'm sorry my aunt and mom ditched you guys, I don't know what is going on with them but I hope you guys can still have fun. Let me get you a shot at least."
"On your paycheck?" Sukuna teased.
"So then you know how serious I am!"
"Nah...I'll get it but you'll take one with us." He got up gesturing for you to sit down.
"Deal." You grinned as you slid into the spot Sukuna was in, the seat warm.
As you waited for Sukuna to come back with your drinks you looked toward Toji. You were going to say something but something about him caught you off guard. He was ruggedly handsome. The club lights flashed across his face and danced in his green eyes. His scar only adds to his appearance… you wanted to trace your finger over it. Never had you viewed him in such a way. He was your friend's dad after all and you tried to set him up with your mom. Not that they really knew much about each other but it was just kind of like a… ‘why not?’. See if they kick it off kind of thing.
Megumi was tired of the man being lazy and broke, living off of his divorce money and his wife’s life insurance. You all thought…what if a woman could whip him into shape?
Toji caught you staring at him but you were too slow to act as if you weren’t.
“You stare anymore and ya gonna make me blush sweetheart.” He flashed you a grin that shouldn’t have caused your stomach to stir.
“My bad, I was just looking at your scar.” You lie with ease. “How’d you get it?”
“Ah, this?” He rubbed the back of his fingers upon it. “Got into it with my old man when I was young. We never really saw eye to eye.“
Megumi had told you that they were not close to the Zenin family. Apparently, his grandpa was a narcissistic control freak. “That’s a horrible thing to do to a kid…I’m glad you don’t associate with them anymore and that you didn’t follow in the abuse train.”
Toji seemed pleased with your response, “Yeah…dude was a coward. I’m not a great dad but I don’t think I’m too bad.”
“Well, you lost your wife, so being a single parent for your child and your bitchy ex-wife is… ya know kinda crazy. And come on…” you grin while elbowing him, “… I wouldn’t have set up this date with my mom if I didn’t think you were a good man. You just need some… help.”
“Help huh?”
“Like~” you pop your lips, “A woman’s touch or something. Tsumiki is grown and Megumi is off to college so it’s like you are stuck. Don’t take it the wrong way or anything but you and my mom got this whole I will never love again vibe going on. I think that’s horse shit-oop! Haha, my bad. I guess I usually don’t talk so freely with you.”
“Quite the sailor aren’t you?”
You let out a little laugh as the two of you enjoyed the moment. That’s when Sukuna came back with a bottle and three shot glasses. He squeezed into the booth with you in the middle, setting down the cups.
“Fucking line took forever.” Sukuna cursed filling up the shot glasses.
“See? I get it from my unc.” You joked making Toji chuckle.
Sukuna looked at both of you in confusion, “Get what from me?”
“Cursing.” You smiled grabbing your shot.
“The fuck you do.” The three of you clinked glasses and tapped the table before knocking back the burning liquid. Sukuna let out a frat boy kind of grunt while slamming the glass down so hard you are surprised it didn’t break. “That mouth of yours was always filthy.” He looked toward you with such an expression it gave you whiplash. “Someone atta spank your ass.”
This whole thing was always a game of chicken. Teasing and flirting with each other has just been your way since what feels like the beginning. It was harmless fun. He always talked about spanking you anytime he deemed you being naughty. So you didn’t think twice as you set your gaze, looking up at Sukuna from under your thick fake lashes.
“What? Are you going to spank me?”
Something flashed within his eyes before he settled you with a devilish grin, he leaned closer to you but you didn’t back down. You were never one to back down. Always ready for a challenge especially when it came to Sukuna.
He licked his lips, red gaze bouncing between your eyes and somewhere lower. He then whispered, “You would like that…wouldn’t you?”
Woah-
Something about this felt like it was outside of the playing field. It caught you off guard. What was even more terrifying was the tiny voice in your head that said ‘yes’. Perhaps tomorrow you will blame your stubbornness on the alcohol.
You cocked your head, getting a breath away from him, “You- would like that.”
He didn’t back down, his grin only widening, “We- would like that.”
You blanked falling backward as you disengaged from your game. You look toward Toji who was watching with intense interest. His gaze locked on to you. You had forgotten he was here. Feeling embarrassed that he witnessed such a thing. Yet the way he was staring at you had your body heating up.
Like he enjoyed watching
Suddenly this moment felt strange. You felt naked. Exposed. Like you were in danger… but a delicious kind of danger.
Sukuna had said ‘we’.
“What’s…going on here?” You questioned with a suspicious glare.
Toji cleared his throat as he leaned in closer to you, “Remember…when I said we both had something in common?”
You nodded slowly.
“It’s you.”
“Me?” You asked in shock.
“Yes, you.”
“No- no way! You two were supposed to be dating my mom and aunt may I remind you!”
Sukuna rolled his eyes, “I only said yes so you’d stop nagging me.”
Toji shrugged seemingly agreeing with the statement. “In other words, it was a good thing they canceled. Made us realize after talking we should tell you the truth.”
Your brain was unable to keep up. You felt frozen as they told you their secret. You could not believe this was happening.
You let out a gasp as you felt someone caressing your thigh gently. Looking down you watched as Sukuna smoothed his hand up and down, creating a path of warmth that set fire to other places. Toji’s hand began to play with your hair. You were mesmerized by their touch and voices.
“What do you say…” Toji’s words tickled one ear as Sukuna did the other. “…can you handle both of us brat?”
“…”
~
You moaned in Toji’s lap, tongues slipping against each other in a lewd slop. Your dress rode up over your ass, his hands wrapped around you, pulling you flush against him.
You felt another hand glide over your cheek, fingers slipping to your cunt. Sukuna growled from the driver's seat, trying to get the three of you home as quickly as possible. “You ain’t wearing underwear?”
Toji chuckled breaking apart from your lips, “I told you she wasn’t.”
“How did you know?” You giggle grinding yourself on top of his clothed length.
“Because you are a naughty little vixen.” Toji slapped your ass harshly making you squeak.
“Wearing this skimpy ass outfit with no underwear.” Sukuna also gave you a harsh slap making you gasp. “Slut is just begging for it.”
Your phone had dinged, having fallen onto the floor between Toji’s feet. The screen was a text from Nobara saying she hoped you feel better.
You had made an excuse that you felt sick and Sukuna was going to take you home. Toji had said he was tired and too old to hang with the youngins and the three of you left. Megumi and Yuuji decide to catch a ride with Nobara.
You guys kept it cool until you were in the elevator. As soon as the doors closed that’s when the lustful dance began. The two of them take turns kissing you and pressing you up against the wall. And it didn’t end from there. You could barely get into the car, Toji pulling you into the front seat with him while telling Sukuna to drive safely.
You couldn’t get enough.
Your thirst unable to be quenched.
Sukuna pulled into his garage as you and Toji continued making out. You were too distracted from your session to see that you were finally at your destination. The passenger door was ripped open as Sukuna grabbed a fistful of your hair.
“Hey!” You gasped as he pulled you out of the car, “I hope you are paying for me to get my hair done!”
“Yeah yeah I ruin it I’ll fix it.” Sukuna gave you a lustful kiss, moaning against your lips.
“I guess the dress is on me huh?” Toji chuckled getting out of the car.
You had already heard a tear from your dress, one of your earrings was missing and your heels had a little scruff to it. You made sure to let the men know that they would be replacing anything from their rough handling of you.
Not that you minded.
The door was slammed shut behind you as you were practically carried inside. You were in the foyer kissing Sukuna while Toji slipped your heels off. The three of you nearly tripped over each other to get into the bedroom.
Sukuna unzipped your dress with dexterous fingers, pushing the fabric down. He slapped your tit making it bounce, glaring at you while he nipped your lip, “No bra either. Who let you out like this?”
“I’m a grown woman unc.” You teased. You giggled at the way he glared at you.
You were spun around swiftly and then pushed against Toji as he snapped at him.
“Hold her.”
You heard the rustling of a belt as Toji circled his arms around your waist.
“What are you…” you looked back just as Sukuna yanked your wrist behind you, tying your wrist with the leather belt. You hissed at the slight discomfort.
“Give me your belt.”
Toji shifted around as he took his belt off with one hand handing it to Sukuna. You looked at the exchange with wide eyes. Watching Sukuna fold the belt.
“Wait!”
*SMACK*
“Ai!” You jerked against Toji as the leather snapped against your ass like a swift viper.
Sukuna grabbed a handful of your ass, shaking it as he hissed into your ear. “I don’t want to hear you ever call me unc again!”
*SMACK*!
“Ow! Sukuna!” You were now trying to get away, the harsh slap of the belt had your cheeks ringing in pain.
“Yeah, that’s more like it! You either call me Sukuna or sir, do you understand?” He hit your ass again as you screamed out.
“Yes! Yes!” You cried feeling your eyes water. You didn’t think he was that upset when you called him unc! It was just a prank damn!
“What was that?!” Sukuna growled.
*SMACK*
“YESSSIR!” You cried, that last hit rocking the tears from your eyes. They trailed down your cheeks.
“Aw, she’s crying…” Toji grabbed your chin as he lifted your face. “Such a sweet face.”
You thought he felt bad for you but it seemed to be the opposite. He liked to see your tears.
“Let me see.” Sukuna pulled your head back, his phone in your face.
Your eyes widened in surprise as the flash went off.
“That’s fucking hot…” Sukuna groaned pulling the phone away as he licked at your tears. You didn’t have time to say anything about the picture as Toji licked at your other cheek, hand trailing down as he cupped your sore ass.
You gasp, “Y-you guys are sick.” You glare at them as they only chuckle.
“Another thing we have in common princess.” Toji grinned pushing you onto the bed.
You gasped flopping on the bed, your leg was then grabbed as Toji stuck two fingers inside you.
“Ah~!” You let out a gasp, pussy clinging around his fingers as if it had been dying for this.
