Daily Dragon #350 / #351 - Mega Charizard X & Mega Charizard Y

It's been irking me a little that the yearly Charizard kind of won't count for this challenge. But I figured I can still include my favorite Pokemon on a technicality!

I VERY rarely draw these mega evolutions. But they are both REALLY cool in my opinion. I like Y for being a little more simple and a little more fantasy looking, it has nice shapes. And I like X for being just so edgy and over the top and extra. Mega evolutions genuinely rule imo

Probably won't make it into the challenge but maybe next year I can draw Gigantimax Charizard and potentially even the Terestral Charizard. I've never drawn either of them... Cause they kinda suck imo lmao

Daily Dragon #352 - Snowdragon

A dragon made completely out of snow, stones, and small things the creator used as accessories! Most notably, within it are enchanted gems from a dragon's horde, allowing the Snowdragon to come to life!

This is a slightly less ambitious redraw this time lol. This is a dragon from maybe around 2014-2016ish?? I wanted to wait and see if it would snow irl so I could make a REAL Snowdragon. But it's becoming apparent to me that's not happening lol. So I just redrew this instead :)

Daily Dragon #353 - Damnation

This is Damnation, the Evil God Dragon! This was the big finale to my Monthly Dragon challenge in 2020! They're the grand final boss of your adventure, are you ready??

I tried to unify the color scheme a little bit more cause I thought all the red looked cool? I hope you agree!!

Also this is the other dragon I REALLY wanted to get done during this challenge! Alongside the Fruit Dragon, but they were so complicated I didn't think I'd get it done in time. But I cleaned up the design a bit and while it's hard to tell what's going on imo... Its cool enough

Daily Dragon #354 - Grey Greaver

One more anthro dragon before the challenge ends, why not? Grey works as a Bar Tender. He's very powerful and loves fighting, beating up people who cause problems in his bar!

Daily Dragon #355 - Gorosaur

Large and aggressive monsters that can release powerful blasts of electricity from their bodies! They can concentrate the power through beams from their mouth, or release it as a powerful blast from all over their bodies!

Daily Dragon #356 - Midgardsormr

A dragon I've been meaning to redraw LONG before this challenge. It's finally time to do some Dragalia Lost fanart once again :) This game was so cool and had some wonderful dragons. This was really fun to do!

When Dragalia Lost was just announced (so like 2018?) I drew Brunhilda and Midgardsormr cause I was SO excited for it, of course I was, it had dragons in it. So the redraw was between the two of them, but I went for Midgardsormr cause I have protagonist disease.

Here's how I drew him in 2018!! How time flies...

This game was really cool and I'm still sad it never got a proper console port or anything in Smash Bros. I never finished the story when the game closed so I should sit down and watch it soon. Listening to Cinderella Step while drawing this made me a little emotional lol

Daily Dragon #357 - Heartless Wyvern

I've done a couple of dragons from different RPG series. And it just felt appropriate to do one more that's been left off: Kingdom Hearts! This is my favorite Heartless, and I wanted to do it WAY earlier but really struggled with it until now

Well, to be honest, I still struggled with this a lot. Particularly the head and surprisingly thick meaty legs on these guys. But I think it came out alright. I hope you like it!

It is December. Where is snow. Old woman rant commencing now.

When I was a kid, we would get snow even as early as November, damn, I remember snow on November 1st on my evening trips to the cemetery. It looked so magical back then, with all the colourful lights (when people would get sth else than just plain white ones...) on the graves and the snow cradling the ground and trees for a couple months of sleep.

December was cold, temperature would reach even -20 degrees. I remember having enough snow for multiple snowmen (snowdragons, to be exact, if you care) or going sledding. I remember going skating on a frozen lake (dont @ me, i was a kid and then teen and had many stupid and irresponsible ideas. Also the point is that it was cold enough to cross 5km of a lake on foot "safely").

I'm sad that my nieces will never experience this. I am sad that I will never experience this again. It breaks my heart that a broken world is what we leave for future generations. It breaks my heart that I have to see it.

Winter used to be beautiful. Now it's just another Autumn.

Still laughing, she nodded vigorously. “Yes! I’m sure! You tackled me! I’m telling Mom, she’ll believe me, I’m sure of it!”

The promise of hot chocolate seemed to instantly make her back down, and smile ever so present, she nodded once again. “Yeah, that’s fair, I guess, but I’m still telling Mom.”

“Okay!” She exclaimed, immediately starting to pile up snow and work with Hiccup to shape Toothless.

By the time they’d finish, Danny was a bit more upset than before, mainly because in her eyes, she’d done a not so great job at building Toothless, compared to her dad at least.

“…I don’t like it,” she muttered, “My part is so ugly— why can’t it look like yours? I did everything just like you did!”

"And what will you say in three years when you turn ten? That's double digits, too! Will you be old then, too?"

"Wha--you'd turn mom against me too? Ahh, alright, alright! I admit it! I pulled you down!" He hung his head in pretend shame. "I knew I wouldn't get away with it, actually..." Grinning playfully, he pulled her into a quick hug. "Nothing gets past you, does it?"

He became determined, excited to make another snowball version of his best friend.

His skilled hands knew just what to do, how much snow to shave down in some spots, and build up in others, helping Danny here and there.

Stepping back, he looked at their snowdragon, giving a satisfied grin.

Hearing she didn't like it, his face fell. "What? It's not ugly! Look..." Gesturing to the snowdragon, he pointed out, "do you know what I see? I see the combined efforts of a father and daughter, who had a wonderful time together in the snow."

