cars headcanons (mostly having to do with my favorites)

cars flirt by revving their engines. basically the car equivalent to purring aggressively.

I wonder what exactly Snot Rod’s relationship is with the rest of the Tuner Gang because he seems like the odd one out in basically every way. He has a different accent then the rest of the Gang does. He’s an American make and model (based on the Plymouth Barracuda and the Dodge Charger) while the rest of the gang are Japanese imports. The rest of the gang drive in a tight synchronized formation while Snot Rod lags behind and seems to struggle to maintain speed with them. 

And my favorite subject - character design!!!! Look at this picture

Snot Rod has a warm color motif (orange) and the rest of the gang have cool color motifs (blue, cyan, purple, and green)

He has much fewer body modifications in general

Only member of the gang without a spoiler

Only member of the gang without any LED’s on his sides

His tailpipe flames are different - DJ, Wingo, and Boost all have thick conical artificially-colored flames that extend behind them, while Snot Rod’s flames sort of fan out to his sides

Even his headlights are different. You can see the rest of the Tuner Gang have harsh white LED’s, but Snot Rod has softer yellow incandescent headlamps (color motif again I imagine)

DJ

mixes edm sometimes, he's got a small but loyal cluster of followers

loves watching fast and furious

he tried a red paintjob once. he never looked at red the same way again

is a rabbit lover. he owns like three rabbits and named them after music notes (namely, semi quaver, quaver and minim)

has two siblings, both older. he doesn't get along well with them though

always felt like a sort of outcast, so he was surprised when he ended up being the 'leader' of the tuner crew

Boost

Chemistry is the love of his life (real)

has had an experiment blow up in his face one too many times

started drinking alcohol/high grade a lot younger than he should have - he doesn't really like the taste of it though, funnily enough

actually likes classical music more than edm - he and snot rod argue over who the best composer is sometimes

likes anything grape flavoured. anything and everything grape flavoured. wingo uses this weakness to bribe him into participating in pranks all the time

he accidentally lost one of DJ's rabbits before and panicked a lot. thankfully he found it before DJ returned home though, or he probably wouldn't be alive today

Snot Rod

his allergies have always been a thing since young

the tuner gang are actually the first group of people not to mock him for his allergies, hence why he grew so close to them

he's the kind who films vines on a constant basis

is the school's newspaper editor

actually the most work-oriented of the four, they always beg him to make schedules for them

obsessed with starwars (or carwars, if you will)

has participated in a street race with boost before. they won... somehow.

Wingo

tokyo drift. he watches it at least twice a year.

very art-inclined. he runs a side job in school where people pay him to customise stuff

formed a pretty strong bond with ramone after the latter saw one of his graffiti murals and complimented the colour contrast

family doesn't support him in his art ventures, but he has the tuner crew for that, at least

definitely has like five different pairs of visors/sunglasses to look cool

has the best fashion sense of the four, but can't concentrate on a single thing for his life

has won multiple art competitions in school