“Yet you are so wet…Who’s more sick, it seems you are getting off on this little masochist?”
Sukuna fisted himself out of his pants, grabbing your chin tightly, “You will be crying and wetting our cocks like the little slut you are.”
Toji used his other hand to pull his pants just underneath his length, a fiery gleam in his eyes as he smirked, “And we know you will enjoy it.”
You were shocked to hear Toji agree with such things- Sukuna yes this matched his character but never would you have known Toji to be a closeted sadist.
Did you fuck up?
Who were you kidding?
You let out a moan as the two men shoved their cocks inside you. Toji in your pussy while Sukuna took your mouth.
Gentle? Never heard of her.
You were taken with wild abandonment. And true to their words you shed more tears and gushed upon their lengths. All while they laughed and taunted you with sinister words. Sukuna even dragged his fingers over your tears and wiped them on his cock before entering your cumdumped pussy. They didn’t even ask if they could cum in you- they just did.
How was it possible that they could keep going?
At one point you finally began to beg for them to release your wrists. But they wouldn’t. Like they didn’t want you to try to run away.
They used your body for their pleasure, saying dirty things like how they always wanted to do this to you. Bringing up times when you wore clothes that left nothing to the imagination. Their favorite was the red shorts that cupped your cheeks. They’d talk about masturbating to the thought of you and the pictures they snuck.
You bet this is what they were talking about while sitting in the corner sharing drinks. Sharing their explicit thoughts and pictures of you.
They are actually crazy.
Yet you were still cumming and leaking like a broken faucet. You actually had no shame. No thought. Especially as you bounced up and down Sukuna’s length while sucking on Toji’s cock with greed.
Your eye just so happens to catch the clock on the dresser as you gasp pulling back, “oh crap-“
Sukuna slapped your ass as he leaned back with his hands behind his head, “Keep bouncing.”
“M-my birth control- I need to go take it!” You usually take it before bed but you must not have heard your alarm since your phone was in the car.
That seemed to pause them.
“You what?” Toji questioned.
“I was supposed to take it at eight, I forgot. I was too drunk…maybe I can get a plan b tomorrow… or today seeing as it’s fucking 2 am.”
Sukuna snorted, grabbing your hips tightly, “Not a chance.” He then picked you up and dropped you making you scream. “I’m gonna fuck a baby in you now.”
“Fuck off we didn’t discuss this.” Toji growled while getting behind you. He pushed you down so you could press into Sukuna’s chest and then you felt something poke at your pussy right alongside Sukuna’s cock.
You gasp, “No! I can’t-“
Toji and Sukuna lifted you up as they both tried to cram their cocks inside your cunt. You released a scream as one cock left and another entered, back and forth back and forth. You were stretched unbelievably- the intensity had you sweating and drooling. You were losing your mind. Their vigor turned into something more insatiable. You were lucky they didn’t try to jam both cocks inside you at the same time- you don’t think you’d be able to stretch that much. This already was too much.
You couldn’t stop moaning and crying, begging for something. Perhaps mercy. But they didn’t know the differences, and neither did you.
“Please-! Please-! Ah- please!”
“You want-mm- my cum baby?”
“No, -Ngh- she wants mine. Say it- ah- say you want it.”
You were drowning in it all so you did as you were told screaming, “Yes! Yes, I want it-i-I want your cum!” But you never clarify who’s. That was their own personal problem.
“Fuck-yes baby keep begging for it-“
“I’m going to give it to you- you better take it- “
The two groaned as they came inside you again for the -who knows how many times tonight- but this time it seemed like they gave you the fattest load. The thought of you carrying their child was something that truly kicked off their lust. Your orgasm had you seeing stars and soon you felt as though you blacked out.
You felt them finally untie your hands but your arms just hung with exhaustion. You were laid in the middle of the bed, letting out a light groan. Body exhausted. You had finally hit your limit.
“Crazy…” you mumbled. “Crazy…”
“You bring it out of us.”
Sukuna and Toji shared a laugh as they leaned back in bed cuddling with you, fine with lying in all of the mess and sweat. Filthy men they were. But you doubt that you were far from them. Because you more than enjoyed yourself tonight. And now you will expect to be spoiled like this from now on.
Although you wonder if they were joking about the whole pregnancy thing…were they really trying to get you pregnant?
That was a problem for sober you.

night crawler
summary: gojo loses his glasses at a frat party. geto loses his phone. they’ll soon find out what happened when geto’s phone is returned to him, with several drunken videos taken of that night on his camera roll, but not by him.
contents: modern!au, frat!satosugu, partygirl!reader, drinking, slight hints to itafushi but it’s mainly in jest, reader is besties with itadori and nobara but they’re only one year below gojo and geto, gojo and geto think ur so hot and fun and they want to get to know u. u have them whipped from literal video footage go you, horny thoughts from the both of them but no smut, still 18+! mdni!
notes: i can’t be bothered to make this pretty rn, so sorry!
“dude, where the fuck did my glasses go” gojo slurs snapping his head around the room in an attempt to find them. he has spares, but he’d like to find them anyway.
“i’m kinda busy trying to find my fucking phone?!” geto responds, and gojo throws his hands up defensively.
the party was fucking huge. one of the biggest. the college football team, of which both gojo and geto were a part of, had won a massive anticipated game against their biggest rivals. and as such, a celebration was in order.
there were too many people in this party to count. faces of people the boys had never seen before. they don’t doubt that a good bunch of the guests don’t even go to their college. they don’t care. they end up getting too drunk to care about their lost items, convinced they'll find them soon enough. they get busy with the huddles of women that surround them and before they know it they’re either blacked out or passed out, they don’t care.
they do care in the morning, however, with raging hangovers and girls who have overstayed their welcome, of whom they usher out of their rooms as soon as possible. they meet coincidentally in the hallway and make their way downstairs for breakfast.
“dude, suguru, we found your phone!” one of the bros shouts to him and geto sighs a sigh of relief. gojo then whines about his glasses still being missing. he goes off to check the aftermath of the party for his glasses, and gives up when he decides he can’t see them past the red solo cups and dead disposables vapes that litter all corners of the floor.
as gojo potters back into the kitchen, geto is in the middle of checking through his phone, making sure it's okay and trying to find evidence of what happened that night. he soon finds it in his camera roll.
a string of videos are available that weren’t there previously, all of varying lengths. he taps on the first one, as gojo looks over his shoulder in curiosity.
some guys is recording using the back camera, as the first couple of seconds of the video show just the surroundings. the camera then twists around, and they get a look at who’s behind the camera. at first, they just see the guy with pink hair? he’s singing to the current song playing, which happens to be night crawler by travis scott. the frame then widens to allow one more person into the view. and gojo figures out where his glasses went.
coming into the frame was one of the prettiest girls either boy had ever seen. perched on her head were gojo's signature glasses. your voice is croaky as you shout out to the camera.
“we found this phone on the ground! we were worried it’d get smashed so we picked it up but we couldn’t find the owner, so we thought we’d take care of it instead!!" you scream at the camera and get a little too close, evidently drunk.
the buildup of the chorus begins and both you and your friend look at each other with excitement, beginning to dance and sing along to the song. your friend turns in front of you so its just you in the frame, and you pull gojos glasses down from your head and into the top of your nose, looking through them into the camera as you sing along. more of your friends come into frame, and you're all dancing together.
“i don’t know whose glasses these are!!!! some guy just put them on my head but they're cute so i'm borrowing them for the night!! i'll leave them here though! hopefully…” you mumble and then the chorus is about to start and you both start jumping and screaming and dancing, and all the boys can think about is how fucking hot you are and how glad they were they lost their items to you. you pull the glasses down your nose again to wink at the camera as you and some girl they assume is your friend start dancing on each other. both men gulp at the sight.
“fuck, she’s pretty.” geto mumbles and gojo just hums and nods in agreement, almost in a trance. he urges geto to keep watching the videos
the rest of the videos are like a compilation of sorts, mainly if you dancing and drinking and gojo and geto both think you’re so much fun and so fucking pretty, they feel their cocks beginning to strain in their pants. god, you’re so so pretty, gojo just wants to fuck you silly in just his glasses, and geto can stop thoughts of how good you'd look on camera as you cum all over his dick. they both baulk at the sudden debauchery that forced its way into their minds. they try to shake such impure thoughts of someone they don't even know out of their heads.
the next video catches their attention. it's longer than the last couple, and it starts with you propping up the phone on the counter of a bathroom, with your pink-haired friend and a brunette girl who had been dancing with you the entire night. gojo notes that you've pushed his glasses up back onto your head, revealing your full pretty face to them again, this time in better lighting.
"maaan i wish megumi were here!" your guy friend said, as you take your lip combo from him that he'd been keeping safe for you in the pocket of his jeans. gojo and geto begin to worry your relationship with him was not platonic. wait what? "you know him, yuuji, hell would freeze over before he came to one of these" you giggle as you uncap your lip liner and start applying it in the mirror. yuuji. the boys make a mental note at that name.
“stiilllllllll,” he whines, “doesn’t mean I’ll miss him any less.” the other girl in the room laughs at this. “christ, separate yuuji from his boyfriend and all of a sudden he’s pouting like toddler.” you stop applying your lip liner to giggle at her, definitely finding it a tad too funny. you’re cute when you’re drunk, they conclude. “he’s not my boyfriend.” the boy they now know as yuuji has adopted a tone akin to a child being denied their favourite candy at the store. “that’s what you think.” you giggle and move to apply your lipgloss.
now, gojo and geto like to think they’re not absurdly dirty minded. yes, they’re pretty sex driven, as any boy their age is, but they both felt like a pair of prepubescent boys seeing boobs for the first time when you applied your lipgloss to your pretty pretty lips. The colour compliments you so well, and they just want to kiss is right off you, better yet have it smeared on their co-
christ they both need a cold shower.