Kneeling down to be eye level with her, he added, "My side looks like that, because I've just had more practice. Personally, I love your side more, because it's yours, and it brings me joy to see it."

"Let's build Stormfly, and we'll work more closely together. Or, maybe we should take a break...are you getting cold?" His eyes looked her over for signs of being too cold: shivering, chattering teeth, blue lips.

The holo over the chessboard showed a woman as cold of eye as any Imp captain they'd ever seen.

Luke stood out of sight, but the look on his face was disturbed.

"In the name of the Galactic Republic, I'm here to find out what business you think you have here, Lieutenant." Leia leaned on the title. "The Seventh was routed at Lothal ten years ago."

"The Galactic Republic, Princess Organa?" The title made Leia's hands tighten in the sleeves of her senatorial gown. "Fair enough. We are here at the invitation of the system governors, who were promised protection and aid that you failed to deliver. You cannot govern, or rule, or enforce, or provide. You are flailing and failing for the reason that independent systems fail - it's a good deal for the wealthy worlds of the Core and Inner Rim - it's a shit deal for everyone else struggling with pirates, slavers, smugglers, and criminals."

"I didn't notice the Imperials taking home gold stars on their governance work, your Captainship," Han jibed. "Last I looked, we ran you out."

"Lothal's defense forces were wiped out in a fight with the Black Sun. They asked us for aid." A pause and a vicious smile. "We declined."

"And who is 'us' - exactly? Palpatine is dead, the Imperial remnants scattered and decimating each other in power grabs." Leia tilted her head, still smarting from being addressed as Princess. "The Empire is over, Captain."

"Han there's a charge building on the Snowdragon's hull-" Luke murmured. "She's going to-

"An empire need not have an emperor, an empress, or even a royal line." The ISD's shields spiked and flicked the Falcon clear of the docking collar and sent her tumbling into space. "All an empire needs is an heir. I serve the Heir to the Empire. That is all you need to know."

Doggy snow is here. I actually finished this yesterday but i was hoping i would be able to finish his dragon ref too so i could post it all pretty together :) But alas, it wasnt meant to be. At least his dragon ref is in a useable state:

But yeah i would have liked to adjust the graphic design. It's always a lil tough for me to figure out how to lay out a ref Also here is the bio I quickly wrote for artfight:

Basics are: ancient snowdragon turned demon who somehow ended up on Isla Dracon and near Auron city (the city thorn resides). Thorn encountered him, they had a scuffle where thorn pinned him and showed him who'se boss and ever since then Snow has been utterly and completely devoted to thorn and would gladly lay down his life for thorn to protect him from harm. He will follow any order from thorn, being both his guard and attack dog, as well as an emotional support dog that makes sure thorn doesnt overwork himself too much and takes breaks. While Snow is capable of understanding all that is said to him and even has the capacity to speak, he rarely talks and if he does its usually only a few simple words at a time. He prefers to communicate through body language and noises and is in general very animalistic in nature. He is mostly driven by instinct and also isnt the brightest tool in the shed. He is easily confused/tricked though you will never be able to trick his sense of smell. His nose does not lie and he can easily identify and track scents, even if they are faint.

While Snow is dangerous and can and will absolutely eat your face if thorn would order him to do so, he also is a huge silly goober who is gentle with the people left in his care. He loves to go on walkies, run around, play with toys and receive all the pets and scritches from thorn and his employees. He also is an absolute glutton for treats and giving him one is the fastest way to get him to soften up on you. He will eat most of anything but his favorite treats are fish (especially salmon), bones/chewy snacks, frozen snacks, and anything smelly that he isnt supposed to be getting into.

During the holidays, Thorn enjoys putting him in silly costumes and have sable take photos of him to put on the casino's social media page. Snow isnt the biggest fan of this but he will do anything for thorn so he tolerates it. Plus, he always gets a nice treat after so it's forgiven.

Snow can turn into any animal he has seen before, be it in person, in photos or in video. However he does have tells. The animal will always be abnormally large for it's species/breed, have a black coat with lighter skeletal like markings, have red eyes, the same scars as his dragon form and they often have an underbite and sharp teeth/enlarged canines/tusks. Thorn just decided on a rottie for snow's main disguise as he thought it would be a suitable breed for him to be seen with as a powerful mob boss.

It's the Trowbridge Tonics and Tinctures Team!

Avery is the apprentice, learning how to do a little bit of everything. She'll one day take over the shop and train others on how to do everything. She's an enthusiastic employee who brings a good energy, but despite her excitement, she's easily overwhelmed and panicked and has a lot left to learn.

Everett is a luck dragon who specializes in potion making, an exact science that requires a perfect balance of ingredients. He's very smart in that way, but he's also very oblivious a lot of the time. Though he refuses to believe that he could ever be imperfect.

Iris is an aquatic dragon, striking a very similar appearance to an axolotol. She works with plants, she's able to talk to them and help them grow. The herbalist of the group, she gathers ingredients for the potions.

Oden is a glazier, being a fire dragon he's able to use his abilities to create glass bottles for the potions. He's a skilled glass blower and even makes glass art from time to time.

Ulf is a Terrible Terror that works in maintenance, he makes sure the place stays clean and running smoothly. He's also known for keeping the countertop warm as he naps in the sun's rays.

Sometimes, Yuki, the snowdragon, comes in to lend a claw or four, usually depending on how busy the shop is or the time of year. They do general jobs wherever somebody needs a few extra hands.

Sapphire, the fairy, is their boss, owner of the shop, in charge of the counter, customer service, employee resources, finances, etc., and is also mother to her apprentice, Avery.
