Welcome to the Hermitcraft Recap! My name is Joe Hills, our writer is Joe Hills, and we already have a Scar-made chest monster in front of my bedroom door.

For those unaware: we are currently two-thousand and twenty-two years after the Final Update, everyone we know and love are dead, and I think someone set the kitchen on fire, judging from how loudly people are yelling.

And with that out of the way, let’s take a look at all the events and mishaps that occurred in Hermiton’s general area this week.

Let’s start with GoodTimesWithScar! Scar landed rather awkwardly on a flight of stairs today and got stuck. Fortunately, Jellie was very much not stuck, due to being a cat, and was able to fetch help after receiving some well-deserved scritches. She works hard, that cat.

And so does ZombieCleo! Cleo’s been run off her feet trying to get us all under control, despite the oxymoron. Still, we appreciate the effort, Cleo! You’re doing your best.

And hey, at least she’s contributing to the group, unlike BdoubleO100, who forgot that ovens need to be turned off. Ah, cultural disconnect. Fun!

And he blamed it on Doc, too, which is kind of rude.

Seeing that everyone has wandered away to do their own thing, Techno slinks closer to the Blood God, staring at the mustached man speculatively.

He frowns slightly when the cold sunlight of the arctic glints off the buckle of Mumbo’s cowboy hat.

“So I heard rumors that you're the CEO of Boatem… how’s that going for you? Are you becoming power-thirsty? Should I be wary of my patron god?”

“Well I am CEO… technically, but I’m more like the spokesperson and budget manager of the Boatem Crew.” Mumbo clears his throat. “Grian is the one who made me CEO without my knowledge.” As he says that his entire demeanour shifting so suddenly that Techno feels the need to blink a few times to adjust to Mumbo’s new ping pattern, if he can even use pvp terms in this situation.

Truly, the change is drastic.

One second, Mumbo is wearing a nervously polite, yet so very warm and quirk of his lips that somehow fits him like a glove.

The next, his entire demeanour has turned morose. His forehead becomes creased as his eyebrows furrow in a frown, his jaw tightening, his eyes growing slightly dimmer. His shoulders are pulled back and tense, his spine ramrod straight.

Mumbo heaves a sigh as he glances at Grian, who is doing some risky acrobatics in the air above their heads with Pearl and Philza on tow, but there’s a small fond smile floating across his lips.

Techno can relate with his mentor. It’s been so long since he’s seen Philza be so happy. He knows that getting his wings back means the world to his best friend.

“Though, let’s be real for a second, it’s not like Grian would actually let me hold any kind of power. He hates authority so much that he always tries his hardest to put his closest friends in positions of authority. That way he knows them enough to keep them from actually being in charge.”