“girl I’ll never get over that combo on you.” the other girl in the room with you says. “right? i love it so much.” you say looking at both you her in the reflection of the mirror. “god we’re so hot nobara.” you say and this ‘nobara’ squeals in agreement as you giggle together. yuuji smiles at the interaction, and you turn to the camera.
“hey mystery person, don’t we all look hot?” and you swing your arms over your two friends and you look so happy, you all giggling together. god, you were pretty, fun and your smile was gorgeous. did you have any flaws? the boys both startle when you and yuuji gasp as you begin to hear ‘no hands’ by waka flocka flame from the speakers outside the party. “oh fuck i love this song i am not missing it. let’s go!” you squeal and grab the camera, pressing a kiss to the lens as a goodbye.
it wasn’t a final goodbye, evidently, as there were more videos. they were more of the short miscellaneous dancing ones, though they weren’t complaining. your body was to die for, and seeing you move like that? yeah, absolutely no complaints. they make it to the final video, which is just you in what they think is their supply closet? you still have gojo glasses on, and you speak as loudly as you can, music still penetrating to the room with you.
“we’re about to leave! yuuji got to drunk and is throwing up somewhere and nobara is keeping him in check… i hope. so i came to say gooooodbye! this is kinda sad, this was so fun. sorry for stealing your phone for the night, mystery person. we just wanted to keep it safe, i hope you weren’t too worried! im hoping to put it on the nightstand of a bedroom that isn’t currently occupied by horny college goers, so hopefully one of the frat bros finds it and can keep hold of it until you come to collect it! i hope you had as much fun tonight as i did, mwah!” and you finish by blowing a kiss to the camera with a wink. both of them are pretty upset the vlogs have ended, and it’s pretty evident you ended up going home with gojo glasses. oh well, they’re in great hands now anyway.
“you have to send me those.” gojo says after a beat. “in you dreams.” geto replies and gojos mouth drops at this. “it’s my phone.” geto declares. “well, yeah but she was wearing my glasses. and she said they were cute. cmon man.” and they begin to squabble when they’re interrupted by one if the brothers, calling their attention to a guest who probably lost something last night and came to get it back. they don’t expect to see who’s actually there.
it’s you. less dolled up and in casual clothes but still as fucking pretty. you’re evidently tired, and they can feel the embarrassment radiate from you. they immediately stop arguing, geto turning off his phone and turning to face you.
“um, im so sorry to interrupt your day,” you start and they both think about how thankful they were you did interrupt their day. “i, err, i accidentally took home these glasses last night. i don’t know who they belong to, so i thought it was a safe bet to drop them off here in case someone comes looking for them.” you shuffle your feet shyly and bring forth the glasses for them to see. who knew such a party girl could get so shy. god you were so fucking sweet it was almost bad for them. gojo grins and begins to step forward.
“those are mine, pretty girl. thanks for returning ‘em.” gojo grins as he walks up to you. you flush, and geto comes to join his bestfriends side. the pretty girl they’d been entranced by all morning was now right in front of them. and they’ll be damned if they this opportunity go to waste.

ohemgee hi! I saw ur post asking for requests and wanted to request something that's been flosting around in my head for a while- could i request a PLATONIC gojo satoru x fem!reader and a romantic bestfriend! megumi fushiguro x fem!reader where megumis out on a mission and reader misses him so she's ranting and complaining to gojo about it? Also i was thinking like reader just has a crush on megumi (megumi also likes her back) and reader's yearning over him to gojo and gojo's just like "WE GET IT." If u don't wanna write it with gojo, i don't mind the request with literally any other student in the tokyo jujutsu high! Thank u in advance! (Feel free to ignore this if u dont wanna write it <3)
Missing U
Characters: Megumi Fushiguro Type: Oneshot, Fluff, Fem!Reader
sort of wrote Gojo in here but not really >.< hope u like anyway!
Warnings: none
"Sighh..."
Currently you were sprawled upside down on the common room couch. Yuuji was watching one of his weird films on the TV while Nobara was flipping through some teen magazine. The only first year that was missing was Megumi.
"Siggggghhhhh."
Your two friends continued to ignore you, focusing on whatever had their attention at the moment. You sunk towards the floor, deciding to just let yourself fall and rest there.
"SIIIIGGGGHHH-"
"Girl if you don't SHUT THE FUCK UP I'm going to have to beat the shit out of you," Nobara warned, her eyebrow twitching in annoyance as she gripped her magazine tighter.
"What's up with you anyways?" Yuuji asks, eyes still focused on the TV.
You sat up, resting your arms and head against the couch cushions.
"I miss my man."
Your pink haired friend raised an eyebrow at this, glancing down at your pouting self before Nobara clarified.
"By her man, she means Megumi."
"Since when were you guys together?"
You huffed, leaning further into the couch while you mumbled out your response.
"We're together in my head."
Megumi had been your best friend since you got to Jujutsu Tech. He was the only other first year at the time, and even though he's pretty nonchalant most of the time he wasn't too hard to get close to. Honestly, he lets you get away with a lot of stuff that wouldn't slide had it been anyone else.
But that's just because you guys have known each other the longest, right?
"Why don't you just ask him out then?" Yuuji asked.
Your crush on Megumi was anything but a secret. All of the students knew, Gojo knew, hell, even the students from the Kyoto sister school could tell. Everyone knew but Megumi himself it seems.
"It's not that simple Yuuji!! I want him to make the first move. Besides, I don't even know if he's into me like that. What if he- OW!"
Before you could go on a rant, Nobara chucked her magazine right at your face.
"We get it, you're in love! If you're not going to do anything about it then stop complaining!"
It was silent for a few moments, save for the sound of the TV and rustling of paper while your brunette friend retrieved her magazine.
Several beats of silence.
Until-
"Siigghhhhhh...I miss him..."
With a scowl on her face, Nobara rolled up her magazine and raised it in preparation to hit you. You braced yourself for impact and as if on cue, you heard two sets of footsteps approaching.
"Guess who's back from that totally important mission!" your teacher spoke. You practically shot up from your spot on the floor, before leaning against the back of the couch, trying to act as cool as possible.
"Welcome back. How'd it go?"
"It went great! As a matter of fact, it went so great you should go hang out with your best friend!"
Gojo rests his hands on Megumi' shoulder, positioning the dark haired boy in front of him while Nobara got up from her spot to drag you around the couch and push you towards the door.
"Yeah, for the love of god, take her!"
The brunette shoved you outside, Gojo following suit to do the same to Megumi before giving you a "Have fun!" before slamming the door shut.
It was just now you realized the boy was holding a (favorite color) gift bag, a light shade of pink dusted over his cheeks as he avoided eye contact.
"Here. For you," he said, bringing his arm up to hold the bag out to you.
"Thanks Megs, but what's this for?"
"Just open it."
You opened up the bag and looked inside to see an arrangement of your favorite snacks. Taped on the inside of the bag was a note, that you gently peeled off and read to yourself. In neat handwriting it read
'Will you be my girlfriend?'

Ritual
Summary: Choso Likes sneaking into ur room when ur out on missions...
Warnings: Stalker Choso, Invasion of Privacy, Masturbation
Word Count: 1.2k
A/N: This was a blurb from a bigger fic that just felt a little too bloated,,, and if you've seen this before its because i posted it on a backup acc! also if formatting is off, ill fix it in the morning <3
It’s a secret. Something he doesn’t plan on letting anyone else know, something he doesn’t ever want you to find out either. Something that, deep down, he knows he should be ashamed of, but he does it anyway.
The halls are quiet as he creeps across the wooden floors of the teacher’s dorms. Lamplight flickers, moths lazily flitting around them as his shadow blinks in and out of existence, the only proof of his late night rendezvous. Rounding the corner, his eyes sharply analyze the inky darkness, ears tuned in to the listless noise of the night, crickets chirping and the sound of trickling water from the koi pond outside. Easily he finds his way, knowing the path all too well. When he approaches the door, the knob lets out little more than a dry creak at the pressure of his hand, but he’s still careful of how the old wooden door moans in protest at his intrusion.
Your room is as quiet as it usually is when he makes these visits. You’re always gone, off on some mission he knows with certainty is below your pay grade. It leaves an ache in his heart he won’t admit to but still feels every time you leave. A deep-seated worry for your safety. He knows your capable, but then again, he had deemed his younger brothers capable of holding their own too.
He soundlessly closes the door before rubbing his sweaty palms on the pajama bottoms Yuuji picked out for him. Still trying to figure out if he likes this new style of dress, arguably finding his robes more comfortable to wear.
When he steps deeper into the room he’s greeted by the sweet smell that tends to linger around you, and it calms the mad thumping of his heart. Your room is neat, organized, like it usually is whenever you leave. Your bedsheets, however, are a different story, and his hand’s twitch that the sight of them. It’s been too long since he’s had this pleasure, its sick, he knows, but he finds solace in the feel of your sheets around him. Cocooned in the scent you leave behind and wrapped in what feels like the proverbial softness that you spare to him.
With a shaky sigh Choso climbs into your bed, cool sheets slowly warming up to him stirs something deep in his chest.
It’s not the first time he’s done this, not even the second, but the searing guilt that momentarily burns through his stomach still makes his wandering hands falter. Of course they continue down his body, lightly grazing the dark hairs that dust just below his navel before continuing lower, past the confinement of his bottoms and down, down, down, until he’s reached his destination. His cock is already firm, warm to the touch and more sensitive than it needs to be as memories of you lazily drift in and out of his consciousness. His skin feels hot, throat tight at the intimacy of it all.
Would you be as open and welcoming if you knew? If you saw how his hand lazily pumped his cock in the one place you thought you had privacy? He tries not to think about it. Instead, busying himself with tracing his fingers on the underside of his shaft, a whimper drawn tight in his throat and only breaching the air once he exchanges the lazy touches for a too firm grip at the base. His grip only lessens once his hand moves upward, coming almost completely off before slowly sliding back down. It’s something that should be savored, he doesn’t get this opportunity very often, and so he takes his time. He’s seen you once, all dolled up to take Nobara and Yuuji shopping in Tokyo. You were wearing tight fitting clothes, something he enjoyed about this century’s fashion. He could see so much skin, your legs on display in a pair of shorts, a blouse that did nothing to hide the valley of your cleavage to his prying eyes. Choso was extremely grateful when you left. Hiding himself away until the urge became too irresistible. Until his hands had greedily pumped his swollen cock at the thought of you. Just as they did now, except this time his movements were careful, precise.
With a lick of his lips, he shifts his gaze to your bedside table. It’s almost ritualistic at this point, an itch he just can’t scratch that rears its ugly head the moment his sweeping gaze finds the picture frame. Your smiling face stares back at him behind the glass. There are other people, but he can only see you. Can only smell you and hear the tinkling sound of your voice as you say his name. His pace becomes faster, breath heavier as he imagines how it’d sound to hear you moan it. How it would feel to have your lips on his neck and your hands on his body. An audible choking noise echoes in the emptiness of the room as Choso’s free hand cups the weight of his balls. As if the movement was unintentional on his part, shocking him with the warmth of his palm and he has to tighten his fist against the base of his cock to keep from cumming. The movement doesn’t work in his favor, the elastic of his pants rubbing against the sensitive underside and making his hips stutter on a broken whine as his orgasm washes through his body. Hot lashes of cum paint the skin of his hips and the front of his pants. Whimpering, he quickly picks up his pace in an effort to prolong the sensation, hand tightening around his balls and eyes dotting with tears as he breaches into the feeling of oversensitivity and forces his body to continue. It’s not fair, none of it is fair. He shouldn’t be so sensitive, biting back a whine he continues lazily fucking his fist, hips arching into the rough feel of it. Surely, you’d be so much softer, your mouth, your hands, your pussy. The thought alone is enough to make his hips jerk up in search of something more. By the time he’s finished torturing himself, cum has started to dry on his pants.
It’s not a big deal, Choso knows exactly where you keep tissues. Knows that once he wipes himself down, he needs to take the evidence with him, stuff the mess into his own pocket. He’ll hesitate as he goes to leave, a sickening urge to stay roiling in the pit of his stomach. Just like always.
The cycle will inevitably repeat itself. You’ll leave, he’ll invite himself in, curse as he gets droplets of cum on your sheets, and leave once the excitement has worn off. You’ll return and give him that same warm smile you always save for him.
Deep down he’s wondering how long until your face twists in disgust. How long until you find out who he truly is. His cock twitches at the thought, blood shooting to his pelvis, his fingers clamp hard around the base as he tries to catch his breath, suddenly winded at the thought. Lazily, he starts pumping again, the only noise being the wet glide of his fist and whispers of your name spoken into the cool night air.

Japan has always been so beautiful during spring. It’s February, and the flowers are in bloom. Young love has also begun to blossom around the school. It is Valentine’s Day, and there is a great deal of chocolates, bouquets, letters, and love confessions. Everyone seemed to have someone to spend the day with except you.
Nobara usually spends the day with you, but plans changed this year. “Maki and I have a cute date. This is gonna be our first Valentine together!” She swooned, and you groaned, dropping your head onto the desk.
Megumi plopped himself down next to you. “What’s wrong with them?”
“They don’t want to spend today alone.” Nobara rolled her eyes at your antics. “Oh!” She aggressively patted Megumi’s shoulders as an idea appeared, earning a glare. “Why don’t you keep them company, Megs?”
“I wish to spend today alone. Gojo is making me go see a new movie that came out. Said he needed ‘emotional support’. Geto needs to stop playing and get him off my back.” It was Megumi’s turn to groan now.
Yuji entered the classroom to see his two sulking friends with their heads hung low and a disappointed Nobara. It was similar to when he would get scolded by Nanami. He shivered at the memory.
“Uh, what is happening?” He cautiously stepped closer to his friends. Nobara poked at the moping duo to get up, but no one budged. “They’re being whiny.”
“Spending the day alone is fine, but I’ve always wanted someone to spend it with. Receiving flowers, a cute note, and overall just being wanted by someone.” Your words were completely muffled but understood nonetheless, receiving a comforting pat on the head from Nobara. “You will.”
You finally looked at her, “Oh, yeah? who?”
“Me.”
“HUH?!” They all simultaneously broke their necks to look at the pinkette. Even Megumi snapped out of his grief to gape at him. Nobara was flabbergasted, to say the least. Megumi? speechless. But, when wasn’t he? Yuji ignored the astonished stares of the room and focused on your gaze instead. “I was thinking since we’re both free, I was wondering if…” Yuji nervously stuffed his hands in his pockets before continuing, “You’d spend the day with me?”
As they looked at each other, time seemed to slow down, and Nobara's retorts were completely ignored. You started to think about what today meant and how nice it would be to be part of it with a person like Yuji. He has always been kind to you, flashing the sweetest smile your way when he sees you. His presence was welcoming, and you couldn’t help but feel at home. Plus, you were friends, so why wouldn’t you agree?
“Pick me up at my dorm?” A grin spread across his face, eyes twinkling. “I’ll see you at 5 o’clock then.”
After Yuji left, Nobara and Megumi’s eyes were boring into you. You furrowed your brows at them, shifting uncomfortably in your seat. “What?”
“Dude…Yuji just asked you out on a date!” She exclaimed, shaking your shoulders in excitement.
“Quit it, Bara! He did not! We’re just hanging out as friends.” She stared at you blankly as if saying, ‘You’re fucking joking, right?’
You looked to Megumi for support, but he just shook his head judgementally as if he was telepathically calling you an idiot. He was.
: 𓏲🌷 ๋࣭ ࣪ ˖✩࿐࿔ 🎀𖦹ִ ࣪
“Oh my god, how many times do I have to tell you that it’s not a date?”
“Until you stop being stupid.”
It was 4:57, and you were currently being pestered by Nobara on the phone while getting ready for your date hang out with Yuji. Nobara was propped up on your vanity while you were doing your makeup, “We’re just two friends hanging out on Valentine’s Day. If he wanted to ask me out on a date, he would’ve worded it differently.”
The girl on the other line stayed silent, considering it and understanding your point. But, she knew Yuji. You may not have noticed, but she had seen how differently he treated you compared to them.
He was normally very friendly and playful towards them but it was different with you. He often joked, but she noticed how he would always look at you first. When you’re sick, he’s the first one at your door with medicine and soup. Even during the times when you cling to him after he gets injured during one of his missions, his top priority is to comfort you and wipe the tears of worry off your face.
Nobara had been friends with him long enough to know that he hid his emotions very well. He was never the open type, but Nobara could always tell how he felt.
And from the look in his eyes earlier when you agreed, Yuji really thought he finally had you. Her heart ached for him, but she knew he had to tell you himself.
“Listen, Y/n, Yuji may seem to have it together, but he has never been good with his words and makes up for it with his actions. So, keep that in mind, okay?”
There had been a knock on your door at the moment. You said your goodbyes to Nobara before hanging up. You checked yourself out in the mirror to make sure everything was in place. After fixing your hair and spritzing some perfume, you open to door and are greeted by a beaming Yuji holding a bouquet of…pink paper tulips?
“I made these for you.” He held them out to you, and you could feel your heart pounding at the sweet gesture. You reached out to take them, your hands accidentally brushing, causing the two of you to flinch away from the contact. Two hearts pounding in unison.
Yuji laughed awkwardly and scratched the back of his neck, eyes looking everywhere but at you. When he did finally look at you, a blush crept up his face as he silently marveled at your outfit.
“You look really pretty, Y/n.” Your brain short-circuited at that moment.
It’s not a date. It’s not a date. It’s not a date.
“Thank…thank you, you look pretty too.” Wait, can you say that? No clue.
Yuji laughed genuinely at your compliment and extended his arm to you. “Ready?”
: 𓏲🌷 ๋࣭ ࣪ ˖✩࿐࿔ 🎀𖦹ִ ࣪
Yuji mentioned that the place he wanted to take you was pretty far, so you had to take a train, which you obliged to. Knowing him, you expected him to make this a fun experience for you because that was just the kind of person he was. What you hadn’t expected was a packed train.
The train is usually filled with children, parents, businessmen, elders, etc. So, it was no surprise that it was particularly crammed today. You and Yuji maneuvered through the crowd, attempting to find a secluded area or an available seat. Thankfully, you did.
Unfortunately, there was only one spot was left.
The two of you bickered back and forth about who would take the seat. Yuji insisted you take it, but you stubbornly argued he should instead.
“You can take it. I can stand.”
“No, I’ll stand, and you sit.”
In the end, Yuji wound up taking the seat, but with you in his lap.
His hands were snug where they were wrapped around your waist, his head resting comfortably on your shoulder. You felt how fast his heart was thumping against your back despite his calm demeanor. You leaned against him because you couldn’t deny how nice it felt to be held by him. He was so warm and smelled so good, and you honestly couldn't think about anything else but the boy that clung to you.
This isn’t a date. This isn’t a date, This isn’t a date. He’s just being nice—
“Are you okay with this?”
Yes.
Definitely.
Absolutely.
You placed your hands over him as a way to reassure him that you were okay and trusted him. He silently nodded his head and relished in the moment of being able to be this close to you. You consumed him; your body radiated a type of warmth that not even the sun could provide him. Everything about you was just lovely. The sweet scent of your perfume and the honeyed fragrance of the shampoo in your hair was heavenly to him. Whether this time with you had a positive outcome or not, he was just happy to be with you. Having you in his arms like this was one of the best things to happen today.
“Yuji?” He acknowledged you with a hum, the vibrations thrumming against your back like the train rumbling around them. “Where exactly are we going?”
He adjusted his grip on you and thought for a moment, trying to decide whether he should tell you or not, and you could mentally picture the mischievous grin on his face as he said, “You’ll see when we get there.”
You peeked over to glare at him, “You’re really not gonna tell me?”
“’Course not.”
I’m gonna beat the shit out of him.
: 𓏲🌷 ๋࣭ ࣪ ˖✩࿐࿔ 🎀𖦹ִ ࣪
Yuji currently had his hands over your eyes, leading you to god knows where. No matter how often you poked and probed at him, he refused to relent.
“Just tell me, please?! One hint?”
“No.”
You groaned and blindly followed his lead, literally. The tepid spring breeze caressed your skin softly, and you listened to the swaying of the trees as you felt something prickle at your bare legs. The more you walked, the more you started to realize you were stepping on grass.
The wind blew harder, and you felt a wisp of a feather-like touch against your cheek. The suspense and secrecy were killing you. “Yuji, where are we—”
“Okay, we’re here.”
He removed his hands from your face, and your words immediately died in your throat. You were standing in a field of cherry blossom trees. You have never seen such a sight like this before. The meadow was covered in scarlet and ivory corolla, and you drank it all.
In the center of it all, there lay a single pink blanket and a picnic basket. There was a wide spread of all your favorite foods and desserts. Your mouth watered at the sight of the decorative cupcakes, cookies, drinks, fruits, and sandwiches.
“You did all this?!” You gawked, eyes flickering between the display and your friend.
“Well…I made the food and organized the setup...in way.”
You and Yuji plopped down on the duvet. You picked up a cupcake with a sloppily frosted heart on top and took a bite.
You suspiciously eyed Yuji. “Did you make these?”
“Yeah, why?”
“Because your pipe work is shit.” You laughed while Yuji threw you a look. You remember a time when he attempted to make your birthday cake for a surprise party the group had planned. To say the least, it was a mess because the letters looked like a child scribbled on them. You recall the look on Nobara’s and Megumi’s faces and smiled at the memory. Even though he’s not great in the kitchen, you can tell that everything he made today was prepared with a certain fondness.
You and Yuji spent the rest of your time eating and talking. The atmosphere was pleasant. Aside from all the flowers that surrounded you, you could feel something blooming in your chest the more time you spent with him.
From an outsider's point of view, you resembled a couple. How close you two were sitting, the longing looks, the light graze of fingers, and even the way you were finding excuses to feed each other.
You bit into a chocolate-covered strawberry and savored the deliciously sweet flavor. “Here.” You plucked another one off the plate and held it before Yuji’s lips. “Try this.”
He wasn’t a huge fan of chocolate, but who was he to turn away from being fed a strawberry by his crush? A fool, that’s what. He leaned forward and took a small bite, chewing slowly and trying not to gag from the taste.
You looked at him expectantly, eyes sparkling under the sunlight. “Do you like it?”
He gave you a quivered smile, causing you to burst out in a fit of laughter and hand him a napkin. “You can spit it out.” Yuji stubbornly shook his head and swallowed. Whether he liked it or not, he would eat whatever you gave him.
“Yuji…you didn’t have to eat it.” You wiped off a chunk of chocolate on the corner of his mouth.
He cleared his throat awkwardly, trying to suppress the blush forming on his face. He failed.
He looked at you with an unreadable expression. An expression you’ve never seen on his face before. It was almost…serious. “I had to. I’ve never made a habit of denying you, Y/n.”
Your brows furrowed at that. You were never good at reading people. Especially people like Yuji. You weren’t sure if there was a hidden meaning behind his statement. Yes, he always tried to indulge in your interests and let you ramble about your latest fixation. But what did he mean by “deny you”?
You were about to ask when you felt a sudden drip on your head. Grey clouds suddenly loomed over you, casting a shadow over you and Yuji. Tiny droplets turned into a downpour, completely drenching you and your perfect picnic.
The two of you ran to take cover under one of the cherry blossom trees. It didn’t help much, but it lessened the impact of the rain. You watched from a distance as your food got completely destroyed. You could feel how the mood had shifted. The look on Yuji’s face confirmed that.
“I am so sorry.” His apology left you at a loss for words.
“What are you sorry for?” You softly asked.
He didn’t look at you as he said, “I didn’t check the weather. I would’ve brought an umbrella if I did. I completely ruined this date. I wanted to make this a memorable day for you.”
His words struck. You quickly turned to him at his dejection and wanted nothing more than to provide comfort. But there were so many things scrambling through your mind at the moment that you had no idea what to focus on. The fact that Yuji had confirmed this was a date. The fact that he felt he had ruined everything when it was the complete opposite. Or the fact that he had thought about this so carefully because he wanted to make you happy. You couldn’t believe he thought of himself as a failure when you felt so lucky to have him.
“Yuji I…”
“I spent an hour making all that food. I had to remake those cupcakes four times because I kept burning them, and now they’re soaked. I was never much a baker, but I did it for you.”
“Yuji…” You tried again.
Except, he didn’t hear you. He watched as the bouquet he gave you earlier wilt under the rainfall. His fists and jaw clenched, he said, “You know, that bouquet took hours to make. I practically burned my fingers multiple times because of the glue gun I used, but I knew it was worth it because I wanted to give you something that wasn’t temporary. Flowers die so fast, and I knew how much you loved them, so I made sure they would last forever and the rain ruined it—”
“Yuji!” Your hands cupped his face, forcing him to look at you. “I loved everything you did today. I loved the flowers, I loved the picnic, and god, I loved being with you. I wouldn't have had it any other way.” It was hard to maintain eye contact due to the droplets constantly getting your line of vision, but Yuji could see the sincereness in your gaze.
But you had more to say. You had to make sure he truly understood. “I don’t care that it didn’t go exactly as planned. I loved it regardless, and I…” You stopped, scanning his features. The look of shock in his light brown eyes, his mouth slightly parted as he waited for you to finish.
“I realized today how much I love you. I really love you, Yuji.” Not wasting a second, you closed the space between you and pressed your lips against his. He was quick to return your affections, placing his hands on your hips and pulling you closer. Bodies flushed together as your mouths moved in a smooth rhythm. He kissed you desperately as if he had been wanting to do it for a long time. He kissed like you provided him oxygen, so passionate and so devoting.
He pulled away to catch his breath, face crimson and disheveled. “I really love you too, Y/n.” He was about lean in for round two until…
“Finally!” A voice screamed suddenly.
There was a smack and yelp. “Will you shut up?” A hushed voice snarled. The two of you could hear the two strangers murmuring back and forth, bickering.
It had sounded all too familiar.
“Gojo sensei, is that you?” Yuji called out. The white-haired male peeked out from behind the tree, waving at the pair. “Sorry, didn’t mean to interrupt!”
You exchanged a look with Yuji at the sight of your teacher crashing your date. “Who else is with you?”
Gojo reached next to him and pulled a drenched and scowling Megumi to his side. If looks could kill, Gojo would be dead again. Your eyes flickered between the two and back at Yuji. “What are you guys doing here?”
Megumi sighed. “Yuji asked us if we could help him by setting up this picnic while he went to pick you up so everything could already be ready by the time you got here. But, you guys arrived before we could leave so we hid behind the tree.”
“So, you lied about the movie?”
He shrugged. “Pretty much.”
You swatted Yuji’s chest at that. “You told me you set this up yourself!” Yuji giggled, taking hold of your hand against his chest, and apologetically kissed your forehead. “Sorry, I should’ve been more clear.”
Ultimately, Gojo took everyone back to the school, throwing away all the soggy food and packing the dampened blanket and basket in his trunk. Gojo and Megumi sat in the front while you and Yuji cuddled in the backseat. The only sound you could hear was the pitter-patter of the rain, the gentle blow of the car heater, and the sooth thumping of Yuji’s heartbeat as you laid against his chest. The atmosphere was quiet and cozy and you felt your eyes growing heavy, unable to stay awake.
“Happy Valentine’s day, Y/n.” Yuji mumbled tenderly against your hair before you fell into a peaceful sleep.

⚰️~ hello, everyone! welcome back to another post. i finally finished my masterlist, so now it will be updated as i write and upload new works. see my pinned post to find the masterlist <33 anyway, here are some nsfw jjk headcanons. ive done these before, with death note and hxh, and they can be found in the masterlist! i will probably do this for all the fandoms i write for lmao 💚 enjoy, ily <33
˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*·̩̩̥͙ nsfw ahead, fem!reader, eating out
𝐝𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐞𝐚𝐭 😺? 𝐟𝐭. 𝐣𝐮𝐣𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐮 𝐤𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐞! 𝐟𝐭. (aged up!) 𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐢, 𝐧𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐚, 𝐦𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐦𝐢, 𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢, 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢
𝐲𝐮𝐣𝐢 𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐢
some people are weird about eating 😺, but not itadori. he’ll do whatever you want to make you feel good. he might not really know what he’s doing at first, but a nudge in the right direction and he’s got it- just tell him where it feels best when he runs his tongue over your sex and itadori will never forget. he’s really eager with it, too, kinda like a puppy tbh with his tongue flicking up and down your clit. (a/n-bitch what the fuck kinda comparison is that stop😭😭) itadori asks constantly “does this feel good?” “does that feel good?” and he’ll just keep going like that even when he’s obviously doing well and you can’t even get a word out to answer him. he’s really good at making you finish, not too fast and not too slow, and he’ll swallow whatever comes out of you.
𝐧𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐤𝐮𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐤𝐢
nobara, believe it or not, is a tiny bit shy about being eaten out or eating someone else out. still, she’s not selfish, so nobara will definitely eat you out if you really want her to. she might start out a bit tentative. she isn’t really the “does this feel good?” type like itadori, but she does pay attention to your body language, like where she kisses you that makes your breath hitch or where she licks that makes your moans louder. when nobara gets the hang of it, though, she kinda gets cocky, but not in a genuinely mean way. she’s more like a soft dominant type, like “that feel good, huh, baby?” or “you like when i do this, don’t you?” AGH i wish this girl was real im literally so weak for her.
𝐦𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐦𝐢 𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐫𝐨
suspiciously enough, he’s very good at it (what girl taught u this nigga?🤨) the only thing is he can be a tiny bit timid, so he’s a little slow to make you cum. as a result, though, megumi’s great at edging, however unintentionally. he can stall an orgasm for just long enough that it feels twice as amazing when you finally come. he is also big on foreplay, and makes you wait until he actually puts his mouth on you. expect lots of light thigh kisses and breathplay before megumi actually eats you out. he also likes to use his fingers on you simultaneously, except he goes agonizingly slowly on purpose just to listen to your needy whimpers. he’s honesty just as cocky as someone like gojo would be doing this, just in a much quieter way, but you can see it in his eyes.
𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢
he eats your 😺 mainly for his own pleasure. because of this, he likes to prolong the time before you come as much as possible- toge’s very big on edging. obviously he can’t dirty talk, but his actions speak for themselves. he kisses you a lot, both during and after eating you out as praise. when you grind your hips into his tongue, toge squeezes your thighs to let you know you’re doing a good job. he also does not care about wiping his mouth off after you cum in his mouth before kissing you- he loves hearing the tiny whimpers you emit when you taste yourself on his lips.
𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢 𝐳𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧
i kinda hc that maki is wlw anyway (please don’t kill me), so she’s not new to eating 😺. at the same time, though, that means not every girl likes the same things, so she’s very attentive to how your body reacts and asks every now and then if what she’s doing feels good. maki is big on edging and overstimulation- she won’t let you come for the longest time and make you beg for it and then immediately after make you come until you physically can’t anymore. also soft dom energy- “you’re doing so well, pretty girl” or “come on, beautiful, i know you can come just one more time for me, okay?” although maki does overstimulate you, she isn’t mean about it, and will definitely periodically make sure she isn’t doing too much. she’s also the type who lets out these low, barely audible moans when she’s eating you out- that’s how much she enjoys making you feel good.

Chapter Fourteen
——————————————————————————————————
“Please welcome Kanoko Hisakawa,” Yaga gestured to the tall woman walking through the door. “She will be a new teacher here as of today.”
She tossed her green hair over her shoulder, piercing the room with a smile before bowing, “It’s nice to meet you!”
The students erupted in murmurs, leaning in close to one another to speak in hushed tones.
“I heard that she was a direct recommendation from the Governor,” Panda whispered.
“Salmon roe,” responded Inumaki softly.
Yaga quieted the class with an irritated shout before continuing, “Hisakawa will be helping you all with team strategizing, she’ll evaluate how you do today during the exchange event and give notes.”
Maki dragged her eyes over Kanoko, assessing her threat level, “Hope you won’t be a waste of time.”
Gojo clapped before turning to his students, “Now. Now. Let’s not forget why we’re here,” he stood with a dramatic flair. “To beat our sister school and bring glory to your beloved sensei.”
He pointed his finger - moving it in a half circle, “Don’t forget, if you shame me out there I will disown you,” he nodded as he spoke. “Then who will care about you? Principal Yaga?”
Gojo jutted his thumb in his direction, Yaga crossed his arms - his face hardening.
Kugisaki rolled her eyes, her elbow resting on the desk propping her head up.
“Iyashi-senpai would,” she stated, lazily rolling her neck to stick him with an indifferent stare. “She’d probably be a better teacher than you anyways.”
Gojo clutched his heart, “Words can hurt, Nobara.”
“Let’s get this over with so we can warm up before it starts,” Fushiguro stood from his desk, stepping towards the exit.
“See! That’s the attitude I’m looking for!” Gojo raced forward, grabbing him by the shoulders to pull him in for a hug. Fushiguro pushed him backwards, shooting him a disgusted look.
Itadori bounded in their direction, “We will make you proud, Gojo-sensei!” he threw a thumbs up in the air.
Reina stood at the back of the classroom, surveying the scene. She walked towards the students, intending to follow them out towards the fields.
Gojo leaned in close to Itadori and spoke softly, “Yuji, I want you to be careful today with Gakuganji here. He already doesn’t like that I let you stay on as a student. Let’s not give him a reason to want to execute you sooner rather than later.”
Itadori nodded seriously, Gojo clapped him on the shoulder before leading the group outside.
The students ventured down to the track as Reina slid next to Gojo, “Why does Gakuganji not like Itadori?” she asked.
“Because of Sukuna,” he replied, watching as Kugisaki swept the feet out from underneath Itadori in a surprise attack.
“Who?” Reina’s brows furrowed as she sat down on the step.
“That’s funny,” Gojo smiled, crossing his arms.
“No, really, who is Sukuna?” she asked again, a hint of irritation in her tone.
Gojo turned towards her slowly, “Seriously?”
Reina looked around for a second before responding, “Yes, seriously.”
“You’ve been with us for six months and you haven’t noticed that Yuji has a mouth that pops out from his face once in a while that says weird shit?” he asked incredulously.
Reina threw her hands in the air, “I just thought it was his cursed technique, you guys all say weird shit!”
“Fair enough,” he responded. Gojo explained that the fifteen year old happened to be the King of Curse’s vessel and that Gakuganji, along with the other Higher Ups, had ordered his execution.
“So, you see, I am not that man’s favorite,” he chuckled. “And Yuji isn’t either so we have to be on our best behavior today.”
Gojo turned to meet Reina’s eyes, “Which means no picking fights, Iyashi. No matter how much it turns me on to see you come to my defense.”
She blushed, returning her gaze to the students, “I don’t pick fights. Other people pick them and I finish them.”
——————————————————————————————————
Reina glared in Gakuganji’s direction, her arms crossed over her chest as she leaned against the door. The TV screens ahead portrayed the students in various locations. Her eyes darted to the talismans hanging from the opposite wall as one burst into flames.
It had proved difficult to keep her word to Gojo, Gakuganji had made several comments about him and Itadori that forced Reina to clench her fists. She watched as Gojo reclined in his chair, ignoring the elder’s words.
He turned to her and lifted his blind fold to wink, Reina grimaced.
“The infamous Satoru Gojo, huh?” Kanoko leaned over from the seat behind Gojo, speaking directly into his ear. Reina stiffened, her foul mood worsening.
“That would be me,” Gojo responded without turning around, angling slightly away from her.
“Wow, it’s quite the treat to be able to work alongside someone as strong as you,” she cooed, twirling a piece of her hair with her finger.
Reina’s feet were moving before she fully realized, she leaned down next to her, “As the team strategist advising the children on their techniques, you should probably be watching them.”
“Oh,” Kanoko returned to her original position, her gaze slowly pulling from Gojo to meet hers. “You’re Reina Iyashi, aren’t you? Satoru’s assistant?”
Reina’s eye twitched, “I am Gojo’s assistant, yes.”
Kanoko redirected her attention to Gojo, placing a hand on his shoulder, “Looks like we’ll be spending a lot of time together, Satoru.”
“Iyashi, would you like to sit down?” Gojo asked, patting the seat next to him - his eyes still trained on the screens. Reina dragged her gaze away from Kanoko, reluctantly sitting.
“How do you know the governor, Hisakawa?” Utahime asked, turning back towards her.
“I have exorcized a few curses that have plagued his family,” she responded with a smile, they continued their conversation as Reina whispered to Gojo.
“Is the Governor a jujutsu sorcerer?”
“No, he’s more of a jujutsu ally. He knows of it,” he replied, crossing his arms. “We have the same common goal. So he helps us out by giving us certain resources but he portrays us in the media as vigilantes.”
Reina contemplated this; it hadn’t occurred to her at the banquet that none of the attendees knew of the jujutsu world. In retrospect, not a single person mentioned curses in their stories.
“What’s that?” Reina pointed at the screen, an unknown curse had entered the space. Inumaki headed in its direction unknowingly.
“Yes, Gakuganji, what is that?” Gojo turned to peer up at him.
Reina glanced in his direction before returning her attention to the screen. Inumaki came across the curse, attempting to use his technique before being tossed through the air - she could see him spitting out blood.
She stood abruptly, “We have to do something.”
“Sit down, girl.” commanded Gakuganji, slamming his cane into the ground with a thump. “Let us see what these students will soon offer the world of jujutsu.”
Reina glared at him, Gojo reached his hand out to her - gesturing for her to take a seat. Without taking her eyes off of Gakuganji she sat.
Turning back around, she watched as Panda came to Inumaki’s aid. Reina let out a sigh of relief. The curse slithered towards them, resembling a snake with a ghastly face. It proceeded to wrap around Panda, squeezing tightly. Inumaki attempted another attack to no avail.
“It seems as though your students need a little more training,” mused Kanoko. She leaned forward to grab onto Gojo’s bicep, “I can help you with that.”
Reina stormed from the room, barrelling outside without a sideways glance. A terrible feeling pooled in her stomach - she began to run.
Sprinting through the grounds towards the forest, she heard quick footsteps approaching from behind. She glanced to see Gojo gracefully jogging over the stones.
“Something’s wrong,” she shouted.
“I know,” he responded tightly.
They entered the forest, Reina followed Gojo as he guided them through the trees. A clearing opened ahead, the curse wrapped around Panda who was now unconscious. Itadori was desperately attempting to pry him out.
A second attacker appeared from behind, a large blue monster that took after a caterpillar, stabbing its stinger at Itadori who dodged.
The snake let go of Panda, leaving him on the forest floor before stalking after Itadori. Reina ran to Panda, assessing whether he was breathing. After determining that he was, she dragged him behind a tree and proceeded to follow the snake.
The caterpillar had redirected its attention to Inumaki, trudging in his direction.
He pulled his collar down, “Twist.” he shouted.
The curse began to contort, its head and tail remaining intact. It continued to drag itself towards Inumaki, spitting out a blue liquid that splattered onto his leg. He jumped back, the bottom half of his pants slowly dissolving.
Reina temporarily diverted her efforts, running at the caterpillar she sprung into the air - stabbing her kaiken into its eye. She swung herself onto its head and jerked the knife out. She slid down its back and hopped out of the way before the caterpillar could swing its stinger.
The curse picked its tail up and attempted to slam it down on Reina. She stepped out of the way, running towards its underbelly - she sliced across before sliding through the grass. The curse slammed into the ground where her body had previously been.
Reina leaped onto its back, stabbing both of her kaikens into the head. She hopped off, running in the direction of the snake.
Itadori flew through the air, slamming into a tree.
Gojo yanked the blindfold down, “Cursed technique: Blue,” an orb forming in front of him. It sucked the snake in, tumbling over itself attempting to desperately slither out. Gojo grabbed it, twisting it in itself before cutting its head off.
Reina ran towards Itadori who adamantly repeated that he was okay as she checked him head to toe.
“That thing was strong,” said Itadori, straightening as he walked in their direction.
“That’s because it was a semi grade one,” stated Gojo, wiping the splattered blood from his cheek.
“I didn’t know that there were any that high in the exchange event,” Itadori responded, staring down as the snake dissipated.
“There aren’t supposed to be,” said Gojo, his eyes connecting with Reina.
——————————————————————————————————
Kanoko stood at the top of the steps, clapping. Reina glanced at her before making her way up, Gojo trailed behind her helping a disoriented Panda to walk.
“Very chivalrous of you,” she commented as Reina pushed past. “Satoru, watching you use Blue was so exhilarating. You’ll have to let me see it in person sometime.”
Reina shook her head as she re-entered the room. Gakuganji stared up at her, his eyes holding no kindness.
“You did that on purpose, didn't you?” she spit.
“I do not know what you are talking about, girl. This is the second time you have spoken to me with that tone. I would take care to avoid it in the future as I am not a person you want as an enemy,” he warned, his grip tightening on the cane.
“You ever threaten my students again, I promise that you’ll have worse things to worry about than my tone,” Reina stated, holding his stare before exiting the room.
The Tokyo students won by one curse, the night was spent celebrating - a dinner provided by Yaga. Reina watched helplessly as Kanoko took every opportunity to praise Gojo, touching him mindlessly.
Sitting quietly in the corner, Fushiguro pulled a chair up next to her. They ate in comfortable silence before he finally said, “I don’t like her,” he jutted his chin towards Kanoko. She stood next to Gojo, leaning against him - holding onto his bicep.
Reina smiled at Fushiguro before taking another bite. She avoided Gojo and Kanoko for the remainder of the evening. When he would attempt to make a joke or pull her into conversation, she skillfully evaded.
She breathed a sigh of relief as she stood outside of the room, leaning her head against the wall. It had been the first time in the night that she was alone.
“Are you dating Satoru?” Kanoko appeared next to her. A smile formed on her lips as Reina’s eyes widened.
She paused before responding, unsure how to define their relationship. Reina was not confident that Gojo’s feelings stretched past his apparent masochism.
“No,” she responded flatly. Surprised at the twinge of hurt the words elicited.
“Oh, so you won’t mind if I go for it then?” Kanoko leaned in, touching Reina’s elbow softly. “Girl to girl, I don’t think you’re much his type anyways. Guys like that want to feel strong.”
Reina’s face fell, “Do whatever you want,” she began to walk down the corridor.
“Thanks for the endorsement,” Kanoko laughed before returning to the group.
——————————————————————————————————
Reina wandered aimlessly around the campus, contemplating her emotions. She found herself in Gojo’s classroom, sliding her fingers along the desk as she gazed at the moon through the window.
In reality, Reina had no reason to tell Kanoko to not pursue Gojo. If she wanted to date him then it was her right to do so.
Even though the thought nauseated her.
The door closed with a harsh thwack, Reina jolted - whipping around. Gojo stood in front of the exit, one hand in his pocket and the other lingering on the frame.
“Are you going to tell me what’s going on?” he asked, taking a tentative step in her direction - meeting her gaze.
“Nothing is going on, Gojo,” she replied, her head angled to the board - avoiding his piercing stare.
“Have you grown tired of me, Iyashi?” Gojo prowled forward.
“No,” Reina responded hastily, her eyes widening.
Gojo closed the distance, staring down at her, “Your fickle nature, Iyashi, I can deal with that - I love to deal with that,” he chuckled. “But your cold indifference - that I can’t take much more of.”
Reina’s eyes crinkled in response, her mouth downturned, “Gojo, I-” she began.
“What do I have to do?” he interrupted, his eyes searching her own.
“Nothing,” Reina shook her head, her brows furrowing.
“I just- she-,” she stammered, unsure how to convey the emotions she had experienced.
Without sounding childish.
Gojo sat patiently, analyzing her reaction.
A splatter of pink slowly crept over her cheeks, “Kanoko,” she paused - avoiding eye contact. “She asked if she could date you.”
Gojo turned his gaze to the ceiling, his eyes closing slightly.
He sighed, “Iyashi, were you jealous?” He asked the question as if the possibility was laughable.
Reina stiffened, striking him with a hard glare, “No, I-”. Her shoulders slumped at the realization - she was jealous. She knew that Gojo would never allow her to live this down.
“Well,” she tilted her head back and forth - tossing around the idea. Unwilling to confirm outright.
Gojo smirked, “Listen very carefully.” He met her gaze, holding eye contact, "The only woman’s attention that I want is yours.”
He cocked his head to the side, “And honestly, you’re a handful enough as is,” Reina scoffed, smacking him lightly on the chest. Gojo’s shoulders sighed with relief, leaning close to her face.
“I thought about your question,” his voice soft, studying her as the comfortable silence stretched between them.
“I am happy.”
Reina found herself leaning towards him - her eyes softened as she gazed into his. An unfamiliar tug in her abdomen made her swallow hard, her gaze darting to his lips.
A slow and sweet smile spread across his face, he reached a hand out and stroked her cheek.
Reina suddenly had a feeling that there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for Satoru Gojo.
She leaned forward, one hand reaching out to grab his shirt - quickly pulling him towards her.
Reina’s lips met his, she watched his eyes widen before closing her own.
His arm had fallen from holding her face to gripping her hip. Gojo slowly nudged her backwards - the backs of her thighs colliding with the desk.
Reina tightened her grip on his top, angling her head to deepen the kiss. Her body flushed with heat, her lips desperate.
He groaned, placing his arms on either side of her clutching the edge of the desk. Reina leaned back, seating herself on the wood - dragging him with her.
“Nothing to say, pretty boy?” she paused momentarily, murmuring against his lips. “That would be a first.”
“These lips, Iyashi,” he placed a sweet kiss on her mouth before pulling back - her eyelids fluttering.
“They are mine,” Gojo nudged her legs open, placing himself in between. He stroked her hip before sliding down her thigh.
He kissed the nape of her neck, grabbing the opposite side of her throat with his hand. Reina leaned into his palm, sucking in sharply as his fingers traced lines on the inside of her thigh - teasing the edge of her underwear.
“Those sounds are mine,” he whispered into her ear, pressing his lips to the skin behind. Reina shifted her thighs, a deep yearn growing.
He chuckled at her reaction, “Do you want me to use my mouth elsewhere?” Gojo lightly dragged a finger over the thin fabric underneath her skirt. “Like here?” He applied pressure.
A soft moan suffocated in Reina’s throat, her head leaning back. Gojo’s fingers lightly wrapped around her throat as he kissed her lips - dragging his tongue over the inside of her mouth.
“Lean back, let me taste you again, Iyashi,” he commanded in a low sultry voice.
Reina’s head was light, she could feel her wetness growing at his words. She leaned back onto her elbows, the image of Gojo adjusting to a kneeling position between her legs causing her to bite her lower lip.
He maintained eye contact as he dragged his hands down the tops of her thighs before pressing them backwards to fall to either side. Gojo pressed soft kisses to the inside of her thighs before using his teeth to nip - Reina gasped and jerked away.
Gojo smirked before licking at where he had left the mark, kissing it lightly.
He traced his fingers over her panties, leaning forward he licked the fabric over her clit. Reina bucked against his mouth, her head falling back.
“Such a needy girl, aren’t you?” he cooed, repeating the motion.
Reina licked her lips, watching as Gojo hooked a finger under the seam of her underwear and dragged it to the side.
“I can fix that,” he said before slowly licking her bare clit. He traced an agonizing circle, sucking lightly.
A moan slipped from Reina’s lips. She reached out, sliding a hand through his hair. He sucked her into his mouth and hummed.
Reina arched her back, lifting her hips off the desk. Gojo moaned, gripping her thighs tightly - pressing them further back to adjust the angle.
She could feel the familiar tightening in her stomach as she grinded against his mouth.
“O-oh, fuck,” she groaned as both of her hands gripped tightly onto Gojo’s hair. Reina rode his tongue - her orgasm shuddering through her.
“You look so fucking pretty like this, Iyashi.” Gojo licked his lips as he straightened, leaning over her to press a kiss to her mouth.
“How do you taste?” he inquired with a smirk.

Clairvoyant: Visions (pt. 2)
Nanami Kento x International Sorcerer!Clairvoyant!Reader
Prologue (heavily encouraged to read this first.)
wc: 2.3k
warnings: mention of blood/gore (brief descriptions), very short sexual cues, SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS you MUST be finished with season 2 please & ty
a/n: requests are always open, submit shit, im bored <3
“Nanamin,” Yuji calls, finding his teacher standing in the back of the assembly hall, his face pale. “What does this mean?”
“It means we’re getting a visitor,” Nanami frowns, hands tensed at his sides.
“Then why is everyone so worried?”
“Because,” Gojo joins in, grinning, having appeared out of nowhere. “Everyone here is a worrywart. Nothing is going to happen.”
“Did you not receive the code?” Nanami raises a brow. “The damned Reaper Repeller is coming. The kids don’t deserve to be lied to.”
“…What’s the Reaper Repeller?” Yuji tilts his head to the side. “Some weapon?”
“I met her a couple times,” Gojo’s smile widens. “She’s pretty damn cool. She’s part of the International Squad and can see the future, so when she shows up it either means that our superiors deemed that a mission needed an extra hand, or that she saw something and is coming to change what she saw. Last time, she saw that I was gonna make a building fall or something, so she gave me a certain set of rules, like what to not do. No buildings fell, so she’s pretty legit.”
“That was an 18C18 code,” Nanami grumbles. “That didn’t even require an assembly. This is an 18J18.”
“…What’s that one, again?” Gojo gives a sheepish smile.
“I’m so lost,” Yuji mumbles, looking between the two. “18?”
Megumi walks up, followed by Nobara, and joins the conversation. “This is a J?”
Nanami nods.
“How do you break down the codes?” Nobara adds.
Nanami sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose. “The eighteens are for R and R, due to her nickname. The letter in the middle represents what she saw. For example, she showed up to Canada a few months ago on a code 18A18, which meant a battle would cause some sort of dispute that would stir trouble. B means she saw a civilian or two die. C means she saw mass civilian death. And so on, until J. It’s the maximum letter.”
“And?” Nobara pushes, raising a brow.
“It means she saw something very bad, and everyone has been gathered to be told who is set to die.”
Stepping off the jet, you haul your suitcase behind you, and are immediately greeted by two men. You know them both — you studied the entire Japanese Sorcerer database on your way here.
Kiyotaka Ijichi, clad in a suit with a grimace on his face.
Masamichi Yaga, principal of Tokyo Jujutsu High and teacher to one of the students you watched die.
“We would welcome you, but we know you aren’t here with good news,” Yaga says with a sigh, straightening his uniform. “Please, follow us. Ijichi will take your bags.
The pilot of your jet is already helping Mila unload the twenty-three suitcases you brought, all full to the brim with weapons and necessary training items you handpicked to make sure you turn the gate of Shibuya.
“My associate will get them,” you gesture to Mila, who is currently hooking all of the bags onto her extra limbs, leaning back a little from the weight. You grip the handle of your singular personal suitcase.
The two men nod, not bothering to even try arguing with you. Why would they, when you’ve come with death biting your heels?
You slip sunglasses off of your forehead and over your eyes, following them as you approach three cars, sleek and black with a subtle Jujutsu symbol on the back license plate.
It’s a short car ride over, one in which you and Mila sit silently in the back of a limo, while Yaga tries to ask you questions. Nobody gets a private briefing, that’s just how you operate. You avoid all his inquiries with vague comments, crossing your legs and sipping a glass of sparkling water. International sorcerers are known for kind of being hardasses anyway, so
You pull up to the school in no time, and Yaga escorts you and Mila through the building, down hallways and around corners. Eventually, he stops outside a large set of double doors and turns to face you.
“This is the assembly hall. All of Japan’s sorcerers are gathered behind these doors,” he gestures to the entrance. “Please remember that we have children in there.”
“I know,” you whisper. “One of them dies.”
Yaga goes very still, and you walk past him, opening the doors and immediately finding yourself on a slightly elevated platform.
A massive crowd of dark blue uniforms stands before you, all falling quiet at your entry.
You step forward, approaching a podium. Mila has her spider limbs tucked away, as to not appear threatening. She hands you a stack of papers, and you gather them, placing them on the podium as you lean forward to speak onto the microphone.
“Good Evening, sorcerers. My name is (Y/n). I won’t stretch this meeting to be longer than needed. My technique is Clairvoyance, and I am here because I have seen the future of a battle here in Japan. It will take place in Shibuya, on October 31st.”
A murmur goes through the crowd, but you clear your throat to recapture their full attention.
“I do not want you to be afraid. My visions can be changed. Without me, there will be sorcerer death, irrevocable damage, and the snuffing out of thousands of lives, including civilians. But I am here to help. To do so effectively, I will call forward the names of the affected. I will save your lives. Stop you from losing limbs. Prevent disaster. Do not be afraid.”
The room goes deadly silent.
“Nanami Kento.”
And just like that, the crowd erupts once more.
A man in the back of the crowd — the blond that you saw burnt and ultimately exploded — nods to the pink-haired boy at his side and starts making his way through the crowd.
With a sharp raising of my hand, the crowd goes silent once more, as Nanami passes soldiers who give him solemn nods.
“Kugisaki Nobara.”
You continue calling names, until you have at least a dozen sorcerers in front of you. Too many are children. There are managers, too, and other people in suits.
Your eyes skim the crowd, then fall back to your paper, which has crumpled in your grip. You call the last name, knowing what reaction you’ll get.
“Gojo Satoru.”
The crowd erupts, the room filling shouts and surprised cries and confused discussion.
The Untouchable.
You take a steadying breath at the rowdiness and gesture towards a private briefing room to your left, raising your voice to a shout.
“I will now ask for those who have been called to follow my associate here into a separate room. You all will be privately briefed. The rest of you… you will get the minimum details from your superiors.”
With that, you step back from the podium, and even more of the gathered sorcerers start shouting, demanding more details. You ignore them — you have to. Mila guides the called ones into a side room, just as you approach a small group of superiors and give them the very basics: there will be a city cratering, and the start of many bad, bad situations. You inform them that you will be making ideal teams for the mission, which you will release in a few days’ time.
With dragging feet, you force yourself to walk to the side room, where all of the ill-fated sorcerers are.
So far, at least.
Dealing with the future is a tricky business. Changing one thing, even so simple as this meeting, will cause different futures, which you will see and have to adapt to.
You swing open the door, and find everyone already sitting at a long, oval table.
“I’m sure you’re all not happy to be here,” you take a corner of the room to stand in, crossing your arms and attempting to look as non threatening as possible. “Unfortunately, this meeting is necessary. I’ll call you each one by one into a private space, to be told what will happen without intervention. From there, we’ll talk about options—”
“(Y/n),” Gojo interrupts, leaning back in his chair like this is all just a game. “You know me. I don’t really need to be here, do I?”
“You do.”
“What’s gonna happen, I get a scratch? Lose a limb? Shoko will fix all of that,” he drawls, putting his hands behind his head.
“Gojo, you’re going to be sealed in a box, and then a shit ton of people are going to die or be injured trying to save your ass,” you reply, narrowing your eyes. “You need to be here.”
No more arguments come.
You step forward, softening your expression, and your eyes land on the blond man, sans goggles — Nanami Kento. He’s handsome, even if in the back of your mind you still see that burned half of him. You decide he’ll be the first.
“Kento, right?” You drop the formalities — which you’re happy to do anyway, since you usually struggle with those when you’re in Japan. “Please, come with me.”
His jaw tenses as his eyes flick over you, and then he stands. You escort him into a small private room, closing the door behind you. There’s three comfortable chairs and a little coffee table, which has tissues and a pitcher of water with glasses on it. Comfort items, because people often cry.
Kento sits in one chair, and you take the one across from him. He’s exactly as you imagined in your vision. Tall, muscular, with a sharp jaw to match. He smells like vanilla and cedar. Except this time, the putrid scent of burning flesh is left out. He’s so… lovely.
“Lay it on me,” he clasps his hands together in his lap, after pulling his goggles off.
You chew your bottom lip. You usually don’t have issues with this part of the process; the bluntness is part of your job. But something about this man is putting you off, making your mind stagger behind your duty. Typically, there’s a sniffling/worried/sobbing/angry person in front of you. But Kento? He’s so… ready for this. Not upset at all.
“You would die a hero,” you whisper.
Then you blink, realizing what you said. There’s no need for comfort here. Excessive sweetening of the truth is just counterproductive. And yet, something in you is screaming at you not to stop.
“In your current fate, a curse burns half of your body. And yet, you still fight. On death’s door, you would be noble. A good mentor for your students. One they would miss dearly,” a tear pricks at the edge of your eye. “The curse by the name of Mahito is the one to finish you off. But we will stop that path. You will live, that I can be sure of. I’m sure your future has already changed, just because this conversation is setting the base for the weeks of prevention training to come.”
If anything is going through his head, he doesn’t show it. “Does your technique show you when the future changes?”
You scratch the back of your neck. “In a way. My technique has a mind of it’s own. I can typically foresee imminent death a few moments before it happens, but I can also get mass visions like I got of Shibuya. If I need something more specific, like to see if your future changes, I would have to touch you, and then see what my technique gives… me…”
You trail off as he holds out his hand, eyes focused with intent.
“Please,” he murmurs.
You nod, slowly sliding your hand against his—
“Oh my gods, that’s a lot of roses,” your jaw drops, eyes widening at the sight before you.
Your bed is littered with roses. The floor is covered in its petals. It’s beautiful, and the scent fills your nose with a loveliness like no other.
“You deserve every last one,” Kento grins, coming up behind you and kissing the nape of your neck. His arms slide around your waist. “For honoring me in being my wife.”
“Wife,” you giggle, tossing your head back to gaze up at him. “I’m never gonna get used to that. Mrs. Nanami,” your tone becomes sing-songy as you admire your engagement ring.
“Always and forever, my love,” he leans down, claiming your mouth with his. His thumbs rub against your hips, then move inwards, moving up and down the seam of your jeans crotch, as you feel him against your ass—
You pull your hand away quickly, blinking as you snap back to reality. You look to his hand, then to his face, but all you can see are his lips, those lips that kisses you better than you’ve ever been kissed in that vision—
“What did you see?” He asks, leaning forward. “What did you see?”
You open and close your mouth. Once. Twice. Thrice.
“Well…” you start, chewing your lip. “…You live past Shibuya, that I’m certain of.”
Relief crosses his face, and he relaxes, all as your heart pounds harder.
You glance down at your left hand, the hand that now feels too light without a diamond on it. Then you glance back up to him, and even though his expression gives nothing away, you know from that vision that something else is brewing in that beautiful, beautiful head of his.
Because this man? Nanami Kento?
He’ll be your husband.
